The Hotel was almost as amazing as the staff are, especially Mr. Alex!! They were accommodating, attentive, and friendly. We ate at the Ghostlight lounge while we were there and the food was fantastic and our server Chad was awesome. The restaurant was very busy and it looked like they were a little under staffed , but he made sure we were well taken care of. It was one of the best hotel stays and we are already planning our next trip to stay at the Crowne again!
Review would have been a complete 5 except for the check out experience. The check in experience was lovely — great room, comfy bed, nice staff. However, it took almost 2 hours for us to get our car upon check out. We waited from 11 AM to around 12:45 PM just to receive our vehicle and would have walked to the lot if allowed, but we were told it was a secured lot that only the valets could access. Glad we did not have a flight to make or anything time-sensitive. Hopefully they can get the valet situation figured out, and if not I would recommend not using that service when you stay here.
Mr Alex the concierge was AWESOME, as was Tomiko at the front desk.the service was fabulous as was the Bannas Foster in the restaurant. The chef came out to meet us..we enjoyed talking with her. Our room was very clean and the beds comfortable. A truly memorable stay! Highly recommend!!!
Excellent hotel in downtown Cleveland. Close to many of Cleveland’s best attractions. We ate dinner at The Ghost Light restaurant in the hotel and it was fantastic! I had the Captain Tony’s Lake Erie Walleye and my wife had the North Atlantic Salmon. Both were amazing! Make your reservation now!
We stayed here for a dinner theater show at the hotel. We wanted to just get a room to avoid getting a cab home or having to drive that night. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. Valet price and a slight draft in our room would be the main complaints but otherwise it was clean, safe, staff was great, bar was great. We had a great date night!
Positive: The location was close to everything we wanted to do. We were able to walk most places. Negative: The parking fee was steep - $20 per night would have been more reasonable -we were also taxed by the city. The food in the restaurant was not worth the prices they charged. It was not very good at all.
Arrived and the room was ready on time. Valet Service is great but was a little understaffed for check-in time. The manager was helping which was nice. The room was very spacious and clean and exactly as described. The bathroom was clean but only had 1 wash rag, 1 hand towel but did have 2 bath towels. Breakfast was $15 for what you would normally get free at other IHG hotels. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Part 1: Our wonderful stay started when we pulled up to the hotel. Valet and Mr. Alex came out promptly. Valet took care of us as Mr. Alex unloaded our car. I was shocked and confused! Mr. Alex said we are a full service hotel. We take care of you. We checked in after Mr. Alex unloaded our car. Check was pleasant and a breeze! Mr. Alex walked us and our bags to our room. He unloaded our bags. Part 2 coming soon.
This hotel is filthy, the jacuzzi water was green and smelled like pee, and the pool water was moldy and mildewed!!! Housekeeping is a con artist. My husbands bank account was robbed for $300, and he refused to return it. My rights were also violated. After check-out, the customer service was atrocious. Im currently preparing to file a lawsuit. THIS HOTEL IS NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!!!!!!!
Overall, I liked the hotel -- its convenient to Cleveland State University and to downtown. But, this is a noisy hotel : in the rooms, the noise of fan motors is constantly humming; the elevator makes loud beeps when the door opens, disturbing anyone in a room near the elevator; and the breakfast area has unpleasant music continually blaring. The eggs at the breakfast buffet are assembled into that standard bland paste, often seen in hotels. The price of the buffet is $16.95.
Great location and the valet was awesome. The hotel was also decorated very nicely for the holidays.Wasnt impressed with the front desk as our keys were deactivated 2 hours before checkout and we had to get them reactivated in order to gather our things after breakfast. Also pretty sure there was an incident outside the hotel involving the discharge of a firearm around 12 AM on a Saturday night. Something to consider if staying here, but not really the hotels fault. Also our king suite chandelier room door was ajar when we first accessed the room and there was only one small trashcan in the room. Not that we had a lot of trash, but kind of inconvenient. Pretty sure we werent the only one since I felt like most rooms had trash or dirty dishes in the halls on the way to our room.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location close to the sports venues. They fail to mention that parking is a $50 add on, breakfast is $17. Our room was so bad that we refused to shower in the hotel. No place on here to show the pictures of the hairs all over the bathroom. I would recommend sleeping in your car instead of wasting your money here.
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.Great hotel, prime-location, nice big rooms (with microwave and fridge), comfortable bed, cleanliness, and wonderful customer Service (Edwin, Gayle, Ciara, Kim). The restaurant next door to the hotel has great food and drinks. Very reasonably priced. I would stay here again for all those reasons.
The manager Gloria charged my card in full before checking in and getting to the hotel. Then once upon arrival charged my boyfriend’s card in full as well. I’ve never heard of a hotel doing that and I would never stay here again. We selected pay at hotel for a reason, seems like a scam to have your money being held TWICE.
Despite having a reservation weeks in advance with a platinum elite membership, we had to wait two hours for a room to be available even though we arrived well after check-in opened. When we finally got a room, the toilet wasn’t flushed and we had no trash bags, towels or a shower curtain. When we asked for towels, they told us they didn’t have any and wouldn’t be able to get us any until the following morning. That being said, the hotel looked nice and all employee interactions I had were positive. Everyone working was friendly and working hard. I suspect they might have been short-staffed. The bartender was especially amazing as she was the only one working a full bar on a Saturday during a back-up in room availability.
We stayed in a family suite. The room was a nice size and the kids liked having their own area. The hotel was nicely located and we could walk many places safely. It was neat to see the place house square lit up at night. The fitness room was clean and had nice equipment. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was not cleaned in some places such as mirrors and windows. But overall it was fine. We had an issue with the hot water but the front desk helped to ensure everything was fine and got it working better.
Positive: Breakfast staff was great with good food a bit pricey for a buffet style breakfast but good food good staff and no lines. Negative: Check in issues, double charged had to wait for almost an hour to get resolved finally got a room and made our way to it only to find the room being painted. had to go back down to the front desk to wait yet again for a different room. Dont stay here.
I stayed at the Cleveland Crowne plaza and from the valet to check out EVERYTHING was perfect! I was attending a wedding and accidentally left cash in my vehicle. I was extremely pleased to see the cash still there when our valet retrieved our vehicle. I also accidentally left an expensive jacket in the room closet and I received a phone call a couple of hours later stating that they found the jacket and will hold it at the front desk for me to pick up at my convenience. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the courtesy and kindness of all the staff and the comfort and safety of the rooms. I will be back and I highly recommend this location to all my friends! Thank you for such great service to your guests!!!
This hotel is a nice venue, has super staff, and excellent sleep quality. Unfortunately my room had a running toilet which I would have expected to be repaired before I entered the room. The restaurant was not open for lunch, but fortunately an absolutely superb restaurant is located next door. All in all an enjoyable, peaceful experience - only slightly marred by the toilet issue. The front desk gentleman who checked me in was absolutely superb. Our association had a dinner in the restaurant and the meal was excellent, I enjoyed the steak dinner more than the one at Mortons the night before.
The entire experience was great. We had the same Porter at our arrival and departure Mr Alex was excellent. We used the valet services that were quick, prompt, and easy. The room was ready when we arrived and checkin was quick and easy. Our room was clean and very quite. The only downfall for our visit was the swimming pool was closed and there was nothing stating this online. The pool was the only reason I chose this hotel over the Holiday Inn Express right down the street.
The front desk associate Miss joy. Was an absolute delight. She was so sweet and so helpful during my check-in process and my checkout process. The valet attendant Dwayne was always helpful and made sure that our car was delivered on time. I appreciate the experience and I will definitely be returning for leisure
Mr. Alex was wonderful. A jack of all trades. Very helpful and there if we needed. The young lady who was in the bar/breakfast area was wonderful too. Got us what ever we needed. My only complaint is we had only 1 washcloth for 2 people, and 2 towels. No drinking glasses and 1 waste basket. Not a big deal, but when you pay their prices, I expected better. The hotel looked old and dark, but mr. alex and this young lady in bar area were wonderful.
Everyone was friendly and helpful! From the valet to the front desk! We also had drinks at the Ghost Light and the bar tendersWe’re amazing!! And at breakfast the wait staff were on the ball, and very friendly. Overall our stay was great! We are booked for a stay in December when we see Wicked.
It was ok. Close to the theater district. Walking distance to restaurants and sports venues in downtown Cleveland. The room needs some upgrades. The room was kind of bland, nothing special. Also, I found a dirty cotton swab in the bathroom. The drain in the shower was really clogged, so while showering, I was standing in water. We were only in Cleveland for the weekend, so it fit the bill of what we needed, but it is not one of the nicer of the hotels in downtown Cleveland. Also, dont go on the other side of the hotel. It gets real sketchy back there. Weve stayed at Westin and The Arcade in downtown Cleveland. I recommend one of those places if youre in town for more than a couple of days.
Great, clean hotel just a block from the Playhouse Square theaters. Room was clean and comfortable, and the bed slept well, although the AC quite couldnt keep up with 90+ degree afternoons. Had drinks at the bar, and a great conversation with the bartender. All the staff was courteous and seemed happy to help. It was a bit unusual to be buzzed in at the entrance, but the COVID protocol was understandable.
Stayed here at the Cleveland Crowne plaza at Playhouse square. Met by Valet on a Friday night and was very slow service. Went to check in on our 22nd anniversary and thought there might be something special for the occasion to be recognized in some way, and nothing. It was noted in reservation and not even a mention. Got the keys and went to the room. Nothing. Checked out the room like we normally do, and noticed bathroom in a king room had just one set of towels? Went to theatre. At least we enjoyed that.Checked out next morning, valet had just 1 worker and 10-15 guests checking out. Waited about an hour. Very unable with stay.
The whole front desk and valet team were exceptional. Especially Joy at the desk. Valet was a little slow as the minimal spots out front fill up quick and there is nowhere to wait but in the road with your hazards on. Room was a little dated but very nice and quiet. Minor issues with comer cleaning, high dusting, etc that would have taken the score to a 5.
Top notch hotel! Arrived in Cleveland ahead of schedule. Called hotel for early check in option, was granted. Greeted warmly at check in, recognized as Spire member as well. Room was great! Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, well stocked, everything working properly, and well maintained. Stayed two nights. Breakfast buffet was good with many options, well stocked, and service was great there too. Plenty to do within walking distance or a very short taxi ride of the hotel. Valet was quick with the car when needed, called down and had it there when we arrived in the lobby. No problems at check out either, quick and easy. Staff was very greeting and warm every time we walked through the lobby. No issues at all with our stay. Stayed at many IHG brands over the years, well done by all. Keep up the great work! Great staff, great stay! Highly recommend this property.
We stayed at the Crown Plaza for our friend’s wedding and was thrilled by the experience. The venue was conveniently located at the Plaza and the staff is extremely nice. They helped me when I lost my key and the Valet works quickly. I didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant but look forward to it next time we stay here!
Perfect location, awesome staff, comfy beds! Can’t say enough good things about this town and this hotel! The people at this hotel and everywhere we visited nearby in our 5 day stay were some of the most hospitable people we have ever visited with! Can’t wait to come back!
If you have children and our looking for a great size room for the kids....stay here in the family suite. It was spacious, had bunk beds, a little kids table, and if you request a microwave and refrigerator..they’ll put one in your room if they’re available. The king size bed was super comfy and the view of downtown was awesome! This hotel is located in the heart of the city. There are a lot of things in walking distance. Again, great hotel and great customer service! We will definitely stay there again!
My husband and booked a night away from our stressful daily lives and had a great stay. The staff at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and we had a great view of some of the city. It was a great location being within walking distance to most sites. Would stay here again.
Great location near our wedding venue. Hotel clean and staff was super accommodating. Bed was comfy. But the room lighting was worst I have ever encountered in a hotel. Needs to be improved. Also no food or bar available on weekends and hotel was fully booked. Realize probably a staffing issue, but have coffee and water available in lobby, muffins or granola or fruit for grab and go breakfast.
My SO and I enjoyed our two nights at the Crowne Plaza Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio very much. Prompt, attentive service from personable and professional staff helped to make our stay stress-free. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a beautiful chandelier view. We booked the Date Night Package and were served chilled Brut Cava and chocolate covered strawberries in our room---delightful! The only cons were these: pool not open (Im vaccinated and am fine swimming in public spaces), no shuttle service, and our refrigerator froze everything in it. All things considered, a very nice experience.
Overall the place is super nice and the people at the front desk are pleasant but the rooms were clearly not clean. There was organic residue in the bathroom from the previous guest and the soaps were opened and used. If that’s not clean I can only imagine what else housekeeping failed to do or sanitize.
According to their front desk they dont accept chime credit cards but their website doesnt say that but it accepted my card to pay the deposit for the room tho. Front desk help was rude and didnt offer much reason as to why my card wasnt accepted overall experience 0 out of 10 wont be back again.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Crowne Plaza. We were able to check in about an hour early. Our room was clean, the bathroom was clean, but in our case a little small. We were treated with pizzazz as we handed our car over to the valet ($39.98/day, though safe), and he immediately brought out transport for our luggage. Crystal, greeted us with welcoming warmth and informative sparkle as she registered and acclimated us to our stay. First impressions are very important! Once in the room we read over others’ reviews and we were informed ahead of time of some of the things we needed to do to prepare ourselves for unforeseen things which confronted others. For example, due to Covid the pool sauna and Jacuzzi are closed, and there will be no house keeping in between the days of your stay. So you just order your towels the night before and they are delivered in a timely manner that eve, so you have them in the morning! And finally, every single employee no matter the position held, smiled was courteous, helpful and pleasant. And the location was perfect to go see shows, etc!
The staff was okay…not overly friendly but friendly enough. The room we had on the 12th floor was real nice with a great view facing Lake Erie. Due to the pandemic we were told some rooms didn’t have microwaves in them. However, when we requested both a microwave and ironing board we received them both right away. The bed was very comfortable and soft. The rooms and hotel was clean. This was my husband and I first time in Cleveland. The hotel was in a great area surrounded by different types of restaurants within walking distance. Though it was cold, the Taverns and restaurants were busy and the night life has a fun and exciting vibe. There are close by grocery and stores like CVS and Dollar General. We never had to drive any where as every place we needed was in walking distance, including the Cleveland Playhouse Square (theater).
So there were not enough wash cloths for two people. We did ask a maid for wash cloths. We were told we could get them at the front desk. The water in the shower did not drain well. 2-3 inches collected before turning off the shower. Had to step out of the shower to dry off, just to keep towel from dragging in the water. It did drain completely after a minute or two. No suitcase stand. No working clock in the room. The one that was there did not work. Yes, I know, we all have phones with the time. Just didnt want to reach over and grab it to see the time while Im in bed sleeping. A jacket is needed while waiting for elevator. Busy Cleveland event weekend (Baseball, Football, Concert). Im sure they are short staffed because of COVID. Maybe its too soon to stay at big city hotels? Checking in by the IHG app doesnt mean you dont have to check in at the hotel or even reduce the amount of time you wait checking in. Ive been to hotels where we checked in online and bypassed the front desk.
Absolutely loved the hotel! The room was gorgeous and the view was amazing!! Definitely recommend the suites with the view of Playhouse Square! The staff was very nice and helped us keep our bags safe after we checked out and went to the football game! Will definitely go back!!
Hotel is basically clean and convenient. Valets and bar staff were excellent. Front desk was surly. Housekeepers were trying but corporate policy allows cleaning only on the 3d day despite the fact that they issue only 2 towels for 2 people and provide no hooks to hang them. They issue one day of coffee pods and shampoo to last 2 people for three days and have small waste bins that are almost immediately overflowing. It is very difficult to get any assistance from the desk staff which seems to resent any request for assistance.
We were thare for 6 nights and staff, except for the front desk stadd, who ere surly, were very good. Also we had to keep asking for more coffed, shampoo, and fresh towels. I know there is still Covid around, but if facilities are going to continue limited housekeeping they have to stock the rooms better.
First time in Cleveland for business and the location was perfect. The staff is friendly and professional. The restaurant food and staff A Plus. But was not notified of the housekeeping policy of cleaning being offer only those those staying 5-days or more. When expressing my disappointment of clean towels at midnight upon a long days work, they offered immediate replacements. The following day they did a full room service. Overall B
Dear Sirs. I would like to relay the poor experience I had with your hotel.I have stayed at Numerous IHG properties but have never stayed at the Crowne Plaza. All the staff was great, very courteous and helpful.I was extremely disappointed to not have breakfast available as I am accustomed at all IHG properties. There was a restaurant next door but no vouchers for that restaurant.Along with that there was no coffee in the Lobby. The room was fine but no better than a Holiday Inn express were I typically stay twice monthly for business. The Holiday Inn Express down the street did serve breakfast in their hotel along with Coffee in the Lobby.Sorry for this email but I have been a long time member and have always enjoyed my stay.Since this was my wifes and I 35th. wedding anniversary I was looking for a special weekend.Even though It was put into the reservation your staff never mentioned our anniversary?Hope things improve for the Crown Plaza in Cleveland Ohio.Your reply would be appreciated.Sincerely,
I had the BEST night sleep 😴 but someone dropped the ball Big Time with insufficient valet service especially in the morning after checkout!!!! The one valet was hustling, doing his best but I had to wait almost an hour for him to finally retrieve my car!!! Unacceptable for such a high ranking hotel!!!! Again, the valet did his best... the Crowne needs to make that job more lucrative and attractive: increase pay, benefits, etc... There should have been at least 2 valets working especially in the morning!!! Breakfast was OK but having a make your own waffles and omelet stations would have made it better 👍😉
Hotel was fine. Valet was terrible. My car was returned with 2 large scratches through the paint. No one could help me resolve the issue and I was already late due to the long wait to have my car returned. The valet company took multiple weeks to reply to calls and emails and denies responsibility.
Positive: Location was the only plus.. young men working the valet were friendly. Front desk was NOT helpful, rooms were mediocre, especially considering the $--- a night price. *Would not stay here again.* Negative: I did not like being double charged and having mystery charges added to my card. Cost of valet parking was a bit obnoxious. Front desk was not helpful, rooms were mediocre, especially considering the $--- a night price. Would NOT stay again.
The room was nice and stage good. But that was the only good thing about it. We stayed in this room for 9 days 8 night. They did not come clean the clean after multiple request until the 5th day. We have kids and the trash was all over the room. Room smelled because of the dippers. I did not paid this much money to take out the trash and find a place to throw it away. Kids potty in bed and we had to clean it up because they did not honor our request to have the room cleaned. They gave us the sheets. So we changed sheets at 2am. When we got back to the room. No toilet paper. 1 role and when requested 1 role. Just bad over all.
The atmosphere of the hotel, as well as the staff, is nice and the rooms are very clean. We enjoyed our stay for Valentines weekend. However, upon leaving, we had an issue with valet that to date has not been addressed. We called the service before we left our room to come downstairs and they said it would only be 15 to 20 minutes. We ordered take-out breakfast from Yours Truly (next door), and came down to check out. The checkout area and waiting (for valet) area was pretty busy. So we picked up our breakfast and coffees and waiting outside for our car. A half-hour later, the outside area had cleared out and we were still standing, in the very cold February Cleveland weather. We addressed the valet manager and decided to go back into the warmth with the assurance our car would be ready soon. We watched the outside lobby area clear out and we were still standing. An hour and 15 minutes had passed, and our coffee and breakfast were cold. I went (back) to the front desk and a very nice lady took my name and number and said that it would be given to the valet service manager as a complaint about follow-up. Our car finally came, but its now March and no one has ever called or emailed and offered to pay for the cold coffee! The valet service costs $37 per night and, of course, we were charged for both nights.
We have been staying here for years for the Tri-City Jazz Fest and just love the location, service, comfy rooms and the lounge. However, they get only 3 stars this time because of valet. For almost $40 a night my car was parked outside and my back window was left down, hope it wasnt left down while it rained, because there were tons of leaves on the back seat. We werent able to really talk to anyone about it, so Im saying it here. Hope this wont be an issue the next time we visit.
There was close to nothing that we liked. The valet -- which I understand its a third-party service-- scratched our car and will cost our insurance over $5,000. Even though it is a third-party service, the hotel handled it very poorly. The management was completely unprepared for this type of situation. There was little assistance or effort to make us feel comfortable while dealing with paperwork and waiting for the police. Also, during our check-in, the receptionist did not give us the Welcome Bag which was a gift from the bride and groom since we only stayed there because it was their wedding. We booked chandelier suite which has absolutely nothing special for the price charged. My husband and I travel across the world and we are platinum members of other hotel chains. We know what goos looks like and that is not Crowne Plaza.
I was somewhat disappointed with my recent stay at this location. While the hotel was beautiful and very clean, the phone in my room did not work properly, the water pressure in the bathroom was awful and made a high pitched squeaking noice when it was turned on, and worst of all the water was barely luke warm; taking a shower was almost painful. I made three very reasonable requests over the course of my stay to the front desk, all three were denied and I was hung up on twice. The location of this property is great, I guess I just expected more from this brand. On a side note, the waitress who served us dinner at the event we were attending was exceptional; maybe the most attentive and kindest service I have ever had.
Was upset the bar was opened till 1 am. But for it to be open employees must pay attention to people sitting in the bar.We stayed there because it was next to the theater. Was told the restaurant and bar was open 5pm to 1am.We sat for 20 mins at a table after the show.Noone was in there except us. We saw a couple employees walk in and out of the kitchen with no acknowledgement.Get dressed up to go see a play. Was looking forward to dinner and drinks after words in the hotel, to having pizza sent via Grubhub.July 4th weekend was when we stayed.
Yes Im one of those cost conscience travelers. And as they say you get what you pay for. This property was clean, comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. There is a coffee machine in the room but no fridge. And our rooms were supplied with only one towel and wash cloth. We had two people per room so we had to call down for additional towels. Which were promptly delivered overall, we had a great stay
Despite the well-known reputation of this gorgeous hotel right in downtown Cleveland on Playhouse Square, our experience was incredibly lacking, if not unsatisfactory. Not only did we wait 2 hours to get into our room because it was apparently not in the system and there was a wedding party block checking in, our room itself did not even have a shower curtain. When I called the front desk at 11 pm after our dinner to ask for literally a towel and a washcloth, I was told they were out for the evening. So four women including myself all shared the bath mat towel to wash our face and dry our hands. I dont think I will ever go back to this establishment.
My overall stay was great! We stayed overnight after the dinner detective show. The staff were very friendly from front desk to valet. The rooms were clean spacious and modern. We had a small issue with our bathroom sink but chose not to complain since we were only there one night. I would recommend to friends ana family.
Positive: Great location, within walking distance to all of downtown. Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Unlimited Valet was also nice. Negative: Parking fee is a little high, $37 per night, but with unlimited use of the valet service plus overnight parking, it was worth it. Also, the hotel room service never came to the room to clean anything throughout my two night stay.
The Staff and Valet were very friendly and great help with questions. The hotel was very clean. It was a great location, we could get to every where we wanted to visit within a 15 min car drive. So many places in walking distance to visit. The Restaurant in the hotel had great food and the staff was very friendly.
Arrival, appearance and initial cleanliness of the room was great. Staff very polite. Location in Cleveland is amazing. However, the hot water from the tap was scalding (thank god we left our young kids at home) and then we had *no housekeeping* for the entirety of the 3 night stay! I’ve never experienced anything like it. The first day I thought it was a fluke, but the second day I started calling the front desk at noon to request a room cleaning and it never happened until MIDNIGHT (called 3x between 11pm and 12am). I cannot understand what the excuse could have been. We were gone for most of the day with wedding activities, only briefly stopping
We had to wait in line for about 30 minutes on a Saturday night due to there only being 1 employee there. IUnderstand that everyone is short staffed but then teach the IT person who was standing there how toCheck people in. After that debacle we went upstairs and wanted to shower before our plans that evening. There were NO towels! We called downstairs and they told us there wouldn’t be any clean towels until Sunday at 8am!!! I have traveled quite a bit in my life and I have NEVER been told I could have towels on top of that our toilet was running none stop. We asked to switch rooms and they said no, so we had to turn our toilet off. We ended upLeaving at 6am the next morning! I have never had such terrible service or stay at a hotel! We have tried contact the manager and he will not respond! Thanks for almost ruining our 5th anniversary.
For the Crowne Plaza hotel being a 3 1/2 star hotel, there were great things, good things, and a few that were subpar. Well start off with the great. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of Cleveland. Not too far from the RocknRoll HOF and the city pier where you could go see Lake Erie. You could tell if we were here for a show, an NFL/MLB/NBA game, or a play this could be a fun place to spend the night. There are several places for food/coffee not too far away within walking distance of the hotel which was awesome. The staff were so nice, it was our anniversary and everyone at the hotel from the front desk clerk to the guy parking cars were so nice. The concierge I think his name was Alex, the man was so helpful and kind. Got our bags even though we didnt ask him to. Got us a few extra towels and told us a few things about the hotel and city as helpful tips. The hotel atmosphere inside the hotel and our room was fantastic as well. We booked a king bedroom with a premium view of the city and even though we didnt have the best view of the city it was still fun to be on the top floor of the hotel. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is a very nice looking building, you could tell Crowne Plaza has good standards for cleanliness of the building and grounds my wife and I were very impressed. The good things about Crowne Plaza were the quiet hallways at night, the bathroom felt spacious and it even had a nightlight built into the light switch was nice, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were very nice. Though a bit pricey ($37 a night) the hotel had valet parking with unlimited in/out privileges. The furniture in the room was comfortable as well. Considering all of those things I just mentioned if you decided to stay at the hotel you would be very happy. However, there were a few things my wife and found to be unacceptable. We understand that rooms arent cleaned every day because of COVID and we also understand that not every hotel has the staff to clean rooms every day either. Totally get that, were not unreasonable people. Our biggest issue was that every day we had to ask for towels. The first day we didnt because the concierge took care of us but after that, if we wanted them wed either have to call and ask or visit the front desk which I was told there was a clean towel shortage? True or not I still expect that I wouldnt have to beg for new towels every day. My wife and I contemplated going to the local Walmart to buy some towels. So just beware. Also, the room had very poor air circulation. We had the room set as cold as it would go, after coming back from the city which was hot and humid all weekend youd think the room would be cool right? Nope. Ive stayed at lesser places that could freeze you out. The toilet almost overflowed on us, I had to have someone plunge it as I do not want to be the one responsible for poop all over the floor.Overall Id give this hotel a 3.5 out of 5 and a solid B rating. Some of the issues that I mentioned I think are very fixable and theres no reason why this hotel cant be a true 3 1/2 star to 4 star kind of place.
My wife and I live locally and this was our first hotel adventure since the pandemic. They were extremely accommodating and I had the date night package which I ordered strawberries and champagne to be delivered at 8:00 p.m. and a knock on my door came at exactly 8:00 p.m. The room was very clean and we had an amazing view of Lake Erie and playhouse square. Guest services was extremely friendly and accommodating. Amazing experience!
Crown Plaza has no free parking so I had to park at an expensive garage to be close to the hotel. I was unable to enjoy some of the amenities offered typically by the hotel because of the pandemic, however, there were some base amenities that were lacking in this hotel which for the price and majesty of the building ought to be expected/provided to the reserved party. For one, I was appalled there was no kitchenette in the room. My plan was to go to the grocery store and make food in the hotel, good thing I arrived first to look over the room because there is no minifridge or microwave, no storage for food anywhere. So I bought food from a local eatery and couldnt store it in a fridge or warm it up later and had to leave it sitting just below my TV.I frequently like to drink some cold ice water to help my condition, but there is no easy access ice machine, so I went to vending the room was stripped completely empty, nothing to drink or eat. I had to go down to the first floor with a cup in my hand to get a small cup of ice. This took 20 minutes because one reserved couple was having rather obnoxious argument with a staff member Michael, who was just trying to relax them down and deal with the situation. I waited patiently with a cup in my hand to get some ice. The reserving party tried to pull me into the conversation but I wanted no part of it, at the time I was enjoying my stay fairly well just from the impeccable marbling and design of the hotel. I really enjoyed the service I needed it, but the problem was I needed service so often, and I dont mean to be a pest or bothersome. So I only asked for Ice for my cup one time, after seeing the front was understaffed I drank water from the sink after that.At checkout I was very surprised to see my rate for my second night was ridiculously much higher than the first.I like to leave good reviews, please, dont create a setting where I have to report a bad experience.
Positive: Absolutely nothing. Negative: The staff was rude. We had an issue with our room. They moved us to a smaller room and considered it comparable. The rooms were dirty. Other guests had loud music playing and yelling. I asked the hotel to take care of that as my children needed rest.
Positive: The room was very nice, clean, and modern. Could use a fridge and microwave in the rooms though. Other than that, the room was lovely. Negative: I was not happy that we took a family trip and was not informed the pool was closed. The only reason we even found out the pool wasn¿t available is because I asked. There was not a sign a posted and nothing website indicating that.
Used this room for our wedding weekend as well as many of our guests. Several guests had no towels and or toilet paper in their room. They would request towels staff would say they would be up soon and never came. Housekeeper walked right into our room without knocking. One of our guests was unable to check in and the desk clerk was unprofessional and rude. Guest was told room was ready for them and walked into a room with an unmade bed and garbage still in the room. Was told there was vendor parking only to find out wedding morning that there was no such thing, even though we had called and confirmed. Was told there was nobody higher then the general manager to bring complaints to. Was given the card for the GM and was told to call Monday he would be in at 8am, called he was not in.
Positive: I like the location and the connectivity to all of the amazing venues in downtown Cleveland. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was cleaned, updated and modern. Negative: Not having an ice machine on the same floor, I had to go to another floor to retrieve ice. The hotel didnt provide daily cleaning services, but maybe this was due to COVID-19 which I completely understand. Daily parking rate is too high.
We live 35 miles from downtown Cleveland, but wanted a hotel stay so we could go out for dinner, casino and drinks without having to worry about getting home safe. We booked online. No surprises with pricing or availability. Awesome check in, and valet ($37 with in/out privileges). Super clean, modern room. Very comfortable bed and down pillows. Ample hot water for our two long showers. A great experience.
My wife and I loved this hotel. The location was perfect. The bed and pillows were heaven. Our room with a view was outstanding. The hotel staff was amazing and so friendly. We did not get to try breakfast, the bar/lounge or restaurant d/t Covid, but hope to come back!
The location of the Crowne Plaza in Cleveland was excellent- we were able to walk to all of our destinations- and the price was right. The staff was also kind and responsive, and obviously passionate about customer service (even with some short-staffing, they made things work!). Lastly, the beds- oh my gawd! So comfortable! Like fluffy clouds of comfort! I was well rested, but the only struggle I had at the Crowne Plaza was finding any motivation to leave that bed.
My husband and I booked and stayed here for a quick socially distanced weekend trip without the kids. We loved the location. The staff was friendly and informative. I wish we were informed of a incidentals hold when I made the reservation, but it was quickly refunded at check out. The room was clean, had nice views, cute furniture, and the bed was super comfy. The only thing I wish the room had was a mini fridge and microwave. We were unable to use the hotel amenities because of closures due to covid-19, but we hope to return in the near future and get the full experience. It was overall a great stay!
I stayed just one night and was there for an event, at the hotel. So, I can’t say anything about the location of the hotel and its ease of seeing local attractions. If I wasn’t taking Covid precautions, I would say my stay was typical for a one night stay at a good hotel. The lobby, hallways, bathrooms, and guest rooms were all clean. The valet parking was easy and quick. The staff were friendly.
Positive: This hotel has a super downtown location. Staff were friendly. Mostly residentia nearby. Except a few blocks, easy waking distance are ball parks, the theater district, and Cleveland State Negative: A bit of a lack of places to eat and drink nearby when you leave the hotel. Also, hardly any stores nearby, just one. And NO mini fridge in room.
Positive: Great location in Playhouse Square. Plenty of food and bars in walking distance. Clean room. Amazing view! Very friendly staff. Negative: Valet parking is $40 and it took close to 15 minutes to get our car the morning we left. I think $40 is very high. Construction of some sort going on around 745am, was very loud.
We liked the hotel. Our room was clean. It was quiet (after dark). People were courteous and helpful. It was conveniently located for walking about downtown. Room 908 has a not too bad view of the lake, neighboring roofs and the theatre district, FYI. We also thought it was reasonably priced.
Really great location. Beautiful views. You are in the middle of downtown Cleveland. Really central location. Only downside is the $37 valet charge. Would be great if they offered some sort of free parking. Unfortunately you will have to pay anywhere you go. I just think $37 is a little overpriced. I do not need someone parking for me. I’d rather do it myself and pay $15-20. Besides that everything was great.
The hotel was in a great location and the room had a great layout with a nice view od cleveland. Security was good. However it seemed some of the other guest were having some hallway party and there was some dust in the room and a bundle of hair in the bathroom, which led me to question the cleanliness. All in all it was a Saturday night so i understand the party. It was a really positive experience and the staff was great. Biggest problem is the parking if you have a personal vehicle as there is no parking garage that is convenient and easily accessible.
King family suite for 4. Only had 2 towels and one roll of toilet paper, and only decaf K-Cups. Had to ask for what should be basic amenities. Room was never cleaned, towels never replaced, or garbage removed. Bar service was atrocious, bartender didn’t have a clue how to make a drink or where certain were. Covid is no excuse either, there were 4 people at the bar. The only positive was the Keurig machine, a lot better than those cheap hotel coffee pots.
Hard bath towels.Could hear others running shower and going to rest room. Not information friendly.Desk clerks would forget request easily. Charge me for parking and my driver and we rode together. No adult space for drinking.I put my towels in hallway and they were picked up but room wasnt clean nor no new towels left.
On the second night of my stay, I called the front desk asking for more large bath towels and another set of was cloths. The towels in the room were not replaced after the first night and when my wife and I arrived back to our room late after a day out we called at 10:55 PM and asked for more large bath towels and small wash cloths. We were told by the lady who answered at the front desk it would be a few minutes but she would get the towels we requested delivered to our room shortly. An hour and 20 minutes go by and no towels. I went down stairs to the front dest where an African American gentleman and a woman were at the front desk. I told the gentleman who referred to himself as the night auditor that I had called now close to an hour and a half for towels and no one responded. He told me he would get me what ever towels he had behind the desk but I would have to wait longer for anymore towels. When he came back all he had were 4 small hand towels. We needed large bath towels to shower, but he said that’s the best he can do.This is acceptable if your at an Econo Lodge or a Days Inn but not a Crown Plaza. What troubled me the most was he did not seem to care what so ever that we did not have any towels in the room. Nor did he offer to go get some bath towels and bring them to me so I could take them to the room. IHG, you can’t blame this in COVID 19, it’s poor service especially for a fundamental item like bath towels. Not to mention the attitude from your employee who could care less about your customers.I am a long time IHG member and the service and attitude we experienced this weekend, October 8th - 10th, 2021 Room 501 was inexcusable.
We had stayed the night prior at the holiday inn down the street and valet parking was approx $10 cheaper. The staff was extremely helpful upon check in, however the room was less than desirable but the staff and manager was very responsive to fix. there was objects in the bathroom that had not been cleaned on and below the counters. TV remote was inop and the ordering food to be delivered the valet felt obligated to ask the delivery if we had tipped him. Not sure why that is their area to monitor. Will not be returning.
From parking to the front desk, the staff was courteous and helpful, especially with recommendations of places in the area where specialty food and drinks could be acquired. The room had only towels for one person when we arrived but the desk provided additional upon request.
We held my daughters wedding at this facility and i cant say enough good things about the employees, facility and location. Joy at the front desk, Chad and the staff at the reception and Mr Alex (the everything man) went above and beyond to give us an experience to remember. Thanks All.
Room is solid-ish. Sadly we did find the bathroom soap, shampoo, conditioner to have the last peoples hairs on them and under the caps. Called the front desk and they redid the bathroom. But then only 2 large towels for a family room ... large bed and a bunk bed set up. and we were to tired to call down again.I did find the last visitors? Trash left over by the coffee machine... so yeah againValet parking they wanted 37 bucks a night... 10 bucks more than 2 blocks down the street.I wouldnt recommend this hotel at this rate . We travel a lot and these were easily noticed and fixable :(Edited: we ordered in from a restaurant. My husband went down to the street to pick it up and the valet guy leaned over and asked the driver if he was tipped?! Out of line.
Ive had a reservation since last all star game, its been close to a year since I made this reservation and all of a sudden as the All Star Game gets close your computers made a mistake and my reservation is invalid. Now, months later when Ill NEVER be able to get another hotel in downtown Cleveland for all star weekend, you tell me you can put me in Middleburg Heights or Westlake. The only reason I wanted a hotel was to be DOWNTOWN for that particular weekend. I had plans and other reservations based around me being in downtown Cleveland. You know how hard its going to be to find parking all weekend when all I had to do was stay parked and Uber everywhere? This is ridiculous, and this sounds really suspicious that there wasnt a computer error months ago but during the holiday season all of a sudden theres one from months ago. My whole weekend is ruined now. Thanks a lot. I dont want an alternate hotel thats not downtown, I want the hotel room I reserved. If I cant have that, just cancel my booking. You all just pushed us Cleveland natives out for these people who will never come to the city again after all star weekend. Ill remember this
Crowne Plaza Playhouse Square was a great hotel to stay in during my isolation vacation. The staff was very accommodating and friendly during my stay. When I ventured out in the cold Cleveland streets, they always warmly welcomed me back in. Every food delivery, was right there waiting, the front desk staff knew exactly who I was. The bed was amazingly comfortable, if I could I would have taken the pillows home with me. I loved everything about this hotel. It was quiet, clean, safe, and in a great location. Id come back to Cleveland just to stay in this hotel again.
Positive: Clean, great location and early check in and late checkout. Negative: There is NO lake view. I paid more and called the hotel directly to confirm. I looked at the top of buildings. There is no glimpse of lake. We were put on a floor with a wedding party. We were woke at 12:30 a.m. and made 5 calls to the desk 7ntil 4:30 a.m
Great hotel and great location. But valet was an absolute nightmare. We waited over an hour to retrieve our car, which caused us to miss our booked activities for that morning, which we got charged for. When we returned we dropped off the car, and it sat outside for over 2 hours until getting parked. When we brought this issue to the front desk, we were told it was a 3rd party and there was nothing they could do for us. We wasted our morning waiting for our car, got charged for our activities, and then it sat out for hours. This was the service we received for $37 a day for parking.
I enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Since we were going to show across the street at the Playhouse Square the location was execellent. Staff was friendly and informative, shuttle van very convenient for close trips. The fitness center was well equipped and clean as was the pool/ hot tub area. Both could have used more towels.Breakfast was OK but a bit expensive. We got the buffet due to waitresses recommendation as it was a better value than ordering off the menu. Room was nice, clean, quiet. Toiletries and coffee were basic, plastic and paper cups. Lighting was good for reading. The desk was fine but table very small and one lounge and one desk chair - no fridge. Room as advertised.I would visit again for a quick stay in town. Nothing special if youre looking for a romantic or luxury experience.
Positive: Location. Staff is as attentive with any issues. Negative: Had to wait 40 minutes after check-in time only to end up by the elevator. The air didn¿t work properly. The first night, Someone was pounding to get into a room every hour from 3am-5am. No info was offered on Hotel amenities/ restaurant
Staff was very inappropriate. One of the staff members was very inappropriate to my wife and made some comments that was unacceptable. My wife went up to the room and cried I did address the issue to the staff the staff was not helpful . In fact they made things worse it was one of the worst experience is if not the worst experience I’ve ever had I travel a lot for business and pleasure, all over the United States and this was the worst hotel I have ever encountered I would not recommend this to anybody
The hotel will change your room choice without notifying you. The front desk person did not notify me of the change. I did not find out until I entered my room that I have been changed from a Chandelier Suite to a standard room. Very poor customer service! The ice machine on my floor did not work and two of the three light bulbs in the bathroom were blown. They do have quality control issues.
I have stayed at this location before and always have had a very good experience. However, this stay was very important and the staff made the difference for me. From the front desk to the bell man to the valet, everything was first rate. I had clients in for a very important business meeting and the accommodations played a roll in a first rate experience.
We have stayed here several times as we have a child at college up the street. Never any issues and the location perfect. The valet parking is higher than other hotels though they are quick to retrieve the cars. I’d love to see that change. Beds are comfortable, pillows a little too fat for me, but very clean room. We will stay again..
Nice friendly staff. Hotel wasn’t so great. Small room, there wasn’t a mini refrigerator. So it didn’t make for a kid friendly stay. The bathroom door was broken. The tv only got a few channels. It snowed while we were there and the sidewalk was not cleaned off. The parking was awful. As I said in the beginning the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I surprised my fiancé with a weekend stay in downtown Cleveland for his birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Crown Plaza extended their welcome as if we were family. Every person was friendly, professional, and attentive to our needs. The hotel was in pristine condition, and we thoroughly appreciated the cleanliness in such troubling times of a global pandemic. I would recommend my friends and family to stay here a hundred times over. We had a blast being tourists in our hometown city, and can’t wait for our next stay at Crown Plaza.
We had an excellent stay. The bellman, valet, and shuttle drivers were timely and courteous. We were upgraded to a room with bunk beds for the kids. Weve never seen such a room in a hotel before! The pool was a good temperature for the middle of December. Great location near the heart of downtown.
This is a fantastic hotel. We had a wedding to attend in the nearby vacinity and couldnt have picked a better place to stay. It was vault-like quiet in the room; We never heard any exterior noise. The decor was updated and modern. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. The staff was beyond friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall it was one of the best places we have stayed.
Worst hotel experience ever and I didn’t even get the chance to stay at this hotel. I booked two nights for 08/27/21 and 08/28/21 through Expedia. I received a confirmation email when I booked and an email a few days before my stay further confirming my booking. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told by front desk staff that my booking was canceled. I was initially led to believe that my booking was canceled by Expedia, so I spent over an hour on the phone with Expedia only to find out that my booking through them was still active and it was actually canceled by the hotel. The hotel apparently had a water main break and was unable to fulfill some reservations due to this issue. However, I was not notified of this prior to arriving nor when I had issues checking in. I simply received a completely unapologetic, “someone was supposed to call you”. If this was a known problem, why didn’t front desk staff alert me instead of suggesting that I waste my time calling Expedia to fix the issue with my booking? Next, the hotel offered a comped room (only for one night and I was expected to rebook my 2nd night and “figure it out” last minute) at a hotel several miles away in Independence, OH. The offered room was in no way comparable to the room that I had originally booked. More importantly, I booked a hotel in downtown Cleveland in order to spend time in the downtown area with a friend that was visiting from out of state, so offering a hotel well out of the downtown area after canceling my booking with no notice, isn’t an acceptable solution. I tried to call back to the hotel and talk to the front desk manager to see about getting a more comparable room, but she “wasn’t available”. At that point, it was clear that the Crowne Plaza wasn’t going to do anything to correct their mistake, so we ended up just booking another room at another downtown hotel. This was an extremely frustrating and unnecessary experience that was made even worse by extremely poor customer service and non-existent communication by hotel staff. This issue was in no way handled or addressed appropriately.
Great location, service was ok. I was very concerned our reservation was cancelled because the agent at the front said the hotel had declined our request. It was only until his manager clarified that they couldnt print some documents we requested... besides thatThere is no parking, no breakfast and no water bottles. The thing that really made our stay worth while was the incredibly comfortable bed.
My reservation that I placed a month in advance was messed up significantly and the receptionist just blamed the reservation line. Apparently the reservation line doesnt understand what rooms have what amenities so when you call to book they just tell you whatever I did get a room, so that was a good thing, but the hotel just felt like it was barley functioning. Restaurant not open(even though I was told it was), ran out of bath towels, and could write my name in the dust that was in the room,,,??? COVID cleaning really??? I get we are all still trying to function in this new covid world, but if you want people to come back out and stay at your hotel you have to do better Crown Plaza. I did ask for some compensation or reward credit(yes Im a rewards member for staying a lot, at least in the past anyway...)
Very nice physical plant, very comfortable beds, make sure to visit the gem of a patio overlooking Playhouse Square.Night clerk Michael is a rock star....theyd better be sure he doesnt get poached by even more premium hotels. Day clerk was a dud - declined a late check out on a slow Sunday (we only do this for IHG members, not Priceline - good to know), had to ask her to unlock the patio that Michael told us about. Also small gripe - no soap provided, only a small bottle of body wash. Good luck making that work for multiple guests, let alone washing your hands.
Our stay was great from start to finish. The young lady at valet parking was sweet and accommodating to us. The front desk were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had comfortable beds. The restaurant staff, they had wonderful sangria and delicious food Check out was a breeze and everyone was very friendly and helpful in the front lobby. Loved our stay at the Crown in Cleveland.
The bathroom consisted of one towel and washcloth, also it had no shower curtain which made the floor wet and slippery. We also had no ice bucket in our room. We called and they were going to bring the ice bucket right up but could not bring up the towels for about an hour as they were being washed and dried. Wouldn’t they have already been cleaned for us as we already had a reservation? Had to call back as we received nothing in well over an hour. They forgot. Now mind you my boyfriend let me shower and waited for his towel and washcloth which I thought was ridiculous. The kind woman at the desk did take 25 off my bill but this never should have happened period.
The staff was very nice and welcoming. With business being down so much its easy for workers to get restless and tired of standing around all day but I didnt get that from the staff at this hotel. They still made sure all my needs were meet and were very nice and accommodating.
This was my 2nd time staying at this Crowne Plaza. I enjoyed the big corner room. For this hotel to be in such a central location you would expect exceptional cleanliness and updates as the bathrooms are a drab and I had really bad furnace issues in my initial room. Thank goodness they have an amazing staff because I would’ve left and went somewhere else. Also as expensive as valet is the wait is always long even when calling ahead.
I was in Cleveland for business but I had my 13-year-old daughter and her friend with me. Although the hotel is not located in the best location to find things to do for 13 year-old children it was in a safe and desirable neighbourhood. We decided to do valet as we drove up as there’s no apparent parking to someone who doesn’t know the area. The guys at the valet were very accommodating and kind. Check-in was easy and although when we got to our room there was only one king size bed and we had reserved a room with two beds the front desk staff took no less than two minutes to fix that and we were in our rooms. Our room was a great size the beds were probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and the pillows even better. We did find it cool at night and there was only a light blanket and sheet on our bed but that didn’t take away from an awesome sleep. The bathrooms were super clean and well taken care of the shower tub combo was clean and water pressure great. When we arrived in the room we found a little package on our bed with a lavender spray and a face cleansing wipe which is super awesome. We had the chance to use the restaurant one evening around 10 o’clock for a late dinner and the food was awesome and the service is great. The girls used the pool and thought it was perfect along with the sauna, it was nice as well. Lots of towels down there for our use as well. There is an incredible little tiny coffee place across the street at the corner it’s called Copper Moon we started each day there. Best almond milk hazelnut latte we’ve ever had. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there if we are ever in town again. And I highly recommend this hotel.
Attended a murder mystery dinner last night at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland Playhouse Square and it was wonderful! The hotel team was very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, the drinks creative and reasonably priced and the performance group was able to engage the group despite COVID masks and regulations. We felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed the performance and dining experience - would highly recommend.
The front desk staff and concierge are first rate. Super friendly, professional and accommodating. By our 4th night they felt like family. Loved the fitness room. Great quality equipment and super clean. The room was spacious, good lighting, decent view. The bed a little lumpy and would prefer glassware rather than the plastic cups. Otherwise, super clean and very nice place to stay in a great location.
Friendly service the rooms are nice the standard rooms dont have refrigerators and the hot tub wasnt working which was the main reason we choose to stay here. Usb hook ups throughout the room is awesome and the lighting on the bed post is very convenient. I felt the food is over priced for what you get. Me and my wife ordered a pizza for $16 when it came out it looked as if it came out of a box not fresh made to order as stated on there menu the sauce needed help tasted like it was straight out of a can with no seasoning added. Overall my experience here was good I would come back

2022-07-05We enjoyed our stay at the Crown Plaza in Downtown. The area was very nice and we felt safe walking to places near us. We took advantage of the beautiful day and walked the 15 minutes to the Cleveland Pier and Roll Hall of Fame. We requested a room with a view of Lake Erie which we got. Lake Erie was in the distance and was worth the few extra bucks for the room. The first night our air conditioner stopped working. We called the front desk around 10:30 pm and they immediately sent a maintenance worker to look at it. Unfortunately, he wasnt able to fix it as it was a large job, so we were given a new room down the hall. The rooms were spacious and our stay on the 14th floor was quiet. The staff, especially the front desk and valet were super friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

Very friendly, informative and helpful as well.Shauna in the Restaurant was the same, she was very helpful, and even took a min of her time to just chat. All of the staff were very nice and I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling that way. We will be back!(They deserve raises!)

2022-06-20Positive: The room and bathroom were spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Negative: Yes, the staff were lukewarm, the concierge started out warm but it went down from there. I understand COVID protocols but the common courtesy of towels and linen were not offered. Parking was not and you had to valet park. Breakfast was not good or free.

2022-01-30Great location, amazing staff, nice rooms! My only disappointment was the breakfast. What they charge $15 for, other hotels offer for their free continental breakfast. For a paid breakfast, I would liked to have seen something different.

2021-11-28This property was cheap, and you get what you pay for. Upon check-in we were never let inside by an employee even though we rang the bell several times and waited probably 10 minutes. Luckily, a guest came into the lobby with his key and let us go in with him. Once we finally got checked in we got up to the top floor where our room was and our keys didn’t work so back down we went with all of the kids and got a set of keys that worked. Once inside the room everything was clean enough there was a separate area with bunkbeds for the kids and their own TV and table which they loved. The bed seemed clean the bathroom hadSome hairs in the tub which I found pretty offputting and had to clean out on my own. The hot water would not work the night we checked in and we let it run for a very long time… The next morning it was working. The pool was closed for maintenance. No one mentioned this to me at all upon booking and my kids were very disappointed. The valet guys were very nice and friendly and fast! But for such a crummy hotel to charge $40 a night I thought it was a little bit high. Those are the prices I usually pay in a big city. Overall we were just very underwhelmed with the property and the staff but for the price you get what you pay for
