Cozumel Mexican Restaurant in other cities:
Mann what can I say this place is great . I ordered the Burrito Diabla off the hook good . So much flavor light fluffy rice . Beans was great too . One of my guests ordered the seafood Chimichanga, I tried it it was excellent tasting!!! The atmosphere is great . The server wasn’t as attentive as I like but it’s fine as we sucked down two pitchers of that wonderful house Margarita. It had some liquor in it , finally a place that gives you Margarita with some grip !!! Very fast service we didn’t wait long to place that order , and food arrived about 15 minutes.
Food is always hot and fresh. Great service, friendly waitstaff ! The complimentary tortilla chips served hot with delicious salsa, and definitely try their special chipotle pork tacos !! Beautifully decorated interior. This is my weekend go-to for delicious Mexican food and welcoming , fast service!
I have been here 4 times so far and it is really enjoyable. The staff can be hit and miss but all of the food is great. The drinks are tall and cheap. And you really cant go wrong on any of the dishes. They have a camarones a la diabla which are shrimp tacos and I loved them. The camarones el chipotle was pretty great too. I think my favorite so far was the steak taco bowl.
I always go to this restaurant at the Lakewood location. Anyways this was my first experience at this location and it was horrible. We walked in asked to be seated and have a booster seat for my child. The booster seat never came. No one ever came to ask us what we needed. Just a bunch of servers walking around to other tables but the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Anyways we asked for drinks and water. The server brings us styrofoam cups with water in it. We look around the other four tables that was occupied all had plastic cups with straws it just was a awkward experience where pretty much we was ignored and when someone did come to us they gave us that. Anyways we went to !Hacienda Tapatia !!further down the street. The server was attentive. The atmosphere was good and the food was inexpensive and goodt.
Located at the I-71 exit. So be aware of the highway robbery prices.New local, very clean, modern style.Large parking.Crowded boot and a few large groups tables.Bar is well equipped and spacious, no try anything from it but not see a dedicated bartender either.Cozumel is not new to restaurant business.Decide to stop by with the intention of write a 5 star review but,1- they have a crew working around the customers actively dining not observing any social distancing rules and moving parts around.2- Typical food, chain restaurant style w limited lunch menu, at least they have Speedy Gonzales. Tortillas are sweet, supermarket style.3- too expensive for what we get served.4- The food took too long to be served and ours was served almost cold.5- The crew make the fatal restaurant mistake of serve food to other table that order after us.The two stars are due the the fried ice cream was very good.
We ordered the enchilada Ranchero to share. As we separated the food we noticed the food was cold. We asked the server to please warm it for us. We waited 5 to 8 minutes and our plates were returned. My husband cut into his food and it was fine. Mine was still cold and I had to wait for someone to pass by, so that I could get mine warmed and again another wait. This was our anniversary meal and we had to eat separately. Oh, but they said sorry.
Love! Love! Love!!!! We love Cozumels! Chicken street tacos are amazing. They quesadillas are so good! Cant go wrong with the chips, salsa and guac! We are fans of their diablo nachos! & A pitcher of the classic margaritas be having me on my butt! Their strawberry mango is good too! Lol My 2 favorite locations is the Broadview heights! & Now the west 150th location!
This was an awesome little Mexican restaurant. Coming from South Florida they are a dime a dozen, but this place was really awesome. Food was amazing, could only finish half. Came with chips and salsa and we had this special Carne Asada fries appetizer that was so good I dont know why its not on the menu. They sell margaritas by the pitcher. Everything was amazing and delicious. Would highly recommend. I would think with out drinks maybe $12 per person. With drinks $15 to$20. Well worth it. Truely a 5-star experience- food, service, everything.
We LOVE this place. We travel at least once a week from the Stearns rd area of north olmsted. We used to frequent fiesta jalapeño in north ridgeville. After they went downhill we tried Nuevo Acapulco and that was an once and done. Then we tried here. Try it. You will love it too. Three taquitos and the carnitas are fan favorites in our group. Their soup with chicken also amazing. We have never had a dish that wasn’t good there. Athe staff is great too. So happy we found this place!!
Was at this location for the 1st time today. Must say I was extremely disappointed. I love Cozumel, normally go to the Lakewood one. But figured we would try this one out. They werent busy at all which we thought would be a good thing. (There were 2 other tables thats it) WRONG. We got sat, it took forever for our server to come to the table. When he did, we gave our drink order and appetizer. He never came back till he brought the app. So we put in our food order, never seen him till the food was brought out. We needed refills and napkins, and again no where to be found. The female waitress was spilling food on the ground and left it. A table left and there was food and junk on the floor, they never bothered to clean it up. FINALLY after we went and looked for our server, we got napkins and refills. When we were done eating, yet again couldnt find our server to get a box and check so we asked the female server. Another 10 minutes went by before anyone brought them to us. Never checked on us or anything while we were there. The food was ok. I was completely disappointed being as it was Cozumel. This is our absolute favorite place to eat. Guess we will be sticking to the Lakewood location because this one definitely wasnt worth our time. Also when we got there, the female server was on the phone with a customer being extremely rude to her about deliveries. For being new, they really need to buckle down on their help. I could see if they were busy, but 2 or 3 tables in the whole restaurant is far from busy.
First time visiting this location. I was headed to a different Mexican restaurant when I saw Cozumel at the exit of the highway. Decide to try it out, it was The BEST Decision! Nice modern vibe with a little traditional. We where seated right away, before our buttoms hit the chair we had chip and salsa on our table, it was really good. Service was amazingly fast and the food was hot and delicious! My husband had the carnitas dinner, it was so delicious and full of flavor. I had the taquitos, delicious cheese sauce and they where full of meat from end to end. The drinks where also Great! The server was excellent and very attentive. Definitely will go back and recommend it to family and friends. My new favorite!
I have visited several of the local Cozumel restaurants and have always been pleased with food, service, and price. Recently I visited this location and ordered a regular margarita with my meal which was listed on the menu at $8.75. When I got the bill it showed a Jumbo margarita at $10.75. I paid the bill assuming perhaps I ordered wrong. A week or so later I again ordered a regular margarita which was $8.75 on the menu. I was more careful about what I ordered. When the waiter brought the drink I noticed it was larger than expected. I said to him Whoa..is that a regular? to which I got no reply and he quickly walked away. Again, when I got the check I was charged $10.75. I questioned the bartender and he stuttered and was unable to give me an explanation. I paid the bill and left. I will not visit this Cozumel again and will tell everyone I know about their trickery. Buyer Beware!
They took a la cart off the online menu. I just want to order a grilled chicken quesadilla and beans 🤷♀️Like, the food is perfect and everything. But if I cant get what I want... :/ I promise you, I was swearing off Taco Bell permanently, but now, like. No?Edit: Changing to 3 star. No idea why, but the a la cart menu is back to ordering. Is it only available during certain hours? That would be weird and unfortunate if so...
We ate here for the first time tonight and it is unquestionably the best Mexican food I’ve had in the 13 years I’ve lived in NE Ohio! The salsa was delicious, clearly homemade. Not too spicy for my wife but with enough kick to satisfy me. We also got the house made chunky guacamole with roasted corn and jalapeños. The jalapeños were pretty mild but still flavorful and the portion was enough for four people!I had a seafood chimichanga that blew me away! Loaded with white fish, crab, and grilled shrimp and topped with cheese, it was all delicious. I slathered some of the salsa on top too.The best part was the tortilla it was wrapped in. It was light and flaky- not at all like most that are dense and soak up the oil they were fried in. This was simply delicious.I will absolutely eat here again. I only regret they don’t have a location in Canton where I live!
Went for the first time for an early Friday night dinner. We were promptly greeted and seated. A large basket of light crispy chips and individual servings of perfectly spiced salsa were immediately brought to the table. We ordered a burrito supreme and quesadilla supreme. Both were a large portion and delicious. We will be back.
The drinks need improvement!!! Pour a real drink. Please!!! I feel like we paid for a sip! The food was really good but you should be able to make your order how you want it. We said we wish we had a Mexican restaurant closer. We will give them another shot only because they are closer than Compadres. Lets see how it goes the next time. The service really does make your tip!
Best Mexican food in Cleveland! BUT the general manager was a bit rude. I called ahead of time, letting them know a party of 15-20 (wedding party) possibly more than 20 will be arriving at the restaurant and they said they don’t do reservations. Long story short my fiancé and the GM had a disagreement,he was not willing to seat others from our party near us so instead he seated other guests. Being petty. Our server was amazing and I think he was a supervisor.
The food and prices were exceptional, taco Tuesday is live and well! The queso dip is huge and delicious, everything we ordered was amazing! The hardshell tacos and street tacos were both incredible, and I was happy to see lengua on the taco menu! The Margaritas were delicious, and the bartender server was professional and courteous, and had a very deep voice that most sports casters would kill for, nlol. Staff was attentive the entire time, even while slammed during the dinner rush with great specials going on. I stop here every time Im in Cleveland, nearly 2 weeks every month and always get dinner here on my first and last night in town. Parking is a bit of a headache though during peak hours, luckily I was staying at the hotel next door so just walked over.
Im glad this location is back up and running! Kid-friendly, service was great, and the carnitas street tacos were delicious. Kids menu with crayons. The server asked how many carnitas street tacos I would like. I ordered three and that was perfect. They are small but wonderful. Came with carnitas, gaucamole, diced white onion, and cilantro on two corn tortillas for each taco to prevent breakage. They can also seat large groups
The food is great i love it , Never ate inside always order take out with that being said my order since Ive been ordering from them has never been complete its always missing an item so disappointing when you get home and ready to smash but youre missing your tortilla or shrimp something just missing grrr food is awesome though i still recommend but they need to get the orders right
DISGUSTING! i ordered a spinach quesadilla and it just was not good at all .. my friend ordered a chicken fajita and said the same thing ... basically waisted my money !! The only thing that was DECENT was the rice and thats honestly it ! I will never in my life eat here again ... if I can give less than one star I wouldve trust me
This new location is WAY NICER than my date and I thought it was going to be. Very clean, updated and modern. The food was just as good as the Lakewood location and their sister location Maya. My date and I were very happy with our meal and service. Will be back! Mucha gracias!
Omg the margaritas here are delicious and have great alcohol content! The salsa and chips are made fresh, in-house, and are so good! The diablo shrimp street tacos and chimichangas are my favorites. Plus you can catch a game or two on any one of the 3 large screen tvs hanging over the bar. I pretty much have become a regular lol.

2022-07-28The Four Points Sheraton Cleveland Airport had no food service by the time I checked in. They recommended this restaurant, it was the only one in walking distance so I went. The hostess got me seated right away, the salsa arrived quickly and, omgoodness, it was tasty! Just enough heat to keep you dipping in with another chip. I ordered the Burrito Ala Diablo. This was also spicy, but very well cooked. The chicken was still moist and the chorizo was tasty. My only disappointment was in the refried beans. When I saw my plate arrive, the beans were orange. Every time I see orange refried beans, they dont taste good. Im not sure what spice does this, if its even a spice. The beans were bland. My server, Eduardo, was attentive and friendly. Overall, Id eat there again. Maybe next time, Id try the charro beans!

2022-05-17Stopped off, after spending the day roaming around Cleveland, before heading back to our hotel. I opted for the seafood chimichanga. Made with lump crab meat, grilled shrimp and white fish; covered with melted cheese. I managed to finish the chimi. It was soo good. I was too full to eat much of anything else. Its a good thing. Great service. Nice spot that many locals seem to frequent. 👍

2021-08-07Service was great! The flautas were amazing along with the frozen strawberry margarita. Our server was a skinny, young woman with long brown hair. She was very attentive, sweet, and excellent. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Cleveland.

2022-08-03Man, one of the best meals I had all summer vacation! I went last night for some dinner after a long day on the road. And let me tell you the food was amazing! I had the burrito supreme and it was sooo good. The workers there were so nice. I would come back if I’m ever in town. Overall a 10/10 meal and customer service.
