Id give it a 3 star hotel quality, our room had been redone recently so it was clean and overall nice(ish), besides the couch that definitely needs replaced and to me, shows how much managment/owners cares.. However, you can kinda tell it was junk before being redone. Walls are very thin and you can hear everyone outside. The pool was not heated but was clean and our kids enjoyed it. The tables outside by the pool were disgusting and had nasty old bubble wrap covering the top glass pieces. Definitely not worth $200 a night.
Great value for the price. Room was clean and had plenty of space for the 5 of us. The beds are very soft, some will like that, others not.The breakfast was a bit lacking, but that may have been due to covid protocols.Overall, if were passing through this way again and need a place to stay well start here.
I was worried when I saw some reviews about their room not being renovated yet, but ours was done, and it was beautiful. The breakfast was mediocre, but at least it was free. They mentioned being short staffed, but you can’t hold that against them. Everyone is right now. The pool was sort of small, which wouldn’t have been that bad, but kids were constantly jumping over top of you unsupervised... which isn’t the hotels fault. As we were packing up to check out there was a quick knock on the door and then someone immediately opened up the door to tell us that they were taking the cable box. It wasn’t a big deal, because we were getting ready to leave, but if we were changing or something, that would have been super embarrassing and irritating. All in all it looked like the pictures advertised and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Wonderful place to stay. Well advised original room had not been renovated but wanted to stay anyway as it was suite vs hotel. Upon arrival, room was upgraded complimentary. All staff and maintenance crew over a 3 day stay was very nice, friendly, & helpful. Room exceeded expectations and we will definitely stay again.
I will start with a little background. Myself, my husband and our 2 year old checked into this establishment around 6 pm on June 23rd 2021. The first thing we noticed is that its two stories with no elevators so we requested a first floor because our son still struggles with steps. We were told there werent any available (remember this) which was fine we made it work. Upon entering the room we noticed it didnt look like the pictures but much more outdated. The appliances were from the 80s. Just as an example. The door handle was missing from the bedroom door. The burners on the stove were disconnected. All of which could be overlooked. However what we couldnt overlook....When I walked into the bathroom I lifted the toilet seat to find someone elses pee and toilet paper inside! No idea if it was a previous guest or housekeeping but either way if they didnt even clean the toilet I can only imagine what else they didnt clean. So of course we contacted the front desk. They called us back and asked my husband to come down to the front with pictures. So he walked down and they informed him that they could give us another room which just so happened to be on the first floor! But they couldnt give us the room key until we got all of our stuff out of the first room. So we had to take all of our stuff out of the first room walk down the steps to another building I had to stand with our belongings while my husband walked back to the front desk in order for us to get the key card to see if this room would be any improvement. We never found out if it would be because when he walked back down to the front desk they informed him that they couldnt actually give us the room. Because they were overbooked So we could keep the dirty room or we could leave. So of course we left. We had to contact hotels.com in order to get our refund they couldnt help us at the hotel.By the time we were all done with everything we were already 30 minutes past our sons bedtime, He hadnt eaten, And of course we ended up having to pay over $200 more for a last-minute booking at another hotel. This was one of the worst experiences we have had and we travel a lot.
This hotel is just mediocre. In each room you can clearly tell it was an holder room that just has newer things glued over. Seriously my kitchen sink has a think ring of glue around it. Like?? My bathroom. It’s look like it’s rotten behind the new tiles that were very hastily glued on. It’s terrible. Housekeeping clearly empties only trash and makes bed. Fresh towels has someone else’s hair rolled up in them. Hair throughout the bed and sheets. Really gross. The breakfast lol, it’s advertised as a free hot breakfast included with your stay. Two days of defrosted jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches with no microwave working in my room or in the breakfast space. I put a piece of napkin in the granola bar basket yesterday to see if they even clean, refill it and it’s here this morning! The fruit is just brown bananas and several soft apples and boxes of cereal. I am confused about why it’s on your google search if you can’t afford to do it for your guests. There are several other options available to pick from for lodging. Don’t use this place
Checked in, front desk associate was unfriendly, I get my room key for room 501 and drive to my room to be greeted by two young boys sitting outside, one at a table the other shirtless in the grass. When I get out of my car one of the boys approaches me and asks me if I’d like to buy some shoes or toys that he has displayed in his table. I politely tell him “no, thank you” and continue walking to the door of the room my boyfriend and I would be staying in. The boy follows me and then asks me for a donation. I again tell him “no thank you” and walk into the hotel room. It smells dirty. There are leaves And dirt on the floor indicating it has clearly not been recently vacuumed. There were stains on the curtains, a cigarette hole on the dingy bedspread and patches all over the bathtub. I was baffled and brought to tears from disappointment because what I was experiencing was nothing like what the online pictures portrayed. I went back outside where I hadn’t previously noticed the trash, empty soda or beer cans, laundry baskets etc stacked up on top of the a/c units As well as strewn behind the units. (See photos) My boyfriend called the office, spoke to James and told them what had just taken place and that he wanted a refund and we were not interested in staying here as it was dirty, misleading and felt unsafe. The front desk associate was rude and replied by saying that they “have a 24 hour cancellation policy” this would have been impossible considering we just booked that day. They refused the refund and we walked away disgusted and baffled at how misleading this place is. My boyfriend and I live an hour apart and had high hopes of meeting here for a night romantic little getaway together. Don’t be fooled as we were.
First of all their pool wasn’t even open. Second they were very rude when my husband I needed help with our booking. We were told one thing by an employee the first night we stayed and something totally different when we left. Don’t book a room here unless you’re a perfect person who never makes mistakes and can predict the future. Hotel isn’t even that great-their “renovations” include awful paint jobs and the things they have hung on the walls were hanging off. Not a “suite” whatsoever. Not worth the price. It was the equivalence of a motel 8. Not as nice as you would think it would be-the pictures are misleading to say the least. Not to mention the employees don’t wear masks at the front desk.
My husband and I was celebrating our 24th anniversary. I booked the Cloverleaf Suites. Upon arriving we was like okay. We was given a room so we drove around to the room. Once in the room was a nightmare, the room was nasty and I mean nasty. I told my husband no way. I went back to the front desk and explained our situation, we was given the room that was online. I walked in and said, wrong the tub was nasty the toilet set so low it was using the toilet on the floor, all night long between the noise from the highway and the smell coming from the bathroom we couldn’t sleep. The next morning we packed our bags and got the heck out of there. When I returned home I checked my bank account and noticed I was charged $808.00 for one night. Cloverleaf debit that much on my card. It was taken me 3 days to get my money back. The hotel said it was my bank. I would not give this hotel a star at all. If you have plans on staying there please reconsider you will not like it at all. I was so disappointed.
I received a room that wasnt renovated and they arent worth the price. The rooms need to be cleaned better and updated. Ultimately if you dont have an updated room you will feel like you are staying at a motel. You can see where they tried to paint and they didnt finish. I was highly upset as I was here for a bday party. All the appliances were outdated and floor looked to have dirt on it. Really not worth the stay.
Not new or Fancy. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Good price. Outside looks like small bungalos. I liked it. We got a suite. 2 large screen tvs, one in livingroom and one in bedroom. Wall mounted. Full kitchen. Livingroom had a fireplace. King size bed, nice bathroom. I loved the shower. So yeah, Id stay there again. Easy access to interstate with all the comfort of a safe neighborhood in Dublin, OH.
Second time staying here. Our first time was in 2019 and we loved it so we decided to do a little Valentines weekend here. The place has definitely gone downhill.- The parking was absolutely ridiculous this time around.- Right when we walked into our room we both instantly smelled weed and cigarette smoke. The smell continued for both the nights we were there. Strong enough to give us both headaches and left our luggage smelling of smoke as well.- The actual hotel room in general just seemed much more rundown this time around.-There was also a considerable amount of noise the whole stay from other tenants - loud screams and groups of teenagers in the middle of the parking lot acting crazy up until 4am.There are plenty of other hotels in this area for similar or better pricing that Ill be using next time instead. Would not recommend this one at all.
Very Nice Place! (Make sure you ask for a renovated room) the newer renovated rooms are really nice! Modern feel good space! They have the BEST breakfast buffet... also included is the evening Social Hot meal served with your choice of 2 glasses of wine, or 2 cold beers, or 2 sodas you seriously can NOT beat this value! It also is in a very prestigious area... two things I didnt enjoy tho...its a little bit of a ride from downtown- and the older rooms not yet refinished feel like 1990s double wide like... but still - a favorite of mine for sure! Heated outdoor pool! Hot tub room in the courtyard... 6 out of 5 stars from me! 😁
Very nice mini suites, very clean. Need dish soap and clean sponges in the kitchen area. The staff could dress more professionals. The morning desk clerk was having aloud personal conversation when I was checking out. Do not think sweats and T-shirt are appropriate for front desk clerks.
We stayed 2 nights, in a double suite. The room layout was great and very convenient for 2 families to stay in. The kitchen counter and bathroom sink were upgraded and looked nice. The room was very DIRTY. Our feet were black on the bottom after walking around in the room. There were multiple holes in the carpet. The walls were very discolored and disgusting. As a mom with young children, I did not feel safe being outside of our room. It was very late Thursday when we got there and there were people passed out on the side walk, people whistling and yelling at us, and multiple people parting. We went to the pool for a little bit and even though we “reserved it”, multiple people were coming and going through that area. Would not stay here again. Very disappointed in the quality of this hotel.
Stayed here (9/24-9/28) for a family wedding. On the next to last day of our stay, we found a face covering/mask on the floor in our kitchen area which didnt belong to either of us. We thought this was odd because otherwise, the room looked exactly like it had when we left (bed not made, etc.).The dishwasher did not work and the hand towel holder fell off the wall.Walking around outside was not enjoyable because there were people smoking everywhere. The bed was very comfortable, the pool was great, as was the shower and the room was clean but does need updating.
My second time staying at the cloverleaf. Staying during COVID 19 pandemic 2020 in December was great. Room was very clean to the point where I felt safe about not catching COVID . The bed was very comfortable. Also water pressure and the shower head were perfect. Check in staff check out staff were polite and assisted our needs. Also it was nice that the hot tub was open during winter time. Love this place. I feel relaxed and at home when I’m here.
We had five people staying in our room. The pull-out sofa didnt quite work right, but they made accommodations for us. The room was very clean. All of the staff is so courteous and helpful. When I go back to Dublin, I will stay with them again! I cannot stress how nice the staff is. Thanks, yall! The Arkansas girls❤️
Rooms are ok. The people who basically live there are the problem. I think there are alot of construction workers in the area who live here. Every time we left our room there were people standing around drinking and smoking weed. This is not a place you want to stay with your family
No mam! The pool is not 365 its only open in summer. The rooms are not as shown on site in the picture its dated old, kitchen sink had mold on the back slash and food. The AC only worked on half the of the 2 bedroom unit we rented. The lady at the front desk super great called maintenance and got us a fan...but still went almost 24 hours no A.C and no pool to cool the kids down. I called about buffett breakfast...yes we still have it during Covid...uh no it was danishes in a wrapper. Paid for the zoo package...free parking buffett breakfast and wifi...all that is glfree anyway dont be fooled my mi got a room and was all free. Half the people at this hotel live here...peopme sitting outside smoking hollering and left their room door open and you could see they made home. Tiers and gasoline jugs left out by there doors bags of trash.Dont stay here soo mis represent
Staff were very friendly!! They offered happy hour drinks and food which was simple but nice.It seems as though they are staring to renovate some of the rooms - the room we got was not renovated but the bed was very comfortable. The only real down fall was that the room was very dark; mostly lit by lamps and the occasional over head light (in the kitchen and bathroom). The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes and pots/frying pans.IF YOU ARE A GYM RAT - this place offers access to the Life Time Fitness that is
This hotel blew our expectations out of the water. The rooms are clean and spacious. The living area and kitchen make you feel right at home. The staff is unbelievably friendly. The fact that they have a DVD player in each room with a library to pick out movies is so thoughtful. The pool and hot tub are perfect to relax in. Everything from their social hour, to the fire pit outside, the hotel van that will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius is so accommodating. I never do online reviews and this deserved a 5star +! Thank you for the great stay!!!
Let me just start off with saying the only two bad things (but really only one, that wasnt the fault of the hotel.) We had our stay booked for New Years Eve and we chose this hotel because of the full kitchen, the nice living room, nice bedroom and the fireplace. I called and asked if all of the rooms had fireplaces, and I spoke with a very nice employee that said some dont have working fireplaces because theyre doing renovations right now to make them all work. I asked if we could have a room with a fireplace, and she said absolutely. We get to the hotel, and we are greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk, we get our keys and then we make it to our room. The room was JUST like the pictures and my girlfriend and I absolutely loved it. The only issue was that the fireplace didnt work. The lady at the front desk tried to get it to turn on and offered to get maintenance for us, but we just declined because it wasnt a super big deal to us. Moving on from that, our neighbors upstairs decided to party a little too hard on New Years Eve and kept us up all night by running and tackling each other upstairs and just creating so much noise. We ended up waking up to puke and urine off of the balcony. We informed the front desk of this and they said they would have the manager contact us when she gets back from leave. Overall, the hotel management team handled this perfectly and I am so happy with their professionalism, courtesy, and overall care for the customer! The rooms are beautiful, they have a heated pool outside, a nice breakfast, and an amazing staff. We will definitely be returning!
Home Suite Home is right. This hotel was beyond my expectations! The staff was knowledgeable, pleasant, and receiving. Every need was addressed quickly and politely. The property itself is so quaint and quiet that it is perfect for a staycation or for visitors from far as well. I will definitely return in the future. Ive found a second home here and Im very grateful for it!
Great room had 2 doubles, a queen, and a pullout. Worked great for our family and the full kitchen was a plus. Only complaint the toilet ran on and off all night and every time the ac kicked on it sounded like water was pouring out of something. Kept waking me up all night so not the great sleep I was hoping for but overall probably would return.
This place is not what it seems to be! My family was excited about staying here until we got here. Drunk men walking around laying in the yard. A bunch of people drinking by the pool. People spitting on the ground by the pool. We were told that they are the people who live here...they made my kids and I feel very uncomfortable. The fire place they have by the pool is broken or does not work. All the movies they have are super old, so it makes it kind hard to try to make the best of a bad situation. I’m super thankful we only are staying one night and if it wasn’t 9pm I would have taken my family to a different hotel. Very disappointed that this was on the zoo’s website for places to stay.
Quiet and comfy! Staff was super nice and helpful, pool was clean and not very busy, rooms were very nice. Only down fall was the sleeper sofa, extremely uncomfortable, I couldnt even sit on it to tuck my toddlers in, but they didnt mind the bars and springs at all. However, the main bed was perfect! Planning to stay again in a week for the return trip home.
With all the precautions being taken because of covid 19....I felt like this wasnt taken as serious as other hotels Ive stayed in over the last 6 months. For starters leftover paper towels and tissue from the previous guests.Booked the room specifically for the fire place and it looked like it was broken and then I was told by the front desk person that is for show only. Overall... mediocre stay. Barn doors were cool!
Suite style rooms. Cleanliness is pretty good as I never want to see hair in the shower/tub/bathroom. I like my beds made tight so it doesnt look as though they were slept in just before my arrival.Staff s very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok for buffet style dining. Nice variety. Great pool and hot tub. Undergoing refurbishing. I dont know if our suite is new. Would like to have compared.
I’ll start off by saying that the rooms themselves are nice and we have stayed here in the past and had mostly good experiences (last time we stayed the room we had the counter top was broken in half when we arrived). This time was not great. Finding a parking spot was a nightmare, because it looked like people were hosting parties in their rooms and we had to park our car on the opposite end of the hotel. In addition, when we first arrived it smelled like weed outside of our room. We left to visit family in the area then when we came back it smelled like weed in our room. Finally, there were deposits/holds that were placed on our card that were not mentioned in our confirmation nor when we checked-in, but appeared on our credit card statement. We had to ask about the charge. We knew about one for our pet, but not the other one.
Absolutely let down with this hotel. The staff was friendly but the pictures are very deceiving. Our room was disgusting. The pictures made it seem modern, upscale and unique. Open the door to the smell of stale cigarette smoke followed by chipping paint, dirty floors and crooked cabinets. Not worth the money to say the least,
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the signature suites. Was very happy with the room and having a full kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful. Well enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and took advantage of the discounted zoo tickets which was an unexpected bonus. Would definitely stay there again.
Had a great weekend stay at cloverleaf suites. The pool was open even in February, the pool and hot tub areas were clean. The room was spacious and modern with a full kitchen. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the couch was less so. There was a free DVD rental, and free breakfast that was ok but nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
We really like this hotel. We stayed here one year ago and enjoyed it then as well. Great outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Our room had been recently renovated and they did a great job. The beds were heavenly. Really love that they are pet friendly, and the staff are awesome here. We will likely stay here every time were in the Columbus area. Would have given them 5 stars but they are still renovating and construction materials staged in the parking lot took up some of the parking spaces, making it a challenge to park near our room. Temporary problem though!
The staff was super nice. After seeing the room, we decided not to stay. The room next to us was partying and sitting outside on the balcony yelling at people passing by. I have a small child and it wasnt the environment I wanted to subject her to. I understand the hotel was under renovations but it was not up to my standards. I did read the bad reviews prior to booking but thought...well we all have bad experiences at times and maybe others was just overreacting...No they werent! The pictures on their site fool you! The bathroom was my biggest issue! Really runned down. The tile broken up and shower head and drain rusted and just looked nasty. I hope and pray that our room wasnt already renovated, if so they need a refund from their carpenter! But on another note, like I said previously their staff deserves 4 star...she was super nice!
This place is so nice! The breakfast is small but they change it everyday! The more we looked around and used things the more we found out and was amazed. They have their own pots and pans, silverware, glasses, plates, cups all for you to use. They have snacks you can buy up front, discounted zoo tickets, its all so comfortable and a home feel!i stayed 3 nights!
Being able to stay in a room that was more like a studio apartment was a great experience! The room was excellent & I would recommend it to anyone whos on a road trip or doing travels where theyd like a complete kitchen, living room, etc. However, I can only give this place three stars for the fact that it took us an hour to actually get into our room. We showed up around 4 (check in was @ 3pm) and because of short room cleaning staff & no communication between them & the front desk, we waited for an hour before being able to check in along with a few other parties trying to get into their rooms. Totally understand short staff & the front desk was amazing, polite & understanding - it just made for an unprofessional feel & we were on a schedule with things to do that day/night. While it shouldnt have taken that long to get into our room, the room itself was great, clean, ready to go, & quiet during out two night stay.
We LOVED our stay here with the kiddos and will be back! The complimentary open bar was a nice surprise. The littles enjoyed sodas, he was impressed with the brew selection and I had a glass of moscato. The pool and hot tub were relaxing and inviting. It felt more like a community than a hotel stay. The breakfast and dinner were also excellent. The room felt like an apartment. It felt like home away from home! Oh! Local discounts were also given for the zoo and waterpark for the guests. We were there to attend there state fair; we didnt make use of that perk. I highly recommend staying here!
Amazing stay during the holidays. There are no words to describe how comfortable we were and how spectacular the outdoor heated swimming pool was in the middle of winter. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked a room for next month.
The suite was really excellent. We had a ground floor suite which was perfect so we didnt have to lug all our toddlers stuff up a set of stairs. Loved the decor, the up-to-date kitchenette, and the true feeling of home away from home. I would definitely consider staying here again!!
We booked the 2 bedroom 2 bath and living room suite. It was perfect and could sleep about 8 people.I noticed that people are actually living in many of the other “rooms”. The facility is set up like an apartment complex. It has a small pool, nice size indoor hot tub and glass fire pit (this area opens from 7am-10pm).The morning of check out we made a quick run to breakfast at 9:05, we had been told breakfast was over at 10:00am at checkin. When we walked in we found one staff member putting away trays of food so we asked why and she told us it was over at 9am, we explained that we were told 10am but it didn’t matter. We asked if she would let us take some of the food left on the tray to our room. She rolled her eyes and said no. So instead she threw the food away.Customer service that last day was pretty bad even at check out. Check in was okay.
There are definitely some positives about this hotel. Location was convenient to the freeway, restaurants, and shops. The hotel had a heated pool, hot tub and fire pit in the area around the pool, which was a great feature. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was a lenders library of DVDs and books, which was a unique feature. Unfortunately, the room itself left much to be desired. The linens were clean and the room itself also seemed to be clean. However, there were stains on the carpet and walls. The paint was peeling/ chipped in several areas. The room did have a full kitchen and was stocked with dishes/ utensils for four. Unfortunately, the appliances were all extremely dated. The microwave had dials, I wasnt aware they even made these anymore, and it didnt work at all. The refrigerator was not very cold and took a full 24 hours before our bottled water was even slightly cool. There were areas where the carpet was coming up and a spot by the front door where the transition strip from the entry to the carpet was completely missing, definite trip hazard. The couch cushions had weird black marks on them, not sure what it was, and it was the most uncomfortable couch Ive ever sat upon.Overall, the concept of the hotel is great and the other areas of the hotel are nice, but unless they update and repair their rooms I will not be staying here ever again and will not be recommending it to anyone.
My wife and I came here for a training event nearby. Stayed two nights. The room was huge and extremely clean. The pool and hot tub were much-needed after a long drive and then a long day. The breakfast was adequate. The young woman running the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Our room was not ready when we arrived 30 min after check in. We were told to come back in another 30 min. Once we got to our room it we nice and newly remodeled. There was a party upstairs that kept waking the kids and the grounds people got an early start at 7:30am right outside my door. When we showed up for breakfast at the time told to us by reception we were rudely turned away as the time we had been given was wrong. A little hospitality and customer service could have easily smoothed all these things over but, for a hotel this bad they were even worse at apologies. The room was cheap and clean but I am still not sure it was a good value.
The rooms are beautiful. In fact we came last week and had to visit the very next weekend, however we had an emergency and asked ti stay an hour later for check out and the front desk denied us. Now ive stayed at Hotels all over and ive always been granted a late check out. I would think after spending 2 weekends here i could get an extra hour to recoop. I will be back very soon but the front desk really should learn a little more about customer service
When I checked into the hotel, their system was down, but I was already assigned a room for the next two nights that I was staying. I received my key and came back a couple hours later to check on my room. Once I opened the door, there was already a gentleman in the room! Needless to say, we were both surprised. Most of the front desk was nice and stated that they showed that he had checked out. I was then given another room and was told it wasnt clean, but would be in a few hours, meaning I was unable to use the room to get ready for the evening. I received a call hours later stating I was moved rooms again. In the room I finally stayed in, There was blood on a pillow and barely any towels or tissues were provided. Keys were inactivated almost every time I left the room, and when more towels were requested (and we were told that housekeeping was on the way), we had to track down a housekeeper on our own to get a towel. Housekeeping never stopped by the room during my two night stay either. No towels were provided by the sauna or pool. Renovations made the hotel become overbooked and no parking available due to dumpsters taking up half the parking lot.My card has been overcharged since they have charged me 5 separate times for a two night stay - I had to call my bank to stop charges and receive a new card due to my card being charged multiple times WITHOUT my consent. No one who stayed at this hotel had a good stay.Give the place time to complete renovations and to get used to the new management and maybe it will be okay, but I will never stay again.
Nice hotel. The rooms are nice, the appliances all look brand new, bed is comfortable, a pool and a hot tub, and complimentary breakfast and dinner. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere in a five mile radius as long as you give them 24hr notice. It is close to alot of restaurants, granted most are fast food. Some people were a little mad that the workout facilities were not on site, but they arent far away and its actually a lifetime fitness, so it is definitely better equipped than any hotel workout room. My only complaint is that they are going through a remodel, I am in one of the remodeled rooms and they look nice and well done, but the workers and the large dumpsters take up like 80% of the parking.
The room was phenomenal. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the very spacious bedroom suite and quite comfortable bed, as well as the separate living and cooking area. The kitchen was great to have and was well used. As was the pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. It also is nearby many restaurants, grocery stores, and Graeters Ice Cream! Unfortunately we had to leave early due to unforeseen circumstances, however the hotel management was more than willing to give us a refund for our troubles. Definitely would recommend; especially for couples and families. Stayed 8/28/15.
Stayed here back in July when we visited the Columbus Zoo, water park, and COSI. It was a last minute weekend getaway and picked Cloverleaf because its closest to the zoo and the price was amazing! Was very pleasantly surprised! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious, clean, and I love that you get a full kitchen! Pool, hot tube, fireplace area, were all very clean, warm water, clean towels. Breakfast was delicious. Loved that you can borrow movies, games, puzzles. I honestly cant say a bad thing about this property. Will definitely be staying here anytime we go to Columbus.
Its a nice place to stay. They have a outdoor heated pool and it is nice and warm. The continental breakfast couldve had a more to choose from, more than one flavor of yogurt, a waffle maker, more selection of breads/ muffins etc. Problem we had with our room was dog urine smell, screws were coming out of the bathroom door hinge and it was hard to close the door, blinds in the bedroom had 4-5 slats that had been chewed up. Since Cloverleaf took over, they are not keeping up on the upkeep of the rooms.
I stayed in Cloverleaf suites for 3 nights this past week and it was a very nice stay, despite a few issues. I stayed in one of the updated rooms. It was mostly clean, the bathroom was dirty in the corners, hair and dust and also we noticed several ants in the living room. But overall, very clean. Also, I really wish this hotel did not allow pets inside of the rooms because the rug in our living room (room 200) smelled like animal urine and dogs. it was pretty strong when you were sitting on the couch that we opted to not even use the living room area- which kinda sucked because we had to watch tv in the bedroom the every time. The couch In the living room was extremely uncomfortable too, probably one of the worsts I’ve ever sat on. Our bed was very comfortable, but our pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. The dining room was extremely overcrowded on day 3. The only other concern I had is when we checked in. We arrived about 5 pm or so on Sunday (8/4) When we first walked into the lobby, the young African American girl was sitting behind the desk in the back on a personal phone call and did not acknowledge us for about a good 45 seconds- 1 minute. When we were finally acknowledged, she did not get up and come to the desk, instead just peeked her head up and said “do you need something?” I said yes we are here to check in, she rolled her eyes and got off the phone to check us in. That was enough to make me want to leave and go somewhere else. That was my first encounter with Cloverleaf, bad representation. Once she checked us in, she gave us our key card, said our hotel is behind us and walked off. About ten minutes later once in the room, I had several questions; when’s breakfast, when does the pool open and close, zoo tickets, etc. we went back into the lobby, and when I asked she said, “I gave you a paper, it’s all on that,” but she never gave us any info or a paper. You can tell she really doesn’t enjoy her job, or she’s too occupied with being on FaceTime or a phone call, because she was very rude. Aside from the negatives, the manager (Sarah, I think her name was) was very friendly and helpful, especially when we had an issue with our third party app. We also enjoyed the breakfast, it was all homemade. It was probably our favorite part. Day one was pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, and more. Day two was eggs, ham, fruit and potatoes, etc. day three was French toast, eggs, corned beef hash, fruit, etc. The cook (Gloria, I think her name was) was very friendly as well. They had a social hour where they offered a small meal and two free drinks. Very nice courtesy to guests staying. The days I was there, they grilled hamburgers and the next day chicken salad sandwiches. They offer a 5 mile shuttle, that’s nice but we did not use it. The pool was small, I did not swim or go in the hot tub because there were too many people. But the water felt warm when I dipped my foot in, so I think it’s a heated pool. The fire table was nice to sit by. And the movie library is nice as well, that’s creative, ive never seen that before. Overall, I would probably stay again and the reason would be because of the updated room and the homemade breakfast. The reason I gave three stars instead of five is because of the extremely rude front desk girl & the pet odor/ ants in the room, in my own personal opinion, this hotel is not worth more than $100 or so a night.
When we pulled in, the sign on the street was not lit and the place was kinda dark. There was no where to park for check in, so we parked around the side.We got out of our car and two people were yelling at each other in the parking lot. Very trashy. The check in person was nice, and the lobby was clean. Parts looked new, like the carpet, others looked old and worn, like the furniture, especially in the video room. Our room looked NOTHING like the on line pictures. Carpet was worn, it smelled like smoke, and the kitchen counter was scratched and stained. We were given the stay from a friend, so we walked out without saying anything. We didn’t stay more than 7 minutes. If we had been paying for this ourselves, we would have asked for our money back for sure.
Must be renovating. It was OK. Room smelled weird. Air spray to cover up the smoke smell. Furniture in living are very uncomfortable due to being vinyl and metal. The DVR did not work. Would have been nice to know ahead of time about renovations. Needs a lot more work. Front desk staff not professional at all.
Clean, no smell, adequate furnishings. The weekend that we wanted to visit the zoo, this was the most affordable place. We were pleasantly surprised by how roomy the king room was. The hotel has not been updated in a while but it had a very nice LG flat-screen TV with digital cable and DVD. The bed was very comfortable. We will stay again when we need to make our trip to Columbus an overnight stay.
This hotel was an odd mix of good and bad. The location was outstanding, breakfast was excellent and the customer service was pleasant. The heated pool was actually heated and the hot tub was large and hot. For breakfast, there was fresh eggs, a meat, and hot carb dish along with typcial toaster items, cold cereal, fruit and yogurt. As far as the rooms went, some things had been recently updated and was nicely done while other thing were left the same leaving an odd mix in the room. The appliances had not been updated and there were issues with them. The old stove did not heat well and emitted an odd odor when used so that we had to open the door due to the fetid smell. The ancient dishwasher was not bolted into the cupboards so that you had to be careful when opening it to keep from tipping it over. We went to this same hotel almost a year ago and at the time they claimed they were in the middle of remodeling- the parking lot had huge construction crates supporting that fact. This year, the same exact crates were still there taking up quite a bit of the parking lot. We, along with several other guests, had to park off property. If the hotel would finish the remodeling and remove the crates, this property would receive a 4-5 star rating.
I went there on my honeymoon and got a signature suite. It was awesome! Beautiful Irish architecture, perfect pool, a fully functional kitchen, and the location was relatively accessible without being surrounded by other businesses. It had a very secluded feel to it. Pet friendly--- our cats had a great time climbing all over everything we didnt want them to and taking up the whole entire king sized bed for themselves and leaving no room for the humans! The one issue we ran into was that the internet went down for almost a full day, which was inconvenient, but other than that we had a lovely time and no desire to leave! Spectacular accommodations for the price.
Stayed in one of your 1 bedroom suites, it was great. Went down to the front desk for more towels and the girls down there got everything we needed. Check in/out was a breeze, the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Will definitely recommend to family and friends to stay at Cloverleaf!!☺
Not a bad to stay but the was slim and the staff was not the best. After booking a multi night stay we asked for fresh towels at 9 am, It took 3 calls for follow up before we finally got them around 7. There were also some cleanliness issues. Its a little frustrating for your 3 year old to find an empty tequila bottle under the bed and ask whats this. Hotel it self is in a nice area very close to the Columbus zoo.
Definitely a hidden gem in Ohio. Im sure of it that this would be THE place to stay pre Covid. Most amenities are closed. My fiance brought me to this beautiful place before he proposed. Renovated suites are dapper! So cute. No request was too much to ask for during our stay. Very unfortunate as to how grim the area is now. Other wise we would return.
Room was fine, has been refreshed since our last stay. However, we were in 605 - door was extremely difficult, and you had to slam the door to close it. Also, the HVAC needs some work. We had a king suite and had children on the pullout sofa - the bedroom was SUPER hot and the living room freezing. We ended up opening the doors in the middle of the night so we could all be comfortable, but whats the point of having doors to separate the spaces, if you can use them without obstructing the airflow. The kitchen appliances could use a refresh still, but otherwise the refresh looked nice. Bed was comfortable. Space was comfortable for our family of 4.The breakfast in the main building was good though - eggs and potatoes we had were both well seasoned. Fruit was a bit past prime, but otherwise very satisfied. And the desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were the for a family Christmas, and the lady at the front desk took it upon herself to print some coloring pages for my young kids (they loved that!), and the 2nd floor meeting space was nice (although it got very warm!)
The first room that we were put in was filthy. The carpets were absolutely disgusting. We called down and asked to be moved. Shiela met us at another room that smelled like bug spray. They didnt have any other rooms with 2 bedrooms so I asked if there were any rooms that were recently remodeled. Rather than have the whole family in one room, they offered us two seperate rooms. These were very nice rooms that we have enjoyed. The kids have loved the pool and discounted tix to the zoo was a nice bonus. It feels like this property is the tale of two cities. If you get a new room, youre good. If they put you in an old room, good luck.
We spent about an hour in the room and that whole time was spent calling other hotels trying to find a different room. It was dark, dirty, broken and depressing. Not at all what the pictures showed. The sign out front wasnt something I would have noticed had I not had gps. In fact, I passed it originally. Staff didnt really know anything about the hotel and had said they had never been in any of the rooms.Update- Ive been speaking to the gm to resolve my problems. I understand renovations are taking place and obviously this is not an immediate process. I really liked that there were dvd players in the living room area and the office even had dvds that you could borrow or rent. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked. I saw plates, bowls and cups. I didnt get the chance to look much further. The tv seemed nice. There was a small balcony off the king bedroom.
My husband and I loved this place! Tired from a long trip from Virginia we were greeted nicely at front desk (long blonde hair) didnt catch her name she worked night shift and was very personable! The rooms are excellent. Very spacious w a full kitchenet. Great rates and hot tub also. I highly recommend this place its a hidden gem!
Everything about it was comforting. I would have expected a higher price once we booked and stayed but certainly happy it was not as high as a Hilton or Marriot. Staff was incredible, from beginning to end of our stay. if we have to come again to the area, I will certainly book here.
Everything was nice. The people were very nice. We stayed in a suit, with a full kitchen. Rooms are all close to the main building. The only thing that I wish was a little better, was the breakfast. It is free, but the quality could have been better. Good stay overall.
We were given a great suite that was much bigger and nicer than expected, which started our stay on a high note. After a long day of driving it was a welcome place of rest. We were treated well by the staff through our stay and we will definitely stay here again when traveling through the area.
My husband and I got away for a four day trip and this hotel was like home away from home. The one bedroom king suite was so spacious and roomy with a FULL kitchen! The room was a little on the older side but that added to the charm. It was very clean and comfortable. I cant say enough about John, the pleasant, always smiling guy at the front desk who checked us in. He made sure we knew about the breakfast & dinner on weekdays (although we never got a chance to check it out) and other things that were in the area. This was a very nice location & close to plenty of stores, restaurants, bars and a nice mall close by and a movie theater right across the street!! We visited Martinos Sports Bar to watch the basketball game which was only about a three drive away. The bartender there was GREAT as well!! My overall experience in the Dublin area was fantastic!!
Okay, where should I start? Well, the toilet seat was not even attached to the toilet itself, the tv would not even turn on, the appliances had to be at least 30+ years old, the bathroom had mold in it, the pillows smelled like a sewer. Someone had to have noticed all these, but just didnt even care to fix them. When we called the people to come fix the toilet seat they did not even care about us. The people who gave this hotel a 5/5 review probably lives in a trailer or a slum. I am extremely disappointed that this hotel did not even come close to meeting my expectations, well I mean at least they had hot water. What a joke. Dont ever stay at this hotel until they renovate ALL of the rooms and when the manager actually provides the staff with the right materials for the job. Absolutely unacceptable. This is just SAD. If they dont offer you another room, just get in your car and drive away because I can assure you that you will not be able to stay even one night at this hotel. I am sorry that I was maybe a bit harsh on this review, but would still give 1/5.
Stayed here for one night after our visit to the Columbus zoo. Was a short drive there and back.A decent hotel with some character. You can definitely tell it is an older building. It seems they have done some updates here and there. But could use a bit more. The suite we were in had a full kitchen. Didnt really need it for the one night we were staying. But would be very useful if we were staying for multiple nights.Beds were a bit firm for my taste. Some damage to the rooms that could easily be fixed but for some reason havent.
This was our first hotel trip with our 7 month old. Check in as a breeze and the room was PLENTY big to set up his pack and play. The door between the bedroom and the kitchen / living room was awesome and allowed us to stay up after the baby went to sleep. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
Never have I written A review until now. Felt unsafe to go out of room because of disputes occurring outside my door (someone didn’t pay for their room so hotel staff and guest were arguing). I pay to have my dog stay but scared to even let him out. When I called About the altercation the hotel staff said they would check on it but really they just hung out outside while looking at me thru the window. Never will I stay at such a hell hole unless I plan on joining a gang. Good luck to you all.
My stay was in March of 2017: This review is for my visit and that time period - The property has so much potential! It is an amazing work of architecture. Here are the pros - Beautiful pool area, one of the top reasons I want to stay here while in town! The staff was professional and polite. Seemed eager to help in any way (pointless but ill come back to this). I was in town as a vendor for a local event and they allowed me to ship all my stuff to the hotel FREE of charge - this was outstanding and the PROS are reasons they got the three stars or else it wouldve been one star. Now for the CONS: Poor execution in most cases. Room wasnt nearly as nice as the photos of the property – I felt like this was false advertising! House keeping didnt do a great job at all. The property overall was very dirty. And… They were also doing Renovation all over the place – there was no mention of this during my booking, so when I arrived it was a mess trying to park and locate my unit! Trailers and heavy duty equipment everywhere! No parking near my unit so I had to unload double parked and then park somewhere else and walk… it was just not fun to say the least. The biggest issue was that they never cleaned up after a days work - at the end of the day so u were forced to take ur shoes off or track all types of stuff in ur room. The parking lot is full of potholes. Very run down place – the renovations are well overdue!!!. Same appliance that were installed when the property was erected - some didnt even work. Furniture was broken – missing a full leg on the chair, was even usable without being an acrobat!. Needless to say that if I could have canceled my stay after I arrived, I would have within 30 mins of being there. And as I mention – the staff was great but all they could do was apologies. The manager gave me a free night voucher good for one year but that was a waste of paper and ink to me bc I’d never be back in the area and I explained this too… So, I have a souvenir ☺
Not a good place to stay. We stayed for 3 days, no housekeeping, not enough towels, not enough toilet paper, blood on the shower curtain, over booked, backed up toilet, dirty and unorganized. The receptionist are super sweet and friendly but the management is not present and doing a very poor job. They over charged my card. Parking is so limited we had to park in a parking lot next to the complex. This is not a place worth staying.
This is an excellent apartments style motel. Each suite is like an efficiency apartment with a seperated bedroom and livingroom/kitchen: including a full sized fridge, stove with oven, microwave, & dishwasher; as well as cooking and dinnerware. Though we only stayed one night, I would be comfortable with an extended stay. Four slept comfortably with 2 beds and a pull out couch. There is a nice common area with a heated pool, spa pool, and fire pit. Hot continental breakfast was nice in the morning. There are too many small extras to list. Every member of the staff was very nice, and willing to help with anything we asked for. Excellent stay, we will definitely be back when we next visit the area.
Misleading website description of king signature suite. Suite description on homepage detailed roaring fire place and rustic sliding barn door, our suite was missing both. Service at check in was fine, underwheliming but okay. We requested a room away from others and quiet. We received a room with someone directly above us and next door, while the rest of the building sat nearly empty. I can attest, walls are thin. Check out service was slow for our liking. Hotel rooms were clean and kitchen spaces are nice though. Not nice enough for us to return though.Feed back to ownership- we will not be back or reccomending your services. Your website stated our signature king suite would feature a fireplace it didnt. It also said it would feature a separated bedroom with closing barn door, it didnt have a barn door. In fact it had no bedroom door at all. Your staff should be more attentive to accommodate needs of guests. When someone states they would like a room away from others, do it. Especially since your occpunacy clearly allowed it.
Dont count on the room you reserved to be available. We reserved a signature king suite. We arrive at 4:10 pm after driving for hours and no king suites available. So disappointed and upset. How did they sell the room I reserved with a credit card. No I dont want a discount for another room. So glad the hotel next door had King Beds available. The last thing a weary traveler needs is an unreliable hotel. Think Twice about this location.
My husband and I were short term residents at this amazing place. We were there for 6 weeks while our house was being prepared and I’m telling you it was great!! I love that Everything your heart desires is within a 2 mile radius and the staff there couldn’t have been better if I created them myself. Kudos to the Cloverleaf Suites for accommodating me and my little family and making me feel comfortable.
A clean bed and a warm room was all I needed. Breakfast was good but only ran from 6am to 9am. The room had a door air leak so the heater ran all night. If youre staying here, make sure you check your room out before committing to it. They are a bit dated and have some minor issues.
Stayed last week. As I drove back to my room, the parking lot is in need of repair. My room was in the back and the highway was loud, but inside I couldn’t hear it. The room smelled musty and had old carpet, but was otherwise fine.Breakfast in the morning reminded me of a comfort inn. Styrofoam plates, bread, canned mixed fruit, and sausage gravy and biscuits. I can’t stand eating with styrofoam, and the coffee cups were very small, so I walked over and ate breakfast at the Hampton next door. It was sharp and new inside, and for a similar price, will be my choice on my next visit.
My wife had found a crazy cheap deal for Cloverleaf last year, so we went down with the lowest of expectations. We were shocked at how great of a value the suites were. The room was large, with recently remodeled bathrooms. The carpet and kitchen appliances (yes, each suite has a full kitchen) were older, but at under $100 a night, Im not sure I care. The place feels homey, and the clubhouse is gorgeous. The only consideration that requires a bit of foreknowledge is that the place runs a skeleton crew at night, so if you need anything from the front desk, it might take quite a while. The real test is not a simple review-- we have had occasion to go to Columbus two more times, and both times we stayed at Cloverleaf.
Well Ive found a much better bigger and more importantly value priced alternative to all the other regular motel or inns . This place has everything in the king suite with queen sofa bed a full kitchen fully stocked stove and oven dishes pots and pans full size fridge and microwave. 2 flat panel tvs tub and shower. Nice. We made steaks and had beer. Here no driving just here with the kids. Pool is nice. when you check in they let you know about the snacks and beverage social hour. Free beer and wine with appetizers! All this for the same price as the Quality inn next door. Breakfast was freshly prepared and restocked throughout the morning I watched as they made scrambled eggs and ham they had french toast and cereals as well. Its about the same as any other motel.Enjoy yourself as we did. I will be here whenever I come through again
Lindsey was extra nice at check-in. I did not get the names of the ladies serving the breakfast, but they were also very welcoming. We stayed in a Signature King Suite room. Nice, big room. One complaint I did have is that the room description stated there would be a fireplace and ours did not. The photos were a little misleading but still a nice room.
If I could give this place a worse rating I would. All I can say is if you stay here, pay in cash and dont expect any help from a capable employee or any member of management if a problem comes up.I booked a large suite for 2 days in January to celebrate my birthday with some friends from out of town. The first night, no issues. I even decided to get the suite for an additional night after the first evening there. I get there, pay with my credit card and check in. The next night we left to go out that evening. When we return to the suite there is absolutely no heat in the room. I call the front desk and get a lady who was clearly very new and not trained very well. She could only tell me that the maintenance people were not available at that time and to make due. And the silly thing was, for 20 minutes we actually tried to. We tried to bundle up and go to sleep. Impossible, we see each others breath it was that cold.So I walk over to the front desk and explain to the clueless clerk about the situation and ask to be moved to another suite. She is frantically trying to call her boss and type on her computer. She looks up another suite that is about the same size and gets me keys for it. So I walk back, let my friends know we are moving over to a different room. We spend the next half hour packing up and moving all of our things over to this second room. Well guess what? The room is divided in 2, with a door in the middle. And that door is locked. We can only get into half of this suite. I call the front desk and ask to get the door unlocked so we can get to the other side of the suite so my friends can sleep in the other 2 beds. No dice, the clerk says she cant get access to the key. What is going on with this place?! She offers no solutions of her own to this problem at any point. I ask if she can just put us in 2 small rooms next to each other. The 2 rooms she puts us in are nowhere close to each other! So once again we have to move our belongings to another location, and then separate and figure out who is sleeping where. The next day I call the desk and get a different clerk who seems a little more knowledgeable. She assures me that the night before was handled very poorly and that I would be given a discount once the manager came in that day. At no point did management talk to me again.Fast forward a month from that horrible weekend. I get billed by them, and TWICE! I thought I paid that weekend so getting hit twice on my card a month later makes no sense to me. Combined its over 530 bucks. That doesnt even look like any sort of discount, even if they waited a whole month to bill me. I called the hotel asking what is going on and off course I get a clerk who cant give me any answers and a manager that isnt available to talk! It is the next day and no one from their management has attempted to contact me.I am writing up this review of this ordeal to warn others to stay away from this place. Their staff seem very unprepared for anything outside of their normal duties. Management seems nonexistent. They dont follow through with any questions or promises made. They overcharge despite what they tell you. Their customer service is complete garbage. If you get a room that actually provides what is promised, consider yourself lucky.
This hotel made traveling with an infant for first time parents less stress and almost dare I say, easy. Not only were they thoughtful and had us on the first floor- they front desk was able to help us with extra towels. The response time was quick. Everyone we encountered was lovely.
This was our 4th stay at Cloverleaf Suites Dublin. Our family just loves it there! The rooms are spacious with a large living room and full kitchen. The bedroom is able to be separated by french doors too. We have two young children (ages 3 and 5.) They share the pull-out sofa and can watch their cartoons in the living room while mom and I relax in the king size bed, enjoying our own programming on a separate TV. The kitchen contains a full-size fridge, sink, and stove which is a big plus (even though we rarely cook in room.) The private entrance to our room is nice too. Did I mention the heated outdoor pool? The kids LOVE IT! The only CON is that the rooms are a little dated but are clean (which is very important to us) and the staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating. For all you get, this hotel is truely a bargain when you compair ammenities to similar places in the Columbus area. My wife and I highly recommend this hidden gem!
Cloverleaf Suites-Dublin exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They let us check in three hours early, took initiative to install carseat bases when using the shuttle to the zoo, came to the room and took our coeoler and filed with ice, etc. Happy hour was a pleasant bonus, and we had a nice hot breakfast to enjoy. The staff was amazing and we will definitely be back!
Great place to stay while visiting the Columbus area. The amenities are nice and the rooms are great. Wish we would have had a chance to check out the breakfast but the beds were too comfortable to leave and we slept in. Will definitely choose them again when staying in this area.
I usually love this place and would normally give 5 stars except the swimming pool was way too cold to use. I get so disappointed when I look forward to the pool and it stays open 365 days a year but if it’s not warm then they should just close it! I still gave 4 stars because I know the rooms are nice and clean. I won’t be staying again unless they turn up the pool temperature!
Nice outdoor pool and fire pit and adjacent indoor hot tub. Rooms are very nice with full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, full size oven/stove, kitchen sink, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc. The kitchen extends into a living room with a pull out couch and easy chair/ottoman. The bedroom is separate where we had two full size beds. Doors permit the bedroom to be separated at night so the kids could sleep while the adults relaxed in the living room. The bedroom and living room each had flat screen tvs with many cable channels. No elevators so if you have a 2nd floor suite you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs.
Always try to stay here when Im in town, always disappointed if they are full, rooms are basically apartments with full kitchen/king suites and always clean, front office staff is always extremely friendly and professional. 5 out of 5 for making us always want to come back!! Home away from home!!!!
Nice place to stay, very clean, each and every staff members are so hospitable, I stayed 3 weeks in room no 329. Very good experience, nice pool, separate grill to have BBQ near pool, I loved their breakfast and hi tea get together, I made lots of friends there. Unforgettable experience of my life. Thanks cloverleaf for giving me such a good experience. All the bestAjay solankiCharleys.
We had a reservation for 2 queen with a pull out couch. When we arrived, our room was not ready. So we continued on with our day. We tried calling the staff multiple times and they did not answer the phone and when they did, they put us on hold for what seemed forever. When we got back to check-in, they didnt have the correct room for us and only had a King room available. We had more than 1 couple, so thats clearly not going to work. When we explained this, they were not apologetic, and extremely rude. Terrible customer service. We will never book another room with this place and would never encourage anyone else to either!
This hotel is the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. The maids are the worst ever. They just make the beds and call it a day. If you have kids get them inside before the sun goes down because this place turns into a drug dealing prostitution ring facility. I dont have time to tell you just how bad and shady this place is. It should be shut down. Do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere. Trust me!!!! If I could post pictures I would just to prove how bad it is.
This is the worst place ever...DO NOT GO HERE!!!! We checked in and paid 143.72 for a room for one night. Check in is not until 3pm so we went to the zoo and didnt actually check into our room until like 5 when we got back. They did provide a shuttle for free to and from the zoo which was nice but honestly, it still wasnt worth it! Upon getting into our room we looked up at the ceiling and noticed this huge pink rubbery glob on the ceiling between the beds and bathroom area! I have no idea what it was but clearly it could be removed and was literally like the size of an IPAD but looked like and oversized piece of gum! Then I go to pull the sheets back b/c I always check for bugs and other stuff as my normal routine at hotels, and when I pulled back the comforter there was two or three strands of long curly hair lying right there on the top sheet...EWE!Then unfortunately after five minutes of being in there, we were going to get dressed to go swim with our kids but our 4 year old fell off the bed and hit the corner dresser and busted his head open so we had to abruptly leave and take a visit to the clinic to get staples. I immediately tried picking up the phone next to the bed to call down and ask where the closest clinic or hospital was but there was no corn in the phone! NO WORKING PHONE and my cell was dead! So I just gathered the kids up and went down to the desk to ask personally and the girl Lindsey behind the counter said well I can google you something if these people in line dont mind waiting!Dont mind waiting...really? Sorry but a bloody gashed head should take precedence over checking people in and out...especially since you dont provide a phone for emergencies anyways! I ended up getting help from another guest and he let me use his phone to call someone and find out where to take the child for staples! This took some time so by the time we got to the Lifetime fitness place to take advantage of the free pass that comes with staying at this hotel, it was 7:40 and they closed at 8 for kids to swim. So we got in the pool as this was a very nice recreational place and I wish I would have known their exact hours before we planned our day.We literally were there for 15 minutes and had to get out b/c they close family swimming at 8pm even though the actual place is open till 10 for adults. But back to the room...so by the time we left there and got back to the room it was now 8:15 and the hotel pool says it closes at 10 on the sign but the lady at the desk told me 11 so we werent sure but I had kids that desperately wanted to swim for a few hours! So after we swam and went back to the room for bed it was not close to 11 and as exhausted as I was, I did not feel like fighting to get new sheets, new room, new phone. I will also say that there is not enough parking spots as they have dumpsters set up all around the lot in various places b/c they are refurbishing the hotel. The only problem is that the way theyve placed the dumpsters takes up the entire space where you can fit about five cars so that means a whole row of parking is useless and you end up having to park way far from your room or on the side in the back where there isnt really a real parking space! So by now my kids are exhausted and so am I. But I just felt I should call down and let them know about the problems I have had thus far! I called around 11:30/12 and spoke to a man and said Id be down in the morning to say more. Then upon checking out, breakfast closes at 9. I got in there at 10 til and no food was even left! I complained to Lindsey about everything and the guy in front of me was receiving his credit for similar problems w/ his room and she said she would credit me 60 towards my $143 bill. She had an attitude and acted like she was being bothered and told me she knows the housekeeping sucks but that shes heard it now from me several times and shes listening but theres only so much she can do! Well I got home and checked my bank online and here she charged me another 60 instead of refunding me! Calling back today!!!!!!!
BEWARE BED BUGS!!!!!! I stayed here last night and this morning awoke to a bed bug on my pillow. The maintaince guy was wonderful and confirmed it was indeed a bed bug. The manager Connie was absolutely terrible. She dealt with the situation unprofessionally and lied to us. She would not provide us with an incident report and would not give us someone else to speak with. We spent the whole day dealing with this instead of enjoying or family. Very unhappy. I usually do not write reviews but felt so strongly about this and would like to help anyone avoid the same situation that I was in today. The response from the hotel is ridiculous. They would only give us $50 for the cleaning. We had a dress four suits two luggage sand two bags full of clothes. $50 would not cover it all so we were forced to drive 25 min to the only place she would cover all of the costs after buying new clothes so all of our clothes that exposed to the room could be laundered. Plus when we got home it appeared that the company did not wash everything. We truly believe they just folded some of our clothing. So we needed to rewash and steam sanitize everything. She refused to even look at the picture of the bug. The maintaince guy CONFIRMED it was a bed bug. He is not an idiot and anyone looking at the picture could identify it as a bed bug. I honesty think she did not even call the company to take a look because she refused to let me know what company and when they would be there. Beware. Im just hoping another family does not have to deal with this. I just read another review that she refused to refund another couple who just delivered a stillborn who gave 36 hours notice that they would not be there. What kind of establishment is this? Unbelievable. I had written an email requesting to speak with the owner on Sunday night and I still have not heard from anyone from the facility. They simply do not care.
We have always stayed here for long lengths of time during the time we work in Ohio. Have never had an issue until this stay. We’ve stayed here for the last 7 nights, and 5 of those night the fire alarm has gone off including tonight, this one lasting 45 minutes so far and still carrying on. At approximately 12:30am I was startled to a pounding at my door, answering it to the night shift manager walking right into my room, without hardly a word said, inspecting my room and what I was doing to ensure I wasn’t smoking or cooking anything I shouldn’t be... at 12:30am..And upon our stay this time I had an IPad to HDMI connector that was plugged into my personal HDMI cord in the back of the tv. I left my connector and HDMI cord plugged into the back of the tv as I left for work in the morning, returned that evening after work to find that my connector was missing but my HDMI cord was still plugged into the back of the tv. And during the same stay my coworker had an iPad charger plugged into the lamp between the beds and returned from work with that missing as well. Contacted the front desk about it being taken and the front desk responded with “we will ask room service about it to see if they had found anything.” To which my coworker replied “it has nothing to do with it missing. It has to do with someone taking it.”We have been always huge fans of the cloverleaf, but after this stay, it’s safe to safe to say we will be checking out tomorrow and staying some place else.
As soon as we walked in to our suite, we were awed by how it felt like a luxury apartment! Full kitchen and everything! It made our trip that much more enjoyable. After we move to Columbus, any time friends or family from out of town visit, we will recommend Cloverleaf first!
Terrible. Its 1:32 AM as we speak and Im awake because it sounds like a 747 is coming thru the wall the air conditioner is so loud. The bathroom and tub is disgusting. Couldnt even give our 2 year old daughter a bath because of old soap scum and hair all over. Everything is outdated completely. The light over the kitchen sink is falling halfway off. Its dirty. And when I went down to the front desk to try and get a refund because of the nasty bathroom they wouldnt do a thing. Acted like they didnt even care. And for 150 bucks we didnt just bite the bullet and leave. We should have. The zoo tomorrow is going to be interesting because none of us can sleep. My most horrible hotel experience ever. DONT EVER STAY HERE!!!! PICTURES ARE DECIEVING!!!
Very nice rooms, no mold or bugs, clean and safe.Workers are resourceful and kind, the pool and hot tubs are clean and fun, the hotel its self is neat and I very well enjoy this hotel, I been to a few in big cities and this one is the best for me and I would very well recommend it.
My family and I just came back from from Dublin, OH where we had an amazing stay at the Cloverleaf Residence Suites. The staff could not have been nicer and the rooms were just perfect for us. We had a 2 room suite and we will defenitely be back. Thank you for making our trip to Dublin a great experience.
Poor customer service practice, beware! I booked a reservation 2 months in advance, called night before, they confirmed room was on hold. Drive my family 12 hrs to destination and my room was overbooked. Front desk and back office staff offered no apology, found no solution and instead blames this party vendor for mistake. I was left to scramble and find my own solution, luckily I got the same type of room at another hotel (forced to pay $400 more). Already upset over how I was treated, I called back to speak to GM next day and was promised resolution. Week goes by nothing, so I decide to reach out to corporate. I finally reach VP Customer Service, Joe Brison. Had a good conversation with the bucks stop with him VP, he refused to make the situation whole, now 20 days after incident, we settle in a $200 refund, which he promised via check (postmark Texas office) in 10 days. Its now 62 days later, no check or apology. I called him back, day 20, 30 just empty apology and no action taken to resolve. Now, I get silence...next step for me? I assume get the BBB involved to help. Be careful, avoid booking with this hotel or any in their fleet of spaces, if thats how corporate handles these issues. I encourage corporate to review their customer care practice, they totally missed the mark from start to no finish in sight.Follow up message- reached out again to corporate office. Once again, they lead the industry in cricket response and simply poor customer service skills to resolve issue THEY created. Very poor service.
Room was not at all what was in pictures. Old appliances and hastily remodeled also not very clean. We were unable to park near our room because construction vehicles are allowed to take up the spaces and even block off spaces with cones. Not an easy venture when you have small children and luggage.
We have a family with two small children and prefer a hotel that is more an apartment-like layout to give our family enough space and coincidedly enjoy amenities of a hotel suite. Cloverleaf suites as a chain meets these needs. I can say the modern layout at some locations is top notch. The Dublin, OH hotel is not totally updated and I would say they are at approximately the 25% of completion mark in their conversion. Much of the hotel room still reminds you of 1980s/early 90s layouts. I would say it is a little overpriced at this juncture vs. the same price we got for a very modern and clean Cloverleaf in Cincinnati, OH. Below is my pros and cons of the hotel in its current state...PROsLarge rooms with fully furnished kitchenette with stove, microwave, full-size fridge, seperate bedroom(s)Cable tv with lots of channels4 DVD rentalsVery cleanModern TVsModern bathroom layoutUpdated sitting furnitureClassic dressers and tablesSocial hourCONSbathroom door lock did not workFront door was dented and hard to close and lockSmelled of cigarette smoke (probably in the old carpet) although ironically they have you sign an agreement not to smoke in the roomsVery old outdated draperyOld appliancesRefinished dry wall was cracked in the bathroomAntiquated thermostats with the old heat/cool options rather than a temp range control
The location in Baton Rouge was a disaster. The first room’s A/C was broken so we had to change rooms. The second room’s Tub would not work. I tripped over the threshold and hit my eye on the iron railing leaving with a black eye. When I went to eat my leftovers three roaches came out. I went to check out and ask for refund however lobby was locked. We woke to no power. The manger would not even discount the room. Corpret office still has not returned a phone call.

2022-01-09Beautiful suite, comfortable and very clean. The full kitchen was nice, stove, dishwasher and basic dishes etc available for use. The bed was very comfortable, crisp white sheets and abundant pillows too. The little living room had a pullout couch if additional sleeping space was needed, and extra blanket and pillow in the closet ready to go. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water too. The pool and firepit looked lovely, and though we didnt get to check it out the nice lady in reception offered their library where you can borrow movies, books and boardgames if you like. The location was great, we went to a Kroger and a wonderful restaurant called 101 Beer Kitchen nearby, and there was plenty of parking. Overall Great experience!

2022-03-03Some of the appliances are a little outdated, the room Im in kind of smelled like wet dog when I first got here, and the place needed a a good wipe down. However the breakfast was excellent, the gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful, the kitchen and reason I say 5 stars actually offers an entire stove (which I have not seen at any hotel) not just your typical 2 burners set up, and this place just feels right kind of like feeling at home.

2022-06-19This is truly a hidden gem the place is amazing and staff is amazing we will not stay anywhere else when here. There pool was not in working order and they called the hotel next to them to see if we could swing there and the Hampton Inn said absolutely 😀 they are very friendly I would stay at both places.

2022-04-17Check in was smooth, and its been downhill from there. The room was poorly cleaned prior to us checking in. The garbage wasnt emptied at all. Once we unpacked I went to make a bag of popcorn, only to find a bowl with potatoes and a mystery sauce in the microwave (which is at least 20 years old). While the potatoe soup outside I noticed something sticking to my sock. It was a used bandage I picked up in the room. While walking to the front desk to let them know the condition of the room I spoke with a lady who has been here a few weeks and she said that theyve recently switched to new management and its going downhill quickly. Spend the extra $20 a night and stay elsewhere.

2021-04-18We wanted to rate the room a 2.5 but that wasn’t an option. Upon arrival, the woman at the check in desk was nice. She was friendly and helpful. We made a reservation for the hot tub and she told us we needed to stop there to get the pool towels and where to return them.Once we arrived at our room, we were surprised to see it was a motel type room and there wasn’t an elevator. When we opened the door, the room was disappointing. The pictures we saw online were definitely not of the room we were given. We were thinking there would be 2 queen beds in one room and 1 king in the other. We had 2 doubles and 1 queen. The heat was on and the room smelled like musty, cigarette smoky air. We had to leave the door open and we cranked the air conditioning. There was a hole in the bathroom wall behind the door. The living room area screen was ripped and the fireplace tiles were cracked. The door bolt was very difficult to lock. We had to push very hard on the door to get the bolt to close. There was not enough seating for all of us to be in the same room without sitting on the floor or to be sitting comfortably. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable. We noticed the parking is limited. We had two vehicles and didn’t want to move our cars because we were afraid we would not have a parking spot when we returned. We were not comfortable parking our cars where we couldn’t see them.We changed our hot tub reservation to the following night (Saturday). We went to the reception desk to get our pool towels, as we were told to do the day before by the friendly receptionist, and we were met by a very unpleasant employee who barely spoke when we asked for towels. She handed the pool “towels”, which were the size of hand towels, and pointed to the bin where they needed to be returned. Then she walked away. After our time was done, we returned to the front desk to return the pool “towels” to the bin and we requested clean room towels for the next day (*we did not get new towels during the day). The unpleasant woman said “well I don’t know if they left any”. We asked her if she could check since we didn’t want to use wet towels the next day. She came back with the towels and said “make ‘em last, this is all I have”. Very unprofessional and rude. The location was perfect for what we needed. We do, however, feel we were mislead and it was false advertising with the online room pictures.

2021-07-30After reading some of the reviews we were a little worried but still booked because everyone has their opinion whether it be good or bad. Im glad we did because this place was amazing! We were just staying 1 night on our way to NC. Super nice staff, very accommodating, clean room and so cute! We enjoyed our stay and already booked for the way home. I cant account for other peoples bad experiences but ours was great! Dont ever judge based on a bad review, some people are just negative in general ;)

2021-10-01Upscale? Haha, this is what I walked into just a couple weeks ago. Definitely NOT upscale. Carpet was filthy, the shear curtains were falling off of the rods, appliances were extremely dated (the burners on the stove were disconnected and questionable), you could smell stale smoke, and the couch couldnt be any more uncomfortable. The only saving grace was that the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Be sure when you are booking that you are getting one of the newly remodeled rooms that they advertise in their pics. And I recommend that you ask to see the room they have given you BEFORE you lug everything up the stairs.

2021-07-02Room was immaculate and newly redone/tasteful. Bed and linens felt fantastic. Roomy, great value. Enjoyed the spa tub (weather wasnt nice enough for pool). Breakfast was nice its complimentary, simple w so.e scrambled eggs, sausage and cold items. Close walk to downtown Dublin, shops, trails etc. Really great spot and suite and very much enjoyed my short stay there!
