Office representatives are not professional and actually very rude. Apartment isn’t falling apart but the place was not cleaned when I moved in and the floors were recently stripped and not finished, they look terrible. Listing said washer and dryer was included-then was told it wasn’t and had to quickly find a set myself. Fought with the realtor company countless times about getting the water bill in my name and they didn’t until the bill was severely passed due and during this pandemic no one has the money to immediately pay a $400 bill all at once.
We were bought out by this company never was introduced to the owner or even spoke with him and within one month of them buying out our triplexes he raised everyone’s rent $ 195 a month! Not to mention this is during a pandemic and we’re all just trying to get by with what we were already paying there staff and owner only care about money I also found Maintance to be rude. I would highly recommend not renting from crossroads management.
My experience wasn’t bad at first, even tho the day right after I signed my lease they bought the apartments. My friend told me that I’m in for trouble but I just tried not to think about that until I came & looked at the reviews.Maintenance takes FOREVER to fix things, AT FIRST they came in a timely manner for little things...not to mention one of them stays in the same apartments & they still took weeks to fix things. It took them 4 weeks 2 maintenance men to fix something & they didn’t even fix that right. Just goofy as hell I mean I could have fixed it better.The office is rude as hell for no reason and every time you ask for a manager they act like they can’t put her on the phone, except for the black girl, she’s sweet & works with you the best idk her name ...the rest need to improve how to talk to people, because they already suck at least be nice to us 🙄.
Okay i had to edit/ make a new review because i am so disappointed at this point. my little family& i have lived in a cross roads rental property for a few years now& we have had nothing but problems.the first issue we came across was when we first moved in. we got a little fire pit as a gift. the fire pit had a protective cover that was ruined by the lawn care crew. it was weed whacked& it looked like they tried to tuck it in to hide it. the second problem we stumbled across was our kitchen sick. it SHOCKED me. like an electric shock. i made a call. they said someone would come out. called again. they said someone would come out. called a third time. they said they would send someone out. after a week of this, a family friend of mine brought the fire marshal over. there was an electrical charge going through our sink because all of the wires under the sink were not up to code. the fire marshal gave me paper work to give to them. so i made yet another call& told them. the only thing they did was take out my garbage disposal& disregarded everything that wasn’t up to code. next. our toilet for almost a month wouldn’t stop running. again. i called a number of times before anyone even came out. it was running so much that the water bill was $200 alone!!!!! another issue we have had is flooding/ leaking. EVERYTHING HERE LEAKS. the bathroom leaks down into the laundry room. half of the pipes in the laundry room leak& we have had to fix them ourself. oh not to mention the time the drain got so backed up it flooded BOTH units of the twinplex. not to mention the amount of BLACK mold in both units bathrooms.even today. i made a call because a pipe was leaking in the laundry room. it’s been leaking for a few days now. i assumed it was our broken washer until i moved it out. it was for sure a pipe. whoever answered told me that there’s no way it was a pipe it had to be because i moved the washer& it was leaking. i called three times today. the leak went from a steady drip to a running leak. it flooded into the kitchen. it was so much water it was flooding out the back door. but it was just the old washer i moved right. but don’t you worry, we fixed that ourself too, because it wasn’t a priority, they said.oh don’t forget how the manager of the company a few months ago cussed at me, told me if i don’t like the rules to just buy my own house& hung up on me, all over a swimming pool in our yard.don’t rent from them. it’s not worth it. my neighbor just moved out, they put a for rent sign up in the yard & i haven’t seen anyone in to clean the unit yet. renting with out cleaning anything. yikes.
This reality company is VERY unprofessional. In January 2017, the basement wall of my house caved in and collapsed. When this happened, it took them 2 1/2 weeks to finish fixing the damage, leaving myself and my roommate without a home. When we were finally able to move back into the house the crew left behind mud, dirt, debris, old used tarps, and a mound of rocks and dirt in the back yard. The crew not only took all of the light bulbs from our home and didnt replace them, but tracked mud through the whole house and left feces in our toilet and on the toilet seat!!! When the crew was working on the house they left the door unlocked and wide open for anyone to walk in and take our belongings.We paid our rent on time every month for 3 years! After we gave our 30 day notice and moved out we got a bill for $1,400! They charged us for miscellaneous expenses...they charged us $25 for a missing toilet paper holder....ARE YOU SERIOUS? all of the wear and tear from the house could have definitely been covered by our security deposit.In conclusion, this reality company may have cheap rental properties, but you will always struggle to get the things you need and be charged an arm and a leg after you moved out for no reason.THE RUDEST PEOPLE work there as well. All around bad experience renting from Crossroads.
Our garage door opener was broken which took two months to fix. Our drain was clogged, which they addressed 3 times by cleaning the hair out of the top (of course didn’t fix it). Once overheard a screaming match in the office when I turned in rent. Upon move out, we charged for all kinds of ridiculous things including, wait for it, THE DRAIN WE HAD CALLED ABOUT SEVERAL TIMES. We were charged for a broken outlet that was on our move-in list. “Clean walls, carpets & mop” is apparently worth $190 (we didn’t have carpet in our unit lol). Lastly, the charges from our security deposit said “please address issues within 10 days of the above date.” Dated 8/16. We received it in the mail 8/30. This company is a joke.UPDATE: After emailing, the company reduced our charges by $90, so have updated my review from 1-Star to 2-stars
This is the information for those who wait for the security check refund when Moving out. First, they did not inform anything when I sent a notice to move. I asked any instruction or guide, but a rep told over the phone we will handle. Yes they handled as below,1. 10missing bulbs: $20, I was sure 3-4 bulbs need to replace, but they counted 10.2. Carpet damage, $250; I lived the townhouse for 10years, and kept asking carpet replacement. No one replied.3. 4broken outlets: $204. Cleaning stove, refrigerator, toilet, bathtub, floor and window: $295. We cleaned them all for 2days before moving out.If you wait for the check or consider to move in the property, please know what I had to pay.
I left this horrible management company 1yr and half ago and it was the best decision ever. Dont rent from any of their properties, even commercial. I also worked in one of the buildings they owned, when the roof collapsed, after being warned that it wasnt safe, it took them 4 months to get it fixed properly. (Still not safe to walk in certain places.)
Places are beautiful but when it comes to having maintenence done to your home, or someone to fix things good luck on getting someone to come out.. you move in and then they kind of dont care about nothing but your money. I do have to give it to Christine she makes sure she takes care of things and recently has got things took care of for us.. Thank you Christine!!!
Would have given negative stars if possible. Told I was denied because of background check didnt come through. Im sure they are charging owners for this. I have never been in trouble with law this is how i know they are scamming owners and renters. Then offered me one of their places to rent.... so glad Im Not dealing with this joke.
This is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with, they told me the house I was renting was “move in ready” with dirty walls, floors, carpets, rooms with paint spots all over them, one wall had a spot painted with a completely different color, the house smelled like a dog, the basement still had dog piss in it, the cupboards had grease and dirt all over and the inside of them, the dish washer was full of old water dirt and mold, they are rude to you on the phone they refused to do anymore work on the house or take any money off my rent for the work I did at the house, then tell me my standards are too high for what they do. The whole Operation is a joke. Wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to rent off these scam artist. They don’t even deserve one star they deserve to be shut down or fined.
Terrible place to live... lots of break ins. Property is managed by maintenance who have keys to anyone place that can enter at any time their office is located in akron where you must go to pay your rent they dont accept payment aside from cash or certified money order management is terrible and disorganized. Was contacted by several different people regarding issues due to miss filing in or them not keeping track of rental payments. Even after providing receipts for proof of payment. Also after you leave the premises they file an eviction against you claiming they believe there are damages to your apartment even after getting proof there are no damages.
What I liked about my apt: the layout and locationDislikes: they cut off water to work on it without notifying residence a couple of times, my apt was dirty when I moved in and they sent paper towels and cleaner to fix it, and the office (minus the admin assist) is straight up rude and prob bat crazy.Good luck renting from there. Take pics when you move in and when you move out.
This was the poorest decision of my life, its been a disaster from the beginning. We moved in August 1, 2015 and the lease was already broken, we had no running water (it took them 5 days to come out to even look at it, then they never fully repaired it.) We had a leak in our gas line that we didnt know about until after we moved in and they told us we were able to turn the gas on, they refused to fix it until October, we had to heat our house with space heaters (they also put the switch on the furnace backwards, so we had to wait longer for our furnace to work.) We also had a leak in our bathroom floor that was causing the boards to cave in, They came out to tear a hole in the floor and barely replace anything to where mold is now growing in our bathroom and they never came back in the 2-3 weeks they said they would to lay the new tiles down (its still wood boards, open holes, and three or four months later) There was no Washer and dryer hookups. The lease stated the rental came with a Stove and Refrigerator, it didnt. It took them four days to get them to us. The Cherry on the top, Our house was broken into and robbed this past Saturday, they came in through our LOCKED doors. We called crossroads to see if they could change the locks and install deadbolts... The told us they would be out Monday, Never showed. The told us they would be out Tuesday, Never Showed, called around 8:00 p.m. to see when would be okay to come out we decided on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M., they called at 10:00 A.M. and said they most likely wont be out today, and gave us attitude because we told them they couldnt come over without us being there (because out house was just robbed) They dont give to craps about you, your house, your well-being, anything. They just want your money. I would highly suggest never even CONSIDERING renting through this place... EVER!
My buddy lives there and he’s having problems when I applied I was given an attitude from office staff. I’ve seen them be mean to a person with disabilities. Give that person a rude attitude all they want is money don’t seem to care how they treat you. -10 stars. I’d rather walk around with a bear costume during hunting season than live there or talk to them again.
Management and rental office building is a janky hole in the wall and their customer service is iffy. I need maintenance on my door that refuses to lock unless I slam into the door. The electric bill was supposed to go in my name but when I called Ohio Edison they told me they didnt have my address listed and couldnt find it in their system. I call crossroads management to figure it all out. They answered, put me on hold, returned to the call and told me they would get back to me. That was at the beginning of September. I have yet to hear from them and it is now October, a month later.
The house was filthy when we moved in. The stove was un usable. Used my own cleaned their filthy stove when we moved out and was charged for cleaning it. $60.00 for toilet seats after I had already replaced one that they refused to replace. You will not get service or your deposit back from these crooks. You will get a lot of bad attitude from them though.
Terrible company they never fixed anything. Before I moved in I was promised cleaned carpet I had to reclean it. The stove was filthy greesey which was a fire hazard I had to buy my own to protect my family before I moved in. It was in the lease I would be charged if it the carpet stove and re fridge wasnt cleaned before I moved out, BUT IT WASNt DONE BEFORE I MOVED IN....so what was the deposit for?!!? Inwhich I knew they would find a way to keep. There was a hole in the ceiling before I moved in they promised to fix ... They just covered it up with a huge piece of drywall that did not fit , no plaster joint compound, and had the nerve to put a smoke detector on top , it eventually fell through , the ceiling leaked it took them three weeks to fix it in the meantime my water bill is growing, toilet was broken it continuously flushed running up the water bill, so they tied a shoe string to the leaver on the inside to stop it from flushing after the water bill got to 300.00 one month..this is no joke I got pics to prove. I put up with this for a year after my lease was up they said they were gonna increase my rent if I didnt sign another lease WHY WOULD I. I was too happy to move. And thats just the beginning. I refused to let them destroy my record
Ive been putting in a work order to fix my sink (been broken and breaking more) since i moved in (oct 2019) they have 30 days to respond to the work order clearly its been over 30 days amd sinks still broken!! 🙃 on top of that while the majority of the people that answer the phone are nice and polite theres one girl that clearly doesnt like her job let alone clearly doesnt care when something needs to get done so i only put 2 starts
I am a landlord in the Akron area.This company is horrible, they dont care who they get for you. The Tennants they have gotten for me have recked my place a few times.When they ”fix things at the apartment, the work is horrible.There guy cut down the top of my one door and screwed it back together after it started delaminating.They put a new lock set on with only a dead bolt, no door knob.The list goes on. And when they did fix things , they charged through the roof for bad repairs.The one thing they were good at was collecting rent and charging extras when needed.
The day I move into my apartment it was extremely dirty and the smell was horrendous carpet coming up and torn in places they did not paint and told me they would not paint .They told me the management would not be painting the loft that I had to do it at my own expense Ive been here week and Im moving out already
HORRIBLE....the agent never showed up to the first appt. After meeting with the agent on my second try, was suppose to receive a phone call in regards to an important question...never did. When I finally called them, they wanted me to pay a non-refundable 20$ app fee to find out if my dog would be accepted! Scam artists! So if your looking to sell, rent or buy...they suck! Also, for whomever is trying to rent their property on Welsh...the reason it hasnt been rented is because they do a horrible job! They dont show up or return your calls!!
Was about to purchase a property through an owner under this HOA and had my lawyer review the bilaws, which were outdated and vague. Owner of Crossroads Management Realty directed me to legal counsel, who would not provide an answer. Steer clear of HOAs with vague legal contracts for your own protection!
Will never do business with people who only value the dollar. They only care about money. They also dont send maintenance personnel to the address youre renting. I witnessed a gentleman complaining to them about something that hed complained about 3 months prior to his visit, and they hadnt up to that point sent out maintenance to handle the situation.
Was looking to rent one of their homes. So glad we did a tour as the entire basement was covered in black mold. Which they tried to cover up with cardboard to hide it. When asked if management was going to repair the home they said no. Stay away from this management company as they do not care about your health and safety, only your money.
Very rude behavior with tenants. They do not refund security deposit, rather demand fictitious charges for cleaning ($350!!!!). They intentionally keep things dirty, and broken. And shift the liability on the moving out tenants. Renting this apartment was a bad choice.
This is an unreputable company. They havent done anything for my property and I had to have my previous neighbor mow the grass and keep it up when it wasnt rented even though it was in the contract. They did nothing to rent the place and when it was, the tenants were not desirable.
Terrible.Had me wait outside a property for nearly an hour waiting for a tour that was scheduled 2 days prior. (Scheduled for 2:30pm)Once I realized my guide was not coming I had called the company.They then tell me that they had changed the tour time to 11:30am without telling me.Just in it to waste your time it feels like. Along with rude customer service I will never approach his company again.Absolute waste of time.

Worst decision of my life.I am stuck in a year lease in a Damn shack! Everything that can br wrong is wrong. Nothing is evr fixed. Place was filthy when my family and I moved in. Looking into legal action to get out of this lease without paying or destroying credit history.
By far this is the best plate i have ever lived. Very nice neighbors, management is on top of things and the only complaint i have is that they do unexpected inspections. Other than that the place is very relaxing and convient. I have been here for almost 6 months and have had no issues.
I had a chance to look inside the homes a little bit and look at the deplorable conditions of the roof at the houses on Spiller as a contractor for Lindsey construction design I noticed that the roof were literally deplorable the peoples living conditions were not up to code completely disregarding their right to livable living conditions which they were not being provided I called them and told him about it tell him I can help them if they have insurance I work with lens extraction design we can help you work work out something and get the roof paid for and replaced as well as get the living standards up to code they hose to hang up hon me little do they know Im connected into members of console and people that are attorneys and stuff like that and Im going to make them take care of those people cuz its unacceptable just because theyre poor they are still entitled to livable living conditions and they are not maintaining that and as a real estate company in Ohio they are obligated by law to keep those homes up to code and thats why they hung up on me when I brought that up hey but thats okay Ill be talkin you guys in the near future cuz Im going to have you guys pay you guys are going to pay the damage these homes in the deplorable living conditions of these residents are left with because you neglect to do your job as a realty company I sent you want to drag it out Ill go that route Im going to get this jobs done for me by Lindsey construction because these roofs are damaged by hail is residence living conditions are deplorable okay and if I got to fight you on it I will or you just let me help you and if you have insurance Ill help you get your roof replaced thanks and have a good one let me know
Completely Unprofessional I had a scheduled viewing for a listed available property for rent @10 am 01/25/2020 and I have to be at work at 12 I arrived at the property at 9:45 and patiently waited for the personnel showing me the property till 10:15 no one showed or gave me a call to let me know anything I was really excited about viewing the property but now at this point I’m having second thoughts about trying to pursue living arrangements with this company.
This place is the biggest joke Ive ever seen in my life nobody knows what theyre talking about one person says one thing and the other person says its not true its like the blind leading the blind I wouldnt care if the building was free theyre not worth dealing with if I could give a rating less than 1 star i would
Worse company management out there Im a landlord all they do is collect rent never go and check on properties, have handymen come fix things then dont pay them or they send you the bill without the problems being fixed if you are even considering this company after reading the rest of there history good luck to you stay far away especially from Rick ,he is the biggest scammer in the company
Do not rent from Crossroads management they are not good landlord I have a leak in my roof is leaking my car got damaged due to potholes in the parking lot call them treat time to refund me for my money and never got back with me they own Rocky Woods and Kent and not very good landlords I advise people to go to the other direction dont want for them
I honestly wouldnt even give them one star my landlord is the nicest person to talk to until it comes through this company the so called president has some serious mental issues I called in regards to my property and was told that my phone was not valid the one I was calling her on I tried to confirm a appointment for someone to come to my house as she is telling me to call back later to confirm appointment to come to my house at that point she became more aggressive and raising her voice I tried to tell her my calls are recorded at that point she yelled at me and told me to stop threatening her I do this for my safety and from the reviews for when I have to take them to court would never recommend this place to anyone
They got all these listings for these houses and stuff and then you go look at in their stuff and then the minute you ask him do they take Section 8 in the cat they tell you no Section 8 no cat but they got all these listings and the house is that they have listed it dont show on there that they dont take Section 8 they dont take pets too but they have the rent amount that they have for the place that doesnt make any sense your name I need to put in that include that you dont have pets and you dont take Section 8 yall just got houses just to be putting houses up and yall going to take these animals and Section 8 yeah and most of them are nasty looking bad looking Windows stains on the floor but they expect us to live in these conditions and they want our money aint happening I can find better and then they charge $20 a person what a rip off

2022-06-27Wow really difficult to express how terrible this company is. Communication is a joke, plowing? Doesnt happen. Trash pickup? Were on day 15 and theres piles of it everywhere. Call the office? Only if you want to be berated by Cynthia for daring to breathe. I wouldnt live here again if the rent was zero dollars

2022-06-20At this point Im about to call the city because I can already tell this is about to be a problem. Two days ago I blew a fuse in my apartment something that is a simple fix right? Wrong the fuse box is locked which is something I can understand with it being outside. However when I called to the leasing office and explained the situation it took them 4 hours to get here we live on the top floor of this building and it was 92 degrees. We live 5 mins away from the main office The icing on the cake was again a fuse blew again today at 3pm it is now 2 am and I still dont have power to my fridge and microwave MY FOOD IS ABOUT TO BE RUINED. He called and told me he arrives at 10 pm and nothing has changed ITS A SIMPLE FUSE

2022-02-11If I could give zero stars, I would. Rented a duplex from these people that turned out to be roach infested with a basement so full of trash bags full of cans you couldnt even easily move through the space. The lease said the water was to be paid by landlord, which they neglected to do until our water was shut off without notice. Checked with the water department and apparently the 6 months of rent theyd collected hadnt gone to the over $300 they owed on the bill. Still, when we moved out, they had the nerve to try to charge us $200+ for cleaning (the place wasnt left dirty) despite the four days we couldnt flush our toilet we never even got an apology for, much less a break on rent.

2022-04-04I like the apartment inside, i painted the walls because they were white and had marks, also the carpet was dirty when i moved in and it made the whole place smell weird, so we swept it and did our homey touches etc, what i dont like is im in akron on firestone blvd and one night someone shot up somes car in our lot, also my neighbors underneath me complain so much about hearing me walk etc (u can hear everything through these floors/walls). So its decent here but id rather not live in akron

2022-01-18If this company acquires your property move immediately, their contractors are horrible and they do not care about their tenants. As of writing this we are going on being stuck in our apartment for 36 hours from them not having a plowing company to clear the foot of snow off of our parking lot and driveway. The tenants had to resort to digging themselves out. I would give 0 stars if I could.

2022-02-19Wanted a cash deposit down. Took over a week with no decision. I decided against property and asked for deposit back. Made me wait another day. Had to go to their office and was given a check. From start to finish transaction was unprofessional.

2022-05-24I wouldn’t recommend nobody to live at this address landlord don’t do they job right when I live there I was complaining about my refrigerator being broken heater was broken having mice running around it’s was so nasty & now Jennifer Lopez taking me to court for not paying my rent nobody should’ve live like that House wasn’t even worth paying 725 plus water gas electricity this was a bad choice that I made she gone get what’s coming for her 💯💯💯 that’s Unprofessional to not do they job when they post to & to move someone into a house when it already had some issues don’t even know how to treat they tenets smh

2021-11-11Unprofessional waited 10days to hear from them after I called on several occasions just to find out they denied our Apps ($120). I had to continuously call them for answers and no one ever gave me an answer, I was told I would get a call back, never did untill the 10th day.Also the houses shown were NOT in good shape BUT was told they would be fixed before move in.I believe it is because my husband is Black. (Could be the owner too)

2021-08-23If I could give this place no stars I would . I was supposed to move out of my apartment 02/15/2018 when I got back to my apartment all of my stuff was moved outside and the doors were locked . They are trying to charge me for cleaning charges and rent lying and saying I never gave them a 30 day written notice which I did . I spoke to Melissa smith who hung up on me twice on purpose. I asked for the Owners information and she told me that he knows nothing about what is going on at their company and that they are allowed to act as him . She told me she doesn’t have to pull my file and give me more information. Do not rent from here . She is a liar

2021-03-25Literally trash. Made me go two months without a working refrigerator. And when they finally came and switch them out, they threw out all the food I had to keep in the freezer. Called me at work countless times telling me I have to leave my job to pay them or face eviction because they didnt want to wait on the mail. Didnt want to fix anything in the house that needed repairs. Countless issues with these people. Dont do it.
