Good community of climbers at this gym. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Excellent setting! Definitely my favorite for bouldering in the area. Problems are difficult at this gym. Good variety of walls and holds. Great addition of a bouldering gym close to the center of Cincy.
The ratings are off compared to mosaic. They use cheap holds. A lot of the walls are pitched adding to the difficulty of the poor route setting and dirty holds. I guess with cleaner holds it would be better, but it wouldn’t make up for the poor route sets and cheap holds. Difficult and dirty holds. Mosaic is better.Lots of potential. Just need to clean the holds and walls. Maybe rate the climbs as a spectrum with better start info.
Climb Cincy is great! They rate the difficulty of the routes based on how an outdoor climb of the same grade would feel. Because of that, it can feel a bit harder than at ClimbTime or RockQuest but that just makes it more rewarding when you actually send one. There are still plenty of easy routes for beginners as well, so dont let that scare you off. Personally I think the setting here is a lot better than at either ClimbTime location. Nothing against Oakley or Blue Ash, but the routes at Climb Cincy just feel more exciting and interesting. They also have way more slab than any gym Ive been to which is huge! Definitely recommend for all skill levels.
Good gym. Setting is really thoughtful and well done for the most part. Wish there were more steep angles but that’s just my style. The staff is helpful and friendly, especially towards beginner climbers, which is good because most of the regulars I’ve seen there are new to climbing. Hard gym to train at since there really isn’t a system board or any steep walls with enough volume to do laps on. I hope one day they put in a system board or kilter board in the back room like they said they would since opening. When that happen, I will definitely go there more.
Our home gym is in Louisville at Climb Nulu. While in town we decided to try this new branch. We had a great time. Loved the facility and the staff member Brit was very welcoming and kind. They helped us by writing down some great local restaurants. Thanks for a great time!🙏💕
Have good setting but they are trash at grading. Not alot for people who are v1 v2 climbers and even V3 climbers i would stay away. since they have v0 and realistically the routes start at hard V2 and their arent many of those. Visited many gyms and most have good grading in comparison to others but this place.... Go to one of the climbtimes or mosaic.
Beautiful bouldering gym with a lot of different climbs in all ranges of difficulty. Its larger than I expected and such a great location too. Ian was very friendly and helpful. It also felt like they are doing everything they can to make it a safe, healthy environment, which I appreciate greatly!
Great place to climb! The staff was super friendly and engaging, and there were a plethora of routes to choose from, whether it be slab or overhanging, and they even have a moonboard! The facility was clean and well-kept. If you’re in Cincinnati and love to boulder, this is the place to go!
Solid gym so far. Good setting, reasonable grading , and a nice vibe. It is a touch pricey to not have top roping, but it is super convenient and Im deeply hoping in the next couple of years they add top roping so we there is a well rounded public gym in the urban core.
I was looking for a climbing gym while home for a few days and thought to give Climb Cincy a try. The staff was very helpful and the routes were creative and challenging. I was humbled by how difficult the problems were for their grade compared to where I usually climb. The slabs here were a ton of fun as well. My only complaint is the newer holds were extremely rough on the skin like sandpaper. My callused hands were torn apart by the end of a 2 hour session. Overall a great place to climb!
A great low key place to climb inside Cincinnati. Modern style, bouldering only gym that seems attract a humble crowd. Nice friendly staff. Strong send vibes. Moon board for training. Holds the same low key attitude that the rest of Northside seems to have. A climbers gym. Clean. Must realize that most of the climbing here is slab. Would recommend!

2022-06-12Challenging routes but extremely friendly staff and atmosphere. Grades are based on outdoor grades so expect it to appear more challenging than other indoor gyms

2022-07-29This is the best place in Cincinnati. If you every have time I recommend going to this rock climbing place they always change the grips on the walls so they can make it hard or easy. And the best part of the place that they have a gym to get ready to clim.

2022-09-06Had a great time as a beginner climber. Friendly people and lots of bouldering options for different skill levels. It’s far from our house—I wish they would open one in Dayton!

2022-07-31Amazing staff and environment. Went for the first time yesterday with the intent of likely signing up for a membership. I did and cant wait to use the facilities more frequently and tackle some of the challenging routes theyve set. AJ was especially friendly, knowledgable and welcoming. The Moonboard and Kilter board are also very exciting and I look forward to trying these out in the near future

2020-11-19Cute little gym with brand new Walltopia-esq(?) walls. It’s pretty small by most standards, but they do a lot with the space. There’s very little truly steep terrain, and what they do with it leaves something to be desired. Don’t expect to find anything in the double digits here either. The only thing that makes this place worthwhile is the community. It’s got the small gym vibe - everyone knows everyone, the staff actually engage the community, and nobody’s pretentious about belonging to their big fancy home gym.
