DO NOT EVER rent the property managed by this company!. I rented Arlington apartment in Baton Rouge and they gave me the apartment without cleaning and the apartment was like trash which was still being used by a ten ENT whi is illegally smoking and has occupied the property even though he was supposed to be evicted. When I called for the manager she never responded and left us to clean the apartment on our own even though they had taken application fees and rent. The staff are clueless, do not know how to handle tenants and keep asking us to wait to hear from manager who is never available. I would like to take this matter to consumers division.
I moved here 3 years ago when Edwards managed the property. Ever since Costal Ridge took over, I have had nothing but problems.Soon after Costal Ridge took over, security went severely downhill. Our front door was often broken. The fob would not lock or the glass to the door would be shattered. Apartments were being rented as Air BnBs. Packages would go missing. Not only were cars in the garage (closed entrance and exit) broken into, but a car was stolen. This is completely unacceptable. It wasn’t until after all of this happened that I started to see security around the building at night. The lack of communication by management is baffling. Not only from the leasing agents, but the property manager and regional manager as well. There were several times I sent them messages and no one replied. It usually ended with me having to walk to the leasing office and speak with someone.A couple months into this pandemic, I could no longer afford to live here. The property acted like they cared, but did nothing to help. And I know this was the case with several people. Management does not care about their residents, they care about the business and that is all. I sent a letter to end the lease early. I was not contacted for 3 weeks after until someone called to tell me that they thought I had moved out and clearly had not. They locked me out of the portal and I could not contact anyone. I left messages and sent emails to the generic “info” email only for no one to respond. When I finally did speak with someone, she had no idea what I was talking about and said she would have to speak with the property manager to get back to me. I got a call from Kacey and she had plenty of excuses as to why I had not be contacted, let me know my balance and told me they had already given my parking spot away. All of this is completely unacceptable. They made assumptions without EVER speaking to me and that is their problem not mine.I would not recommend this place to anyone. The management makes it pretty much unbearable.
Winchester Park apartments was pretty good before it got bought out by Costal Ridge Real-estate. They literally have been here for a week and have managed to make the only way to pay is by in person because the service fee for online payments are 25 dollars which only use to be a dollar under the other company. Also they gave us a week literally a week to send our new insurance to there PO box before they started charging us 14$ for insurance which I already have. You can’t ever get a hold of anyone and when you do they don’t do anything. Would not rent do to the change in owner.
I was told by my leasing manager that I could be let out if my lease. I have a new apartment lined up but I can’t sign for it because coastal ridge won’t sent the paperwork to terminate my lease. I have called numerous times, sent emails, and even messages on Facebook and I have gotten NO response. If I don’t get this paperwork my new apartment will be given to someone else
Coastal Ridge Real Estate owns Coastal Village in Fort Myers, Florida. My son is a student at Florida Gulf Coast University. Application for apartment rental. Rent amount falsified on the phone multiple times and in writing. Cancelled application based on falsified information. Emailed Statement for $175 Administrative Fee + $50 Application Fee. Not justifiable based on falsified application process and information. Not responding to messages or email. Statement in my sons name indicates indicates it will be turned to collections for non-payment after 30 days. Left multiple message for Coast Village in Fort Myers and several for the Regional Director in Ohio. I filed a complaint with the FTC, BBB, & Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulations. The only response I received was from my Google Review for Coastal Village indicating they strive to provide 5-star service to please contact them. They should be contacting me! I finally reached the Manager at Coastal Village who assured me the fees would be removed since the website does not reflect the current rate and I contacted the Regional Director. I requested a new Statement be emailed to me reflecting a $0 balance. I am still waiting. Coastal Ridge Real Estate and Coastal Village have a history on Google and Facebook of predatory business practices involving college students. Buyer beware!
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Coastal Ridge bought the apartment I lived in. When I moved out they charged me an additional approximately $400 (which they eventually lowered to $297) to replace the carpet because it was worn (their description- their facilities manager actually COMMENDED the shape I left my apartment in when we did the move out walk through). Not only is this illegal (wear and tear is expected... all I did was WALK AND LIVE on this carpet), but when I tried to discuss this with them they simply stopped responding and sent it to a debt collector. Its also problematic, as I had a cat in the apartment so you wouldve hoped replacing the carpet would be standard at move out (I paid a pet deposit and pet rent while living there). Additionally they listed on their website that all apartments were being upgrade to include wood flooring! Seems like the scam is to charge former residents for the upgrades they plan to make. Ive spoken to other former residents all of whom had similar charges (sometimes above $1000) at the time of move out.
I rented at Flats at Douglas for a year. I moved out July 31st, left the apartment spotless, took several photos of the unit, and have a documented conditions assessment. I received a letter regarding the status of my deposit stating I would get the full return of $695.00. The Ohio deadline for returning a security deposit is 30 days. It has been 45 days so far and they have not sent my check. Most of my communication has been directly with the Flats but they kept telling me its a corporate issue and that its out of their hands after they inspected the apartment and sent out the final statement.Lauren Schmid the Leasing Manager said this in response:I have reached out to our property manager and regional manager and have not yet heard back on the status of your deposit, as she is out of the office until Monday! I noted in our conversation that as soon as I had an update I would reach out to you. I understand your frustration completely, but once the final account statement is issued it is in corporate (Coastal Ridge Real Estate) hands. We do not issue checks directly from our office. Feel free to reach out to them directly if you have any unanswered questions! I apologize for any inconveniences you have experienced!Coastal Ridge Real Estate needs to have a backup person in place so that if one person goes out of town, business dealings are not delayed until their return because they completed dropped the ball. I still dont have the money I was promised.I have been given the run around this entire time which is crazy because I always paid rent on time, if not a couple of months in advance. According to my lease, if I would have paid rent 5 days late I would have been fined. After 10 days, I would have been evicted. Now here it is 15 days after the Ohio deadline to return a security deposit and I still have not received it. This is unacceptable. Their leases are completely one sided. Coastal Ridge needs to send me my security deposit ASAP!!!!!!!!!!
My lease ended on Saturday, September 14th 2019. As tenant, I resided at the property located at 8489 Arrowwood Dr., APT 303 Mason, Ohio 45040. I moved out of that property and provided the property management with written notice of my forwarding address. When my lease began I paid a security deposit of $700.00Till date I have not received the refund for the security deposit. I have multiple time contacted the local property manager(s) Sarah **** and Corissa *****. However, the situation has not changed, I am still waiting for my security deposit refund.
Called about mold and mildew in my unit and I never got a response from corporate, even after a month. Obviously having severe asthma and the potential for health issues was not enough for coastal ridge to call me back. Would not recommend anyone to live at these quickly constructed properties. Also I was not the only tenant to have flooding for four months.
This is the parent company of Campus Lodge Tampa. There are serious issues that need to be addressed and they obviously lead by example because they have not attempted to reach back out based on our concerns or respond to our requests for assistance. The staff at the complex is not at all friendly, helpful or caring about their residents. My daughter has encountered nothing but issue after issue since she signed her lease and unfortunately she hasn’t even moved in yet. On top of that, they still have not corrected the issues. This is obviously a horrible indication of how things will be for her as a tenant. I called and dealt with terrible customer service myself and trying to get a hold of a member of management is just unheard at this place. Sarah is the Manager and Joshua is the assistant and they have done absolutely nothing to correct, much less address the issues we are facing. They probably feel that they can behave this way because they deal with young college students and that’s just wrong. There are many other complexes that will treat future and current tenants respectfully and ensure issues are resolved instead of ignoring and dodging issues. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. You’ll certainly regret it!
Pay close attention to the google reviews!! The only good reviews this company has is by their employees!! They must pay them well to blow off tenants and see how long they can drag out repairs to save them money. Bonus structure for not spending money to keep up the units?? We moved our daughter in to the Lighthouse on 8/12/19 and from day one there was water running out from under the dryer in their unit. The tenants put in a work order and it was never handled until I called and made it known that it was a serious safety issue to have water leaking under a high voltage appliance. A new dryer was installed with in a day or 2. Ive lost count of the 5 or 6 new work orders that are over a week old and not handled. Stopped up shower backing up into tub, bedroom doors that have not latched since move in, kitchen sink faucet leaking and not working properly. Someone has been entering their unit without permission or notice and using their bathrooms. Final straw... a friend went to visit this past weekend and with 300+ units Im guessing (?) they have 16 visitor spots on the property. There is nothing posted or in the lease or welcome packet that states an alternative if guest parking is full and at 5am Sunday the guests car was towed for a $150 fine. I was told by David (with leasing) that being the guarantor on the lease I was eligible for a guest pass since Ive had a background check(?) When I call back with an hour of the conversation I was told that they no longer do that and that I cant get a pass. He was so kind to grant me a one time pass for 24 hours. David told me my daughter can park in guest parking and save me a space (which she can be towed for!!) or I can park 1/2 mile away at Sams club or the church 2 blocks away. We are a little over a month in and this place is a JOKE!!! They make up rules as they go along and they think there is nothing we can do about it!! Lets not forget the drugs being brought on the property and they cant do anything about it!
I live at Coastal Village in Fort Myers for student housing of Florida Gulf Coast University and it has been the worst housing I have ever lived in. They charge you for things that shouldnt be charged and say you have to pay it even though it isnt supposed to be on your account. The management is useless because all they want is your money when we are struggling college students. They have racked up over $100 charges on my account that they were supposed to handle and take off a while ago and are insisting I pay it or I get evicted. When I asked to get the property managers contact information to fix this issue, they refused to give it to me. So getting corporate involved is the only thing I am thinking about doing since management is doing nothing about it. Wouldnt recommend this property.
Coastal Ridge corporate office has an amazing team of leaders who genuinely care about every resident at all of the properties. The departments put the resident first and handle everything professionally! Very pleased getting to know some of the people managing such a large portfolio. Continue being great!
While many throughout the world are trying to work with each other during this difficult time. THE VILLAGE AT LAKESHORE CROSSINGSin Birmingham, AL part of the Coastal Ridge portfolio is hold the line with 2020 seniors graduating from Samford University. With schools closed the apartment complex will not work with the students who are trying to move on to the next phase. Instead, charging as much as two months rent to get out of the lease early. A terrible situation made worse with a lack of professionalism by these companies. Its very disappointing to see a company not make any attempt to help those trying to move on during a unprecedented time in history. I suspect the hand will be stretched out for the US Government help.....
This company is the definition of horrible service. I have never been treated with such disrespect, or disregard, when my apartment condition is actually dangerous. We had a leak on 1/1/18. No one answered phone calls or was available in the office to report to. The drip in the ceiling escalated to water pouring out of the ceiling, cracks in the wall, electrical outlets and from the floor up through the carpet. When reported they send a maintenance man to investigate who reported back that there was no problem. It took 8 days to resolve the issue and only then because we threatened to call the state of Ohio. There was mold in the carpet and pad. They didnt replace it. Just vacuumed up the water and gave us a fan. There is still mold in a bathroom that has been reported numerous times...but since we called to report the issue they say we never mentioned it as there is no written record. My last straw was that on two separate occasions, within 8 days, our apartment door was opened, allowing our dog to get out. Fortunately our neighbors are wonderful and kept him safe until I could get home. On the phone, verbally, I was told it could be contractors entering the wrong apartment on both occasions. Now of course I dont have proof who opened the door so we were mocked when reporting the issue. A police report was filed. When your home is the least comfortable, unwelcoming space, where you feel unsafe and exposed ones quality of life ceases to exist. And that is what our experience has been since the moment this company purchased our complex.
I am a tenant of Tetro Student Village apartment complex, an asset of Coastal Ridge Real Estate Firm, who just renewed my lease for a second year. The property management of this company is unwilling to make any concessions to accommodate their tenants with health conditions, even when the tenant is willing to supply supporting documentation and handle all of the costs involved. When I elected to apply for a work from home position with my employer, primarily for better management of my health condition, I never anticipated such a difficult and unconscionable journey dealing with the property management of this complex. Once approved, my company’s only requirement for moving to a work from home position is that they be permitted to set up, at their own expense, a separate internet line to ensure the protection of their clients. This is a requirement of any work at home employee regardless of their individual situation. My primary complaint is against the property manager, Ebony Miller, regarding her evasive and unjustifiable conduct in handling this simple request. My company scheduled two appointments to install a private internet line, at which point they discovered the buildings were not wired for cable internet, as all apartments are on a fiber network which is more cost effective for the complex. My company then investigated the very costly expense of having my building wired for the internet line which I needed to perform my job.I was then advised that the construction surveyor was informed by Ms. Miller, that due to their contract with Single Digits Internet Service Provider, she would not permit him to install any other ISP services in my building. No representative of Tetro reached out to inform me of this denial. My company then reached out to see if they could simply take out their own line with the same service provider, as to not violate any contract, which they would maintain and pay for, for as long as I resided at the property. I was then emailed that when my company contacted Single Digits to inquire about setting up their own line, that Ms. Miller, had again denied allowing any accommodations to be made for my unit. Again, I received no communication from the management of Tetro. At this point, I had gone into the property management office three times, to discuss the situation with Ms. Miller directly, but was always met with being told she was unavailable. I left multiple messages with the front desk which were never acknowledged. Desperate for a solution, I begrudgingly disclosed to another Tetro representative, who represented herself as a manager, that this request was to manage a health issue and if necessary I would provide supporting documentation. After this disclosure, I did receive a voicemail from Ms. Miller, who advised that it was the Single Digits ISP who would not provide the service, which differed wholly from what their representative advised my company. She also advised that due to wanting to maintain uniformity between the units they would not comply with my request anyway. At any other complex, I would be able to order any available ISP services I desired, without ever having to disclose my personal health information. In over ten years of renting properties in San Antonio, I have never experienced such a loss of trust in property management. For what I perceived as a reasonable request, this experience left me feeling evaded, deceived, and discriminated against. I truly hope this review prevents another potential tenant, especially those with health conditions or disabilities, from being entrapped in a lease that is so contraindicated to their health and work life balance without any justifiable explanation.
Costal ridge recently bought the apartment complex I live in, Steel house, and I will do everything to ensure I do not rent from them ever again. Under old management this apartment complex was excellent. However, since new management as taken over it has been terrible. They provided incorrect phone and email addresses, making any communication impossible. Since then, they continue to ask residents for documents that were already been provided. The woman at the front desk, Samirah, has been very rude and unhelpful during the few weeks since management changes. I will not recommend this property to anyone moving forward and will strongly encourage those interested to look elsewhere.
As a company Coastal Ridge stands apart from the crowd by continuous evaluation of process and procedure to provide the best service and accommodations for our residents. While we’re not perfect, we all strive to continuously raise the bar thru open communication and focus on professional customer service.
Maintenance yesterday had the audacity unlock my door, walk in my apartment unannounced, and when I told them to leave - they would not. I said multiple times, even to the point where I had to yell, that I’m working from home and getting dressed! Would not leave. Said they were there to check an alarm and he would sit out in hall, which he didn’t- there was a lady there too. It was at least 5 minutes and they refused to go - saying anything email was sent out. There was no email- and that’s besides the point. If I’m telling you to get out because I’m working and getting dressed- well ...it’s illegal unless an emergency. No 24 hour notice!!! Then since he lied and came in anyway- he said something about the alarm and asked could he come back in 15 minutes. I said NOOO! I’m working!!!!! For the 50th time. I sent an email with no response. No apology, no nothing. I was going to let it go- but changed my mind because now they can’t be trusted and they’ll do it to someone else. Guess they aren’t bright enough to know that if they walk into the right apartment, other people won’t talk. They’ll do what they need to do then ask questions later - on the way to police dept.
Horrific. Their company policies do not protect employees and their senior level managers and partners are somewhat sociopathic. After working here and also seeing how bad the infrastructure is, its amazing they have any good reviews. Their support teams are horrible, especially their marketing director. Complete fear culture. I would encourage anyone to look else where if you want to work for a company that knows what its doing. You cannot trust that they will manage the property well either. Renter and worker be ware!
My husband and I have made multiple attempts to contact the management company of a property in Morgantown West Virginia both by email and phone. We are being given the runaround by the agency in Morgantown who flat-out lied about the process of subletting an apartment. No one will return our calls from the property management company or emails. We have called on different dates and different times of the day and have yet to speak to a human being. This is probably one of the worst experiences we have ever had with any business of any sort! It is impossible to take care of issues or concerns when you cant get anyone from the company to return your calls. Ive even questioned if this is a real agency at this point. Will be contacting and filing a formal complaint with the Attorney Generals office in the state of West Virginia. Would highly discourage anyone from ever renting from this company or any of the properties they own or manage!
As a property manager with this company, I LOVE IT. There is enormous opportunity for growth with this ever-growing company. Management and leadership are outstanding and there is training and development at every turn. I have made life-long friendships with co-workers and residents and actually love coming to work. I definitely appreciate being part of this outstanding team of professionals.
Coastal Ridge Real Estate is a great company to work for. This company is definitely growing and I can see has a long lasting future. The only thing that Coastal could be better at, is building a culture and focusing on growth and development of their employees so that top talent can be acknowledged, developed and retained.
I worked for Coastal Ridge in the corporate office for two years, I made many life-long friendships, enjoyed copious amounts of music, laughs and happy hours, while working along side friends. If youre looking an experience and opportunity, check out Coastal Ridge, the management group listens to ideas and makes everyone feel valuable. While I have moved on to my next adventure, my time at CRRE helped me grow as a person. If youre afraid of a challenge or pushing being on the cutting edge, this may not be the company for you.
Coastal Ridge recently purchased the building I live in, The Neilston, and it has been horrible. Since they purchased the building everything has broken including the coffee machine, doors to get into the building, the grills, and the computers in the common room. They have emailed us requesting information they already have and in the emails have listed the wrong emails and phone numbers. They never answer their phones and are impossible to get a hold of. I do not recommend living here
I am new to Coastal Ridge and have been really blown away by, not only the corporate team members and their enthusiasm for everything, but also the sites I visited so far. Their communication with the community members and true urgency at figuring out issues quickly and completely has really been refreshing.I am exciting to keep learning and growing with such a great company!!
I cannot express how dissatisfied I am with the service at this company. I signed a lease with The Standard St. Louis and told them 3 months in advance when I knew I would not be able to keep this lease due to a health problem requiring hospitalization. The staff ensured me that there would be no issue finding a replacement for my space, then 3 months later threatened to hand me over to collections if I did not pay the full lease term in full. I ended up having to hand over $98,000 for the full year, in advance, in order to avoid destroying my credit history. Awful staff, horribly unaccomodating company, and outrageously expensive for a cheaply made living space.
DO NOT LEASE FROM THEIR PROPERTIES - ALEX YIPEZ Is the property manager of The Cadence in Tucson, AZ and is completely unresponsive and incredibly unprofessional. We have left messages for her daily and even multiple times per day for weeks and she refuses to call back. Her staff will simply tell you she is the only person who can assist, but you will get nowhere. Coastal Ridge Real Estate owns Cadence who employs her. GOOD LUCK IF YOU LEASE FROM THEM!
Exactly one week before moving into Palmer House there was a shooting and this company did not feel the need to contact new tenants to the situation. A concerned neighbor, not the management office or management company, expressed his concern seeing me out at night with my dogs and told me of the situation. This has shown me this company only cares about occupancy % and NOT the safety of their tenants. I will now take precautions, that I should have the right to chose to do so, now that I am aware of the situation. Would you not be upset if you had a family walking back and forth to the communities amenities at night with no knowledge of this situation??? Or letting your dogs out at night or even walking to your car. Yes, crime happens anywhere at any given time but to this extreme.... this situation should have been mentioned to new tenants!! I ONLY RATED ONE STAR BECAUSE I COULD NOT POST THIS WITHOUT A RATING
I have worked for Coastal Ridge for a short while now, but I love it! I felt incredibly welcome from the moment I walked in, both from on-site management and the corporate office. Great at communication, keeping up with modern company trends, and encouraging employees!
Palmer Park Apts. There is very little parking. Their are people that drive exceptionally fast and can run you down. Dont move there if you dont like loud trucks and people driving very fast and reckless in the parking lot. Oh and it is always nice to be blocked in by an illegally parked car and then have them curse you out because you called the police. If you are over 40 do yourself a favor and find somwhere else to live. Of course in Columbus you dont have much of a choice. 1,200 is a lot of money for a medium size appartment. The people here do not have the brains to know how to push the button for the garbage and it just piles up because they are soooo lazy.
I believe Somerset Deerfield mason, oh also under your portfolio as well , could you please take a look at service issues at this complex? local management seems to care less and nothing being given away other then deflection and false promises. Feel free to write me , I will be more than happy to provide you with particulars.
Costal Ridge currently bought Somerset st Deerfield In Mason, OhioThis apartment complex for the last 2-3 weeks has been horrible1 person working front office , who is a yes man, and apology guy , nothing gets doneTrash everywhere , dumpster had trash piled almost 10 ft high , that’s not even a jokeI have lived here for over 2 years , I will not be renewing my leaseIf Costal Ridge wants to lose business and keep people from resigning leases then they’re a great companyIf they want to make a profit , in my opinion to date they suck
MONARCH 716 , BUFFALO NYDO NOT LIVE HERE!! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY ARE LIARS, THEY HAVE MISLED STUDENTS AND PARENTS LIKE MYSELF. THEY HAVE IMPLEMENTED SO MANY CHANGES THAT ARE NO LONGER STUDENT FRIENDLY. IF U CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY RENT MONTHLY DO NOT APPLY THEY NO LONGER ACCEPT FINANCIAL AID DEFERMENT. THE SO CALL AMENITIES ARE NON EXISTENT. THINGS ARE ALWAYS CLOSED OR UNDER REPAIR. THEY HVNT PAID OUT THE ORIGINAL INCENTIVES THAT HAD BEEN PROMISED. THE NEW MANAGEMENT COASTAL RIDGE IS NOT HONORING THE AGREEMENTS FROM THE ORIGINAL MANAGEMENT. DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE THAT THEY ARE SELLING. THEY LACK SECURITY, ORGANIZATIONS AND STRUCTURE!!!!!!!

2022-06-16Was so happy to see my apartment building get bought out by another company recently. Coastal ridge’s management included never giving us the cable or Ethernet we should have had with our lease. My roommates and I asked weekly for updates and were always told we’d either get a credit or the services it just needed to be approved by coastal which would happen “the next week”. My experience with this company is it not following through on its end and providing excuses.

2022-07-01I lived at Campus Lodge in Gainesville, FL (now known as “Hideaway” I believe) for almost 3 years. The first two years were fantastic, and then Coastal Ridge took over and somehow “lost” my original lease and my move-in inspection sheet. When I moved out, they tried to charge me for an entirely new dresser because of a small spray paint stain. I have never used spray paint in my entire life; that stain was there when I moved in. They wouldn’t respond to any of my email requests for my original move-in inspection sheet, and only told me in-person (when I barged into one of the leasing agents’ offices) that they lost pretty much every document that I had ever signed. They will not respond to emails because that is documented evidence. However, I have had a collections account with them (for that dresser) for a few years now that I have been trying to dispute. But my dispute keeps getting rejected because they are obviously providing the credit company with some kind of “evidence” that they will not provide me with. I refuse to buy them a new dresser because I did not ruin the old one. And, in my opinion, it is honestly embarrassing that they won’t respond to a single email I send them to show me what kind of “evidence” they have that I painted their dresser. (WHO USES SPRAY PAINT ON A PIECE OF WOODEN FURNITURE???)

2022-03-31Will violate your rights and then charge you for trying to terminate your lease in response. They entered my apartment without reasonable notice twice and then the next time I needed maintenance no one came on the day they were scheduled, and no one ever finished the job (when they finally came they said they would finish the next day but never showed up). After this, I wanted to terminate my lease. At first they said that I would have to pay a lease break fee since they had so many vacant units and would not be able to fill our unit so they would lose money. Trying to be reasonable, we agreed to pay the lease break fee. However at the beginning of the month we were to move out, the fee was removed. We thought they had removed it on purpose since they found someone to lease our unit for more money than we had been paying in rent, but a week after we turned in our keys the fee was charged to our account again. I emailed the property managers about this several weeks ago and never got a response from anyone. This is just one example of their unprofessionalism. I originally wanted to deal with this by submitting the matter to a free community mediation service, but when I asked the attorney representing Coastal Ridge if we could do this, all he emailed me back was no.If you do not want to deal with this level of unprofessionalism and unreasonable behavior, do not lease at any of their properties.

2022-07-21I am experiencing a problem at a Apartment Complex that has just been taken over by Coastal Ridge Real Estate. I have called two days in a row and they said that someone would contact me and so far no one has tried. This is very disappointing from a new company and I am still having issues with my apartment and the lease.

2022-05-18Absolutely stunned at the neglect for safety and and disrepair of this property. No Fob security for over 2 months! No on site security, and open elevator from garage for anyone to enter building. A fire yesterday at apartment across the hall, and no response in our apartment to correct water entering from hallway flooding early yesterday a.m. Went to the office for assistance yesterday and spoke to a Regional Manager. Was treated like I had no rights whatsoever to remediation, assistance, or lease break!

2021-09-02I applied to live at Coastal club in Conway, SC- cancelled my move in and they tried to put 9k on my credit. I have an ongoing case with SC legal aid. They are still trying to charge me rent and utilities for an apartment I never received an apt number for. I never got keys Ive never even been to this community in person. I originally applied online and received a special where my app & admin was waived and they are still trying to charge me for that. I received a move out statement finally after I filed a case with legal aide but how can they move me in the apartment when I never showed up to get keys and also if I did they wouldnt have given me keys unless I had funds. I cancelled my move in and they took advantage. I do not recommend this company or community unless you want to have to sue someone. This affected my job as I work in Property management and have for 8 years now, and it affected my perfect rental history. They extort money from people. Worst of all this took place during covid.

2021-06-28They own the apartment complex that I had been living in for 3 years in Fort Collins, CO and we realized quickly that they were bogus. They don’t respond to anything. I know it sounds crazy but they sneak in charges into your rent that they can’t explain. One month it would be normal and the next month it would have a hundred or more dollars added to the ‘rent’ (excluding utility payments). They also never checked our ventilation system, central air, or follow any city health protocols during the full 3 years we lived there. After I moved out, I was still receiving payment requests that were for months after I lived there claiming that I was still a resident. Luckily I had copies of my lease papers for proof. Finally, they sent me a partial return of my security deposit through a check. Yet, when I deposited the check, the bank received a ‘stop payment’ from Coastal Ridge Real Estate (not surprising at all) and I haven’t gotten a single response from them. Please be careful if you are signing with this clown show and keep a close watch on what they are charging you.

2021-11-19Hands down the best company to work for. I have been at coastal for about a year and a half and it’s the only place I’ve ever worked that I could see myself retiring at. People care about your success and pushing you to the next level. Hard work is rewarded and I come home everyday feeling empowered.

2020-11-10If I could go up to every single person on earth and explain to them how TERRIBLE this business is, I would! I currently live in one of the properties they own in southwest Florida called Coastal Village Apartments and I have had nothing but HORRIFIC experiences with these people! From management to the terrible front office employees, I would rather hang myself than renew a lease here! Where do I even begin?! I originally moved into an apartment that wasn’t clean...looking nothing like the sample model! Had disgusting brown carpet! The dryer didn’t work...maintenance would come and say they fixed it several time yet never did! Was promised what I moved into a new apartment that I’d have a new washer and dryer! HA LIES!! This dryer is even worse than the one in my first apartment here! There’s pot holes all over the parking lot of the community! There’s a terrible patch job done to my wall when it started leaking due to hard rains and now the hole is back! I even talked to the property manager and she said she’d have someone out to fix it...never fixed! BUT THE WORST PART!!!! They have what they call “package pickup hours” where, say, if you have a job and can’t make those pickup hours...too bad for you! For a week now they have refused to give me my packages! I get a one hour break between 8am-7pm shift that is not in their “package pickup hours”. So when my work sends me items to my house to bring with me to my clients, I CANT FUCKING PICK IT UP!!!! They say it’s due to “Covid” reasons which is bullshit as they’re cause more traffic during those specific times for people to spread Covid throughout their residents! Their property manager is of no help whatsoever! I’ll be taking this to the BBB! They illegally withhold my mail!!! And let’s talk about the shitty fucking attitudes their front door staff has at the main office! Never ever ever!!!!! Sign a lease with coastal ridge!! There’s no way out of a lease unless you pay all 12 months up front or sublease! They scam college students into thinking these are student housing yet house them with 74 year old perverted men!!! Ridiculous!

2020-03-20I cannot express my gratitude enough by being employed by Coastal Ridge Real Estate. My journey with Coastal Ridge Real Estate started in March of 2016 however due to furthering my education and an opportunity within my degree plan. I decided to depart that year in November. After a couple months within what I thought I wanted to do. I found myself wanting to go back as soon as I possibly had another opportunity. Thanks to my amazing team at Spectra Luxury Apartment Homes. I was able to do so. Now- more than ever I am so happy I chose to come back. The way Coastal Ridge Real Estate has chosen to protect their employees and residents in a time like this speaks volumes about their values and commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and happy work place. I am truly blessed.
