Pricey but you definitely get what you pay for! Lots of interesting problems to solve and routes are regularly reset. Clean location with thoughtful touches like bathroom amenities, as well as a small area for weight lifting, a ping pong table, and the occasional weekly yoga class.Don’t feel intimidated because climbers of all ages and experience are welcome here. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions. I’m really happy this location opened up, it’s convenient to have a gym so close to the Oakley/Hyde park area! This facility is focused on top rope versus the blue ash location which is primarily bouldering.I wish I found climbing earlier in life. I just love everything about it, the mental and physical challenge. Unfortunately, I really hurt myself last month here bouldering (fell with my arm locked, dislocated my elbow and tore some ligaments) I have a ways to go as far as recovery but I hope I can return in a few months and keep at it. I was making so much progress! At any rate, thanks for keeping this place so well run and sharing the joy of climbing with everyone who walks through your door!
Its really nice having a gym closer to me! The boulder problems well set, you will never be too short or too tall to complete any given route, absolutely love it. VERY clean facility, feedback board is a great touch. Personally my favorite gym in the Cincinnati area, if its the people, lighting, music, or climbs i do not know, but its a killer facility.10/10 would send again
I love this gym! Ive been climbing at the other location for a year now. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming,I but Im so impressed with the new gym. The facility is awesome and the routes are well set, challenging and fun. I highly recommend this gym whether youre an experienced climber, or a beginner looking for something new!
Fantastic gym with excellent setting. The lead wall is more steep than what it looks as well as gently overhung and vertical lead climbing. They are going to get a tension board so it will just get even better! Great facility ran by great people that listen to the feedback of the climbing community!
5 stars for service, and for actual climbing. A lot bigger than climb time blue ash, although I feel like getting space for a gym like this is a challenge in itself. A good amount of bouldering, and top rope/lead walls wall height is very nice as well. Problems great for beginners, and experts. Great to come alone, but always better with friends!
Great place to top rope or boulder. The building is massive so there is a lot of availability for routes. Theres two main sections for bouldering, one on the first floor one on the second. If you dont know how to belay there are auto-belays available to climb with. Theres also an available ping pong table and bench press in case you want to take a break from climbing and do something else
By far my favorite place to climb in Cincinnati. The top rope and lead walls are well set and changed regularly so it never gets stale. I prefer the bouldering at the Blue Ash gym, but its pretty good here too. Also, the facility is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Over all it is a great looking gym. The staff is super friendly and there is a lot of real estate for belay work. There is spots for bouldering but it falls flat. The route work is extremely confusing with multiple routes of the same color near each other or intersecting. Lastly there is no safety down climbs which creates a hazard for some beginner climbers who run out of stamina. So A for effort. A for presentation and facility. C- for routes. Hopefully since the facility is relatively new they will bring in some experienced route setters to help it balance out.
I am a huge fan of Climb Time! The Oakley location has numerous walls for both bouldering and rope climbing. They reset routes at a good pace; just enough to finish the ones that challenged you the last time you visited before tackling new ones. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, answering any questions you may have and providing assistance. Its beginner, intermediate, and advanced climber friendly; theres something there for everyone!
Not ecstatic with the experience so far. I just moved to town, but quite honestly, all of the gyms in town seem to have similar practices. Ill continue to go because it is very close to my home and it doesnt seem like any of the other gyms are much better.Positives:• The staff is very friendly. I appreciate how welcoming they were• The walls are great and they seem to change the routes semi-frequently• Routes have a competition feel to them, which I love• The bouldering has some good variation to all of it• The shop is modestly priced• Their covid protocols are pretty good for the most part except for one complaint belowNegatives:• They are not enforcing proper lead technique very well. Im pretty sure I saw an employee oversee some lead climbing where the belayer had his hand off the GriGri completely while belaying rope and then would put his hands on it only to feed slack which caused a delay in providing slack and could prove dangerous to the climber. Made me nervous to watch• No water on the gym floor - sealed bottle or otherwise• No mock lead - not even with a five foot rope. Sucks for anyone new to town (myself) that wants to get some lead practice in without knowing anyone to climb with• Cant be barefoot during the pandemic, but climbers can go shirtless and rub up against the community gym ropes? I have a bias against shirtless gym rats so maybe this is a me thing. Whats even more weird is that they allow you to walk around with your normal shoes on the mats, as if thats sanitary?• The gym hours are very non-worker friendly. Anybody that works heavy daytime hours have very small windows to go in. Would be great if there was a gym in town to offer 6 am opening hours (especially for those of us that want to socially distance responsibly during non-peak hours).• Its crazy expensive compared to other rock climbing gyms that offer yoga, gym equipment, and other benefits. $70-80 a month and you get climbing. Nothing else.Edit: cant figure out how to reply to your comment below so Ill reply here.Even if Im mistakened about who was an employee in the vicinity of the climb, there were plenty of employees roaming and this went on long enough to be spotted. I almost reported it to the desk staff, but it was so blatant and for so long that I assumed it was common practice for this gym. I appreciate the response and hope you recognize this as an honest review and not a disgruntled customer.
Dad Daughter Day DateWow what a great place for some indoor activities. My daughter and I had fun for a few hours until we were exhausted. The staff was super friendly and very helpful.Very clean and safe environment.Good place for kids birthday parties or team building. We will be back.
Top tier climbing facility, loved climbing here and wish I still could but moved out of the area. They did an excellent job of rotating routes and problems and offering climbers of all skill levels a place to hone in on their craft! Great ownership and would recommend this place easily!

2022-03-25This was a really fun experience for my 11 and 12 year old! Theyre on a climbing team at home in Kentucky, but to spend time a different gym was enjoyable! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and other climbers were welcoming as well!

2019-09-01Its an amazing facility for all levels of climbers. Our whole family enjoyed the routes, problems, and auto belays. I like how when you walk in theres a bouldering area, which makes it feel more intimate. If you want to get some endurance or train for the Red this is a great place to do it. Great location!

2022-07-27The walls are the new-style sandpaper that tears up your skin, clothes, and shoes. Stuck up staff. Overall, bad atmosphere and too expensive for what it is.

2022-01-04We are new to climbing and absolutely love Climb Time! There are routes for beginners and plenty more to grow into. They have several areas for bouldering, so plenty of room to climb. The workers love climbing and are great in answering questions. I highly recommend their belay class - good, patient instruction and they make sure you know the process well!

2022-04-02Awesome. We had a birthday party for the kids and they had a blast. One of the employees, Daniel helped the kids and was incredible. He talked to the kids, asked their names, encouraged them and gave them a huge confidence boost.

2022-05-23They rarely ever set new routes. Nice gym, but don’t join if you want somewhat frequent route setting - especially for auto belay

2022-06-28This place was everything I had hoped it would be and much more! And Daniel, this man was so helpful in directing and teaching myself and the group that I brought along to Climb Time. I will for certain be coming back as regularly as I possibly can.

2021-05-04This is my favorite rock climbing gym! The atmosphere is nothing but friendly. Even though there are some really tough walls, and its definitely a great place for experienced climbers, Climb Time is really friendly to climbers of all skill levels (even if youve never climbed before!). The staff are super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. If you dont have equipment, you can rent it for a pretty low price and its still good quality stuff. The pricing here is also really good in comparison to other places Ive seen. I cant wait to come back!

2021-01-14My home gym away from home, I make sure to visit Oakley every time Im in the cincinnati area. The gym is bright, the holds are fresh, the routes are original, and the staff is helpful and friendly. With a varied boulder wall, dedicated training area, moonboard, suite of autobelays, toprope, and lead routes. If youre coming through the north side of cincinnati on your way to the red or new river this summer, make sure to take a pitstop, get out and stretch, and train indoors a bit. Itll be worth it.
