Dairy Queen Grill & Chill in other cities:
Who puts freaking trees and a birthday cake??? I said fall theme meaning flowers that a friggin tree never in my life had I had a cake with a tree at it and I’m 68 years old!$! I should’ve asked for my money back but I had to have a cake for my daughter’s birthday and my nephews birthday but next day. I’m so disgusted that I want to tell anyone that orders anything from Dairy Queen get a different Dairy Queen they’re horrible!!! The cake decorator really messed up. She knew it was a birthday cake with two names on it so why would you put a freaking ugly tree on it??? I really wanted my money back and nobody helped me!!! Not order a cake at Brunswick dairy queen they’re horrible and so are the people that wait on you !!! I told her how unhappy I was and she offered me no help.!!!
The experience wasnt horrible per say. The workers were relatively nice and the product was really good. However when it takes twenty minutes to get said product and the worker gets a bit snappy with me toward the end...it dampens the experience. Obviously I understand everyone has bad days and people have good days and bad days. I get it but I wouldnt not recommend this place but I would advise them to take some extra time for a wait.
I pulled in with 3 other cars at the same time waited 10 minutes and I was next in line and they shut the lights off on the board. I heard the guy in front of me ordering and then it was my turn. The automated system came on telling me to go ahead with my order. Then a girl comes on telling me we are closed. I told the girl we were next.. and the light shut off the door says 930pm the web says 930pm and she said “ well we haven’t changed that I’m sorry we are closed” next time make sure you let the parking lot clear out then turn your lights off.. and to the employee yelling in the back don’t you get it we are closed. Well I woulda gotten it if you changed ur door signs and fix the web times!! We spend plenty of money there after baseball games and other things but not no more.. I’ll just go to the strongsville one from here on out! Shame on you guys!!
I am normally not one of these people and it is a hit or miss with this place.. but I understand young kids mainly work it and we all start somewhere! I love Dairy Queen and so do my pups :) but today while waiting for our ice cream I noticed through the window that an employee was cutting up a banana and touching it with her bare hands which eventually was placed into a customers order and served.. I’m assuming that is not protocol under normal circumstances but I’m most certain in this “pandemic” that the guidelines are a bit more strict in all aspects. Very disappointing. I love coming here but the thought of anyone touching my food with their bare hands.. yuck.
Went up there to grab a quick bite with the wife couple days ago. Was told to pull off to the side for a 5 min wait on a chicken sandwich and ended up waiting a half hour. Walked in and my food was sitting on the counter while the employees were conversating with each other. Come to find out the chicken was not cooked well and was very gamey.
Very disappointed in the quality of their food. Bun was wet, burger tasted as if it had been soaked in water. No flavor, fries were cold. No one in the restaurant, 1 car at drive-thru, food was terrible. Staff was snippy when we asked for fresh fries, so we left, wont revisit.
Very good service we have been to this location several times. The team and management seem to work well together having fun and getting orders pulled together. We used to get the ice cream which is good but with the cheeseburger special that was recently going on, tried them and now have a favorite fast food burger stop.
I came in Wednesday evening last week and was not happy at all. There was a worker (I believe it was probably the manager) she was talking to a customer the whole time I was there and didn’t even greet me. Their conversation consisted of them talking about how masks do not work. This made me question how much safety precaution is being taken with my food. It made me very uncomfortable and I feel this needs to be addressed.
Didnt eat here this trip, but we have previously with varying results. This time was to pick up a birthday cake that I preordered online. Took 20 minutes, as the cake was not done when I arrived and they had to have someone decorate it. I got exactly what I ordered, but it was obvious that it wasnt ready when I walked in.
The food is always pretty good but come on, how do you justify $2.89 for a hot dog?! If I had had more time on my lunch break I definitely would have gone somewhere else. And theyre just regular old hot dogs run-of-the-mill. Nothing special. Almost three bucks.. Let that sink in. Never again!
I had rated this as a three star but had to edit it, as in the last year they have gone downhill. The food is still the same but they never get an order right. It is not a question of will anything be wrong, but how serious the mistake will be. Items left out, completely wrong items... on top of that, they are almost always out if something. Recently they had no fountain drinks. Did they mention this at order, especially as we were gettting combo meals which come with a drink? Of course not. When it did come up, we could choose from tea or water. Seriously, they were substituting water which is FREE for an item we paid for. We left. You are better off driving to Medina and skipping this place.
Went through the drive through and asked for a chocolate blizzard with cherries. The employee sarcastically to me there was no such thing. When I told them my husband got me one Tuesday they said it wasnt there. I then asked for a plain chocolate blizzard. They charged me over $5.00 for a cup of chocolate milk.
I have loved DQ for a very long time. Normally every location has some differences, but the quality of food is typically the same. Unfortunately, for this location (Brunswick OH, Pearl Rd.) the quality of everything deserves less than one star. The staff is incompetent, in terms of customer service and the food they provide. Normally when I get fries from other locations, they are falling out of the container due to being overfilled, which of course I appreciate. At this location, they are always less than full. With Ice-cream, when I order a medium, I get less than a small. They apparently never learned how to fill up an ice-cream cone, since this is the only location where my ice-cream cone looks like something a three year old would try to do. The ice-cream is almost always starting to melt even before they hand it to me. If I ask for it to be dipped in chocolate, they hand me something that is half melted, falling off the cone, and extra small in size. One time I purchased a cake from this location, it was already starting to show signs of being frost bitten, either by being too old or by them not monitoring the freezer temperature properly. Several of my friends have reported the exact same experience here.Update:I heard this place was under new management, so I tried going back today (4/24/16), looks like nothing has changed, still the exact same joke of service and food as always. From now on, I will drive the extra 10 minutes to get the the DQ options located in Strongsville or Medina. This location is an absolute joke...I hate to say it, but dont waste your money going here, there are plenty of other ice-cream places nearby.Update 2:Contacted this location online to file a complaint. No one contacted me back.
This is the 4th time I try to get food from them and their fries are always undercooked, they taste literally raw. I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender basket today and I got fries that were so undercooked they still were cold. Now to top it off only 2 of my four piece were edible. The other “2” were 4 tiny dried out pieces of breading. I called them to talk to a manager and get a refund and the kid said he couldn’t find the manager and that we had drive back today or else they won’t do anything. Mind you it’s almost 9PM and they made us drive back TODAY and if we don’t make it before they close they won’t refund it. My husband had to stop in the middle of eating his dinner to drive back there with the basket and they wanted to remake it instead of refunding it to us. Honestly a serious place should have remade it and refunded us just for the hassle.Very disappointed with the unprofessional staff as well as the quality of the food.
Horrible. We just moved to the area and this location is the closest to our new home. We love blizzards and have never once had an issue with any other Dairy Queen weve gone to. We even preferred them to a Honey Hut which was close to us at our old house. Well, we have gone there a couple of times in the year weve lived here and let me tell you it is a nightmare every time. I understand that people have a bad day at work every now and then but this place is just one disaster after another. They dont even put enough candy in the blizzard. I even went as far to order extra stuff in it after a few tries and there still wasnt enough compared to other DQs Ive been to. The drive thru line is always horribly and unnecessarily long and when you finally reach the window the employees are just rude and you can tell they dont want to be there. I never write reviews like this and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but these place just appears to be horribly run from the top down. It looks like we will be a honey hut family for now on since they are once again close to us. Its a shame but I refuse to pay for poor products and service over and over again.
I’m super depressed they closed down. I loved getting ice cream after a fun day at the beach. I hope they re open soon. The place was always busy but couldn’t find the right people to go to work. I don’t understand it’s in a perfect location. How hard is it to run a Dairy Queen??? Super disappointed
This location does not know how to mix a blizzard.very frusterating that every time the is only toppings on the TOP and not mixed it....got a cookie dough blizzard and more than half might as well be a wendys frosty..need to better train these teensUPDATE 04/18/2019i guess it depends on whos working, ordered blizzards tonight and all 3 were fantastic!great job guys😊
Service was really bad they acked like it was inconvenient for my family to have stop there i will not be returning could have spent my money somewhere else. And they didnt even have what my kids wanted and didnt give me a chance to look over the menu and was pushing me to order. Need to work on customer service or close.!!!!
Overall decent. I mean who doesnt love DQ? This location is not my favorite though. It seems to always take way too long. No if there is 10, 2 or no people ahead of you and even if you are only buying something that is premade in the freezer. Spoons are often not given. Hate going through drive through because for some reason the employees working drive through are never as nice.
Amazing changes have been made in the last couple months. My family use to hate going to this DQ because they were slow, unfriendly and understaffed. Now this place is friendly, has great customer service and fast!! If you had a bad experience before, give it another chance because the new owners have done an amazing job at turning this store around.
Sent my boyfriend to get me a cupcake ice cream and I am unfortunately allergic to chocolate. The cupcake ice creams have chocolate it them, all I wanted was one with all vanilla ice cream in it. They told him they couldnt do that because the ice cream had to freeze. Now I understand ice cream has to freeze but an allergy to chocolate isnt uncommon! They should make some without chocolate! So I basically spent 3 dollars on a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some whip cream because thats all I could eat.
The last three visits to this location on Pearl Road in Brunswick have truly been awful. I kept returning thinking it was a one time thing but they have messed up my order completely every time. They forget items that are ordered, they give me things that I didnt order or they give me the wrong sizes. I also ordered an arctic rush and they didnt even put the Correct flavor or enough syrup in and it was just plain slush. While waiting in the drive through for over 15 minutes for someone to actually take my order they made me repeat myself at least five times and they were very rude. When I got to the window it was another five minutes before I was even acknowledged because there are children working and they clearly care more about laughing and screwing around than helping their customers and making sure they make orders correctly. Ive never been so dissatisfied with a Dairy Queen before in my life. My boyfriend has had the same awful experiences every time he has gone to this location also. I will be e-mailing corporate because I was charged for one size and given smaller sizes and missing items from my order. I truly hope that someone looks into this because its giving all of the other dairy queens a bad name. The fact that on google this Dairy Queen has 1 star out of 5 should be a huge red flag to management. I think that a team of circus animaIs could run this location better than whoever you have in charge of it now. Im questioning whether or not the person running this place is a high school graduate. Rain Man could operate a Dairy Queen better than this one is operated. I will never go to this Dairy Queen again because I will be going to Honey Hut where I am served the correct order, in a timely manner, by friendly employees.
This is the slowest ice cream place ever. The young girls who work there can care less. I have sent e-mails to corporate and have received zero response. My children never ask to go here for ice cream because the know what horrible service this place provides and they are 6 and 8 years old. This place is a joke. And this is coming from someone who gets ice cream multiple times per week. I have considered driving to Medina for DQ.
Its DQ! During baseball and football seasons in the evening, they always seem to be way understaffed. And not very organized we waited 40 minutes after paying for our order. It was also my daughters birthday, otherwise we wouldve asked for a refund and left. they claimed it was that long because they had to do the drive thru orders before anyone elses. Thats bad service, orders should be processed in the order they come in.Other than that, theres
2020. Yet another disappointing visit to the worlds worst DQ. After a long wait in line, I am informed they have no cones. No sign on the door saying anything about that. Would I instead like my cone in a cup? Oh sure, I will just take a sad overpriced bowl of ice cream instead. NOT. 2018 I would say this is the worst DQ I have been at. Portions are incredibly tiny. I got a small sundae at the DQ by my house in Lakewood that had more Ice Cream than the large I ordered in Brunswick. McDonalds down the street has better ice cream and isnt such a rip off.
This is the absolute worst dairy queen Ive ever been to. The drive thru wait was exceedingly long, and that was with only 2 cars in line. They wouldnt honor my bogo blizzard coupon, and then we finally got our stuff, 3 cones and 1 blizzard, and the serving sizes were ridiculously small. Almost just asked for our money back it was so bad! Will never go to this DQ again, would rather just drive into Strongsville or go to honeyhut
You would think they are making rockets in there with the way everyone runs around confused and taking forever. How hard is it to make a blizzard??? does it need to take 3 people and 15 minutes? the average worker there has an IQ of about 30 and there is always a long wait. I guess thats what happens when you hire a bunch of 15 year old girls to run the place. I ordered a cookie dough blizzard and they gave me a milkshake than they laughed like a couple of ditzes and took 10 minutes to make my blizzard WORNG AGAIN and finally when they got it right they gave me the wrong amount of change and forgot to give me a spoon. Its mind boggling how dumb the employees are there.
Waited in line to order for my family and the staff was very rude , as if it was an inconvienence we were there to spend our money . Which it turns out it must of been as a group of the staffs friends walked in. drinks and icecream look as if they were on the house and party was on except the other two families and mine were not invited . Not that that bothers me but just how the staff was so rude to us then moments later all smiles and chipper as thier friends appear . Honey hut or i will take the drive to the friendly folks in medina . Not to mention two of bruswicks finest from the fire dept. Seemed to have put these girls out of thier way for a simple request on a shake . Lost a customer
My husband and I go there quite frequently to get blizzards which are delicious but the last several times the toppings were only mixed on the very top part of the ice cream and the rest of it was just plain ice cream this seems to be happening all the time its not mixed all the way through turns out to just be a cup of ice cream with the toppings on the top.
Two times now I’ve gotten a blizzard that wasn’t completely stirred right, half of it is the blizzard I ask for the bottom is nothing but vanilla ice cream. It wouldn’t be a big deal but when I’m paying 5-6$ for something I expect it to be at least made correctly. Very disappointing
Staffed and run by children who care more about each others lunch they bring and boys theyre dating then working. Rude, slow and clueless. Ive been here 4 times thinking each time might be a fluke. No. Its just the most horribly run location Ive ever been to. Ill drive 5 miles out of my way to go to another (I live right next to this location ). Avoid this place at all cost.
When i used to live in Strongsville, i used to go to the DQs in Strongsville and North Royalton. Never had a problem with wait or taste. Every time i go here it is at least a 3-5 minute wait per car and the Moolattes are undermixed and lack the LATTE flavor. Today i got a small mocha moolatte, and half of the moolatte was white. Please never go here.
I was served cold fries i told them i wanted new fresh fries the reheat the same fries they gave me the first time in my chicken finger basket and i also got another medium frie and cheese burger and the fries that came with that were cold so i will probly never come back to this dairy queen cant believe they think there customers are that stupid to not relize whats going on very poor customer appreciation......

2022-07-18Stopped by this location to grab a shake after the Guardians game. I absolutely love their marshmallow milkshakes. They are delicious. This location was hoping at the time I stopped. But they had my shake done in no time. They were training a new girl and were polite and efficient as well.

2022-07-21Terrible service, rude staff, not worth your time --- go elsewhere! My mom ordered a salad and rotisserie chicken from here and she received measly portions. I would not even call what is in the picture a salad, it was more like lettuce for on top of burgers.

2022-03-19I was pretty disappointed with how my cake turned out. I asked for the first picture exactly, they said they’d have to smear the pink and blue icing and not do airbrush which I said was fine. I didn’t think it was a very elaborate thing I was asking for. There was nothing I could do after receiving the cake because I needed a cake and the party it was for was in 3 hours. Everyone raves about the decorator at this location and unfortunately they just did not live up to my expectations. I could have done what they did at home. But that’s my fault for having unrealistic expectations for a local DQ. Won’t happen again.. a plus for the amazing customer service from the kind girl working the register, but I won’t be going there for custom cakes again

2021-09-09While taking our order through the drive-thru was good.l, but the getting to the window asking two people to their face for my golden retriever for a small cone they just looked at me like I had three heads. Never had a issue with a dog cone before at other locations but this one was a little disappointing even for my dog who didnt get anything. Wont be going back there anytime soon.

2022-03-18Definitely won’t be going back any time soon. Got our cheeseburgers and fries right away but took them 20 minutes for our blizzards.. and then they finally got them and asked if we wanted them bag and I said sure and the guy put one lid on one and then set them on the counter and walked away doing absolutely nothing. I didn’t realize that they were on the counter behind the register so when we saw them we just reached back and grabbed them and walked out.

2020-07-08My review is a few months late but they did an amazing job with my sons birthday cake. I called and asked if they could do something with both sharks and dinosaurs (my sons 2 favorite things). We were blown away with how much time and thought went into this cake!

2022-06-06Always a fan of the chicken strips basket, the local kids usually working there are always friendly. Bring back the dennis the menace toys😌
