CSL Plasma in other cities:
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I waited over an hour and a half to check my veins checked and a group of people got all of theirs done before me after showing up after me. The staff is beyond rude. A nurse by the name of Nancy was probably the worst nurse Ive ever had the displeasure of meeting. She was overly rude for no reason. The Manager named Fred was also rude. Rushing people and dismissing them. Save the gas trip these people arent worth dealing with.
These workers wont change their behavior until people stop putting up with it. I urge people to stop visiting this location until CSL Plasma issues a formal apology, and changes out the problematic workers. If you refuse to abstain from engaging with this location, just know that regardless of your situation, you are part of the problem.
Not interested in your side of the story. Even if you arent an obvious thug/trailer park dweller with face tattoos convinced theyre trying to clone you with your dirty needle, they will effectively treat you as one. The same across 3 different CSL centers all of which have been reviewed by myself, plus Talecris. If they say you were being rude, it doesnt matter what your side of the story is, whether you show apology or any attempt to improve, or any evidence beyond a staff member said it so all staff, for the price of one piece of paperwork on their end, can screw you over by denying you part of your income.Oh, and I was told this should NOT be considered income, despite you getting paid out. Its a voluntary donation and time compensation; you know, sometimes I go to Burger King to Donate them some money, and in return they donate me food I request! This was rude too apparently, despite the average staffer having zero input or creative capability in the corporate propaganda- and it IS propaganda- its called a donation every time and its framed as NOT blood selling, but a life saving donation youre compensated for.R3tarded, idiotic, slow, elitist, and like all blue collar people ever are- worried about trivial bullsh1t instead of doing their job better, which is why theyre poor and always will be. Sadly, if youre going here, youre probably poor too, and this should be a good hard look into the future if you behave like this.
Quite frankly, I dont understand why any complaints? I been going here off & on for two years. Staff has always treated me with dignity and respect. They have always been polite & respectful. Always courteous and understanding about my my being deaf. They all and always go above and beyond to overcome the communication issues. These are good people and I love each and every one of them! 😊🤩
If you go first thing in the morning youll have the best success. They are typically more staffed, and capable of being more helpful and less frustrated by their long day.Coming in later means attitude and lots of pointless waiting because they have less staff. One nurse to cover new donors and return donors with health questions seems like a recipe for frustration for everyone involved.
I was there Saturday. Kinda nice but also rude. Told my first time would be 2.5 hours it took 4 hours. Because of this I passed out. They said I didnt eat or drink enough trying to blame me but it was they fault for holding me for 3.5 hours in the new patients area. I will not be returning. Not worth it. I will gose else where. I do this for a sick friend not for the money.
I don’t post very many reviews but I felt the need to share my overall experiences with this center. I have been coming to this location for a few months now and it seems like the main concern is the staffing. While a great amount of the staff have a great individual personality, professionally speaking, they are not so great.A lot of the staff here spend more time talking within themselves than acknowledging donors. If you speak with a staff individually, they are generally polite and kind, but they tend to focus on the socializing part of their jobs. This can be frustrating because there would be a line of 5 or 6 people and you can see and hear the staff at the vitals station laughing up a storm and talking about their personal lives. At times, it feels like the staff here think that all donors depend on the money given to them for donating and that they rely on this service. This is not true and makes it feel more of a hassle to actually come and donate regularly.Writing this review, I’m standing in line to get my vitals taken. After I left the vitals station I was frustrated because the staff processing me denied to give me hand sanitizer. My thought process is that there are people with dried up blood on their fingers touch the signature pad pen and acknowledging the consent. The last thing that I want is to be spreading my blood and getting traces of other’s blood on my recently pricked finger.Overall I think that this specific center lacks strong customer service skills, general awareness of their donors, and staffing. If this center had a stronger management focusing on the behavior of their staff, I think that would help lines move faster and would speed up the processing time for donors. This would help customer service perception, make staff acknowledge donors, focus on their work, and might even motivate potential staff to apply. It’s difficult to want to work in a location that seems so careless about their donors. In a nutshell:ProsStaff is great on a 1:1 basis, if you push towards a conversationExtra incomeRelatively clean facilityConsQuestionable customer serviceUnderstaffing and distractions are causes for long wait timesStaff aren’t generally welcoming, no smiles not excited about their work
I would give negative 86 stars if I could. This place is not only dirty but has the most disgustingly ghetto and ratchet employees I have ever seen. Singing out loud, talking about donors, being rude to donors, walking around taking their time and not being prompt with needle removal. You have to wait and listen to their hoodrat lingo until they feel like even acknowledging you. If they dont like you they will blow your vain on purpose. Tiffany has got to be the most ratchet individual I have ever come across. Jamie the center manager does not manage her employees correctly and is rude as hell. The place still has the same smudge on the Windows that was there 2 weeks ago. I doubt I have seen a clean lab coat yet. The whole place is a joke and the employees are basically Desoto Bass rejects without any real medical experience. This place is the epitome of nasty. Never again.
Nothing about this experience so far I have liked. The staff are rude as hell first off. Today is sunday, August 30th 2015. I came in here as a first time donor yesterday, I called at 1pm to see how busy they were, I was told to come on in there were only a couple of people here. I get here about 130, the waiting room is filled. I dont even get seen by the nurse after almost 3 hours of waiting, therefore they call me and 2 others up and give us an express pass. Already furious I waited that long for NOTHING to get accomplished, I returned today about 10am, it is now a quarter after noon and Ive been told 4 times I will be next and numerous people have gone Im front of me. Still having nothing accomplished other than watching the consent video. The lady behind the desk left for lunch on her way out, told me I was next... still people continue to go in front of me. This place is poorly ran, and needs new staff. I dont feel comfortable or welcome here. The staff are not smiling, and act as if they hate it and treat everyone like theyre just another number not a person. Horrible experience for my first time here. Youd think they would treat people better whom just want to donate because its for a good cause. Highly dissatisfied!
Staff overall professional and attentive to clients. I feel welcomed and they greet me by name. Any issues I have had where minor and addressed immediately.***Add on**One of the staff members Sarah has lost all my confidence. My machine keep stopping today 05-05-19She took here sweet time to attend to my alarm and even set up a machine while I was alarming. Even Fred asked what alarm is going off she acted as if it was nothing until then and turned to me and said I am coming..😯She came over looked at my arm at 2:58 and went to employee area while my machine waa atill alarming and never notified anyone🙊 I was having an issue. She return 2 minutes later and said good-bye and left the facility. No thanks to Sarah👎
My first visit was today and everyone was friendly. Everything moved Pretty quickly and the staff was informative. My only issue was some of the staff was unprofessional speaking loudly across people about getting drunk and how they were understaffed. The understaffed issue I sorta understood but other conversations made me a little uncomfortable.
I went into CSL plasma at 2:00pm , they did not even acknowledge that I was there (which was my first time) or help with the sign in process, so after sitting there 35min I finally find a lady to ask if I sign in or what should I do and she helped me. I then had to sit an additional 2hrs just waiting and watching people see the Nurse before me. Finally once it was my turn the lady at the desk tells me she is going on lunch so she goes and comes back, when she gets back she tells me it’s my turn to see the nurse but she has to go on break as well so I wait an additional 45 min. Finally they get me into a room for a questionnaire, after that I go in to see the nurse happy that I finally am getting somewhere , and she tells me I cannot donate because of a nose piercing done 7 MONTHS AGO . Don’t recommend this place what so ever.
Everyone here is SO sweet and helpful! I unfortunately, had a bad reaction to donating. I passed out and got sick. They ended up having to call 911 :/ but, they did everything they could to make sure I was okay! They brought me water, juice, crackers, snacks, and candy. They were SO nice to me and made me feel like I was not a problem. I would love to come back but I’m unsure if my body would let me lol :/
Even one star is far too generous a rating for this establishment. First of all the costumer service is non-exisitant. Will wait 10 mins to even be helped. The first time I came to donate they told me I couldnt because I was wearing a dress. The next time I came back to donate, I waited 3 1/2 hours, only to be told nearly at the end of the screening process that I could not donate because I was nervous about donating. Who in their right mind wouldnt be anxious about being stabbed with a giant needle? If you wish to be chosen, you might as well just tell them what they wanna hear.
It was my first time here and after reading the reviews, I have to admit I was hesitant. To my surprise, the experience was a good one. The staff here was so friendly and helpful. They walked me through every step and made sure I understood the process. The first time does take a few hours to get through everything but it does go by pretty quickly.
First time donor complete registration which I was told would take 2.5 hours MAX. It took 4Came back the next day to donate, went through vitals just fine and in to wait to donate, they have no system. I waiting about 45 minutes just for two men who came in AFTER me to be up BEFORE me .Some of us donors have real jobs to get to and use this as a little extra cash. we waste time waiting just for people who can came after to go before us then we have to leave after waisting time waiting bc we have REAL jobs to get to! First time Ive been here and Im going to be going else where from now on .
Went in for the first time today and I had expectations of this taking some time. But I didnt expect a 4+ hour wait time which I was told. Technically, Im still waiting to complete nd just by observing what Im seeing. It looks like this location is very understaffed just by the volume of people. The staff seem very friendly and knowledge despite looking visually irritated. I hope this goes well.
I think my only problem is too many of them do not stick you correctly. I have gone in there on numerous occasions and one person will be stuck two or three times. I had that happen twice. Yes, I drink tons of water and eat properly 24 hours before I donate. I personally will only let Raj or Stephanie take care of me. Yes everyone has their own preference, I am just saying
I have attempted to donate twice this year. The first time I was refused because I was waiting on my new drivers license to come in the mail. Today I cannot because I donated 25 years ago under my maiden name. They said I have to bring in proof that I got married 24 years ago. This isn’t a genealogical testing process. Why in the world would I need to bring you my marriage or divorce records??? I’ve wasted my time again. Ugh.
The worst plasma center I have ever used. They know nothing of operating a business efficiently. What should be an hour long process usually takes 2-3 hours. The employees spend more time talking about things unrelated to work and less time focusing on the job they are paid to do. I gave them one star because google requires a review of at least one star.
Staff is rather impatient with clients at the service. Many seem simply tired of being there and as such only adds to a hostile environment. Many are clueless as to what they are supposed to be doing and instead of going to find someone that can assist them they sit there talking to one another. Gossip is also a big topic there. Prepare to wait for extended periods of time and possibly be discriminated against.
On august 5, 2015 one of the Csl plasma workers randomly walked up and pulled a needle out of my arm and didnt have any gauze in her hands. She and all of the workers including the manager on duty at the time watched me bleed for almost a full minute from a open vain. I said to the girl why arent you getting gauze to apply pressure and she just stared at me, then I yelled for someone to get gauze and they still didnt respond until I almost completely went unconscious and one of their workers tried to walk off with my computer when I could barely keep my eyes open. Then the girl and another worker started yelling at me to hold my own gauze which is not my job and I wasnt wearing gloves either (which is unethical and unsanitary.) Then a worker was yelling questions at me when I could barely hold my head up straight while still holding the one piece of a soaked through couple pieces of bled through gauze. Nobody checked my pulse, or blood pressure afterwords to check my vital statistics either they just asked me questions. The manager that has a bald head and is chubby and wears glasses refused to wrap up my arm when there was blood all over half of my arm, there was also blood all over the arm rest/side of the bed and on the floor. Eventually they wrapped up my arm and had another person tell me that they would pay me 20 extra dollars on that visit and the next one. I talked to someone who said he was a manager on the 8th of august and he said that they would reprimand the person responsible, they also refused to say what punishment she would receive. he also told me that something like that would never happen again and that I wouldnt be deferred when I asked him about it. The problem is that when I came back a week later on august 12, 2015 manager deferred me for 2 months saying that they thought I lost 200 milliliters of blood and said that thats a double unit of blood and its not and said that to air on the side of caution they needed to defer me for 8 weeks. she just rattled off a bunch of stupid stuff and tried to act like I was stupid, and when I told her that it shouldnt take that long to replace the cells she dismissed my arguments. I knew she was lying because Ive been taking medical classes for 2 years so I went online to double check and it takes 3-4 weeks maximum and she deferred me for 8 weeks. I have completed the Emergency Medical technician Program at Sinclair Community college, my job specifically involves treating life threatening injury. Those employees violated every basic rule of C.P.R. nobody tried to apply direct pressure which is a basic bleeding control technique. What they did was incredibly dangerous and I almost went into full shock. I didnt have a radial pulse (the one at the wrist) which is a sign of the beginning stages of shock. The only reason I had to check my own heart rate is because the people that were supposed to check my pulse....didnt. Im an Emergency Medical Technician and they violated the basic rules of bleeding control and C.P.R. I have never seen such unprofessional business in my life and unless you have to I would not go to CSL Plasma unless I absolutely had to. they also make up stupid excuses for deferring people for months at a time... Ive seen them do it to a lot of people and smile in their faces and lie.
Ive never had any problems. Fast everyone is friendly. The people who complain are probably the ones who dont follow directions. Your suppose to drink water eat fruits you know the basics before you donate so you can flow faster thats with any type of blood donation. And csl more strict with the rules as they should, they do use your plasma for medicines for crying out loud. People will always find stupid excuses to complain but you cant please everybody. I like it highly recommend!
First time donors you will have to have at least 3 to 4 hours to spend on the process, to see if you qualified. after that you will go to the floor where they will take your blood or plasma , there will be about 40 minutes minimum. I should not go on weekends for first time. The phlebotomist seems to be professionals with a few exceptions. If you are lucky on your first visit they will explain you all, if not the phlebotomist will do it. if you are going for first time , please eat or you will pass out because of the waiting, also drink water or garorate, thy have nice restrooms so don t worry a bout it, but you most be well hydrate. For supervisor or office personnel, make sure everybody have name tag, many employees don not have name tag. many employees do not speak loud . employees on the floor are ok, 5 stars to the Phlebotomist
Ive experienced some mishaps, however, it really just depends on you. If your able to get there bout 30mins before they open, youll be outta there in bout 70mins.Also, you gotta for real drink water. Makes a good difference in donation time. But I did have one TERRIBLE experience that made me quite for over 6mos.. I was set to recieve my $80 bonus on my 8th visit, but during my 7th donation, the girl poked and prodded my vein so bad it, she caused a major bruise, and the bruise screwed me outta my $80. Also, I got real tired of the $20 donations. Sorry my blood is woworth more than $20
The staff spends to much time talking to each other... To understaffed for itat.No flow, manager blames doner filterr clogged... Dont ask if it feels right dont try to fix the problem just keeps turn the machine down already been here almost 3 hours and now going to take another 45 minutes easy... Not good
I was turned down because of my zip code. The list of accepted zip codes did not include mine. I was told it was a decision made by Corporate and would have to take it to them. No phone number or email address given but was assured they would contact me. Im still waiting. I cant understand why my area or anyones area should be declined. Ive been living at the same address in a nice suburban neighboor for 29 years. It makes no sense.
This place is a joke. I have now wasted $10.50 on the bus and 10 hours of my time. I was told today that if they do ever let me donate they will give me an extra $5.00 for my inconvenience. Im poor, not stupid. Why would I waste time making a 4th trip? This place is nothing but an excercise in futility. I hope I can help prevent others from going through this. When it comes to their staff, the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. Sincerely, James Mulvaney
Some of the crew seems like extras from The Walking Dead. Shuffling around going slow, especially when its busy. I never had problems until some woman stuck me too far and created a knot and a massive bruise. Havent been back since. They also take too long, that whatever you ate beforehand might not be enough (so be prepared for that).
UPDATE: 7/9/2020 There has been sbsolutely no response to anyones fears about giving plasma. It is real INPO. Anyone who would give plasma, and has not done so based on the numerous negative reviews like me, has not been any reason to believe that theyve read these reviews and cared nor have had anything positive to say to change their personal opinion. Just my 2 pennies. They have such a bad reputation here that I am afraid to go. There are other complaints on other websites about the bad experiences at CSL.
I am appuald at the staff. An older woman checked my veins and had dirty cloves on. I could tell do to the stains on them. Good thing my veins are too small. I feel like dunking myself in a bucket of sanitizer. Please please retrain your staff for the safety of all. BTW I am a phlebotomist and know my veins are perfect they are just deep.
After sitting an hour and a half completing there paperwork and videos, I am told I can not donate because they dont agree or like my tattoos. I didnt know that artwork on my body, had anything to do with your plasma donation process. I truly believe I have been discriminated against. This is completely offensive
After reading all these Personal experience reviews I do have to say that I have not had any experiences like them. I have been going here since 2008. I have had a reaction once and the4 staff was all over it, comforting me and making me feel safe. I recommend this place to anyone.
Went as a new donar two days in a row i was turned away first because i didnt have proof of address came back the next day then was turned away again because i was acussed of being on heroin which I have never done in my life I asked them to do a drug test on me but they still denied me anyway its pretty sad that u cant even do a good deed during christmas time the lady at the front desk is very rude and power hungry Was having a conversation with the person who brought me down as I did not want to drive home after she then mistook my conversation as tho I was speaking of her and told me to leave and that i was not allowed back because of this.
All was well until a new chick set the machine up wrong, Im glad I looked at the cup filling up w/ blood on the first draw!!!! So thn I was deferred for 56 days, & wasnt told until I went bk a couple days later & was told I was told I was deferred, given fluids to replenish, & told to sit for 15 mins... NOT tru!!! Another donor
The staff where I donate Plasma , are profession, friendly, and Fun to be around. The facility is clean, attractive inside and outside, safe, with ample parking.CSL Plasma is a great business, that helps you the donor, by giving you a monetary incentive, to help people with life threatening diseases. Also you as a donor of Plasma gain the benefits, of better health, from the one gallon of water, and better eating habits necessary, to produce the life saving Plasma you donate per visit. The one gallon of water you need to drink, can be consumed 24 hours before your visit, to donateSince I started donating Plasma at CLS, my weight has come down quite a bit. My blood pressure is great. I drink more water, which is very necessary to good health, and proper weight control. We humans are 70% water you know. So as for myself donating Plasma is a Win, Win for all YAY(;).*Im a Life Saver. Are you?(:)*
This place is the absolute worst. The employees are rude they do not give you any information or they give you wrong information and because of this they have caused me to waste my time and gas. Both my friend and i who went in have been hurt from the same worker when she put the needle in. Ive since gone to a different place and two workers from this other place both said they have worked at csl and have told me that the new emploees are inproperly trained and have screwed them over on pay raises. This place doesnt care about their emploees or the donors.
When your done they leave you there to sit so they can do 1-3 machines no ones on before they unhook you alot of them have attitudes barely anyone greets you it just seems not to be a happy environment they talk to you like a child and get rude if you do something maybe you didnt know you couldnt do so instead of just letting them know the rules u get attitude with it
I had went twice now and both very pleasant experiences. There was only one time when they was checking my vital that the lady just handed me a re-take form and I went and got into line to donate because I had no clue what was going on. The one who took my vitals didnt even tell me what I needed to do. And also I had a FREE PASS and it was pretty much wasted because they was hooking everyone up before me because they called us all at once. So pretty much wasted my free pass

2022-03-25The staff was incredibly rude. Horrible experience, walked out before even donating due to the staff. My friend and I went to go donate plasma together, walked in with no mask and not one person said anything to us. We continued through the whole process with no mask and stayed together as they directed us. Then we were about to donate, and were harassed to stay away from each other and put a mask on. When the entire time we were together which was directed by other staff members for us to stay together. We were never asked or told we were required to put a mask on once for the entire hour and half we are already there. She then continued to yell at us and harassed us.

2022-02-13Noah and Eli and Stephany were great .they made me feel at ease with my first time donor experience. Noah is awesome.he was by himself and was working all booths multitasking while being very friendly and practicing safe cleaning habits.

2021-12-17My experience was pleasant enough overall. My complaint is that they are not upfront about the time limit you have to receive new donor rewards. Obviously it saves them $ to not tell us that but it would be better in my opinion to be upfront with people. You dont know everyones situation & we shouldnt have to share our business with strangers just to be seen as human. Its very difficult for me to leave my home & mask for over an hour in order to donate & i definitely wouldnt be doing it if i could get food money while staying at home. Just tell the truth so people can make informed decisions vs feeling tricked & not even receiving the amount they need to buy food.

2022-07-02To say that my experience has been absolutely horrible is an understatement. I had a donation complication that caused me to have to stop a donation. I was told I would to to ve cleared by the Dr to donate again and that would be done wed 6/30 by 12. I called around 2 on the 30th and was advised I could donate on the 1st only to get there and find out I need a medical clearance to donate. I spent 45 mins waiting but was cleared by staff to donate the following day 7/2 (today). To my surprise this was the second time I was lied to. My time is just as important as the plasma I donate. I expect it to be respected. Utterly disappointed in the lack of professionalism.

2022-06-18The one on Patterson and Wilmington is way better they pay $100 for the first 7 visits and new donors skip everyone in line.. and you have to wait 2 hours as well your first time..but they all treat you with the respect you deserve.. they also have referral bonuses.. Ive made over 1,800 already..and 800 was just for bringing people

2021-04-14I have no idea why the review on this location is really bad. I can say all good experience with this center. The staff are busy but they make sure to attend you on time. I am donating again because of this experience plus you get paid. It took us 3 hours for the first visit but thats just because of a long process and the reason behind that is they wanna make sure you are eligible and meet all the requirements prior to donation. They are just doing all their job and ensuring safety for the donor and ofcourse the plasma is free from any risk factors. Overall good experience! 👍

2021-11-29Horrible experience. They wrecked my arm on more than one occasion and would be weeks between donations because of the bruising. Take my advice go to Biolife. Ive had no issues donating there.
