Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in other cities:
Didnt start too well. First stop the bathroom. Dirty. Smelled like pee that had been there a while. Floors wet around the urinals and toilets. After the bathroom experience, went to the host area and waited a good 5 minutes until a young man approached and instead of asking me how I was or apologizing for me having to wait, just asked how many then proceeded to walk 5 steps in front of me then slapped the menus down on the table not even turning around to make sure I knew where I was going. He kept walking away. Our waitress was pleasant. Kayla was her name. Overall this restaurant needs some serious adjustments. Before anyone comments on such a poor review, I spend a lot of time on the road and make Cracker Barrel my go to place. I expect more out of the chain.
Food came out cool for all three of us. My chicken wasnt cooked but brought out veggies and potatoes. It was good when it finally came out. They gave us our meals because of the kitchen problems which was a good PR move. Server did a good job. Well no doubt go there again dispite they problems today.
Always a great dinner, for me its the roast beef dinner, with corn, green beans, and carrots, sour dough bread with strawberry jelly!! Hits the spot every time. And then being able to shop in the front space is always a great experience, with all the eclectic pieces they have!!
We go once or twice a month, have yet to meet an unfriendly staffer. Im not fond of the old timey decor, thats because it sends my husband into an old timey rant about how things used to be... Hes 45 folks!! Otherwise, I enjoy the meals and the awesome service! I go knowing that Im going to have to tip well for good food and service.
Went in the Hilliar Rome location around 7:50pm sat down for 15 minutes before a waitess came to our table for drinks. When we ordered our food we sat and waited for 25 minutes when our waitress Maritsa came and told us they didnt have the fried chicken my son ordered so he ordered something else. Waited another 15 minutes for her to come to our table to tell me they didnt have the chicken strips I ordered. So after being there for 45 minutes we got up and left. I do not understand why they would wait 30 minutes to let us know they were out of what we ordered. Absolutely unacceptable!
Terrible service. I used to love coming to this location as a kid. They sat my children, my husband and I at a table for over 15 minutes and couldnt figure out who our server was. The manager wouldnt even acknowledge us. The server told us she wasnt taking us bc she already had too many tables in her section. We all left. If I could give yall 0 stars I would. Not my problem people dont want to work. If you cant give service than close down
The food was ok, but the service was great. We had our server calling my boyfriend ma,am which was rec cause he was post off at us but the corn and meatloaf was ok but the shrimp was excellent very good nice and hit and taste light and seasoned right and just the right crunch
We ordered breakfast through doordash today and when the system didnt let me change the side dish -as offered- I called the restaurant after I had placed the order. When I talked with the manager, she told me she would change the side dish per my request. Sunday breakfast, we were looking forward to it. Then the food arrived and our faces got longer and longer. Everything was cold (which is not Cracker Barrels fault) but the side dish hadnt been changed, instead now we had two wrong side dishes. 3 grits instead of gravy, the extras (jam and butter) were missing all together. Each and every item had been placed in an oversized container, which did not just look ridiculous, but also the two fried eggs had too much room to go all over the place and arrived like someone had hacked into them already. It was all over a bad experience. So I called again. The same lady answered the phone she told me to call doordash about a refund, when I said I didnt care so much about a refund, but wanted the restaurant to know how terrible their breakfast was, she didnt care. Bad, just bad.
Arrived after checking in online and had to wait for over an hour to be sat. Asked the person checking guests in we were on the waitlist about 4 times and were told every time that 5 people more in front of you. We saw about 25 parties sat before us before and even had walk ins sat before us. Really wanted to ask for a manager but I ain’t no Karen but I will definitely bring it to their attention I after I have paid and leaving out the door.
First time to this establishment and had the worst experience.Food was decent but ordered was incorrect also the steaks that were ordered one was supposed to be medium well which supposedly has little pink to no pink at all and it was still bleeding and I asked for my medium and it was medium rare. The server was really slow and rude took forever and then she didnt have a really nice attitude when she was explaining to her manager the situation and your manager was really rude too by asking if our food was good enough and I said yeah it was halfway good enough to pay half the price.. and then also then assumptionally insisted that we were probably cheap people and and sort of begged us to give a decent tip to one of their servers cuz he gave us a free meal.. And ask use to give money to who we thought deserve it.. We gave a decent tip to the guy that was cleaning tables but was not our server cuz he was more prompt on anything we asked then our own server.. But I have concluded that I will probably not be back to a cracker barrel because I believe all of them will be ran the same. Or hopefully its only this location in Hilliard. I know service industry is hard on some ppl or whats going on in their lives but they need to be more professional because you never know who will give you that big tip. Just for that one moment a server can make someones day.. and thats my tip to all the servers..
The wait to be seated was very long. Maybe next time we will come earlier. My glass wa not as clean as it could have been and the floor was also dirty. They struggled with the food this time which is not the norm for this location. For as long as we waited, the grits were cold, the hash browns casserole was also cold. My steak was not cooked to the correct temp which was disappointing. They did try to cook it properly, but, unfortunately, it was a complete fail. The manager, David, WONDERFUL ❤️ he is so sweet and kind. My server, Debe was also very sweet. They are the reason I gave three stars. Otherwise, it would have been 1.
The table was filthy and my husband sat in jam on his chair. The floor was even worse. Looked like hadnt been swept or mopped in days. My nieces shoe stuck to the floor and we had to take it to the bathroom to clean it so she could walk. Waited almost and hour for food then another ten minutes after food arrived for syrup for pancakes which had gotten cold. Never again!
This place carries candy bars and candies I havent seen since being a young girl. Including zagnut, circus peanuts, wax bottles with juice in them, and my husbands favorite, three color coconut bars.Although that is a good, it isnt a good enough excuse to travel an hour. The food is excellent, served in an atmosphere of old- time friendliness. No matter what you choose to eat, it tastes like it was made in your own kitchen. The biscuits and gravy takes me back to my grandmas kitchen. They have a country store that offers clothing, old time sweets, toys and collectibles.Definitely worth stopping in and checking out the friendliness of this restaurant/ store.
Mix up with our server started our meal with lots of confusion around drinks. One that was resolved, we ordered one it was ready the meals were delivered with a bunch of confusion. Then two of the meals were cooked well and biscuits seemed like they were days old.All of this adds up to a bad day for several areas, but the worst part of the experience was when we paid. The cashier, Kate, who appeared to be a manager asked if we had great service, I replied with honestly it was below average, bordering on mediocre . She then asked if it was the service or the food and I said, honestly, both. Her reply was sorry to hear that....then nothing else...no wanting to know more, want to do or listen to any details...nothing, not actually careing how our experience was....just some superficial lip service. What a failure of a dining experience!
Service was great, and the same could be said about the macaroni and cheese, biscuits and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately everything else was lackluster. The green beans didnt seem to be seasoned at all, the chicken was ok, though thicker than my liking for chicken fried chicken. It wasnt bad by any means, just not great. Not sure what I expected from a chain though.
Poor customer service! My party was not served immediately and the waitress never communicated about the status of our order. It took an hour to get our food and when we spoke with the manager, he was not very understanding and tried to justify our concerns with invalid responses. There were other parties who were seated 10-15 mins after us and received their food immediately after us. Highly disappointed!
I went to cracker barrel tonight and waited 40 minutes for a table when half the restaurant was empty, and as tables were seated right next to each other it wasnt due to covid restrictions. In total our visit took two hours, even though we ate our food when it came out and then left. The only positive part was our waitress Kelly, she was amazing and went above and beyond and was very helpful. Management didnt seem to be stepping up at all with issues and it didnt look like in store diners mattered at all in comparison to take out orders. They seemed to be rolling out just fine in comparison to everything in store. I dont plan on going back to this location after the poor management with getting people seated and with getting food prepared.
Typical visit to a typical Cracker Barrell, for the most part you know what to expect. My only complaint this visit was my steak. I ordered my sirloin medium and it came bloody raw, looked as of they had it on the grill just long enough to color the outside. 2nd try it came back medium rare but close enough.
Was traveling back from AZ and stopped for a rest and meal. Delicious as usual. They have about 7 pull through sites for RVs. We took a nap, ate then left. Leaving the restaurant there was a 5th wheeler parked in back right behind the RV sites blocking over 10 car spots? Full slides out (5) both sides! These are the people who will ruin RV spots being allowed around Walmart, Cracker Barrel etc.As you can see that I was pulling a car trailer behind my motorhome and I fit in the RV spots. No reason this person couldnt either!
Ive been eating at this cracker barrel for about 5 years, since they reopened after the covid outbreak the people they have running this restaurant dont care about the customer, the restaurant is not clean most of the time, and it is cold and they always have a excuse about the heat isnt working properly. I have ate hear 2 or 3 times a week, no more.
First.....the trial test of the creamers for coffee...bad idea....impossible to open...and using your teeth where other peoples hands have touched it..not good. Plus..the server and the check out girl should use a pay check to buy a personality.....never seen people who work at a CB act like they could care less....wont be back.
5/5 ⭐! Food is good, but what really sets them apart is the Cracker Barrel Experience. For example, during my last visit here, asked to trade out grits for food and was told it would cost an additional $1.29 to substitute. It actually makes perfect sense once you stop and consider exactly how much less youre getting for more money. I was actually in awe over the steal.Later, I asked for hot sauce, but I think I forgot to say real words because the waitress kept moving. Instead, I just got up and asked the table next to mine if I could borrow theirs. Now I know how to talk to strangers, Ive resolved my social anxiety, and I now have the confidence the 21st century requires. Thanks, Cracker Barrel! Now I see why they call it Cracker Barrel. I expect nothing less. Best experience ever.
Are food was good didnt like being put next to people who was rude. The other waitresses kept squeezing between are tables putting her butt on it witch isnt right in many of ways. Are waitress was nice but could have been paying more attention to us. So in what i see here it is a hit or miss to have good food and services here.
Even though I had to wait about an hour for my pickup order, Im giving 5 stars based on the customer service I received. They were really busy whenever I arrived, so I waited around for a little while. I asked about my order again, then had to wait for a while longer. The front desk woman was really nice and apologized for my long wait. They eventually said that my order had been snagged by a delivery driver, so they were remaking my order fresh. I got my food and they refunded my order because I was so patient with them. I really appreciated that gesture, as they didnt have to do that at all. I could tell they were swamped and understaffed, so it didnt bother me to wait all that time. This location is really friendly and will make sure youre taken care of, even if there is a mistake. Superb service!!
Ordered the broccoli chicken dinner and there was no chicken at all! Told the waitress and she brought me another one using chicken tenders instead of a chicken breast. I also ordered chocolate milk but they were out of it so they brought me white milk and Hershey syrup so I could make my own. I should of been told they were out of chocolate milk, who wants to make their own drink when you are paying to be waited on? This place is a big joke and it is on you!
Everytime I come here there are ridiculous issues. 1 time the GM said he was sending me a gift card and then barraded me in front of customers when it never came and I went in to ask for it. Today I tried to place an online, no touch pickup and the website would not process. I then tried to call the store 9 times. After all that they messed up my order and I have been sitting here for 20 minutes still waiting for 1 appetizer. Noone offered any help or compensation... still waiting...
I can only assume the ratings for this place are so high because management and their friends and family have bloated the ratings. The service is very slow and half the staff appear completely miserable. The other half rarely appear. The hostess just yelled across my table to one of the staff, which is exactly what I’d expect here. I have eaten here several times while traveling for business and staying in an adjacent hotel, but always the same. They treat me with a bit of indifference because I’m a single, but I have to eat and don’t bring family on business trips. By the way, before I lowas was theyespop inpop in pop in pop
Im not sure if its how I look or my name but whenever I order to go I get the worst service. Whenever I come inside its just as bad. Im done trying here. Ive got the same meal for years the grandma breakfast. The worst dinning experience ever. Megan and Jason the manager and regional lead me to believe I was incorrect with my order?? What happened to customer being right I guess if your name or if you look like me your wrong.
Service was good, food was ok, store was awesome. Lots of old fashioned candy and soda in the store part.Chicken and dumplings lack flavor, but their okra and meatloaf were ok. I got a sampler with ham, meatloaf and chicken and dumplings because I had no idea what to order. It also came with either 2 or 3 sides. I wanna say 3 but can only recall 2 of them. Not a place that I would eat at on a regular basis and we eat out a lot.
I was in this morning/afternoon with my littles and my waitress seemed a little flustered about it. She was really slow with getting our orders and then the check when we was done. My two year old accidentally knocked a plate on the floor and broke it and before I knew it a amazing young man was at my side to clean it and made me feel so much better about it. This gentleman I think maybe Chris even had them make my kid a new order for us to take since that happened. This gentleman really changed our experience and made it a 5 star one! If you see this, thank you so much for everything you did for my little one!
No matter what I get its always great. I go there when Im not feeling good and always leave in a better mood. One small thing is when the manager or assistant makes their rounds to check on the customers they should help clear tables to help clear the way for more customers. The host or hostess should do the same. It was a busy Saturday morning and quiet a few tables stayed untouched until the servers were free to get to their tables. I hosted several places that were very very busy and I always did my best to keep the tables clear, so the servers could more table at their station and make more money and satisfied customers.
Great place for families. We took my fiance out to dinner for Fathers Day and we had a great time our server Ellie was really polite and sweet and may our dinner a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the gift shop was full of family and kid friendly products the staff in the shop were also very friendly and helpful.
We ordered from this place on door dash. Big mistake, the country fried steak was burnt, no gravy on it or the mashed potatoes, and I didnt get my loaded sweet potato. My wife took it back to see if she could get it corrected but the not so nice manager said he cant help her . So neadless to say lost another coustemer
Food is really good I had their specialty hot drink of the month or whatever it was the toffee on the top was a good choice. I also ordered the Friday fish fry which was really good it was lightly battered crispy and piping hot. Food came at a good time we didnt have to wait too long for it. Afterwards we partook in some shopping in the gift shop and found a number of nice items. The server was nice as well as the cashier. They did take the little game off of the table but I understand because of coronavirus but I like playing the peg game.
Everyone i encountered was very personable and professional. I had a Togo order. It was done quickly and correctly. I walked around their gift shop while I waited on my food. The sales lady kept showing me different things for babys once I told her I was to have a new granddaughter come May. The whole place was a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Went for breakfast today. I understand restaurants are short staffed but this visit was horrible. We waited almost 25 minutes for our food. Eggs were undercooked. Fried apples were cold. Had to ask for jelly for the biscuits and several minutes later our server brought 1 pack of jelly for 4 biscuits. She said that is the standard procedure for Cracker Barrel. We have been to many Cracker Barrel’s and always received several packets of condiments. Asked to see a manager but another server said mgrs were busy. A different server came by and said she was told to give us our check. We still wanted to see a mgr, and finally one came out. Not very helpful, never apologized for the food. Said that Cracker Barrel only gives one packet of jelly per table. She did take care of the bill but she was very rude as was the server.
We live about an hour away from this restaurant and was so looking forward to a good experience. Well that didnt happen at all. When we received our food it was hard as a rock, had to ask multiple times for the rest of the food that went with our order, and drinks went empty several times. We would have asked for fresh orders but we were headed to a ballgame in Columbus. Needless to say we will NOT be back to this establishment anytime soon.
Ordered food online at 430, to be picked up at 6pm. Showed up at 6 and waited until 657, to be told that my order was messed up and had to show them the email so they could write down everything I ordered. They still got it wrong. Everyone ordering online waited minimum 45 minutes. They said sorry, we are understaffed numerous times, while people stood around doing nothing. Never again.
Tried really hard to not have a Michael Douglas moment in the movie Falling Down. Seated at 10:37am hoping to get something off lunch menu but was told that I couldn’t even though this Google site & menu says lunch starts at 10:30? I don’t like eggs but just about everything in breakfast menu is anchored by eggs. Asked to substitute for a couple slices of bacon - No Can Do! Ended up spending $18 for a burger patty (aka hamburger steak), a micro portion of hash browns biscuit & gravy with a side of bacon and a drink. Food was good & waitress was polite but could have been a much better experience. :-/
They have really good comfort food. The chicken and dumplings is what I get every time I come here. The fried apples are divine. They have a kale salad which reminded of broccoli salad which I love.We were concerned whether they would be able to accommodate a large mixed race group or not. There was a nice mix of various races of folks there (not just one or the other) and there were no problems as far as that was concerned.Coming in with a large party (10 or more), we had a bit of a wait, so we enjoyed ourselves by strolling through the store. They have some very cute stuff and Im in love with their candy section and rocking chairs outside. They were able to accommodate us after a short wait, which was great because they had a steady stream of customers all afternoon. They were also very nice to keep us informed on how much longer our wait would be without having to ask.The waitresses were really nice. The restaurant was clean as well. The atmosphere was cool. The food was great. We would definitely come back again.
I have been to over 200 Cracker Barrels to eat. Why? Because I travel and want consistently. Cracker Barrel always offers great food and great service at a reasonable price. Out of those 200 visits I have had bad service only twice. (And this Hilliard location was not one of them. Always offers a fantastic experience.) I think that batting average is outstanding!
I dont know what I like more; the food, or the gift shop? The food is consistently good, and the staff are always friendly. Its fun looking at the eclectic mix of things on the walls and ceiling, almost like a game of spot the thingThe gift shop gets me every time. They have the old standbys like the hard candy sticks in every flavor, but they also have oddball stuff that makes a fun nick-knack or a good gift for someone else.
We love going to cracker barrel and my grandkids call it the restaurant with the store. We usually go on Wednesdays for their broccoli chicken and Fridays for their fish . Both of those specials are fabulous. The servers were very good too and made sure we always had our drink glasses full, our waitress even took ours and made it a to-go cup so we could take it with us
Everything was delicious and our server Tamara was amazing. She quickly accommodated all of our requests as well as expertly handled a trouble table behind us. We were seated within the timeframe for the wait that they told us about when we registered on our way in to the store.
I have been craving Cracker Barrel and it was honestly the best meal Ive had in a while and the best I ever had there. I had the turkey and dressing mmm...The server was fabulous. She was very friendly, taller with glasses and short hair. Wish I could remember her name. By far the best service we have ever got there or anywhere in a while. Cooks and service was on point what a pleasurable dining experience.
Food was awesome. Huge con for me and my family is most definitely the seating. They sat us in the very first table right there in the walk way 5 or less feet from the podium. Now, I understand social distancing but health wise the seating someone in the busiest aisle/walkway should be completely out of the question, I even asked the young Male that sat us to please seat us somewhere else (every two tables in between one table was clear) so what.. you got 7 tables occupied and 15 that arent. Weird distancing amd awful choice of a good distancing table. No one wants to sit at a table and eat while everyone comes and goes, busses clean, waiters are coming and going amd the hostess is nonstop surveying the dining room
I stopped in to get a to go order today. The girl who took my order was friendly and energetic. The food was packaged and prepared perfectly! I ordered a cat fish dinner with biscuits. I got home and was pleasantly surprised it was still hot and also very delicious! Thank you!
Not good ! No plans on going back to this location. 4 in our party, 1 got special awful they took it off the bill. 1 ordered mashed potatoes and gravy no gravy, no refill on any drinks until I asked a manager, waitress says he will bring them. Then brought us wrong check, as soon as she put food in table. She slammed our plates down in front of us and was just plain rude!! As I said will not bless her with our business again.
I just left this place trying to return an item and not only are they racist but they cant read or comprehend a receipt. The guy; who by the way followed me around the gift shop one Sunday morning but didnt see him following one white person 😏, took 30 mins and tried to give me 6.00 back for a 23.00 order: ( I returned 5 other ones). He said the items were only ringing up as 1.00; well ummmm thats because they are 1.00 each rung up 5 times as the receipt says...So the manager then comes over and 1st tells me the packages has only one barcode....ummm 👍 your right sir because its a package and all 6 items inside has the same upc number that cant show at the same time so you ring that 1 up 6 times as the receipt shown says...sigh... He then; the manager, says the item went on sale since last time and he cant give me it back at 6.00 only the sale price.....hummm so I spent 18.00 and your trying to give me back only 3.00 so can you explain that sale price please....Ill wait. He then said I was rude and he would throw me out because I said they couldnt read a receipt....well this is evidence sir that you cant.
This is an excellent restaurant to get a lot of great tasting food for a small cost. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly, and there is always the gift shop to stroll either before or after you eat. I would have given five stars but it was so cold in there that I was focused more on that than almost anything else. If you are going in the winter, wear an extra sweater.
Stopped for Thanksgiving dinner, I appreciated that it was open today for those of us not able to be with familyI was disappointed that it’s a Select MenuI was trying to eat a little healthier and my spouse was fine with the thanksgiving dinnerUnfortunately due to the select menu my choices were zeroEverything is fried, no salad choices, not even a grilled optionSuggestion: to at least offer something for others
This place is very fun! The decoration and atmosphere is unique and enjoyable. The most favorable parts of the atmosphere were the fire theyd lit, the vintage wall art, and the little brain games included at the tables! The waitress was very kind to all of her customers, she explained the menu to my guest and myself relatively well, and she made sure we had everything we needed. The music that was being played was very enjoyable. The food was delicious and the wait time wasnt excessive. Theyd forgotten bacon on my burger but that was quickly rectified. When we stopped at the store for some goodies on the way out, we were greeted with nothing but kindness and good customer service.Ill be returning to this Cracker Barrel!
Ahh Cracker Barrel, how shall I define you? Are you an upscale truck stop? Overpriced Southern diner? Or a Grandparent trap with nostalgia kitsch? Joking aside, Cracker Barrel is a solid dining experience. You know what you are going to get consistently and thats fine. This location impressed me with there service on a busy Sunday morning, we were seated almost immediately..our servers were attentive and our food came quickly. My biggest gripes with the barrel are price - the food quality is fine, but its not worth what they charge, especially for kids meals, which dont even include a beverage (compare that to Bob Evans). The menu is pretty limited without a ton of options. And why are they so stingy on the sides portions???
This was my first Cracker Barrel experience and the food was 32.7% better than expectedThe only reason this is 4 stars is the servers were a hot mess. They were snippy with our table (after asking for items they forgot to bring out) and with each other in front of guests.I had the holiday special country-fried turkey with green bean casserole, sweet potato, and cranberry relish. These and the biscuits were amazing. The corn muffins were blah.My wife had French toast and it was good but not great. Her hash brown casserole was amazing. The pecan pie was good.
Cracker Barrels are always my go to when Im on the road and this one did not disappoint. Our waitress was nice and attentive, she answered questions that the group had and was prompt in bringing drinks and the food. The quality of the food was great. I always order breakfast items and the pancake was nice and crispy and the eggs were cooked well. Clean restaurant as well. Definitely will go back when in the area.
Each Cracker barrel I have been to tastes amazing. Including this one! The service was great and I did not have to awkwardly wait on the check. Our waiter stayed consistent with his service. Had to get some more syrup and the waiter looked happy to go get some. Just needed a few more napkins 😄 Overall amazing place
Usually have a good experience with cracker barrel, however this visit in Hilliard Ohio was less than stellar. We were seated at a long table with just 3 of us, which was great, extra elbow room. Then comes the Karen male manager and says my grandsons cant sit in the middle table. Why? Cant seat someone else at the table,. Wait what? Not supposed to seat anyone else at the table with us anyway. He makes him move takes the chair and puts it in front of a fire extinguisher. Umm...no, sorry Karen, fire code violation. If we werent so hungry, we would have gotten up and left. Then they seat people in the tables on either side of us? Within 3 feet? Not happy at all.
Easy to find on Rome - Hilliard Rd. Easy to get into and out of IF youre northbound. A little more interesting if youre headed south. As always, lots of parking.Seated promptly. Cody, our waiter, was fantastic. Food was out quickly, and all of us enjoyed it. I had the Friday Fish Fry. Portions were very generous!Had to use the bathroom. All was clean and kept-up.Checkout was with the store manager herself. Easy to see why we had a great experience. Its a reflection of great management!Got some candy in the store section. Among other things, Cracker Barrel stores are a great place for old style and hard to find candy.Gladly recommended!
The cashier and the food were great, as expected at a Cracker Barrel. Our food took quite some time to artive, then within 5 to 10 minutes of finally receiving it, our server came by with our check, saying not rushing you or anything... Well, we JUST got our food, how were we supposed to feel but as if we were being rushed. Just not up to the standard of service that I expect from Cracker Barrel.
Came to eat after a hockey game, my son asked for CB after his win. Once in, stood at the hostess stand for nearly 5 min without anyone attempting to help. There was a hostess, waitress, and what appeared to be manager cleaning up three tables. Maybe they were short handed but a little more courtesy would have gone a long way. Especially since there were other servers and clerks from the storefront just standing around. Likely wont return to this store.
Fairly easy to get to from I-70. Plenty of parking. Pretty easy disability access. Most people reading this know what a Cracker Barrel is like, so Ill skip the description. We were seated promptly. The waiter was right on top of things, without being intrusive, from the very start and continuing through our time.Food came out for our party of four in good time. All was as ordered. Hot stuff was hot and cold stuff, like cole slaw, was cold.Mens room, anyway, was quite clean and well-maintained.Checkout was prompt and courteous, done by the stores very friendly and cheerful General Manager. In all, great visit. Recommended.
We moved to Ohio and arent as close to a Cracker Barrel as we used to be, so it has been over a year since eating here. I wasnt disappointed. The food is standard fare, but with a Cracker Barrel flare and the staff was pleasant and professional. They were attentive and not over whelming. Enjoy some southern style food.
How do you rate a restaurant that said clearly that there would be utensils, butter, tartar sauce in the take out pack only to get home and find none? Their order list in the pack also clearly checked those item as part of the order.. The famous fried apples side dish was poorly prepared, they left the skin and or seed pith in it. Id rate it a 2 normally but the catfish was ok. SMH!
Had two waitresses taking orders at the same time... Different lady brought the food out... Orders were wrong.... Food presentation was disturbing.... Looked like it was slapped on the plates.... Kid sized portions for all adult orders.... Didnt have items yet didnt inform you they were out until asked.... Very disappointed in the evening.... Hopefully it will be different next time🙁😐😐😐😐😬 pecan pie had the filling slapped on the plate beside the pie? How did that even happen?
The wait staff were friendly as usual, no complains there. We were seated and were attended to immediately. Now everything Ive ever had at a Cracker Barrel has been delicious. My wife and I wanted to try their campfire bundles (I got it last year and it was simply amazing!). We asked for the beef one but all they had was chicken. So ok, wed try it. Both my wifes and mine were pretty bland. They tasted like they had been cooking for days and were the very last meals. We both left disappointed. 2022-01-30Visited last Thursday morning. Our waiter Hunter was super sweet and on point. Our food is what you would expect for comfort grandmas breakfast.

2021-12-12Completely different experience when you order to go vs. in-house. I asked, repeatedly, for brown gravy and no country gravy because I dont eat pork. What comes slathered on my chicken? Country gravy. I scraped the gravy off because Im so hungry. All the sides were so small, like 1/4 filled in their cups. Very cheap. And no biscuits or corn muffins provided in the bag.

2022-04-25The food was excellent and our server was awesome. She said her name was Ty, (Tysha) She picked up every plate as soon as it was empty, kept our coffee cups full and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was so pleasant. I could have hung out with her all day. My husband and I hope to come back again, just so we can eat the great food and see her.

2022-06-13Food was great! People in gift shop were super helpful finding a shirt in the back we saw on the mannequin. Only slight disappointment was after asking the waitress if grits could be substituted she said yes for an upcharge, but then when I ordered she didnt even mention it and gave me grits which I previously said I didnt like. I know that seems stupid, but it was a bit lacking professionalism she didnt remember the comment I made less than 2 minutes earlier, and didnt make any effort to offer me something else. I was a server for 13 years and I always made sure my customers were happy and knew all their options.

2022-06-23Had a delightful dinner there tonight. My server, Cody, is one of the best servers Ive had in years. Friendly, attentive, and professional. Never had to wait for drink refills or for anything to be cleared. He even brought a double helping when my friend requested some extra gravy. Ill definitely be back soon.

2022-05-01This is the third time I have ordered from cracker barrel and Ive gotten the same thing each time. I got the meatloaf. This time I got the combo which includes the chicken & dumplings and the sugar glazed ham (which I shared with my dog only because I do not like ham and he eats with me). But the meatloaf is out of this world and I cant get enough! Its baked with the ketchup instead of brown gravy which is how I prefer. The mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy (or white flour gravy) which is also what I prefer and a veggie, is what hits the spot. So, cracker barrel, do not change anything about your recipes, because I would like to stay a satisfied customer! One thing, it would be nice to try some cabbage rolls..... Just sayin!

2022-04-23Went here with my girlfriend and we both ordered a sirloin steak meal, medium rare. Both steaks came out bloodier than when they were still on the cow and were flavorless. Never got a refill on drinks. Felt ushered out of the restaurant. The restaurant was at most a quarter full so not very busy. Tried to make a complaint about our less than satisfactory meal at the front counter and instead of even offering a simple apology we were asked oh. How about M&Ms. 3 for $4. I dont think trying to sell us candy was a good consolation for feeling like we wasted $40. Our server was nice however.

2022-07-04At the end of a long fourth weekend on their part, still great service all around. I love that I can just look for the carrots in the menu for a meal with grilled chicken, carrots and broccoli, or other simpler friendly to my diet options. Some nice finds in the shop, too.

2022-05-16Our server was friendly, which was the ONLY good thing about this visit. The hostess acted like she didnt want to be there. The cashier was do busy with someone on her headset talking about putting back a store item for her personal purchase that she did not even speak to me other than to say the amount due. But the absolute worst part was, the cleanliness, or lack there of. I have not only managed restaurants before but worked in a hospitality training center and would like to share a little secret. Look at the bathroom. Is it clean? The bathroom is a good peak into the kitchen, if one is dirty the other is probably the same way. Im not talking about the dirt of a single shift, rather if it looks like it needs a deep cleaning, you can bet the kitchen is the same way. Their mens room looked worse then a stereotypical old gas station bathroom. Had the rest of my party not ordered when I return to the table I would never or have eaten there.

2022-02-14Went here with a friend for lunch. Got the vegetable plate. Ive had this at many different locations but 2 of the items looked different and did not taste good. My friend found a large corner of a plastic bag in the bottom of her salad. Never coming here again!
