Even with long lines and large orders they still serve with a smile! We need more relaxed calm people!
Went on Dec 28th, 2021 to get over price peanut busters with gift card I got..they are our faves but as we started eating we noticed the thin lines of chocolate with few nuts. And the nuts were not the samesmall ones with little skins they were hard dry roasted ones like you get out if can at a dollar store. They ended uo.hurting my teeth. . Wont be getting anymore oh hete.
Went for a banana milkshake only and they charged me for the car behind me which was $24 and I still never got my money back this was about 2 weeks ago.

The staff is great and so helpful. Chrystal went way above and beyond to create a beautiful cake for a special occasion. Very impressive.
Phone doesn’t work or they just don’t answer..If they mess up your order you have to wait in line for another 20 minutes before they can correct it.
I drove in for an ice cream cone at 8:59 pm. I know it was a bit late as they close at 9p. There were 3 cars ahead of me. When I got to the order box at 9:08 The guy said no more orders. I said really? He said the car in front of you was the last for the night. He could have asked what I wanted and served me a cone. I understand they wouldnt want to prepare a hot meal at that time... there were no cars behind me. I wont go back.
Best food in the whole Lorain County. 5/5 stars for great service, high quality food, and a clean restaurant. Dairy Queen is highly recommended for anyone who happens to pass through the area. Blizzards are nice and cheap, and the Honey BBQ Chicken Strips are AMAZING with ranch. Cheeseburgers are OK, and the fries are pretty nice. Like stated before, highly recommended to anyone passing through the area.

This was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at this place! I use to work here and it was a good place to go and the orders were made properly and timely. After ordering the manager went out to the lobby to talk to her friends instead of helping her crew with the rush. Then she walks back and says How can I help out. This was horrible 30+ minutes for ice unbelievable
This is the go to spot after every celebratory sporting event when you live in Sheffield Village or Sheffield Lake.. the sixth grade girls from St. Thomas Catholic CYO basketball were the league champions again this year although because of Covid there was no play off games or trophy.. However Thank God Dairy Queen Saved the Day with..Flurries & Sundaes & Shakes Oh My😜. Thanks Dairy Queen for good service & great value & just for being open.. Inside & out! thumbs up guys!

Unfortunately this Dairy Queen needs to step into the current times. They use a SLOW dial-up credit card system that lets them only run 1 credit card transaction at a time (for combined drive thru and inside customers) They never have enough staff working during the busy summer/baseball season months so the lines and wait time are extremely long. They also just stopped selling their smoothies which was always a great alternative when one didnt want ice cream. Other Dairy Queens still sell smoothies. Their food portions have also gotten smaller and their prices to begin with are on the high side anyways.This is a great local ice cream and dining establishment that our local residents love to frequent and support. However because of these drawbacks, they are making it less desirable than some other alternatives we have within a 5-10 minute drive.
Great experience. The food is cooked as you order and always tastes great. My sons favorite place to go for dinner. So much more than just ice cream. The staff is very friendly and always carrys on conversations with my very talkative 7 year old. If I could give 10 stars I would.

If any fastfood employees deserve 15 dollars a hour, its definently this staff. They are fast, and literally never mess my order up.
People are very friendly but the food was very cold and the fries were old. I mean real old and cold. they had to make it, why not heat it. It is all young kids working but they are old enough to know. All the tables were dirty. Finally someone came out to clean them and all she did was spot clean. Didnt even wipe the whole table. I will definitely NOT BE BACK TO THIS DQ. Pay good money for food that sucks.
Food was cold, credit card machine was broken. After we told the lady in the drive thru wed just pay cash, it took 20 minutes for her to return my card even after she had taken the cash.

Wish I could give 0 stars because every experience I have had here has been awful. This is vlny far the worst dairy queen I have EVER been to. The employees are rude and the ice cream is never made right. I asked for a chocolate ice cream Sunday with peanut butter and they gave me vanilla instead when I asked them to remake it they put way too much ice cream to where it was literally in both sides.of the cup and I could open it without a bowl underneath and the Sunday they had originally made was not like that...its just childish , everytime you get a blizzard its watery. I wont be a returning customer .

Food is okay. 6 piece chicken strips basket only comes with one sauce, will charge you for extra ones. Also a little expensive for the quality, there are better options for just about everything in town.

Service is slow, drive through line takes long time for such little amount of cars. The staff doesn’t seem to care about the fact they forgot our drink and actually told us to just go through the drive thru line to buy another. I would not recommend.

LOVE Dairy Queen!! If your order is made wrong, they will definitely make things right with you!! Ive witnessed this with other customers whose orders were wrong. Theres only one girl there whos rude and never really gets an order right. Will talk to management about her at some point.
Very disappointed. Long wait for fresh hot fries but cold chicken tenders. Also they do not participate in the advertised specials on tv ($4.99 chicken strip basket) and they charge for BBQ sauce??? Avoid this DQ!!! Love the location in North Olmsted tho!! Never had a problem there!!

To the person making burger at 11:47 a.m.! If you accidentally put mustard on a bun and wipe it off, putting extreme amount of ketchup on top and serving it, it will not make the mustard taste go away, just get a new bun! Lol. Taste buds are more sensitive than you might of interpreted. Good burger though!

Just left to get an ice cream and a Cake for Valentines day.Server was very nice and went to get me a box lid to carry everything. The very short elderly woman who was working with her told her I could not have the lid. So when my server was done, I asked for a bag. The elderly woman said they didnt have any. Seriously? What gives.
No doubt the blizzards were great but highly overpriced for the size that we had received. The large size looked more like a medium.
My family and I are regular customers at this establishment. Every time we eat there we are greeted with excellent customer service and great food. Sometimes the wait is a little longer than other fast food restaurants, but Id rather wait a little bit longer if that means I am getting quality food and ice cream.
Interior of the DQ was very messy/unclean and it was hotter than the sahara desert inside of an ICE CREAM SHOP. Both blizzards we ordered had the consistency of of a warm milkshake (if they had been flipped when given to us, the whole thing would have been on the counter). Paid for extra reeses cups in one of the blizzards but it didnt have ANY. Other blizzard was also missing ingredients (the cookie dough pieces). We waited at least 15 minutes for our subpar ice cream. Not at ALL likely to return to this establishment. This restaurant is a serious black mark on the good name of DQ.
Wow. Terrible experience. I ordered a combo with a blizzard. I received the combo, the blizzard, and my drink as if each was a separate order..? I didnt mind the 15 minute wait for the food, as they were pretty busy. But then get home and look at the fish sandwich... The lettuce was extremely old, reminded me of tissue paper. The fish was gross. The one bite I took tasted like old cheese, and smelled like garbage. With so many places to eat in the area, save yourself the trouble.
Stopped here 2 days in a row and used the restroom both times. Someone on the first day had (excuse me) pooped on the floor. The next day that spot was still there. Makes you wonder what else they dont clean. Wont be going back there. Yuck!
Went to Avon Lake DQ The line was at least 10 cars deep and took over a 1/2 hour to finally order and get our food. It was cold, burger was stale... disappointed
The chicken fingers were a little small. More like nugget size. The restaurant could use a good wipe down. But the ice cream was delicious as always
Super slow establishment. Visited on a weeknight and waited for over 15 min before even being acknowledged which was only prompted by speaking up to ask if there was anyone who could help. Team members were standing with their backs to the counter holding empty bowls just staring at blank screens. When asked if anyone could help the response was a blank stare and a muttered apology. Guess what still no service... Left went to a competitor and was greeted and served in less than 2 minutes. I will say DQ stands by their motto in this place!
Blizzard blended unevenly, a new flavor I didnt like. But they do a good job here. Have had food here too plus , always good.
The last 2 times that we have gone to use our BOGO free coupons, they havent gotten any blizzards right...out of 8! I wont come here again!Update: I have since gotten gift certificates that have made up for all of the blizzards that were wrong! Also, Im happy to report that none have been wrong since!
I went here to get a Thanksgiving cake and all the cakes were anchors and old Halloween cakes. There was one with a basketball on it I asked the girl if she could turn it in to a turkey ( at least that would have been funny) she said no she cant put any designs on them just write on them. She did find a blank one in the back that she wrote Happy Thanksgiving on in Brown gel. Needless to say it was ugly.
Ist time ever, that is since the DQ opened in Avon Lake, OH that I can say my banana split was ROTTEN! The banana was soft an old, the strawberries were slimy and instead of pineapple topping, there were pineappe chunks that were bitter. Needless to say no more DQ visits the rest of the summer.Sorry, but you only can mess up once with my ice cream. I should have taken a photo, instead threw it away.

Its ok for a quick ice cream but it needs renovating a proper working A.C.. its like they dont want you to come inside. The ice cream is not the best in the area but it is the fastest serving.

This is the worst Dairy Queen ever! Ordered three cheese cake blizzards with extra cheese cake..get home no cheese cake!!! Came back for a replacement order and literally had only three little pieces of cheese cake..is that what they call extra??! Never will go there again!
Went there to get a cake for my daughters birthday while they were writing on the cake I saw them standing over it with no mask and touching the top without gloves when confronted the girl lied and said Oh I just wash my hands which was a lie also I was wearing my mask only when she was confronted she fessed up and said sorry

Staff can be alittle rough sometimes. Order is usually correct. Alittle slow so the wait is a bit long, maybe they need more staff.

They gave me the wrong blizzard and they didnt put the ranch in with the tenders after they asked did we want ranch.
Order is always correct but just takes forever most of the time. Seems like one person is making everything while the other employees make plans for their weekend.
I love dairy queen they have 1 dollar mistakes they in freezer u just tell cashier u want a mistake and they only a dollar, but u cant tell them what flavor u want, they pick for u but believe me they are very good, i also recommend chicken strip basket u get a side of country grave and also has buttered texas toast very good

2022-05-23Went for a special treat for me and the family. The line in the drive thru was super long all the way to the street so I parked and went Inside to order. It was also hectic Inside but the wait wasnt to long. The employees were nice and working their butts off to service everyone in a timely manner. There was a few mistakes but they did great correcting them through all the chaos , it was nice to see them so busy and it back to how it was pre pandemic. The dining room was open for eating In and also the patio if you chose to eat outside. I give them a lot of credit especially any business now a days with everything going on. Good experience all around.

2022-05-15This location is under new ownership with all new staff apparently. Consider giving this location a couple months for the existing crew to learn what they are doing otherwise expect long lines and annoyed attitudes. As advice to the owners, consider training your crew, and before you respond we do!, we had one kid ask us how to put whip cream on our blizzard and had to teach another how to read the order screen to get our plain dish of chocolate ice cream. My point is that your training isnt sufficient and you should try again.

2022-03-03I got a chicken tender basket combo on my lunch break was very excited about the toast that comes with it, I have been craving it so I finally got to dairy queen and I get my food back to the office only to find they didnt give me the toast in my basket . Not a huge deal but it really made me bummed since I was looking forward to it and paid more for that basket versus the other ones . There was also a black hair on my spoon in my bag with the blizzard ,it happens I guess but still Gross .

2019-03-31So not what I was hoping for.So I went to try the brand new orange creamsicle dipped cone, and the dip was so paper thin ( because it was overheated) that you could barely taste it. Try double dipping them or turning your heat down a bit Dairy Queen Avon Lake.The cherry is a lot thicker.Not sure if I will be getting that again.Here for a limited time... Yeah with limited coverage! 😋P.S. Sundaes served with spoons.... What?????

2019-04-12What was my sister she wanted to try the orange dipped vanilla cone which people are calling the orange creamsicle. They only dip it one time and the coating was so warm that it was very thin. You could barely taste the orange flavor at all I really dont know what all the hype is about. They need to double dip those cones. Are temp theyre topping better.
