So, I do business at storage facilities all over the country and the guy named Tray is one of the most friendliness, hardworking, most accommodating, customer oriented, outgoing people I have ever met, and I can honestly say that my perception of this storage facility is extremely high after meeting and doing business with him.

Renter beware. 1. Your rent will be increased dramatically repeatedly with one month warning. I first rented in January of 2020. I have already seen two rent increases. My initial monthly rent was $117.72. My current monthly rent, eighteen months later, is $143.62. That is an outrageous 22% increase in just over a year! Clearly, they understand that once you are in, there is a burden to you changing storage vendors. 2. They have a company policy against pro-rating rents that they do not disclose when you rent. Accordingly, if you remain one day over the end of the current month, they will not pro-rate your rent for the next month. 3. They advertise the units as climate controlled. There is absolutely no air conditioning in the building. Accordingly, in the summer, the units bake like ovens. There is minimal heating in the winter. While the units do not freeze, the temperatures can get quite cold.

Trè was awesome he had me in and out in like 6-7 minutes rental was made way easier than any other company I have ever used (Uhaul) before to move with! He was nice efficient professional and courteous and knowledgeable as well. The other gentelmen Lauren and mike were there when I returned and were courteous and responsive as well! I will never use any other company again!

Four years ago I was looking for storage unit space downtown with easy access to store equipment for my small business. I went into Compass and Lauren was able to set me up with a perfect spot on the first floor, close to the loading dock. I’ve been very happy with my experience and am continuing to store there. Every time I walk into the office, Lauren remembers me and is super helpful. The staff definitely cares about the customer and keeps the space clean. I highly recommend Compass!

I have lived in a lot of places my life and have had to use several storage facilities. I have never come across a facility as clean and ran as well as the Compass Self Storage facility on Superior in Cleveland Ohio.I know that storage is limited for downtown residents, I highly recommend that you get a unit, that is price super well by the way, at Compass.I even like to store my bikes there and not have to leave them in some awkward place in my apartment but still be close enough to grab them at any time.I have to say this is the best run best facility I have ever had space in. And the prices are great
Overall my experience with compass has been good there was a rate increase that I really didnt feel was warranted but I downsized my storage unit and got credit for the amount previously paid

Moving can be stressful but I felt so at ease after my phone conversation with Lauren Hurst, He really took the time to make me feel as if I was an important customer. He explained that they were a one stop shop by providing moving supplies, rental trucks and even movers to assist me. Our tour was exactly the same he made us feel so comfortable by showing us several storage units and discussing the pros and cons of each. The storage was very clean and the pricing was reasonable. The area manager at the downtown location is a retired police officer who cares about the customers. If hes able to, he will look for all kinds of ways to help the customers out. The facility is also very clean and all the new general managers being trained there are very respectible people.

I recently moved out of my house into an apartment. The apartment being much smaller, so I needed a storage unit. I decided to walk in to compass and a lady named Regina greeted me warmly and asked how she could help. I let her know my situation. She guided me in choosing the correct sized unit, and not only that she helped me choose the right size truck for my moving needs. She overall was amazing! I will be referring friends and family to compass due to my great experience!!!

Compass is the best rental storage facility in downtown Cleveland with convenient hours, cameras and secure locker units. Despite isolated reviews of activities the staff is helpful and friendly.Unfortunately when their are nice facilities people with personal issues will stretch rules or even abuse them, but overall Compass is the best your money can get. People use their lockers to fit their needs which are not always traditional. People are generally experiencing all sorts of relocation issues when they use storage facilities like homelessness, divorce, layoffs, domestic violence and they do what they have to do in the moment. No one is living or cooking or smoking or anything like that at Compass. It has cameras and the staff checks the units and hallways daily. Plus the security features have motion lights and coded elevators and door entrances that are on timers. The woman who gave a poor review was not fair or considerate and had a loud vulgar do domestic altercation herself in the halls. We overheard it and thought we were going to have to call police to keep her safe from her friend arguing over their unit etc... She probably just wants a refund. 😆. It is also fairly priced because other local facilities close early and are inconveniently located. This place has a loading dock too.

While the building itself is very secure, the homeless seem to rent lockers there and made me feel unsafe at times with them milling about just getting out of the inclement weather outdoors. In addition, my storage rent more than doubled in the 4 years I rented there, from $180 to $394...and they make you take some type of insurance for what was explained as personal accident liability, whatever that is. Short-term I would recommend, long-term, look elsewhere ~ cheers.
Renting from Compass Storage has been a smooth process with great customer service. I have used other storage companies before and the experience at Compass Storage is far superior. The facility is clean, the people are super nice and willing to help in anyway they can. We worked with Loren - he is AWESOME!

This place is great!. I stopped in to inquire about renting a truck Lauren to move a table from near downtown to Lakewood. With it being such a short distance, Lauren (store manager) was gracious enough to charge me mileage and gas for a short rental and also threw in his own personal time to help me with moving the table.

I had a great experience at this compass self storage location. The workers were very helpful and efficient, the units were clean and the doorways were large such that furniture / property could fit through easily. It was also a safe place in that you need a certain code to access the floor and particular unit; I have no concerns about the safety of my property. Overall, I was surprised and very impressed with the experience. My property is now being stored in a good location and I can access it when i want to. Thank you, Compass Self Storage!

Very impressed. After having a long and stressful nothing is going smoothly kind of day with a last minute move, the staff at Compass went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and got me a great rate on a nice storage unit to boot! Not only is the staff professional, but they are all simply great people. Knowing I was in a bit of a time crunch, they even helped me unload my large items and made it a stress free process! Units are clean, dry, bug and rodent free, and easily accessible. I have been using their storage facility for a little more than a year now. The facility is strategically located near where I live in downtown Cleveland. It so convenient and easy access to my storage. Other wonderful things about it are the place is very clean, very nice management, reasonable rates, temperature controlled facility, Penske Truck rental at the location, boxes and other moving related stuffs. I would strongly recommend them.

This is the second time that I have gone through Compass self storage in Cleveland on Superior Avenue. It is awesome! All of the people that work here are Shiny Happy People and you get so many discounts and its not even funny! I really suggest coming here because they remember you even if its been a year or two since you had your rental. Theres no way that you can get better storage than this! Really really really! Dont feel bad coming up here, cuz youre going to be treated like gold :-)
The staff was great. The process of obtaining a storage unit was really smooth. I give it a 3 and not a 5 because I went to my unit around 9pm and a homeless guy was hanging out on the main floor. I’m assuming he got in through the garage because it stays open a while after someone pulls out. It made me and my friends feel very uncomfortable because he was standing really close to me as I was typing in my elevator code. It was a few other people hanging out on the upstairs. Idk how comfortable I’m going to be coming to this location.
While storing boxes in my unit for work, the GM, Lauren and I realized there was not enough space. He allowed me to move my unit to a larger while he started the leasing process, saving me time and money. The team at Compass is always very friendly and is always willing to assist their customers. Well worth it!

I honestly had never used storage before but found myself in a dilemna. I shopped online then decided to check out a few places nearby and was mortified at how filthy they were! Then walked into Compass Self Storage and felt right at home! Not only was the facility immaculate ,but the staff, Lauren and Regina were phenomenal and I was given a tour and moved in that evening being that the hours are so flexible. I HIGHLY recommend Compass to anyone in need of storage (even at the last minute)

I was frantic, and then management managed to get me in and set up very quickly. Promotions vary, something i didnt fully understand, but I still saved a decent amount of money in comparison to the competitors in this area. Thank you management for helping me in my time of need.

I would not recommend storing any furniture or clothing here unless you want to bring roaches home. I reported a roach crawling out of my unit this past October. They put a sticky trap in front of my unit & the two of the sides of mine. It’s clear that the roaches are coming from the unit next to mine considering how many roaches are on their trap. It’s disgusting and very disappointing because my furniture isn’t even a year old yet and I may have to get it replaced. I’m paying $113 a month putting myself at risk for having to spend more on new furniture. The staff act like it’s no big deal because it’s not their stuff. Smh do better!!!

I found Compass Storage while looking for a quality and safe location to store my furniture. I could tell this location was ran very well, when I called to inquire, and spoke with the Manager Lauren. Lauren was extremely professional, patient, and knowledgeable of his customers expectations.The combination of perfect location (only climate controlled and up-to-date storage facility Ive found around downtown Cleveland. The local U-Haul storage facilities are complete dumps (check them out for yourself).There isnt too much else to say besides how clean the facility was, as well as how many precautions they take to ensure their facility runs as efficiently and effectively for their customers.I cannot speak for all Compass Storages, but this one was quite impressive, and I am sure the Store Manager has something to do with it.

Terrible service and experience. My property was water damaged somehow. Customer service, if you choose to call them, is rude consistently and doesnt give price confirmations that are very accurate. It seems that it works out better if you do everything in store to avoid any extra confusion and more courteous service.

I can only compare this Location with INFINITI of beachwood when it comes to customer service. I dont usually equate any place with INFINITI of beachwood cuz they are out of this world but i have to today.One word Exceptional. These guys will go beyond the call of duty to make you happy. they were extremely helpful in all aspects. for instance, I was not able to pull up these huge trucks right to the loading dock but Lauren Hurst helped me pull up the truck to the right position so i could easily get my stuff off. He also provided me with other smaller movers to help move my stuff. He was extremely helpful. always looking for the best option based on your situation.When it comes to Price, its the best as well. I came from Uncle Bob and i am saving about 30 bucks monthly for the same space. With the Temperature control at this location, i have peace of mind knowing my stuff will last ages in there. something Uncle Bob Storage didnt have for me dats y most of my stuff got frozen and wet.So, if you need a storage area where you will be valued first, your property second then your wallet third then come to this location. I ran out of Stars. I was going to make it more than 5. THANK YOU. especially Lauren Hurst for going above and beyond. :)

2022-04-25We went here not having many expectations. That being said, we left feeling so satisfied with the customer service we received it was unbelievable. Lauren was amazing and extremely helpful in explaining the company as well as their process. The storage units themselves are extremely well kept and clean with easy access. I honestly cannot believe how happy I was with the service we received and will be recommending it to any students or friends who need storage in the area.

2022-04-29I came because I needed to store few things and I couldn’t be happier with both, the service and the amazing storage units that they have! The entire team was extremely helpful and nice in assisting me in all my needs, showing me different units until I found the right one for me and finding the best rates for me. Their communication was great at all times, calling checking up on my date of arrival, etc to ensure they had everything ready to go. And the units are super clean and secure, couldn’t be happier I found such a great storage space!

2022-07-30Nice clean storage facility right in heart of downtown Cleveland. Air-conditioned facility, kind , efficient and professional ownership. Easy parking. Great views of city from facility. Prices are very comparable to other a like facilitys. While checking out this business, take a walk through downtown. Plenty of nearby places to eat and or grab a refreshing beverage. Weekends are great time to visit. Dont hesitate, check this storage facility out today and then enjoy a day downtown Cleveland. Very close access to highway also.
