I had set up an appointment for 2 pm and at 5pm when Conrad’s was closing, they finally started working on my car. The customer before me was given a free oil change, and I was given an apology. I think it would have good to be kept apprised of the delay. The customer service was not good, but then again, when I read other reviews, it is common. Wonder why the corporate offices don’t intervene and provide training on customer service. Maybe they should attend some Disney classes on customer service. Thank you for letting me provide feedback.
The level of service from Conrads isnt what it use to be. Not happy to fact that they did not use a seat cover when they pulled my vehicle in the bay for service. I had to say something to a manager for the tech to use a seat cover when in my vehicle. Not using one shows me a level of disrespect to my property that I have worked hard for to have. It is like they dont care if they get grease, sweat, or grime on your seat. Also, when being checked out, I asked the manager if they had lubricated the door hinges, i was told that his master technician performed the service and it was done. Needless to say, not one hinge was lubricated like the paper work says it was and the manger at the counter had said. Makes you wonder what else they have half-a**ed or things they dont do that they said they have done. I paid for a service, it would be nice if they did what I have paid for.
Had a flat tire on the granddaughter’s car. She drove it till it was ruined. They looked up her-name saw it was still under warranty. Quoted me a price after deducting the pro rated tire price. Love that total car care package. Also had a spike in the rear tire which was fixed for free. Because it was covered under the car care package. They really treated the granddaughter awesome with how they were going to do the work and what it would cost. And with the tire being pro rated under there warranty it was half the cost. Awesome place to do business with.
Great service EVERY TIME!!! Came in a busy Saturday morning.....had a flat tire. Told me they were busy but they would fit me in if they could. Had my wife pick me up and went to breakfast.....not done with breakfast and they called to tell me it was done. WOW!!!! I have bought tires there for all our cars and always had a great experience as well as vehicle service and fair pricing. Did I mention NO CHARGE for the flat repair and balancing because I bought the tires there. Great job guys keep it up.
Work was completed as agreed upon. Front desk employee was friendly, and professional. Price was comparable to other auto service shops. I am from out of state but would not hesitate returning for service if needed. By the way, you were highly recommended by friends who live here and have used your place of business many years.
Had our Acadia in for an oil change and tire rotation. During there assessment with video they found a number of issues that would need repairs in the very near future. This made us make a decision to trade it in an buy another vehicle that same week. Thanks to you and your video (which we thought was wonderful) we made a great deal on another Acadia.
I dont know about all Conrads locations, but I have been taking my vehicles to the Conrads location in Avon Lake, OH for years, and I have been extremely satisfied with both the service and quality of workmanship done at this location. I would recommend them to anybody who is looking for a good, reputable auto repair shop.
This is the second time I took my fleet vehicle here and the very last. The first time they said 1 hour for simple oil change, tire rotation and air filter; an hour and half later no air filter and I had to get back to work.The second time was today; I asked the guy on the phone to please insure me that this would take an hour -- he said of course not a problem at all sir. Dropped the car off, walked next door to grab lunch, walked back an hour later, my car did not even move from where I parked it. These guys had my phone number and didnt have the courtesy to call me and let me know, instead left me hanging now to find another place to waste my lunch hour. Horrible customer service, just awful.
Had an oil change today, and they did a good job. The issue I have is that Conrads seems to be just like so many companies that nickel and dime you to death. What I mean is that the oil change is a certain price, then they tack on $4 for shop supplies. What a bunch of baloney. That is like saying that the oil change is $30, but that doesnt include the oil. Why dont they just charge the price the oil change costs, and not have to make extra profit by tacking on extra charges.You wonder why people dont trust these companies sometimes, whell that is one of the answers.
I had a very disappointing experience as a first time customer. Last Saturday, 10/21 I had 4 new tires put on my 2011 Kia Soul. Yesterday, Monday 10/23 I was leaving work and was shocked to see I had a flat tire. When I called Conrads to see what I should do to get it fixed I was understandably very upset and the man I spoke to on the phone was rude and nonchalant about the problem. He told me I would need to call the tow service and it was better to pay for a tow than a new tire. My dad ended up putting my spare on so i could drive there myself. There were no nails or other damage to the tire and I was not even given an apology for the inconvenience. The kicker was when I was told that my tpms sensor was broken and with my tire warranty it would be $78 to replace. The stem that they were going to give me was rubber when I have aluminum stems. I would have been back needing my other 3 replaced if I had had the work done at Conrads. They almost cost me an extra $312 when I just paid for new tires. I took my car across the street to Monroes and had the work done for $68 for something Conrads likely broke in the first place. I cannot believe that this business is still open with the poor workmanship, rude customer service and dishonest practices that I experienced. I would like Conrads to make this situation right, but if no attept is made I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and also telling everyone I know to go elsewhere for their auto services.
Great service as always, leading customer service and care of your vehicle, being able to explain your vehicle problems and walk you through their situation, never over charge for any labor. You would find it difficult to find another company in any setting to be better.We just moved back to the area, and a lot of the goodyear stores in the MD area were absolutely a waste of your time. I even drove back last year to Ohio to have conrads fix the heating issue. I am so glad to be home and enjoy this service once again.Keep going guys, and congratulations on 50 years. We have taken our cars to Conrads for years and they always do good work and we rarely had to bring one back because of an issue . They get 5 stars for that. That being said When I can, I do my own work on our cars and I know the prices on pretty much every part.Went in Tuesday to get my tires rotated I bought from them in late March. they are asymmetrical tires and can only be rotated front to back. Unfortunately I discovered that they only rotated the one side. Because both front wheels had heavy brake dust, so only the left wheel went to the back and was the dirty wheel. The right front wheel still had heavy brake dust so it didn’t even get rotated to right back. I did call them and took the car back today and they fixed it but wasn’t thrilled. For company known for tires kind of disappointing.
They make things very convenient for me. I drop my car off and pick it up after work. Always friendly and not pushy for you to fix car there. Always send me a video which I like to see. I live in Elyria and work in Avon always make sure I get the oil changes done there.
Recently, I needed a new tire for our RAV4 and went to Conrads in Avon Lake. Soon after the new tire was installed a warning light came on, requiring a trip to the Toyota dealer. They said the warning light came on because the wrong size tire was installed! So, another trip to Conrads to install the correct size tire.Yesterday my wife had a 4:00 appointment to get the tires rotated on our other vehicle. They made her wait until 5:00 for the rotation. During her drive home the tire pressure light came on, requiring another trip to Conrads. It turned our that all four tires were a couple pounds below the recommended level.
It was okay. They appear to have done the oil change. But then, the guy comes out with a big list of fluid changes they wanted to do for, get this, $464 and change. I mean come on, if I wanted to get bugged about that, I would take it to a dealer. The Avon Lake store was convenient and the Amherst store was booked up but next time, back to Amherst.
Whats the point of taking appointments if someone has to wait over an hour just to get their car in the service bay?Had a confirmed appointment at noon.An hour and ten minutes later my car was still out in the parking lot.Very disappointed that Conrads does not value my time or effort. Even doctors offices have begun to understand this. The Cleveland Clnic has a policy now in place not to make patients wait more then 15 minutes after checking in for their appointment.Maybe Conrads can take a lesson from them and make the service experience more memorable and efficient.But for now, Ill find a provider who can actually fit me in.
I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 1 I showed up a little early about 1245. They took my car back immediately I asked the cashier, shouldnt take too long should it? He said 45 min- an hour. It took an hour and 20 minutes before they came out to give me a summary of the work done. Told me that I needed a wheel alignment, I told that I couldnt do it today because I have an appointment happening right now. He said okay well get you all finished up. He goes into the work area to tell the mechanic that Im passing on the wheel alignment, and then in a different voice as if to mock me. He has an appointment happening right now. As someone that works with customers on a daily basis I would never mock a customer. And I will never go back here and tell everyone I know of the way I was treated.
I must say that Conrads stands by its commitment to customer satisfaction! I recently ran over a pothole and it punctured my tires sidewall. Conrads replace the tire at minimum cost to me, which was a very great relief. I have been and will always be a devoted customer.
Always frustrating when your car is in the shop. I choose Conrads because they will have a conversation with you about the services your car needs and the videos they show give support to their recommendations. Just picked my car up from cylinder misfires. They diagnosed it, solved the problem, and showed me why. Will keep coming back here.
Sure i can leave a review. i paid 107 dollars for a system evaluation...it was not complete for the issue i came in for. I even discussed a thermostat was the issue. The vehicle was not reviewed to see if there was proper heat. Not even a gauge test was done to verify proper heat. I had to guage it myself and make a determination there were issues, so back to Conrads for more work and the thermostat. Do i get my 107 dollars back? Huuummm?
The technicians were able to quickly get to the root cause of the power steering fluid leakage. The pump had gone bad. The cost of the labor to replace the pump and the pump were in line with what I saw on the internet. I was confident that I had paid a fair price overall. I am pleased with the results. RLRODMAN
I had a 4:00 appointment for 4 tires.I talked with Spencer from Avon lake Conrads. He apologized for nobody telling me that they were running late. They were short handed but now at full staff.He said he would send me a certificate for a free oil change. I accepted and I think that was fair of them and I will go backthere for service.
Brian was very helpful as I explained to him our very dire situation. He then told me of a program that helps out with reduced payments for having a full diagnostic done at a discounted price, which is something we could very much benefit from. We will continue to go no where else other than Conrads for any future car care needs. Thank you again very much for your help, in every sense of the word.
I had an appointment at 1 for an oil change (a procedure that, in my experience, typically takes about an hour). I left and came back at 4:30 to pick my car up and was told it was not ready. The attendant at the desk did not seem to care that my car should have been ready 2.5 hours earlier. He said if I wanted to wait 30 minutes they would take my car right back. I sat there for 30 minutes and noticed at that point that my car had not even been moved out of the parking lot for service. Needless to say I will not be returning.
Never again will I come back here. I had an appointment at 4, I show up 15 min. early and it takes them 30 min. to even bring the vehicle in. Thats ridiculous. Then when I get the vehicle back they repaired the passenger tires and left greasy hand print all over the rims.

2022-07-13When I left here this morning, I was unhappy as I did not like the original estimate on the car. I needed welding done which is much cheaper somewhere else instead of ordering new parts. Conrad’s called me back and made sure they could do all they could to leave me satisfied. They showed great customer service and gave me a refund on my service fee! I’m very appreciative. Thank you!

2022-03-03I stopped in to use the FREE air pressure pump. It has been working every time Ive stopped to use it ( unlike most of the others in the Sheffield, Sheffield Lake, Avon, Avon Lake area) and the best part is its free! Not $2 to put a little air in a low tire. I applaud Conrads for offering this service. The best part is its available even when Conrads is closed. Discount Tire offers free air pressure checks ( which they perform) but thats only available during their regular business hours- nice in bad weather, but if your tires low at 9 on a Friday evening, Conrads is always available.

2021-08-25The service manager went above and beyond to get the parts needed to fix the ac on my Buick Lucerne before we needed to drive the car to NC.The diagnosis was detailed and accurate. I especially appreciated the service managers recommendations and honesty.

2020-07-30Called for an appointment. Josh answered. Didn’t ask what I needed just assumed it was an oil change. I told him there was vibration when I drove but they could do the oil change anyway since it was due. When I came for my appointment at 10am, Eli was there. I explained again the issues I was having. I told him I needed to pick it up by 3pm, so my company could call in with a credit card (it’s a company vehicle and the office staff leave after 3pm). 2:30pm comes and no one has called. I call them and they tell me they’re not sure, possibly an alignment issue, and they’ll get back to me. They finally call back and said it is alignment and tires, and I would have to come back for the tires. It should only take an hour and a half and I could just wait for it. I said told them that’s fine and just paid for the oil change. I get in and see the tire pressure is still low on the back tire, so I know they didn’t complete the inspection. I bring it back Wednesday and let them know. They said they would check. 2 and a half hours go by, they finally finish. I get back in my vehicle and the back tires are still low.To sum it up, late on both days even with appointments, and the job wasn’t completely done. There’s free air outside, but how are you going to charge my as part of inspection you didn’t complete? Why make an appointment if you’re going to wait to the last minute anyway? I won’t be going back. The staff was friendly at least, so two stars instead of one

2020-07-06Ive gone here for oil change before they did a great job and Ive also had done business with them and with their service department and its been pretty good also thank you very much for free air for my tires Please dont ever change that because you never know when somebodys driving around and needs air in their tires and doesnt have a quarter or 50 cents or whatever to pay for the air that most gas stations charge Conrads offers free air Thank you Conrads.*If you like my reviews please give me a thumbs up and thank you

2020-03-21Went there for an oil change, asked about the condition of my brakes, and asked about a warning light that was coming on. They not only did the oil change, check the brakes(which were good to go) but they were also able to diagnose and determine the issue with the warning light. They also made suggestions for future repairs that may need to be re-evaluates in the next 6-12 months. I love how they did not pressure me or make me feel that the repairs were life and death. They were honest and explained everything really well.

2019-09-28I chose Conrads for my new tires because of the wonderful service they provided before I was a customer. On two occasions the low tire pressure light had come on in my vehicle so I stopped there to use their FREE air supply unit. On both occasions a gentleman that worked there came out to help me. I knew after the second time Id be going there to replace my tires when I was due in the months ahead. If they gave such kind customer care to a non-customer they more than deserved my business which I appreciatively gave them. I look forward to being a long time customer.

2018-10-24Conrads Tire Express & Total Car Care, is one of the best companies I have had service my vehicles to date. Very knowledgable staff and completed the work quickly and they were very friendly. Great customer service! I didnt have to worry about hidden or non existent repairs. When mentioned that I might need an alignment after they installed new tires, they found that it wasnt needed. Many companies would still charge for the alignment just for putting the vehicle up on the alignment rack. I trust Conrads for all my vehicle needs, as should you!

2020-01-22Josh at Conrad’s in Avon Lake was up front on every aspect of the repair. Firstly, he called to inform us that the car may be under the manufacturer’s powertrain warranty. After discovering we were not eligible for the warranty, we authorized Conrad’s to perform the service. They got it done quickly, correctly, and for less cost than they originally quoted (which was less than the dealer’s estimate).Overall, great job!
