Culvers in other cities:
Went here after a recommendation posted to ND app, and I agree with the poster that the service here is phenomenal. I was greeted with a smile, questions were answered, and they were patient when I struggled to decide on my order. The food is made to order, so if you are expecting typical fast food, dont come here in a rush! I ordered the 3pc cod fish and chips (walleye is currently offered as special during Lent), and I wasnt disappointed! The batter was crispy, the fillet thick and flakey, and was perfectly complimented with the Cole slaw. I could barely finish 2 fillets, so the portions are generous, and I had a fish, and 1/2 fries leftover. I will be back for frozen custard!
Ive eaten in Culvers in 6 states and always get the Butter Burger with bacon and cheese, finishing with a hot fudge Sunday. Today I saw they had pork loin on the menu, it was a battered tenderloin. I tried it. Although it was served hot and cooked correctly, the taste was a typical frozen battered tenderloin, kinda bland tasting. Just by adding ketchup, lettuce, tomato and salt the flavor is greatly enhanced. Id order one again - if they are out of Butter Burgers- ha.
Ok this is not about the food or the service, its about the experience. I was with my brother and special need nephew ordering from drive through. We were told to pull over and wait for out food which we did. While we were waiting 4 teenagers sitting inside started recording us and making fun of us, when we saw them they started acting like idiots and started making fun of my nephew. When a culver employee brought us the food i told him about it and he saw them recording us. He smiled and did nothing about.
This restaurant does not treat its employees well. This establishments owner is cold and the opposite of what a good boss/leader should be. Anyone working here or is considering working here should really reconsider there options. The owner has and will publicly humiliate you, pay you well below what others pay. Around 9-10$ Staring pay with supposed “3 month reviews” which happen around a year instead. You will get paid unbelievably low money compared to other restaurants and have little to no flexibility in the schedule. I’m saying this as a warning to other young kids like me who chose this as my first job. Do NOT work here.
First time Ive ever been here. Its like a chicfila if it was a burger joint.Im giving 5 stars because the staff greeted everyone, bathrooms looked like you could eat in there, great burgers for being fast food, and the icecream mixers were better than any DQ blizzard.Im not one for fast food but Id visit the drive thru here just for the ice cream. You can choose two mixers...I recommend peanut butter and Oreo which tastes like nutter butters.
After a long day of chugging booze, waterslides and lazy rivers we thought wed get a tasty snack afterwards. It was just ok. Mushroom and swiss didnt have much flavor and the chili cheese fries were gross. Greasy but not tasty. Who puts celery in their chili?? 🤢 No heckin way - this isnt 1955. Next time were going to Taco Bell up the street.
I love Culver’s! The service is fast, the workers are friendly, and everything is delicious. I eat Culver’s a lot, and it is defined above fast food. The custard is delicious and I would live off it if I could! Everything is still hot by the time you get it, and it’s always amazing. Have a nice day! 😊
This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which he enjoyed with onion rings. I had the 2 piece chicken tenders. The tenders were on the salty side, but the chicken was juicy and there was no grizzle, which was very much appreciated! The cost is more than your regular fast food, but for the quality, its worth it. Well be back.
The food was good. Hot and fresh. My family enjoyed the cod fillet sandwich, Reuben, chicken strips, chili cheese fries, and onion rings. All were pretty good. The seating area was clean (except for the flies but that happens sometimes) and the staff were very friendly. The custard was AMAZING!
The customer service was top notch. At 9pm on a saturday they had tons of people working and were making sure that food was getting brought out asap. The butter burger had a nice sear on it, the deluxe was great with all the fixings, and the milkshake was rich and creamy. Next time we go we will try some of the sides!
Always a wonderful experience. This most recent stood out. I expect to wait for a meal from Culvers (happily for freshly made) and today I dont feel as if I waited any more than usual. The gentleman serving To Go orders went the extra mile and added complimentary sides and apologized for the wait! The food is great but the customer service is top notch..Road fries certainly made my day! Keep it up!
We had a bit of a mishap with our orders and staff at first and we were left unhappy from our experience there but the GM Dan corrected all of the mistakes, was extremely caring and nice, and turned the experience around for us and even gave us a coupon for our next trip there.
The Cheesebugers were really good. I had a Spicy Chicken sandwich the visit prior and it was yummy. Better then most other fast food spicy chickens. Love the crinkle cut fries. Maybe just a tad bit more salt. Their Root Beer is on the higher scale of goodness. Sweet Tea definitely not. For the price you pay its worth it. Also we was their on a Monday night, they were closing early so the company could have a party for all the employees that have worked through the covid pandemic. Which is great.
My family and I dined out on the patio! First time here and it was an Awesome experience!! The older gentleman Sam P. who worked the front counter is a jewel to this Company! He literally walked from behind the counter and explained the menu to us and was so extremely kind!!! His customer service skills need acknowledged!!! Great times 💛
This was our first time eating at Culvers. Right away I noticed how clean the place was. Plus they were well staffed and every worker was wearing gloves and masks. Wow... I was impressed! The manager even came out to our table and welcomed us and he treated us to a cup of frozen custard because he heard this was our first visit. The frozen custard was cashew carmel... omg so yummy! The manager was such a nice guy! He went over and beyond =) Omg... the food was so delicious!! Their diet root beer didnt taste diet.. the best Ive ever had! Amazing cod fish, hamburgers and I love their crinkled fries. We felt so at home. We found our new favorite restaurant!! We will be back!
My first time to Culvers, & it was an enjoyable experience. Food was good, & loved the custard! The employees were friendly, & kept the dining room impeccable. As soon as someone left, they were there to spray & wipe everything down. Cant speak to any other locations, but this one is top notch
Great food, fast, friendly service. I went through the drive thru for my family of 4. I ordered the Carver combo, cheese curds, two kids cheeseburger meals, the cashew salad and a bowl of chili. Everything was delicious and the portions were larger than most fast food restaurants. We will be back!
Find me a better cheeseburger for the money. Thats basically the plot of The Green Knight, because its an impossible task that sets you on a road of misadventure that will have you questioning your self-worth even as you revel in the bad decisions youre making. But seriously, Culvers is the best burger for the money. Crushes Steak and Shake, Five Guys, In and Out, etc.
This place is okay compared to other Culvers where I have experienced consistent excellence. Twice they forgot an item listed on the receipt ( which they read when giving my food) Small things like fries or part of the kids meal but no one wants to drive back to get them. I called the second time because its annoying. They offered me a free custard. Well I paid for missing food so a custard is not the best remedy.
First time trying it, was taken care of by the 2nd assistant manager, who was very patient and attentive as we tried our best with the menu. We took our order to go and nearly 15 mins later, back at our hotel we still had warm fries, and tasty burgers. Would definitely have it again.
The time it took to recieve my order was much less than I thought, maybe 2 minutes maximum. The only complaint I have is when I went back up to order a concrete mixer, the lady didnt give me my number and I waited for 5 minutes until someone asked me what I was waiting for and gave me it. All in all, one of the best Culvers I have been to.
A Leaderless Bungling staff Struggles to keepeo up serving the incorrect meal to the incorrect person while a Clueless Owner Hides in the Office Avoiding Any Meaningful Service to the people that pay for their Living! Absolutely Awful!!! $35.00 for an order delivered and opened by the wrong person, back inside the store with me now inside watching my food being delivered to my empty car while the staff says it’s coming up- Now the Fun!!! I’m handed a 30 minute old Cod dinner & 2 wilted salads while my concrete mixer is melting in my cup holder and All the Owner does is Look at me and ask what’s the Problem?! Absolutely Pathetic 👎👎👎👎👎👎
I had a few coupons, so we went out for some frozen custard. We did not have a good experience. The custard had this weird wax-like after texture. It would smear on the roof of my mouth. It was putting this weird texture on the spoon. I thought maybe it was the carmel, but my entire family noticed it. I thought it perhaps is just normal, since I dont eat frozen custard very often. I will not go back, its not something I want to experience again.
We went here as a group and had a positive experience. The butter burgers were good (I had a bacon burger per usual), but they are quite greasy, which is important to note for some people. There are also various ice cream options, many looked good, but I quite enjoyed my caramel-Reeses mixed caramel explosion. I would definitely recommend it.Overall, good place that we all enjoyed, and the employees were friendly.
I am giving 3 stars because the food was amazing and arrived quickly. The young lady that took our order was very energetic and had a wonderful attitude. Now for the bad part of this experience. The entire reason we went there was because my son and I had particular flavors we wanted to try. You know like some of those posted on your menu online! When we attempted to order we were told we have vanilla, chocolate, and the flavor of the day. My son wanted mint chip and was told he could try a mixer, its only a little different and when I asked if they could make the raspberry that I wanted I was told not today. If you are going to continue only providing 3 possible flavor options I would suggest not advertising a large variety on your website! Additionally todays flavor of the day was actually tomorrows flavor.
Ok, well I have been a customer of Culver’s since they came to Columbus. Discovered them when in Chicago area years ago. The Powell location is USUALLY very well organized and efficient but tonight it was a complete and utter cluster_____. Spent $27.45 the burgers were ALL wrong (4) of them and the milkshake was basically chocolate milk. Several employees doing absolutely nothing. The one kid with his bangs draped over eye literally just walked around and acted “busy”. Very disappointed guess I need to find other places, tonight was a waste of time and money.
I give Culvers 5 stars because its basically a fast food place, but the food you get is what it looks like in the adverts. And it tastes good. Price is right.Ive only ever eaten inside at Culvers, there is always a huge line at the drive thru. Says a lot about the place.Crinkle fries cooked to perfection
The Burgers were really good, as well as the chicken sandwiches. The ice cream and custard is really nice too. The fries are a bit lacking, pretty much on par with what you would get frozen at a grocery store. However they still were hot and tasted great. This place needs more attention!
My wife and I had a very nice dinner here at Culver’s in Powell tonight. Service was excellent. The sandwiches & fries were hot & fresh. The wait was very reasonable. The restaurant appeared very clean and uncluttered. My only disappointment is we haven’t tried them sooner. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much to the Culver’s Staff for a very good dining experience.
Butter burger was good. It wasnt the best burger in town but it is worth trying. I really enjoyed the onion rings. Nice and crisp on the outside. I would recommend these. I also thought the cheese curds were very good. Raspberry custard was just ok. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. The place is very casual.
Four stars because food is usually great but service is generally questionable but not terrible. We love going in the summer when they have a dairy free ice cream option but don’t go as much when they don’t since we have a dairy allergy in the family.Recommend the butter burger and if you are there the right time of year the seasonal pumpkin Carmel shake is very delicious.
Service and consistencyThe experience. Ive never gone to a Culvers and not receive great customer service! Staff is always friendly, and patient when I want to try something new and cant decide. Its obvious that training is taken seriously. The food. I do like trying new things at Culvers because the food hasnt let me down yet. Things that I usually wouldnt try end up being something I would eat again. Ingredients are fresh, and you will taste that difference. They even have gluten free options! (Insert happy dance).
We love Culvers. Delicious burgers and fries and frozen custard ice cream. Great value for the money! Family friendly and good for any age really. If youre hungry for a burger skip fast food and go here. You wont be sorry. And always always get the ice cream. Save room I mean. 😁 Enjoy!
Since we lost Smashburger from down the road we had to find a new burger joint. We have Culvers. Good, quick burgers, good fries. They even have decent chili fries and sweet potato fries. They offer a fairly decent reuben sandwich. Their concrete shakes are pretty good too! The fish filet looks like it comes from box but, its okay. The restaurant is kept clean but it would be nice to see updated some. My family and I was shocked to see a couple in front of us with a large black dog. In we which we asked if it was a Service animal. The guy says no, okay, so.Now, my roommate works for the State of Ohio and he explains that it is against State Law and Regulations to have an animal in a restaurant that is not a Service animal. They didnt care and neither did the Staff. They said he ordered to go, in which he did not. They sat down ate and also fed and watered the dog while in the dining area. Now , I was a dog owner. My chocolate lab passed away 2 years ago. I would never take.my 80 lb lab into a restaurant. We contacted the Health department. I wont be coming back any time.soon.
I am 45 years old and just had Culvers for the first time today. My mind is blown! How did I make it this far with no one telling me how good this place is?! I honestly wonder if that might be the best burger Ive ever had! and Ive eaten at lots of fancy restaurants and gotten burgers from expensive places that are known for their burgers. Dear Culvers management: please build one in Grove City so I dont go broke driving to Powell to eat!
If youve never been to a Culvers (and youre not a vegan), youre missing out. Their burgers are among the best that youre ever going to find in a chain restaurant--Id put them up there with Five Guys and In-n-Out. Their other menu offerings and sides are very good, too, but its their burgers that are simply outstandingly delicious. And then youve got their ice cream--excuse me, frozen custard. Its delicious and creamy and honestly better than Graeters. Of course, its only chocolate and vanilla, with toppings mixed in if you want, but its excellent. If youve been to Culvers before, this one is typical. Employees are competent and friendly.
Nice place to stop after a long day at zoombezi bay. The service was great, the dining room was nice and really clean, there was a big variety of menu items but I was hoping for more juicy buttery flavor in the butter burger but it wasnt there. Still pretty good though
I had never been to a Culvers until last year, but since visiting it is definitely one of my favorite fast food places. Its basically a cheaper five guys with amazing frozen custard desserts. If you like good, fresh cheeseburgers and crinkle fries, you have to try this place!
Food at Culver’s is always a treat. This was our first time at this location though. We were very disappointed by how dirty the whole store was. Restrooms were a mess. Many formerly used tables were left in a mess. Floors were full of spills and paper trash. And it wasn’t even busy, so there really was no excuse. Really not a good reflection on a brand we’ve come to appreciate. We hope the management can get this turned around soon.
As someone who normally loves a good butter burger and custard, I was incredibly disappointed when my friend found a fly in the middle of their custard. We were home by this time, so I called the customer service line, to give a cleanliness report. I waited the usual 48 hours, but did not receive a response. It has now been 8 months and I was never contacted. I recognize that despite efforts toward cleanliness, sometimes these things cannot be helped. However the lack of response is the reason for my low rated review. If requested another review can be conducted after a minimum of 60 days from this posting.Date of service: January 2020
Excellent food! Stopped here on a whim on the way home from a softball tournament and was so glad we did! The burger buns were a little different that every day ordinary buns, but in a good way! The kids loved their burgers! I had a breaded chicken tender meal. The breading was delicious! Crispy, fresh, different type of seasonings that you normally get elsewhere. Hubbys onion rings were mamouth and crispy without as much grease and oil. Lots of fries with the meals. Lots of ice cream flavors. It seemed like it was part somewhat fast food and part ice cream stand. I keep wishing we didnt have to drive over an hour to get to one. The only problem we had was that it was a little dirty like they had just had a big rush and hadnt cleaned up after it yet. The customers that you could tell visit there frequently were a bit annoying. Seemed to act like they lived there or were part owners. Somewhat obnoxious and loud, border line rude to others sitting in the dining room. Would definitely visit there again, though.
This is one of my families favorite places to stop when were in the area. Culvers is a little out of the way, so we usually stop after going to the zoo or we have to make a special trip. They make an excellent burger and they have a great selection of frozen treats. I also really enjoy their regular and diet root beers that have at the self serve fountain. The place is usually clean and theyre usually busy, but they give you a number and they bring the food to your table. Its a nice change of pace from the typical fast food restaurant.
Generally love the cement chillers, but have received custard with less than desirable consistency twice in past month. Disappointed that drive thru orders never provide napkins without asking for them. Overall, more quality control attention would be a positive change.
Food is great. Not a fan of having to wait in a line right AT the drive through as it hinders traffic. Employees should not allow customers to pull up to wait for their order, and leave their vehicle for ANY reason (blocking everyone else) !!! That happened to me today. They need to have customers either pull ahead further or park in a different area.
There was a discrepancy between what was available according to the website and what was actually available in the store; initially it was frustrating.Overall it was good. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. A bit pricey for food, as a basket runs around $9. A small blizzard type ice cream with two toppings was almost $4 (bigger and cheaper than DQ!).Their fountain rootbeer was good, it would be yummy with a scoop of vanilla custard... Ive been wondering where to get a root beer float around here and well... Looks like its next on the list.I love custard and this place was great. Love it.
The grilled cheese is sooooo good. I have no idea what cheese they use but i wish they would sell it to people. The cheese curds are also AMAZING. The breading is cooked just right and they somehow make the cheese sooooooooooo good. The custard is very good too and it is fresh. The program that they have is good because if you get like 30 kids meals you get a free sports ball so i have a culvers football, soccer ball, kickball, and basketball. I love CULVERS
They are usually good and rarely do they screw up... but I did have to take 1 star away since they totally butchered a concrete mixer(put almost nothing in while charging for 4 extra items) and the MOD refused to address the issue and said we are welcome to purchase another and theyll make it better this time...But like I said, this seems like a fluke and I would still.recommend this Culvers for a.quick bite or dessert.
Went in this afternoon since I was in the area and hadnt been in for a while. The timing wasnt all that great with everyone in the area doing TP and bleach runs on the surrounding stores. Culvers was great. Despite the obvious tensions in the stores, the staff at the restaurant was very at ease. We decided to dine in since It was a welcome change of pace. The Bacon Butter Burger was hot and juicy, and the fries were golden. Similarly, the lobby was nice and tidy. What made this dining experience memorable was the details that any other time would go unnoticed... There was plenty of soap in the bathrooms no touch dispensers, to use with the touch free faucets. The tables were spotless with the salt and pepper shakers conspicuously absent. The person who brought out meals out was friendly and casual, but wearing nitrile gloves. I really enjoyed going into Culvers for a sit down meal, particularly reassured that there are businesses that care for both their employees and customers every day. Its just about impossible to live in isolation in todays society. So dont... Save the handshake for another day, but dont hesitate to stop for a shake or burger. Share a friendly smile or gesture, contagions that will outlast any bug. Thanks for the great meal Culvers, God bless America, well all be here together again tomorrow.
First time visiting the location. All the advertisements for some reason led me to believe this was a traditional restaurant (where you sit, order from a server, eat, and pay), not the fast-food hybrid that it is. You order, pay, and someone will deliver the food to your table. They provide you a number placard to place on your table to facilitate this process. Its a simple but smart system, and avoids the use of those buzzers a lot of places use now. With that said, they have some decent burgers. I had the single Wisconsin Swiss melt with cheese curds, and my wife had the single Mushroom and Swiss Butterburger with Onion Rings. We both agreed that the sandwiches were good, but not overly exceptional. Pretty much standard burgers that might be a touch better than fast-food. The cheese curds and onion rings were very good however. The curds were pretty big, gooey, and not overly oily. The onion rings were crisp and flavorful, and not overdone like some places.Unfortunately, with all the food we did not have a chance to try the milkshakes. We reserve to try that at a later time.Service was very friendly, and very fast. We waited no more than five minutes for our food to be ready.Well eat here again when we are on this side of the city. We wish there was a location within the I270 outerbelt though...
Burgers were delicious and the sides were also wonderful. The fries were nice golden brown crispy crinkle cut witw a fluffy inside and the cheese curds were perfect. Culvers own root beer was al st o very nice. My 6 y rd old asked if we could come back for his birthday dinner...so he gave it 5 stars too.
The food is generally ok, staff is nice. I got the Stuffed Pepper soup today and it was awful. Thick as pudding, to salty, clearly over heated and old. I took it back and got a Cole slaw. They were polite about the exchange but didnt offer to refund the dollar difference in price.
Ive always thought of Culvers as a slight step up from typical fast food. I love their burgers, but really its the fries that makes it for me! I believe they use peanut oil, and it really makes all the difference. Although Im not a huge fan of their milkshakes (so thick they border on gluey in my opinion), theyre overall worth the very slight wait you may run into. Ive only ever waited about 5-7 minutes there.
Ive never written an online review before, but my experience was so awful, I had to. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food (no exaggeration). We watched from our table as to-Go orders were filled ahead of our food. After 37 minutes a rude lady brought our food out and set it down. No apology. No friendliness. I stopped her as she walked away and asked her if a 40 minute wait was normal. She rudely stated that they were backed up and walked away. I have to assume that drive thru orders and carry out orders take precedent, but waiting 40 minutes for 3 deep fried pieces of fish and a corn dog is ridiculous. We were late after leaving. A normal sorry for your wait wouldve sufficed. Ive never eaten at Culvers before and I never will again.
First time visiting this location and the staff was completely rude. Received our food and part of the order was wrong and other drink items were missing and couldnt even drink one of the sodas because of the taste. Should have checked everything before leaving the drive-thru.
Let me start off by saying Culvers in general is usually amazing. Ive been to both locations in central OH and never had a problem the food was hot and service was friendly and fast. However this Culvers does the other two Culvers a disservice and is a disgrace to even be called a Culvers. First off the customer service was awful.. The young man who took my order sounded like I was bothering him ordering, but fine whatever I get it Friday night would rather be somewhere else. But Its an insult when you give the customers lousy service and cold food cheese not even melted, and an even bigger insult when you overhear employees say just put it in the microwave, with the manager in earshot but he did not intervene or show leadership. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend this Culvers and possibly the other ones in central oh if they follow suit and operate poorly like this one.
Poorly managed store meant standing waiting for food for half an hour. The manager was preparing orders, but was extremely slow. He had several younger employees standing around waiting for hin to pass them orders to hand out. And yet, as condiments and supplies would run low, he would leave them standing and waiting while he stopped to restock. A good manager manages his employees and stands out of their way. This gentleman could learn a lot from a good manager. Or even from his assistant manager who was stealthily trying to speed things up.

2021-10-23Service here is amazing and the food is really good. Never been to a Culvers before and this was a great first experience. Staff was constantly cleaning and they even clean the bathrooms every hour. Very impressed with this location.

2022-04-23We took our seven year old grandson here for lunch. He thought the cheeseburger was excellent and really enjoyed the caramel sundae that came with his meal. My husband and I both had the fish sandwich and fries and they were much better than others we have had elsewhere. The staff was friendly and helpful too.

2022-03-16Excellent menu, everything you order is above any other fast food. The staff is young and very professional and polite. Try their fish then compare to others in the same categories. McDonalds square fish? Come on that should have been changed years ago. Culvers food is a class of their own and their very modest about it.

2022-03-01Juicy, delicious burgers made fresh and served hot. Paired with hot, crispy fries and cheese curds: a tasty meal! And of course the freshly-made frozen custard is a real treat! Restaurant is very clean, and the helpful staff is very pleasant.

2022-02-25I havent been to Culvers in a few years. Used the drive thru , good service, person taking my order was knowledgeable and polite. The food was okay, I ordered the pot roast dinner, I asked about it I didnt see it on the menu. Good portion of meat. Mashed potatoes and gravy, Cole slaw. Under $10. I may return soon to check out other menu items.

2022-07-08I love Culvers! Please come to northeast PA! The deluxe burger, with onion rings, and a plain chocolate frozen custard is my favorite meal. The food is always delicious and service is great. They also have many different options, which I can appreciate.

2022-06-30Love this place! The lines can get long and you do typically have to wait for a bit. Using the app to order can help this. Their butterburgers and fries can’t be beat! Perfect for a stop after a trip to the zoo.
