ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. was up till 3:30 in the morning because of the people next to us, even complained to the front desk but still heard banging && screaming after they were told to quiet down. not to mention when we first got there, there was a couple arguing in the lobby and screaming at eachother down our hallway. pillows absolutely sucked, beds were uncomfortable, sink was cracked, bath tub was dirty, plug in outlets didn’t work, cigarette butts in the drawer, moldy diaper smell, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
If youre not into atmosphere and aesthetics this hotel is fine for the money. I judge mainly on comfort of mattresses and these were very comfortable. The place is outdated. Room furniture is worn and even the toilets are very old. But again, everything worked and the beds were comfortable. Be careful choosing a room. Im used to rooms with 2 queens or 1 king. The room I chose had 2 full beds. I didnt know that was possible anymore and I travel often for work.
Beds were very comfortable, and a decent height which most are too high. Room appeared clean, but sink needs serious work...spigot is corroded and you couldnt shut the water off. Water is almost too hot, especially if you have small children. Need more walk in showers, and handicapped rooms....(and why would you have a handicapped room with a bathtub?!!) This is a problem in most hotels/motels. Other than that, visit was fine.
Would like to see more ramp accessibility for the many handicap spots that are provided. We have a side ramp on our vehicle and due to the curbing, we were not able to put our ramp down onto the sidewalk. Inside access in lobby was fine. Would like to see more access and room for my scooter in the room.
I frequently stay at this hotel when traveling to work in Canton, OH. I understand that all properties age, but to see plainly obvious staining (looked like bodily fluids) on the couch and coverlet was a real turn-off. A sign that nobody cares about the appearance and cleanliness of the rooms. Please, have your housekeeping staff and housekeeping manager report these things to management, and get rid of those items that cant be cleaned.
The owner is pompous and arrogant. Once I told him I was a Choice Privileges member he began to chastise me and treated me like crap. He never once thanked me for being a Choice Privileges member and really made it sound like I would get better service if I was not. He told me that I made the reservation wrong and I would not get any award points for the stay. The reservation was made by my employer so I can keep working and dont have to spend time booking Hotels. I was so humiliated after check in that I went to my room and cried. If this is how I am going to be treated, I will tell my employer to stop using Choice Hotels
The outside breezeway looked like it was falling down. Aluminum siding was buckling. There grounds were unkempt and it looked as if it was recently abandoned. I honestly was going to cancel the reservation and go elsewhere. There were multiple hotels in the area that were cleaner, brighter and better staffed. I was going to stay three nights but based on the lack of customer service, sordid conditions of the entire compound and dank lighting, I moved on to the hotel across the street.
Okay, tbh I was going to put 2 stars but this morning I saw a worker walked in with a cigarette in her mouth. We got in last night and our first room smelled like cigarettes and we had to switch rooms. In our second room, it smelt better and saw that the smoke alarm had a plastic wrapped around it! Do not highly recommend staying here.
Friendly staff, but both my and my aunts rooms were disgusting! Her sheets were dirty and not clean as mine were too. We also had earwigs all over the wall, broken glass in the corner and crumbs all over the floor. I’ve never been so grossed out to stay somewhere. The only thing good I could say is the staff at the front desk were very kind about coming up and changing the sheets and vacuuming the room promptly after I called.
Our room was filthy and the carpet was damp and the room smelled like mildew. We let the front desk know and they sent their maintenance person to look at it and he argued with my husband and I that the carpet was not damp. I wore white socks around the room and the bottom was almost black and they also were damp.We will never stay at this hotel in Canton, Ohio nor we will ever stay at another Comfort Inn. For over $800 for a 3 night stay, I expect much more. Think twice before booking a room here.
First is there is no password for the internet so its accessible to anyone. I got an email from Kohls saying they locked my account because of someone trying to log on and it wasnt me!! They also dont tell you that you have to ask the desk for breakfast when you check in only saying its available from 6 to 9. In the morning even though the staff could see people looking for breakfast they never said a word or had a sign up so people thought they ran out of food. We only got coffee and juice for the first 2 days. The staff also seems cranky most of the time. The room was clean and everything worked so that was good. I havent checked out yet so Im worried what else will pop up especially with someone trying to get on to my accounts! I do know that I am not coming back if I come to Canton again.
The hotel itself is on a hilltop surrounded by several other hotels and is within 2-3 miles of the Hall of Fame. Our room was spacious with two double beds, TV and a refrigerator. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only complaint and it isnt really a complaint, I would have liked to have had better choices on the breakfast room. The food that they did have was good.
Our stay at this hotel was an excellent and enjoyable time, the room was spectacular, the bed was extremely soft and comfortable, the pillows and blankets were fluffy and warm. The restroom was a touch small but definitely pleasant to use. The shower was very comfortable but be careful about the water temperature because it was a bit too hot. Breakfast was above average and delicious, except for the Apple juice which was tasteless. The hotel staff was very friendly. The location was good. I would say we really enjoyed our stay.
I have stayed at this location many times in the last 5 years, and 99% of the time I am satisfied with the stay The rooms are clean (Though recently I had a stay where the sheets were so thin they looked to be about 100 years old). The breakfast is good and consistent, and the location is perfect for my purposes. It will soon be time for some upgrades to the public areas like the hallways and dining, food serving spaces.
The hotel was clean but dated. Breakfast was very good. The pool was clean and refreshing. The bathroom was clean too however, the caulk around the tub was very heavy. No USB charging ports in the room. I would think every hotel would have those nowadays so people wouldnt have to pack charging bricks. Really, aside from my own small picky items, it is a nice stay.
This is a very nice hotel. The price was great. We can now afford a 2nd trip to the area later this year and we will be staying at this hotel again. My only complaint is the height of the toilet. Im 54 and felt like I was sitting on the floor (imagine my poor 61 husband). I wish they would go back to regular height toilets.
The Canton Comfort Inn HOF is outstanding. In a safe and secure neighborhood and was very clean. The bed was clean with 4 different pillows for each different firmness. The bathroom was clean and had new fixtures. Water got hot fast and shower water pressure was terrific.
My family and I came up from NC for a wedding and for a Steubenville HS playoff game in Aurora. As a Choice Hotels Employee from the south, I know a thing or two about what guests expect when traveling and this place definitely exceeds all expectations- especially when you consider PRICE and VALUE for money. The front desk Associates at check in and checkout were both very helpful and friendly. However, the breakfast staff at this hotel made my Stay most comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was very clean and the property is 3 minutes off the highway- just minutes from everything from fancy restaurants, hole-in-the-wall bars and major shopping centers. For under $100 a night, you WILL NOT beat this anywhere in Canton.
Room was okay but very outdated.I stayed here 10 years ago when I got married and it has not changed the stairways were filthy. Pool was great but there were no towels available and when I asked for towels they said they would get them and never did. I just felt like it could’ve been a cleaner facility.
This hotel definitely needs updated to accomodate everyone. the bathrooms are in need of a major overhaul, as the facilities are very low to the floor. Not good for taller people or people with mobility issues. The room overall was good size, fairly comfortable, and is in a great location.
The location and quietness was great. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean but I would have like a little more water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was lacking and the one in charge of the breakfast was not attentive. She had to be told that there were no coffee cups. The biscuits did not appear to be fresh and some of the hot food was cold. Not sure were the outside smoking is, but is must not be the proper distance from the rear door since smoke was entering the building.
We arrived on a Friday night at 10pm, with our dog. We chose this hotel, because they were pet friendly. Upon checking in, they didn’t have my reservation, but fortunately had a room available. After we got in the room and unpacked, our dog found an uneaten chicken wing under the nightstand, for which I had to pry out of his mouth, so he didn’t choke. In addition, we found a chapstick and a chain under the bed. Clearly, the room hadn’t been vacuumed! When I went to the front desk and brought them the items we found, they offered to put us in another room, but we declined, as we had already unpacked and were going to be checking out at 8am anyway. The desk clerk told me that she wasn’t allowed to offer any discounts but gave me the Manager’s business card and told us to call back the next day. When I spoke with the Manager, he wasn’t apologetic and told me he wasn’t going to refund any of my money because they offered to put us in another room, but we declined. He was EXTREMELY RUDE and not in the least bit accommodating!
Positive: The location. Negative: The check in time was 3, when we arrived at 6 pm after driving 5 hours in the car we expected our room to be ready upon arrival. It was not ready. The room was being cleaned. We had to wait which was very disappointing and inconvenient.
This hotel accepts pets - not just service animals. I travel with two household cats in a yearly trip from one coast to another and back. Delighted to have a Comfort Inn that accepts cats and is clean and affordable. The beds are extremely comfortable. Bathroom and bed linens are comfortable and generous. Wi-fi works. Front desk personnel are friendly. Parking is easy and secure. Location to major highways is convenient. The breakfast is good with both hot and cold items. It is quiet. There is a pet charge but for the overall price it is a great value. I have stayed here several times on my cross country trips and intend to return.
The hotel stay from start to finish was exceptional! When I was researching there are a few hotels in this area and I kept going back to the Comfort Inn so happy I did. The front desk staff very helpful and always with a smile. The other staff we met in the Breakfast room very friendly great to see happy employees! Shopping and restaurants close by and of course the Football Hall of Fame. I have worked in the Travel Industry for 20+ years and am used to compromise but this hotel is Fantastic!
Lets start with security. All entrance and exit doors seemed to be secured and in working order, parking lot was open with no bushes or high shrubs and was well lit. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. Hotel lobby and lounge area was clean and kept. Elevator was in good shape along with stairwells and hallways which were clean and well marked. Pool was clean and well maintained, even had pool towels waiting for you at the pool. Each floor had ice and vending machines. The breakfast was great and the staff kept it well supplied and the area clean. Rooms were clean and seemed well serviced. The only negative comment would be that one could smell a slight cigarette odor in our room but it was not bad enough to cause a problem. Bathrooms were also clean and in well kept state. They have a laundry service but it would be nice if there was washing machines for guest to use. Overall one of the best I have stayed at.
This is one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed in. They keep all the common areas and your room very clean. Ive been staying here for over a week and I have ZERO complaints! The staff is also very friendly. The breakfast is decent size with plenty of choices. The bedding and towels were changed daily. I stayed here working in the oilfield for long days and to be able to come back to a clean room and clean bathroom every night was great. The price also progressively gets cheaper the longer you stay. If I ever come back to this town I will be staying here again. If you want a nice room for a reasonable price then this is your place.
Our stay was A++++++ It was nice having a luggage cart to take our stuff to our room which was nice and clean. Great layout in the room and placement of restroom and sink area. Breakfast was great for the whole family. There was sausage and fresh scrambled eggs as well as an assortment of bread items including bagels and muffins and fresh fruit and much more. Check in was awesome we got there an hour early and our room was already ready and we were able to check in. Check oit was a breeze...the staff was very friendly. The price was awesome. We booked online and paid ahead to get a great deal. Will definitely stay here again when we visit family.. If you are looking in the Canton Ohio area definitely would recommend this hotel.
The staff was topnotch, warm, and friendly. The hotel was very inviting and our room was neat and clean and a great deal for the money. The checking in and out went smoothly and the family was able to settle in quickly after a long drive and a very late arrival. While we only stayed for one night, I sensed that this hotel is popular with families with children. You will surely enjoy your stay.
The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are nice and space is adequate. The king rooms all have refrigerator and microwave. The staff was very helpful and handled everything I needed. The only complaint I have is that the second floor had recently had a fire and the room was boarded off but the hallway still smelled like smoke. My favorite part of this place is the Staircase in the lobby. Ive always loved a nice spiral staircase.
The hotel was clean and smelled good. After our 1st of 2 nights, we left our room for over 8 hours and returned to find our room was not cleaned. We reported it to the front desk, yet no one came. 7 oclock that night, I had to stop someone in order to get clean towels. Our bed kept coming off the frame which left a sharp metal piece sticking out. Also, the 1st morning we reported the in room coffee maker did not work. This was never replaced even though we reported it a total of 3 times. We still had another 4 days on the road and chose not to stay with any choice hotels as we were so disappointed.
Had stayed here before and liked it, but this time, because we had a small dog with us they put us in what was clearly a substandard room. We do not mind paying an extra fee for our dog, but we expect to still get a decent room. The poor condition of the room was not due to housekeeping issues; hotel owner obviously has not kept this room up. It needed repainting and new furniture and better towels. Hotel should give us a refund.
The overall hotel was good except for the fact we were forced to evacuate the room early because of a malfunction in the hotels sprinkler system. We were unable to take showers before we checked out.The night clerk was great. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The room had a slight musty smell to it. I felt bad for the morning manager who had to deal with the water problem. She tried her best to help people.
I was very pleased with the hotels appearance and cleanliness of our room. You could tell it was updated to meet the needs of todays travelers. The amenities were comparable to other hotels. The free breakfast choices were above average than most and wasnt limited to just a few items. We only stayed one night and it was off-season for the outside pool, but the pool looked clean and nicely kept.
I have stayed an other Comfort Inns, but is was one of the older hotels. There were plenty of updates and everything was clean as usual. My first reaction to my room was a bit disappointing...not sure why though. My room was oversized for a double bed. Maybe it was originally a room for a king size bed or two queen sizes. It definitely was used for something else in previous years. Although the room was right next to the elevator and the stairwell, it worked for my needs. As I look back I realize that room and price was perfect for what I needed.
When we first arrived on Saturday, the personnel at the front desk were welcoming with smiles. However, on Sunday, after being gone close to 7 hours, we returned to our room, only to discover the room had not been cleaned. We walked by the two housekeepers in the hallway while they were standing next to the cleaning cart having a conversation. We entered our room at 5:04PM to rest, and then within 5 minutes there was a knock on our door to clean our room. My husband asked for fresh towels. We did speak to someone at the front desk who informed us that they were short on help. It is a shame because the breakfast was good and the people nice and friendly.
The lobby and all other areas of the hotel are clean. The room was clean. Beds comfortable. (Do not recommend a roll out bed as the one we paid to use had wires sticking up through the mattress, we didnt even use it but paid for it) The breakfast was decent. The only thing I didnt like was that their is no washer and dryer for hotel guests use so we had to go to a local laundry facility to do a load of laundry. The price you pay to stay here is well worth it.
This hotel is a bit difficult to drive to, but it is a very nice hotel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The WiFi worked and there were enough available outlets to charge our electronics. We checked out before breakfast because we had a plane to catch, so I cant comment on that.By the way, this hotel is only four miles from the Akron Canton airport. There are closer hotels. but they are twice the price. My only negative was the check-in experience. The very attractive lady working the desk was not friendly, did not recognize me as an elite gold choice privileges member, and was rather argumentative when I followed the instructions on the credit card reader and removed my card from the chip reader when the display said Remove Card. She told me, NO, leave your card in until I tell you to remove it! Anyway, we finally got past that, got our room and everything else was fine.Well probably stay again since its the nicest hotel at a reasonable price close to the CAK airport.
It was a Comfort Inn so we werent expecting much but we needed a place to rest in the middle of a really long drive. We were very surprised. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were updated, the breakfast was hot and delicious, the staff was extremely friendly. It isnt anything you would expect when you think of a Comfort Inn. We would definitely stay there again.
Worst hotel experience of my life. Reserved a room for 3 nights online and checked into a room that still had food and trash on the floor and even a spoon in the bed. A bug ran behind the picture hanging on the wall as we walked in. There was no fridge or microwave despite being advertised on the website - was told one was sent up but it never arrived. The lady at the front desk had to bring sheets up herself and cleaned our dirty room because she couldnt find any other staff to do it. She was very nice and apologized saying she would find out who had cleaned the room and give us a discount for the mess. The water was shut off during the daytime hours for one of the days. There was a sketchy guy hanging in the parking lot every time we went out to our car. The front desk was notified but he was still lurking in the parking lot when we checked out, which was early, due to the fire alarm going off every 30 seconds for hours beginning at 4am. No one knew what was going on and people were being told there may be a fire on the third floor, which we were later told was a leak in the sprinkler system. We asked for a refund and checked out, and a few days later the charge was removed from our bank statement, only to reappear yesterday. Spend the extra money, save yourself s headache and avoid this hotel like the plague.
The rate I received by advance booking through ChoiceHotels.com membership was very good. The hotel was clean, but the king bed needed a new mattress. The TV in the room was nice, but the cable channels available were somewhat limited. I would especially like to see the Golf Channel included. The location was good in that it was close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel provided a free hot breakfast, and that was one of the high points of the amenities provided free of charge to occupants. The hotel was in the process of upgrading carpets and other stuff, so there were two dumpsters out back with old carpets, etc. in them, and this took away from any beauty of the exterior in back. It was too cold to use the pool, so no comment there.
My wife and I stay a Choice Hotel whenever possible. Hotels are clean, breakfast food is always fresh and very good. This Comfort Inn-Hall of Fame hotel was no different. Accommodations were very good, room wasclean and comfortable and bathroom was impressive. We had a restful nights sleep, no noise! Breakfastwas very good and we had all we wanted to eat. The young lady in charge of the breakfast area was friendly and kept the area clean and well stocked. For the price, a very good place to stay. We will visit again!
We enjoy staying here, because of its location. It does need updated. A refrigerator needs to be requested if you need one. Bathrooms need updated (comfort height toilets, walk-in showers, grab bars, etc.) Cleanliness was appreciated. could use more comfortable seating in room. We will stay here again. Great for short stays!
The hotel room was clean but had an odor, nothing a few candles couldnt fix. The wifi was pretty fast on my phone but I wouldnt work on my computer for some reason. And there was an AC outlet in the parking lot that I plugged my EV car into to charge overnight. The full breakfast was good too.
Clean and comfortable- a very nice value. Room was as expected... may need a little updating, but was nice enough. Temperature of AC was good; Bed was comfortable. Neighbors had some sort of argument at 3am; somebody made a loud and door slamming exit. Other than that; our stay was delightfully. Breakfast in AM was very good.
We love this place!! We have stayed there so often they are like family to us. The manager is out there working the front desk right along with his employees when they are extremely busy. Our room is always clean and fresh. The gals that work the breakfast are amazing. Running, wiping, refilling and always kind and friendly. I forgot something once, called and they not only had it, they mailed it to me. Just the best people work here.
Pros: the room was great, check in and out was fast and easy, the people at the front desk were very nice, and the breakfast was pretty good.Cons: Housekeeping didnt clean my room during our stay. Perhaps we just left a little too late in the day (10-10:30 AM) for them to have time to clean? The wi-fi was slow and I had to log in each time I wanted to use it on my phone.
Stayed here for two nights while attending a conference in the area. The group rate was very good and the hotel was a great place to stay. The location is nearly perfect. Our room had just recently been remodeled and we nice. My only real complaint was the small size of the breakfast room for the amount of rooms in the hotel. One waffle maker for that many people isnt even practical. Overall our stay was good and we hope to be back next year.
As soon as my daughter and I entered the lobby we were greeted by the person at the front desk. Our room was ready as promised and it was neat and clean. The hotel is located near a great eating and shopping district. A hot or cold breakfast was included in hotel accommodations.
Great location, close to shopping and good food. We were traveling with our two dogs and this stop was excellent. Lots of places to walk the dogs and we were on the ground floor making it easy for doggie breaks. Very comfortable bed and quiet at night. Will definitely stay here again.
We had a great experience staying at Comfort Inn-Hall of Fame for two nights, returned home today. Rooms and common areas very clean. The free hot breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a lot of options. Staff was professional and courteous. Jim the manager was great!Nonexistent water pressure in the shower, but thats all too common in hotels these days. Plenty of hot water though.
I booked the room via the internet online. Upon arrival, their was a client in front of me that was very rude. The young lady at the desk deflected her antagonism and continued to process her reservation in a professional; manner. My compliment to the check in staff. My roommate wanted to pay for one day of the three day stay. Upon checking out, the staff redid my bill and added the new bill quickly and efficiently. Both parties left satisfied. Lastly, the hotel is centrally located to a variety of eating establishment and many shopping experiences. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone desiring the amenities of a higher priced hotel at a competitive rate!
This is a very nice Comfort Inn. The rooms are clean, and the furnishings have recently been updated. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is always clean and well cared for. There is plenty of variety, and the food/beverages are always well stocked, even when there are a lot of people eating at one time. We stay here twice a year, and it feels like a home away from home.
From the time of checkin to departure the stay was perfect. I was sick at checkin so was offered Ginger Ale from clerk and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. That made a rough evening more pleasant. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast in the AM was plentiful and well presented. It made a unpleasant experience of being ill so much better. Thank you for taking care of business so well.
Hotel was good, staff were friendly and attentive to my needs. The breakfast was limited and was not as good as other Comfort Inn locations we have stayed at, however, overall everything was fine. The pool was located outdoors, rather than indoors which is not as nice. Enjoyed the location and check-in and out was easy.
This hotel is close to the highway, yet secluded,so it was very quiet. Got a nice welcome when we arrived.Clean rooms. We were supposed to have a microwave & fridge, but this room did not. I do believe had we asked we would have gotten one,but we really didnt need it.Delicious breakfast
I was in Akron for business and opted for the Canton location based on reviews of the property. I wasnt disappointed. The room was very clean, the AC worked well, and staff was very friendly. My bed was comfortable and important to me...the lighting in the bathroom was wonderful. So many places I stay I feel like Im getting ready in the dark. The hotel was also conveniently located near a mall and numerous restaurants. If my travels bring me back to the Akron area I will certainly chose this hotel again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Easy check-in, clean room, very clean bathroom, fast Internet connection, courteous, pleasant personnel. My only complaint is that the bed was too soft, which didnt help my chronically bad back. Thats hardly the hotels fault. I wanted a clean, safe room to grab some sleep before my business at the hotel the next morning, and I got exactly that.
The hotel is in a good location if you want to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We also went to Cleveland as it was only about an hour from there too. The breakfast was pretty good. I didnt use the pool, but it looked nice. There is also a small fitness room that was never croweded. The staff member that checked us out was very friendly. The rooms were decent, though I was surprised to have two small beds instead of one bed for my husband and I.
The hotel lobby is a little dated but the rooms are updated and very comfortable. The breakfast is good, pretty typical hotel breakfast. The service though was great! We had several family members staying at the same time and the staff made sure we were all on the same floor.
First of all, the hotel was easy to find and there were lots of places nearby to get a meal.Overall, this is one of the best value hotels Ive stayed at! The lobby was nice and there was coffee and newspapers available. The room was comfortable and the window actually opened! It was nice to have an exhaust fan and heat lamp in the bathroom; it seems to be a rarity, at least in my experience. Also, it was nice to have the sink separate from the toilet and bath.Only two minor qualms. The bedding felt almost like there was a rubber sheet on the mattress. That was weird. And there did not seem to be an easily accessible entrance for guests in wheelchairs (and for guests loaded down with baggage). There were ramps, but no automatic doors.
Comfort Inn is up on hill with 4 other hotel chains. Quiet location even though right off I-77. Amenities are good although we did not visit the pool area. My one compliant is about my reservation that was for 1 Queen bed with sofa sleeper, larger room. It was the smallest queen bed weve ever seen! I believe it was truly a double bed with large backboard. The room was no larger than one with 2 dbl/queen beds. We do like having microwave & fridge in room even though we did not use them for this one reward points night. Oh yeah, we like the sink being outside of the toilet/bath tub area.
Our online based quilting group stays at this hotel each year for our annual GTG retreat. It is conveniently located just off the interstate for us that drive and within half hour of the airport for those that fly in. We reserve the conference room that the staff does a great job setting up for us. The staff in the breakfast room works hard to keep selections stocked and well presented, the housekeeping is thorough and pleasant, and the front desk staff is great with recommendations for nearby restaurants and even walking trails. Between the hotel itself and the central location surrounded by dozens of restaurants, a Super JoAnns and a variety of small quilt stores we simply can not find a better option to meet our needs. We especially appreciate the remodeled and enlarged breakfast area and the addition of larger refrigerators/microwaves in the rooms.
This place is cheap for a reason. The room didnt seem freshly cleaned, bed was rumbled and not properly made. Their business center is an ancient computer that crashes when it isnt running infuriatingly slow. The fitness center needs an update as well. Its just run down and needs some TLC. I was glad for somewhat of a view though.
My stay at this hotel was AWESOME! From check - in to check - out....I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. There is NOT one thing I would recommend to get changed. Room was CLEAN, Bathroom was CLEAN, beds were CLEAN. Quiet at night. Breakfast...I think this food was 10 times better than anything I could have ate from McDonalds! Thank You and the crew for a wonderful experience. Thank You! Please, Please, Please share this review with your staff, let them know what a wonderful job they are doing. I will be back and I will recommend this hotel.
First time staying at this Comfort Inn. At first glance, it appears to be both appealing and inviting, especially after a long day of travelling. Front Desk staff were nice and easy to work with. Was quickly checked in which is great. After arriving to my room and a quick inspections showed a few minor issues. The shower head needed some cleaning, the metal cover at the end of the shower head was loose and revealing the hole behind it.The cover on the ironing board needed to be replaced as it appeared that coffee or some other dark substance was spilled on it. The AC had a hard time circulating air into the room. The desk chair, if you lean back too far, would automatically lower itself for some reason.Besides those minor details, everything else was great. The bed was confortable and the room was just the right size. Breakfast could use some work though, as it felt like I was eating hot yet not so tasty food.
The overnight experience at Comfort Inn has been plucked. The rum is attractive, clean and comfortable. It is also close to the Hall of Fame as well as to many eating and shopping places. The only disappointment has been competing for breakfast this morning with the number of occupants at the hotel. We eventually left and had breakfast elsewhere. I would gladly recommended it to anyone.
The hall of fame Comfort Inn is an outstanding hotel. I stay at approx 260 to 300 hotel rooms a year and this one is excellent. Everything is clean and neat, and the elevator is smooth and quiet. Coffee in the lobby has always been hot and fresh no matter the time. Breakfast is really good, with a variety of hot and cold foods. Bed and pillows are comfortable and neat and clean.
We liked our overnight stay. Though a slightly older place, it was clean, neat & updated. The manager had gone out of his way to provide a gluten-free breakfast option for my wife (waffles & cereal). We had merely asked the question when booking on line. It certainly shows that the staff will go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable.
The test, as they say, is how company staff respond when you, as the customer, are having an issue or negative experience. How well are they trained, motivated, and has staff been given enough authority to make things happen when you need help? Well, in the case of this Comfort Inn location, Id give them a 10 out of 10 on all those points. We checked-in, went to our room to find it damp and hot even though the a/c was on and running. We immediately alerted front desk staff and they had a repair service in our room installing a brand new a/c within 20 minutes! amazing! - Cool and Comfortable
Staff was nice. Clean rooms. Nice pool area. However the beds are so uncomfortable. Kids nor my husband and I got any sleep. You could feel the springs and we were all sore the next day. Also there is no laundry area. We were there for a football camp for my son and needed to wash his camp uniform. I had to wash them in the sink and hang them above the air conditioner.
Absolutely loved my week long stay there! Wi-Fi connection is awesome, staff is super awesome, nice, and helpful! Had a group of rowdy children there for 2 days and they had a habit of running around on my floor knocking on doors and making messes in the hallways but the staff members handled them very kindly but firmly enough to get them to stop. The same staff member got them to get off the computer after being on it all day so I can use it for important business emails!Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely the BEST! Facilities always clean and fresh. Hotel staff above reproach! So kind and friendly. We have been staying at the Comfort Inn - Canton for at least fifteen years. They must be doing something right because we see familiar faces every time we go. Cant imagine staying anywhere else. The staff is like family.
We came to Canton, OH to specifically go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Since were Choice Hotels members, naturally we chose this Comfort Inn! We were allowed to check in an hour early. The room was very nice. Had a bit of an odd smell, but then we figured the hotel was older. We are big on exercising and felt the gym area was really nice; had free weights which was a first! Breakfast was great too as always! They only have an outdoor pool though, so if you go in the winter, you obviously wont be able to enjoy that.
I stayed here, based on the reviews. Ill never listen to reviews again. This hotel is older. The first room we were placed in smelled really bad. The was NO microwave, or refrigerator in the room. So disregard if it says they have one, we were told not everyone has one, when we asked for one, there wasnt one available. We had to take our food to where you eat breakfast to heat it up. There was something on the floor by the trash can, not sure what. The furniture looked old and well worn. We were in our room for less than a hour, and we heard a dog barking. The floor below us had a dog that the owner left in the room alone. Apparently there are No rules about leaving animals unattended. We end up asking to be moved. The hotel staff at this time, acted like this happens all the time. She wasnt the most friendly staff. The towels were ruff. The bathtub looked like it saw better days, the tub felt like it was going to go through the floor. Our third night a group of guys were outside drinking and smoke right by the door we had to go in. Here the put a rock by the security door so they wouldnt have to open with key card, which isnt very safe for other people staying at hotel. The maid staff did great cleaning, and the food wasnt to bad. The is coffee and water in lobby, however coffee isnt always there. If they hadnt already taken my money for the whole week, we would have seeked another hotel.
This hotel has been newly renovated, giving it an almost brand new appearance. The rooms are spacious, providing a nice touch with soft and firm pillows. The breakfast is OK, with a couple of hot items, but not great. For the money, this hotel offers a much better value than other leading hotel chains.
Nice bedding and pillows. Bed a bit soft for me but my daughter loved it. Good breakfast (powdered eggs though!). Had some issues with the sound on our tv, but honestly didnt complain about it so they probably would have handled it if need be. I would definitely stay there again. Was a good value.
This is our 2nd time staying at this Comfort Inn. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel is clean. We selected the pre-pay non refundable rate and it was very affordable. It is very close to many restaurants and shopping centers. It is also about one mile from the Football Hall of Fame. The coffee was pretty good and is available at any time. There is also a nice breakfast area with a nice variety.
Recently stayed for Hall of Fame Marathon weekend. Discovered room did not have refrigerator so we checked in at the desk to see if one was available. Melinda explained not all rooms come with mini fridges, however she was able to relocate us. Our room was clean and quiet. Great customer service is the reason we stay here each year. See yall next year!
The hotel was easy to check-in and out of, sufficiently clean, and most-importantly, quiet (for the most part). Beds were fine and other than the ubiquitous leaky faucet in the shower (I apparently always end up with a room with a leaky shower) the bathroom was fine as well. The staff was professional and the breakfast was great (avoid the gravy though). The wi-fi was lackluster though but Ive come to expect this from just about any hotel unless they have an on-site (or close-by) IT guru. I still wish the rooms had cabled network available.
The staff and housekeeping were courteous. The room was very nice. The internet was a little slow and could not print our boarding passes on hotel computer as it wouldnt boot up even with help from maintenance. I am handicapped and I could not access handicapped parking without passing through cigarette smoke at the hotel main entrance from employees and guest smokers.
Hotel as very clean and considering their were so many teams that stayed there, they did an excellent job with keeping up with everything. The only thing that I didnt like was the face that our beds were suppose to be Queen beds and they were more like a full/ twin, making our stay a little uncomfortable. Overall everything was great and would recommend this hotel.
Service was great. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Breakfast was standard fair in clean environment and fully stocked. However: There are very few rooms with microwaves or refrigerators. Exercise equipped was well worn and needed maintenance. Temperature control turned off in room overnight and was stuffy on humid days.... Overall value for price is good.
Overall, my stay was good. On the outside & in the lobby, it was outdated & I suspected what type of condition Id find my room. My room was well-appointed & looked well. My issue was with the bathroom, where there were some mildew spots & it looked outdated. The staff was helpful & friendly.Im glad I had a discounted rated due to being there for my sisters college graduation. I would not have been happy to pay the regular rate.
First of all, the Hall of Fame is 10-15 minutes from the hotel, so you will be mislead if you are from out of town and don’t know the area. The room is fairly nothing, nothing special. The condition of the hotel is poor. They need to either get rid of the disgusting carpet, or clean it altogether. Complimentary breakfast was nice. For the price, I would most likely seek out a different hotel. Seeing filth makes yourself feel dirty.
From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, this was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. We were there for a family wedding and the majority of family stayed there. The room was clean, well appointed. The only problem I could find fault with was one of the pillow cases was dirty and not changed. It still had make-up on it from a previous guest. This hotel was seemingly full, but you would never know it, it was so quiet. If we come back to Canton, we will most certainly stay here.
Paid a lot of money for a room with a toilet that didnt work. Reported the problem the night we checked in and the following morning. After a long day at HOF activities we come back to room at 1:30 am to find out toilet still not working. Called front desk and NO maintenance on duty to fix. I was offered a plunger by the front desk to fix the problem. Wait, Im paying hotel tons of money for me to fix the toilet, besides a plunger was not going to fix the problem. It wasnt a plugged toilet it had more serious problems. Since the toilet couldnt be fixed that night we were given the option to move to first floor. Yep, just what we wanted to do at 1:30 in the morning was move all our stuff from 3rd floor to 1st floor. The toilet never got fixed so they moved us the two days later to another room. We get to our new room and it smelled of smoke. Yep, a non-smoking hotel and the room had a terrible smell of cigarette smoke. You know that smell of someone that smoked in a room for years. The manager on duty was less than helpful. It took everything for the manager to apologize but eventually did. Sure we got some credit for the inconvenience but it wasnt offered to us we had to beg for credit. The staff was annoyed with guests who were happy to be in town for HOF enshrinement events. Sure didnt give a welcoming experience. Just so annoyed by this hotel.
Hotel smelled wierd and was hot. No fridge in room. Room looked dingy and has musty smell. Wifi kept booting me off. Toilet was clogged upon arrival with no apology. No pool towels both days. 3 of us in room. One queen with pullout sofa, had to ask for bedding. Didnt sleep well, pillows werent great. Some staff were friendly and attentive.
Located a short distance from interstate in a quiet area and close to many fine restaurants and shopping. Nice lobby and breakfast area. Supposed to be close to NFL Hall of Fame, but front desk gave us wrong directions and had to stop and get directions. Hot breakfast was adequate and typical for Comfort Inns. Their computer is old and should be replaced. Overall experience was very good and would stay again.
We stayed for 2 nights to visit the HOF. Hotel is located on a hill, away from the traffic and noise which was nice. The location was convenient for our needs, near stores, restaurants, gas stations etc. I book hotels based on location, pool and breakfast usually. This one had all 3. At the time of our stay the pool door lock broke so we needed extra help to be able to get into the pool area. Slight inconvenience, nothing major. Key cards were a pain, they had to be re set about 4 or 5 times in our 2 night stay. Every time we came back to the hotel we had to stop at the front desk because our keys wouldnt work at the side entrance. Hotel clerk actually told me thats a known problem. I hope they get it fixed. The rooms are pretty basic/standard. No complaints there. I wish the TV was a little bigger & up a little higher, but thats a personal preference. Breakfast area was a bit crowded- most things were located in a corner which made it difficult to get around people, but not a huge deal if you were not in a hurry. I tried to let the teams eat before me, they had a schedule to maintain. Also, the fitness center was a treadmill, a recumbent bike and a few free weights. It was fine until a 2nd person came in to use the treadmill... talk about awkward. I was thankful it was there but wished it was a bit bigger.
This might have been the best hotel experience Ive ever had, and I travel a lot on business.Melinda at the front desk was outstanding. Our project here in Canton ran longer than expected, so I needed to stay beyond my original planned departure date. She found me a room for that night, even though the hotel was booked up for the weekend. Then she was able to accommodate me for an extra four days. I had booked a room at another hotel when told the Comfort Inn was full.. When I tried to cancel it in order to continue to stay at the Comfort Inn, I found I had made a non refundable booking by mistake. After several calls got me no where, I went back to the desk and asked Melinda for help. She called the other hotel and got them to cancel the reservation and refund my money. Awesome service, above and beyond what was expected. I am back here for another three weeks, and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else.
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered the lobby! The staff was wonderful about dining suggestions and helping us find other needed stores. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast offerings are excellent and well presented. This staff clearly takes pride in this Comfort Inn! If you are in Canton, Ohio to visit the NFL Hall of Fame, this is an excellent choice for your stay.
Comfort Inn Hall of Fame is nice place for the money. Its not new but the staff does work for your best stay at all times. Does need some updating but I look at it Im there for a good nights sleep and a shower not to make it my home. But with that being said I feel comftable with the location and the staff.
Very nice stay. I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast. That comes in handy when traveling. The rooms were very clean and nice. The bedding was excellent and felt brand new - Pillows were very comfy. I was very happy with the high quality and reasonable pricing.
The Comfort Inn Hall of Fame is our go-to hotel in the Canton area. It has always provided us high quality rooms at a lower rate than other area hotels of similar quality. The most important quality for us has been the treatment that we have received from each and every employee. It has been nothing but the best!
Nice hotel and the front desk agent was friendly BUT I arrived in the evening to find out my room (WITH a reservation) had been given away! Hotel was booked solid & I was informed they switched me to a room type I hadnt reserved. No choice but to take it or sleep in my car. Was told entire area was booked due to Hall of Fame events. My new room didnt have a fridge or microwave. The one I booked did. I had food and beverages with me. In addition to my spoiling food, there was a HUGE stink bug on my ceiling. Unfortunately, the front desk didnt have bug spray so the agent sprayed him with cleaning solution. She got him which I appreciated but then the room smelled of cleaner...and not a lemon scent either. The front desk offered a discount on the room but I opted for rewards points instead. Apparently a big mistake! I was supposed to receive 15k points for my inconvenience. This was on 8/5. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM and it is now 8/28!The next morning, the front desk manager, Melinda, apologized and said she switched my room because she thought I was travelling alone and itd be ok. Whether Im alone or not, doesnt negate what I reserved. Why did she not call to get my ok?I spoke with the GM, Jim Snyder, who assured me the points should show up no later than 8/19. I told him Id give them additional time since I was going on a business trip until 8/21. I called on 8/25 and left him a voice message that I still hadnt received them and to this day, I have not received a call back OR MY POINTS.
My wife and my teen-age son and I had spent 5 days working on a mission project for our church in southeastern Ohio. We had planned on stopping at the NFL Hall of Fame on our way home and stopped at this Comfort Inn because of location with no reservations. The clerk at check in was very efficient and friendly. Later, she gave my teen-aged grandson a friendly ribbing when he chose to use the elevator rather than the steps to get to the second floor, which the rest of us got in on. He enjoyed the attention and gave it right back. After several days of hard work, we enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The next morning as we were leaving, the maid in our section thanked us for staying and wished us a good day. Kind of reflects the attitude of the staff here. Much appreciated.
I would not recommend this location. I was here 2 weeks ago today and was bitten up by beg bugs. When I called to share that they might want to check things out just to be on the safe side, I was told I would hear from a manager. I have not received any type of communication. I explained I was not asking for anything, just courtesy from someone in charge. I have had to see 3 different medical professionals because of a severe allergic reaction to the bites. Also, while there a fire broke out. The receptionist said we could evacuate if we wanted to...I am concerned about there being no protocol established for such situations. Our safety did not feel like a concern that night.
Nice facility close to all nearby area attractions. Room was newly updated and very clean . Hallway was VERY fresh smelling and clean. Breakfast was standard but adequate and kept well supplied although the dining area is somewhat small for the size of the hotel. Bedding was very comfortable and nice choice of soft or firm pillows.
Rooms were very nice, obviously recently renovated with comfortable furnishings, and very clean. Noise from the hallway was a consistent issue, though, largely due to the ongoing hallway renovations. We hadnt been warned about these renovations so it was strange to walk onto our floor and see handwritten signs and room numbers and a partially finished hallway. Also, renovation work started again promptly at 8:00 Saturday morning, and between the noisy equipment and loud voices directly outside my room, it was a good thing I hadnt planned to sleep in. I certainly appreciate the renovation efforts at this property but would really like to have been notified in advance by staff that it was occurring.
I have stayed in alot of hotels but this was the worst...their outdoor pool is not locked people that are not guest drive up and just swim or drop their kids off to swim. I had to save one childs life from drowning because the mother just dropped her kids and left them unattended. Told staff what happened and no thank you nor was anything done the children continued to swim unattended and again the next day.
Our family stayed at the Comfort Inn in Canton while on vacation. The front staff did a great job of helping us out when a reservation mistake (by me) was made. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was good and my kids enjoyed the pool. Very enjoyable experience for us and I would highly recommend this location.
My daughter and I were very pleased when we arrived to the hotel and unfortunately that didnt last long. It wasnt the wonderful decor of the interior or the amenities of the facility and it wasnt our room, It was the staff from check in to check out that left us dismayed that we stayed at this hotel. Its amazing how much money is put into the hotel but the greatest investment (i.e. the staff) is often forgotten.
The girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful to me. There is a lot of construction in the area and they gave me a list of restaurants who would deliver to my room. I love the stairs and the layout of the hotel, but it is a bit outdated. The furnituare in the rooms were clearly worn.
Again, this hotel took advantage of the Hall of Fame events and charged extremely high prices for a room that wasnt even close to its value. I know it is what businesses do, but the extremely high over-charging like this place is unprofessional. Also, most of the hotel staff was miserable and very unfriendly.
We have stayed at this hotel before and found it convenient and comfortable, but this stay was very disappointing! They were understaffed at the front desk and due to a military group coming in, we had to stand for 30 minutes to get our room. Then, though we had booked an accessible room for my mother-in-law, there was none available for us. The housekeeping staff had left the shower temperature on hot, so my mom burned herself! On the second day, we made up our own room because housekeeping had not come through by the time we returned at 4 pm. When we checked out, the clerk was sitting in the office, not minding the desk, so we had to call out to her to get her attention. The whole stay was way below what we expect from Choice hotels.
Our stay was for one night to attend a wedding the next day. Couldnt get a room with a refrigerator or microwave due to a late arrival (10PM). The mattresses were a little old and firm, and did not have great support, as they wiggled around easily and were noisy. The kids laughed about it. The sausage at breakfast was not warm and was not good quality. The yogurt was also warm as it had just been placed in the cooler. It seemed mostly clean, and the staff was helpful.
This was the second time I stayed here. First time was great, which is why I stayed again. The room I had was on the second floor right next to the stairwell. The bathroom and half the actual room smelled like cigarette smoke. I even went down to the lobby because I wanted to make sure I picked non-smoking. She assured me that the whole building is non-smoking. I dealt with it but not sure ill stay here again. Nothing worse than trying to fall asleep to the smell of cigarettes.
Room was large and very clean. Outdoor pool was great. Love to visit with the grandkids and soak up some sun! The hot breakfast with waffle station was really great to have. Good location with easy access to mall, restaurants, etc. Would be great if there was a bar/restaurant on site for the evening.
I was very pleased with how easy it is to get to Walsh! Location was easy to find, traffic was a breeze, and proximity to shopping, dining etc., ideal. Staff was polite and professional.Room was clean, beds were standard- probably due for replacement soon!Would stay there again, and I dont say that about all the Choice Locations!
Hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. Location was very good for our need. Breakfast was the usual but was good. Hotel pricing seems to have gotten out of hand at all hotels. However not sure what cost have increased and the impact from government taxes so we can pay for the governments lavish life styles.
I travel back and forth to Michigan to see family. I have found a new favorite place to stay on my way up to Michigan. The place is very clean. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choices. The staff is FANTASTIC. I would place this Comfort Inn high on my list of places to stay if you need a good hotel.
Good in all areas that really mattered: beds VERY comfortable, service great, room clean. Breakfast was very basic -a few more choices would be good. Internet was extremely slow. If you arent planning to spend a lot of time in your room(and, I wasnt), give this a try!
The Hotel was clean and pleasant and the staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed with a pet and the hotel and staff was very pet friendly which is very important to me when choosing a hotel. Coffee was available at all times and the breakfast selections were quite satisfactory and definitely above average when compared to other hotels I have stayed at.
See comments on two other spaces. The front desk staff, especially Thursday 8-4-16 when we arrived, about 7PM were very helpful, welcoming, and professional. The housekeeping for our room (1 of 3 rooms reserved for my family) was poor. The pool was well maintained and clean.
Myself and my family recently stayed at the Comfort Inn Hall of Fame. I was very impressed with the newly updated hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent! They really made our trip feel special. I would definitely recommend staying here.
I got just what I expected at this location. A clean room, a good breakfast, and a convenient location. Still, after numerous reviews of Choice hotel brands, I have yet to see a FIRM pillow in the room. It may also be time to re-invest some money at this location, as the linens were looking tired.
As mentioned Ive stayed at this hotel several times. I wouldnt return unless I was satisfied with the facility. In the past Ive mentioned to management an associate that didnt seem happy there. I havent seen that person since. The associate I now encounter is much friendlier. The beds and pillows here are very comfortable. Thank you.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel was very accommodating of my need for special accommodations, even after changing my arrangements multiple times. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.
Staff was amazing...Came in from Canada because our boys played at Fawcett Stadium..Everyone was so friendly and helpful..Our room was great! Beds were so comfy had a great view of Canton! Was just a nice relaxed place to stay! Breakfast was ok if you like a quick kinda breaky! Overall a great experience!
Nice facility, room was clean and comfortable, appearance was nice, checking in was a breeze. Breakfast seating area not big enough for all of the people who want to sit and look at their phones after eating while families stand by waiting for a table to eat at.Food warmer was not on so bacon and eggs were absolutely cold. Not even warm, thus inedible. This needs to be checked by set up person... then checked again.
In town for a wedding and had a block of rooms. Would have been nice to have rooms located near each other, but were scattered between floors. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing spectacular. Breakfast room was a little small.Surprised there was no refrigerator or microwave in room. We have always had those before, but maybe that was in Comfort Inn & Suites.
My Friend and I stayed at the Comfort Inn Hotel for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon, we greatly appreciated the ability to check out late on Sunday. A definite plus! The early breakfast was incredible and the staff that Sunday morning was incredible. Overall great experience.Staff, experience at hotel and ease to get to the proximity to the Pro Football Hall of Fame was exactly what I wanted and what I received. Thank you.
Ive been a choice rewards member for the past few years and typically stay at the Sleep Inn brand of hotels. I have been pleasantly surprised to find Comfort inn brand hotels to be modern and updated and comfortable. Keep it up, these are fast becoming another frequent option for me.

2022-02-08This was the very first hotel I ever stayed at when I was a kid and my dad brought us all up from Steubenville to visit the Hall of Fame. I loved it then and I love it now! It has been completely updated and remodeled. Free breakfast is what sells this place.. But get down there early because it gets busy- especially during the summer months. Great friendly and hospitable staff. Amazing value!

2022-06-12Bed was super comfy and it has an outdoor pool even tho I did not have time to swim hours 9am to 9pm. The room was clean and they was able to give me and my friends side by side rooms. Would recommend!

2022-04-02The front desk girl was super friendly. The breakfast was really good and the breakfast lady was super kind and you would always be seen talking and joking with the guest. She seemed to have a bubbly and free spirit. I stayed for three days with my husband and during that time she was friendly. I really recommend this place

2022-07-01It was an ok stay. The room was kind of small, the bathroom was, odd. They were understaffed. The breakfast was just.. not great - the eggs tasted more like water than eggs. The sausage was decent. It was kind of messy. Just over all an ok experience but not great, especially for the cost.Generally Im a fan of comfort inn just not this time.

2022-06-21Too expensive for the condition of the rooms and the experience we had. The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance. Paint peeling, doors are splintered, and showers are sub standard. There was no customer service here except the great lady staffing the breakfast bar. Twice I went to the front desk to get some issues resolved and twice the front desk was vacant.

2022-04-27Overall not satisfied with the room for the price paid. Bottom floor had a very low counter and toilet which for what was paid didnt think I would get a handicap room. Bed was awful as well as the pillows and the large hole behind the toilet in the wall was disturbing. Do better!

2022-02-27Positive: Location to Canton McKinley HS/Football Hall of Fame with many options for food and shopping nearby. Quiet hotel, comfortable bed. Good water pressure in shower. Negative: Lobby needed a good vacuum. Window and heating/AC in room needed weather stripping.

2022-04-10Friendly staff. Nice hotel. I was happy they are dog friendly. They placed us next to the exit which was nice with my dog.
