Overall, I have to say the hotel is nice, however, we endured a pouring of water (think it was urine smelling) from the light in the bathroom at 4:30am. My husband got soaked. The hotel did not offer any compensation. We put towels down on the floor so we could at least use the toilet.
I called two time a day before and day of before arrived to make sure the pool was open. But of course when we arrived it was closed due to a “draining issue”. This was one of the only reasons we got a hotel. We were in room 123 and the bed was absolutely horrible. We woke up constantly because the bed was so hard. We ended up leaving at 6:30am because we couldn’t sleep on it anymore. I was very excited about this hotel because of all the good reviews but it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I wish I was being dramatic lol.
Hey Id like to say that training for there front of staff could be better. There was an associate who got some peoples rooms mixed up, which is totally fine, but kept on getting it wrong over and over, train better please so people dont have to wait over 30min to get a room.
I checked out over 3 weeks ago on June 5,2022 and I am still waiting for my room refund since I left a day early. I told staff and management what the last four of my card was 3 times and they still credited back to the wrong card talk about not listening or paying attention.
This hotel is obviously being remodeled but my visit was too little too late. The room was old, dated and dingy. The bed was broken. It should have been noticed by housekeeping when the bed was made before my visit. I only stayed at the hotel for maybe 7 hours but it was a terrible visit. I will never stay there again and will probably think twice before staying at another Comfort Inn.The only good thing about the hotel is that it was quiet. I heard very few outside noises.
Positive: GREAT LOCATION, WOULDNT EVER GO BACK Negative: I CHECKED IN TO THE HOTEL, A CHILD OF ONE OF THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE DESK WAS RUDELY EATING AT THE DESK. I WENT TO MY ROOM WITH MY 3 GIRLS AND LEFT AFTER A FEW MINS. THE BATHROOM HAD HAIR ON THE TOLIET AND SHOWER. THE BEDDING HAD MAKEUP AND SHOE MARKS.
***********⚠️ WARNING!!!! ⚠️******************DONT***STOP!!!!***DONT*****I booked through HOPPER and I arrived they had me sign for my confirmation of reservation and AFTER asked for a $75 deposit that we didnt have....The wouldnt refund our money and when contacting HOPPER was told that we stayed. SomE other person they claimed paid for my deposit and that we stayed...WE DID NOT AND Upon contacting HOPPER was told they follow the Hotels Policy and we lost out on our money and room that they gave to someone else...This Hotel will use Bait and Switch....Manager ROY is rude and isnt people friendly, a manager with an ego and a complex to feel he needs to ascert his authority, and the staff doesnt care about their guest only how much money the can get...They were unsupportive and very disconnected from their guest and just focus on telling me they dont use 3rd party sites and they have a right to change policy at will...I certainly understand change and I get a deposit if notified prior to signing for the room or even booking it ...but it was the attitude and the disrespect from the staff and then inability to explain why they would accept payment on a deposit for another guest that we obviously didnt know and was unaware of makes no since and is so far fetched it makes me laugh....Stay at your own risk....they dont care about your money or your stay....just their bottom line!!...
This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Its easy to get a restful sleep here. The staff goes beyond to assist when needed. My daughters wedding was in the area and they were a huge help with the multiple family and friends staying.I have stayed with several hotels in the area and Polaris is my favorite. The location is perfect and close to multiple activities.
This was a great place to stay. Rooms were very clean, service was good, the buffet breakfast was excellent. Its so nice to have a sit down dine in breakfast with a buffet. There is no hot tub but we used the pool. It was a little chilly but very relaxing after a long day. Highly recommend...
Positive: The lobby smelled amazing and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and our room had a waterfall view of the mini golf course. The pool was really nice and had bathrooms and towels provided. The breakfast was really good too! Negative: Nothing, everything was great!
A pleasant experience from checking in to checking out! The hotel staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. This was a very nice family friendly hotel in a very nice area. It was clean, and they did have a wonderful hot breakfast with a lot to choose from. I would recommend this hotel!
The hotel was very clean. They got us in last minute because of the hotel we were staying at was disgusting. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was okay. The rate was $161 for king single room. Close to shopping. Very comfortable bed and pillows! Quiet and peaceful.
Absolutely Wonderful, I stay in hotels 25-28 nights a month with my job and I use Choice hotels and this Comfort is one of the best, and I usually don’t do reviews but the lady that checked me in was such a absolute pleasure I just had to do a review. She was just so happy and upbeat and just had a great vibe about her. She made my check in painless, honestly 60 seconds she handed me my room key, she answered all my questions perfectly and was very informative and knowledgeable. I really wished I would have caught her name but I checked in Monday 8/2/21 at about 10:55pm so please Thank her and let her know that she is doing a extremely EXTREMELY WONDERFUL JOB!!!If ever hotel I stayed at had one of her they would be 100 times better!!!I will definitely stay here anytime I’m in the area.
It was a decent hotel just need to check spots in the rooms to clean better, make sure things are not broken for the next guest. Overall not a bad hotel. Staff was friendly and laid back. They did serve wrapped foods in the morning, as some hotels are not. This was nice. It was a quiet room even close to the highway. Bed was comfy. Price is great.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Zara at the Front Desk, & Jennifer the Front Desk Manager we wonderful! Ashley at the Breakfast is such a hard worker. Give everyone a raise! The rooms are nice, bed comfortable, and the Pool was good. The real star of the show was the shower and water pressure, Amazing!!
Positive: Location was ideal, room was clean, and breakfast had good options. Negative: Hotel staff was rude and not professional. She gave a lot of grief about rooms not being available early- can¿t check us in until 4, etc; but when asked again (since email stated earlier check in and we were going to an event) it was ready all along.
We scheduled a block back in January or February. Made it extremely clear we wanted the room with a normal size fridge not a mini fridge, with a little kitchen, kitchen table, and the separate living area from the bedroom. We were sold that about 10months in advance for our wedding. Guaranteed over and over again.Husband checked in while I was on my way there, it was the wrong room. Then they tried to say they called me to tell me about it, when they never did or I would have changed hotels. Then the lady argued with my husband and me on the phone telling me I wasnt allowed to get ready with the bridemaids bc of safety..when she assumed they were all sleeping in our room.?Said they could transfer our block to A farther hotel, but it would have to to be everyone room, not just ours. We had people checking in the same night we were..not an option. Also it would be canceling everyones stays and taking a chance. So they attempted to make it up with access to the pantry fridge and lying about giving us something kinda similar with queen beds. I have a queen at home. They gave us 2 full beds. So we couldnt even sleep in the same bed as new husband and wife...let alone comfortably without falling out.We had asked them to let a family member in our room to get something we forgot for wedding..which they did. But they also cleaned the room without permission. And by clean I mean replacing towels and giving us 1 roll of tp...but they didnt take out the trash, which I had taken real trash bags because I knew we would have a lot.Not to mention we were given a room that was trashed in terms of the walls, floor, counter because it was scheduled to be demolished in the middle of our stay.
The reception area gave the illusion of a delightful Choice hotel. That illusion became a disappointing reality as soon as I stepped into the very small room. The wallpapered walls displayed many poorly spackled areas underneath. The 3 pieces of furniture resembled garage sale freebies. The towel bar in the bathroom was held together with clear packaging tape, and amateurly done so too.The bolt on the door did not go into the door frame when closed, but worked perfectly when the door was opened. In an area of the city where hotel choices are plentiful, make a wiser choice than I did.
This hotel is a pleasure the moment you walk in. Clean, beautifully decorated and a welcome staff. The rooms are large and tasteful with all the amenities. I am handicapped and the room had all I needed. I have always been treated with courtesy and my requests have always been met. I will continue to stay here.
I wish they have 0 stars here. The rooms are really small, the Hallway carpet is really dirty, and they have said they have hot breakfast and do not even have anything hot eggs. I had called the hotel before I book the hotel for hot breakfast. All the hotels have a good excuse that because of Covid our truck on hold this is my second Comfort Inn. Even at 10 am swimming pool has a chemical in it and the pool open from 9 am to 11 pm. I do not know why other people have good reviews for this hotel.
Best prices around, period. The hotel rooms are very clean and all appliances worked perfectly. There were no issues in the room.We were a little surprised to discover there wouldn’t be room cleaning service except for once every three days. If you needed more towels or toiletries, you’d have to ask the front desk. That’s not really a big deal to me, though. What did bother me was the breakfast, which they changed to be “COVID safe.” Packaged food is inside drawers or the fridge so everyone has to touch those surfaces to get the food out... that’s totally fine by me, but they should’ve kept the normal breakfast open because it is NO different than people touching handles to get fresh eggs or bacon out of the warmers. Think, people!
This Choice Hotel is conveniently located off the highway with an abundance of restaurants to choose from within walking distance or within a mile car drive. Centrally located to the Columbus Zoo, OSU & downtown Columbus. The location is safe, but adjacent to the highway so you may get a room that has a drone of the highway. Some staff were wonderfully helpful and some had an I dont care attitude. The a/c (and assuming heat) are operated by a thermostat on the wall. The a/c in our room did not operate. We discovered this late in the evening. We spoke to two clerks, one that evening and one at check-out and both gave the same response Im sorry about that. As the temps in the Powell area were 80 the room was needless to say very warm - 77 to be exact. It is due to this that I wouldnt recommend this Choice hotel - this is a first for me - which is too bad because the location, and price/point value, were good. But if you are going to sweat in a room...or in the winter be very cold - well that is unacceptable. There are other hotels in this vicinity so perhaps check one of those out. Disappointed in my fav chain.
So wow! Definitely not what I was excepting. Due to the two star hotel rating along with some depressing reviews. However, tonight’s stay made me iffy on whether or not I wanted to stay here or not, including every where else on Polaris was priced over $200 for ONE NIGHT. . I am used to 4-5 star hotels with luxurious comfort and etc, yet extremely impressed with this location! Which regards to my comment about not expecting this hotel to be as nice as it truly was. The cute little bucket decorations, Tiffany laps, and so forth. Extremely home warming. I felt so welcomed, and was charmed the second I gave my name to check in. The front seat tonight was so helpful, and was able to give awesome availability due to COVID-19. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service, even at upper class hotels. Also, I wanted to make sure to give the lady who’s name I completely forget, but wow!!! You are new and just starting with the company and I honestly couldn’t ever tell. The professionalism is superior. Excellent service that went completely over the top for my stay here. Again, thank you! With this being a last minute stay the price you was nowhere near anywhere else on this location. 80$ a night v.s 210$. You really can’t beat this anywhere else. Yes, I will be returning!
Overall, the Comfort Inn was nice and comfortable. The lobby is well designed and modern, though the rooms are fairly average and not as updated. Even so, the furniture in the rooms were nicely kept and not falling part or shady. The internet speed was very fast and considering we were at the hotel during a full to capacity weekend, I was surprised the internet stayed fast and that the room was quiet. The walls are almost sound proof which is great. The A/C unit and very nice and is controlled using an up-to-date digital wall unit and the room we stayed in had a fan and overhead light. Lovely! There some loose bathrooms tiles that werent great and a few weird stains on the wall at the front entry, and the mini fridge and microwave could use some updating. Other than that, not a bad choice for the price.
Overall the hotel met our expectations for a quick stay. I was shocked in the fact that the night before we stayed across the street for a much lesser price, and the rooms were bigger and more up to date; however that hotel did not serve breakfast. We would have went back to the other hotel for night #2 but we originally did not know that we would have stay another night in town and once we realized that the hotel was sold out. At the end of the stay this Comfort Inn was clean and comfortable.
Right off the highway in shopping area, with gas and food, A+ for convenience. Clean room and good sized but very surprised by sink and counter right inside the door... layout of room was not the best choice. Totally ignored by lobby staff, not even a hello while waiting in the empty lobby for car... but exchanged good mornings with the cleaning lady on our floor.
So far in my stay at comfort inn @ Polaris the cable has gone out 3 times for about an hr each time. And the nice breakfast that they offer on the website when you book the room.. does not exist. Supposed to be eggs ..sausage.. waffles ..ect.Instead all they offered was cold cereal and yogurt. Horrible. 200$ for 2 days . Atleast offer what your website says you have... or change the website. I wasnt even offered an apology.
Very friendly staff and clean room. No odd odors. The whole hotel was clean and very well decorated. The only thing that could’ve been better was the breakfast. However, as someone whose stayed in a lot of hotels, I’ve had worse. Despite that I’d still give the hotel 5 stars for sure. I’d also like to point out that even though it was right beside the highway, we never heard any noise. Once again I’m not disappointed with a Comfort Inn.
We spent 4 nights at the Comfort Inn. It is a nice hotel with comfortable beds. The wifi was OK, but didnt always work. They have a breakfast, fitness room and an indoor pool. The free breakfast was decent although the coffee cups were pretty small. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating and there was sufficient parking, even on a busy weekend.
Clean, modern facility, nice rooms & good variety of choices at breakfast. Kids had a blast in the pool & adults loved the hot tub. Very friendly and courteous staff, only wish our room had a fridge! But the front desk did offer to store small to-go containers in the fridge behind the front desk. Overall great experience!
The guest service phenomenal. From pre-booking the reservation to check out, everyone we interacted with was great. We were there with a large group for a wedding and theyre very accommodating. The breakfast and pool hours were great. Each lasted a little longer than your typical time range. Breakfast was delicious and everyone in my family with happy with it. The containers were constantly being refilled so it was never empty. The rooms were clean and the bed and sheets were very comfortable. We all slept great. There were a few little things here and there that I didnt like, but the main reason Im giving the hotel 4 stars instead of a perfect 5 is that we discovered mold/mildew in and around the windows of my room. It wasnt horrible so I didnt think anything of it, but it was still there.
The room we stayed in was a king Suite. It was spacious and clean with personal controls for the temperature for each room. The kitchen area was roomy and with the counter, allowed our kids to eat breakfast in an area away from where we slept. The furniture and furnishings were clean and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful in all of our requests. Also, the complimentary breakfast had many choices that allowed our family the ease of finding their likes to satisfy their hunger in early hours. The pool and sauna were clean and had a lift, in the event that one would be needed. Finally, the wifi was truly effective and the service was high speed. Overall, we were in a super location that offered us access to the many stores near us and a comfortable, clean and safe place to rest each night.
Wow, hands down the best bang for your buck. Ive stayed in quite a bit of comfort inns and this is by far the best. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable. The breakfast here is Amazing! Sadly I didnt get to explore the poolHot tube area, but Im sure its probably good too. The bathrooms and showers were even super clean. Not a lot of hotels Id consider showering in, but this would definitely be one of them, if I needed to shower. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel and will recommend!
Great location for me to use as home base while working on a retail remodeling project. My crew also stayed in this same hotel. For the most part, the hotel and rooms were of good value. However the AC unit fan was rather loud. Had to turn it off in order to get some sound sleep. Didnt bother reporting it to the management as I felt that the inconvenience of moving to another room wouldnt be worth the hassle.Really enjoyed the hot tub/spa in the pool room. Very relaxing, used it every day while here. I returned the following week (but in a different room) Much quieter and no issues what-so-ever. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasnt too bad. Seemed to be more sausage days than bacon days. But I managed.Ill be back if Im working in the area.
The hotel overall was good. The appearance of the hotel was great and the lobby was very clean. All staff members I encountered were helpful and cheerful. The bathroom was a little unkept but nothing extreme. The bedding was amazing, the pillows and sheets were very comfortable and made falling asleep very easy. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful! I would recommend this hotel.
This Comfort Inn is nice, clean, and well maintained. The breakfast items were stocked and restocked throughout breakfast. The pool area was nice even though the hot tub jets were not working. It is in a convenient area and not far from Columbus Zoo and Zoombeezi Bay, which is why we were there. Its right nexr door to Magic Mountain which was fun for the kids and adults, as well as several restaraunts. You could walk to all. I have stayed here before and would again.
Nice, cool room. Great pool, hot tub, and exercise room. Great stay for the cost. Location is close to family oriented activities. The check in was quick and easy. Front desk person was very polite, friendly, and helpful during my check in time. Room has a lot of storage for items. Great TV package and quick WIFI.
The Comfort Inn North/Polaris is top-notch: clean, comfortable, safe, with a professional and knowledgeable staff. Easy-to-access location, with at least two restaurants within walking distance. Hot tub was not functioning at the time (grateful for a sign being posted so that patrons are not jabbing buttons and flipping switches trying to make it work) but the pool was great. Breakfast room at this hotel was outstanding. The woman in charge was in charge-- really nice to see people treating their work seriously and yet very approachable.
The whole experience was wonderful. The pool area was a good temperature, the workout room came in handy for those who did not swim. I liked that there was a window to the pool area so that I didnt feel bored. The mattress was more comfortable than ours at home! Just cant say enough about how clean everything was. We were in walking distance to great restaurants (no designated driver needed!) Definitely staying here again our next time through.
The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed clean. No mini fridge in the room. the pillows were horrible. and if you are traveling with a family i would not stay here because the sink/vanity is outside of the bathroom and there is no way to block the light or noise when 1 person is getting ready and the rest of the family is sleeping.
Good stay great staff and we stay here alot .it is great for business or family trips we like the area and that it is close to all the stores and not downtown columbus so we will choose this hotel next time we stay we like all the upgrades and that staff is always ready to help.
This hotel more than met our expectations. The staff at every level was very courteous , friendly and obviously well trained. The breakfast hours and prepared food were good for all travelers. The room was well cleaned, updated, and ready when we arrived. Checkout was extremely quick. Just drop off your room keys at the front desk. On overall good stay.
Our family stayed at this hotel after visiting the Columbus Zoo since it was only about 10-12 minutes away and it was close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. I would recommend this hotel. The breakfast was excellent. You had options of fresh fruit, bread, bagels, make your own waffles, cereal, sausage, eggs, yogurt and more. The room was clean had plenty of space. The only 2 downfalls which is why I did not give it 5 stars is when we went swimming before bed the pool was clean and we didnt see any problems. The next morning after we ate breakfast we went swimming again and we saw quite a few ants in the pool that we didnt stay in the pool as long and my husband tried getting them out since our 2 year was looking so forward to going swimming again. The other compliant that I had was that there was only 1 snack vending machine and it was on the 2nd floor. They need to an another machine and more options. The popcorn we bought out the vending machine to pop in the microwave back in the room was not very good. Im not sure if it was old and had been in there awhile or way but it was not good. Other then these 2 complaints, I would definitely stay here again. Our daughter is already looking forward to going back to the zoo this summer and staying at this hotel again.
This hotel was Clean. Has friendly staff. But are second day the only elevator was not working and was not fixed in a timely manor. We had to bring our luggage down the stairs from the top floor. Also our very small refrigerator was missing the bar that held the cold drinks, which made it impossible to to hold more then for four small drinks. The refrigerator was very small compared to other hotel I have stayed at.
My teenage daughter and I recently stayed at this location. It was handy for where our event was located. The room was clean. The stairway carpet was very dirty needs replaced. The elevator is very slow might be why the stairway appeared to have lots of use. The whirl pool was broke and the water was disgusting. Have stayed there before. Needs updates at this location.
We stayed here for our mini vacation on July 31-Aug. 1. We checked in at 3 pm and the rooms were not ready at the time of check in, which was a bit of a inconvenience, but gave us time to go and eat. Once we checked in to the rooms, it was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. It was also a very good price. The pool was nice, but a bit of a let down that the hot tub was not in working order. The beds were very comfortable. I was very pleased with the selection of pillows that they had for comfort on the beds. The breakfast buffet in the morning for the continental breakfast was absolutely great. It had a variety of breakfast foods for all to enjoy. Check out was simple and convenient and easier with the fact that I prepaid for the room online. All in all this was a great place to stay and will stay here again.
Perfect getaway for my wife and I. We loved the look and feel of the newly renovated rooms. They were very clean, quiet and spacious. There was quite the selection at breakfast, everything was hot and there was no shortage of food as well as plenty of seating. The staff were attentive and friendly during check in/out. We were pleased with the price we paid for the nice amenities this hotel offered. We would definitely stay again!
I had a great stay in a very nice and comfortable, tho slightly odd layout of a room. Which was not off-putting at all, Just odd. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The location of the hotel was a bit out of the way, but not by much, so no real complaint. Would gladly stay here again next time Im in the area
When you walked in the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. The desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout the visit! It seemed like they all wanted to make sure everyone was happy. The breakfast selections were awesome!! Room was clean and comfortable. Very conveniently located to all sorts if activities and close to the interstate. Only problem I had was that my toilet leaked all over the floor.
We had a queen suite, very spacious! We have children so the extra space was great! The kitchenette area was a plus! The bedroom and a large closet and separate vanity w/ sink (in addition to the full bathroom) which was super great when we were all trying to get ready. There are lots of restaurants and Magic mountain within walking distance! Pool and spa were nice and clean, pool was warm, and the pool area bathrooms were heated, so you didnt freeze walking in! We will definitely stay again!
This hotel was clean everywhere we went. Unfortunately we didnt make it to the pool on our trip, but it looked nice as well. Beds were clean and comfortable, room carpeting, bathrooms, even the halls were clean! Big plus with this family! Breakfast is a basic continental with eggs, but Lee does an awesome job keeping everything very well stocked and cleaned! Only issue we had was trying to get in our room, the cards or the reader, wasnt working. It took 3 trips to the front desk to get cards that worked finally, not great at 9-10pm. Then we paid extra to get a room with microwave and frig. The frig is so small, its not even worth it! Not big enough to hold any food, so our carryout went to waste. A cooler filled at the ice machine wouldve worked better. All in all, it was a great hotel!
Not bad for a good price. Very friendly staff. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the indoor pool and spa. Hot breakfast was very average- could use a wider assortment of fresh fruit and some better grade yogurts to offset it. My only complaint and suggestion is for the feaux-curtains that only cover the edges of the windows to be replaced with curtains that can fully cover the window and darken the room. I dont know many people who want to sleep with the parking lot lights blaring into the room. Other than that, we were quite satisfied with Comfort Inn.
When we checked into hotel we were told hotel indoor pool was shut down for the evening due to large party the day before but that pool should be open next morning. We then asked later if they thought pool would possibly be open for sometime that evening and were told they had to order part for pool that would take days to come in. When we spoke to manager about a possible discount the next morning, since the indoor pool was the number one reason we booked the hotel, we found out there was absolutely nothing wrong with the pool!!! Also had to go to front desk multiple times to ask for things that should have been in the room if it was cleaned and prepared properly, such as bedding for pull out sofa, toiletries, laundry bags... Was pretty disappointed with the entertainment offered in room, about 20 channels, none of which were premiums, Nickelodeon channel cable in but the sound didnt work, and TVs unable to support our devices. So we were forced to watch TV on our phones. Honestly if it wasnt for the manager this hotel would receive all horrible ratings from me.
This was not a bad hotel in that staff worked to make things right with our room, but we were disappointed with the initial room assigned and the issues with clogged drain. The overall cost of a 5 night stay ended up being very reasonable and beds were comfortable. There was a hot breakfast which was average compared to our prior year stay in another higher cost chain.
The rooms are a bit smelly (like old smoke, musky). The suite is comfortable for my family of 5. We enjoy they pool, and were given free put-put for the next door Magic Mountain. This is the second time weve stayed at this location. It is average, and if you can overlook the smell, then youll enjoy your stay. The beds are comfy, and the staff was nice. I did find a drink from the previous guest in the refrigerator (which is a bit off putting). The location is great. Definitely more positives than negatives, and we would stay here again.
My suite was pretty clean. The bed was comfortable. Hotel provided a crib for our baby. The front room of my suite had a sofabed, chair, tv, desk and desk chair and plenty of lighting and a ceiling fan. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and wet bar. The hotel has an indoor pool which was a comfortable temperature and theres also a hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was not great but decent. Staff was friendly.
The hotel is clean and the location is good. Employees are efficient and courteous. The hotel is beginning to show wear and tear. My husband needs oxygen at night and the hotel always has the consentrator there for us. They are kind enough to keep it in the office during the two-month period that we stay there.
We had a positive stay at this hotel after spending the day at the Ohio State Fair. The appearance was on point and the staff was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was full of options and even included hot food (plus for me). The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had three people in our room with two beds and we each felt like we had enough space. No concerns, no negative experiences.
Overall, my experience at the Polaris Comfort Inn was a decent one. The room was great; very clean and comfortable. The only thing negative I have to say about the room is that the bathroom is extremely small and cramped. Otherwise I think our room was worth the price. I was too busy to check out the facilities, but the pool liked nice from where I was able to see it from the lobby. The breakfast and WiFi was alright. The lobby staff wasnt very personable, but they did their job and were helpful when I checked in and gave directions to the Polaris Fashion mall - which was very nice and right across the street from the hotel. My friends and I spent a lot of time there so the location was perfect. However, the other half of our time was spent in the city, which was more than a good 15 minutes away. Future guests should be aware if they dont want to spend a lot of time driving on the highway. If you dont mind driving, this hotel is fairly priced for his quality and distance from the city.
Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Main lobby rather small. Would help if it was remodeled. We have been staying there for years and the furniture has not changed in the lobby area. We are surprised in the increase in rates this year. Nothing has changed in the hotel and yet the prices have drastically increased. This time our stay was using our rewards. The service was as good as if we paid for the evening.
The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good. The rate we paid for the room was very reasonable. The hotel isconvenient to the interstate, shopping, and food choices. The rollaway bed in our room was perfect for my 14 year old son to sleep in. We were very satisfied with this hotel. The room was a good size for our family of 5. Also had a mini fridge and microwave, plus free hot breakfast. Great price!
Pool was closed. Toilet in our room was broken and we had to remove the lid to flush it as per instructed by the lady at the front desk that came and checked it out. It was disgusting. There are a few other hotels in the area. I would def check out any other place than here.
Hotel was as expected for the price. Room smelled musty and bathroom tile was damaged and stained. Bed was comfortable, and I appreciated having a fridge. No do not disturb sign to opt out of housekeeping. If you check in late, you may have to park in the rear of the building and walk around to get to the main entry. Once you have a room card, you can access a rear door, which feels safer than walking around.
No complaints with the cleanliness of the hotel. The lady working the front desk could have used a little help. A few guest and myself had to wait over 15 minutes for her to return to the front desk to check us in. She indicated there was no one else working at the hotel to assist. I was disappointed that the room I booked didnt have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. I had to pay to upgrade my room to have those items in my room. For the amount of money per night, the room should have had a microwave and refrigerator. One perk, I received a discount card to Texas Road House at check in. I took advantage of that deal the same evening...Great marketing tool for Texas Road House!
We stayed at this hotel last year and found it to be clean, easy access, and a great breakfast. We decided that it was a good deal for the price so we decided to stay there again this year on our annual trip. It had been renovated and was lovely. Besides the great breakfast (something for everyone) and good coffee, the new beds were wonderful! The room was clean, and very comfortable, especially the bed. I have trouble sleeping and I slept through the night with no trouble. We will be going back next year!
We stayed at this Comfort Inn while in the area visiting the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. There are many fine Comfort Inns around the country, but this is among the best. Its very clean and welld that whi;lemaintained. We only had the pleasure of meeting one of the staff, the young lady at the desk when we arrived, and was there at checkout. She was very efficient and helpful, and we felt that we were really welcome. The breakfast was also very good. It was the same selection we usually find at most other Choice hotels, but even better in quality. For example, we often find at other locations that the scrambled eggs and link sausage are acceptable, but a little bland. In this case, both were well above average, comparable to what one might be served at a restaurant. There are plenty of good restaurants on the vicinity, too, and some offer discounts to Comfort Inn guests. We were very satisfied with our experience, and know where well be staying next time we decide to spend a night in the Columbus area.
Staff was extremely accommodating and cordial. My room and bath were clean and pleasantly presented with modern appliances and updated fixtures... and the price was very affordable. The presence of 5 great restaurants within walking distance of the property was a great cobvenience.. and several of them offered 10% discounts to Comfort Inn guests.
The location of the hotel was perfect. I liked how it was around a shopping center, an entertainment center, and by the highway. The lobby was definitely inviting, especially the coffee station! That was refreshing after driving 2.5 hours. The issue was the key cards, I had a hard time with both key cards not working. I tried every which way and both of them kept getting a red light. So, I had to take my luggage back down the elevator with my coffee in hand had them reset it and again only one of the 2 worked. The hotel was very inviting. Nice size beds, bathrooms, and I personally like seeing my car in the parking lot so that was a nice perk for me. There was used gum under the television so I had to take a towel and cover it up, aside from that it was a very cute little room! I did have issues again after I left the hotel room to grab dinner with the key cards. They had to be reset again after again carrying my dinner up the elevator with my drink and having the struggle of the key cards. Finally, they got them fixed and I was able to access my room. Upon going to bed, the beds were very comfortable, the heating / cooling system was accessible and I just had a pleasant stay!
Ive stayed at other area hotels, but this one exceeded my expectations. The lobby was clean and nicely decorated. The check-in and front desk personnel were kind, efficient and friendly. The hallways, elevator, and room were clean and in good repair. My particular room was very clean; I was impressed by the clean carpeting (my pet peeve is when the carpet in my room is dirtier than the sidewalk outside). The bedding and the bathroom were also clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the dining area was extremely clean.
My room was clean, bathroom was roomy, as was the suite. The coffee maker was out of commission and I requested a different one from housekeeping who said they would “work on it.” Next day I requested one from front desk without success. 4 days later at checkout, there still was not a working coffee maker. Bed was older and worn. air conditioning was quiet and worked well.
Excellent from beginning to end. We traveled with 18 middle school students and the hotel was extremely accommodating to our students. Breakfast was perfect. They did not run out of food once. Also, the staff made our students feel 100% comfortable. The hotel is clean, breakfast is amazing and ataff is well trained and were able to help us with anything we may have needed.
Stayed here several times because its one of the cheaper hotels that has a pool and hot tub. Thats all my 9-year-old daughter cares about. When I made reservations for my recent stay I specifically asked if the pool and hot tub would be in working order as I always do. I was assured that they would be for my entire stay. They lied to me! We tried to swim in the morning before check out and it was closed. Well never stay there again! Id rather spend more money on a quality hotel with employees with integrity/awareness! We could ignore how filthy the room and pool area were but not the disappointment it caused my daughter!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The room they gave me did not have a microwave or a refrigerator. I have always stayed at these hotels and never had a room without them. My stay was comfortable and quiet and they even gave us a coupon for the steakhouse.
Overall, the location is great and getting to a store or the highway was right there! The accommodations were were pretty good. The rooms were quiet (as was the heat/air unit!) and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a lot to choose from at the breakfast (included!). The staff was friendly. Check in was quick. I would definitely come back to this hotel!
The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The hot food offered for breakfast was really not edible. The hotel would be better off serving hot oatmeal and bacon instead of eggs and sausage. A dedicated business area would be better than in the main traffic flow between the front door and the elevator.
Staff was pleasant. Room clean. Attention to detail lacking. Roll away bed that I included in my reservation was not in our room. I had to track it down, but I was charged for it on the reservation. When it did arrive in the room it was not much more than a pool raft. We weren’t given bedding for the “pool raft.” We’ve stayed there multiple times with great experiences. This one was not! Not all rooms have frig and microwave. Be sure to read room description carefully. Overall, I was sadly disappointed.
The Comfort Inn is conveniently located very close to the highway. The outside of the building looked clean, neat and well taken care of. Check-in was fast and efficient and the room was ready. The room had recently been updated and they have done a terrific job. Could find no fault with anything and it was immaculate and that includes the bathroom. I used the pool and hot tub and found them clean and well maintained. There were towels provided in the area and seating was plentiful. The bedding was first class and a wonderful comforter was provided instead of the usual motel blanket. The breakfast provided had a good variety and the lady that was in charge was pleasant and helpful. Checking out was easy and painless. The lady working the desk seemed genuinely interested in how we felt about our stay.
Very accommodating when making reservation requests for rooms side by side and our room was clean when we checked in. However, we put up the Do Not Disturb sign the first night and took it off at 8:30am the next morning but already had a sheet of paper saying our room wouldnt be cleaned that day. I feel that is laziness on the housekeeping staff because they were still in the hallway cleaning rooms when we left at 10am. Its in a safe area with many dining options, so I would stay there regardless of the room not being picked up. Breakfast was very busy and quality of food service was good considering how many people were eating. Staff was friendly at check in. Also, nice that its located by Magic Mountain Fun Center and our kids were able to do fun activities on our night off from the competition we were there for that weekend. Id recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quality hotel in a safe area with lots to do.
We had a great stay at this clean, safe hotel. There is a hot tub in the pool area, which was nice. Breakfast was good with a selection of eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes along with the usual continental breakfast items. Good coffee. Comfortable beds, clean modern rooms. Would definitely stay here again. Close to shopping and restaurants.
A very nice hotel! We had a good experience, the room was clean & the continental breakfast was fantastic! The location is wonderful in terms of being close to all the shopping and restaurants in the area. On the other hand the location is a negative because this hotel is located right next to the highway. Traffic was very loud at night, and I woke up several times each night from the noise.
This hotel is very convenient to stores and eating places. Nice variety of breakfast food choices. Nice clean, quiet room that was reasonably priced. I have been meeting my college roommates here for the past three years and have never been disappointed. I definitely plan on returning next year!
Would not stay at this hotel again. Did like the area and the convenience to restaurants and shopping. Decent breakfast included but the hotel could use some updating and the cleaning staff does not do a thorough job in the rooms. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful.
Although the hotel was clean, and the service good, our bathroom (room 309) smelled of mildew, and the pool area seemed like it needed a good cleaning. Normal continental breakfast type fair. We only used the pool once because they were draining the pool and the hot tub on the second day of our stay. Overall not a bad choice, just not a fabulous one either.
I spent three nights got good sleep quite atmosphere. Staff pleasant, Breakfast was hot liked that they switched up and had a couple of options at the hot and serve. Would like to see them change the meat choices once in a while from sausage to bacon you cant go wrong with bacon.
This hotel is wonderful. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. Our room was extremely clean & smelled great. The breakfast was wonderful & the dining area is very clean. I cant say enough Good things about this hotel. I have stayed here many times & I love it!!!!
I was only there for one night but everything was great. I was ecstatic to find that the hotel was right off the highway after a 2 hour drive there. We were a little bit earlier than check-in time, but they went and got the room ready for us anyway. The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and I really enjoyed the bathroom area. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Check out was super easy and quick! Everything was very good :)
I enjoyed our stay overall even though we where in Columbus due to a family member in the hospital. The hotel had a nice complementary breakfast which included sausage, eggs waffles, begals, cereal, fruit and some sweets. I really appreciated having breakfast available at they hotel! The pool/hot tube was relaxing and clean. The room we stayed in was only missing a fridge however I was told some rooms do have them. I would recommend this hotel.
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel and this time I brought my children on a family trip. They loved playing in the pool. The internet connection kept them busy later. The breakfast was awesome the next morning. The hotel staff are amazing. When my son lost his football, we left our name and number. The called us a few hours after we had checked out with news that their housekeeping staff had found it in a room. They even offered to mail it to our home in case we were already out of the city. It is in close proximity to shopping and restaurants and in my opinion is a great value. I cant wait to come back in the future as they are renovating all the rooms to update everything. I will definitely be staying here again.
There were a few little things here and there that I didnt like, but the main reason Im giving the hotel 4 stars instead of a perfect 5 is that we discovered mold in and around the windows of my room. We didnt notice it until we were packing up so we didnt look at the other rooms our group were in. Before you read the remaining list of my cons, understand that I know these are petty, just small things I think that would have made the visit better. Shower heads: Im pretty tall and the shower head couldnt be adjusted, so it was kind of annoying to have it shooting at my stomach without kneeling over. Pool and towels: The towels supplied at the pool were too small. Needed 3-4 to just dry myself off. Pool temp was a little cold for an indoor pool. My kids were in for a few seconds and were done. Couldnt get used to the temp. Room amenities: My coffee pot was missing so I couldnt make coffee in my room. I probably could have asked for one, but wasnt in any dire need of coffee. I just walked out to the lobby and filled up at one of their pumps that were kept filled at all times. I booked a room with a fridge so we could store my babys food and bottles, but there was no fridge. Used our cooler and ice from the machine.
My husband and I were dropping off our daughter to Ohio State University late Thursday evening and were tired and looking for a hotel to sleep for the night. Decided to shop at Polaris the next morning and head to hocking Hills after that so we decided on Choice Hotels. It was in the Middle of the road in price and had free breakfast and the location was were we wanted to be. I asked for a discount because it was almost morning when we were checking in but they made us pay full price. The room was very large. Decor was old but clean. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good but the eggs my husband had was cold. He went back to see if the ones on bottom was still cold and they were! Had a waffle instead. Took a shower and Then we checked out. We’re there for less then 10 hours.
As frequent traveler with large family, I often stay in suite hotels. The one bedroom, double queen suite was well laid out but quite pricey compared to similar arrangements, although the whole area seems unusually expensive. The room and hotel were decent enough for one night but appeared more worn and shabby than I expected. Not a deal breaker but would not be my first choice when visiting the area again. It was adequate. Son used pool...briefly. Hotel description said it was heated. It was NOT, and too cold to enjoy in March despite choosing this hotel for that feature.
This was our second attempt to stay at a choice hotel in Columbus. we came to town to attend a funeral. we made a reservation at Quality Inn, North Polaris as it was the closest to our destination and had the most affordable rate for a one night stay. when we got there, the smell in the lobby was overwhelming (room deodorizer?) to the point of being uncomfortable. This property is pet friendly and we learned ALL rooms are pet friendly which added to our concern. We are not pet owners and prefer not to share sleeping space with animals. We cancelled and booked at Comfort inn. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor. The morning of check out we were shocked to see a sign on the elevator showing it was out of order. No other option was provided. I actually helped another guest, a business person who had a cart full of luggage and materials she needed to get to her vehicle. We managed to walk down the 4 flights of stairs several times with suitcases etc. in order to get her to the front desk. Of course, later that morning we needed to do the same thing for ourselves in order to check out. It would have been appropriate for staff to at least apologize for the inconvenience and perhaps even have assistance available to those in need of it. We have been choice privileges members since the 1990s and always use choice hotels when we travel. this experience did not measure up to our expectations.
It was a very kid-friendly hotel. We didnt explore the area around the hotel at all, there were a lot of restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time in the hotel. The pool isnt huge but it was big enough for the kids to have a great time and I saw quite a few adults enjoying the hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was really yummy with lots of options. I wouldnt have minded a lower price but it was still worth it!
We take the kids to this hotel several times each year. It is in a great location with plenty to do around the area. The only complaint I have was, when we book a hotel, we are looking for a swimming pool for the kids and hot tub for us. We always book hotels that offer both. This hotel has a nice pool and small hot tub. The hot tub was drained and out of order this stay. I should have asked when I booked the hotel, but also fell like the person at the desk, who I talked to the day before and the morning of check in, should have mentioned that. I know this is not usually mentioned upon check in. This has happened to us at other hotels in the past and we just go somewhere else. We chose to stay this time, as we had been there several hours before we noticed the hot tub was closed. there was also a sign at the front desk, but it wasnt up when we checked in. Overall, this is a great hotel and we will stay again. I will remember to make sure the hot tub is working before I book the reservation though. One other thing...in this hotel, there is not a fridge and microwave in each room. Rooms that have them are $10 more than rooms that dont. We stay in hotels several times a year and havent noticed this anywhere else. Almost every hotel we stay at has a refrigerator and microwave in each room. Not sure why I have to pay more for it. On past occasions, when the hotel wasnt full, they have moved us to a room that has those things for the same rate.
It was ok. The hot tub and elevator could have been much cleaner. The hotel rooms themselves were clean. However every day coming back from an 8 hour conference our room temperature in the rooms was 74 degrees in the summer. It was difficult to get the temps to come down every night.
In town for a set of youth hockey games. The hotel offered a group rate which was very economical and included breakfast. Upon arrival, we found the hotel to be in a good location, and easy to get to. Immediate impression was clean looking from the parking lot, and clean inside the hotel lobby area. Clean room and decent sized for the family. Lots of dining options and a fun center nearby for the kids. Pool was closed to due a mechanical problem, but our kids were able to be detoured to the fun center that is located next door. Hotel lobby staff supplied us with discount coupons for the Fun Center, so that was appreciated to save a few dollars too.Our boys did get a little loud in the later part of the evening, and a hotel staff member had to ask us to quiet the boys down. She was polite in every sense of the word, AND she was absolutely right.Overall, a good experience at this Comfort Inn, and would return should out hockey schedule bring us back to the area.
Management needs to control the guests who are up all night partying in the hallways and lobby. Seriously, I left the hotel at 4:25 a.m. on a Sunday morning, (for a triathlon), and there were at least four people in the lobby and hallway being loud, obviously drunk/stoned. No employees in sight. When we checked in, there were about 40 people in the lobby, breakfast area, and outside being loud, and that noise continued until well after 10:00 that night. We asked to be moved to a different room than our first floor suite--a really weird double room that urgently needs updating--because of the noise and the stomping all night long of the people in the room above us. The staff that next morning was very accommodating, and the fourth floor room we moved to was adequate. Will never stay there again. It felt unsafe.
We were a bit concerned about the possible noise level since there was a basketball tournament in the area and the hotel was filled with children. We were located just down the hall from the swimming pool. By 10:45, the halls were quiet and we had a great sleep. The breakfast bar was quite good. The scrambled eggs were real and not those flat tasteless ones usually served in hotels. Our only complaint was the flushing mechanism in the toilets. It was supposed to be an energy saver, but all it did was cause one to have to repeat the flushing process several times. To me that was not saving water.
Check-in clerk was friendly & process was very quick & easy. Got up to our room and it was BEAUTIFULLY decorated, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Carpet was soft and homey, bed was high quality, lots of nice pillows to choose from, plenty of towels. Didnt get a chance to swim but it looked so inviting; the continental breakfast was FANTASTIC! I wish every hotel I stayed in was this amazing!!
The hotel was clean. We had an accessible room but the room was so small I could not turn my wheelchair around. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom instead of the bathroom. The breakfast was great though. The room was ok for a quick stop but I wouldn’t want to stay for more than a night.
The door to our room was a bit alarming. It had clearly been broken in to. There was damage to the wood like someone had kicked it in, and the inside of the door also had wood splintering. I was very impressed with the suite we had. I really liked the layout of it. It was spacious for my family of 5, and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was nice, but the doors didnt lock. The filters in the air unit really need to be cleaned. It smelled in the rooms, and when we woke up the next morning, it had an even worse (mildew) smell. You could visibly see the dust built up on the air filter. We used the pool, and that was fun. The breakfast was nice as well. I only heard a few toilets flush through the night. Sometimes when you stay at a hotel its quite loud, but it was pretty quiet, and when we woke up the next morning there were a lot of people who stayed that night. So thats great that we didnt hear anyone. We did have a really nice stay, and would stay at this hotel again. It is right by the Polaris Mall, and tons of restaurants. It would be great to see a few more improvements done, but overall it was relaxing, and pleasant.
My son and I traveled to Columbus, Ohio, from Florida, to assist him in area familiarization & apartment-hunting, for a new job relocation. We researched several hotel within the Columbus and Westerville areas and this one offered all the amenities we were looking for, at a reasonable price, in comparison to others. Hotel and rooms were nice and clean and very good shape. Staff was very helpful too. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. The only negative, in our minds, we would have to mention, is that our room did not have a refrigerator (big or small), nor a microwave...these two simple appliances we expected to have in the room, but that was surprisingly not the case. Other than that, everything else was great.
Have stayed here several times before and this time wasn’t any different. Very pleased with the cleanliness of rooms and friendliness of the staff. The breakfast is very good. You get more than most. Something for everyone: Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, cereal, fruit, pastries and more. Though this trip I was thoroughly disappointed that the pool/hot tub was not working and did not find out until check in. Some notification would have been nice as part of the reason I stay here with my family is the indoor pool/hot tub.
This hotel was great to spend an overnight stay in. It was clean, the breakfast was good, and WiFi was good if you needed it. The pool was very clean as well as the hot tub. The only negative thing I would have to say is there are no mini fridges in the hotel and that hurts if you have small children or go out to dinner and come back with left overs.
Over all, we were very pleased with this hotel. Nice and helpful staffs at the front desk, clean rooms, nice breakfast with lots of choices. We had to use a table in the lobby to have a breakfast but cleaning lady started vacuuming right next us and that wasnt pleasant. I wish she could wait till breakfast time was over.
My husband and I were happy with the modern look of the room and found the beds comfortable. We liked that there were 5 pillows on the bed, to achieve the feel we were used to. Room was clean and the amenities were all we needed. Would have stayed longer if we could so to have time to visit the pool and eat that yummy-smelling breakfast.
Staff is very efficient and helpful. Rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The lounge is sufficient, but shows some wear. The public restroom in the lobby is not always clean and missing some supplies. The breakfast is well presented with a good variety of food.
I’ve stayed here in the past. It is surprisingly cheap compared to surrounding hotels. Needs some updating but still good for the price. Good location.MY issue was that when I checked in, the yound lady told me she was unable to input my Choice Hotels account number.... however, the next morning there was an account number on the receipt... but not mine. After calling Choice support.. I learned two things: 1.) that she had created a NEW account for me using my ID at check in, and added it to the bill without telling me and 2.) that Choice employees get bonus points when they sign people up for new accounts. You do the math on that one. I, nor anyone in my department at work, will be staying there again.
I was in town for the Thirty-One Gifts Conference and didnt want to stay downtown. Ive stayed at this hotel two other times and knew that my stay would be good. This stay was no different. The staff is friendly and helpful. The GM checked me out when I was departing and was having problems getting my receipt to print. He very kindly took my email address and emailed it to me later in the day. As a female, traveling alone, I always felt safe at this hotel. There is a good Continental breakfast offered. Its closes to shopping and restaurants, with quick access to the Interstate. My only complaints would be the bed is a little stiff for my bad back and while the bathroom was clean, it needed a good deep cleaning to get rid of built up dust. Otherwise, I would stay here again when Im in Columbus.

2022-06-19We arrived after 11pm and the front desk associate was helpful and friendly. The parking lot was full, and he was able to recommend a place to park. The hotel could definitely use more parking space. The room was also very clean. We did not have a shower curtain, but we tried our best to keep water off the floor and wiped up any excess water with extra towels. The beds were really comfortable, and we loved the breakfast. You cant go wrong with waffles! The breakfast attendant was extremely friendly, too. I highly recommend this hotel.

2022-04-17This hotel is in a good location but that is about it. The cover of the a/c unit was hanging on with a piece of tape, the shower head was coming out of the wall and when I stepped in to take a shower there were nine hairs in various parts of the shower that were not mine. There is no way it had been cleaned. If Im going to pay $60 or $70, I might expect that but I paid well over $100.00 not worth it.

2022-03-21Candy! Her name describes her perfect! Super sweet! Best check in experience ever! Candy needs a raise! She made us feel right at home! She even told us about Magic mountain lol anyways we had a wonderful stay. Beds were comfy, room could have been vacuumed bc there was stuff on the floor but other than that, our stay was great. There needs to be a candy at every hotel!

2022-06-07Positive: This was our first hotel post-covid real breakfast and they pulled out all the stops. Everything was super fresh and plentiful, and a variety to suit any appetite. Negative: No complaints

2022-02-22Positive: Location. Also staff was very helpful when we had an issue with the plumbing in our room. Negative: Bathroom shower area is small and there is no place to hang wet towels. Coffee machine at breakfast does not make good coffee.

2022-04-12Positive: The staff were friendly and making do with what seemed limited resources. The common areas and the room were very clean. Negative: It was under construction and so many of the parking spaces were taken up by large dumpsters. One of those dumpsters was right outside my room and I could hear things being tossed in. The hallways smelled like a construction site as well.

2022-04-12The front desk people very nice. the parking is very limited, the coffee is bad. if you want something ask for it like clean towels, trash out of your room.... cause they are not coming and checking to see if you need anything. Make sure your refrigerator is on.
