Crooked Can Brewing Co. in other cities:
Pretty cool spot with a nice dog friendly outdoor area. GOOD BEER!Now, the reason for my rating. Usually, Im into this kind of place with several food courts, good outdoor area and a bar but for me it fell a little short as far as food choices. the food in the area is, meatballs, some pizza, dumplings, coffee, and desserts. to me, none of these really compliment each other or really draw me in. I think this would be a good spot to sit with friends outside and have some beers but we ended up going somewhere else for dinner. nothing wrong with the food, I just dont really think the choices mesh well with the scene. anyway, the beer is good and the atmosphere was good. I know 3 stars seems low for somewhere thats not bad but this place was just pretty okay.
My first visit to Hilliard was on the first Celebration at the Station of the season. Was nice to see that they had DORA - Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area - where you can walk around certain areas with a beverage in hand. I stopped by the Crooked Can and had their Airneanach Irish Stout. Very smooth, dark, cold, refreshing. Unfortunately this was the only beer I sampled as a storm came through shortly after the festivities began. Ill definitely return on my next visit to Hilliard.
Located inside Center Street Market, this large tap room mainly hosts other brewery products. I didnt have the opportunity to enjoy anything produced by them. Service was excellent! We sat on the patio with our dog and had a great time, even getting a water bowl for her while we drank! Lots of food options, but only through other vendors in the market. Free parking in a parking lot nearby!
I was impressed with the amount of space when I walked in and had no trouble finding a table for 6 on a busy Saturday night. The beers we tried were great. Their lager and amber ale tasted perfect. I am excited to come back and try the food when the kitchen is up and running and when they get added to the Columbus Ale Trail (assuming they will be).
Staff was very helpful and friendly! I tried the Black Cherry Cider and a Cider Chai Mule on the recommendation of the bartender. Both were very good. Theres plenty of seating the place was spotless with staff actively monitoring for cleanups. If you go to Center Street Market make sure to check this place out.
Nice large brewery, great location in old Hilliard. So far when I visited they had five beers on tap that were original from the Orlando brewery and they are to brew their own beer here as well. Solid area for games, and sports events. Outdoor area in summer is going to kill because of how much room they added. Overall excited to see the future of this place. Parking is available in a lot nearby.
This place is awesome! Excellent beers on tap and a really great atmosphere on a spacious outdoor patio with picnic tables and high-top seating. The building has an indoor market type area with various vendors ranging from different foods to ice cream, coffee, and a small trinket vendor. Imagine a mini North Market with a huge patio you can drink and eat you food at.Overall awesome place that my fiance and I will be frequenting for quite a while. 10/10!!
Great beer selection and a wide range of permanent food vendors, setup like a farmers market. Very frou frou food selection and high prices are to be expected in a place like this. Its up to you if you have a good experience or not. We call it Hilliards Hipster Central.
Nice place had a nice selection of beers. Tried a porter and a red ale. They were good. Located in a building with a small food court so you have a choice of foods as well. Would love to visit when the weather warms up and the rona is behind us because the patio looks like the place to be on a warm summer night!
A wonderful establishment, ran and operated by even better people! Stacy and Jon made our wedding day celebration so special and unique! For anybody looking for a great party/event space, we cant recommend Crooked Can Brewing and the Center Street Market enough. From the staff to the ownership, this place is top notch! Our bartender, Zach, did a wonderful job serving our family and friends and we cant thank him enough for his great service. They also did a fantastic job making sure everybody was properly socially distancing and maintaining a 6 feet distance between tables. To Jon, Stacy, and the rest of the great staff at Crooked Can, it was a privilege getting to spend our day with you and it is certainly a day we will never forget. Thank you all so much for everything, we cant wait to use your space again in the future!
This place is AWESOME. I love the beer and I love the atmosphere BUT.... though a wide variety, the food was quite a let down. Had tacos and the brisket was so darn dry. Had meatball sub and the meatballs were so darn bland. I had the quesadilla and they were bland and boring. I recommend this place 1000% to meet up with your friends or for a date. I would just maybe grab dinner somewhere else if you want a worthy meal.
A great, fun place! Besides many different types of beers, they have several food vendors and a retail store with really cute items. Their outdoor patio space is huge!! And on Thursdays in the summer, Hilliard has live music and a festival atmosphere all around Crooked Can.
Great selection of beer. They also have a few cocktails if you prefer. All the restaurants inside are fun and unique. Ive tried 3 so far and all were great. Outside seating is plentiful and nice with some shade for hot days. Inside also has plenty of seating. Definitely a must try.
Huge patio. Excellent, friendly service. Casual atmosphere. Dog friendly. Good beer. Huge selection of great eats inside. Really not much else you can ask.We went there when it was 90 degrees and loved the fact that you can tilt the umbrellas at the tables to provide shade for the whole table. Also the fact that you can get your beer and take a walk around the parks and streets of old Hilliard is great. This will be a place we return to time and time again this summer to enjoy the patio.
The beer was great! They did a great job adapting for social distancing and increased sanitation measures for the pandenic. I ordered an IPA and their double IPA and both were great. The venue was interesting as well, as it was a small market with lots of choices to eat. This was my first time there, but Ill definitely be back
Very nice place, great patio and the beers were very good. My poor rating was because of the service at the “Texas” taco spot. The service guy today was totally unresponsive, and basically rude. The brisket tacos were okay, brisket quesadilla was not good-literally zero meat, just cheese and tortillas. I stood by this stand for 3-4 minutes without acknowledgement then was barked at because I lowered my mask to talk to my mother. I thanked him for the food without any response. Dude is missing the service part of this service industry.
I loved the seating both indoor and outdoor. Dog friendly patio and I saw workers sanitizing all the tables moments after someone left. The food/bakeries options inside are tastey and I will be sure to go back to try more of their brews. They also sell growlers which I didnt see advertised. Oh and bathrooms were clean, always important.
I’ve been coming here since they opened! Literally like a second home. Perfect for warm, sunny days (but be sure to get there early!), pet friendly patio, and lots of inside seating. Every vendor inside has something we love. So thankful that they decided to call Hilliard home!
All of the beers Ive tried here have been good, though I have to admit that none of them makes me want to rush back there. The bartending staff are amazingly attentive and nice. Unfortunately, like many craft beer taprooms it can get so loud and crowded that you cant carry on much of a conversation. When the other businesses in the center open (supposedly later this month) it should be a really fun place to visit.
Went for opening night and the energy was amazing! Love the flights which include your choice of beer and ciders. They also offer wine for the non-beer drinkers. Great atmosphere and cant wait for warmer weather to try out their huge patio and soon to open Center Street Market!
All the beers were top tier. Ciders are best in Columbus, easily a must-have on every visit. I would say that the sours need some improvement but werent bad. Some of the food locations are under construction but the open eateries and the food truck bring plenty of good cuisine to the table. Cant wait to get back!
A really unique place right in the center of old Hilliard! Such a large space, great beer and friendly staff that is very knowledgeable about the beer they make! Can’t wait for it to warm up so we can enjoy the large patio! I love being able to see all the brewing being done from the large windows inside.
Great new place! Just opened in the last month. They have a large outside area that will be great once the temperature goes up. Large inside area. They have a wide variety of beer and a selection of wine. They do not have their own parking but there is a parking lot near by. They do not have food but plenty of restaurants nearby and can order delivery.
Bouncer at the front who was controlling the amount of people in was telling different info than rest of staff. Apparently you can walk in and grab a seat anywhere at a table indoor. He made us wait until one opened. Beers were good. Healthy amount of choices. Big tvs about everywhere! Cant wait till all the places are opened and the food can be sampled. You can have doggies there, which is cool.
What an awesome place to visit for not only great beer, but good food too. Its not just a brewery, but a market and more. Sunday brunch day included Mimosas and Beermosas! And the best part is the massive patio to hang out in the afternoon sun. Very pleasant staff as well
Awesome beer and people! We frequented the Winter Garden location and when we found out they have a Columbus location, we had to give it a try. Stacy was extremely accommodating when my wife stopped by to grab a growler and the McStagger is on-point - just as I remember. You can’t go wrong here, try it!
Incredibly impressive brewery and concept as a whole! Incredible beers (and huge selection), friendly staff, and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to spend summers here enjoying the large outdoor space and sampling all the market has to offer. Just what was needed in the heart of Hilliard!
I have been here twice and both times during the covid situation, everyone is extremely nice, it is clean, the atmosphere is great!I love supporting local business and this is right there. There are a few places to eat right inside that I have not tried and then the outside “patio” area as well! Worth even a pick up and go visit!

2022-06-05Delicious drinks, wonderful location and positive people all in one place. Dogs are welcome and there are treats and water bowls for them as well. It also is close to the splash pad area, so little kids can have fun.

2021-11-26Stopped in on a Monday evening and it was relatively busy yet the service was fast and friendly. The beer variety and quality was very good!As for food, there are a bunch of restaurants/food trucks that are available for a wide variety of food options! Ive never seen anything beyond more than two food trucks at one brewery, so this blew my mind with excitement! At each table is a list of the options available with QR codes for each restaurant/business that brought up their menu , and some even allowed for online ordering! If Im ever in the area again, Ill definitely love to check it out - especially in warmer weather because the outdoor patio area looked amazing!!

2022-01-19What a Great Idea !!! This place has a Great selection of On-Site Brewed Beers. There is something here for everyone’s pallet. They also have several local food, and craft venders located on premises, allowing you to choose anything from Pizza, to Asian, including a coffee shop, a bakery and several other specialty shops. You could stay all day and never have to leave the main arcade area, to satisfy your changing moods and preferences. Located in the old downtown Hilliard area. They’ve turned an otherwise dead utility tract of land into a goldmine. And the buzzing power-lines overhead just add to the palpable energy of the place.

2021-08-29This is sister location of the original crooked can brewing located in Winter garden Florida. Brewery combine with a few quality eateries, a gift shop or two, an amazing outdoor space that often provides live music. This is a perfect gathering spot for friends, family, coworkers, and even your favorite dog. Expect to run into people that you haven’t seen in a long time here, because everyone seems to show up here. Beers are high-quality, and served with a smile.

2021-06-07We had a great time in a upbeat relaxed, casual atmosphere! Picnic tables everywhere inside and out. There are no servers, which was okay because you will want to wonder checking out the menus. We tried Two Step Tacos, with brisket, excellent but seemed a little small. We tried Meatball Maries cheese pizza which at first bite seemed delicious but had kind of a frozen pizza taste in the sauce. They closed at 8pm, seemed a little early when the place was hoping! Tried Dumplings of Fury Chicken Fried Rice. The chicken was breaded and deep fried it tasted good the rice was a little undercooked seemed like to me had lots of veggies in it but seemed a little bit greasy. Overall there was many choices and the atmosphere was wonderful and lots of seating inside and out lots of people inside now fun place!

2022-05-30Very nice indoor/outdoor bar with multiple attached restaurants to order from. I have never had a bad selection from any of their beers. Very nice for a family/dog friendly trip out! Beers locally brewed and absolutely with the visit. They even turn the grain waste into dog biscuits! Occasionally has live outdoor music. The only downside is the pricing - beers are reasonable at $4-6 each, but the food is 30-50% more expensive than comparable local eateries. For example, a 12 cheese pizza is $15 plus tax and tip, a veggie pita upwards of $10, a cheeseburger starts at $10 for the sandwich alone. This makes it a little expensive for a family of four to have dinner and drinks; our recommendation for those without fat wallets is to eat somewhere else first, and stop by to have a snack and drinks afterwards.A place that does well, but still has a lot of potential to take advantage of.

2022-06-25Excellent spot for various food and drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic)—Inside to the right are quite a few stationary vendors—everything from pizza and burgers to cheesecake and coffee. If you’re in the area with a group of people and you can’t decide what to eat, what to drink, this is the place! During the warmer months in Columbus, they have live music on their (pretty decent) sized patio.

2022-01-25A real bad a** place to go have a good time with your buddies or your wife even your kids actually its a brewery that caters to all! They say service dogs are obviously allowed and they make it kind of clear that you can bring any sort of dog so bring your pooch come have some beers and tip them well the staff does a superb job at making sure you have a good time and good beverages! 10 out of 10 Stars! Cheers to you!
