Craig Smith’s RV Service Department has performed another grand slam home run for us. Our RV needed a new inverter. Seth and his team managed to acquire the part and get it installed for us in time to meet our looming on the horizon BIG TRIP deadline.Great service delivered with special timing as well!VERY APPRECIATED
I had a great experience here from the moment I walked in to the moment I picked up my camper. It is a family owned environment and Stephen did an excellent job in helping and communicating through the whole process. I went to some other dealerships before coming here and you might as well not waste your time and come straight to Craig Smith! Thank you guys.
Hands down the best service all around. Brent Smith set us up with Aaron Spangler in sales who was very knowledgeable and genuinely wanted what was best for our family when finding the right RV. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Honest communication and no surprises. They have the best warranties out there, too. Highly recommend— Brent, Aaron, Alex Smith and Jeramy were fantastic to work with. Thanks again!
Their craftsmanship is great but unfortunately if you are dealing with an insurance claim communication is very scarce. I understand do to things with covid-19 lot of wait time for items but not being told anything and almost having my camper for over six months and then to come find out that it was finished before the holiday weekend but we didnt get a call until after, that is unfortunately why I only gave him three stars instead of the five star because like I said the craftsmanship is beautiful but due to lack of communication the stars suffered.
Geoff Frontz helped my in-laws with the purchase of their first RV. He was attentive to their wants and needs, and found them not just an RV, but a perfect place to make family memories for many years to come. And, as always, his humorous attitude made the process even more enjoyable! Would definitely recommend Craig Smith for your RV needs!
I had lost my refrigerator due to the recent storms. Also had trouble with my main slide in my 2018 Georgetown class a. I live in my rig all summer near Fredericktown. I contacted Seth and explained my situation. He told me to get it in and they would troubleshoot the problems and get it back to me asap. Within 5 days the repairs were made as promised. The pricing was fair. I could t be happier with the RV service department at Craig Smith RV. Thank you Seth!
With all of the supply chain issues that have plagued all of us over the past year or so it was no surprise that Craig Smith RV (and therefore myself) had a long wait ahead for the parts needed to repair my 5th wheel when I dropped it off last October.During the past 5 months, Seth (RV Service Manager) kept me updated with any information or timeline he got from the factory and when the parts finally arrived, he put my rv to the front of the line and completed the work in just a couple of days. I picked it up today and it looks perfect! He also worked for close to an hour with one of the technicians to correct an alignment issue with my hitch which was totally unrelated to the repair work that had been done and then waved me off when I asked what I owed for that. You can’t do better than Craig Smith RV. Everyone was friendly and professional and it’s clear they truly care about providing quality service to their customers.
Aaron is an awesome sales rep.....answered any questions we had , took the time to show us anything we questioned and didnt feel pressured for the sale or the time he spent with us! We will recomend going forward to anyone looking for RVS to go to Craig Smith! Thank you so much
The folks at Craig Smith RV are great. They treat you like family. Two weeks ago I picked up my new Leisure Travel Van Unity RL. Although it took 20+ months to arrive, Aaron Spangler in sales kept me current on my RVs delivery progress, showing great patience with my inquiries the whole way. Scott Smith provided a thorough walk through/orientation. Jeramy Cupp handled the financing issues clearly and smoothly. Most impressive was my interaction with Andy Fouch, the service manager. Hes been helping me with a minor service issue and responded within minutes to an e-mail I sent him last Saturday evening. You can trust these folks!
My business partner and I were looking for a particular style 5th wheel to purchase and after months of searching, Craig Smith had one in stock. We immediately contacted them and our sales specialist Geoffrey Frontz was able to show us the rig. We were impressed with Geoffreys knowledge and Craig Smiths selection of RVs so we purchased the 5th wheel we were looking for! Many thanks to everyone at Craig Smiths for their attention to detail and service. Band Brothers MCL 2022!!
Our salesman was Geoff. He did a good job of looking in the lot for what worked for our family. Unfortunately, Jeff from service was very out out to have to answer questions on the camper we purchased during the walk through. Albeit, we were late but came with a newborn in tow from 3 hours away. I understand it was not ideal but we are previous camper owners and had just a few questions not a lot but was made to feel like the couple questions I did have were inconveniencing him. Found out we paid a 1k dealer prep fee which shame on me. Knowing I paid that I would definitely expect the camper to be clean and ready to go. This far I have paid to have a light fixed, new safety chain as the previous was broken, mouse poop galore cleaned out of it before we could even use it and said mouse trapped, speaker for awning replaced.....which we pointed out while we were there and was told it was just pinched and fresh water line re done because it leaked every time we filled the tank. This was disappointing as yes I would have told them to leave it as is and kept my 1k but since I did not catch it these things had to be addressed. They paid fairly for my trade with that being said. I would definitely proceed with caution if I were to purchase from them again and go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately, with two kids in tow I was not able to do that and things slipped through the cracks.
If I could make a commercial for Craig Smith RV I would tell everyone what a GREAT EXPERIENCE we had in purchasing our 2005 Travel Trailer!!! Geoff Frontz walked us through the process from start to finish and could not have been more thorough if he tried. Brent Smith was MORE THAN GENEROUS with our negotiations on pricing and we came away HAPPY CAMPERS!!!! We love our camper and this weekend we cannot wait to get away in it. Please go see Geoff and he will make you the deal of a lifetime!!!!
One of the best camper sales and service, places I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We were traveling out of town and needed a weight distribution hitch, and in a hurry. They squeezed us in with only 30 minutes notice that we were coming. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot they moved units out of another building, where they don’t normally work on the campers, installed our hitch and had us down the road within 2 hours. I would absolutely do business with them again and recommend them to anyone local.
Dan was my sales rep that handled the showing and sale of the tractor I purchased. He was extremely helpful. The staff as a whole helped work out details for the sale making it work for me. They also did not force the sale when I told them I was looking at other locations.
My husband and I were really impressed with everyone we met at Craig Smith RV when we bought our new fifth wheel today. We dealt with Jason Myers and he was wonderful. The entire dealership was honest, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely professional. We very highly recommend that anyone looking for an RV should go to Craig Smith first. You wont need to look anywhere else! They are the best!
Aaron S. is a joy to work with. We have rented a travel trailer, rv, and purchased a travel trailer on separate occasions in 2021. All 3 occasions were positive experiences thanks to Aarons patience and knowledge. He always took his time with us, explained and answered many questions, and helped us out in a pinch outside of business hours. Thanks to Aaron and Craig Smith RV team, we are excited and thrilled to be a part of the camping and RV world.
We flew in from STL and Geoff picked us up at the airport. Very pleasant conversation to the dealership and helpful prior to arrival, answering questions and giving accurate information on the unit. We really appreciate his time. Jeramy was helpful in explaining terms to us and answered any questions we had. Jeff was great in explaining components of the unit and took the time with us until we were comfortable with the mechanics. We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend Craig Smith RV Center. Happy Trails.
I am a retired Rutgers University professor. My wife, Nina Pierpont, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist, pediatrician, and behavioral pediatrician. We have owned several VW camping vans, including a Eurovan.I say this to give context to what Im about to say re. Craig Smith RV Center. The short message is, this dealership is away beyond ones expectations of quality, including service, being personable, and knowledge of the product. My wife and I just made a $200,000+ purchase. A used Leisure Travel Van, Unity, with an Island Bed. We bought it sight unseen from our home in upstate NY. When I contacted Aaron Spangler in Sales, I did so because I spotted the Craig Smith ad for this RV in RV Trader, as I recall. I called out of the blue. Aaron happened to answer. From that moment on, I was in the best hands possible. By the end of our hour-long conversation, I had delegated Aaron as my surrogate, my agent, regarding their used LTV inventory: Aaron, pretend you are me. You pick out which van among your current stock is best for us.That was 3:30 pm on a Friday. By 11 am the next morning I was giving Aaron my credit card over the phone: we bought the van I am sitting in as I write this review. (My wife and I are camped on a bluff overlooking the Thousand Islands in NYS.)For the next 2 weeks there were frequent texts, emails, and phone calls between Aaron and me and my wife, and between Jeff Adams and us. Jeff works in Service as the Delivery Coordinator. (A brilliant idea to have a delivery coordinator, by the way.) Jeff became the man who would walk us through our van when we turned up to buy it. This is a complex vehicle; we had some trepidation about learning all its features. Jeff was ready for us at 9 am on the appointed day, with the van parked in a special spot in their huge showroom, and everything was opened up: all lights turned on, all features open and running. For the next 6 or 7 hours Jeff devoted himself exclusively to us, walking us through everything while Nina videotaped for future reference. When it came to turning over a huge bank check, we had the pleasure (yes, I mean pleasure) of dealing with Jeramy Cupp, the Finance Manager. As with Aaron and Jeff, Jeramy knew his business, was expeditious, thorough, patient, and warm.Bottom line: I cannot say enough good and positive about this dealership and these 3 individuals.A word to prospective buyers of the Triple E, Leisure Travel Van. I researched RVs for at least 2 years. In every way imaginable this RV is ingeniously designed and hand-crafted -- brilliant fit and finish, as they say. If youre looking for an RV of this size (Class B+), stop looking.Aaron mentioned they get numerous calls, daily, about LTVs. He said he got one the other day from a gentleman in Dubai. (Thats not Dubai, Idaho; thats Dubai in the Middle East.) This note is to the gentleman in Dubai: You can trust these people and this RV! You have made the right choice in both product and dealership! Youre gonna love this thing and Craig Smith RV!Calvin Luther Martin, PhDNina Pierpont, MD, PhD
We came in looking for a new camper. Our salesman was very nice and helpful and listened to all our questions and all we wanted in a camper. He was able to show us the perfect camper for our all our needs! They worked with us to get the best deal possible. We are so excited for camping season to start so we can enjoy our new camper. We highly recommend Craig Smith if you are looking for a camper!
Aaron provided low pressure, yet knowledgeable service. We were shopping for a used camper advertised on the website. Aaron showed us the camper and described the features; he helped us through the process of purchasing the 2019 No Boundaries travel trailer. We are excited to pick it up after inspection and cleaning! Thank you Aaron!
I recently went to Craig Smith RV Center and purchased a travel trailer. Jason helped me out and answered all my questions and made my buying experience easy and fun. I recommend them to any one looking for any type of RV. The the lifetime warranty is a big plus!!!! Thanks Rick
The salesman at Craig Smith RV Center was very friendly, informational, and a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with our visit. They were awesome years ago and once again awesome this visit. I recommend Craig Smith RV Center to all. Thank you for this experience.
Weve purchase several RVs over the years, all from reputable dealers, but never received the personal attention that the guys at Craig Smith provided! When we arrived to pick it up, they had our unit prepped and all setup inside their showroom! Jeff spent several hours with us, during the walk-through to make absolutely sure we knew how to use all the features of our new rig. We drove over 700 miles to get to Craig Smith RV! The customer experience made it worth every mile!
Our salesman Noah was very knowledgeable and helpful when purchasing our, new to us hybrid from Craig Smith RV. Although the real Rock Stars were the service department. Our camper needed to be looked at that day so we could pull out for our trip, Renea, Craig, Bruce, Eric and Casey jumped right in to make sure everything was taken care of so we had a safe and enjoyable experience. They not only looked out for our safety, checking all the moving parts for us, they had a lot of patience with our many questions and were very thorough explaining how things worked. Thank you for a great experience.
We bought here because of the warranty forever. Big mistake. Sales was great until we signed on the dotted line.........Since then any dealings with the service department has been a nightmare. Had our camper for two weeks, over a holiday weekend at that, doing a repair that we could of done ourselves in 15 minutes, but since it was covered under warranty we took it in. Took them two weeks to get it done. While my camper was there, they damaged it as well, so now Im going to have to take it back to be repaired. Thank God we did a walk around before we hooked up and left their lot when picking it up.. their reply was they would investigate and see what the condition of the camper was when we bought it, they had to look at pictures. The camper was brand new!!!!!!!! Beyond furious. My husband and I both called several times during the two weeks they had our camper to check on the status and my husband was hung up on not once but twice by the service manager!!! And this review is just this instance. This is not the first time we have had our brand new camper in for service in the short 3 months that we have owned it, and each time we have had issues with the service department.
Went sat. to look at a Zephyr, knowing there was a deposit on it.When we walked thru the doors, we ask to see the coach, they said we have good news there is no deposit on it any longer. Alex Smith showed us the coach. We looked, we liked, we went home, called back with an offer, we agreed on a price. Gave them card number paid a deposit. A family member even called an hour later, you told her that there was no deposit on that unit. Then they call back and tell me that the same person is trying to get financing thru his own bank, but they said he probably wont get it financing, cause theyve done all they can do.We get minimal amount of phone information yesterday. (They were dodging me, to stall til further notice)They finally told us we will know in 20 min. on Tues. Then they call back and tell metommorrow by lunch. Well it 6 oclock wed they call and said financing was finally approvThis place is one shakey business.Very poor business practice.I know someone from Smith RV is going to analyze this into my fault somehow.I read some of the bad reviews a little to late.
Its a treat dealing with the folks here. After two experiences of renting a small motor home from Craig Smith RV for short vacations, we lucked into purchasing a used Leisure Way in September. Aaron was knowledgeable and low-pressure as we walked through the Unity model that had come in a day or two before. He and the manager Tracy answered all of our questions and made sure we considered things we hadnt thought about, like winterizing and proper bike racks. They didnt pretend to know things they were unsure of. If there were questions, they researched them and got back to us promptly. Jeff Adams walked us through the unit the day we picked her up and showed us everything we needed to know. He even figured out a device the previous owner had contrived to reach the hard-to-reach water valve. He shared his cell number with us and has continued to answer questions quickly. We enjoy working with these folks.
Craig Smith RV was very efficient in giving us what we wanted and asked for. We gave them a price and they ran with it and did everything in their power to get it done for us. If we had any questions all employees are friendly and willing to help in a timely manner! Even if we had any issue they would make it right and make sure you’re happy with your purchase at the end of the day. Highly recommend to anyone new to camping as they provide great advice and insight.
We ordered a Leisurevan from Craig Smith RV in November 2019. The folks at Craig Smith delivered it to me in West Virginia one month following my heart surgery in July 2020. I cannot say enough in support of their sales and service. The vehicle is beautiful! Brent Smith went over and above to smooth the bumps in the road. Tracy Foster, Jeramy Cupp, Jeff Adams, and Andy Foutes have treated me very well in support of sales, training, maintenance, and customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Craig Smith to friends or family. I would also highly recommend them to those looking for a small luxury class B camper from Leisurevan!Rick Hart... Parkersburg, WV
Friendly staff and a nice place to shop for an RV. Large selection to choose from. The salesman was super nice, he didnt try to oversell us on campers. We told him our needs and limitations and he worked with what they had to find us a camper to fit us. The one we actually liked wasnt one we had picked to look at. If you looking for a new camper you need to check this place out.
My husband and I purchased a previously owned beautifully equipped Leisure Way, Unity RV from Craig Smith RV. Our sales consultant Alex Smith was very helpful explaining the RV features and allowed us to make comparisons with other RVs. Truly, Leisure Way quality sells itself. Alex and the team at Craig Smith RV were extremely helpful throughout our purchase experience. Another helpful helpful bonus was the training Jeff gave us on how to operate all the wonderful amenities on our Unity RV.We look forward to new RV adventures traveling National/State Parks across our great nation. Thanks Craig Smith RV!
First time purchasing a travel trailer. Staff was very helpful. We were thrilled that Craig Smith RV had inventory for us to look at. So many places we looked for travelr trailers were so low on inventory. We are really enjoying our new travel trailor and look forward to making more memories.
My wife was camping near Mansfield and we had an issue with some of the lights not working in our camper.I happened to be working in Galion and saw the dealership. Adam Stacy one of the Service Advisors helped me identify what might have been an issue. Sure enough I replaced the fuse he suggested and my wife had lights. Thank you! We will drive from Cleveland to deal with Craig Smith RV Center.
I was very close to purchasing a camper. I told them I was getting ready to close on my house (4 days) and could not do anything to my credit score until that deal was done. They repeatedly insisted they would not pull a hard inquiry on my credit they did it anyway. I received notification within 24 hours from the credit reporting agency themselves that they indeed pulled my credit and I could expect the points impact to fall off after 2 years. Shocked and concerned I called to speak with the owner. Apparently he no longer works with the public and has since retired. The “manager “ said he double checked my information and could prove it was a soft inquiry. I emailed him with screenshots of my credit report and the confirmation asking him to look into getting this adjusted. He never responded. Best part, we realized that they didn’t give our drivers licenses back and asked that they over night them to us because we were closing on our home within 72 hours and we lived to far away for a quick trip. They said they would mail them but refused to overnight them unless we paid for it ourselves. We absolutely paid for it in more ways than one. I would never do business with this company. We weren’t even going to finance but they said we would get an extra kick back on the price if we did. Shady, shady.
We purchased a LTV Unity TB from Craig Smith RV and are very happy with our experience and purchase. Our salesman, Aaron, was personable, knowledgeable, and did not pressure us in any way. He made our experience pleasurable. One week after picking up our coach, we returned to Craig Smiths for the LTV Rally...wonderful hospitality and all our concerns and questions were addressed. We have confidence in our new RV dealer.
The best RV dealership I have ever dealt with, great people very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Craig Smith. I have been camping for over 25 years and bought several different campers. After my experience here I wish I would have came here when I first started camping. Thanks to everyone at Craig Smith!
I just purchased a Keystone Bullet 287bqs from this dealership. I shopped around and this was the model I wanted. We live 1 1/2 hours away don’t have a lot of time to travel back and forth. I wanted to purchase the same day. They made it happen. Noah did a great job getting things done over the phone before I got there. He’s new but was very knowledgeable about the camper. Ask for him if you plan on buying a new rv. Kyle as great too helping with installing the sway bar hitch.
Jason Myers at Craig Smith RV was incredibly helpful during the entire purchase process starting early on when he emailed me pictures right away after contacting him initially to the end when I flew across the country to pick up my RV. Can’t say enough good things about Jason and my experienceSteve
We first met Alex in May 2019 as we considered a Leisure Travel Van purchase. In July 2020 we placed our LTV order. Our Unity RL LTV arrived in March 2021 at Craig Smith RV Dealership. We drove our newest family member home April 2021. Thanks to Alex and staff Jeramy & Jeff .We couldnt be happier with our purchase and continue to learn new things each time we take our LTV for an adventure.
We didnt purchase our RV from them, but they still worked on it. They had it for almost two months, due to ordering parts and waiting on manufacturer. Was a little dissatisfied at customer service from person answering phones. He had no clue what was going on and could never help when I called. Didnt feel like I was kept informed about what was going on with status of our camper. The manager I dealt with was very nice and knowledgeable. I had to keep calling and checking up. They fixed what needed fixed and did a good job.
#greatest experience on a purchase my family has ever had! Honestly guys, Im not the type to write reviews nor have I ever, but I have to share this amazing experience! We went there searching for our first camper and had the most patient and kind salesman that worked hard to match exactly what we were looking for! These guys bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for us and we left with our brand new 2020 camper! I cant thank them enough and Ive been telling everyone I know, take the chance and go check them out! There not just trying to make the sale they are genuine great people that look look out for you!! So from the bottoms of our hearts, thank you! Aaron Spangler, Tracy Foster, Jeremy Cupp, and to the maintenance technician ( never got a chance to grab his name) that stood in the rain and helped us with the hitch! You guys are amazing keep it up! Ill be recommending you guys always!
I have been working with Aaron Spangler and he has been GREAT. I initially communicated with him via email and he wasnt pushy and when I was ready, spoke on the phone. I am still some time out but he was courteous, knowledgeable, and eager to help in every way. I will definitely give the dealership the opportunity when I am ready.
We ordered an LTV long distance from Geoff. We were attracted by the warranty so chose Craig Smith rather than a closer dealer. We recently drove to Ohio to pick it up.We love our new RV. But even more, we were and continue to be very impressed and pleased with the entire Craig Smith team. The whole delivery experience was first class. The stand outs were Geoff, Tracy, Jeremy (finance), Craig (master trouble shooter), Jeff (walk thru/instruction), staff in the onsite store. The cohesiveness/continuity of each department was outstanding. And the attitude and friendliness of every person we interacted with was positive. We must conclude that this is a company for which employees love to work. And the obvious high standards must originate from the very top of the organization.Since we left Ohio in our new LTV we have needed help with a few details. Tracy, Geoff & Jeff were readily available and solved our issues. We have owned multiple other RV’s and have never had a similar experience at a dealership.Thank you Craig Smith!
We were extremely disappointed in the RV that we rented through Craig Smith RV. Upon picking it up, we received no confirmation that the vehicle was inspected, and while on vacation discovered that the black water tank had NOT been emptied by the previous renter. The water line leaked to the point where we could not use the hook up, and when we called to report they showed no sympathy. We were not compensated for the faulty unit at all, nor for the parts we purchased in attempt to repair. We would not recommend this rental service.
We just purchased our second RV camper from Craig Smith. Craig Smith has a winning combination with their awesome sales team, knowledgeable finance associates and expert service techs. Each of you go above and beyond our expectations every time; whether we are buying a camper or come in for RV accessories. Thanks you to all Craig Smith employees for making our camper purchase quick and seamless. You are all a joy to work with and we are happy to recommend Craig Smith RV Center to anyone!!!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A+ on the walk through before leaving, also offered many extra items I could choose from to get my camping experience started. A special shout out to Jason who reach out to me after an web sight inquiry that got everything thing started. I feel that Im going to be one happy camper.
Kyle Fulk was our sales person. He was very helpful and patient while we looked at several campers and he was there every step of the way during the purchase, inspection and delivery. UPDATE (7/29/19): We have had our 2012 Cougar TT for a little over a month now. Our refrigerator broke after 1 1/2 weeks. Good thing we bought the extended warranty but unfortunately they will not come to your site for any service. We are only 20 miles from their service department. We had just gotten it leveled two days before and it’s 34 ft long so we were not excited about moving it. Fortunately one of our fellow campers told us about Tom at Suburban RV on Ashland Rd. Tom came to our site, diagnosed the problem and is honoring our warranty and putting in a brand new fridge tomorrow. Now I have discovered there is a water leak somewhere as part of our carpet has been wet for several days, but not it the area of the fridge. They obviously did not do a through job when going over the mechanics which we would not have known during a brief “walk through”. In addition, Jeff from service has told us he would repair part of the bed frame which had come off. He assured this would be done before we picked it up. It was not done. We do love the aesthetics but we are disappointed in the performance and service. I want to add that our salesman did offer to haul it back to Craig Smith’s for repair but as mentioned earlier that would have been a huge inconvenience and we would have been without our camper while they ordered the new fridge and then installed it, and then there’s the wet floor.... 😞
Stopped in with some curiosity about how much living space is in a camper. Sales person was quick to greet us and happy to show us the interior of a camper about the size we were thinking about. He was nice, informative, and not pushy or invasive. If we were to decide to buy, we would likely return here.
Excellent sales consultant Stephen Esiline really help me what I was looking for he will do w.3 in his power to get what you need always answer when asking him a question regarding a trailer told us places on the trailer of every description help in anyways really recommend him ..
Terrible experience today at Craig Smith. Salesman Kyle took us to everything outside our price range. Didnt know any prices on the units. Felt very pressured to by more than our price range. Also its not the best sales practice in my opinion to ask for my address and phone number before I even commit to anything. Also take notes from every other dealer and leave your stock unlocked so people can browse without a salesman hassling you the entire time.
If you’re looking for a new tractor, I highly recommend this place! Dan Boyd helped me make the right choice for my needs and financing was a snap! I’m new to Mahindra tractors, but during the time I’ve had to use it, I’ve experienced a user friendly and smooth operating machine! Great quality tractor at a great price👍🏻👍🏻
Sales rep wasn’t the greatest, loan officer messed up the paperwork so we ended up going back three times to get it corrected which was a royal pain. Service manager was EXCELLENT. Very knowledgeable and took time to walk is through everything that we needed explained on the camper. He gave me a personal walkthrough of the facilities and showed me all of the different departments in case we ever needed them. We were also in a time crunch and needed to pick up our camper quickly. The service team worked quickly to get it out the door for us which was greatly appreciated. My only major complaint about the process was the fact that they tried to sell me everything under the sun from the moment I stepped foot in the door. After a while it felt intrusive.Overall very pleased with my purchase!
Geoff and all the folks at Craig Smith were great to work with. They were very friendly and helpful. The walk thru with Jeff was excellent. He took the time to go over everything we needed for our motorhome. Thanks again to Geoff for calling us when he got a motorhome in that fit our needs.
Craig Smith has worked with me for over six months trying to find the right fit for me. Jason Myers worked with me from over 2000 miles away, So when I came home he was right there available with original agreement. I’m very pleased with their service, and plan on keeping my service with them from now on out.
Aaron Spangler was the rudest sales person I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. After I found the perfect RV here I requested more information and before I was able to return his call he emails me stating that he has been tracking my emails which is an incredible privacy violation. Then after I asked not to be contacted again he proceeded to email me again saying not to request information if I cant respond fast enough.I hope they can understand the need to work around the customers timeline, not the other way around and that speaking to a potential customer like that will not make the sale.
Aaron Spangler, Jeff, Andy, the mechanic Rick, I know Im forgetting names, basically everyone there was phenomenal!! We negotiated over the phone and via email, Aaron was great to deal with, we got a fantastic price, so we drove 8.5 hours one way to get it. We arrived and my truck was leaking brake fluid. Aaron quickly brought it next door to their Chevy Dealer and in a short time they had the truck back to us. Then we hooked up and quickly realized we couldnt turn due to the dump body bed. The entire service dept and Aaron our sales associate were calling all over Ohio to get us what we need. Overnight the next day the part was going to come. So they set us up for a night to sleep in our new camper with all the hook ups. The next morning they were back at it, installing my new reciever and troubleshooting once again finally getting us on our way home.Jeff did our walk through, he thought of everything, we ended up purchasing most of our accessories from them because of Jeff being so thorough and expressed a genuine sincerity to help us. This is our first camper and he did an outstanding job showing us everything. We couldve bought the stuff from Amazon, but Jeff earned every dollar we spent on accessories. The camper far exceeded our expectations, the fit and finish on our KZ Spree S333BHK is the best we have seen. We couldnt be happier. Aaron even maintained contact with us on our way home until we arrived safely. What could have been a disastrous trip for some, turned into a great experience filled with educational camping tips, learning about our camper, the friendliest helpful people I have ever met. I would call Aaron up in a heartbeat if i am ever in the market again for a camper, Ill probably call him when Im ready to buy a new truck! I would not have changed a thing about our buying experience from these guys. top shelf, great people, did not meet one employee that wasnt willing to go above and beyond. I have told many of our friends, if you dont buy from the only reputable dealer in our area, buy from this group and camp on your way home, makes a great trip.Thank you again to everyone that helped us, couldnt have done it without all of you!Rob and Jenn
They have no morals! All about the all mighty buck! They promised to hold an RV for us, and the very next day, sold it to someone else. They dont even have a title, and cant sell it yet anyway! I am appauled at the way this place does business. Do not do business with them! No apology or anything. We talked to them today on the phone, and they said nothing about selling it, and let us drive 90 miles over there before they had the guts to tell us they sold it!
Located the fiver that we have been searching for. However it was 8 hrs away as we live in NY. We reached out to make a connection. My Sales Rep Aaron was friendly and willing to work hard for the business. After negotiations and a few days later. We ageed on a great deal. I feel comfortable with the deal and not really bummed about the drive because they really did work hard to earn our bussiness. Even all the way from NY. They even are extendingtheir courtesy by accommodating us to stay stay in their lot with hookups and transfer things from out trade in to the new unit .first class compared to t he large box rv franchises!!!!!.
My wife and I recently purchased a Leisure Travel Vans - Unity RV. We were thrilled not only with the RV itself but with our entire purchase experience at Craig Smith RV Center in Galion, Ohio. This was our first RV purchase, and Brent Smith and his team, including Geoff Frontz in Sales, Raynette Curley in Finance, and Jeff Adams in Delivery, were all professional, courteous, and helpful in guiding us through that process. We would wholeheartedly recommend that you visit Craig Smith for your RV or other automotive needs.
We had an excellent experience at Craig Smith RV! The staff was friendly, customer service oriented, no pressure, and very responsive to all our questions and concerns!! We highly recommend Craig Smith RV and a very big thank you to Geoff, Jeff, Craig, and Raynette!!
To finish,John got me another car, because someone in body shop should have caught that, because John said the airbag wont deploy. He is so very bgood at his job and so caring. He gave me his flashlight to get into the car l was using. Thanks so much John.Craig Smith is lucky to have you.
I had the worse experience with them. Took my camper over to have the slide out adjusted and after doing all the paper work to drop it off they had me move the camper and as I was moving it one of the workers came out and was watching me back it up and let me back my camper into another customers camper. After I bumped it he walked back and took a picture of it and I asked how I could make it right with them and he told me to give them my insurance information and I said no I would pay cash to handle it but in my opinion he was watching me so I don’t believe it was 100% my fault I figured to be far they would have me pay for just the parts. Days went by I had to call and check in with them over and over to see how things was goin with them they didn’t seam concerned to contact me I mean they do everything in house shouldn’t they be able to get a estimate figured out within a couple hours nope no hurry. At this point I’ve called them 3 to 4 time and finally decided to stop in to talk to them. They told me my camper was unable to be fixed because it has to much water damage on the walls witch I don’t get sinces it’s an all aluminum frame and the walls show no signs or water damage but whatever at this point was was just worried about the other customers camper. I was there thinking I would take my camper with me and they told me they was just gonna hold it till the other camper was fixed so at this point they were basically holding my camper to make sure I would pay for the other one. After 6 weeks of dealing with this they finally called me to tell me everything was done so I go to pick my up and settle up with the other one and they gave me a bill for over $1,300.00 and keep in mind only a little over $300.00 of it was materals. I asked them if they could do any better and they told me no that’s the best they can do I don’t think that was right I would’ve been more then ok with paying for materal and thought they could cut me a deal on the $1,000.00 in labor but no they wouldn’t. So after I paid them I they brought my camper around so I go out to hook up to mine and not one person came out to see that I got hooked up to my camper ok or to help me back up to it and worse of all they never came out to show me what the problem was with my slide out. Just not very happy it was over a $1,300.00 trip there and for absolutely nothing. I know one thing I will never spend a dime with craigsmith again the rv side or the automotive side it was the worse experience I have ever had with a business and I will be sure to tell everyone about it. I will do my best to make sure everyone that I know that has a camper not to mess with Craigsmith after the way they treated me. I lost over $1,300.00 with with that place and me and the other guy lost 6 weeks of time that I didn’t have our campers to use. My opinion piss pour service
Had my motor home serviced here always good results and friendly employees. Only complaint is they dont service heater cores. No one in Richland county does had to go to polk Ohio. Would be nice if they would add this as it involves taking the front of the coach apart on a diesel.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Went and looked at a used RV. The salesperson was awesome. We looked at it and 2 days later but a bid in on it and we agreed on a price. I refused to pay the $599 prep fee due to if I buy a used car it is inspected and things corrected prior to me buying it and they clean it/detail it free of charge. That is business. So they stated it was included in the price. Perfect! No not really!!!! The unit was delivered to me late on a Saturday. The man who delivered it was wonderful and helped set it up. After he left and we finished setting it up we realized our hose for the water was to short. So we left and went and got a new one, some groceries and dinner. Get back open the fridge door to put the groceries away and there are ROACHES all over the inside of the fridge (I have a huge phobia of these nasty bugs). I have never had roaches before so I researched all night that night on how to get rid of them. So in the morning (Sunday) my husband goes and buys foggers, gel and roach motels. We lay out the roach motels everywhere, put the gel down on surfaces and set the bombs up (as we are doing this they are on the ceiling now and do NOT care we are here and we FIND dead ROACHES in the cabinets!!!). We leave and set off the bombs. I sent a text to my salesman and the owner ended up calling me back. He said he WILL make this right. We get home later and walk in and there are 3 roaches right there still kicking and walking around. So Monday morning we talk to the owner again. And decide to wait a couple of days to give the bombs, roach motels and gels to take some affect on the roaches. At that time the owner ask me if I took pictures of them. UM NO!! My first instinct is to kill them not take pictures/videos of them. They offered to come and take the unit and bomb it. My thought process is I just did that.. so we need something else.. an exterminator!! And also my big question was How did prep miss this??? There are even dead ones they left in the cabinets..so you can not tell me they did not know. And in prep they are supposed to clean the unit. Nope they didnt do that EITHER!!! So now we are at Friday and I wake up to the bugs crawling on my bedroom ceiling and one DEAD in my bed!!! Where I was sleeping. And it isnt just the bugs!!! (like if that isnt bad enough) we were told at the walk thru that the antenna was working and all hooked up ready to go (we paid cash and bought the unit as is). We couldnt get the antenna to work. We thought it was user error. My husband went on the roof this week to put a new Sim card in the Wingard we had them install. He comes down and informs me why he is up there he figured out why the antenna did not work... the CABLE was SPLICED!!! So how did it work when they tested it? We were told everything worked on the unit. Went to take a shower and the hot water nob.. DOESNT work. We have to use plyers to turn it on. We have ordered new hardware for the shower and my husband has been watching youtube videos on how to fix the antenna. They could have been honest and said those items did not work. We would have still bought it... but if I knew about the ROACHES!!! That would have been a deal breaker. Prep did not clean or inspect the RV as they were supposed to or as we were told they did. The unit should have never of left with roaches in it and to even leave the dead ones in the cabinets is disgusting!!!! These people LIED to us.. did not CLEAN and or INSPECT the unit. They are sending an exterminator but not a response on all the lies. This is are first RV purchase and lots of lessons learned of what not to do next time. The #1 lesson DO NOT GO TO THIS RV DEALERSHIP!!! Salesman was wonderful and needs a position at a stand up company.
We found an ad for a used popup camper @ Craig Smith in Galion & went out to see it. The sales people were very nice. I particularly recommend Ryan Meeks assistant sales manager & Renae in the parts department. VERY nice, VERY helpful & easy to work with. Renae & I communicated via text several times regarding parts that we ordered which I appreciated very much. (she is a real GEM!) Our salesman, Geoff, told us that he went over our unit the day before we picked it up to make sure everything worked ok...that was impressive. I found the facility to be very clean & appreciated that the units we were looking at were all inside the building. I would recommend this RV dealer.
The 12v inverter fried. The first quote was $1,200, and I fried.Stopped in to see the damage, and was told that the $500 part replacement was an error, it was only $269. I sizzled. I asked what the labor rate was. . . $119/hr. I was cooked.I can get a new inverter for $123 straight from the manufacturer. Their quote is price gouging. But wait! ! ! theres more! ! ! ! For only $59.95, they will clean your battery terminals and adjust the water level. . . thats right, for $60+tax, they can do this menial task.I can understand making a profit, but this is outright wrong. The mechanic on my vette charges $80/hr. I can get a house electrician for $60/hrSo, for them to remove 4 screws pull the cover on the inverter and look at it cost me $191. That wont ever happen again.I can understand $119/hr for a skilled mechanic rebuilding an engine, or transmission. But to use that same rate for basic labor. . . I dont understand. I do understand cost accounting and spreading of overhead and fixed costs, but consumer also understands the market deserves reasonable pricing.
My husband, Jim and I, just purchased our 2nd Travel Trailer from Scott Smith & Randy Brown. Words cannot be expressed on how much we appreciate these two gentlemens customer service, concern, care and compassion about our needs. For the past two years, Jim and I have always recommended Craig Smith RV Center to all of our friends, acquaintances, and business associates. Their customer service care is OUTSTANDING!!! Hats off to Randy and Scott for taking care of Jim and I. You guys ROCK!!!
Craig Smith RV people are great we have never owned a camper and they looked at my SUV and looked up how much I could pull and the hitch that I needed and which campers that I could choose from. The people are very nice answered all of our questions with out making us feel stupid. Great Job
I thought Camping World was the worse place to go I was wrong this place is. We have them a list of things that needed fixing and not all items were fixed. They damaged one side of our RV and did not tell us. When we told them they said they did not do it. It was NOT there when we brought it there. They were friendly at first until after they got our $2000. Had I seen the damage first I would have withheld payment. Now we have to get a lawyer to fight them on this. DO NOT LET THEM SERVICE YOUR RV.😞😞😞😞
Would not recommend this place to worst enemy..bought brand new camper..paid cash..camp in it 3 times ..stove dont work hot water tank dont work..outside siding coming off..awning lights dont work ..bottom cabinet cracked .. sewer light didnt work..took in have repair..tried to charge and still under warranty..did even have a year. Took in last of August..when we called said parts not in and some parts not under warranty..well after a long talk they finally got that was under warranty..ask would be done at least by oct 1st we had made plans for fall camping..well as of oct no word so we called they said parts not in but we could come get the camper and use till they come in.. well cant use camper if not fixed..very rude ..I even ask just to trade and they said they didnt have any available..so if your looking for a camper stay away from these people..
Where else can you see this many RV s inside in a climate controlled showroom. The staff is always helpful and plenty of options with everything. They also have a parts dept too. Can be very handy and open on Saturday. Plus service. If you consider getting an RV then go here.
Nothing but problems and headaches. My parents spent $56,000 on their motorhome and one thing after another has been wrong. First they had the couch scotchguarded and now the microfiber is peeling off. They took it to show the dealer and they said it was my parents fault. Next their radio was not working and they installed a new one telling them that it was Sirius ready. I called Sirius and the dont even support that radio anymore. Overall just poor customer service after the sale. Shame on you for taking advantage of older people. Now we can cant get anyone to call us or talk to is about the problems.
I am very displeased with craigslist RV when we bought last year immediately had problems with camper took a month to take possession of it took one trip right back in shop for another 2 weeks took in for my first yearly inspection that cost 198 a year to get done or you loose your warranty bought extended warranty also bs they have had camper another month this year still havent gotten it back very displeased will never buy another product from them cant camp or anything every excuse in the world why its not ready bs
I can not say enough good about this place, they have been fantastic to work with from the initial purchase, to the day we went and picked up our new keystone sprinter 5th wheel in a severe thunderstorm, having to transfer the contents from our previous camper to the new one, to them going above and beyond in helping us getting our title transferred from Ohio to Pennsylvania.
Tried to order a set of keys for my camper took over 3 weeks and several calls finally they called saying they were in i drove all the way from Ashland after work to find the parts counter was closed and no one could just go get the keys that had all ready been paid for the bad part is i told the woman the day before that i would be there before 430 she never said a word about close at 4 what a waste of gas and time

2022-03-26I recently bought my latest RV from Craig Smith RV. I am not from Ohio. This dealership had the RV I was looking for at a price I wanted. My dealer, Vincent, was able to work with me via email and phone calls. I am very pleased with the service I received and would recommend them. The service department ensured I knew how to operate everything in the RV.

2022-01-18Everyone we’ve ever worked with at Craig Smith RV has been absolutely amazing! We bought our camper 4 years ago from them and have been going back ever since. I would highly recommend checking them out. The service department has also been phenomenal to work with. Everyone is so personable, and a pleasure to work with!

2022-05-04Geoff is the best salesman! Hes funny, but knowledgeable and I had a great timing touring RVs with him. He made me feel extremely welcomed and was so sweet to my 4 year old daughter. While I wasnt able to purchase an RV this trip, I have bought a car from Craig Smith in the past and had a wonderful experience. Arty was great, and even called my to personally offer his condolences after my grandmother passed away shortly after my purchase.

2022-05-26I brought a tractor and traded my camper for a newer one. The salesmen were very helpful and knowledgeable. On most purchases financed, when you get to the finance department there always seems to be an up charge or the payment is more than you wanted to pay. not here, I had a great experience. With a great deal.

2022-05-24Our RV service advisor Seth Schwertfager is one of the main reasons we appreciate doing business with Craig Smith RV. He has taken personal interest in our older camper as if it were his own. He has shown great attention to detail and has kept us informed at each step. He has guided our decision making about the best options to achieve our goals in upgrading our camper’s appearance and performance. He has gone above and beyond, and we are very appreciative of his efforts to insure that we are entirely satisfied.Jim and Diane GoodrichMount Vernon Ohio

2022-06-22I am glad I purchased my Leisure Travel Unity RV from Craig Smith RV.My salesman, Geoffery, is very helpful and goes out of his way to make for a great customer experience. He always kept me updated and if he didnt know the answer to one of my questions he would take the time to find out the answer and get back with me. When I picked up my RV all the other people I met there, Scott, Laura, Jeremy and Alex were very professional and helpful. I would recommend to anybody to purchase their RV from Craig Smith. You wont be treated better anywhere else.

2022-04-12Seth and the crew at Craig Smith RV Center went out of their way to repair our AC unit in our RV to meet atrip deadline to Arizona by March 28th.The Colman AC unit was on back order with no arrival date given. The lovely lady in the parts department found a compatible unit through another vendor. The unit arrived one week before our departure date. The team installed the unit on a Thursday, we went to pick up our RV on Friday and left for Arizona on a Wednesday ,just in time to meet our deadline for our new job as Camp Host in the Prescott National Forest.Craig Smith RV Center and our insurance company Progressive worked together to make this a very positive experience.A perk of dealing with Craig Smith RV Center was we received a call from Seth one we arrived in Arizonato make sure our new AC replacement unit was working and that we had a safe trip!I would highly recommend Craig Smith RV Center for all your camper or RV needs.

2022-05-03I recently received an e-mail from Craig Smith RV Center for the purpose of soliciting 3 used Leisure Travel RVs. The e-mail includes 2 prices for each unit; a cash purchase price and a financed purchase price. For each unit, the cash purchase price is $5k higher than the financed purchase price. Before buying a unit from Craig Smith RV Center, have the manager layout the loan terms and the commission they receive from the lending institution. Then ask yourself, if I did business with another dealership, would I be expected to pay a $5k financing commission by paying cash? What happens if I secure my own financing? The right answer is to be fair with your customer. When it doesn’t feel right, just walk away. It’s not worth it. You worked too hard for your money.

2022-06-15John, our sales person, was first rate. He answered all our questions and got us into our RV without a hitch. Start to finish, the experience at Craig Smith was very favorable. We drove from IL to make our purchase of our “new” used LTV. The indoor showroom is huge and a nice bonus so you don’t have to worry about weather when shopping.
