CSL Plasma in other cities:
This place isnt all that great. They seem to be very understaffed and you can tell that the workers do not like their jobs. There have been about 3 times where I have donated and someone is talking bad about the job or complaining for their break. When at the vital checkpoint, the workers always leave off to do other things in the middle of getting your vitals. I work at a veterinary hospital so its often that I have scratches or small bruises and they are just so awkward when they want you to see the nurse. They just hand you a sheet to see the nurse not even giving you the reason why first. I have no problem at all seeing the nurse, but I would like to know what is going on first before I am told to go. If you dont really care about feeling welcomed in a friendly environment, then you really wont mind going to this facility. Typically there is a long wait, but the facility is very clean.
Great staffing with people who really know what they are doing! I have had a few occasions where the needle hurt while coming out of my arm due to the person putting too much pressure, but it was nothing major! Everybody here moves fast and are nice every visit. Drink you some water and head over there to donate!
Im so glad that Im able to donate again after Ive had my shots! I used to donate plasma to a National Organization until I found out that this organization was reselling my donation. That used to take 3+ hours with needles in both arms! Then I found out that it was a multi million dollar business and they were charging others! Now it a needle in one arm and about 45 minutes once Im hooked up, and I get a donation for my time! The place is clean, comfortable and I really enjoy seeing the people who work there! The employees are fantastic! Ive recommended them to a lot of people!!!
The staff is great and has always been kind and professional but the company needs to fix the prepaid card problem. Its like they got together and said hey how can we take advantage of vulnerable people and make the most off them. Well lets take there blood, give them a card and penalize them every time they use it. Will we be transparent to people donating there blood to us? NOOOOO we will hide behind apps that dont work! But it seems like these people dont have steady work and are desperate shouldnt we just profit off the plasma and not off the money they have earned? NOOOOO we choose money over people and will exploit people who are literally giving there blood, time and energy to us.
There are only three people that work here and two are on lunch break at any given time. Without exaggeration this is the absolute slowest and most understaffed center I have ever been to.Five years of off and on donations across three states and seven centers, this is the ONLY CSL plasma center that has ever gotten me to dread donating. Not because of the needle sticks or the actual donation experience, but because Im going to be waiting an hour before I even get to the finger stick. I shouldnt have to clear my calendar just to come donate plasma. My return doner experience here was worse, and its not uncommon for new doners to be here for over three or four hours. They dont take pay stubs as proof of address despite every other center I have been to doing so. The phone rings forever, noone answers, and good luck getting anyone at the front desk.
The staff beside being understaffed was awesome except the male and female initial exams decided to spend eccentric time chatting and texting in the cubicle office as if they was having their home affair 🙄 boring as if so she could have been done got the Dee if it was me but zesty not always every man style
My friend went in to donate plasma and once he got back to the chair to donate they ended up having to stick the needle in the SAME vein 3 different times, he ended up spewing blood all over and they continued on the other 2 times after. They did not clean his arm up even after all of the blood. The doctor who had taken his plasma donation did not have any good bedside manners. The nurse screening was not changing her gloves properly either, she’d change between patients but not when touching other surfaces in between. (phone, counters, computers etc) Definitely would not recommend this location.
I am not going to share everything that happened but a brief synopsis. Basically I wanted to donate because of people having cancer in my family. But they professionally said and wouldn’t let me because I was “to unstable.” Even though I am seeing someone, for my mental health issues. Don’t recommend going here.
I had a okay experience here till I donated last and I didnt get my return whatsoever. There was a air bubble in the pipe and they tried to get it out but couldnt. I was at the end of my cycle and all they had to say was here is a Gatorade and make sure you rest. They didnt have me go to the nurse afterwards or anything.SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL
This is the only place Ive ever gone to donate and honestly, I really like it. Not every member of staff is super friendly, but they are all very polite and courteous. Definitely try to avoid Wednesdays because the lines are forever, but the longest Ive been there is maybe 1.5 hours. Drink lots of water and eat before you go. I didnt eat one time and I threw up.If you go at night, ask for Tasha. She is the greatest. The worst experience there was actually my most recent visit. There were no customers out front and 1 employee was training a new person. The manager was logging something in the computer. The 2nd employee was just watching th trainer making sure she was training correctly. When the manager asked her to come check me in, she got an attitude and didnt want to and made me wait. That is not the norm! But that chick is not a people person.Overall, I enjoy coming here. I donate because I lost a friend to cancer, getting paid is a bonus.I do recomend this location.
Absolutely wonderful donation center. Quick and easy. Expect at least 3 hours on your first day as you have to watch videos and get a check up to make sure youre healthy to donate. Ive seen people getting mad about the first day taking so long, but its required to get you in the system and make sure you know everything you need to know. The staff is amazing. Always so friendly, talkative, comforting and confidant in what they are doing. I have donated in the past but this location is by far the best place I have been.
This center is great! The initial visit does take a while since they have to do an orientation, probably 2 and a half hours, but the actual donation process takes 45 minutes tops. The staff are helpful and explain everything, the wait is short to get in, and the screenings and donation are super easy - the needle going in was the worst part. Also, the money is loaded straight onto a prepaid card, and you make between $40 and $70 depending on how often you visit. TOTALLY recommend it as an easy way to make a few bucks.
The last two times i came here, some guy blew veins in both of my arms. They Didnt mention it at all, Said I could come back in 4 days. On the same day my wife wasnt able to get her return of cells, usually this results in a deferral of a couple weeks with most places because your body has to replenish those cells, which takes time. They told her to come back in 4 days as well. DONT RISK YOUR HEALTH HERE
Always understaffed. The employees that work there are by thier own admission underpaid and overworked. You can tell that they hate being there. Clearly a management issue. I wouldnt be friendly to people if I hated my job so I cant blame them. Staff members have been rude to me in the past. From a management viewpoint this place is absolutely ridiculous. I hope they see this and get it together.
Staff here are great. All are friendly and very helpful. Confident in there jobs and they all seem to enjoy it. Makes the visit pleasant. After your initial visit of getting signed up; the process is fairly quick considering youre selling parts of your body. The facilities are always clean and makes the visit that much more comfortable. They also provide Wi-Fi so thats great. All in all great staff all around. If youre going to sell your Plasma if recommend CSL.
They didnt have latex free bandages and just used tape on me. (They said because corporate is cheap.) By the time I got home ten minutes later I was bleeding through the gauze and blood was seeping underneath the tape onto my arm. No extra money for students or veterans and only $22 for the second visit of the week. Lowest payout Ive ever seen, but my first time donating in Ohio so maybe thats normal around here. Trash cans overflowing onto the floor. I was not impressed and will not be returning.
By far the best CSL Ive been to. Never a long wait and for some of the other reviewers that think the wait here is long please visit some of the other locations I have. Also very friendly staff there have only been a couple i didnt care for and they didnt seem to last long. All in all I definitely recommend this location.
Give this one a shot. So clean, quick service, no waiting in chairs like other locations. Drink plenty water amd eat b4 u go or theyll make u leave to grab food. No coffee. 45 min max of donation or faster. Avoid the one on campus or youll be down there forever with bums.
Please if you Value your life and time, this will be the last place you”ll ever Go, especially THIS CENTER, it’s Horrible and Time consuming, nobody Knows what their doing But they Sure Love to talk A lot and chit chat. HORRIBLE PLACE FULL OF LAZY SLOW PEOPLE with Attitude.
I had a dude there tell me a complete lie and flagged me for over a week. ....I went in and they told me i went and donated at another place...complete falsehood....then they told me someone STOLE MY SSN AND DONATED AS ME which troubled me greatly...dude told me I could return TODAY... MONDAY...and they had mr deferred??????

2021-12-29Over an hour wait and its not busy at all maybe 6 people came in during that hour. Staff is extremely slow and overpaid. They need better employees that dont goof off and actually workUPDATE: after almost 2 hours and still not being stuck I had to leave due to work. This place is a joke go to a decent center like Bio Blood Components on High Street. Better pay and faster service

2022-08-10Im all for having a fun work environment, but handle business first. Employees here are more interested in talking and discussing what theyre having for lunch than actually handling business. Cant tell you how many times the employee walked out of the room to ask what everyone is doing for lunch rather than taking my information. After being here for two hours, I was told I could not donate due to a medication I was taking. Why isnt this information shared before hand? I did my pre-visit checklist and nowhere does it mention a list of medication that defers you. Then, after being told I could not donate, I requested all my data and information that they just collected on me be deleted and was simply told, No, Im sorry. Its all in the system already. Hope lunch is good because its all they care about.

2022-05-25You should put a sign at the door saying: English language learners are not welcome. This can save every one´s time. You dud ask me to leave even though my son offered to rephrase your questions in easy English for me. I have never been so disrespected before AND I am a divorced woman who lived in Iran most of my life. Thank you for embracing what America is becoming about after Trump.

2022-04-16This place is down right scary, their equipment looks like portable table top 1970s versions. Their employees are the rejects from an online three week phlebotomy degree. But hey if youre willing to wrap up 3 hours to make $50 then this place might just be ghetto enough to meet your needs

2022-08-11Horrible service, slow & loud employees. Just standing around and talk about their personal business and dont even acknowledge when you approach the desk. Even the so called Nurse was being loud. Employees gossiping about their co worker and the company....spilling the beans......Not to mention how long it takes to get set up and get stuck and get disconnected because of the careless employees. Some of the employees personal hygiene needs attention as well. Going to a different plasma center is the best solution!!!! Just terrible😠REMEMBER CSL.......if you dont have your donors, you dont have a job!!!I wish there was 👎👎rating system.

2022-04-16Place is usually clean and most staff are exceptional. Just seems every time went someone would intentionally try to hurt me hy blowing veins. I say this because i would be called back, no hello nothing ..sink a nwedlein one arm tape it down walk odf to get another staff member. Never wven say it would be a min or apologies nothing. So i walked out sith both arms babdaged most times. Now im deferred for an accodent i wasin because i dodnt tell them. Yet i wasnt asked about it either. It is a double standerd. My advice go to anyplace othere than here.

2022-08-09I’ve donated before at the university location, compared to them this one is cleaner but staff wise the main nurses they have are a bit rude and pushy, I personally felt picked out bc everytime I went to donate there would be “something wrong with my file” or “they didn’t save your tattoo updates” or my favorite one, “you can’t donate bc you have tiny pinhole marks on your arm” as if they weren’t the ones that put them there

2022-03-18This may not be the worst donation center in Columbus but it is competing for it. They have the worst most disrespectful employees Ive ever meet! I was permanently deferred as a new donor for refuse to eat crackers, and drinking juice because I already eat!... arent you supposed to eat and drink after they take the blood from you and pump you with saileen?

2021-09-23I am currently donating twice a week. I was nervous at first, but the staff is great. Chad is so friendly and always does a great job answering all of my questions. That makes it feel less like a scary medical experience. Brian always gets the needle in on the first stick, which I appreciate. Thanks Chad, Brian, and other CSL staff!
