Conrads Tire Express & Total Car Care in other cities:
Five stars for their excellent customer service, reasonable prices and same day tire replacement. We were from out-of-town, had an unexpected repair and no appointment. They took excellent care of our car, shuttled us to and from where we needed to be and then made sure we understood every aspect of the repair. Their service advisor, Thad, was so helpful. If I lived closer, Conrad’s would be my new go-to! Thank you!
Joe went above and beyond to check our tires, after a low pressure alert forced us to take a detour, measure and get air until arriving in Cleveland- a 2+ hour trip. Thanks to his kind, thorough attention, we were able to safely drive home- and at no charge!! Who does that today? Conrad’s does- thanks to Joe!!
Five-Star experience at Conrads! Working with Thad and Mike was fantastic. I dropped off my car first thing in the morning and was able to pick it up by the end of the work day. I dropped it off for an oil change and tire rotation, but knew there were some other items maintenance items that needed addressed. Mike sent me a video of a walk around of my car, outlining what he saw, and his recommendations. I called him and was able to talk with him about all of his recommendations, including their cost, so I could make an informed decision. I did not feel pressured into anything and felt I was making the best decision for me and my car. Car now drives great! Will certainly be back. The convenience and service quality cant be beat!
As always, Conrad’s gives me five star service. I started going to Conrad’s because it is in walking distance to my home. I continue going to Conrad’s because their service is great, my issues are always resolved same day, and they do a great job of educating me and keeping me updated on what’s going on. They send video texts to show what is happening and to ask if additional repairs are permitted if they find more. If I can’t afford it at the time they give me a detailed list of the issues and cost. When I go back, it’s always the same. They are my car Dad’s and it’s nice to have them since my Dad is in another other state and can’t fix my car issues anymore :-( I love Conrad’s.
Conrads on Chester has been our go-to location for tires and repairs from brakes to replacing headlights for many years. Their service is excellent as is their work. Their prices are fair and the job is done right and on time every time. Theyll even give you a ride to work on weekdays and they never do extra work without your permission. Their staff is friendly and professional. Thanks Thad!
Im not a car guy but my Mom was really happy with the service and I wanted to experience this from my own point of view. I was pleasantly surprised and excited with the level of detail and commitment to excellence. There was always an open channel of dialogue and the work was done in well enough time for to still go about my day. Thaddeus was a great guy and expressed details was I had questions or concerns. The place is very much worth the time and money I will be returning in the future.
Very easy to schedule an appointment via Conrads website. Dropped off car at 7am on way to work - very convenient! By 9:30am, the technician called me and emailed me video assessment of items that needed maintenance (brakes, air filter) and also discovered that I had a nail in a tire requiring replacement. All work was completed by end of day and I picked up my car at 6pm. Conrads pricing is very competitive with non-dealer auto care businesses and at least 25% below dealer pricing for the same services. Conrads provides great service at a fair price - Ill use them again for future car service and I highly recommend Conrads!
Great quick service. Fair price, even sent me a video to watch showing me what the issue was and inspecting all of my tires. That was a pretty neat feature. At least I know they actually did an inspection and pointed out the issue to my tire leak. Dropped car off in morning and had it back before lunch. Staff is always courteous as usual at this location.
I made an appointment online to have a leaking tire fixed and an oil change at the downtown Cleveland shop. Service was prompt, the mechanic even sent me a brief video of his inspection of my car with commentary. He then came in to consult with me about what needed to be done, and the work was finished in less time than they initially had indicated. Prices are good - my synthetic oil change was actually a bit less than what I previously paid at a different place. Friendly, polite and responsive team. Recommended.
First time here, would definitely reccomend. They got me in fast, day after I called. Bruce was so nice! They also sent me a video review after inspecting to show me whats going on. I loved that. Service was finished on time. They reccomended a few things that needed done that werent related to what I brought it in for, but they werent pushy about it at all. I will be back!
Ive taken my car here multiple times and each time I am really impressed with the customer service. I love that they send you a video of what your car looks like while they are under the hood, while making recommendations. None of the recommendations are pushy which is much appreciated. Seriously very friendly folks at the downtown location. Thank you!
I haven’t been to Conrad’s in awhile. I have a newer car and have been lucky that the car has run very well. But Monday evening trying to leave work was when my luck ran out. My trusty Toyota Corolla wouldn’t start for me.My husband came from home to jump start the battery, but that didn’t work. He went to Conrad’s nearby to purchase a new battery. There he met Bruce the store manager. Bruce offered to send Scott to help my husband install the battery. Both guys went above and beyond to help us. We eventually had the car towed and Conrad’s fixed what was wrong and got me back on the road same day. I even received a video of my car showing me what needed to be fixed. That’s a first. Appreciate you guys. Thanks.Connie Carlin
Provided excellent service for a reasonable price. Very good about giving customers a heads-up about additional maintenance work that might be coming on the horizon, but without it being up-selling. Seem very fair and honest. The service takes a bit longer, though, so it’s best to leave the vehicle if you can.
Conrads was able to get me in same day for an oil change and rotation. They always provide such great service along with a short video calling attention to future maintenance line items. I go there regularly and trust them with my 2010 Dodge Charger SRT8. Highly recommended.
Very long term Conrad’s customer for our three family vehicles. Once in a great while I’ll try another establishment but keep returning to Conrad’s. It’s the comfort factor. Always great service, no BS and they really do stand behind their work and products. However, their coupons are a total pain when trying to time service and then remembering to bring them in. Why cant they reward faithful customers by automatically extending them at payment, no questions asked.
The staff at Conrad’s was friendly and informative. I have a few repairs I need to get on my car and am unable to afford all the work at once. The mechanic was understanding and told me what was the most important repair to address first. I also like the fact that the mechanic sent me a video showing me the repairs I needed. Conrad’s prices are lower than the dealership and I like the fact I can drop my car off in the morning and have it ready by the time I get off work. My only complaint is I wish I would have gotten a video of the finished repairs. Overall I recommend Conrad’s Tire Express & Total Car Care. 12/6/18 Brought my car in for new tires. Conrad’s service was fast and efficient. I was given maintenance recommendations with no pressure to purchase, but I plan to bring my car back to Conrad’s to get the recommendations addressed. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars
Bruce was one of those extraordinary professionals who provides quality services and customer care that seems to be more rare these days. I give Bruce 5 stars. He did great work on my car. Considering I dont have a spare tire, I would have liked to have stored 1of my old most decent tire in my trunk. Ted was as exceptional, except at the very end. Ted didnt offer me popcorn and a bottle of water as he did the guy he served in front of me. Considering I spent almost $2k in one visit when I originally just came in for an oil change and Im willing to wager the guy in front of me in line didnt spend any where near what I did, I should have been offered 2 bags of popcorn and 2 bottles of water!
Couple of years ago we were in town for our daughters appointment at Cleveland Clinic, two hours from home. Had a tire issue that needed repaired and even though they were quite busy, they got us in with no appointment and on our way in about 1 hour. Truly thankful for the consideration we were shown on that day, great service! I have recommended you to all my friends and co-workers.
The service team there ate excellent! I needed to have my tires replaced quickly as I work in city miles away from where I gotten a flat tire and Mike stepped up to my needs and got the work completed very quickly. I will gladly & highly recommend the Conrad’s there to my associates and friends
Always pleasant to work with. Fair prices, dependable service. Theyve serviced both my brakes and tires for the past four years and Ive never felt anything but valued. I find them trustworthy and honest. Good group of people in there (at least at the Copley location).
As always the representatives at Conrads Tire Express provide A1 quality work and go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I had two new tires replaced. A coolant system flush and my transmission flushed by their professionals. Afterwards I went straight to get an Emissions test and my car past with flying colors. Thank you Conrads.
Ill return to Conrads again. I like the video they send of the inspection. They installed a new oil drain plug after I dropped off a new one from the dealership. The new plugs installation was free of charge.I wish they sent more coupons via email to encourage me to return for the recommended services.
First-class professionals all the way. Conrad’s really stands out as an example of great customer service. Everybody I dealt with in the shop knew his job solid and took responsibility for making sure the job got done right. Pleasure to deal with these guys. My thanks to Bruce, Adam, and Thad. I am just a traveler who got car trouble in Cleveland. I was so lucky AAA steered me here. Conrad’s certainly gets my hearty recommendation! Give them a try, you won’t regret it.
Conrads’s is a good place I can trust. There work is dependable with a warranty that gives me the security I need and want. I have taken all my cars to them for years. I love there customer service and the way they explain to me things about my cars that seem hard to understand. There patience with me is priceless. This is the only place I trust to take my car. I highly suggest and recommend this company to anyone looking for the best work to be done. Sincerely yours Sandra Dulaney.
Awesome service! Mike did a really good job helping me to understand what was wrong with my car and what I needed to do in order to correct it. I really liked when they took a video to show me the problem and not just tell me oh, because I have no idea about fixing cars. I would definitely recommend to others to take your car here! Keep up the good work guys
Called on a Thursday to get an appt for Friday and they were able to get me in the same day. Went in for an oil change and it only took about a half hour. They also told me everything I should be getting done along with the prices. Conrads is the only place Ill go for oil changes, tires, wheel alignments, etc.
Where do I start? Online appointment booking was easy and intuitive, dropping off was a breeze, the staff is always friendly, and to top it off I received a text message with a link to a video taken by my mechanic showing me my engine, the good parts, and my corroded parts that were suggested for replacement. He finished by quoting me all the pricing up front, no surprises. They know what customers want, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process.
Great service. My only disappointment was they tried to upscale on items I didn’t need. 😉I just purchased wipers a few weeks ago guys. And my maintenance manual doesn’t suggest a $100 fuel system clean under 20,000 miles.Mileage is better with the better oil change. And I appreciate the video review of my car. Thanks
I love this Conrad’s. Everyone is nice and sincere. I like that they sent me a video of my car inspection so I can actually see what they’re talking about! That’s awesome. Brandon was awesome as well. Very nice and explained everything thoroughly for me. They also shuttle bussed me to my work. 10/10
October 2020 brought my vehicle in and they replaced the starter. By May 2021 the same starter failed. Im not from Ohio. My local mechanic said when Conrad installed they didnt do it right. They never cleaned off the wire terminals that attach to the starter. Conrad charged me the price of a new starter, but my impression is was rebuilt one, and a poorly one at that.
Updating my review. When I brought my car in Brandon noticed I had an oil leak. We agreed to put the dye in so we can diagnose where is was leaking. At the time I didn’t know there was still a warranty on the car. I called the dealership and had them look up the warranty, I only had 2 months left on! When I took it to them because of the dye they were able to see many of my seals were leaking and replaced them all under warranty. Paying $80 to add the dye just saved me over $1800 in items covered under warranty! Thanks for being so detailed when completing the oil changes!
I had never had my car serviced here, needed an oil change, found a great deal for an oil change with a coupon so I said why not? I was very pleasantly surprised! I am giving this business 5 stars because the staff actually valued me and my time. They have free rides to&from work if you need to leave your vehicle, free COLD water popcorn, etc. for customers, the place was spic and span clean and oh yeah -- they do a good job on your ride with reasonable prices. Good vibrations all the way around. Another plus is I actually overheard one of the young guys telling a fellow customer how much he enjoyed working there. Would definitely trust them to work on my gift from God--my good running 2003 Mercury Sable. Thanks Guys!
I wanted my wheel alignment done and I got my car the first time and my car was drifting to the left when I centered my wheel while driving after they “were done”. I bring it back to them the next day and they said they would solve the issue and they still didn’t fix and I called to bring it in again and said they would have a technician drive it with me and they did my alignment again For the 3rd time. They tried lying to me saying my rotors were bad and brakes were bad and that isn’t the case. Brakes and rotors have nothing to do with my car driving straight. They are completely money hungry and just want you to spend money. My car is still not the right way as it should be driving in a straight line when my wheel is centered!
I work right around the corner and have always left my car for hours at a time. The Chester Conrads team always has it finished in a couple hours. I appreciate the inspection video and phone call after to discuss any repairs that may be needed. I never feel pressured to buy. I will always bring my cars here.
Lovely place to take your vehicle. The people have excellent customer service. They explain whats wrong with your vehicle, explain the price (and try to modify, if possible), will drop you off at your desire place and pick you up in a timely manner. Great experience. Faith Hope Love!
I wish I can give 0 stars. Staff isn’t friendly. I got my new tires done 12/2017 They became bad in 10 months. Clearly mention it is under warranty up to 36000 miles. I have ONLY drive 6000 miles on this car and tire already bad. Front desk person scheduled the appointment for Monday and told me they should be cover under warranty. I have dropped my car at 10 am to Conrad and told them that I will pick up my car at 4 pm. I called them at 4 pm and they did not even start working on my car yet and I was told they will call me soon. When I call back at 5:15 pm they told me to pick up the car and tire will not cover under warranty because they found boiled joint and wheel alignment is bad on my car and give me estimate for $440. I am never going to Conrad ever again and I will make sure anyone I know will never go there again.
I had my car towed to the shop and got the bad news that my engine had given up on me. Mike had already found a replacement and had a number ready for me so that I could make an informed decision. Theyve been amazing and are going to hold the car for me while I buy a new one a get someone to take it. A+ service!
I had a screw in my tire.I called and spoke with Adam.He said bring it over. I brought paperwork with me and sat in the lobby and worked. It took about 1 hour. They plugged the hole.Cost $23.71 with sales tax. They were very nice and it really helped me out on short notice!Thank you!!
I am a Conrad fan. Since its near my workplace, I can drop my car off and leave it. I really dont know where else I could go to get the level of thoroughness and exceptional work I get from Conrads. I rely on them to not only repair my car, but advise me about upcoming issues. They are strong on preventive care. My car is healthier thanks to Conrads good service.
I sustained a slow leak in a tire purchased at Conrad’s. Called day before to arrange drop off. Left the car for all day but they called me by noon to advise that tire was repaired under road hazard plan. Appreciate Conrad’s communication especially the technician’s video explanation. Excellent experience every time at 18th Euclid location.
Had to find a garage to take care of some issues on my sons car while he is in Cleveland at college...Conrads was AAA-approved and took care of the problems quickly and easily. Great communication! I LOVE the Tech View video they sent which clearly showed the work needed and recommended so that I could make informed decisions even when I couldnt get there to see the problems myself! thanks to Mike, Mike, Bruce, and Thad for taking good care!
I take my vehicle to Conrads regularly for oil changes and maintenance items. Their prices are reasonable and I have always received good service. I work downtown, so I usually drop my car off in the morning; their shuttle takes me to my office, which is a nice perk. I noticed another reviewer complaining that they try to sell unnecessary maintenance items, but this has not been my experience. They do always let me know what is on the maintenance schedule, but usually the tell me whats really essential and what can wait; I dont feel they are pressuring me, but rather keeping me informed about the manufacturers recommendations. I have also had tires replaced here and the cost was pretty comparable to what I have paid at NTB for the same type of tire.
The manager is as rude as can be. He is not willing to help someone who is in an emergency situation. Hes very sarcastic and he isnt honest about what it takes to get the job done. He turned me away at 10 minutes until close when I was in a helpless situation. Ive worked in the auto repair industry and I have never seen a manager act the way he does. Its really a bad representative of the company which I know is a pretty good company. I definitely will not spend a dollar there ever. Safeway tires is right around the corner and they have great customer service.
Had an emergency that needed taken care of quickly. The staff was super friendly, incredibly helpful, and my issues was fixed within hours for a good price. Im so incredibly thankful to have such a good place with good people close to home in whom Im able to have faith in the event something else happens to my car! Thanks a lot
Waited four full hours for a simple oil change. Was told by front desk worker it would take between 2 1/2- 3 hours. I saw that my car was done and waited in line to tell them it was done. No apology or even an acknowledgement for the ridiculous wait. My husband and I have taken our cars here for all our service needs since moving downtown...clearly we can’t if it’s going to take hours for simple appointments that include bad customer service.
So today Conrad’s went above and beyond, I had a slow leak in my tire I take my hubby to radiation daily. They got me right in let my hubby stay locked in the car fixed my tire with a nail in it. They didn’t charge me. I can’t say enough about the service and kindness they showed us today. With all my heat thank you. 😊😊😊
Made an appointment at 4pm for an oil change. Dropped my car off at 3:30 and was told it would be ready by 5:30. I arrived at 5:30 and my car was yet to be serviced. I was told to wait 30 minutes as they were “finishing up” although my car was not even in the garage yet. After waiting for 40 minutes, a technician approaches me and says he didn’t know I was waiting. I finally got my car a little bit before they closed...which was at 7pm. What’s the point of making an appointment? Why was there such a lack of communication between the front desk staff and the technicians? This was my first time there and probably my last.
Firstly, Conrad’s has welcomely helped me answering questions over the phone about problems with my vehicle. When I did take it in for maintenance, they did an inspection and found out the actual issue (which seems to be an increasingly expensive or skipped procedure with my other mechanics). Although I couldn’t afford the fix (a 20 year-old vehicle), they gave me solutions that would allow my truck to continue to run properly.
I have had several oil changes and various repairs done on my vehicle. On 5-7 I had new tires installed, an alignment, a rear light bulb, tire stem caps that had not been replaced when I purchased neq tires and rotors reworked. Mike told me that if i as having any problems to come back and they would check out the work they had done. I returned by the end of the month and told the gentleman at the desk that I needed an oil change and that I would like the work done on my previous visit rechecked as the car was not handling properly. He used the word shuddering and I agreed that was an appropriate term. I also needed an oil change. When Mike returned saying that my vehicle was done I asked him about the work that had previously been done. He told me that the brakes were fine and that my concerns re: the other work had not been brought to the mechanics attention. As I had been there for maybe two hours, this was a major disappointment. I explained to Mike what I wanted done and he replied that nothing had been noted in the write up. He did not charge for the oil change.I was later told by a friend that the rear light was still not working, I also noticed that the stem caps had not been replaced and one of the hup caps was barely attached. I returned once and was handed the stem caps , no one offered to put them on, and returned again to have the rear light bulb re-inserted.Giving this location two stars is being generous, I cannot in good faith recommend this location.
No wonder they are celebrating the 50th anniversary. This business (Mike in particular) is honest, professional, polite and skilled. The tire pressure light came up during my drive from West Virginia to Cleveland. Stopped at a tire shop off the turnpike but the light wouldn’t go off after the tires were inflated. Worried about possible puncture, I called Conrad’s and was able to get an appointment the next morning. They fixed the problem quickly and free of charge. Gives me such peace of mind that I cannot be more grateful. Thank you and warm wishes for another 50 years of excellence in business!
Mr. Thad has always been cooperative over the phone and in person. Mr. Dillon Reeves was very helpful at the desk. Even though he was new he was very professional and kind. I came at a time there was no one else to drive me home, so he offered to drive me!!!! Mr. Brett, the night transport driver came to pick me up and he was prompt and very nice as well. Keep selecting these great people to work for you!!
Had a slow leak and needed a new tire. This location was able to find my account from the Berea location and get my the best tire for my car. The road side insurance for tires is only 3 years. Wish I knew that earlier but either way I like Conrads for my tire and oil change needs.
Was considering going to have the bulb replacement on my 2012 Chevy Malibu. Im well aware the right bumper of the car has to be removed to replace lift bulb but for $300 dollars??? I think not the dealership is around $104 plus tax which is $124. I guy didnt really even check he just gave a ballpark figure he told me. I will never considered them for anything maybe that need investing as far as rapping customers over charging them
Always had a good experience, but this time all the trust I had is gone. Asked for tire rotation them after I came back I was told its done, but it was never done because I had one different tire in the passenger rear side and it never moved. I know mistakes happens but the problem is when the man at the front desk “Mike” was trying to prove me wrong in all ways instead of trying to solve the problem thats the big issue. After his multiple tries to prove me wrong the guy who worked on my car came out and said that he is sorry because somehow it was done wrong- not done basically. Never Again.
Great to get work done while I work downtown. Loved the video update showing my breaks while the wheel was off. Also loved that that my tire was able to be repaired at low cost, and no attempt to upsell or pressure me into having more work done while it was there. Will be back.
I had an appointment for 8 a.m. for an oil change and tire rotation. My service was not completed until 11:45 am. Absolutely unacceptable. There were a couple customers who came in and had their cars checks and were gone in less than a half an hour. The manager was kind enough to offer the service free of charge for my inconvenience.
Friendly reception for a Friday walk-in visit. Quick pickup end of day, car was clean and services complete: minor fixes to get ready for winter. Super convenient location to my office; east edge side of downtown, also quick walk to CSU. FREE air on the east side of the building, which was an excellent discovery!
Had my car towed to Chester Ave. Conrads due to hitting metal on Interstate 90. Three damaged tires. Received excellent service - had 4 new Goodyear tires installed within 2 hrs. of arriving. Special thanks to Service Advisor Thad Radwan for his attention and advice. Jim Longsworth
Because of a recent rash of car break-ins around the area of my place of employment, I found myself with smashed drivers and passenger side windows and a missing 12-year-old I-pod, probably valued at about 10 bucks nowadays. I was the first of 3 in line when the door was unlockedat 7am and was told that I would be getting a call soon with an estimate of what the repairs would be. Finally, at a little after 11am, I get a call from some yahoo by the name of MIKE something-or-the-other (Apparently there is more than one MIKE there, so my apologies to the other guy/guys), explaining about how extremely difficult it was to find the auto glass but, he found it, and that Conrads could install it for a mere $409 per side!! Had I been sipping coffee I would have spit it out! I immediately balked at the price and MIKE probably expecting it, went into this whole song-and-dance about how, because of the popularity of my vehicle he had a tremendously hard time finding the glass, and how many of his DISTRIBUTORS he had to call before finally finding it! I then told him that I was going to shop around for a better price and in another feeble attempt to keep me on the phone (A COLD SALE TACTIC..I used to sell life insurance!), Mike went on about how much trouble I was going to be having at shopping around and how rare the auto glass was and how I probably would not be able to find it, even if I went to a junk-yard! He reassured me once again that $818 was a GOOD DEAL and that maybe I should get my insurance company involved. I said no and told him that I would be coming to get my car after I got off work. He finally allowed me to hang-up but not without a final (OKAY, I TRIED TO TELL YOU TONE)! IN the words of JUDGE JUDY IS THERE A SIGN ON MY FOREHEAD THAT SAYS STUPID? So I immediately call a place that I wont mention here out of respect for the honorable people who work for Conrads, got a pleasant, knowledgeable and sympathetic young lady on the phone who assured me that if I got there before 2:30 pm, she could have my windows installed for $210..NOT per side mind you, that price was for BOTH sides. 1/4 of what MIKE was asking for!! So MIKE, what were you gonna do with the other $600 dollars...Some creative book-keeping? I shudder to think about what overcharges these guys charged the 2 women who were in line behind me but I get the feeling the MIKE would not have tried this unless he/they had gotten away with it before with me. As a result I give Conrads a HUGE thumbs-down, and will tell all of my friends to proceed with caution when needing more than new tires or an oil-change from these guys at this Downtown location. They are shady. Protect yourself by researching what the repairs you need should cost on average, and by not being afraid to say no, when your car is, in effect being held hostage. Beware! Signed...disrespected customer.P.S...After checking the status of this review, it has come to my attention that the 1-star rating that I originally posted with this review has MYSTERIOUSLY changed to 3.5 stars! Unbelievable!! Let me make it clear here...As far as I am concerned, these guys dont even deserve a POOR rating! I say again in as plain a language as I can...CONRADS DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND,OHIO LOCATION SUCKS! Not because of the work being done there, but because of the shady SALES PEOPLE!! MY rating is (0) stars!!
We were so pleased with Conrad’s. We had an accident while traveling to Cleveland Clinic and had to have our car towed. Triple A told us about Conrad’s and glad they did! Bruce kept us informed and helped us pinpoint whst HAD to be fixed for us to get back home. The video they sent us of the damage was so appreciated and helped us understand the damage that occurred. We would receive Contad’s without reservations of any sort!Bruce went out of his way to get us back on the road and the entire staff was curteous and helpful!
Conrads has Very Poor Service, I had an appointment for an Oil Change on My Cadillac ...I dont know what they done to My Car. But afterwards my car does not Start, the inside and outside lights doesnt work anymore ,My battery posts were loosened off my battery...and who knows what ever else is wrong my car now? For what reason? Is this how Conrads get their Customers to come back by Screwing up other Parts on Your Car when you go there for one pacific thing to be Fixed? This is Terrible Business!! This was on Yesterday April 1st ....And Trust Me Ill never do business with Conrads Ever Again and Ill be sure to let Everyone I know to Never do Business with Conrads....Because they have Less than Poor Service for Your Car!!! 👎👎👎
Got my oil changed at Conrads at downtown Cleveland on Chester Ave. and the next day my check oil light was on. Then I checked my oil and it was nearly 2 quarts low (I mean there was barely any oil at the bottom point of the dip stick). This terrible error could have ruined my engine unbelievable. I called Conrads and the first tech yelled at me like I was stupid and didnt know how to read a dip stick, then the second tech asked me to bring my car in so he could check my oil. I brought my car back and the tech added oil and tried to tell me it was only a little low and apologised. I also got a dent in my drivers side door and I confronted the tech and his reply was I dont know how that could have got there. So humiliating. BUYER BEWARE CONRADS IS A SCAM
Went in due to constant low tire pressure gauge alert on car. I saw a metal chunk in passenger rear tire and possible bent rim on passenger front tire (thanks Cleveland construction). Phil looked at my car and asked me questions before completely checking out the car. I felt this adequately helped him distinguish a tire issue versus a bad tire sensor issue. The metal chunk was the culprit and it being so close to the sidewall, he couldnt patch it. I knew this might be the case since I have some knowledge about cars. He replaced it with the most similar tire he had and was familiar with my cars tires, the Eagle GT series. All was completed in just over an hour without an appointment. Overall good service!Front desk staff was somewhat friendly. No one tried to sell additional services to me.
Stopped in Cleveland on my way home from Chicago. The valet at my hotel called late to let me know I had a flat. Called Conrad’s and Brandon Dickey told me to bring it in. The bays were packed with cars when I arrived at 8:30 but I told him I had to be on the road by 11:00 to keep my tight schedule, and I was out of there at 10:02 with my tire repaired! They saved me a huge headache and I am very thankful! Thank you Brandon and Conrad’s!
Best customer service in town from Thad and another gentleman who I wish I could remember his name!I had a blowout from a pothole last night. Called them up spoke with Thad, and asked if there was anyway they could fix the tire at some point today. He said no problem. Dropped it off this morning around 8:45a. Thad was there. Called me back in a timely fashion to discuss the situation with the tire. Was very transparent and communicative. Was even able to add an oil change on at my request. Had the car done around 430p. I ended up staying at work late, but picked it up just before they closed at 7p. I was checking out another great employee when another customer came in and spoke with Thad seeming to find reasons to complain about anything. Heard him telling Thad he would call corporate because Conrad’s didn’t offer some crappy “buy 3 tires, get 1 free!” special the other crappy tire places offer. I know Thad had probably been there since 8:45am, but he still acted incredibly professional, communicative, and understanding with the customer as if he was just starting the day. I’ve always had a consistantly good experience at this Conrad’s location. After seeing how great the guys dealt with an uncomfortible situation, I have no doubt found the location I will forever recommend and forever come back to for any issues my cars have. Thank you very much.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠Super friendly helpful knowledgeable staff lends itself to a great shopping and learning experience at Conrads.Staff is willing to walk you through projects and plans for your remodeling and building desires. Lots of materials and tools to get the job completed❤
Very bad experience. They blame me for not knowing what is wrong with my car, they continuously raised the price on me for the same repair, and an employee opened their van door and dinged my moms car. Cant get much worse. I saved $400by going to Allstar muffler. Screw Conrads. Rude and expensive.
I took my family van in for an oil change and tire rotation to the Conrads downtown Cleveland location. When they were done they told me they couldnt do the tire rotation because they couldnt get 1 of the nuts off and it could break off, so they left it how it was. They also told me my tires were bad but couldnt give me a quote because the tires are special and they are not certified to handle the type of tires that were on my 2007 Honda odyssey. Then today I noticed a little shaking while driving and it wasnt like that before I took it in yesterday. I pulled over to check the tires and the front left tire was loose. 1 of the nuts were half way out so i call the supervisor and he told me to bring it back. After they checked it the supervisor told me the 1 nut was stripped out and there was nothing they could do. This van drove like new before I took it there yesterday and all the nuts were tight and all the way in. I tried to explain that to the supervisor and he told me it was already like that and blew me off. He said tire rotations are free and the mechanic gets paid to do them witch had nothing to do with the situation at hand. I remembered when I got home that 3 years ago I took a different van I owned at the time to a conrads for inspection and had them replace a tire because my kids and I were taking a trip to Florida and wanted to be sure the van was safe. We left that night and on our way down to Florida the van started to shake about 30 minutes into the drive so I pulled over and all of the lug nuts where loose and the tire and rim that was replaced was close to coming off. I had to pull all of our stuff out that we had packed up out of the van to jack it up and tighten all the nuts in the middle of the night. This makes 2 bad experiences at conrads within the past 3 years. If you choose to have work done at any tire repair shop please double check to make sure the work is complete so you, your family and others are safe on the roads.
I needed a pair of new tires after puncturing one. I looked up my options on the Conrad’s website prior to calling them back. It brothered me that on the phone they omitted the affordable tire options. I had to speak up.. “oh yeah we have those too”. It also was odd when it was recommended I replace my ONE MONTH old rainX wiper blades. Upsell, upsell, upsell.
I came here at 6:50pm after taking my daughters car to firestone to get 4 NEW TIRES. I pulled up at Firestone at 6:30pm...the sign and the website states they close at 7. The gentleman ran to the door and locked the door...then proceeded to lower the garage doors at Firestone. I tried calling and received no answer. I wasted 15 -20 minutes trying to get service. I called Conrads very distraught because the condition of my baby car was not safe to drive. Michael explained that by the time I would make it downtown they would possibly be closing. I explained what happened at firestone and what was happening with the car. He welcomed me...HIS CREW TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF MY BABYS TRUCK AND I CAN BREATHE AGAIN. I DONT EVEN CARE HOW MUCH IT COST FOR THE TIRES....THE SERVICE WAS PRICELESS!!!
I had to drive into Cleveland from Pittsburgh. My front tires were like racing slicks, bad news. I stopped at Conrad’s and spoke with Thad. He had me out the door with 2 brand new tires within an hour, no appointment. They saw that I was in a hurry and they just did the right thing. I wish more businesses took a look at Conrad’s and just did the right thing. They are a model of excellence.
Conrads attempted to overcharge and mislead me. I took my vehicle there because of a burning smell from the left rear tire. Conrads informed me that this was due to my caliper seizing and burning the rotor--for $860.00 they would replace and repair the calipers and rotors. When I declined service, the mechanic became angry and very rudely informed that this was an urgent problem that needed repaired immediately. He became more agitated and complained that I took up an hour of his time and then declined service. I was shocked by his sudden change in attitude, but the real shock was yet to come. I took my vehicle elsewhere, where it was discovered that the burning smell was a result of a broken axle seal--a $200 fix. So much for the urgent problem. In reality, my breaks are in fine condition and will not need replaced for another six months. Thanks for nothing, Conrads. I would have refrained from writing this review, but after being mistreated, lied to, and patronized by your service technician, I feel it is a necessary debt to inform the public of your atrocious business practices.
I have a fair amount of experience with Conrads Cons. It is one of the closest auto repair shop to most people living in the downtown Cleveland. I have been there for minor services like Oil Changes etc. and always used my own supplies instead of using their cheap stuff. They resisted allowing me to bring my own supplies every time I went there. Even for minor tasks, the wait time is hours into the afternoon, even if you show up 7am in the morning. The attendants are there to get you into spending some $$$ as soon as you go there and say the magic word problem, without any regards to delivering value to the customer by just fixing what the problem really is, in a reasonable amount of time and charging customers a reasonable amount of money. They are rude, and are unaware of any concepts related to customer service. I went there for a check light problem, which was a problem with the cars emission control system. I had just 2 days to get my tags renewed and needed ECheck. The car wouldnt have passed the ECheck because the problem in question was related to the cars emission control system. They quoted me $104 for a diagnostics but later charged $122 on my card. The repairs worth $600 + $800 were suggested to me which included some $100 dollar shop fee, on top of labor charges, parts, and taxes, and gave me a receipt with the error codes, along with their own internal shop part numbers for the components. I asked for the OEM part numbers but they said they dont have them. Also, I was advised that the Bank 1 Sensor 1 needs to be replaced costing $300, please note: Bank 1 Sensor 1.I did not choose to do the repairs there, and instead took it to MIDAS. At the same time I checked for the parts on AutoZone and found that the Cons were charging me more than 3x the price of the same brand name components (Bosch brand, $70 at Autozone vs $300). The workers at MIDAS were much nicer than these guys and quoted $69 for the Diagnostics, which is used towards the repairs should I choose to do the repairs. Also, the repair cost for the components quoted was much lesser than the Cons. But I took it to another auto repair shop and got it all fixed for a total of $250. Now heres the thing, it was not Bank 1 Sensor 1 (upstream) which needed to be replaced and as advised by the Cons. It turned out to be Bank 1 Sensor 2 (the downstream O2 sensor) for the corresponding ECU error code which the Cons misdiagnosed and misinformed me even after charging $122. If I paid such a hefty price for a diagnostics, atleast I deserve Complete and Accurate information on my receipt. After the repairs, the check light disappeared and the car passed the ECheck the following day, which was the final day when I could renew my tags. Had I relied on the Cons, I would have been duped with hundreds of dollars and the car still would have certainly failed the Echeck. This business and the people working there dont have any integrity, and anyone walking in through that door is just another prey which they can get some $$$ out. Im a blogger, and I am shortly going to write about it in detail on a dedicated page along with scans of the receipts, so more people can be informed about this business and hence saved from being conned by the infamous downtown Cons.
Good blessed evening, my name is Alvin Randolph. While traveling from Boston to Kansas my son and I experienced car trouble. We were towed to your establishment at 1715 Chester Avenue. Id like to express my gratitude to the entire staff for their commitment to customer service. Mr. Thad Radwan went Above and Beyond to help out. As Mr. Brenton and Mike did as well. It would do my heart well if this entire staff were recognized for their efforts during a worrisome time. May our LORD and Savior continue to bless you all. Thank You.
Staff isn’t friendly. The guy barely wanted to greet me then when he called to tell me my car was ready he didn’t even explain what went wrong just told me the price. I had to keep asking questions to get a clear answer as to what went wrong and when I asked if there was a nail in my tire he literally threw the piece of paper that they taped the nail that was in my tire at me. Wow. Very rude service sorry for making you do your job!
Conrads at 1715 Chester Ave, diagnosed the issue in my front drivers side tire. The car was making a thumping sound as though it had a flat tire. The staff was honest and told me, that the noise was caused by a small screw in the front drivers side tire. They repaired the tire for an affordable price, and suggested a wheel alignment and tire rotation. I agreed to have all the work done, and the vehicle runs supurb now.
Hello, well had another great experience from the Cleveland downtown location. The frist team person I came in contact was Mark he checked me in for my appointment then I ran into both Mikes and Thad,Bruce,Jeremy,Dhanrajalso Gary and a new member to the team Jestin who seem to already have great public relations skills. Well the tech Jeremy did a super job on my vehicle its an 2001 and he had it running like an 2018.My hat off to this entire team they are together with their team work SUPER HEROES.P.S Jeremy the tech whom worked on my vehicle went out of wal during my wait and gave me one of his personal oatmeal packs now if that is not a family gesture I will be dam. And thats one of the many reasons I feel like family at this location.THANKS AGAIN AND AGAINONE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS TO THE VERY ENDA.K.A SUPER MAN
I’m glad I read these reviews and made judgement before I went up there. I called for a Transmission service and the guy told me that my car doesn’t have a tranny filter when I’ve replaced the filter twice. He then went on to say he really didn’t know and he was just speculating. Lol. Those are not the type of people I want working on my car, Speculators. After I explained to him the brief process and materials involved he then frustratingly said he’ll call me back with a price. Way to make money CONRADS! I’m beginning to think Cleveland is just a dust trap of nonchalant lazy workers who expect more from the customers who already paid for the services requested. This happens to often.
I was going to give a lower score because the initial customer care was horrible! the actual service was in the just above average range. the front desk was condescending and mean. I had pirchased the tired there, I work very near by. so I thought rbis would be a good idea. questionable.
Mechanic/technician left the door on the drivers side very dirty; oily fingerprints, and they didnt put paper mats down on the front floor. after someone told the mechanic, he came and didnt clean my door good at all. I had to go behind him and clean my door. Unacceptable!
Dropped my car off and when I came to pick it up the head rests were sprung (indicatung some sort of rear end collision. I didnt see other damage but that was more than enough. The mechanic pulled the car around leaving his grease stains on the door handle and steering wheel.
Engine check light was not reset. Tire jack compartment was left open, the compartment cover removed and tire wrench and jack lever left out on the floor of the cargo area. Such inattention to details, to the little things, may reflect a greater lack of attention to other issues.
Service was OK, but they seem to really push additional items that are not necessary. Have you ever heard of flushing your steering fluid? Also, suggested changing the inside air filter because it was dirty. Seeing that it takes 20 minutes to get to the air filter, I dont know how they determined it was dirty. Watch the oil level when you have your oil changed, they overfilled mine.
Brandon was so helpful today at the Conrads downtown Cleveland when I tell you he went out his way to not just sell me four brand new tires but to let me know what I needed what I did and he was so helpful in every way make me feel so comfortable I definitely will come back here and get any work done to my car thanks Conrad you have a great employee Brandon Dickey Thanks 😊😊😊😊😊
Told Me My Inner & Outer Tire Rods Were Broken And Control Arm... But In Reality It Was My Control Arm And Strut. Refused To Put My Car In The Air For An Inspection Claiming It Would Fall Apart... I Have A 2012 Nissan Sentra ... 😒... Dwayne Thomas At 8101 Broadway ... Fixed It In No Time And Figured Out The Real Problem
I stopped in because my car kept telling me my tire air pressure was low. I didn’t know what the pressure is supposed to be. Not only did they help me put the right amount of air in my tires but they also educated me on how to find the information and do it myself in the future. And it was free! Thank you!
Gave my car for oil.service....they said my car hood is not opening cant do service without getting it fixed .they quoted me cost of 400$ ...for latch cable and latch...which is just...$ 30 and 40 $ ..took my car from them...and showed to at local garage...he said wire was moved from its original position it works fine..fixed it in 5 min and he didnt even charge me...every time i give my car for service they just coat me with all unnecessary things....this place is just good of oil change and repairs i would advise to get it done somewhere else instead of replacing small part they would replace everything and charge u more...they dont even recognize the problem properly.. and suggesting unnecessary things..

2022-04-22Cant say enough about this location- these guys do great work and provide great customer service. Brought my car in for unusual brake noise and I ended up needing front brakes. Still noticed slight noise afterwards, so brought it back in and they took it on a test drive with me and checked it again, including the rear brakes which they hadnt worked on, and took care of it no problem - car now runs like new. I also ended up using the shuttle where they picked me up no problem, even when it was close to closing time - great driver. Thanks again to these guys for great work and great customer service.Craig Potts

2022-04-05The Chester Avenue location downtown is phenomenal. They handle every situation with specific intention and give strong, practical recommendations on how to help with issues. Special shout out to John for helping me through an issue with my tires!I would highly recommend this location.

2022-03-29Got a flat tire 0.3 miles away. Called and spoke with Mike. He said he would need time but could get it done that day. I stated If he could not then I would just have it towed closer to home instead of having AAA just put air in it to drive to conrads. But he said he could. I get it there and he changes his whole story and said it might be tomorrow because he has so many customers and tires upstairs (yeah weird). He wouldnt commit to anything about today or tomorrow now. What a waste of time going there. So if you speak with Mike dont believe anything. I did get it towed to my local guy and he patched it that night.

2021-09-08Overall great experience at this location. I was a little hesitant to go at first since I had several poor experiences with large chain mechanics. I had a leak in my tire (turned out I had run over a nail I couldnt see). Initially I wanted to go to a bmw dealership for the repair but appointments were two weeks out. I called this location first thing in the morning to see if they could fit me in. I was able to drop my car off before work and pick it up at the end of day, same day. VERY convenient if you live or work downtown, which I do. I did walk to and from the location, which I was comfortable with since I live nearby. Probably would not recommend for most. They appeared to have a shuttle service though, I just didnt inquire.Every employee I interacted with was very polite and helpful. I ended up paying a little under $100 for the run flat tire repair, which I was more than okay with considering how much i would have paid at the dealer and how convenient this location was for me. I also very much appreciated that they did not try to upsell me or talk me into getting work done that I didnt ask for or need.Definitely would recommend if you need a basic fix on your car, especially downtown!

2021-09-27While visiting in town for the Bears/Browns game, I scored a flat tire on Sunday evening. After changing the tire, I needed the get the flat fixed before driving 5 hours back to Chicago Monday AM.So I googled tire repairs shops near me and found this location near our hotel. I made the appointment for 8am and after an hour and 20 minutes later, the tire was repaired. What I really enjoyed was the video provided they provided showing what was wrong the tire. I mentioned to the manager that video provided transparency about the issue being serviced. If I lived closer, I would definitely come back for repair work. I also noticed on the side of the building they have an air hose for free air. Nice. However, I feel bad as they are understaffed as you can see by the amount of cars being serviced the number of people waiting in their lobby.

2021-06-16I had my first visit there earlier this year to replace some tires. At the start everything was pleasant and professional. However it took them 5-6 hours to replace just 1 tire. In the meantime most of the talk was about the upsell. I was getting the feeling that customers that went with the upsell and were spending more were treated better?Anyway after 5-6 hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars spent on new tires, they gave me my key and I paid right before they closed. Because of that I didnt have much time to talk to them about the work they had done...or to inspect the work they had done. And boy I paid a little bit of the price. One completely new tire would constantly sink in psi and be in the low 20s no matter how much air I put in. Umm gas prices are rising, every little bit counts. In contrast, a new tire I got put in by walmart (their cheapest) never had any of these issues.I went to another shop to get it inspected, and they found the culprit, valve stem issue in the new tire. So a brand new tire that took 5 hours to put in....was improperly installed. Meanwhile I went to walmart for another tire to do, and in less than 1 hour they put in a brand new tire that was close to 50$ cheaper and it never had issues this Conrads tire did.I would say to others, do your research before you go to a shop. If you go to a shop, inspect the work that they do and dont let them give you the run around. Make sure they treat you right. And if there are signs of incompetence and unprofessionalism then let future customers know as well. I wont be back (just like how I didnt feel comfortable going back for them to look at the tire they had improperly installed). I hope they develop more professionalism and care for their customers (new or old) in the future. Or at the very least if your vocation is putting in tires...at the very least make sure you can put in ONE tire correctly after FIVE hours. Everyone drive safe out there!

2020-10-13I would never go back to Conrads. I told them a day in advance about what time I would need a shuttle ride. It took them over 2 hrs to pick me up. I dont trust the mechanics, a number of them are young & inexperienced. When I went to pick up my car, it wouldnt start. They think they left the keys in it overnight which caused the battery to die. They jumped it & it started ok. They tested the battery & said it was good & that it should last another year. I arrived home ok but the next time I went to drive the car, the battery was completely dead. They killed my battery. And they charged me $100 more than what my repair should have cost. Also, they got the interior of the car dirty with grease stains.
