This is an amazingly restored piece of Cleveland’s history. Amazing to see that this used to be where the Indians played and Babe Ruth hit one of his home runs. This fully restored field does allow play on it by permit. There is off street parking and a small museum near by to visit. Worth stopping if you are in the area and a die hard Cleveland fan or just a history buff.
Its ruined! I live in NY and have been by League Field twice before in the last about 10 years and it DID hold that profound feeling of history where many great players have played. I went by there a this month and the physical stadium has been restored. I dont know how original and that looks very good, BUT, why did you have to make the ball field look like it was restored to a 21st century ball field??? It should have been restored to the way it looked last it played! Does no one have a true sense of baseball history?
This was a great small museum, the field is top notch. I can understand peoples concerns about the area of Cleveland is it located in, however with free on street parking and no admission fee, it was an easy choice to learn about the history of the Cleveland professional baseball team.
Historic park that is well kept but in a pretty rough and tumble neighborhood of Cleveland. I had a kickball tournament here and it was large enough to accommodate multiple games at once. Park district staff was pretty agressive and rude but what are you gonna do. Worth the visit if you are a huge sports/Indians fan.
I love Clevelands Historic League Park this was the neighborhood I grew up in I was 9 years old it was different then but its better now even though I dont live over here anymore I did a drive-by but one day I will stop to revisit my old neighborhood again it used to be a swimming pool over there the rec center but I love the new look 💖
Came here for Black Market Saturdays! Its held every other Saturday. It was a beautiful display of black enterprises, talent, and entertainment. There were different vendors there including a catering company that had empanadas and spanish rice! There was also a mobile boutique where the young lady had a full boutique complete with a changing area inside a trailer attached to her truck. The baseball game was cancelled due to the rain, but the field was beautiful! I cant wait to watch a game there!

2017-10-13Hard to believe that this slice of history is right here in Cleveland. Not only is it the oldest ballpark in the nation but babe Ruth also hit his 500th home run here!

2021-06-14Had an opportunity to watch a championship game of 14u baseball this afternoon. What a great experience for these boys...to play on the same field as Cy Young and Babe Ruth. Great facility. Tons of baseball history. Nice job Cleveland!

2021-08-10Theres a water fall that comes out the ground. So refreshing to stand in, run through, or sit near on hot days. We walked around the track to dry off. Some days you can watch leagues play ball on the field.
