Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in other cities:
Gr8 place to eat. My fiance John works at this location and he loves it. The food is gr8, the servers are gr8, the cooks are awesome and the dishwashers are outstanding. Go check it out for ur self and youll see for ur self that everything I just said was nothing but the truth. Very clean environment. Thanks John
Ordered meat loaf at lunch. It was pile of ground beef no loaf. Potatoes were runny and flavorless. When I left the car I took to the car wash yesterday had the lawn sprinklers turned on it and water spots were everywhere and the manager didnt really care. This is the worst cracker barrell Ive ever eaten at.
This place is becoming a fast food restaurant. However, its not fast food prices. I ordered the Sunday chicken breast with sides. The chicken came out lukewarm to cool and tasted like it had been sitting back there for a while. The mashed potatoes were hard and cold. The only thing that was hot, was my corn and green beans. They were very busy and the waitress said they were somewhat short-handed. I will still go back and eat there, though.
Very good servers and theyre all very polite. I had gotten hashbrown casserole instead of mashed potatoes (not complaining, both were VERY good) i had ordered and she brought me a bowl of mashed potatoes free of charge even after i told her not to worry. An Arnold Palmer was amazing. Im also a huge history buff and got this picture of lecturers at ohio state in 1940.
Room was not clean upon arrival! Fire alarm went off twice, at midnight and 1 am! Asked front desk to ask housekeeping to clean our room in the morning after breakfast. We were gone for several hours, and our room did not get cleaned! (But that was probably the front desks fault - they SAID they would leave a note!)
Cracker Barrel is generally one of my least favorite places to eat. Not because anything they do or have is bad, I just dont like homestyle cooking. Why go out to have something that tastes like you stayed at home? Having said that, their pancakes are the best in the business and my first choice when we go.
Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away. Server did her part correctly. On previous visits I always ordered the grilled pork chops with 2 sides & biscuits. Today I was told I could only get the pork chops for the Saturday Special. I ended up getting the hamburger steak. It was good but still want the pork chops whenever I visit.
Very busy but was seated quickly. Lots of shoppers in the store section with so many awesome things to pick from. Staff were very nice. Waitress very accommodating and the food... Large servings and Delicious!!! Was taken for a birthday celebration. I didnt pay the bill but prices seemed reasonable on the menu.
Deb was the hostess who took us to our table and got us settled in. She was warm, friendly, personable, and ensured we all were comfortable. Our waitress Rhonda was outstanding! I can’t sing enough praises about this woman. She went above and beyond for me and my family, but especially for my daughter who has ASD. She was so sweet, welcoming, accepting and inclusive of my daughter, even so much as to bring out a small bowl of raw fruits and veggies my daughter just wanted to play with/ test out texture wise for free and because of her kindness my daughter left actually trying each one and even trying a different meat today. Rhonda was attentive to our needs at all times and made sure to check in with us and ensure we had everything we needed. I left a restaurant feeling like for the first time my daughter and family were treated with respect, thoughtfulness, generosity, and compassion, while still receiving an amazing meal (thank you to the cooks, dishwashers, cleaners, everyone who made it possible for our meal to be served with cleanliness, superb deliciousness, kept the extras coming, and made sure our food came out at a reasonable amount of time.) I loved witnessing the hostess Deb not only doing her job but helping out where she could not expecting anything in return. She even came over and helped our waitress Rhonda without being asked and her kindness shone through. Not only that, but after the meal my family was leaving to pay up front and I took care of the trash, stacked the plates, and cups, and wiped down the table. My heart melted when Rhonda hugged me and said thank you and that I made her job so much easier and that I was so sweet. I thanked her but I wasn’t being sweet. I was being respectful. All I had to say to this beautiful, hardworking, compassionate woman was that I know her job can be stressful, tiring, and that sometimes she receives customers unlike my family that take things out on their waitresses or waiters or hostesses and I wanted her to know that it was not okay and she deserved to be treated this way. I will never forget the experience I had at this Cracker Barrel thanks to the warm and friendly hostess Deb and the thoughtful, attentive, and compassionate waitress Rhonda. They both deserve raises and they will be in my prayers forever for serving us so well!
A great place. Everything weve eaten there has been delicious. With all day breakfast, my husband is always happy🙂 I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes & broccoli😋 Love the decor, takes you back. The attached store has lots of items to catch your attention! Their people deserve a few more ⭐ They are superb!
We try to make it to the Harrison OH location for breakfast at least once per month...usually 2-3x during fall/winter. We have had excellent service from the wait staff, hostesses and especially the gift shop employees. We have been going for a few years and we see several of the same faces on the staff each time which tells me that the service is indicative of the overall operations of that location. Looking forward to the next time already
Were from Appleton Wisconsin and Jeanette was starving. We took the off ramp when we seen the Cracker barrel sign. Pulled into the parking lot and ran into the restaurant. I asked if they were still serving . It was 9;47pm. The hostess very nicely said. Yes we are. We ordered quick. Got our food to go. It was delicious 😋. Thank you Cracker barrel.
Our travel breakfast stop is typically Cracker Barrel, specifically because we know what were getting. They all overcook the steak, but at least its seasoned well and tastes good. We felt we also got really good service at this location, the staff were friendly and attentive.
Absolutely worst service I have ever had at Cracker Barrel. Only gave one star because food was good. We had to ask twice for silver ware. By the time we got it, our food was getting cold. Our tea glasses sat empty for nearly 10 minutes. Terrible service. Someone needs some training.
Food was good I personally do not like the taste of their sausage. Eggs were prepared orrectly. Food temp was okay. Hostess who was seating people was slow. We were sat before two tables and were the last to get greeted on a slow morning. I have visited other Cracker Barrel restaurants in other states and this visit was average.
Usually I have great food. Always good service. I ordered the trout this time out and it tasted extremely fishy. Im not much of a fish eater but I have had the trout before and it wasnt fishy Smelling or tasting. Either I received old fish or a different type of fish. Wont order that again.
Good food waitress sounded unhappy while she was taking ordersEDIT Match 7, 2021: It was a busy Sunday afternoon, after church so the place is packed, get a 50 minute wait so we went across the street to bigs to pass the time.About 55 minutes later we are seated and asked for our drinks right away. I went to the bathroom expecting it to take a few minutes, and the waitress already brought our drinks out. 2 minutes later she returned and took our orders.I got the burger, took about 10 minutes for the food to come out. This was one of the best burgers Ive had in awhile. Would highly recommend. Waitress was nice and fast. Enjoyed.
VERY unhappy they dont have blackberry 😔😤😡pancakes.... I was with my grandparents and my grandma and I wanted blackberry pancakes that is Our Favorite. And they dont have Omelettes who in the heck doesnt have omelets Cracker Barrel doesnt have any Omelettes apparently I wanted toast but they ended up with Biscuits and gravy.... Customer service is number 1 the waiter didnt even check if everything was okay and the food was not good at all. And you have to ask for jelly ill only go on Wednesday and they Raise to the prices the bill was 30.00$ not happy........
Who not allow phone in order, due to fathers day, however, entire menu mainly daily specials, couldnt be order online nor on app. So, had to come in and order in person and wait. Instead, of calling in and picking up already prepared order. It wasnt even extremely crowded. Time wasting and unfair for customers ordering to go. I just wont eat there on holidays.
Cracked Barrel is doing a good job of handling the COVID-19 situation. Their dining room is plenty large enough to handle social distancing, and their employees consistently wear masks and gloves. The dining area is very clean. Our food was good and served in a timely manner. This is a place I feel comfortable eating due to the safety measures they are following.
Cracker barrel used to be one of my favorites. Like a lot of other restaurants, after covid came around service has went downhill. Ive always had great service at every cracker barrel till covid. Now there up against the same thing as everyone else. Cant find any workers...
The food was good and the service was very attentive and friendly. But 2 things. The first thing really cant be resolved - between the music and all the chatter it is hard to hear the people at your own table. Sound really bounces. The second is easy to fix. If someone comes in struggling using a walker, dont seat them at a table at the other end of the restaurant.
Felicity was our server. She did ok. Eggs & steak were over cooked but nothing I couldnt live with. She kept my water & ice tea glass full. She never asked how my food was. There was a manager out in the dining room but never came over to check on us or ask how the food or service was. I would go back, but, just a little bit disappointed in cracker barrel service & standards.
My server was a delight and extremely good at her job. When I paid, the cashier told me the servers name is Jamie Duffy but I remember seeing her middle name as Jane on her apron. All employees were very helpful and friendly during the 40 minute wait. I would definitely go back to that location.
Dinner at 5:30 on a Thursday and the restaurant was busy but not crowded. Party of five. Our service was great. The items on the menu wont break the bank. We had a couple of the combination sampler dinners, chicken and dumplings and turkey and dressing dinners. Although it did take a while for the food to come out, everything came out hot and delicious.
Catfish was very good as was the service. Comfort food at its finest.. Atmosphere was inviting and that of my younger years with the fireplace and its warmth providing a hug of yesteryears pace that wasnt so fast and hurried. My friend and I sat down and enjoyed our conversation and werent rushed. A happy change in this high-speed world we lose ourselves in daily. Thanks for the use of you Time Machine!Mikal
Cracker Barrel is always good weather u r eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, very good food and has just a good atmosphere, and the Old Country Store I love love it, has SOOOO many cute Items to buy, just love eating and shopping at the Cracker Barrel, definitely would give more than 5 stars,
This location was pretty good. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was like your typical cracker barrel. The only issue I had with the place is the portions are small and for the most part not very healthy. Usually packed with calories and salt. Ok every once in a while but wouldnt make a habit of going there too often.
I enjoyed my meal. Fish and mac n cheese. It was very filling. I have not been to a checker barrel in a long time. The food and portions are not the same anymore. But I did enjoy the country store. The selection is wonderful and I love to browse the shop while waiting to be seated or after eating. The one thing I always purchase is the real sugar peppermint sticks. They are so good. I will be back...
Service was decent. Food quality was good. Presentation is lacking when 2 eggs and 2 pieces of meat come on a giant plate and you feel shorted due to the extra plate space yet you grits, biscuits and gravy are crammed on a smaller plate! LOLClean environment and nice merchandise. Ill eat here again.
We arrived around 7:45 p.m. Restaurant was fairly empty but the hostess sat us right next to a table with a dog. Our server took a very long time to show up. Dropped the check with the food. We waited around wanting to order dessert. She finally came, took the order but did not clear the table. While we waited we stacked dishes pushing them to the side. She delivered dessert and left all the dinner plates. Food was good but the service was awful.
Pleasantly surprised and excited to see this location taking masks and social distancing as seriously as they are. I know that can sadly be politically contentious, but as someone who works in area hospitals, this is the right decision, especially considering the age demographic.Food, prices, and service are always good!
I stopped by on a busy night, surprisingly so for a Tuesday. I was traveling from Michigan to Tennessee and was tired and hungry. The food was great and the service even better. My drink was never empty and she kept me updated on when my meal was almost out, which was not long after I placed the order. Also I dont know if they were short staffed but I believe the manager waited on me, which altogether left me with a good impression.
Went & had Apple strussle pecan pie a la mode. Very very good pie. The service wasnt awesome because I sat there at least 5 minutes before anyone approached me after I was seated but I didnt mind. My girlfriend works there & I had time to kill anyway. Still good pie & the waitress was very nice.
This experience was not the best. My fried chicken was warmish and dry. The server came back only when we needed the check. Having been a server for over 12 years, I was not impressed. The one upside to it was our food came out super fast, especially for as busy as they were and Im sure its because all food is sitting ready to go. Lastly the fried okra was hard, i couldnt eat it.
The food was fine, but the safety measures in place were inadequate. There are lattice sectioning areas off. The way they setup every other table you are sitting less than 2 feet away from another table with only lattice between you. Lattice has lots of openings in it and does not act as a barrier for the spread of COVID. Unless they change this the place is unsafe for dining. When we mentioned it to the manager he said ok. Then yet another group was seated right beside us again! I did not get honk the manager took my concerns sincerely otherwise he would have blocked eating at tye table right next to us. I also suggested if they are going to keep it the way it was, they should put up plastic. I won’t be back to find out!
The WORST customer service EVER!! They can get a takeout order right for anything. Picked up order a whole meal was missing. Had to call to have that then discovered our bread was missing. The girl went back in to get the bread and then on her way out she stopped to talk to someone. Standing and talking then walked into the parking lot while still holding the bread. Then on top of it the greens I ordered was lay on the side with all the juice of it in the bottom of the bag. This store has never gotten an order for take out that I have picked up right . I will not be back to this store.
My food and the waitress were great. I ordered ato go and they said it would be out by register. I also spent several dollars on gifts. I also paid for the extra dinner. I got home and the dinner was not there in my bag so my husband didnt get his dinner. I called and complained and they said I could come down anytime to pickup. I live in the West side and I am handicapped. Thats not always possible. So I am unhappy. But the food is still great.
I was really impressed with this location. It was packed just like most locations. We were lucky enough to get seated immediately at a table and the hostess brought us a bassinet holder that affixed directly to an adult chair - nifty! It was chilly and they had the fire going which felt cozy. This is the only location that has gotten my scrambled eggs with American cheese right - the whites were cooked and the cheese was gooey just like I like it. The service was great and, of course, I had to shop at the little store for rain boots before leaving. Kudos guys and gals!
A little disappointed this time... The place had plenty of tables and we asked if we could sit by the window. The host frowned on our request; said they were supposed to place us in a rotation for their servers. We wound up in a dark back corner. Surely will not be back...
I always go out of my way to hit the local Cracker Barrel for breakfast. This one is no exception to the big chains brand of greatness. It is every thing you have to to expect in the chain. The food was great (Biscuits and gravy) and the service was really a step above and beyond.Their gift shop seemed a bit smaller than usual but that is ok with me , as I never get caught up in that tourist trap are of the place.PSAvoid rush / peek hours during lunch or breakfast or you will be waiting in a line.
I ordered last time a cheeseburger and it was just fine, but the bread was not very good. I recommend the 14 hours-cooked meat, is so good! The options are good and the place is kind of cozy. This has the best broccoli I have ate in a long while. My favorite thing about this place was that I drank for cokes and I only paid one. Thats what I like!
Best steak I have ever had. I will definitely be going back. Our waitress was a complete sweetheart and very attentive to us and those around us who were at tables that were not even hers. I was very impressed as a former waitress I tend to be a little hard sometimes on waitresses but Aleynah was amazing!
Love the front store aspect of Cracker Barrel!!! Not a fan of how at this location the hostess calls you up when your table is ready then they stand there having a conversation with the other two hostess while nonchalantly getting our menus and silverware ready. Nothing like a group of 8 and a baby in a carseat blocking the entrance to the restaurant in an already packed store. Food here is always good and our waitress was great. Just not the greatest arrival.
Pricing was excellent but food was only ok. We arrived an hour and 20 till close. Most of the food we received was cold or hard from sitting on warmer too long. Corn bread was cold and rock hard. Server was not the greatest. Our drinks needed refilled for over 15 minutes.
The Food is Very Good for the type that it is (Down Home Comfort Food), Not a lot of choices for those with gluten sencetivity. The servers are usually very attentive and New Ones are followed by a trainer. It isnt a place for large groups that wish to be able to hear conversations at both ends of the Table. All of the Cracker Barrels Ive been to seem to be loud to Me.
Just came from harrison cracker barrel, was very disappointed. Went specifically for BlackBerry pancakes, they were discontinued. Got 2 eggs om they were hard got sausage wanted toast got biscuits and didnt want grits or gravy was $8.99 and the the sausage was burntWe thought since no bb pancakes we would do an outlet but you dont have them either. Wont be back for breakfast and you werent busy on a Saturday so maybe you need to check out the problem. Higher prices and less food never works.
We encountered a Super friendly wait staff (waitress was Vicki) who were eager to be back to work again with new CDC recommended guidelines in place to keep customers safe through the COVID outbreak. Their menu is a little stripped down but the food is the same great quality I have come to expect from a CB
Went out for a birthday dinner with my hubby and got poor service from our server. She only came by after a manager told her when did have our drinks yet after sitting there for 15 minutes. We ordered right away with our drinks also. When we finally got our dinner from a different server, she stopped by to say I got the last daily special and laughed. Then stopped by to give us our bill and say sorry for the service. That is right she came over 3 times. She didnt take the time to listen to our order correctly. I had to ask someone else for lemon for my water after asking for it when I ordered it. Had to ask for cottage cheese a second time after I also ordered it . We got our bill and we asked for boxes for our leftovers and she brought one. Asked for extra cornbread and got none. I understand that people have off days but we were not the only table with poor service from her. Thank gosh the food was good.
What can you say about Cracker Barrel? Its simply the best no matter which one you go to. We plan trips around locations of Cracker Barrel. And if you have to wait awhile for a table, there are plenty of beautiful, cute and funny seasonable items in their store. Its hard to just eat there and get away without buying something from the shop. I recommend a jar of spiced apples to take home!
Just left Harrison cracker barrel, by far worst meal and service weve ever gotten in this location. Waitress was slow, brought wrong items, had to ask for refills, condiments were missing from our table. Food brought out in wrong order and with missing items. I bit into a grape tomato in my salad and had to spit it out because It was rotten. It wasnt even busy at the time, so no excuses. By the time we were leaving there was a line out the door, I so wanted to warn them to leave and go anywhere else to eat. My husbands steak was over cooked, and they brought him the wrong salad dressing. They normally send out four biscuits, but only sent out two. His salad was missing part of the normal toppings. Wow. Not a good experience for the Money.
This was a very bad experience! We had high hopes? We passed a bob Evans & we should have went there! The bacon, sausage & ham they all tasted the same, its like they all sate in the same warmer in the kitchen! The eggs over easy they were so like dried carbard. My sons biscuits and gravy The gravy was so thick if you could have stuck an ear corn on its end it would have stood in place without falling over,The Bacon was under cook😱 For the 3 us we paid $30.00 for bad food! We tipped the waitress $5.00 tip. After all the its not her fault the COOK CANT COOKstay away save your money and go to Bob Evans even White Castle would have been better than Cracker Barrel.
No matter where you are if there is a Cracker Barrel you need to stop. Besides the great food they have tons of other diverse stuff. Lot of tourist type things and other stuff as well. I am particularly fond of the “Chow Chow” a pickle relish to die for. I would almost eat it on ice cream ! Cokes in the old green bottles. You don’t want to admit remembering these as it dates you. Many old soda pop flavors only us old folk remember. Candy??? Everything you can think of. This is a franchise that strives for excellence in product and service. Everyone is nice and helpful.Complaint: what’s with the funky locations ?? Every one of these places is situated like an English maze to wind your way through to get to the parking. Too strange for there not to be a reason. Would love to know what it is. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars. Great place.
Gravy has that fake liquid smoke flavor. Couldnt eat it. On the upside the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy but also very greasy. My eggs arrived exactly as ordered: over medium. They get points for carrying REAL maple syrup. Thats impressive and I will order the pancakes next time to try it out. I got no stomach ache afterward which doesnt happen often when eating chain food. Was seated quickly and wait staff were friendly.
The service was slow. The food is great however. I really liked the food. The big kicker was when it took them 30 minutes to bring out my food. Definitely understand how hard it is to make really good food really fast, but it seemed a little too slow. Still, I enjoyed the food.
My family and I spent the day at Christ Hospital in Cincinatti and wanted to eat and go home. We are familiar with this restarant being quick and the menu would suit a variety of tastes so I recommended it. We ordered our meals and when the food came out for other family members, my order, Fried Chicken, was going to be another 10 minutes. What? Were they just now getting the order? I wasnt asked if there was another selection I would like to make with choices that are ready to serve. The waitress said she would take the cost of my drink off the bill for my inconvenience. I was so insulted. My family felt uncomfortable eating while I sat and watched them eat. The chicken came out and it tasted burnt, it was horrilbe. I wont order it again. Will think twice before I suggest this place when tired and in a hurry.
Everything was great. Easy to find, large parking lot, friendly staff, and delicious food. I was in a veggie mood so I had pintos, turnup greens and the kale brussel sprout salad. It was awesome. They brought me chow chow and an onion for my beans. Southern cooking at its finest.

2022-01-05It was an extremely sad day for the family We had just left grandpas burial and it was a cold Windy day and the restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly and we all enjoyed the fireplace with the big fire burning it was a nice relief from the cold I personally found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful we had a lot of kids there our order was taken swiftly and the food was brought to the tables very timely. My hamburger and french fries were absolutely perfect I know that is the go to meal for some people such as myself not expecting something spectacular just wanting a good burger but let me tell you right now that hamburger along with the service was cooked perfectly and I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel location for a good time and a great meal with family or friends.

2022-05-28The place was absolutely hopping on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend! My server Misty never missed a beat, and had a smile warmer than the fireplace wouldve been had it been lit. I was told 25 minutes to wait, but it took less than 10 to be seated at a clean table. Less than 10 minutes after that I had my Friday night Fish Fry and the fish was really good! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, clean restroom... everyone was all smiles for the entire visit. Penultimate Cracker Barrel experience.

2021-12-22Ordered 2 hrs ahead nobody seemed to know about my order. They finally found it. 30 minutes later I get the order. Told theyre out of straws for my tea. I take the order to my car and find this, not even warm! Apparently been setting off to the side for an hour, forgotten!

2022-03-07We just left the Cracker Barrel location in Harrison. Worst experience ever!!! I have always enjoyed eating there and was so looking forward to it tonight. I worked 2 jobs today and had not eaten all day. We placed our order and 40 minutes later we were told that they were out of the pork chops I ordered. Why did it take so long to figure this out??? The server asked me if I wanted to order something else, and I told her I didnt want to wait another 40 minutes. She said that it wouldnt take that long depending on what I ordered so I was at the mercy of choosing something that I felt was already cooked. After the 40 minute wait, they brought out my husbands meatloaf and mashed potatoes which were cold. They offered to put it in the microwave. My granddaughter ordered the mini cheeseburgers with tater tots. The buns and the meat were hard, so she could only eat the tater tots. The manager said she could get me something else and my husband told her I liked the chicken and dumplings so she brought a plate of that out. She asked me if I wanted the same sides I had ordered and I said no because the sides I had ordered wouldnt go with chicken and dumplings so I got no sides. We never got our cornbread and biscuits until I mentioned that right before we left. The manager then came back out and said that we wouldnt be charged. How ridiculous since mostly none of the food that came out was edible. My granddaughter and I had shopped before we were seated and I spent over $60 in the store. I am very disappointed in the lack of concern by the manager. I work in retail and I always make sure that I do everything I can to remedy a bad experience. I have never complained before but this was unacceptable. A total lack of communication between the kitchen and the server. The server apologized but by then there was no fixing it. At the very least we should have been offered a gift card.

2022-07-04If you’re on a road trip you HAVE to stop by a Cracker Barrel at some point during your trip! We came from Illinois and we don’t have too many Cracker Barrel’s by us, so as soon as we saw this one, we had to stop! We loved this location, super friendly staff and our waitress was just such a sweetheart, genuinely such a nice person. Wish I could remember her name! Our breakfast was Amazing! And the French toast was to die for!!! Thanks for showing us such great hospitality!

2022-07-11Our waitress, Mariah, was super accommodating to our dietary needs - excellent service.I ordered two over easy eggs, sirloin steak, a side of grits with cheese, and the strawberry cream cheese pancakes. Aside from the steak being tough and still bleeding somehow along with the fact that it and the grits being entirely flavorless, everything else was good. The lack of flavor in the food is what gave this four stars rather than five.

2022-05-11Food was cooked excellent tonight!!! And our server McKenzie (i think this is how she spells it) was outstanding at her job! As a perfectionist of a server myself, i am very picky about servers taking care of me and she did it all right! 😉 Anyway good experience today!!!
