I like most hotels but this one is just not that great. Staff was friendly, the lobby spacious and decent looking. The bar seemed nice enough. But the room heater was like an airplane engine, the water pipes made noise, and the bed did not feel comfortable to me. Glad that the airline was paying for my stay.
It is alright...a very dated exterior, but the interior is in pretty good shape. The on-site gym is pretty nice with a lot of equipment. There are two towers, so if you in the shorter tower it is a bit of a pain to get to the Marriott lounge in the taller tower. The was generally attentive, but my key card did not work, so I had to back to the desk. The hotel is near, sort of, the airport but not on-site at the airport.
Terrible... was here for a week, couldn’t get into the pool or hot tub for unknown reason, they had zero accommodations the shelves were empty, no 5 of the vending machine worked I tried, no room service without bugging them. Power was out for about 4 hours no backup generator. Terrible tv selections. Would not recommend.
The place is dated, but still looks nice. My problem is the prices change almost daily. I stayed 1 night....checked in at 10pm left at 5:40am. Supposedly got the park-sleep-fly DISCOUNT of the regular king size bedroom for the small price of $222.08 with tax. Ill shop around next time. Always liked Marriott, but I like stability and fair pricing. They told me I got a discount, but its their regular rate for non members. You got me once, you wont get me again. BYE Felicia........
We stayed there because a hot tub helps with my arthritis. Everything was great. Nice room. Great restaurant. Food was excellent. The pool & hot tub is wonderful. Most places have eliminated their hot tubs. There was a locker room with a shower by the pool & gym. Gym had more than most. I will always stay there when I visit.
We just stayed here as part of the All Things Kabuki conference. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very accommodating and went the extra mile to help the Kabuki families and was met with kindness. The catered food was delicious and a great variety for lunch. Great pool area and outside courtyard to mingle. The bar drinks are deliscous and a pretty good variety. Really a great stay and experience, Thank for everything you Marriott.
This is a nice hotel, but the housekeeping staff needs to do a better job. My room was orderly, but not clean. The toilet seat had obviously not been cleaned, one of the pillows on the bed was covered with hair from a previous guest, and most surfaces in the room were covered with a visible layer of dust. The floors in the common areas, like the lobby and hallways, were covered with salt that had been tracked in from outside. It all left a really unfavorable impression with my wife and I. If theyd just put more effort into keeping the place clean, it would deserve the 4+ star rating it has.
Just had our daughters wedding reception in their Grand Ballroom and cannot say enough good about our overall experience. Throughout our planning stages with Mary Frances and Belinda, the entire process was seamless. They listened intently to what we wanted and how, then followed through with the implementation on the night of the event. The entire night went without a hitch and followed the timing as planned. The food came out in timely fashion with only 2 meals (steaks) found to be slightly undercooked for the guests liking. This was immediately addressed and successfully remedied by the extremely attentive waitstaff and the night continued on without any other issues. The bartenders were excellent and despite having a very thirsty crowd, there was no chance for a line to form due to how well they handled things. We were similarly accommodated the following morning when we returned to the ballroom to retrieve some of our own decorations and other items left in the ballroom. Our rooms had nice amenities and our suite was very roomy with 2 full baths and plenty of space. The morning staff was again very helpful, which capped off our great experience during a most important event. We would highly recommend holding a reception at this venue.
My sister and I took my 100 year old grandma for brunch on mother’s day, along with my 2 grandchildren. The server and staff were amazing and so accommodating. It meant so much to me how well we were all treated from the time we walked in the door till the time we left. The food was very good too.
The lobby and lawnscaping was quite nice. I was there for a college informational meeting so i didnt see any of the hotel rooms. I only saw a meeting room. The room was very nice with some large decorative lights and beige walls. I didnt have any of the refreshments but they looked pretty good. Overall it was quiet and very clean. Great place.
The hotel was great but they packed us so tightly into the room for our company event that it was uncomfortable. I sat at the edge of a table and my knees were hitting the table legs the whole time. But it was clean, you could hear and see everything, and well organized. Our company has used their facilities the past few years.
Very adequate. Rooms are quiet. Has a nice sized gym and pool. Restaurant on site though I did not try it out. Room service grilled cheese was good and arrived quickly. Would absolutely stay here on an overnight near CLE airport, especially if you are a Marriott fan, but dont go out of your way for it.
Corporate rate included breakfast, parking and Internet otherwise would have stayed elsewhere.Breakfast buffet was great and staff all helpful and pleasant.Fitness room and pool were excellent and well maintained.Location good for airport and easy highway access.Bed comfortable and room nice but couldnt get T-Mobile in room.Avoid 1st floor as was noisy.
We booked this room for our wedding night. We were supposed to get to our room with the ‘honeymoon package’, which we paid extra for, but there was nothing except a plain boring hotel room. We went to the front desk and they first told us that the kitchen was closing and they were unsure if we could get the chocolate covered strawberries and whatnot. They did end up getting us the stuff, but at that point, it ruined the evening. Who messes up a honeymoon suite when it’s obviously such a special night? Ugh. Wish we would’ve got a refund or a credit at least. Very disappointing! At least the breakfast was decent and the cook and kitchen staff were nice.
Elevators work great to the 7th floor. Room didnt get quite as cold as preferred, but still nice airflow. Very professional employees, nice and talkative. Pool/ hot tub had great hours. Fitness room very modern! Breakfast buffet on weekend goes til noon!! I can finally sleep in and still eat breakfast!!
I will never stay here again. Here is my reason why: cleanliness. This place had stains on the linens, hair and crumb particles on the bed, and hair in the bathroom. All this was noticed shortly after arrival. It looked like (if someone had cleaned) they did a very quick job. The shower had a plastic curtain from the 90’s that was old and dirty. The room was very dated. I actually stayed here because of the name, but it would appear that Marriott is not as nice as it once was. I will be staying at Hilton or Westin’s from now on. I seriously felt like I was staying at a super 8 or Ramada...On the up side the front desk girl checked me in very fast, and the lobby was nice. The bartender couldn’t even figure out how to make change from $25 and I literally stood there while she counted not enough change, then said, wait, then she counted too much change and then she started giving me all ones, and then her final decision was to give me 15.50 when I told her that I was only owed 11.50 and all of this took about 5 minutes watching her try to figure out.She then made a comment on how McDonald’s workers were not the brightest and I’m just thinking to myself this whole time in how she ever got hired in the first place.
The hotel is really nice and very clean. However, the heat in our room wouldn’t work. Our room stayed at 62 degrees all night and the customer service was less than helpful. They told us that there wasn’t much they could do except look at it before the next people came to check in.
The lobby as hotel itself send very nice. The breakfast was wonderful and staff all seemed lovely as well. The only issue I had was that it seemed the walls and door were very thin. All night long we could hear other doors being shut and people walking and talking down the hall.
So, Marriott has an older property in prime airport vicinity and is running it efficiently - not getting any managers moved up to corporate thoughService staff in dining and housekeeping were gracious. Amenities were good, inner courtyard was the strong point.Parking lot needs an overhaul, the gate system is probably defense of airport customers charging and using it for long term. Fit and finish outside needs improvement.Beds are clean and comfortable, surfaces are clean or updated, facility in in good repair. This place checks the boxes for standard decent hotels of the turn of the century, 1998-2005...Better than a Holiday Inn, as good as a Hampton. But ... for over $120 a night price, the standard fare breakfast buffet should have been included.
This is a refurbished, older hotel it appears. The rooms were nice, and the beds comfortable. There is a nice bar/restaurant right off the lobby. The Fitness Center offers excellent LifeFitness aerobics equipment although it is light on strength training equipment. The gym has to free weight benches and a cable machine. Also, a nice indoor pool is available. The hotel is somewhat difficult to navigate from your room back to the front desk. Lastly, the elevators are kind of slow. Overall nice place, but not outstanding.
Decent value hotel with quick access to downtown. The service was a little suspect here though. Bedding had hair and stains on it. We asked for the bedding to be replaced. When the employee arrived he said he only has a cot blanket and a fitted sheet. Said there was no other clean bedding in the whole place. He also said I aint no maid and just threw the bedding on top of the bed. I mentioned that the front desk said it would be no problem to re make up the entire bed. He told me that the front desk must have misspoke when they said they would take care of the issue.
As soon as we entered we were greeted by a gentleman (I am guessing he was the manager). It was very professional. Counter experience was great, WiFi worked great. Room was perfect. Definitely had a great experience and on my next business trip this place would be the first choice.
Overall it was a good stay. Disappointed that the king I had reserved days in advance was taken so I was stuck with 2 fulls. The elevators were pretty sketchy to ride on. The people there were nice. Some things could use updates, but it was a nice place to stay for 2 days. Could have done without the paying to park aspect.
The hotel is currently being renovated. Luckily our room looked better than the exterior of the building. There are currently no amenities available. None of this was made known to us before we booked the room. The one bug issue we had was housekeeping banging on our door at 8am on a Saturday... The room did not come with a do not disturb sign.
The hotel itself was nice and modern looking, but the cleaning of the rooms isnt up to par. The light fixtures all had tons of dust on them, there was a Pringles lid under the bed, etc... They also didnt have the coffee stocked in the room. To top things off myself and a coworker stayed here the same night as a kids hockey team and they were practicing in the hallways for hours and nobody at the hotel would make them stop.
Once again a total let down. My company books room so I dont have a choice on staying there. Please know I would not stay at this property if I didnt have too.Check in was slow as computer froze three times. Once I received my room keys I had to return to front seat as they did not work.Hair in tub/shower. Room was dusty. When taking a shower, water would not drain. Totally gross. I went to front desk twice and never fixed. Over all a bad experience but I guess it was better than my last stay when I found hair in my food.
Actually only used their parking services when we flew. I HIGHLY recommend this service as it is efficient, close, and cheaper than the brown lot at Hopkins. The drivers were excellent and cordial as well! Cannot wait to use this service again, and even stay overnight before our next flight!
Great location. A bit dated on the outside but don’t be fooled. Inside completely renovated. Nice bar area. Full restaurant and concierge lounge up to par with any other hotel. As expected great Marriott checkin service and customer follow through. Room rates are very good. Don’t hesitate to stay it’s all around a good value.
Worst experience ever. We have a 5 and 8 year old and woke up to our room 52 degrees. They couldn’t fix our heater and had no rooms at the time so all they could do was give us $25 off and more blankets. Staff was very nice but the manager I felt could have gave us more and just didn’t care at all. Never will stay again.
It starts with the van driver. Wonderful, punctual and very friendly. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes and if you are not staying at the hotel you can park your car for a very affordable fee and use them as long term parking lot. The front foyer is large and spacious with a friendly staff waiting for you at the check in. The hotel has a restaurant, americas modern palette, with a good selection for anyone. It had hundreds of beers available and a place to play pool. They have several large ballrooms for conventions and large parties, with more than ample room for any amount of guests you would bring. The rooms are above average in size and well cleaned. They have lots of sockets and a great spot to plug your computer in at the desk to have it play on the tv. The pool is lovely and they also have a rewards level that serves elite members breakfast and supper all complimentary. They also have an amazing buffet breakfast.
Very nice accommodation and updated room. My overnight stay at the Marriott included a room updrade to a junior suite. The room had two bathrooms and an extra area for spreading out. The room was updated with new flat-screen television sets and somewhat updated for my power needs. Overall great experience! Pool and hottub are very nice.
I didnt end up staying due to a family emergency but the room was very nice and the staff was MORE than accommodating as the girl at the front desk didnt charge us for the room due to our early departure. It was such a nice gesture and will ensure our return stay on a later date!
Normally Marriott properties are pretty reliable, but this one was an exception. There were a number of small things that I ordinarily overlook, but taken together made me uneasy. The first room I was assigned had broken A/C. The second room I got was cooler, but had an empty eye drop bottle in the trash, cobwebs on the fabric covered walls, and a bathtub that wouldnt drain properly. Add to that that the property is pretty dated and worn, and the parking is kinda weird, and Ill probably skip this hotel next time Im in town.
Hotel is older and it shows. Parking is odd and a rather long walk to get to the elevators. Initial front desk employee was not very friendly and didnt give details on the exec lounge and I missed breakfast. Manager was nice and fixed the problem. I would have given 2 stars but the manager was nice and so were the people serving breakfast downstairs.
Too expensive for the experience. I checked Go green during my mobile check-in to skip housekeeping, and it didnt register for them. When purchasing, the option was a king bed or two full beds, but they never asked which of the two I wanted and gave me, a single guest, 2 beds. The handle, if you can call it that, on the bathroom door was barely a small notch that was hard to grasp. There is a Dennys right next door if you want a quick bite. I dont recommend eating at the AMP restaurant in the hotel. One redeeming feature though, was the great and friendly service of the employees.
A noisy outdated hotel; get a newer room high up and dont pay more than $90/ night. Definitely on the low end of Marriotts.Pros: Good gym (leg machines, bench, free weights, etc).Cons: This hotel is very very noisy. Guests stay here for conventions and for airport travel, so theres a lot of traffic. Guests were up at all hours celebrating and shouting. The rooms are outdated, and as other people mentioned, not cleaned well. The staff isnt helpful. I understand its a rough neighborhood and theyre dealing with homeless/belligerent people who walk in all the time, but they simply dont care.Theres a parking fee.Theres no security so non-guests are always loitering around the entrances. The lobby seating closes at night.
Computer system made check in troublesome with Rays MTB discounted rate, but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and figured it out for me.In the morning after checking out I helped myself to a small scoop of eggs and one piece of sausage from what I thought was a complimentary continental breakfast. As i cleaned my table and got up to leave, I was stopped by a server and handed a $17 bill. My fault for assuming, but I have never stayed in a hotel where the self serve breakfast wasnt included. Kind of shocking. I could have gone to Dennys next door and eaten more for half the cost. Again, my own fault for assuming, but it was an unpleasant surprise early in the morning. I guess Im just suggesting they make it clear that the breakfast is not complimentary BEFORE guests serve themselves, eat, clean up after themselves, and then try to leave. Also, they ask you to park in back, then tell you its ok to leave your room keys in the room when you check out. But they dont tell you that you need your room key to open the gate to get out. I had to sneak out behind someone while the gate tried to crush me. It was exciting. The room was nice, bartender was friendly, will stay again, just not eating breakfast next time.
Stayed in the Courtyard portion. The hotel is old and long lived in. It was clean and organized. I didnt see people or cleaners on the floor I was staying at the entire time I was there. I didnt request cleaning, but it appeared that I was in a quit area of the hotel. Which was kind of spooky.
Clean and very friendly staff. Restaurant on site was good but overpriced I thought. No free Wi-Fi in room, but available for $18 a day.... Ouch! Most hotels I have stayed at, its free or included, so beware of a good deal, and internet access is important to you. Also, not a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but Ubers are readily available.
The desk staff was very courteous, considerate and helpful. I was attending an event with my wife and we had all of our young boys in-tow. The banquet halls were great and the rooms upstairs were terrific. I was a little disappointed to hear the unkind words the bar staff had for the members of our group who were looking for a place to eat the meals provided outside their establishment. Dont get me wrong, if you didnt buy it there, it course it shouldnt be eaten there. Still the kicking time and angry words could be held until we were out of sight or they were in a back room. With that one exception, the staff bent over backwards to meet the needs of our large, diverse and necessarily demanding group. I was glad to be there and hope that, with a few changes, we may use the venue again in the future.
Nice room. Nice bar in lobby. Rooms Way too far from the lobby. Park in the front or there is. Parking fee. Pet friendly but $75 is non-refundable. Terrible! MOST places give the fee back or a portion based on cleanliness. the location is also not near much. This was a last resort option so not bad, would recommend the larger of the room options. #localguide #kingkritic
This location is easy to reach from the highway, and there is plenty of parking.. It works well for our conference as it has 1 large room for sessions with the whole group of attendees, and 7 smaller rooms for breakout sessions. The food for conferences is always good and plentiful, and the staff are attentive. There are alsosufficient restrooms in convenient locations. I recommend it.
They charge you for every little thing, and the prices are way over priced at that. The employees are none existent. The kids had to leave the pool because a couple was being absolutely obscene. The staff when you can find them didnt care. The are better options for the money. Oh, and the beds are terrible.
Had a great stay. Clean room nice staff. Thought it was weird that you just drove up to the gate to get into the gated parking lot and the gate would open but in order to get out of the parking lot you needed to use your room key to open the gate. 🤔seems backwards to me.
I did not stay at the hotel but used their parking and shuttle to fly out of Cleveland. Employees were polite and quick. Shuttle was prompt both to and from the airport. Shuttle driver was courteous and helpful loading and unloading bags. Even drops you off right at your car. Did stop inside to use the restroom and it was very clean and the hotel seemed very nice.
Nice lobby, medium size rooms, small but very clean bathrooms. Staff was very nice. The breakfast buffet, if it is not included with your room fare, is $17.00 per plate. The only downside is the location; outside the hotel there is a gas station and a Dennys restaurant. To be fair their shuttle service is available until midnight and they will take you to the airport, car rental or RTA station.
The greatest hotel man has ever built. In all my years, I never imagined a hotel of such excellence could be built. The way its nestled between the freeway and the airport is just splendidly magnificent. I love this hotel, with a passion usually reserved for the ladies I pay, to spend time with me. If this hotel was a lady, that I paid to spend time with me, shed be my absolute favorite.
I really enjoy staying at this Marriott when I am on business in Cleveland. The hotel is always clean, bright and comfortable. The staff are friendly and the rooms very well maintained. Minus the breakfast staff, the dining room staff is excellent and the facility are simple but easy and accommodating. The bar is a great place to collect friends and fellow travelers. I will continue to stay here whenever I am traveling to Cleveland for business.
Scott was our waiter and bartender he was so very nice an polite. Took his time and didnt rush us on our order Ive been here a few times but my friend was the first time there tonight. Scott was patient with us. Thank you Scott... Have a great nite. Thanks again, Amanda
Made a reservation for a room with a king size bed for the night of our wedding. And when we got there to check in we found out that we were getting a room with two double beds instead. When I called the following Monday to say something I was told that because we had got a discount we were the first to get bumped out of our king size bed. I dont think that was right. I will not recommend them to anyone at this point in time.
Attended a business lunch at Amp 150. Usually the service and food are awesome but not during my most recent visit. Food was so-so, had to ask several times for a box for leftovers and one of our orders came out wrong from the kitchen. Amp 150, I know youre better than that!
Checked in - it looked so beautiful. Got back from dinner - no hot water. Maintenance came - said there werent enough people in the hotel.... Called again - gave us a different room - said the pipes were frozen - its 38 degrees.... Really? Same thing. Lukewarm water. No one has called to follow up at all. For over $100 a night you would think hot water wouldnt be too much to ask. No internet without charge either. Never again.
When we checked into the hotel we were upgraded rooms which was super awesome! Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was not very pleasant. There was a birthday party for Jazmine going on in a banquet room on the main floor and our room just so happened to be right above it. The music was loud and people were running through hallways until at least 3AM.On top of that, the bedframe was broken causing us to continue to drift into each other throughout the night.Lastly, the mattress pad would not stay down. We both woke up several times to try to get it to stay. Our bathtub also did not drain while using the shower. That was the last straw and completely unsanitary. We came to Cleveland to ride at Ray’s MTB Park and we will not be staying here again.
The hotel lobby is lovely, but the room leaves alot to be desired. A 2 bed room feels pretty cramped, the beds feel cheap, and most importantly there isnt a microwave. What hotel in 2000 didnt have a microwave, but here I am going into 2020 without a way to heat a cup of tea. Stay elsewhere.Edit: 1 star after seeing breakfast is $16 daily.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Cleveland Airport Marriott. It is a very modern and upscale Hotel. The hotel has a in-house amazing restaurant. My one only slight negative was I had issues checking in as I used a hotel service provider for my room. There was a little confusion at the front desk that was quickly resolved
Older property. Neat and clean where I was. Good location. Id suggest 24 airport shuttle with the late arriving flights close to 1am and early departing at 5am. Had to cab to airport when I landed at 12:15am. Would stay again. Also courteous and friendly staff. Especially shuttle driver when I did use. I think Kevin was name?
Stayed one night at this location before boarding a plane the next morning. An older Marriott than has been going thorough several renovations over the last few years, and it showed for the better. Every staff member; from the front desk, housekeeping, concierge etc., I came across smiled, said hello and just in general very friendly (Very welcomed). When walking in you immediately get the Awe feeling and are pleasantly welcomed by the staff there. The AMP bar and restaurant serves room service and there in the lobby on the first floor. My room was located on the 6th floor and as a Platinum member I had access to the Concierge level on the 9th floor. Very welcomed, will a FULL breakfast, dinner snack and desserts in the evening. Shout out to Kristina who prepared my room and made it clean, and dust free! Check in and out was smooth as expected using the mobile app, and was surprised that I was able to drop my Hertz rental off, instead of the airport, which is a huge convenience as they offered hourly shuttles tot he airport. The bed was a little firmer for my tastes but comfortable enough to get a good nights rest. Rooms are quiet and very adequate and comfortable. Definitely the Marriott and category property you would expect at this full service Hotel. Thanks for reading. Video on the YouTube Channel and if this review helps you give a thumbs up!
The hotel was old, it looks like there is a new part and an old part, we obviously got a room in the older part. The lobby was very nice so it looks like that is the new part, our room was all the way around the back which looked older. It was freezing in the room when we arrived and the thermostat wasnt working so we had to have a maintenance come, they did fix it but it was loud when it kicked on every time. The door was hard to close a and you heard people in the hall plain as day. They have a pocket door for the bathroom that was hard to open. The reading light on the bed had a short in it. The tv didnt work right, would freeze and lose sound and would have to turn it off and back on. I keep seeing where it says free WiFi but its only in lobby areas, have to pay for it if you want it in your room. I still dont understand the logic behind the parking lot. It was gated in which you did not need to swipe your key to get in but you did to get out, hmmm, I would think they would only want people to come in that are staying there. When we left we had left our keys in the room and to get out we pushed the button and they opened the gate without knowing who we were. The only thing I can say is that the staff was nice.
I parked my car at this hotel for a few days. They called me and said that somebody had smashed My back windshield. So when I came back from Florida I had to have safe flight there to replace my wind shield and I paid Over $300 cash. Marriott claims said the they were not going to help us cover it after about 3 weeks of waiting to hear back from them. The security guy at the hotel was wonderful but I do not recommend parking your vehicle there when it has happened not just a my car but to other cars in the past as well and it is not always resolved obviously. They also do not have cameras outside of their building if something was to happen to your car.
Staff is very friendly and hotel is very clean. Have had issues with my room a couple times that I have stayed here. Once the room that was assigned to me was dirty and the housekeeper was in the process of cleaning it when I got there and the other the lock mechenism was broken on the door from someone that had previously stayed. In both instances the staff was very kind and simply swapped out my room for a new one.
Me and my husband held our wedding ceremony and reception here. We were thoroughly pleased with how everyone handled the event from start to finish!Michelle was the first person we met to book the wedding and she is amazing. One of my biggest concerns for venue was my nephews allergies. He has anaphylaxis allergies to dairy and egg and I was very adamant that we bring his food in. This was the only place willing to work with us and Michelle was willing to go above and beyond for him. She is friendly, accommodating and very funny, my Nana loved her!Sean was our wedding planner along with another young lady. They did an amazing job through everything. Sean was awesome about communication and helping me stay calm through planning. The setup was beautiful. As a bride you get so nervous about having everything turn out great and they made it better than I could have ever imagined!Everyone was raving about the food. Everything was delicious. My husband and I had the Hangar Steak and it was awesome and full of flavor. We had Liz (I think) as our head table server. She was so polite and attentive, making sure the wedding party was happy the whole evening! When we went up to the room that evening I was pleasantly surprised to see all our stuff already there and a bottle of Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We were so tired that unfortunately the strawberries stayed out too long but they looked so delicious I contemplated eating one in the morning. I wish I would have eaten them that night! The suite was so comfortable and it looked awesome! All in all we highly recommending Cleveland Airport Marriott to everyone for events!
The location, I would imagine, is convenient for someone who is flying in/out. I drove. To see an awesome band at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! This was the hotel a buddy had used rewards points to get and it was decent. It had beds and doors and windows and typical rental room things.
We came here for a conference and we did not stay there because we only drove an hour from our house. The entrance to this place is huge and it is very convenient to get to highway 71. The parking is a little bit awkward but they do have plenty of spots for convenience.
Above average hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Construction was going on during our stay so it was a bit noisy. Rooms are well appointed & of the quality one expects from Marriott. Only one restaurant was open during our stay & food was O.K. Disappointed hotel did not have a fine dining option but there are plenty of them within walking distance. TIP: Ask for a room on the opposite side of the Old Stone Church if the bells would bother you
Very poor Hotel. VERY OLD Building, small rooms, no hot water in the tower side, building is cold, elevators broken, Front desk staff rude and un-kempt!!! You dont greet guest while looking at your cell phones and using PROFANITY with your friends at work and on the phone. Room was nasty and smelled, sheets were dirty with hair on them. Bathroom missing essentials like toilet paper and towels. Why did i have to call front desk for these items? And the noise at night through paper thin walls with children running up and down the hall all hours of the night!! Then there are the drunks!! Not worth $299 per night, stayed at motels much better then this and with larger rooms!! Not worth the money or headache and possibly catching a disease from dirty linen!! What a disgusting dump!!! Hotel seems to cater to GANG BANGER criminal elements as well!!!
Good hotel...friendly staff...was stsying there for youth hockey team games...a few other hockey teams were there. Is located close to two hockey rinks. Pool/hot tub area is great for the kids. If you plan on drinking in the pool area make sure it is in a red Solo cups;)
Newly renovated this is a very nice place to stay. We were greeted promptly and politely upon arrival and made to feel well at home.Convenient to the RTA you can get anywhere from here. We took the train downtown for a game and a visit to the West Side Market.Definitely keeping this hotel on our short list for future visits to the city.
I used Marriotts airport parking service and I absolutely loved the service I was provided. Everyone was very kind and professional and the shuttle drivers go the extra mile to make your trip stress free. The shuttle driver on the way back from the airport dropped me off at my car and brushed the snow off, amazing!
Hotel staff was friendly and price was reasonable for Park and Fly. Shuttle service to the airport was easy and efficient. Sadly, the return/pickup shuttle service was so disappointing that we will try a different hotel next time. We called as directed and were the first to be at the shuttle pickup site. However, it soon filled with several other customers and when the shuttle came, the driver took whoever was pushy enough to get in first. Service was unorganized and not based on call order (even though we gave our name and party size). After missing out on the first ride, I again called the hotel and was told there were two vehicles running so another was on the way and that there was nothing they could do about boarding priority. (Why not? It is their service.) Sadly, we waited over one hour for shuttle service back to the hotel.
If I could give it zero i would. I was coming into town and had a family emergency, had to cancel at this hotel still stayed at a marriott and was charged over 100$ cancellation fee. I tried to explain the emergency to the front desk they didnt care sent me to reservations who made me cancel online so no help from the hotel. as a marriott employee Im disgusted. there were maybe 2 hours between my booking and my cancellation a Marriott employee and member and because I had to stay for my family I was charged. its a joke. take my money and laugh at my family in the er ON MY BIRTHDAY. thanks marriott.
I found the banquet staff at the Cleveland Airport Marriott to be beyond helpful. The food was excellent and the staff was simultaneously polite and unobtrusive while keeping functions flowing. The event was a success due to the great staff and facilities at the Cleveland Airport Marriott. My only critique is more upfront parking would be nice, but they were very understanding about not charging for the back lot.
Great place to park while flying out of CLE. The rates are must cheaper than the airport and you will receive regular emails with further discounts once you are on the system. The shuttle runs on a fixed schedule but always call from the airport for pickup. They are fairly prompt to pick you up.I have found the shuttle drivers very pleasant and helpful. For example this past winter each time I was there the driver help me clean the snow of the car upon my return.
I hate this hotel, had to stay here twice on pay to play hockey tournaments. This is a nickel and dime hotel. Nothing is complimentary, how about free coffee, nope buy it at the restaurant - drink and food are WAY overpriced. 15 dollar breakfast, 3 bucks for a bag of chips. Service is substandard. If given a choice I would always go with a Hilton property.
As a business traveler and Marriott Gold Elite member I have stayed over 20 nights this year, this is the first time I have been disappointed in a Marriott property.I booked a high floor King sized concierge room. When I arrived after a long day of traveling I was informed they did not have any concierge rooms available. They offered me a king room in a different building or low floor double bed in the tower concierge bldg. The girl at the front desk was sweet and Im sure it wasnt her fault, she did discount my rate from $219 to $199, however these double beds are not as comfy as the king sized beds, my lamp is broken and my shower doesnt drain. I feel like I couldnt be further from what I booked. At least I am close to the airport, I will not be back to this property!
I arrived around 8pm before an early flight the next morning. The service was professional and quick, and there was no line in the elite line. I was upgraded to a concierge level room which was quiet and well appointed. Parking was uncovered, which is dicey in Cleveland in the winter, but otherwise, I have no complaints about this property.
Bad service in front desk the ladies were rude because my English has accent of french at least I speak four languages how many language do you speak respectfulness ladies? location of the room was next to elevator and next to the door of parking lot so noisy. In the morning I went to take breakfast I sit down at the table the old lady or the boss of the dinning yell at me and she told me you have to ask me before you sit on the table how can I know I travel all around the world I never heard that s before ..Excuse me .I paid money you have to respect me.Please everyone who coming from Europe or Asia or any other continent do not go to this hotel I dont care if you sleep in the street at least you could keep your dignity .Faites attention.Achtung.小心.
Ive stayed at a few hotels around the Cleveland airport, and this is my favorite so far. The nice courtyard makes it feel less urban than it is. The pool was clean and big. The room was good, bed could have been comfier and housekeeping dropped the ball by missing a bunch of trash under the bed from previous guests and not stocking any toiletries. But the bathroom had awesome water pressure and a nice showerhead.
I am trying to make reservations and was sent to the main reservation site. The person trying to take my reservations became very frustrated when I tried to ask where on my reservation did it say I could park my car for 7 nights. She had to get another person who was friendly and said she would send me something about the parking. Told me would send in 5 minutes and 20 minutes later so response. Im afraid I will go and they will make me pay more to keep car for a week. Never had this kind of trouble before. May cancel if I dont get the confirmation!
Stayed the night following a wedding. We were extremely diappointed to find light bulbs out in our room and that our bathroom sink was clogged. We were told an engineer would be out to fix the sink, but it was never seen to, very disappointing for the steep price - check around!!
This is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities we could ever want. However it was Kim (the driver) who made this an exceptionally friendly and helpful experience. We returned to Cleveland from our trip to the California Coast but found our vehicle battery was dead. Kim took excellent care of us, after all attempts at jumping the battery failed, she drove me to the nearest auto store to get a new battery to help us get on the road home fast. The girls at the front desk were also very helpful, Chris helped me print out boarding passes for our flight out, and the maintenance man made sure I could get the new battery installed.Thank you for all the kindness and care you showed to us!The Hotel is beyond beautiful but the people are what really make it shine!
It was summer when we stayed at the marriott. Pro: The rooms were nice and cool, the beds were very comfortable, pretty clean other then a few pieces of debris from the previous people (ribbon). I like that there is a refrigerator in the room. Cons: no fan in bathroom, bathroom counters are very small and the bathroom overall is small hard for just 2 people to have enough room. Not enough places to hang towels after use. The toliet tank cover lifts up when you push on the handle to flush, or you have to hold it for like 15 seconds.
I got sent here by United airlines due to a flight cancellation. This is one of the best places Ive stayed in. The bed was clean, fresh, fluffy and wonderful. They do charge an outrageous fee for in-room wifi. Thankfully, my charges were covered by the airline. The breakfast buffet at the onsite restaurant was also great and relatively inexpensive ($13). Overall, this place is great, but I am not sure if I would have stayed here if I had to pay the retail price.
The room appointments have been updated fairly recently which is always a sign of a good hotel. Bathroom was a little small but efficient. It could have used an exhuast fan. Pocket door to bathroom was hard to move until we reported it to the front desk. In fact, everything we asked them to take care of: noisy bed frame, pocket door & extra towels. There were several outdoor fire pits for guests to enjoy. The indoor swimming pool was huge! If youre not a Marriott Rewards member, they will charge you for Wi-Fi.
I only got here a few hours ago but I love everything about it. I probably wouldn’t need to stay here again but it would be my top choice. Great price for all the amenities that come with, a lot of other places I looked were more expensive and didn’t have a pool/hot tub, which was my main reason I chose this spot
This hotel is no longer the Marriot. It is now the Wyndham Cleveland airport. Please DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR AT THIS HOTEL. Do not use their off-site airport parking service. I came back to a vandalized vehicle. The hotel cared less about my $800 repair. At the end, I was told by the staff that they dont keep the parking gates locked. Park somewhere else where you actually get the only thing you paid for, the safety of your vehicle.
The double bacon burger was delicious and the bar manager was very nice and didnt even need to write our order down which I like. Would visit again for sure. Unfortunately due to airport delay, but it made for a great experience and the Cavs Final Game 2 was on so it was fun!
I paid 121 dollars for the room and was charged a 307 dollar for incidentals when I got to the hotel and was never informed of that. When I called I was informed that the funds would be returned in 5 days. That’s is it. Marriott took 307 dollars from me, wont explain why and now won’t give it back for 5 days. My stay at the Cleveland Marriott Airport was all of a total of 8 hours from 8PM until 4AM and it cost me having to be 300 dollars down for the next week while they correct their error.I am very frustrated. And honestly I stay at Marriott hotels more than most as I travel for work but my Marriott account is so hard to figure out What gets points and what doesn’t I just gave up. Search my name in your database you will probably close to 30 to 50 nights at various Marriott locations but this is now the second time I have had to fight with Marriott about money taken from me without any real explanation to validate the amount of charge nor why they even took that amount.
Worst managed Marriott in the United States. After American canceled our flight, they arranged for a stay at the Marriott, we were given vouchers for a Marriott which was overbooked. That Marriott sent us to this Marriott who refused to accept the vouchers? Ultimately turned 10 passengers away. We offered to pay any differance between the voucher price and room rate. This Marriott would not even consider that and turned us away. Couldnt even transport us to another destination in one of the 3 idle vans. Made us wait 15 minutes for another shuttle, then had the shuttle hold 5 minutes, like they were going to pull up on the service stick, only to come back and say they could not assist us.Wow, that is the worst customer service in the history of bad customer service. Amazing !@@!. I currently have travel plans to Denver. Booked a Marriott suite for the 5 day stay in September, yes I will be canceling that. As long as Im getting floop house service, I think Ill stay at a competitors place, where service is key, even if it cost me an extra grand.
Cleaning ladies got attitudes when I told them I didnt want them in my rooms. After going over and over about not wanting then in both my rooms they started talking different language. Also I had plans to have dinner at the AMP 150 for my sons 18th birthday and friends and family but couldnt cuz was never told they close early but for us to eat at the bar!!! Never coming back here
If your out of town visiting this hotel, be prepared for, NO breakfast, NO adult drinks, NO Bar, NO happy hour, NO gathering in the lobby, business center is closed, pool and workout room is by appointment only, homeless people, Masks required at all times, and sketchy people walking around at night.
Small parking lot that traffic had a tendency to block. Clean inside, complimentary water, and friendly staff. During the business meeting there were renovations being done nearby. The noise and occasional vibrations were distracting and interrupted the meeting from time to time.
Horrible. We paid $75. for a buffet for New Years. They ran out of food and wouldnt credit us back the money. They also turned all tvs off 15 minutes before the ball dropped. Our rooms were cold and the beds were small. Do yourself a favor and stay at a Hilton!!!! This Marriott hotel is terrible!!!!!
To say it was okay is stretching it. Most of the people where nice but did run into a few rude workers. When booking a room they should tell you if there is a convention in the hotel. First room I got was dirty, trash on the floor cigar tobacco in the drawer and the room smelled of something. The second room was better, a bit cramped but passable. The pool and spa was in nice condition the first night and a real treat, unfortunately the group of unsupervised kids destroyed any chance of visiting it in peace again. The inability of the staff to keep towels on hand was a problem, if they could only bring more then 12 at a time. The food in the lounge was the same as the restaurant, microwavable at best and over priced for what it was. I liked the courtesy van, getting a ride to the rapid station was nice. However when I asked them to take me a few blocks they siad they could not go that far. After looking it up, I found it was a shorter distance then the Airport that they go to.Everything else was what I expected out of my stay. I have stayed at many Marriot hotels over the years and this one is my least favorite, I will not be staying here again. I dont think they will even care. Do yourself a favor and try to go somewhere else.
I stayed in Cleveland for one night and stayed at the hotel. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious. They had someone making omlettes, oatmeal, fresh cut fruit, pancakes, and other items. A company paid for my stay there and it was a good experience.
We reserved a room at the downtown Marriot for a wedding at the Science Center but were asked to move to the Airport Marriot due to a U2 concert in town. We were told they would provide shuttles from the Science Center at 10pm, 11pm, and at 12. They got us there but decided it was too busy downtown to pick us up at 11 and 12. No effort to contact us, when we called them they sounded like the congestion downtown was a surprise to them. So they cancelled the shuttles. I can look past the small rooms, dirty hallways and stairways. I think they are very overpriced, and what hotel chain still charges for wifi? But to abandon their guest who are hundred of miles from home and unfamiliar to the city and the state is deplorable.
Thank you to the Bartender Mike and Jin Food and Beverage Operations Manager for making the wrongs right....I appreciate that you cared enough about my stay to listen and go above and beyond to make me feel as if my stay matters. Because of what you both did I woll continue to stay in marriotts. You both are an asset to the Cleveland Airport Marriott. Thank you again.
The Cleveland Airport Marriott has been an excellent establishment. The staff has been very helpful, the rooms are spacious and well appointed and the location is great with quick access to the airport and downtown. The Edgewater Park is especially close and a great way to see the city and Lake Erie. The lobby area is welcoming and the bar and attached restaurant are very well rated though a bit pricey. Overall it has been a great stay!
Amazing deal. Instead of flying from Detroit airport, we drove to Cleveland, stayed at this hotel. Air fares were $300 less per person and the hotel was $107 overnight with free parking for the week, which is about the cost of parking at DTW. Also free shuttle to the airport. Hotel itself was great, with friendly staff, clean room, etc. I guess we usually stay at motels because we were surprised to have to go downstairs for the morning complementary Starbucks Coffee (instead of having a coffee maker in the room) but that was minor effort. Highly recommend staying here.
I was so impressed with hotel, The staff there are a wonderful group of people when I checked in. Its almost unbelievable that companies can still find people that care and go the extra mile to make a difference in others and thats what my experience there with Bri and the crew I would recommend anyone coming to Cleveland to stay here you will not be disappointed
I stay here often when in town for work. However, the event held here during my current stay caused there to be more vehicles on property than space available. Cars parked illegally anywhere there is space - the check-in area, on the ends of aisles in lanes of traffic, up curbs and in fire lanes diagonally parked and difficult to drive around. Disappointed after being told to park at Dennys and walk over. If you dont have the space to safely accommodate so many people, the event should have been held elsewhere.
An overpriced, faux-upscale hotel. The rooms here are the same as you would find at any Holiday Inn for half the price and the Holiday Inn would include Internet and breakfast. Overall, I cannot recommend the Cleveland Airport Marriott due to the elevated prices, lack of amenities, poor location (there are essentially no places within walking distance), and disappointing rooms. Instead, stay at a similar mid-priced hotel or in downtown Cleveland, where at least you can walk to surrounding restaurants and attractions. There is no reason to pay name-brand prices for a room at this Marriott.
Cleveland Airport Mariott is a nice hotel. A shuttle runs every 20 minutes (30 min after 12pm) to take you to certain locations, there is an inhouse restaurant that serves some very delicious food, and you can order room service whenever you want. The beds are comfortable, the staff is nice, however you have to pay for internet which is a huge bummer. Overall Ive enjoyed my stay

2022-05-31Felt very secure there. Lots of service/security individuals. Breakfast was ~$10 but well worth every penny. Cook was very kind and make eggs my way. Overall if going to Cleveland clinic a very good place to stay. It is an environment for the rich/fancy at everyday prices, so go feel like royalty for a couple of days.

2020-12-18Were were staying here several years ago for a family wedding. Nice hotel. Lots of outside noise and hwy/road noise. Also people coming and going in the hallways are really loud not well insulted. Family wedding reception was at the hotel and was a very nice venue. Also the lobby at this Hotel is super nice great restaurant / Bar / Coffee shop. Shuttle was very nice and there were multiple shuttles always coming and going.

2020-11-21This is a nice hotel located somewhat close to Cleveland Airport. I came here after flying into the airport and was satisfied with my experience. I checked into the hotel and went up the elevator to my room. I opened the door to my room to be greeted by two beds and a bathroom. I was very tired after my flight so I put down my bags and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up after a good night’s sleep and left the hotel. I gave this hotel five stars because it has comfy beds and good service. It also has a shuttle to the airport, which is nice. You can also appreciate the architectural features of the building.

2019-12-07I had a great stay. The room was very clean and in good shape. No items in need of repair. My server for breakfast (Michael) is was very friendly and attentive. Bed was comfortable, too. I took the shuttle to and from the airport, which was convenient. As some other reviews have stated, parts of the decor are outdated (my room had hideous red carpet), but since everything was clean and maintained, I could live with that. Would stay here again.

2020-06-19Both nights there was no hot water after 9 PM, in the morning, the water was so hot you couldnt cool it down enough to take a comfortable shower. Hard to get A/C at just the right temp also. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.

2020-09-20Not too pleased, but not the worst. They are a pet friendly hotel and that’s why we chose them. Yet, they treat their grass with chemicals and herbicides. My dog kept trying to eat the grass... not pet “friendly” then. No bar, no restaurant, hence no room service. Hopefully they get that situated at some point. Pool was honestly pretty gross... hair ties all over the bottom, the bottom looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or touched in a month, it was green. Tv channels suck. The only good thing is that the Staff is quite friendly.

2018-06-30Most of the hotel was extremely nice. The room I was in seemed very dated though. The drains in the shower didnt work that well and I had to hold down the toilet handle for about 15 seconds for it to fully flush. Overall it was a pretty decent place. It definitely could use some upgrades.

2019-10-24Ive been coming here for years. The hotel is starting to get dated; ok, it is really dated. Always love when you take a shower and when done, you have a tub full of water because the drain is clogged. The concierge lounge has awful food for the evening. If you want loyal customers to stay in and eat then serve some good food. Maybe then they will purchase drinks so the hotel can make more money. The restaurant staff is awesome! However, service can be really slow at times. I am lucky and am never really in a hurry when I decide to stay in and eat. I could get picky in my evaluation but I wont at this time. I also travel a lot and I am loyal to Marriott and stay at their properties 98% of the time. Time to renovate this hotel!

2018-02-14We met guests of the hotel for a late dinner and were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere! The prices were moderate and the food was good. Afterwards we played a few games of pool at the complimentary tables in the lobby. While the space was large, it was designed to be cozy and provided some privacy. Overall we enjoyed our evening and would return again.

2020-03-12The customer service at the front desk was horrible. They also; didnt screen a guy who asked for the wrong room which happened to be mine. It was the worst experience to have a random male knocking at your door at 2 am. Ill Not be staying at this hotel again! On a side note; the staff from the restaurant were so nice and helpful at all times. Great breakfast and lovely staff.
