CM Chicken in other cities:
The chicken here is amazing and superb. I would recommend getting the Soy Tikkudak which is a fried chicken that’s fried and then baked. It’s very crispy and pairs very well with rice. The Soy Tikkudak is slightly spicy but really good. The service is very fast and efficient. Definitely recommend.
Onion 🧅 rings are fantastic!!! Super large. They do have ranch dipping sauce. Chicken was perfect. White sauce is oniony and somewhat spicy. Expensive. Bought two orders of what’s pictured (spicy snow chicken), and onion rings with a Coke and a Banana Milk for $50. KPop is played on TVs and I found some new songs I like. TVs also have a food channel. Servers were sweet. Food came out quick. Had plenty of leftovers
Crispy chicken and excellent flavor. Finally a place that doesnt try to replicate southern fried chicken and spices. We ordered the garlic tenders and curry wings. Both were super crispy, chicken was juicy, and had excellent flavor. I highly recommend this if you want to try Korean style fried chicken.I do have to say that the place is small. So if there are big parties, can always do a takeout order.
Its taste was so amazing.I ordered spicy and soy chicken, those were good choices. Spicy chicken was hot a lot for us, and soy sauce flavor was every thing good. But if you want to eat for lunch or dinner, it takes long time. Even I went as soon as they opened, there were so many people.
We Ordered the Red Hot Pepper Tikkudak. Nashville Hot Chicken ...take a back seat!! This chicken was AMAZING! Delicious and HOT! If your not used to spicy hot food, you might want to avoid ordering this dish! I definitely will be back for this! Absolutely the BEST! Im looking forward to tasting the rest of the menu! Good atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff was very polite and friendly! Worth 5 stars for sure!
The food here is 5 star worthy, but our waitress was not friendly and had some issues for sure.I had ordered a number 2 (Garlic Soy Chicken) for me, and a number 4 (Red Hot Pepper Chicken) for my husband but we were brought out two red colored spicy chicken plates and the server who brought it wasnt sure which one was my husbands or mine... I was a little confused, because mine wasnt supposed to be spicy, and when I asked about it the waitress told me that I had made the mistake. She said that number 2 is spicy, and she showed me where she had written down number 2 for me in her notepad. I apologized for the mix up, and she ended up taking my plate away.Well, after checking the menu again, number 2 is not spicy. Its the Garlic Soy that Id ordered. She never came back to the table and sent another staff member over. The other staff member, who I assume is a sort of manager, was so nice and friendly. He switched out the food and chatted with my husband (who is Korean) for a while. Despite the mixup and the initial awkward/unfriendly service, this place still deserves 5 stars because the food is great and the manager really tried to make it right.Once we got our order right, the chicken was crispy, saucy, perfection. 11/10. Cant recommend enough!
This place is new to me but apparently established around the US. I tried the hot snow onion chicken with tenders and it was quite hot but still very flavorful. I also got curly fries which were great. I walked in and made a to go order rather than dining in and it took about 10 minutes on a weekday. The food seemed to travel well. Overall, highly recommend it
We like the soy garlic it’s sweet and slightly spicy and deliciously crispy! I’ve ordered the snow and the spring onion both are really good but the snow has a sweet creamy sauce that’s yummy. Take out and dine in are easy. Asian beer and sake available too. Nice treat!
I usually came to CM Chicken with my husband. We love Bonchon chicken and tried to find real KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) for a long time! And this is the place! When they just opened there was so many missing item for sure, but now I think everything is good to go. Ive been there more than 3-4 time in November and December and everything was perfect! This time I came by myself to get the lunch special and it worth it!! You can substitute rice to french fries and theres so many choices of drink! For the sauce I love garlic soy, its a little bit tiny spicy that make everything perfect, I dont eat spicy and I can handle this. The staffs are super friendly and kind. This definitely my spot for Korean fried chicken! Nice people and great food. :)
If you like it spicy 🔥 youll love it here. Golden crispy fried Korean fried chicken. I tried the Red Snow Onion Chicken, very hot but cooled down somewhat by the sweet gochujang sauce thats poured on top of the dish. Also tried the soy garlic tenders which is is still mildly spicy. To enjoy this food you need to do dine in. To keep it fresh and crisp, it doesnt travel well in my opinion. Everything is made to order so plan on at least a 30 minute wait. Well worth it.
If youre trying to go here during lunch or dinner hours, expect a long wait!Korean fried chicken is unique, delicious, and addicting. CM Chicken did a really great job for being a chain and we were pretty excited that it came here. We got the garlic soy and curry flavors, both were absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, decently sized, and sauced well. The garlic soy was sweet, savory, and just the right amount of both with a touch of garlic. The curry flavor was very unique, we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. It was on the sweet side, tasted like honey and curry, which was very good. Just a note, the curry chicken has a bit of a kick and can be spicy, but not its not overly spicy. Both flavors were bold and the wings had a great crisp. We would absolutely order both again and try all the other flavors! We also got a complimentary dish of pickled daikon and it helps balance the flavors and refresh your palate, which was really nice.We got wings, but there are options for drumsticks, tenders, half or whole chickens. There was also a platter that has onions and it looked delicious from what we saw. They did cover up a park of their menu, which I assume is no longer available. We also tried ordering calamari but they ran out for that day. Overall, it was a good meal and experience. If youre coming with a large group, you might want to call in and check on wait time be sure it was a 1-1.5 hour wait on a Sat night. Its a great place for casual dates, small groups, family dinner, and tasty wings! They have a lot of parking space, but they do share it with other businesses and theres a decent amount of seating inside. If youre looking for a unique wing experience, definitely worth a try!
Update: they now have takeout, appears during non dinner hours. Also updated limited hours of operation. And still delicious.Original: 맛있어요! So delicious! Less than a week since being open so anticipate it being busy and having a little wait but worth it. They had run out of wings and drumsticks when we got there at 430 but fear not (and was I happy they ran out) because their half chicken and whole chicken options are prepared in rough cut traditional style as you would get in Korea and I actually preferred. Will definitely be going back to try other options. Currently no takeout which is probably good since it is so new and would be hard to meet the needs of dine in and take out. Finally we got back a proper KFC in Columbus.
The chicken here was amazingly crispy, tender, and flavorful! Definitely a must-try, especially for any fans of fried chicken. Columbus desperately needed a Korean-Style chicken place. I think they’re just starting and figuring things out, so be prepared to wait a while and deal with a few hiccups. When I went, they were out of a majority of their side dishes and all of their Tikkudak chicken, so maybe go earlier in the day if you want more options. Despite everything, it’s all very worth a visit!
The service here is average. Some of the people care and other people dont. The wings are extremely over priced for how much you get. The other chicken is priced more accurately but its still on the pricer side. The chicken tenders however are very good. My chicken came out on the warm side even though they were deep fried. The onion rings and French fries are pretty disappointing. Buying a whole chicken and splitting it with friends is probably the best deal. The sauces here are probably one of the best things about this place. They are all delicious imo. I know this place is new so I hope some of the kinks can be worked out.
I’ve been there a couple of times now, and the chicken is consistent and amazing! The price reflects the quality of the chicken and the service is great, when it gets busy they still have pretty solid but it’s understandable when the wait is a bit longer. Hands down the best fried chicken you will try in Columbus
The best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had! I ordered the red snow onion and the shrimp tempura and it was amazing. The shrimp tempura was very tender and crispy, cooked perfectly. The Red Snow Onion is out of this world, it comes with a delicious sweet sauce and onions, a combination I’ve never had before but is mind blowing. You must try this place! I’d definitely come back here!
Food comes out hot and fresh, and has a good amount of spice. The Garlic Spicy Drumsticks were giant and came in 5. Id give the heat on them an 8/10, Ive had Carolina reaper stuff before and this is a respectable and enjoyable heat. If you dont have a massive appetite, maybe look at splitting an order between 2 people with some side.Prices were fair considering how much some chain like KFC charges similar, but I enjoyed these wayyy more, reminds me kind of the one time I had fried chicken in Busan. 5 stars
I had curry snow onion drumsticks and calamari. Then chicken was good but has a sweet taste to all sauces so if you dont like sweet try a few before you start and order. The calamari was tough which wasnt all that great but they are still trying to open so Im thinking this is more of a soft opening as there were several things that were marked as not available. I will try it again in a few months to hopefully getting their act together
After moving back from living in Korea, Ive been wanting a good Korean chicken restaurant near me here in Columbus! No one does fried chicken like Korea. This place just recently opened and their full menu isnt yet available, but what we were able to try was so good! This will be added to my regular rotation. We ordered the garlic soy chicken and the garlic spicy chicken with fries.Update: We have ordered three times now, and its just SO GOOD! The Tikkudak curry is my favorite!
We ordered a delivery of two wings (snow onion and garlic soy tikkudak) for 41 dollars, expecting the amount of 2 whole chicken. What we got ordered was just two boxes of half, definitely not equivalent to the amount in the picture. We tried to contact through the phone number on google but it was unreachable. But the taste wasn’t bad.
Really good. I’m sure everything has been covered here, but the menu is pretty simple. I like to order tenders when I’m feeling too lazy for bones. We got the lemon spring onion and the original garlic spicy tenders, both were delicious, had a great texture, and were the perfect temperature when they came out. Friendly, helpful service. Just try it!
Couldnt order online at Henderson Rd. Location in Columbus Ohio so went in to order a lg order for me and my family to try this establishment and literally stood at the counter to place my order for 5 minutes. Several workers saw me and passed the counter while bringing people their food. No one acknowledged me, or said I will be there in one moment, nor asked if I even wanted to be seated (as it looks more like a eat in restaurant). If you are trying to give good service and food, I wouldnt know because I would not waste my money on food where the customers disrespected. I would say some customer service training is in order. Dont waste your time.
Edit: Changing to one star after reading more reviews and seeing the owner replies. This guy is incredulous and cant take criticism. Your stuff is over priced and not worth it to everyone. Accept this, or change.Good chicken but WAY over priced considering what you get. Its 14 dollars for five pieces of chicken, and thats it. No sides, no drink, just chicken. Chicken. Not steak, not lobster tail, plain chicken. If you want sides, go ahead and buy the 4 dollar coleslaw to bring your total to 18 dollars. For fried chicken, for one meal. The prices are a joke and if I wanted to be robbed for basic food Id go to five guys. I wont be back.
Overall I would consider this some damn good chicken. I had the Red Hot Pepper Wings (gochujang sauce), and it was fiery! My companion had the Tiki Soy Garlic fried gizzards. Gizzards! One of the few places that sells them! They said it was good.I also had a basket of curly fries that I shared as well as a bottle of soju.Good prices overall, I didnt feel it was outrageous. The portions were fair. Service was very good and attentive.
The food tastes good but way overpriced in my opinion. Almost $30 for two orders of the tenders. I can overlook cost if the food is good but Im leaving 3 stars primarily due to customer service. They were rude while taking my order over the phone and rude when I showed up to pick up my order. Its almost as if theyre annoyed that youre bothering them or something.
Very good food wonderful portion sizes . I will definitely be back and take my oldest Grandson hell just love it . The food came out super hot and fast no issues at all. The curly fries and tempura shrimp came out first and like I said fast and hot . The sauce on the side for the tempura shrimp was different but delicious 😋. Next the Spicy Garlic chicken legs and Chicken Gizzards man Ive had Gizzard at many different places and these are truly TOP notch the sauce they were tossed in umm umm good 👍. I plan on going back for take out just for those . Overall a simple dining space large portions good pricing well worth a try .
3 pieces of chicken wings came with feathers. The owner came and said: “We cannot check every piece. It’s not our problem. It’s the suppliers’ problem. You can order something else. If you order wings, this may happen again.” So, are wings supposed to be served with feathers? How ridiculous!! The owner didn’t even offer a discount or anything. Before the owner, a waiter also tried to explain and said repeated “It’s not hair hair, not hair hair … “ I guess he meant it’s not human hair, but am I supposed to eat chicken feathers???
I thought the food was great. I just told the lady table for four adults and two toddlers and she sneered at me like she hated me. I was like wow what is going on. I say it again she says dine in or take out. Well dine in and for four adults and two toddlers. We were taken to a table too small for us then moved awkwardly to a bigger table. I wasnt trying to be mean or rude or anything maybe just do delivery next time.
An excellent place for food aficionados who indulge in crispy fried tender juicy premium white meat chicken. Much better than KFC, Buffalo Wings or Canes or Popeyes. You will be surprised to know how a Korean TOTAL11.06 crispy fried chicken be so delicious. The hospitality of the staff is another big plus. The Tiku Red Pepper Chicken is irresistible hot and spicy. Try Soy Garlic or curry chicken for a satisfying taste.
The chicken was really good!! The downside was it took 40 mins for our waters to be served and 50mins for our food. We weren’t given any plates, silverware and straws. We had to ask a couple times for our water. The servers/owners were really nice but there were just about 3-4 servers working.
I highly recommend getting something from their Tikkudak options - its the best of fried chicken (crunchy, juicy) with the best of grilled chicken (smokey charcoal char). The onion rings are also great - flavorful and not too greasy. Expect a 20 minute wait for takeout during quieter hours and around an hour when theyre very busy. The folks who run the place seem to care a lot about their food and making sure youre happy with your order, which is highly appreciated. Theyre a lovely addition to the restaurants on Henderson Rd.
All the 1-star reviews whining about the service here are probably Karens, the service was fine. I showed up on a busy Sunday right at lunch time, got seated immediately, someone took my order a minute later, and it only took maybe 6-7 minutes to get my food. Nothing to complain about there.Tried the tikku soy dak, which was crispy and awesome and required all my willpower to somehow avoid overeating. Yeah, everything on the menu is kinda expensive, but the quality is so good that I dont really care. Will definitely be back.
Tried the soy Tikku dak with a side of rice and it was amazing! Everything is very fresh. Chicken is tender and not greasy - sauce was sweet and salty with a very slight kick. The service was also AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and everything came out quickly during the dinner rush. The staff was patient and advised us on what to get since it was our first time. Will be back very soon!! Would have taken a picture but I couldn’t wait to dig in to the food haha
Good crispy chicken BUT its costly. So if you have the extra $$$ ENJOY! The GIZZARDS are really Gizzards & my son did not like them. **You only get 5 pieces of chicken tenders for $15.99($16) for 5 pieces! ***Thats $3.20 per chicken tender! Thats very expensive! Service was bad..maybe because they were busy🤷♀️...slow to be seated, no refills if you dnt ask 4/5xs, waitress kept getting distracted, maybe she was new.
I kept on getting stared, I think theyre racist or something. I order drums and then i was contemplating on what to order next, and the cashier just interrupted me and said wings, do wings. It didnt even sounded like because it was good so he reccomended to me but instead, he just want me to finish looking at the menu. I was like, sure why not, give me those wings. 15 mins laterI got back to the hotel, i got tenders instead of wings. I was really dissapointed...I checked the recipt, it was wings and drums... but I didnt get my wings....I was not happy, because chickenbreast tenders tastes like sadness. anyways. That was my experience. Food was alright...like overpriced KFCEdit: Im asian and I felt like I just got discriminated...it felt really weird.
I was skeptical and veryyyyyy nervous to try Korean chicken BUT Im SOOOOOO HAPPY that I let my friend talk me into it! The soy ginger tikkadu chicken (was my favorite the seasoning and marinade were the BOMB)! I also reallyyyyyy loved the pickled radish and the customer service was TOP NOTCH! I will MOST DEFINITELY go back
The Best chicken in Cbus. Snow onion + Tikkudak combination was so~ good. Tikkudak has been perfectly smoke grilled with hint of spicy. Snow onion was so refreshing and source with onion made already good fried chicken to be another level. Service was good too ! Will be back !
Holy smokes, this chicken was amazing. After seeing other reviews calling this the best chicken they had ever eaten, we were a little skeptical but it lived up to all the hype. We ordered the spicy red pepper sauce tikkudak. Concerned it would be too spicy, our server let us taste the sauce before they made our food. Definitely spicy and left a good tingly feeling for a good while. But as my husband said, it was like this sauce was made for chicken tenders. We also enjoyed the curry chicken tenders which had a kick and just a hint of sweetness to balance it out.
Amazing chicken, definitely worth the hype! Soy garlic tikkudak is my favorite for the sticky glaze. Flavorful and crunchy, but not greasy. So glad that Columbus has a korean fried chicken spot. Also very clean place and the owners/staff are incredibly nice! They are very accommodating and always make sure everything is right on my takeout orders.
Great chicken and service. Went during lunch rush. Arrived at 12:30. Most tables were full, but I was seated and had my order taken quickly. I had the red hot pepper tikkudak drumsticks. 5 large drumsticks was a big lunch - could have easily split with another person. Delicious-lots of crunch with a sweet spicy sauce - spicier than most restaurant spicy dishes. My food came quickly and I was out of there 35 min after I arrived. Given some of the early reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the great service during a very busy time. I will be returning
I have never experienced this level of disorganization in any restaurants in my life.I thought waiting over 30 minutes just for fried chicken was insane. But after reading other peoples reviews waiting over 1 hour, I realized that my waiting time was not that bad.I felt bad for my waitress( young girl) she was working so hard. Despite of the craziness in the restaurant she was trying to do the best, I appreciate that.Taste of the chicken was not bad, but is it worth for the long wait? Definitely not in my opinion.Fried chicken came first and appetizer came last.Owner or manager clearly doesnt know how to handle this kind of business. They need Gordon Ramsey!!
This is the most over priced, over battered chicken, huge disappointment! The spicy garlic wings are the tiniest wings Ive ever seen, mostly breading with very little sauce for an insulting price. I have no idea how the snow chicken is a favorite, the chicken tenders again are so over breaded theres hardly any chicken and the sauce tastes like sugar and vinegar. Terrible!
치킨을 세마리나 시켰는데 무를 안 주셨네요 ㅠㅠ맛은 있었습니다I didn’t get any pickled radish with my chickens so that was disappointing. Obviously this place is pricier that what you would get in Korea but that’s about expected. The taste is pretty much the same so if you want to try authentic Korean fried chicken I recommend this place!
Perfectly crunchy, perfectly juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken! Choose bone-in rather than tenders. Highly recommend the soy-ginger glaze and snow onion sauce, or the curry with spring onions. One portion serves 2-3 people bringing per-person cost down to less than that of a fast-food dinner.
TRY THIS PLACE! Our friends told us about this and I noticed there were some negative comments but my experience was flawless. I called Sunday at 130 for an order to pickup at 230. I arrived at 230 and my order was just brought to the counter from the kitchen. I was in an out in less than 5 minutes. The food was wonderful - we tried all the flavors. There was a nice crowd in the restaurant and everyone was enjoying themselves. We will be back!!
This is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I had the curry tikkudak. It’s a sticky sauce that’s a little sweet and spicy, so good! Even it being takeout, once I got it home it was fresh and crispy. Great portions as well. One order of drumsticks can feed 2 people. I’ll definitely come back.
I ordered garlic soy chicken to go and got garlic spicy chicken. Next time I went back n asked whether garlic soy is spicy or not, he said not spicy. So I told him I ordered garlic soy but what I got is spicy. He told me that’s because some people think it’s spicy but they don’t think it’s spicy. This is nonsense and the way he talked with me is not respectful. You should offer better guide in your menu and you should respect your customer!!!
Great service and food quality! Everything was cooked and served hot, and when one of our sides was going to be late to the table, they provides us a big basket complimentary fries and white radishes! When the rice was ready, that came out steaming hot as well! 20/10 would recommend CM Chicken! Loved the staff, customer experience, and the food. Its a good thing I love so close! Haha.
Definitely one of the tastiest chicken places. However, our meal had a rubber band on one of the chicken which we assumed was from the take away boxes. Of course that was quite unappetizing to see, but the delicious chicken was good enough to make up for it. Another complaint I personally had is that our order was actually wrong the first time. We ordered the snow chicken(I think thats what its called) and the spicy chicken(again, unsure of the title). We got the spicy one but unfortunately only got a regular chicken instead of our ordered snow one which is supposed to have a special sauce on top. We got that changed, quickly enough though. When we told the waiter that we found a rubber band in our chicken, we got a 20% off discount on our whole price. Overall, the chicken was incredible and well priced, but there were definitely some downs.
My husband and I got takeout from here. Sometimes take out is disappointing, but NOT this!!! It was piping hot, ready on time, and was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Some of the best chicken that Ive had in Columbus! Service was also friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend!!!
Although the food is amazing, the wait is INSANE. I get its a new restaurant, but 1.5 hours for fried chicken is wild. We were told they were prioritizing takeout orders which seems like not the correct thing to do? I really hope they get things figured out, because the food truly is awesome.
The chicken was fantastic. They just opened so part for the menu wasn’t available yet. Supply chain shortages possibly to blame so I’m not holding it against them. Definitely busy when we went, but the wait was well worth it. We got the gochujang chicken and the spice level was great. I’m sure the service will improve as they get more staff and a good flow of things. I highly recommend.
Great food, terrible service. I came here 3 times already. The first time was just as bad. She was slow when it came to giving us the bill and boxes. The 2nd time was absolutely terrific. He was attentive and funny. This time around we had the first server and she was no where to be seen for 15 minutes. She took 10 minutes between getting boxes and a takeout bag.I recommend takeout. Chicken gizzards are good and the spicy soy tikku dak.I’d only recommend dining in if they hire more attentive servers.
Best chicken I ever had in my life! Ordered a little bit of everything: soy garlic tikkudak, spicy garlic, curry and red hot snow onion. The onions with the snow sauce is to DIE for! The onions along with the snow sauce balances out the flavors of the spicy chicken and leaves a cool, refreshing taste. For those that cant handle spicy, I recommend the regular snow onion. Ill be back for their newest item on the menu: CHEESE MONSTER!Side note- a reviewer mentioned that there were no signs for food allergies but theyre everywhere in the restaurant, framed and on the menu.
Called for a pickup and wanted to get the 5 tender lunch special, because of the sides and drink that accompanied it, and was willing to pay more; they would not allow me to purchase the meal (again, even paying more than the special price) unless I dined in. They were more than willing to let me purchase just chicken to go ... SMH... Poor customer service = losing a customer(s).
Amazingly delicious ! We drive up from Dayton. The only other place that has kfc( korean fried chicken ) this good is in L.A. and San Jose Ca ! I Always eat it too fast to take pics . If you are thinking about it get it ! You wont be disappointed ! This is an add on edit because my short review doesnt do this place justice. This is our 4th or 5th time and each time is just as good as the last ! The chicken is always moist, juicy and flavorful inside , seasoned inside and the perfect crispy crunchy outside ! The plain is delicious but any flavor you choose wont disappoint ! Snow chicken is my favorite. And I always order a whole chicken extra to eat later that night ! I should also add that they are usually busy but any wait is worth it !
I have been here twice.First time:The food was amazing, but the service was very bad. I understand being tired as a server as well as a cultural difference of how customers speak to waiters and vice versa. (My friends and I who went are all Asian, and I have also worked as a waitress, so know I’m saying this with actual knowledge.) However, our waiter did not respond to “thank you” a single time. After we finished eating, we waited 15 minutes for the server to give us our check, even though we could see him standing at the front, doing absolutely nothing. This isn’t a place where you go up to the cash register, as we saw many others receive their checks when he noticed they were done. We were on our phones half of that time with napkins on our plates, so I don’t know why he didn’t approach us. When we asked for a box at the end, he seemed very annoyed. So first time, delicious food (original and curry chicken) but bad service.Second time:This time we ordered the original chicken and the Cheese Monster chicken, which is significantly more expensive. Before ordering the latter, we asked what it was, and the waitress said it was fried chicken covered in cheese powder with a cheese dip. The chicken itself was delicious like before, but there was absolutely no cheese in the expensive Cheese Monster chicken. You could see the powder, but there was no flavor. The cheese sauce was actually very bad; MAYBE they mixed chipotle sauce with the flavorless cheese powder, but I’m not even sure because there was literally no cheese flavor. It was cold and tasted like straight up bottled chipotle sauce. Our waitress was very kind, so I don’t have any criticism for the way she treated us. However, when she asked how the food was, my friend politely told her that the cheese didn’t taste like cheese, and that we wouldn’t be using the sauce. We also told her we had ordered rice, but no worries, just please take it off the bill. We absolutely did not tell her that to make her feel bad, but to constructively give feedback to the kitchen. But her response was, “…Well I hope you enjoy the rest of the food” and left.We were confused and my friend felt bad afterward for possibly offending her, so when she came back, he told her that he was sorry if he offended her, because she was doing a wonderful job but he just wanted to give feedback for the cooks. She said it was fine and asked if we wanted it in a to-go cup. We were a bit confused since we clearly didn’t want to eat it, but said sure since we had leftover chicken anyway and our roommate may like the sauce. But when she came back, she had the rice that we had asked her to cancel 15 minutes prior in a to-go cup.I thought maybe she was giving it to us for free since we didn’t eat the cheese, but on our receipt, we were charged for everything — rice and bad cheese. Not saying we necessarily should have received a discount, but at least not have been charged for rice we did not want.I seriously don’t want to criticize this waitress the same way I did the original waiter, because again, she was very kind. However, I think this restaurant generally needs to train and watch their employees much more thoroughly, because both employees did not seem to know what to do as servers.Overall, this restaurant’s chicken is very very good, but visiting in person has just not been a pleasant experience. I recommend for the food (other than the overpriced cheese), but definitely not for the service we’ve had so far.
Tried their chicken yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! I will preface this by saying that I had to wait almost an hour for my order, but it was worth it.I had a chance to speak with the waitress and she said that all the chicken is made fresh to order so it takes longer than it would take to get wings at a local joint - at least 30 minutes or more. Also, due to labor shortages, they are struggling to keep up with the demand. Theyve had to modify their operating hours and only do takeout until 5pm.Again, the wait was long, but trust me, the chicken was worth the wait!
Food was great, but service is TERRIBLE. Ask the owner/manager for service and he pointed to our server when we didn’t even know who it was. If you see your worker struggling, help them out!! You clearly know you’re short staff so give them a hand, don’t just stand there
Service is super slow!! Couple people walked in after me by 10 minutes and they received their order within half hour. I and two other people waited an hour and 20 minutes !!!! As far as the food goes, I did not like it at all. The drumsticks were way too fatty for me and not crispy at all. Also, it was way too sweet for me.
Amazing chicken, blows Canes, KFC, and Popeyes out of the water. Only issue was how little staff there was and how service was lacking somewhat. But with chicken like this, the service takes a back seat. Literally some of the best chicken i’ve ever had.Everyone mentions spice but its only spicy you can’t handle cayenne pepper or jalapeños.
Very expensive for what it is. We ordered a little bit of everything. Red hot tikkudak wings, curry, soy garlic, snow onion, fried tenders and wings...every flavor. Usually with korean fried chicken, it comes with pickled radish cubes but we werent given any with our orders so maybe thats why all the flavors were just meh. Curry is sweet. Red hot was spicy and alright. The snow sauce was slightly sweet and creamy. And also may contained peanuts? We didnt know this because it wasnt in the description on the menu so if you have allergies, beware and ask to make sure.
Despite all the bad reviews I enjoyed this spot. They had 1 cashier. 1 server and maybe 2 cooks. The entire dining room was packed. Plus they were doing call in and take out orders.Only 1 server for about 35 people. Her hustle was crazy.I enjoyed the food. Its pricey but worth it. This is the only KFC place in town. I will be back when they have the full menu. Currently only about half the menu is I stock.
Food is as good as other CM Chicken locations. There’s a quite long wait for orders, but I get it as it just opened up. However, the service is really really bad. I have never seen a server this demanding. Please. When I order 3 water, that means I want 3 water instead of 2. Should I order alcohols at 2pm so you can get more tips? What kind of server gives customers a look because they only ordered WATER? Get it together.
Wow guys check out the reply from the owner!! I can’t believe that’s the words from the WELL EDUCATED business owner! 😂 They deleted this already, but you know what? Everyone can still see your disrespectful and rude comments.“ Im not sure if you follow the news or any current events that go on. On this planet whatsoever but there have been large supply chain issues in all sorts of industries lately maybe that has something to do with the fact that were are sold out of things maybe try being a little more educated through the rest of your life thank you” — CM Chicken OwnerHere is my original review when during their grand opening week:Went there for lunch on Sunday, more than 80% of the menu are sold out. No tenders no drumsticks, no side dishes. To owner, if you’re not ready to open, just wait😅
They don’t have a website and I live around the corner so I quickly went over to place a carry out order. They wouldn’t take a carry out order on a Saturday at 5:30- they said there was only enough chicken for dine in, which was nice and full (I’m just not currently dining in). Looking forward to having it soon, but if you’re looking for carry out, call first to check.
Service is way too slow and very unorganized. They brought out the rice first left it on the table which became cold and hard by the time actual order came in which was almost 30mins after. Came in hungry but ended up filling our belly with coke coke and coke....food is no where to be seen on the horizon. Taste is alright but not worth the wait. Oh wait half of the menu items grayed out and which ever were showing up in the menu ran out 3hrs before closing time...
Tried to eat here and was really excited about it. We walked in asked if we could order to-go and the lady rudely said, We arent doing that. Now I get it, I know people are struggling to find help, but she was rude and there was a woman leaving with 2 bags of food in her hands.
I thought it was great , and the chicken was amazing , this place is the best Korean chicken place in Ohio , and the people I was with said that they were there before and this time it was much better than the last time they came here and they fixed the taste of the chicken , also I recommend not going at busy times and thats why people have to wait so long
Actually a bad experience whatever u do don’t order this takeout asked for spicy didn’t get it asked for 2 sides of rice didn’t get it, go to meshikou chicken or canes. Only reason I’m not marching in for a refund is cause Its my only time to eat and can’t go get anything else, this place is a joke don’t come here

2022-02-22Best fried chicken Ive ever had, hands down. I tried the garlic spicy and the red spicy pepper sauces on my chicken tenders. There was a nice kick to both sauces without being overwhelming - in fact, I dipped my fries in the spicy red sauce. The menu is relatively basic but there is still much for me to try in the future. A lot of the portions outside the lunch special seem pretty big, so bring several people when you come, so you can order and try many different things.

2022-07-02This place us awesome. Great fried chicken and you get a decent amount for what you pay for. The sauces a really good and the snow onion is a lot better than I was anticipating. The chicken is super crispy and stayed crispy even though it was sitting under a mountain of sauce for at least an hour. Only downside to this place is the price. Its about 12-15$ for an entree but you can definitely share what you order between two people because they give you a lot of chicken. I could definitelt do without the k-pop playing in the background but hey, its a korean restaurant. Great place. Will definitely return at some point.

2022-03-09For those criticizing the busy restaurant with long wait times, that should be viewed as a good thing - it means they are popular, aka GOOD FOOD. If you show up at peak hours, it isnt unreasonable that you have to wait 30+ minutes to receive your fresh, made to order meal. This was our first time trying this place out, and we intentionally came around 4:30pm to beat the dinner crowd, based on the entitled reviews from people slamming the wait time. While there wasnt a line to be seated, almost every table was full with only 2 servers. I will say that they are a bit inconsistent in customer service and attentiveness, but it didnt seem to be ethnically driven, rather just a general lack of awareness in managing a fully seated dining hall. We stood by the entrance waiting to be seated for at least 8min before even being noticed, and waited another 5 minutes to receive a menu, and additional 10min to receive a water, while people who arrived after us received Waters and menus right away. This could be due to we were waiting on 1 more in our party. Our waitress disappeared, so we did have to flag down the other guy to take our order. Once order was placed, we only waited about 20min for it to be brought to our table. The portion sizes are generous! You can probably get away with just the regular size order of tenders/drums, or the half-whole order of bone in chicken per 2 people, but being our first time, we ordered a different style for each of us (3 types). The breading is super crispy and savory! The tenders are made from thick, juicy cuts of breast, and the regular bone-in style are really tender. I recommend the snow onion half chicken, which is bursting with flavor. I do wish that they offered more banchan options to compliment the meal, because when going out for a Korean meal, french fries just dont appeal to my palate. Overall, this place is worth a regular visit, and while one of the waiters was smiley-friendly and joked around with us, a lot of Asians are misunderstood because they dont typically give that warm, welcoming vibe that westerners are accustomed to. I dont usually go to non-Japanese Asian restaurants for the typical western style of friendly service, I go for the food, which CM chicken is a thumbs up!

2022-05-29This is a place I was hoping Columbus would bring back and that is Korean fried chicken. Yes there are other places in Columbus that say they do Korean fried chicken but they aren’t. This place has that flavor profile and crunch to it that I recognize to be Korean fried chicken. Excellent place to go and right near tensuke it’s perfect location. It checks all the boxes for me: service, atmosphere, and taste. Love hearing kpop play and eating tasty soy garlic chicken.

2022-05-27My friend showed me this place a while back and I love it now. I dont actually eat meat all that often but occasionally when I do I like to come here. I get the curry sauce which is on the sweet side but I also enjoy the spicy garlic sauce (the heat is like a slow burn, and taste delicious.) I also get a side of curly fries which are always good. I like to order my sauce on the side because If I have left overs the chicken wont get soft and stays crunchy but you can also get it coated if you prefer. They have gloves to keep your hands clean.Besides that they play good music and other things to watch on the TVs there, I always leave with a couple new songs I didnt know before &The servers have always been really great as well. Will definitely be back.

2022-02-27BEST CHICKEN IN COLUMBUS NO QUESTION.Ive had Gladys Knights chicken and waffles, fried chicken from Texas, NYC, Florida and this chicken is without any doubt the best Ive ever had. This chicken is crafted by the Gods, sauced and tossed in the most succulent juicy flavorful sauce youll ever have. Theres no doubt this chicken will change your life.

2022-04-15This Korean chicken is really good. I had their whole garlic chicken for takeout. It takes around 15min for them prepare the chicken and it tastes very good. One star off is due to its relatively high price.

2022-04-28First off, I’d like to make it very clear that the chicken was delicious! Reasons I put only 2 stars is due to poor customer service. As a new customer going in I walk in and see the sign PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED. A couple of the workers stand at the counter across the room staring at me and I’m staring back bc I’m waiting to be seated. I then walk to them and they ask me dine in or take out. It makes it uncomfortable for people that go to a restaurant by themselves and u just made it more awkward for me. If you want customers to sit themselves then you need to get a different sign up by the door. After I received my food not once did a waitress come ask me how my food was and never offered to fill my water until the very end when I had to wave them down and ask for a box to put the rest of the food in. And then wave down again and ask if I pay at the counter. If they were busy I would understand ….but there was 3 workers standing at the counter doing nothing just talking to each other. I would have given 1 star because customer service is important to me but the chicken was very good so I’ll give two. If you want to try the chicken i’d just recommend carry out.

2022-02-23Spicy and crunchy. Second time I went I had the curry flavor. First time I had the spicy garlic. Spicy Garlic was a little to hot for me. The curry was just the right heat. Lunch special tenders were a great deal. Huge.
