THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. EVER. BUT WHEN YOU GET THERE THEY SEEM TO ANSWER. SMH TERRIBLE. I CALLED 6 times no answer get there and she answer first ring. I went outside and called them she answered
This location is always very, very busy and unfortunately the staff hasnt changed with getting orders prepared on time. The food is wonderful per my Customers and are willing to wait for their food no matter what. I was told that both of my orders would be ready in 5 minutes but, that time frame had come and gone. I was there for over 45 minutes and lost valuable time and money.
Food was good and customer service definitely got better.
Kudos to the young people who own this restaurant. Every time I come home I try to go pick up a meal. My brother and I started going here when they opened and it looks like they are doing well and their pork chips are so good. Only the last time was there it took over an hour for my food to get ready...thats too bad cause I dont have a lot of time to waste however, the next time I am in Cleveland I will more than.likely be back but instead I will place an order and leave because they dont always take telephone orders.
Food is hit or miss some days. mainly go for the baked potatoes. Edit 6/22/22: I wish I could say its improved but its the same thing. Went today for a big work order and got back to work and I have mushrooms in my food again... and they dont do remakes once you leave. Its covid time I dont wanna be in the lobby opening 8 orders of food to find mine. Ill just try somewhere else from now on

This place fire 🔥! Im happy they answer the phones cause I hate waiting 30 mins for my food. When Im ready 2 eat Im READY 2 EAT! I had the whiting it was scrumptious I tried the greens and spaghetti.....the sides was just ok. Another time they ran outta whiting so I tried the catfish one dinner was cooked great the other could been cooked longer it was really mushy and I threw most out. Overall its good food and them loaded potatoes 🥔is delicious too!!!

I called at 2:30 was told the wait was 20-25. So I actually waited an extra 5 before I went in. Mind you I only order a loaded potato and 3 pieces of chicken . The fried chicken was good but the loaded potato was AWFUL. Idk if the meat old or what. But never again. Very disappointed . Plus I had to wait an extra 20 mins because the didn’t even drop the chicken till I got there. Like wow.
I wish Google would stop stalking my moment. This restaurant usually makes the best loaded potato this last one was dry no sauce I liked to choked

Customer service was good. The food was good, but they did not have greens at 6:30 pm. The green beans taste good and were seasoned well. I had the perch with macaroni and cheese. It did not taste like soul food, but it was good. My husband had the rice and chicken. It was good. If you use a credit card there is a fee. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time.
One hour wait for a CMB Roman burger, which end up being a double cheeseburger instead, something I could have gotten anywhere else for less than $12.50. Me as a minority & a resident really try my best to back these small minority owned businesses but when you get that kind of service theres a reason they dont last. Dont even deserve the one star I gave you, maybe half because Ive had your stuffed potatoes before, which are pretty good.

I order almost EVERYDAY! And this one day the owner was answering the phone. I asked my same question whos cooking !? Simply because after a certain time its children running the kitchen and the food ISNT the same. Instead of trying to understand he became offended and rude!! I always give people a chance even after they mess up! After 3/4 you risk your order being wrong, rice being watery, food being under seasoned etc.... Him being THE OWNER SHOULD HAVE ADDRESSED my concern differently! I truly hope the owner see this message and learns that HIS responses to his customer can make or break his BUSINESS!
Ive been waiting awhile to try the loaded potatoes...well mine didnt have any flavor in it. I came home and added seasoning to it. I purchased a chicken one for myself, loaded fries and a wing dinner which was tasty (husbands meal). Would I return? Yes but only for a wing dinner!!!
So I got the six piece wings with fries today and it was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The fries taste like old grease and burnt. The chicken was soggy and sauce tasted like ketchup with a ton of salt and pepper. Just horrible and Im so disappointed I waste my money there. Never again will I order from there.
This place is totally lost value is still trying to keep up the Rhythm but they take too long with your food if you call the order in is not ready I dont like the wait time and the prices are a little high this place used to be banging back in the day what happened and also theres construction blocking parking if its filled up in the back where you going to park

Theyre kinda slow making the food and you can tell you in the hood. But it looks good, staff was cool, register lady had her mask on, couldnt see anyone else to say if they had masks on or not, food was good, and reasonable prices. Id go back.
Food the is amazing but the service is terrible its Kids working in the back. I ordered two wing dinners with gold sauce at 1735 the young girl noticed once food they put barbecue sauce on it . The time is now 1900 and my food still now ready. Refund thanks

No major complaints! I just wish the portion size was bigger. I ordered the chicken and shrimp fries but for the 13 dollars I paid I would have expected more than 4 shrimp. The food was awesome and definitely cured my hangover!

If you go.. make sure you go during the day! The food tastes waaay better. It’s seasoned better, prepared better, and overall just generally you can tell they care more. I ALWAYS get a chicken and shrimp loaded potato. Anytime I go at night it’s just not the same. The potato may or may not be fully cooked. Or they leave off something like cheese. Like they did last night!

Just got a chicken & shrimp rice bowl with some extras delivered to my door. Paid 27.00 for $10.00 worth of food and none of the extras I ordered and was charged for were included. The owner called me after he saw my review, trying to bribe me to take this down with a $5.00 partial refund. Sorry, sir: trick no good. I am NOT boo boo the fool. This place is a total rip-off. Go someplace else! (1 star for the bangin shrimp. The rest of the order was whack).
I don’t even know where to begin with this restaurant. For starters the customer service is terrible every time I speak to someone over the phone( if they decide to answer) it’s always someone with an attitude or someone that’s not competent enough to get the order right. I have have had 2 different scenarios where they got the order wrong and they didn’t even have the decency to apologize for the inconvenience or at least refund me my money. The food is good but definitely not worth the poor customer service experience. They don’t accept cash app cards either. Won’t be supporting them anymore.
Ordered food for the family and it was really good. I came from St Louis No and after finding all of the old hang out gone I happened to stumble CMB SOUL FOOD. I so wanted a polish with the fries and slaw and I can say I was very pleased. The only thing that could have made this a 5 would have been if they had put this drunk guy ( how did not order food or have money to buy any) out because he was make others uneasy. But the food was pretty good.

Literally a piece of hair fried to my food called up there to see what can be done to compensate and was told no management currently in town and that they will call me back. Asked to get another dinner was told by the girl on the phone nothing can be done because no one whos currently there working matching the hair description. Rude customer service, told order would be 20 mins waited 1 hour, very nonchalant about my problem and nothing was done to compensate. VERY UNSATISFYING VERY UNSANITARY!
Average eatery and experience on pare with your local soul food/BBQ establishments. Slightly sketchy area, with slightly sketchy clientele. Pricing is also on average as well. There is a large variety of items on the menu and call-in orders are only taken up to a certain time. Its definitely best to call ahead for more prompt service.
I ordered the loaded chicken potato. This was the first visit in years. Im must say the food was nowhere near as desirable. The potato was dry an an very few piece of chicken. The potato was removed from its skin an taste like it had been refrigerated for a for awhile. Ill never waste another dollar on them. Just sad!

Food is good I always get the same thing A LOADED CHICKEN BAKED POTATO. But atmosphere is not appealing at all. Its whole in a wall. Make sure you watch them as theyre preparing your food to assure you that not foul play was around or in your food.

They forgot to put my shrimp on one. I called to let them know the lady basically told me the cook SAID he put them on there and blew me off. She said its not their fault if i didnt check my food. Went there for the first time tonight since I happened to be on that side of town for an event. Drove past and remembered I had seen them on Instagram and thought I’d give them a try. I ordered a chicken and steak PHILLY. Since I hadn’t been there before I was sure to ask the young lady do you have just a regular PHILLY on bread (not a potato or rice) she said yes. I asked if it came with fries she said no which prompted me to order fries. The PHiLLY was for my husband and I was very specific because he is a picky eater. I told her meat cheese and bread only no mayo, no vegetables nothing else. She then asked me if I wanted ranch I said no. I also ordered a chicken salad for myself. I asked her how long would the order take and she told me 10 to 15 minutes. So imagine my disappointment when almost 40 minutes later my number is called. She tied my bag so tight that I had to tear the bag open to check the food (which I have learned to do when asking for special orders). The first thing I see is what appears to be a Philly on top of a baked potato and it also had steak sauce on it! I then tell the young lady that I ordered a PHILLY and she told me I ordered a potato wow! People make mistakes, but to not even acknowledge the possibility that you made a mistake is just down right foolish. I guess that’s why my receipt says no mayo right? Maybe that’s also why I asked if fries came with it right? Maybe that’s why I said meat cheese and BREAD only right because I was ordering a potato right? She was going to have him make it over but I told her to wait and called my husband to see if he would eat it because honestly I had no idea how long it would take but I did know that I was in a neighborhood that I was unfamiliar with and that it was also going to take me at least 25 to 30 minutes to get home and I had already waited for the first order for close to 40 minutes so if there was a way to avoid having to wait again I was going to avoid it. He said just bring it and leave so that’s what I did. Very disappointing experience! My husband said his potato was delicious so I will not take that away from them. My salad was fine iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, cheese, and chicken nothing great but it hit the spot and everything tasted fresh. I’m glad they even had a lighter option especially because it was late. I would probably try them again in the future and call ahead, (tried to tonight but the phone was busy it’s Friday night I get it) be very clear about my order, and make sure to check the food.
Terrible, terrible, terrible! There should be a minus button! Chicken wings were so small, some they i could not even eat. Chicken was so black from the old grease, and there was cornmeal on my chicken i guess this was from the fish that they also fry in the same grease. My french fries were also black from burnt grease and they were mostly skin nor much potato on them. Wing Ding dinner is definitely not worth $10. I will never ever eat here again!!!!!!!

C.m.b is starting to go down in service they do not put what you order in bag then say their is no refunds. The food only taste good when certain cooks are their. If you mess up on my order as a company your policy should be to fix the problem.

I will NEVER eat at CMB on Union again! !!!!!! Ordered my food at 10:27 they skipped my ticket every one else got food after an hour I finally got my order for it to be wrong...they said they would remake it after another hour wait they gave my food to the wrong person...this chick fingers the food and cussed them out gave it back to them and they tried to serve me that food after 3 people have touched it!!!!! Im pissed and starving...this used to be my favorite place to eat and I drove an hour to get it. I called this morning to speak to a manager and of course no one is there that can help I was told to keep calling and I might catch them. I asked for an email address or another way to contact and was told that I just have to call back another time.

Great customer service from a light skin lady with blonde like hair,, good tasting dessert, but horrific nasty burnt food my boyfriend was very angry at wasting 22.00 here polish boy was small , burnt with burnt ash tasting fries , bbq sauce was cheap tasting and the perch dinner was bland no seasoning at all mac n cheese ok, greens taste like a can( never ever ever ever ever again

I called to place and order and the lady on the phone told me I cant order on the phone cause the calls was backed up (the time it took her to tell me all that I could have had my order in) so I drive from Warrensville and I get there expecting a long line.... nope the place was empty... so I walk up to the window where I place my order and stood the about 5 minutes waiting for my order to be taken then I got a lil impatient and asked the lady are they taking orders today she said yes one second and continued counting money so I stood there another 5 minutes and still I didn’t get no order taken there wasn’t nobody in the back cooking one girl was on her phone the other lady just kept counting money and wasn’t trying to take mine, so I ended up at Muncheez on 123 rd buckeye where the service was much better
I really like this place as well to they have pretty good food the only thing about it is make sure if you do order something you call it in because you may be sitting inside of the restaurant for about 15 to 25 minutes for your food

It was ok over price for the fish. Frys arent good at all to say Frys are hand cut they still taste like they had dirt on them like was not washed off properly.
4 years ago the food was 5 stars! Today its terrible! My office ordered food from them, they told us 20 minutes and when we got there it was not ready. We waited for 1 hour to get our food and on top of that the WHOLE order was wrong and the food was TERRIBLE.

2022-07-22I just ordered my first order from door dash from here and I must say I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken and steak stuffed potato with extra cheese and broccoli. How ever it was blue hair in my food my food was cold the chicken looked like some chopped up I dont even know what that was. I never received the steak on my order or the extra cheese and the broccoli was so damn overcooked. It just all around looked like someone played in the food.

2021-12-08Now we ordered this for take out and had it delivered to cleveland clinic via door dash the food was delicious I will def go back. I think the delivery part may be what is holding me back from a 5 with a tad soggy with the cheese sauce not still melted and the styrofoam may have impacted it a tich. I will def go and eat this live as I also thought it needed a tich of spicyness. So good and impressed tho will definitely want to eat it at the restaurant to get it authentic hot out oven! Thank you for pleasing my belly at work as an RN p.s would not show shame in licking the Togo box and see you soon 😋

2022-05-23I only gave three stars because of how slow they are. I order over the phone and through door dash a lot and everytime my driver or I go to get it I always have to wait an extra 30 mins to get my food. But as far as taste goes very very good food I’m just impatient

2021-10-15I have eaten here before years ago, however things have changed a hell of alot since then. The quality has definitely declined. We went in on Tuesday 10/12/2021 wanting something different for our tastebuds, and ordered a steak and chicken loaded potatoes ( minus the A1 sauce). This was HORRIBLE!! You could see the actual chicken , however when it came to the steak part of it...we were confused...I am not sure if it was ground beef, steakum, or what because it was unrecognizeable, and tasted like nothing. What we thought looked like it could have been pieces of steak, were the few mushrooms that were mixed in. Then there were the thick pieces of cheese slices thrown on the top of it. Just a waste. $13 a piece down the drain. (Amongst other things). We attempted to eat this potato in hopes that the taste would grow on us, it never happened. The most i could stomach was a corner of it. Just could not do it. We both ended up with the bubbleguts. What happened to the CMB from back in the day? I know places change management, prices of the food changes dramatically....I get it. The taste and quality should not. I am aware i am only one person, out of hundreds who may purchase from this establishment,. I was so very disappointed. I am not sure if it was just an off day or what.

2022-03-24I really try to support black business but these people make it very hard. went I. About 8:30pm for them not to take my order when they website says they close at 10:30 really grinds my gears. I will not be returning.

2019-01-13Food was pretty good. I had Whiting with rice and broccoli. This place needs a makeover with new customer service. When are black businesses gonna start putting money back into their business. You guys still have handwritten menu options taped on the wall.

2021-08-17They never disappoint. Other than yesterday (8/10) when they didnt have any mushrooms for my potato...😂 now Ive only been waiting for an hour for my food (8/11) 🤨Well this is an add on to the review. It ended up taking an hour and a half to get the food and when I got it, the wings and fries were warm the the potato was as well. You would think after a hour and a half your food would have been piping hot but...

2022-03-07Wasnt happy with the polish boy they service the bread was way to wet, the fries had a burnt taste. Was disappointed.
