Dairy Queen in other cities:
I have about 20 years experience with this DQ, and I have very fond childhood memories when Myles handled the storefront. It was gritty and messy, but it was often so because of the sheer level of foot traffic that kept this place so lively because of the consumer loyalty that would often be generously rewarded every time youd choose to come here. Now its charm and generosity in portions and options has been replaced with a sterile facsimile of the modern corporate prefab layout, and a very whelming portion control to optimize product costs. Every element here feels highly transactional and almost exploitative of the trust that consumers used to have in this establishments unique brand. You might be able to continue to court the steady stream of new students that will never know the kind of place this used to be, but the local townsfolk will look at the neon sign and pass by with a disappointed sigh. The loss of a town icon. The only feedback I have is to reject the corporate line and try to reclaim the trust Myles operation attained by emulating Myles brand, not corporates brand.
They never answer their phone. Its always on silent or something, or unplugged from the wall. Makes it very difficult to place a carryout order, especially when youre in a hurry and just wanna grab a bite to eat on the run. I feel the need to edit this. The food here is really good, portion sizes are excellent. Staff is friendly. While yes the service can be a little slow, it is forgiven with their food quality and quantity. I dare one person to go in, order a burger and lg fry. You will not be disappointed.
Hi, my aunt went their recently and got a lunch special, and usually when we eat their we get a good sandwich and the fries are overflowing in the basket. But when she went the burger was bad and all of the fries she got could fit in her hand (btw she got a to-go order) I hope she gets a better service in the future. πππ even though the food is good most of the time.
While I understand the lady making my cone was new, the trainer needs to be watching what a trainee is doing. My cone was sloppy and she didnβt stir the cherry dip so all I got on my cone was the oily cherry film. Itβs not her fault that whoever was supposed to be training her wasnβt doing their job.
Apparently under new management. Tried to do less than half a star.....very disappoint in the quality and quantity of the Blizzard I purchased yesterday. Almost $4.00 for a small that wasnt even full. Lost me as a customer. Wont be back . Take me off your email list. Will definitely share information with friends and family. Now I know why you werent busy.NO NEED FOR THE STANDARD CANNED RESPONSE
Large servings. Especially the oversized blizzards and huge small fries (probably 2 large fries of most fast food places)New review. The serving sizes with the ice cream have decreased and the prices have increased. I cant speak to the size and price of the fries. Lately they are also having problems with getting orders correct. Overall the quality has declined hence the removal of a star.
WOW! What happened?? This was my all time favorite DQ in the country due to the quality and quantity of their blizzards. It was an older building but we came here every time we were in town and I told all my friends about it. Even posted pictures of their amazing blizzards. Today, the staff was less than thrilled to be there, it wasnβt very clean and the blizzards were βnormalβ sized but the fillings werenβt mixed thoroughly in. Very disappointed.
We visited after our daughters soccer game on the Campus of Bowling Green for the soccer classic..... The store was pretty busy and they knocked it out of the park...... the kitchen had our burgers and fries out fast and the kids loved the ice creams they choose! So stop in and enjoy because they had it covered. No photos my phone was low on battery our group was about 15 in total.
Miss the old owner. new updates were done very cheap. the tables are all slanted majorly. the food prices are the same but the serving sizes are much much smaller. gonna skip dq and go to a better local restaurant like sundae station that keeps the customers who have been coming around for years and years, in mind.
As a patron of the Mom and Pop Myles Dairy Queen since the early 80s that this place use to be. It is far from greatness it once was. I know Warren B. wants consistent streamline DQs but we stopped by just to see if they were hopefully breaking some of the corporate rules. They are not. We will be going to the other side of town to the Mom and Pop Sundae Station. Corporate world can just not figure out that customer service comes from the people and quality of the product you get.
I loved this place while attending BGSU in the early 2000s. Today, however, was awful. The place was disgustingly dirty. Not just messy, but dirty tables, booths, seats, bathrooms, floors, walls. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was no soap or toilet paper. We waited nearly 40 minutes for 3 mini blizzards. When we finally received them, we had to physically take off the metal mixer part and hand it back to the employee. One of the blizzards was half full. It was an overall terrible experience.
A small fry will easily feed 2 adults. Afraid to order a large. A small blizzard is as big as a medium at any other store. Friendly staff. Great prices. Fresh cooked food every time and enormous portions are just 2 reasons why we drive here from the Northtowne area of Toledo, instead of visiting our local DQ. Come hungry and prepare to be amazed.
The over-filled blizzards used to make it worth it. They have not done that the past 3 times I have been in there. They do not have the complete menu of a normal Dairy Queen. The restaurant is very outdated and was dirty on my last visit. Additionally, I ordered a Blizzard that they forgot to flip before handing it to me. I pointed this out and was gruffly told We are not corporate despite it being advertised on 6+ posters in the store for a free blizzard when not flipped. This location lost a customer today.
Went there today for my burger birthday meal and it was absolutely disgusting. It seems the new owners are using frozen burger patties. Fries were the same but that burger was YUCKY! The new owners have taken away that small town feel and now they just have nasty fast food.
We were passing through Bowling Green and stopped in DQ (because no road trip is complete without ice cream) and we were surprised to wait for 25 minutes on a rainy, Monday night. We were also surprised to see every single worker without a hair net (despite having very long hair). The blizzards we ordered were also inconsistently blended (some were blended well while others still had globs of vanilla ice cream without any toppings mixed into them).
It was the dirtiest restaurant Ive ever been in my life and its not even close. Floor was all gross looking like it hasnt been cleaned in weeks and the tables all had crumbs on them. I know if corporate would see this mess the owner would be stripped of his franchise. Youve been warned.
In the 43 years that Ive gone here the absolute worse service of ANYPLACE Ive ever been! I arrived today, 5/27, at about 4:45 pm. Place my order for a 3 pc chicken lunch meal. TO GOThe very first thing they made? The freaking strawberry sunday...to go...with no lid.Does anyone else see the stupidity of that?I also have osteostatic tremors. I was using my quad cane to help me stay stabilized. After they brought up my box of food. I was finally served after the 3 young men who were behind me got their meals. No bag. Nothing. So there I was trying to carry out my box of food, drink and a freaking melted sundae all while using my cane and having tremors. One would think, anyone with half a brain would have put it all in bag.Why in tbe world did Myles have to sell to someone who doesnt give a damn about Customer service? Obviously someone is just in it to make a buck and doesnt give a hoot about training their employees.I live half a block, if that, from DQ but will drive across town to get our ice cream from now on.WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
This dq is decent compared to all other dqs ive visited ... but i only gave it a 3 star cause its not the same as it was before when you got a medium blizzard and practically a small extra in the lid ... cause they were fanous for making then so big ... now they are about half as much extra then they were before .
Not the DQ it use to be. Unfortunately, this DQ has become the typical profit, not costomer, driven business. Gone are the days the DQ owned by Mr. Myles. The burgers have changed to something that resembles meat, as well as being nearly flavorless. The day has come when my wife and I cross DQ off the list of local options. Its been a good run, 14 years to be exact. Shame it has to be this way.
A must have if you go to Bowling Green OH. Think of the largest blizzard that youve ever had, and then double it, because thats what youll get here at Dairy Queen. The staff is always very friendly, but their turnover is so high that you often have a brand new person making your ice cream, which can lead to some unfortunate drippage.P.S. dont order a large fry unless you have 2 other people with you.
Use to love coming here as a kid and loved bringing my kids here until today the milkshakes were fine but i wont eat the food again the fries were not fully cooked and the hot dogs were the same it looked like they had just thrown them in the microwave..... Very dissappointed
They have changed everything and now it is an entirely unfriendly place to be. All of their booths, save 4, have been removed. I will forever treasure the Old Dairy Queen in my heart, but I dont know if I can return to the travesty that is the Bowling Green Dairy Quenn of today.
Dont go here if you are short o time. Only one person out front. And even when there were between 10-12 customers waiting .....the other employee was in the back talking on her cell phone for over 30min. She never did come out front to help.....took quite a while for the single employee out front to get orders filled.
Came here today..employees were not pleasant...my grandsons banana split was made with a bottle of cleaning solution beside it..requested a new one..ice cream was melted and only replaced banana...apparently whip cream and nuts do not come on a split..very disappointed...its going to be awhile before we come back!

2022-05-11Ordered 3 chili dogs with added cheese. Payed extra for the cheese - 10 individual shreds of cheese! Almost looked like they counted them out. Cheese is an added item not a condiment that you cant taste. Also asked for onion one of them (left out!). Order took too long and then could not find anyone to help. My Blizzard was melting by the time the food came ( had to eat it before my meal). We were one of only two tables occupied - young man that brought food out was nowhere to be found. Line to long to wait again. Also, while using pop dispenser had to listen to girl behind counter having conversation with apparent coworker across from counter speaking loudly about how they arent paid enough and have to fake smiles at their customers.I get that its a tall order for a new owner to keep up to the previous owner. We all know they were very generous - Lets try just a little harder to get the basics.

2022-05-11I will never buy a chili dog from this store again. Waited almost 15 min for simple chili dog. Was charged 40 cent for cheese and god only knows how much for onionThey were preparing other meal over me. Know need to treat people this was. Asked twice where my chili dog was and the girl ended up going back and making it. She even microwaved the chili sauce. Grrrrr

2022-05-27This location is awful. No special items (I get it, not all locations will), the food we did order was missing a burger from one meal and fries from the other. Took a good 25 minutes to get the food which was only made worse when you walk to the bathroom and see the back of house on their phones leaning against the counter. When the food finally did come the fries were cold and half cooked, a shredded chicken sandwich and hot dog looked worse than the worst episodes of kitchen nightmares. If you want ice cream, go to Erics down the street. If you want food go to tropical smoothie across the lot or guahilios next door.

2022-03-19Not bad. Standard DQ meal. Took too long for three meals and was missing a burger. But whatever. Probably due to Covid, right?

2022-05-09Terrible service and extremely unprofessional. The manager (young boy) stood in front of me and lied moments ago about the reason our simple food order took over 30 minutes. No apology. Also, one of the girls who worked there was busy carving into a wooden pillar along with others goofing off... I got attitude when after 30+ minutes I asked for reimbursement

2021-07-10It is definitely not fast service. Waited about 35 minutes for our meals ....and no one was dining in but my grandson and I. The gentleman did offer us a free dessert for our wait. I give them 4 stars, they are very polite and make a wrong a right.

2021-04-18This establishment overcharged me on April 1st. I stopped in the next day to notify them the money has not credited my account. I was then told it could take 3 to 5 days. As of today 17 days later, still waiting on the money. Stopped in AGAIN today and the manager was called and came to the business and noticed the transaction was never voided and it should be in my account in 3 to 5 days! After I expressed how upset I was since I have waisted my time and gas money since I dont live in town, I was told how sorry they were and if I dont receive my money I can call them! Great way to take care of your Customers!
