We were racially profiled and asked to leave during a girls night with 5 women. Apparently all 5 adult women had to go to sleep at 10p like children. WE WERE TOLD WE had to go because we were talking and laughing too loud AND were not given a refund. We were kicked out at 1am. Five females kicked out in the middle of the night for enjoyment and empowerment. I am so glad that everyone got home safely after being embarrassed and demanded to leave by the front desk girl. The way she told us that we were too loud for that hotel in front of white onlookers was embarrassing and humiliating. If you are of color dont ever stay at any of these hotels because they see all of US as ghetto 😒
We used Courtyard Marriott as our accommodation for out of town guests for our wedding. They were recommended by our venue so thats who we chose. Well from start to finish the experience was awful. None of my guests were able to book online and when they called they were on hold for 15 minutes at a time. No one seemed to know what was going on when we would call. Someone kept telling our guests our room block was full when it never was. So in turn we didnt qualify for the shuttle at all, couldnt even pay for one. My new husband and I spent our wedding night there and there were no special arrangements made for us which is fine but our room was terrible! Its was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting, the walls were gross and even the carpet had numerous stains. Needless to say if you are planning your wedding do not book here. It was more of a headache then anything and not even worth the money we spent to stay there.
We had a great time. Enjoyed the courtyard and friends while the kids played in a safe environment. We didnt have to worry about them roaming the parking lot or streets with the green space of the courtyard. All positive reviews here. The only suggestion would be for the hotel to offer food. That being said there are a lot of restaurants with in walking distance and if you want to drive hundreds of places to eat.Great place to stay.
Its all about the people. While this was a very nice property in a nice location, the people were absolutely wonderful. I booked a total of 4 rooms for friends and family and we were all treated wonderfully.I give credit to the employee who usually works the Bistro (which was sadly closed during our stay) as the staffing shortage had her cleaning rooms all night. Despite this, the staff was wonderful and friendly. The hotel was sold out and the rooms were being turned as best as possible.I also saw some very rude guests taking out frustrations on the front desk staff, as well as next store at the Bob Evans. No one deserves this type of treatment and the staff was doing an amazing job considering every place in town had a Help Wanted sign out front and staffing was short. I give credit to the incredible and polite staff at this property for making the stay great.

We he a large group staying for a softball tournament. Check in was not smooth at all. Check in time was 3:00. One family waited over an hour after the check in time to get their room and they had small children. My family reserved 2 rooms for 2 days. The rooms were clean but no one ever cleaned either of the 2 rooms we reserved on day 2. We even left the room for several hours waiting for them to clean it but they never did. They were obviously understaffed like most places right now. The staff was very friendly and the lobby area was nice. It wasn’t made clear to us if breakfast was included or not and when I asked the front desk they said breakfast closes at 9:00AM. It was already 9:20 at that point but they were nice enough to open the kitchen area back up for us and several other people not with our group came in for breakfast as well so obviously closing it at 9:00 is too early. I also had to go to the front desk to get more towels, wash cloths, tissues, and toilet paper. They should have offered to bring them to our room but didn’t. I will not be staying here in the future.
It began great we didn’t realize check in was at 3 so we called and they allowed us to check in early, we got our cards and 1 did not work, we got into the room it was clean and nice. We checked out the pool area and the 3 times we visited the pool there were never any towels, we got a room that I was told included breakfast but when my wife took the kids down to eat she was told breakfast is not included, we then came back from the zoo later that night and none of our cards worked, normally would not be a big deal but with exhausted kids that was a very frustrating moment. Overall experience was satisfactory but probably made it to where courtyard would not be in my top options when traveling to stay.
Positive: Staff was friendly, and made sure I had all that I needed as a guest for a wedding. Room was clean, and even though I didn¿t book as a wedding guest initially, they made sure I was on the same floor and side of hotel as the other guests Negative: Too late of check in time
My family stayed at this location after a family members wedding, and I would not recommend...Reservations and promises not kept...The BonVoy App and Marriott website did not work when signing up for the wedding block of rooms. Multiple family members had issues when trying to call. Some local family members had to travel to hotel to get a reservation. The hotel said we would get a shuttle to and from the wedding location. This was not honored even with over 20 rooms booked. Check-in AnxietyI checked in early on the app and stated that I would be there at 2:30pm. I showed up at 2:35pm as was told my room was not ready. I stated I needed the room to change into dress clothes. Only after this statement did the front desk associate look for a different room. Privacy ConcernsUnfortunately an altercation occurred with a family member and another party at the hotel. Police were called. Police were then able to pin point exactly which other rooms our family was staying in and then woke up each room at 2:30am looking for someone.ConclusionI will not stay at this location again and will not recommend. From reservation, check, to the stay there were issues. Please make sure if you do stay you get things in writing and address any concerns directly with hotel management. While also ensure all management is on the same page.
This was our first stay at this hotel but I have stayed in many other courtyards before. The room was a great size but upon getting our stuff into the room, we let the kids run around in the room after a long day in the car. After only a few mins, the bottom or thier feet were turning black from all the dirt in the carpet.
I booked in a 3 star hotel and it has great reviews. But I have a few complaints. I was disappointed when I seen the hot tub was filled in and tiled over, the toilet paper is far from 3 stars. Id say its similar to prison tp sandpaper. Other than that it was clean and tidy. Thats why I gave em 2 stars!
Bathroom wasnt as clean as it should have been. Tub didnt drain properly so had a tub full of water up to my ankles after a 15 min shower. Bed was hard as a rock so I barely slept all night because I kept having to roll over due to the pain in my hips from pressing into the hard mattress. Way, WAY too expensive for the quality of the room
I was appalled at the service we received for two days. The key did not work at the onset and we had to go down stairs 2 x for assistance. The manager did not do anything for our inconvenience. The second it happened again. The manager came to the room 3 xs to work on the issue. Nothing was done to compensate us for being late to our brothers burial. I am infuriated by this location.
Sheets were stained, headboard was broken, mini fridge didnt cool anything, and there were water spots in the bathroom on both the ceiling and walls as well as very noticeable patches that were not complete throughout the bathroom. Generally just in very dingy and worn down. Walls were super thin and you could hear EVERYTHING going on outside the door.
Check-in was extremely smooth, the room was clean and ready for us when we arrived, and the property was relatively quiet. The next AM when we wanted to switch from points amenity back to the food-and-bev credit to get coffee from the built-in starbucks, there was no trouble and one of the staffers went over to the starbucks area to make our coffee. Check-out was a breeze (I just called downstairs from the room, but I think I couldve just walked away without that even).Prices were a little high but we were booking last-minute (2 hours out from arrival). This hotel is located in the middle of a large shopping strip, so theres plenty of fast and fast-casual food options in trivial driving distance. I would NOT suggest walking: the area is not pedestrian-friendly.
The hotel was very safe and secure. The staff was very helpful and kind and made you feel at home. I loved the snack shop and the lobby also included a bar area. My room was very clean and included a king bed, sofa bed and a sliding door with patio. Definitely would stay there again.
Hard to find staff. We walked in and NO ONE there to welcome or greet us. We had to wait and look for staff. When we were at hotel bar, we also couldnt find staff, had to wait for someone to come out, then after they got our drinks, they disappeared again and we had to go call for and look for to get drinks refilled. Not enough seating outside. Just one small group took up all the chairs outside, so we stayed inside. Room was ok. They do have shuttle to airport though.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a Marriott Hotel. The key did not work when it was assigned. It took 3 tries on the first night. The second night it took the manager to come up to the room to let us back into the room. There was no compensation or discount for the inconvenience. Very disgruntled by the service at this location.
We stayed here for a baseball tournament with 16 year old boys and their families. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the large common areas were great for team gatherings. The hotel was conveniently located close to the freeway and many stores and restaurants.
Positive: Staff was friendly Negative: There was blood stain on sheet that I didn¿t notice until I went to bed. They offered to come and make bed but I had to get to sleep and just tore sheets off bed Also mattress was horrible my back hurt. I could hear and feel the springs
Clean room, fresh newish towels. Your asked to reserve your time at the pool to limit crowd sizes for Covid. System seemed like it was working well. Most people adhering to mask requirements while in the lobby and hallways elevators etc. Easy access to hotel from the highway. Kinda in a mall area, basic chain restaurants and stores close by. Some rooms have a balcony.
Very old. Carpet in the elevator was gross. Needed to be replaced years ago. One of the bedside lamps didnt work nor did the outlet. There was a pair of mens underwear sitting by the elevator for an entire day. A plus is the hotel is located walking distance to target, best buy and other stores and restaurants.
Two words. Bed Bugs.Woke up in the middle of the night to 20 of them crawling around my bed. I called the front desk and nobody answered. I ended up sleeping on a plastic chair in the room since o knew there wasn’t fabric.I spoke with the front desk in the morning and was met with complete apathy. The maintenance guy came to my room, saw the bed bugs and said we must have brought them with us.I’m a Marriott Titanium member and spend about a 100 nights a year in Marriott hotels and this was unequivocally the worst experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stay Away! The room was disgusting - my feet stuck to the carpeting. There was not any soap at the sink or in the shower. Besides check-in, I didnt see anyone who worked there the entire stay. This is by far one of the worst hotels Ive been in for a while. That is saying a lot since I travel a significant amount.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated, old, compared to other hotels and even other Marriotts I’ve stayed at. It’s is clean and the beds are ok if you like a very firm mattress. It would be nice to have breakfast offered instead of the evening snacks in my opinion. I didn’t experience any problems or have any true complaints. I travel a few times a year for business and have experienced other Marriotts that are more modern. That being said, I would stay here again knowing it is a place to sleep that is clean with a Great Staff.
The hotel is older and has the old style courtyard layout. It is fairly well maintained and has received the upgrade to a Market instead of the old-style buffet (too bad, I preferred the daily free breakfast with the buffet). The cleanliness of the room could be improved on as the desk and refrigerator had a good layer of dust on it.The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make this a pleasant stay.Overall, this hotel provides great value for the price.
I was in town for a wedding anniversary and the hotel was very close to my relatives home. I liked the attractive lobby with the water available. The check-in process was simple and finding the room not too difficult. Space was larger than most rooms I have stayed and I would say it was nice to have a shower/tub set up in the bathroom. I used the gym both mornings and it was odd that the television was mounted on the wall near the free weights and not in front of the cardio machines. The fitness center could be a little bigger as the weights area is a little too close for comfort to the end of the cardio machine area. I did not get an opportunity to dip in the pool. The outdoor space off the pool area was good to use for stretching and some calisthenics, although the other guests having their morning coffee on their room patios may have minded, I am not sure. If I need to stay in Toledo again I would definitely select this hotel.
This hotel is clean, but maybe a little worn. The bed is too soft for me, but that is because I have a bad back. The bathroom is a little plain, and like every other hotel, the water pressure is nominal. The pool area is small and not very well kept (piles of dirty towels, etc.) Everything was clean and the style is modern, but this hotel is starting to show its age. I would definitely stay here again. It is very good, I am just trying to be honest and tell the small negatives.
We had a great stay here. We arrived around 2000 and they were very accommodating to our requests. With 20+ marines rolling in, there was some confusion, but the staff was great. I lost our room key, and they immediately provided me a new one. The pool was warm, room was fabulous, and the staff was great. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for being so great!
Weve always been please with courtyards. This trip was less than desirable as the room was not clean. Size of suite was very nice. Beds are small but mattresses okay. Ladybugs all over windows and curtains. Mini fridge dirty inside. Had to clean everything ourselves. Went with a group and I was charged more than any of them even though Im a Marriott member. Overall Id say this should be rated between a 2.5-3 star.
We’ve stayed at the Courtyard a few times when visiting family in the area. We will now make this our go-to hotel. The staff is great. Love the idea of getting back to the hotel after a long day and having a little food and cocktails. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, walkable too. Close to expressway, but not noisy. Nice indoor pool.
I needed two rooms because my daughter and new baby were coming into town for a visit. I was very skeptical when I booked the rooms because of the age of the hotel its self. The staff was very friendly when I booked the room. My daughter arrived first. I asked her when she called me how the rooms were, she replied with a very positive, very nice! When I arrived I was very pleased with the updated lobby, inviting courtyard and over all look of the hotel. The room surpassed my expectations. I will definitely book at this hotel the next time she is in town.
Nice room. Courtyard view with a balcony. Housekeeping needs more training. No clean towels were given on a daily basis, unless requested. Sheets on bed were not changed, but the bed was made daily at least. Not what I would expect from any Marriott property. Pool was nice but it was freezing in the pool area, had to go outside to warm up and almost run to our room before we froze. Front desk was always nice. Marcus at the front desk was great.
Having just returned from a long vacation abroad, our stay at the Courtyard was by comparison an outstanding experience. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, and EVERYTHING WORKED! We were especially pleased with the friendliness of the front desk staff who up-graded us to a suite with an adjoining room for our son--at no additional cost. The value could not be beat, we paid the AAA rate and it could not have been a better bargain. We plan to definitely stay there the next time we need a hotel in Toledo.
I found this hotel to be well worth the money! The room was clean. The Wifi was fast and did not require constant rebooting and entering a password every 5 minutes. The room was quiet, even with the hotel being full with a softball tournament in the area. The bed was comfortable. The bistro was a nice place to hang out and relax after a busy day! I would definitely recommend this place to friends!
We stayed for just one night and the room was very clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant suprise. The bed was a little hard and the pillows a bit too soft for my preference. That may just be me, however, as my fiance slept very well. I couldnt sleep, so I spent most of the night on the loveseat and read for several hours before heading to bed. The view facing inward towards the courtyard was beautiful and well kept. When visiting family in the area this is our go-to hotel. Definitely would recommend and will return in the future. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Also, we did not get any food at the restaurant there, but have in the past the couple dozen times weve stayed before. The food has always been very good! A nice plus for breakfast or a late night snack.
Decent place to stay for 3 nights on business. Bed was comfortable, Internet works well. Elevator was inoperable during stay for a day, and I was on floor 3. Parking was a little difficult during a busy time. Lobby was nice and had a few newer computers for use. Check in and out was simple and Convienent. Pool area lacks a hot tub, pool is fairly small. I would stay again in the future if in the area.
Very friendly staff! Comfortable rooms and overall great place for quick trips or extended stays! Would have gave 5 stars but.... the pool is freezing cold even tho it seems warm af lol and housekeeping took my clothes with the towels and then left me a note explaining why they didn’t make the bed but also didn’t do anything else.... but overall great stay!!
Stayed at the courtyard In holland OH. for a baseball tourney, the hotel it self was nice. Nice lobby, was able to check in right away. Clean room, balcony, beds were comfortable. I was able to have a drink in the evening while the kids played in the courtyard. I was able to wash my sons uniform, the hotel even gave me a little box of tide! The cAfe was nice, good menu and food, but the morning service was awfully slow. The cafe opened at 7am, after waiting 15 minutes for a server, the front desk finally had to got into the kitchen and tell them they had customers. No one up front, and they were really unprepared for guest. Not sure if the cafe is ran by the hotel or if it is a private company and FYI, this was not the same quality service we received the evening before with drinks and salads.Overall, this was a very nice and unassuming hotel!
This hotel was large and generally attractive and well kept. The room was quiet, balcony was a plus. Lacking in some basic room expectations (e.g., TV guide, phone book, minimal toiletries, listing of hotel amenities or area attractions, no sink in kitchen area). Hotel bar/ restaurant was disappointing. Staff were pleasant.
First of all, they only had a king w/a pull out sofa bed available....we prefer 2 double beds. The king bed was hard as a rock. When we unfolded the sleeper bed, there was a dirty used q-tip on the mattress. The fold out mattress was nonexistent. We canceled our stay for the second night and moved to a different hotel. Would not recommend!
NIIIIIICE stay,The hotel looked up to date and modern. We enjoyed the football game in the lobby by the fire and a swim in the indoor pool for some exercise and fun. The room was clean spacious and comfortable. The associates were polite, helpful and resourceful all the way to delivering a corkscrew to our door. We were in town for a funeral and the courtesy we received was top notch!
We were in Holland for a wedding, then had a death in the family and needed to stay an extra night. The staff at this location totally engaged with our issue and assisted with getting us a Bereavement rate, making sure our reservations were linked so we didnt have to change rooms, etc. Everyone was very kind! Besides that, the accommodations are wonderful, rooms are updated and well-maintained. Very comfortable bed, sofa, etc. - we had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast at the on-site cafe was delicious and fast.
Had a great stay. The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable and quiet. For being a weekend, there were no doors slamming, people talking, etc. The room was very nice, had a patio door I was able to open up and enjoy some fresh air while sitting on the couch. Just a nice homey feeling. There were many places on the property to sit and visit with friends, a beautiful courtyard and very nice lobby area. Best of all, shopping and food was all in walking distance. It was great! Great stay at a very nice, quiet, clean hotel. Will absolutely stay again if Im ever in the Toledo area. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located in a very nice area with lots of services. It is in a convenient area to the highways or just getting across town. It is clean and the rooms are very up to date and roomy. The parking lot was well lit and the staff was really helpful when asked about the surrounding area and restaurants. The only thing I was disappointed in was there was no complimentary coffee or breakfast in the lobby. There was food and beverages for purchase, but nothing complimentary. I will definitely stay there again. It was a pleasure.
Very polite staff, easy to talk to and fast in getting us into a room. The room was clean and well kept, the bathroom was also clean and well kept. Very central, easy to get on the highway and get to where you want to go. Minutes away from the airport. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Stopped for a night heading to Detroit. First impression walking in was impressed. The lobby and bar area is top notch. Front desk service was amazing. I believe her name was Terry. (So sorry if I got it wrong) I had a problem with the first room door lock not working. They quickly got me into another room.It was this second room that earned the five stars. When I opened the door I was immediately taken back to 1998,being a junior in high school. When all the girls wore the smell of strawberry lotion from bath and body works. Its like they took my favorite smell and put it in the room. Then I went to take a shower and used the Tea Tree shampoo and the Lemon body wash. While it was a nice touch. I am a little concerned my wife is going to question me when I come home smelly like Ive been hanging out with another woman.Everything is great with room and location is convenient. This will be my hotel on future trips.
I like Courtyards generally as I almost live in one in particular while I work. Very consistant look. Nice amenities. Comfortable spacious yet cozy common area. Always helpful staff. The king bed was VERY firm, almost unyielding but I slept fine on it (only reason I couldnt give it 5 stars). Lots of big box stores and restaurants around the hotel.
The hotel is very clean and well updated. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The lobby is modern and comfortable. The pool area is also very nice, but no hot tub. In room WiFi has a free and a paid their, I was getting about 4 MB up and down on the free tier which is pretty good for hotel WiFi.Overall this is a nice hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The pillows are awesome.
I highly recommend this place to spend a night or a few days. Helpful front desk. We loved having a patio off of our room to sit outside. Everything was clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Enjoyed having a sofa in the room to sit on. Just not sure why they do not include a breakfast with your stay.
This hotel has many things that make it easy on you such as the ordering food and making you lunches. The location is very nice too all stores and restaurants around. Yet the beds are not the most comfortable and if you need to save food in the refrigerator for lunches the next day it’s not very good for it. The outside of the building could be kept up better as well. Rooms are a little out of date but get the Job done. Hotel is nice but could use a spruce up.
The staff I came in contact with were all friendly and excellent. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed. Really the only complaint I had was that the mattress and pillows were not the best. For a one night stay along the route it was perfect, but not sure Id want to stay more than 1 night.
We arrived late to the courtyard and noticed a smell to our room but thought it was just musty so adjusted the air and thought we would be fine. We were tired and immediately went to bed. When we woke, we noticed the trashcans full of trash and food. The smell was worse and it makes you wonder what else was not done to our room before we arrived.
Not all rooms were renovated yet last visit, but I believe they are now. The new rooms are much brighter and more welcoming. Elevators could still use an update, and ice machine on our floor is broken, but this was the best choice for this exit even before the renovations and is even more so now. The front is now up to date with latest Courtyard styling and amenity. Plenty of shops, gas and food choices nearby, and convenient to 80, 475 and 23.
I travel a lot for work. I appreciate a few things, good food and a clean room. My room smelled musty and the food wasn’t very good. I ordered a hamburger. It was what I thought a thawed frozen pattie. I just wouldn’t recommend for the few amenities they do have they are poor.
We were on a long road trip with the kids and decided we needed to stop and get some rest. I called the hotel from the road and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We arrived thirty minutes later, were quickly checked in and made to feel very comfortable. The rooms were in great condition and we would go back in a heartbeat.
Not often am I greeted with such warm smiles. I was traveling with a group and had many requests (type of beds, rooms being adjacent to each other, place in a quiet separate area from other guest, 1st floor) and the list goes on. The staff embraced our list of requests and accommodated them all. This truly made us feel welcomed!
We were just needing a hotel for an overnight stay as we were traveling from one state to the next. When we got to our hotel we were very exhausted and hungry. We quickly got some food made for us which ended up being delicious! We had a few extra minutes before we went to bed so we went for a quick swim, which also was excellent. Then come bed time the beds were AMAZING!!! We all joked about how much we wish we could take the beds and pillows with us, soooo comfortable!!
The lobby and rooms were great. Very updated- however, when I drove up the outside looked older (I almost didnt go in)Glad I did!The evening dinner options were good and I should have just ate there than the steakhouse down the road. The dessert was good though!Best Hotel near the Airport (I would bet)
This Courtyard Marriott is a pretty good host for those traveling for work. With the exception of a recent phone call to verify a potentially fraudulent charge from them, they are usually very friendly and helpful. However, it was unfortunate that when I needed their help most, one of their employees, Michelle, was incredibly rude and reluctant to assist (luckily I was transferred to someone else). This hotel is fairly clean and it has a great location close to a variety of fast food and restaurants. My favorite thing about this hotel is the hotel lobby; its very comfortable and I love that they have a fireplace.
First thing when I went to check in I was greated by a lady who was very impolite, she treated me like I was some kind of trash. When I said my name for the reservation she informed me that my card was declined, when I asked what card it was she could not give me that information and informed me that I would not be able to have the rate I reserved for online. I still dont understand how my card was declined when I paid with the same card I reserved the room with. I happily handed her my card and was asked what brought me in. I stated I was in town to see my niece for her birthday and recieved a reply with attitude that they do not encourage parties. I never said I was there for a party, I stated we were not having a party and that my daughter and my 2 grandchildren were also coming into town. She repeated herself that they do not allow parties, and I stated once again we were not having a party, we were spending time with our family for the first time in months because it was my 6 year old nieces birthday and so my sister could see her 2 year old niece and 6 month old niece (my granddaughters) for the first time. After that when we got to our room it was not furnished appropriately, we were told we had a king bed and a pull out sofa, there was a pull out chair! We did recieve a roll away which was awful, it was nothing but springs wrapped in fabric along with our chair bed and the sofa bed in my sisters room next door. There were no pillows or linens for the pull outbeds or the roll away they brought so when we were getting ready for bed we had to wait to have that stuff brought to the room. When we went to the pool to our surprise there was a HUGE PARTY GOING ON!!! This is definitely not an issue, however to reinforce to me how much they discourage it when I checked in and then to see that I was appalled at the way I was spoken to about it when I checked inp. The room had trash in the trashcan and crumbs all over the floor when we walked in and there were no bags for the ice bucket. We also stayed at this hotel about 6 weeks ago and had a very nice experience other then our food at the cafe, which took a month to refund back to my card. So, when I said we were coming back into town this past weekend I figured since our stay was so nice last time we would go back but this definitely went from a 5 star stay to a 2 star stay real quick. I was very displeased with the way the service of the desk and the conditions of our room. I think we will be staying somewhere different next time. We usually visit every couple months and we trying to be closer to my sisters house but I will take the distance for a better room and better service.
Two stars for two reasons. The pillows in the rooms are tiny and thin and not conducive to a good nights sleep. The coffee pods in the room are not the correct size so this is how I had to make my coffee this morning! Rooms are a nice size and newly remodeled however.
The staff members were very friendly and kind. The rooms were very noisy. Easily heard people in the hallway and the road noise was louder than it really should be for a room on the other side of the hotel. The room was cramped and in need of TLC. The small bar ran out of light beer and it was not busy at all. I am not sure I would recommend staying here. It was not anything special.
We ended up at this hotel at a time when the city had declared a ban in drinking water due to a toxic algae bloom in the public water supply. In spite of the obvious challenges this presented for the staff, they were gracious, professional and accommodating. They handed out supplies of bottled water to each guest for personal use during the stay. The décor is very attractive in this recently renovated property, and the rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The restaurant was able to stay open (though all others in the area were closed), by modifying its offerings and limiting them to foods which could be made without reliance on the local water. Though the hotels ice machines were shut off, the bar and restaurant staff were able to accommodate requests for iced drinks by using only bagged ice. This property really showed grace under pressure and the staff should be commended. I can only imagine how pleasant it must be to stay here under normal circumstances, and would gladly return if Im ever in the Toledo area again.
They had a very nice greeter inside the lobby that welcomed me and let me know exactly where I need to be. Conference room clean and had plenty of space and outlets for all laptops and hotel had free WiFi to allow us to work on the program real time with instructors. Refreshments we will placed and looked very nice as treated great
My wife and I travel to Holland, Ohio From Columbus, Ohio quite often to visit our Son and his family. We have stayed no where else because of the excellent staff and great location of the Hotel. The hotel is always well maintained and the staff is the best. The location of the hotel is right by resturaunts, Shopping and grocery stores. it is close to the Toledo Airport. Everything you need is close. I highly recommend this hotel for any travel you might have to the Holland and Toledo area.
We stayed at this hotel for a weekend volleyball tournament. Arrived later in the evening than expected and upgraded to a suite. The hotel looks a little dated on the outside; however very nice and relaxing on the inside. Wish they served breakfast before 7am for the early risers, but if you place an order at Bob Evans (at least 30 minutes ahead...) it works out too! Well for sure stay again if were in the area!
First off the sheets, blanket and pillowcase has a very strong smell of bleach where my eyes became bloodshot red, the mattress on the bed was completely worn out and sunk down in the middle. Housekeeping on our last night stay never showed up to clean our room, so we spent our last night in a dirty room. We didnt arrive back to our room until 11:30 pm at night only to find our room was never cleaned. The rate was $149.00 and our stay was horrible. I dont recommend Marriott.
This is a good solid hotel. Staff is kind, courteous and always available, The GM is always mingling about which says a lot about how this property cares about quest services. Hotel is slightly outdated compared to other properties, but this in no way should stop you from making a reservation. Food, stores and other places are within walking distance.
We think Courtyard has excellent service; at check in, if we need something etc. The rooms are; well decorated with current style, comfortable and CLEAN. Also there is wifi, coffee in the room or Starbucks products in the lobby. We have been here many many times while traveling as well as when our daughter attended the college in town. We highly recommend it!
This is a very good hotel for a decent price. Very clean and located just next to the the parking lot of a shopping center which includes half a dozen restaurants within walking distance. There is also shopping like Target, Walmart, Sams Club and Michaels for those items you forgot about. The property is quiet and secure even with all this shopping.
Better off going one exit south to Dussel. Very dated in the hallways and the rooms. I had stayed at a Marriott north of Cincinnati the night prior and it was better priced and included breakfast. When we brought this up to the manager she did not seem concerned. Seems to lack the customer first mentality. It is also concerning the lack of consistency compared to the Marriott I had stayed in the night before compared to this one. Like I said go one exit south if you can.
This particular location of Courtyard-Airport is always clean and has friendly staff. We come twice a year to visit family and for the past 2.5 years this is where we stay. Its spacious, inviting, accommodating and one of the most important factors CLEAN!! Im very, very particular about hotels being clean as anybody should be. We have always had a great experience with this hotel and this is where we will always stay.
To reserve a room here, you must call a Marriot call center that may or may not have all the information about the specific hotel at the location youll be staying at. We arrived (2 adults, a 3yr old and an 8 yr old) to the hotel on a Monday after 9hrs in the car. A/C not working well, pool is only open on weekends due to COVID (does that make any sense?), ice machine not working, masks required. The call center said breakfast is available, just grab-and-go due to COVID. OK, thats alright. But, when we went to get the grab-and-go breakfast, they said they dont do breakfast; thats only on the weekend (like the pool). Also does not make any sense.Definitely wont be staying at the Courtyard Marriott in the future.
Smoking and e cigarettes were in the halls and meeting rooms. Elevators smelled.Rooms were clean and staff was generally friendly, but a poor value for the stay. Loud noises in the halls woke us up at night. Plan on paying about $25 over your quoted price for the taxes, etc. per night.
U have to pay for coffee in the lobby, the shuttle driver wouldnt give me a ride 2 miles away. The room itself is small, shabby and dusty. There are pigeon feathers blowing in from the hvac system. Paint is peeling everywhere, in need of a renovation badly, and the staff is abrasive. You will regret staying here.
Fine for the price, but I was very frustrated with their fake recycling. They have a recycle bin in the lobby, but if you pay attention, its just one bin under the counter that collects both trash and recycling so its really all just going to the trash. Also there is no recycling in the rooms. Soundproofing is pretty good for your neighbors, but you will hear everything that goes on in the hallway, especially the ice machine. If you dont want to hear the ice machine run early in the morning when someones feeling up their cooler before going on a fishing trip or something, ask to be at the very end of the hallway. They do not provide lotion in the rooms fyi.
The Courtyards have been wonderful and relaxing. I dont sleep well if I am not at home but I always get a good nights rest whenever I am at the Courtyards. The service is friendly and inviting. To be truthful, it is the service overall that sells the stay for me. You can paint a pig but it is still a pig. The Courtyards are something better, grander, just a little bit more then the other stays I have experienced. Thank you for a good nights rest.
Was very pleased with this property very good location my room was very clean and had a comfortable bed I got a good nights rest the breakfast could have had a few more options but overall good price and friendly staff I would recommend to friends and family. I will stay there again.
I would recommend staying here to others. We came in for University of Toledo family weekend, many of the other hotels were booked up. Although we didnt get a special UT parent rate that a few others were offering, we decided to stay at this Courtyard, which is relatively convenient to campus using 475. In the morning, I enjoyed hearing the birds chirp on our balcony overlooking the peaceful courtyard while I drank my morning Starbucks coffee. The only thing that disappoints me about a Courtyard, that Ive encountered before is the lack of complimentary free breakfast (and coffee) that other chains offer. Two other things to note: the shower was wonderfully clean with adequate hot water
Old school building that has been 100% updated to modern standards. Extremely clean n well maintained. Awesome staff, security runs around outside all night. Easy on n off I-475. Plenty of parking. Shopping across the street. Bob Evans is next door. Walmart is a mile away. Well worth staying here.
OMG we went in for a Midas company picnic stayed here first time ever and had a wonderful time the young girl at the bistro was getting ready to close at 9, but I kinda suggested to her if she stayed open she would not be unhappy with it. I opened a tab and she had the best sales night ever 😁
All in all a good experience. Check was great - Saturday morning to get a coffee from Starbucks was a challenge. Exercise room is small and not adequate for the motel as a who;e. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable. Locationhad plenty of restaurants near by ( really enjoyed Ralphies ).
My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving to spend time with our kids and grandkids. My grandkids always love the pool time and for once, I found a place that the pool was warm. The hotel itself was perfect but Kudos on the heated pool. I will be staying here again in my next stop to see the grandkids.
Check in & beds were excellent! If you get past, the dead possum I stepped on getting into the back of my truck, after maneuvering the narrow parking, the plugged bathroom sink, the bistro instead of a continental breakfast, insuffient supplies for coffee in the room, watching tv at 90 degrees while listening to road noise it was great!
Two Queen beds worked well for this stay. Here for a soccer tournament. Pool ok. No hot tub. Cafe in lobby nice for breakfast and starbucks cannisters. In the Evening, we were told we couldnt sit in the lobby area unless we bought food. Then, tried to buy food with 30 minutes left until they closed and was told they didnt have time to cook it. A group came in and sat in the lobby after that and were allowed to stay. I am a gold member, unusual and disappointing service for Marriott.
For the past 3 years, I have been coming here once a month for work and I stay for 2 days at a time. Usually I have no issues with this place, maybe something minor here or there but typically nothing big. The rooms are nice, and the majority of the staff are very nice, and many know me by my face and name. I have some issues like there is no hot tub and no microwaves in the rooms (there is one in the main lobby for everyone to use) and the food at the Bistro is pricey but good. My issue is with Jorge (pronounced Hor-hay) who is a shift lead/assistant manager here. I have no idea how he has kept his job for so long because he has no idea how to handle people or have any good customer service skills. I have had a few large issues, and every time he is the one on duty that I have to deal with. They lost my reservation one time about a year ago, and Jorge tried to blame me for it and was completely rude (this has happened a few times where they didnt have the reservation stuff correct). Today, I check into my room, get some food and watch TV....and when it was time for bed, I saw a large unwashed blood stain on my pillow! BLOOD! When I went down the the office with the pillow, Jorge was there and the first thing he said to me (no apology or anything, he didnt even look sorry) was When did you check in? A reasonable question I thought (at first). When I told him I had just checked in a few hours earlier his response was And you just noticed this now? Totally with blame and contempt implied!! I couldnt believe it! How rude!! I just found blood on my pillow and realized my room was skipped for cleaning (there was more stuff) and you are going to try and blame me?? Even the two front desk ladies were a little taken aback from his behavior. He needs to go, or get some customer service training. This hotel is mostly good, definitely a better hotel at a decent price to stay at. Just prepare to receive bad customer service and be blamed if you have to deal with management for issues.
When I saw the word Airport in the title I was a little concerned, but honestly I didnt hear one plane! This hotel is far enough away that you dont get that. Our room was clean and everything worked well, the staff was amazing, and the food in the lobby cafe was awesome!
My only part that was not excellent dealt with the dining room. I purchased the NFL package and the lady at the dining area. Didnt understand that complimentary drinks and appetizers. She just a bit rude and unprofessional. It all worked out though and the food was great.
No hot tub, was disappointed about that, but a very nice property, excellent room and very quiet. great location, minutes away from downtown Toledo. located close to everything we were interested in. Lobby staff very helpful (directions to local attractions)Would stay there again absolutely!
Ive stayed at this Courtyard because its close to family. Love this hotel. Clean lobby and room and friendly staff. Rooms are nicely decorated and beds are comfortable. Close to the Toledo Airport and lots of restaurants, metro parks and shopping. Highly recommended.
Yes, pretty place but.... My family picked this place to sleep one night on a trip because we had stayed at this place at another location and it was wonderful. We paid around 160$ to sleep on what felt like hardwood!! Im not exaggerating, if I layed one way it would seriously cut off my circulation then another way same thing😡 ..... it was the most important part and it sucked!!!! My husband was on the other bed with my son and he said the same thing. So dont waste your money!
As stated earlier in the survey the staff was professional, knowledgable, and very helpful. They made what started off to be a bad trip a very enjoyable stay. We moved to Marriott from another hotel because it was very substandard and misrepresented in their web ads and reviews. Courtyard Toledo Airport Holland was a wonderful change.
When I checked in the woman at the front counter was rude and very dismissive and disrespectful. there was no microwave and no free continental breakfast otherwise the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, & I would rate this a 4 out of 5 stars they just need better staff.
We were promised a 2 queen room which wasnt available without paying more money. The pullout mattress had a bodily fluid stain on it. The rollaway mattress was brown with stains. My moms room had a bug in the blankets. Card charged before checkout for the incorrect amount wuth no explanation given. The list goes on. We will never return.
It seems that court yard is not a family/kids friendly hotel. The family with kids expect free basing services like coffee/milk after late arrival. The breakfast should also be available free to silver elite members. The services at residence inn is much much better and more family friendly.
Im disappointed at the way the staff handled the safety concerns we had. In the hotel parking lots there are signs telling you to put things away and keep everything locked as well as in the thing they give you the keys in. The fact that we had to report other guests propping a door open several times and the staff was aware they were letting others in was a problem. All around the hotel says to keep things locked for a reason. Staff brushed it off and casually called sheriffs office. They didnt offer to move us to a room away from the door that was being propped open or anything. The woman was very snide.
The hotel is nice and clean and in close proximity to the airport, Sams, Walmart and many other shopping stores. Several eating establishments are available. I thought the prices were high compared to others in the area. The internet is very slow possible not even worth accessing - they will talk you into spending more money to get a slightly faster internet connection.
There were a few issues that did not meet my expectaion as an elite card member. I did not complain to the manager this time because complaints in the past were resolved by putting some of my points back in my account which was very nice. However, the same problems exist again with nearly each visit. Apparently no one is really listening. Im not really the type of customer who complains Id simply take my business elsewhere.
Having received such extraordinary service at our first visit to Courtyard Toledo Airport Holland Ohio, we chose it again in December. Once again we experienced pleasant staff and clean rooms. It is such a relief to know we can depend on these qualities each visit. Well be back in 2015!
I made 2 reservations at this hotel and the hotel lost one of them. There was no effort to accommodate my husband and myself. Staff couldnt even find the person who took the hotel room. Although I havent had time to write a letter to corporate, I shall in the near future.
My company uses this hotel, and the only complaint that I have is that the computer center is on the side of the lobby and it is extremely loud and cold. I try to get my homework done on the road and avoid traveling with laptop due to airport hassle, but this is outrages. They have all kinds of blocks on the computers and with the winter there is nothing but a cold breeze hitting from the left and right :( I really do not think they gave this new set up much of a thought. I do not think the remodeling was very necessary and definitely not the best idea. Also just a thought, although the ladies are very nice I wish there were men working here as well all I see is women and sometimes hear their personal conversations while I am on the computer. Like I said it is loud! I also wish they provided breakfast or something complimentary.

2022-06-17This definitely is a five star establishment the staff is warm and friendly they take the time to speak to you with Kindness. The location is wonderful because it’s right near shopping Spring Meadows and all of the restaurants that’s around it. One of the things that stands out in my mind is that the rooms are clean and the bathrooms are spotless. There are always plenty of towels and washcloths. Thank you for Marriott staff for always making me feel welcomed. Let’s not forget the extras pool and the workout room a great touch. Make sure you stop by the bar for a wonderful cup of coffee in the morning.

2022-01-07Unplanned stay when car broke down driving through Toledo. Very pleased with my stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Entire property was much nicer than your average hotel. Manger heard my car had broken down, asked if I had dinner and offered the hotel shuttle to take me to a restaurant or grocery store. Everyone I interacted with at the hotel was friendly and courteous. Overall a very positive experience.

2022-07-02I was not going to post a negative review, after speaking with the manager Michelle in the morning the night after my stay. She took my concerns seriously and as a manager did her best to correct the matter. She stated a discount would be given at Check out later that morning. And what has made me write this review is, upon Checking out later that morning, I was met at the front desk by a woman with sleeves of tattoos that I know for sure she didnt like me, never asking my room number she knew who i was. She spoke nothing to me..except youre all set and do you need a receipt after I said yes, she printed one , tossed it on the counter and literally turned her back and walked away. What a shock! After Michelle made everything right, I was treated like garbage from obviously a angry, untrained, possibly racist , I had no clue!. I was very uncomfortable, felt horrible. In todays world at the rate of inflation and what Marriott charged for this room, a little professionalism is more then expected when one spends their hard earned money. Why this front desk person was angry with me for obtaining fair price adjust for the poor quality room we were in. I can attach pictures, but not Im not going to. Michelle knows she needs toClean and fix house, and in more ways then one. I have to give at least one star as a rating, sadly it is the minimum . This Marriott property does not come close to Marriott standards. Go across the street to more better priced and modern facilities with clean rooms.

2022-04-17Great staff and accommodations!! We had to come here after needing to leave our house unexpectedly, and was presently surprised by how helpful and polite everyone was given the late hour. Even though we had enough bed space for everyone, my one daughter prefers to sleep on the floor, and when I asked for an extra blanket for her, the front desk clerk went above and beyond by getting two blankets and an extra pillow!! Well definitely be back!!

2022-02-20Marriott has previously set a pretty good Bar, but Courtyard/Holland, OH really blew it: Housekeeping never bothered to Vacuum the Room after prior guest. Never bothered to put liners in Trash Cans (creating extra work to clean Trash cans). Also they dont appear to clean Tubs, attempting to take a Shower resulted in 2 of water which wouldnt drain. Tried to watch a Bit of TV, but it would not power on. After investigation, no power strip in back of cabinet. You either have TV or Fridge plugged in, but not both... Now Marriott Brands along with other Hotel chains have always had Coffee for its guests available as early as 5:30am, I have grown quite accustomed to hitting the road with my mug full in the morning. Imagine my surprise when I came to the Lobby for a morning cup and was told they could Ring me up a cup of Starbucks, WTH? I wouldnt buy Starbucks with a $5 Coupon. Where is the standard Complimentary Coffee??? Then other Marriott brands offer at least a Gratis Continental or better Breakfast. This Location is offering to sell me a $4 Muffin... Very Disappointing stay, frequent traveler going by this location often, but I wont be back...

2022-03-29For the most part its what you can expect from a courtyard. Staff were helpful as well as friendly. First thoughts were average until I rested my head on the pillow, the pink and black water damaged ceiling was a welcoming sight as I lay down for the night. Normally my workouts are followed by a dip in the pool however, at this location there would be no swimming for me. Comparatively to the advertised photos, the pool lacked the colour blue resembling that of a near by creek. My stay was for business purposes and I would hope to never return at the hotels current state.

2022-03-21Came from a couple hours away. Stayed there for the ohio State bowling tournament 3/11 - 3/13. The first night there, my car was broken into and vandalized at 4am. Driver’s window shattered to pieces. I was parked directly under a bright street light in the hotel parking lot assuming my car would be safe. Another member of the bowling group’s car was broken into as well and items were also stolen. I spoke with The manager and wouldn’t even attempt to help me saying “there’s nothing they could do”. No attempt to make it right since i was a guest on their property. Maybe help pay for my window, or comp my stay, nope, nothing! They have zero security cameras outside!! Every well known named brand hotels have cameras outside on the property! (Or at least the threat of cameras to keep the theives away). So I wouldn’t recommend staying here! I’m definitely NOT coming back! The floors were nasty and sticky in my room, bed was super hard/uncomfortable! Would rather sleep on a cot. The toilet was broken and would not flush. Overall experience was absolutely terrible!!

2022-05-19Positive: It was convenient to location of our business. Negative: Bed was not comfortable. I was set up directly across from the ice machine. Loud guests past midnight. I was traveling for business with my coworker and we were assigned rooms on different floors on opposite sides of the hotel even tho I booked both toget

2022-04-25Room was pretty clean other than a dirty rag on the table. What got me was I was told at check in that my room had included a breakfast for 4. So I waited for breakfast, which was later than I wanted to leave to tell me no, breakfast is for sale. Ill eat a free hotel breakfast but Im not paying for great value brand bacon.

2022-07-05Stayed here in mid June for a softball tournament in the area. My vehicle was broken into during the middle of the night and my AirPods were stolen out of my glove box along with a Yeti cooler from the trunk of the vehicle. If you read other reviews car break ins are quite common here. The staff didn’t seem to care. Front desk did nothing for me at checkout besides take my name and phone number so a manager could follow up. No manager ever followed up. I’ve been a Bonvoy member for 18 years with over 400 lifetime nights earned. So much for loyalty. This property besides being unsafe is also old and tired and in need of renovation. A lot more better options to stay at in the Toledo area.
