Came in after swim meet at SPIRE.Bradi our waitress and was awesome. Even though were short staffed she did everything to High standard. Great smile and always che king on all the tables. Great with kidsKids loved their fresh dough pizza, beers were huge and well priced. Food was excellent and hot. The Philly cheesesteaks are legit!!!!!!!!This place was so good we brought the rest of the team back the 2nd nite after swimming on day 2.Great experience all around.Ask for Brandi on Friday and Saturday (if she is there)
The atmosphere is bar like and fine. The people are nice. The portions are huge. Loaded fries are good for a sharable app. Philly steak calzone is the size of my head and it was super cheesey. Too much cheese for me but the dough is hand rolled and so delicious. Lots of options.
I had Jims favorite chicken sandwich which was excellent. My buddy John had the special which was the New York strip. Were here on a Saturday night and its really hopping! They have two bars. The second one is out there with a live band. The atmosphere is really feels like hometown. The price is really good for the booze and for the food! The food took a little while to get but the service is pretty good. The waitress said theyre known for their pizzas strombolis, but we didnt order it because they said it would take an hour to get.
Came here for some appetizers during a night of wine tasting to soak up some grape juice with grease. Food was very good. It took a while, but it was busy inside. Our waitress tried to make a sangria for my wife, but it was pretty far from it, suggest avoiding that. Beer was cold, food was good otherwise! Love their cheesesteak and bacon cheese fries!Update: The last several times the food has gone downhill and the took a while has turned into took forever. The cheesesteak was so dry even with whiz, used to be one of my favorites. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. Had to pay the bill at the bar and wait for a box almost five minutes after half our party left. Took 90 minutes for 4 people and 2 kids to eat and go. Wont be back. So disappointing.Google asked me to describe the atmosphere. Freezing. Every time the door opened the entire bar area dropped 10 degrees and just as it started to rise someone else walked in or out for a smoke.
Good food and good prices. Unless your at bar, staff takes a while to notice you. Friday thru Sunday can get rowdy and they play music super loud. Have heard if kitchen gets overwhelmed they will refuse to cook. Over good place for dinner around 5pm on weekend and 1pm for lunch Friday thru Sunday. Just remember can get rowdy, so not too children friendly.
I have been here twice, the food was disappointing not to mention how early the stopped serving considering how late they are open. However, the service is great and will keep me coming back. Its a lively and fun environment and I am determined to find something on the menu I like.
My wife and I were just passing through. Staying at the Hampton. We found our perfect type of place to hang. Stopped in for a few beers and wound up staying for hours. People were super nice and food was great. The locals welcomed us with open arms. Had the best time. Hopefully pass through again!!
Definitely don’t order the fish. The menu says ‘beer battered cod’ but I received breaded perch that was rubbery. The waitress was super kind, she replaced my fish with AMAZING WINGS!!! Super clean place, super nice inside! We are from out of town and passed this place and decided to stop; no regrets :) the Stromboli was packed full of toppings and delicious!
You can tell they havent cleaned their fryer in about a month. The food is okay and moderate for a quick bite. Service is horrible. I was waiting to order at the bar and the bartender gave me a dirty look at me several times while she was conversating with customers about their weekend plans. I didnt feel welcomed as a guest. I had to get up and speak to get her attention. Thats unacceptable as being a bartender.
We had a birthday party with 9 people present. Unfortunately there was only one waitress on duty at the time though. After some time a male waiter and another waitress took over the tables. She was very nice and helpful. The food was good (except the party boy complained about too much garlic on his pizza pie).
We were driving through town and decided to stop for a quick dinner. This obviously is a local favorite hangout which was pretty busy with the dinner and evening crowd. Food was very good and staff was pleasant. Could be a little cleaner but was acceptable for the type of establishment.
I highly recommend this restaurant! We were passing through and decided to order from here. The food was amazing, they had a wide range of items to choose from on the menu. We got salads and wings, both were spectacular. Best of all, we just drove up to the window and got our food! The woman working at the window was SO friendly and sweet!!
Great food and service. Our Geo Metro group ate here after our meet. It was quite a few people and the waitresses did awesome. Everybody was served quickly and correctly. I got the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good and the fries were some of the best Ive ever had.
The clay street grill was an interesting place. It was more like a house in the back not like a restaurant. The steak was hardly cooked and the service was terrible. We will never go back but we will continue to make jokes about the clay street grill. This place is very naughty.
I always look for a local place to. Spend my money and enjoy the area. I was happy to try this place out based on a lot of good reviews. I expected a dated but fun place with good food. However the food is the reason for the bad review.Appetizer came out with the main dish. My wife and I were going split the stromboli. It cool/cold (not even warm) in the middle.Waitress took off bill, no problem. My draft local beer was good as was the appetizer.
If I could rate the food, atmosphere and service separtly I would give the food five stars and the service a huge zero. We had a party of five in the outdoor area. We all agreed that the waitress acted like she was high as a kite. We hardly saw her, had to clean our own table off and she just generally had a poor attitude. She seemed put out that one of us asked for quarters for the pool table. She pretty much told him he would have to get change at the bar. She didnt seem to be able to do more than one thing at a time and was upset when asked for the simplest items. Back to the food... Wings were awesome and the hot wings sauce is really hot (great flavor). One of our calazones was huge. Drinks were also good, when we could get them.
Always a great stop. Ive never had a bad meal there, and the bartenders are always friendly. I have to assume its a favorite among the locals because typically the bar is packed in the evenings. Just my luck this time, go to go there when they opened :) Thanks Kim for the great service!
1st server was great. Her relief however, servers were not interested in the accumulating empty bottles on our table and more interested in their phones and chatting up one another. Walking past our table 4x before I got up and got the check to leave. NOT SOMEWHERE ID RECOMMEND.
Absolutely loved our meal here! Had the Clay Street Special pizza and the Chopped Salad. Everything was fantastic, the bartender was super nice and kept on top of everything, and we even liked the conversation with the regulars who sat beside us. All-in-all, just a fantastic place to be. We will definitely return when we make future trips through Warren.
The place itself has potential. Friendly staff, clean establishment. The food wasnt bad at all, but my fathers and Is food werent as hot as we wouldve liked. On top of it, though our waitress was very nice, I felt like our experience was waiting. Not on her though, as she was the only one staffed, and there was always at least a few tables she had attend to. Completely understandable on her part. Otherwise my family had a good time and got what we came for, after being the road for 10 hours, anything that wasnt fast food. And we were satisfied. So overall thank you for that, but putting on more servers might have benefited the our waiting situation, and possibly the tempareture of the food.
It looks like a little dive, but the food is so good! You will not go away hungry. I had the all you can eat fish (Good Friday); it was delicious. My husband had the steak, he said it was juicy good. My son had the BBQ wings. He said there was a little spice to them, but nothing that dipping them in ranch dressing couldnt cool off. If you are near this exit, it is a must stop. It wont disappoint!
My experience, dinning at clay street bar and grill was not the best. Our service tonight was the worst I had, and the servers where disrespectful and very rude . They spoke in a unprofessional matter to the customers. They didnt have there mask nor wipe down menus when passed along to other customers. I hope other decide not to visit with service like that . When I AM set to have a meal with my family I would want service in a timely manner. Theres no excuses to talk to customer with attitude. 😠😠 Very dissatisfied with the whole service.
It was a 5 Star the first time I went there and had a Humongous Hamburger that was delicious and cooked perfectly.Had to reduce the recent visit to a 1 Star. Do not order the RUBEN. The grease was literally dripping out of the sandwich. It was gross.I will go back for a Hamburger though.
4/3/19 Wife and I had dinner, we had wings to start good size good flavor, parm/garlic. Her mushroom and black olive calzone was huge, she said it was good, but a little bland, I said no meat what do you expect. I had all you can fish , pollack I believe couldnt complain. Waitress was on ball, seemed like the whole staff was very prompt, they get 5 stars. Dont think you can go wrong if you choose to eat here. Wife and I would recommend this restaurant.
The drive thru window was very busy, long wait. I asked for extra sauce and got charged for it. Lucky I checked, no extra sauce until I asked where it was. Could not give correct change. People are willing to wait as long as it is right. When you screw up and make people wait that makes for a bad reputation.
First off this is a neighborhood bar/restaurant type establishment. The decor is what you’d expect. Old license plates form the Ohio outline and old beer tap tops on the walls for decorations. There is an outdoor seating area and bar, which is where folks go to smoke. The inside seemed clean and well maintained. Comfortable too. The inside bar is long and was long and most all of the stools were occupied, as well as the tables when we stopped in. We ordered the nachos and a pizza. Both were very good. We did not care for the meatball topping but that’s just personal preference. We will get it without next time. It felt more like an adult scene when we were there but you can certainly bring kids. The staff, especially Abbey, were great. Great Philly Cheesesteak hoagie.
Great place for wings, family friendly on the restaurant side, nice atmosphere on the tavern side. Attentive staff. This place is usually hopping, so if your looking to get out in 20 minutes, probably not going to happen. But if your out for good time, food, and relaxing with friends, this would be a great place. Motorcycle/ATV/Snowmobile friendly.
The food is great, however, most nights, even when they’re not busy, service can be extremely slow! Prices are affordable, portion sizes are great. Just make sure you set aside a few hours if you plan on dining in. This would be a higher review, if service/wait time wasn’t as slow as it is.
We come here when we are in town. Love the wings and to see bands cause we stay right up the street. Disappointed a bit this time cause the patio was dead and the waitress took long cause she was trying to take care of too many areas. Seems like if you are on the patio you get served last unfortunately.
This is one of the best bars around with the best food!! All the staff is very professional and if something is wrong they do there best to make it right! I have a ATV/Side by side riding group with over 200 members and this is our meeting spot almost every weekend. We never have any problems from the owner or any of the staff. We’ve had over 30 machines in the parking lot and not one problem. I’d like to thank Jim and Mary for letting OutKast Off-road members use your parking lot as a meeting/parking area. We really appreciate it and will continue to show support to such a great establishment!
Good food and busy but the service is a little slow. No one acknowledged us when we arrived. I understand if they are busy but someone should say hi, someone wool be with you in a moment. It makes a better first impression than just ignoring new arrivals because its someone elses job.
Small town Ohios best kept secret. I have been here twice and the hour plus drive is always worth it. Relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The food is always delicious and the menu is quite expansive for such a small place. The food is priced right. My server tonight was Yvonna and she was fantastic! Very friendly, accommodating, fun, and knowledgeable of both the menu items and local area in general. I hope that the next time I come back I can have her again!
I went here earlier today, I was so disappointed. Every other time iveI been here it has been good. Not tonight, I payed extra for the fries. Got cold limp fries, also the didnt give me the right amount of fries. The salad was good sanwich was ok.Heres the kicker they ran my credit card for the wrong amount 3 different times. Three different managers. I was pissed. Incompetent people are the worst. Have to go to the bank and straighten things out tomorrow!!
Went for the Prime Rib, sadly at 7:30pm on 7/17/17 sold out. Opted for fish and chips. Being this close to a Great Lake, how can you go wrong? Well frozen w/freezer burn Mrs. Pauls is how. Nasty, gummy, mealy. Fries that came with were decent, and my service was pleasant experience.
If I could leave negative one I would! Waitress was terrible! Wings were over cooked they were stingy on sauce, they were dry. Side salad was all cheese! They charge for a pop that never gets refilled even though you ordered hot wings! Stopped going here awhile back now I remember why!!
First time visit last Sunday for my nephews Marine leave home. What a great place to socialize & dine among other wonderful deplorables like me. Drink & food prices are very reasonable & served by staff that really appreciate your patronage. Their pizza & calzones put most most Italian restaurants to shame. Going back soon, I hope!!!
Service was terrible, bartenders are useless and rude. I was never able to even order a drink. And when another patron asked if the kitchen was open she gave him a look like he was an idiot for asking at 11:30pm. I went to corner bar just down the street was greeted by a friendly bartender who was happy to take my food order and serve me. Skip this place....
Filly steak subs, got two different ones, very greasy and nasty tasting, threw away, onion rings, nasty old fish grease, threw them away, service terrible, Bill wasnt right, still I left 10dollar tip, bartender s ignoring me and doing lots shots,my first bad review in four years doing this google reviews
Walked in, our group was noted by waitress and blown off.Sign said seat yourself.Minutes later, no menus, no drinks, no Ill be with you soon.So then our group got up and left. Also there is a big pothole at one of the entrances to the parking lot, watch out for that as you drive in.Ill never be back.
Was working out of town and found thisnplace. What a find not only was the food excellent and prices were great, but the owner rgave me and my co worker a ride back to our hotel since we took a taxi there. We went back for a second night and we were picked up by the clay street grill shuttle service and then dropped back off at our hotel will definitely stop back any time Im working even remotely close. This place is what service is all about great prices even better food and friendly staff if you stay close to this establishment it is a must on your to do list.
Kara, Abbey and Nicole are the best here! Hope I spelled their names right! Always a good time the owner has really set the place up nice great place to catch the Indians playing on all the big screens there. If your looking for a good time definitely check out the beautiful gals at the Clay Street Grill!!!
If I could leave zero stars I would. I walk in with a large party. One of the men goes up to order a drink, a lady sitting at the bar turns around and walks very fast towards me and another woman. She gets way too close to us and starts literally screaming in my face and cussing that we need to get out. At this point I’m very confused because she never asked me for my ID (which I have). Instead she starts making a scene and her boyfriend starts calling us many cuss words and slurs. We were harassed and they missed out on a party of 12. Classless and rude.
I have ordered the half meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and the meatloaf was a end cut that was so small the person next to me ordered the samething and his meatloaf was a nice thick cut. I dont mind the end cut but at least make it a thick peace like the guy next to me
There isnt even a rating for this craphole, I give it zero out of 5.... fries were stone cold, raw burgers, pretzel dogs looks like burnt weiners wrapped in pastry dough rolled in sand...waited 25 minutes for the food to come out...disgusting and the service was ...well , hmmmmmm not even any words for that....
Very over crowded , took 15 minutes to get waited on for drinks , I ordered a sex on the beach and a captain n coke , I get back to the table and took a sip of my cap and coke and it was coke and peach schnapps , the sex on the beach was made with captain Morgan, and I paid 9.50 for the drinks , no room for dancing , we wont return to this place !

2022-04-16We ordered carry-out from Clay Street twice this week and have mixed feelings. The food is pretty good, so far they have the best boneless wings weve had anywhere else around here.. But the service isnt up to par. Whoever the man is that picks up the phone is very polite, but it seems the bar staff isnt on the same page. The first night my fiancé picked up our wings it took the bar staff 30 minutes to approach him and ask him what he needed after chatting amongst themselves.. Which seems to be a common story from a few reviews. The second night my father in law picked up our wings.. Same thing. Having worked in a bar its way easier to get your customers out of the way and chat on your downtime. Now the kitchen.. They seem very disconnected from whoever is taking orders. Both times something was wrong on our wings and the second night we had to ask them to get it right twice. We were very kindly made another batch which was really appreciated. The same man who picked up the phone seemed frustrated with the kitchen staff. We probably wont be giving the place our business again, but I hope they can take this and address it with each other to do better. It doesnt seem like a terrible place at all, the food tastes yummy and looks clean, and theres potential among the staff to do better.

2022-03-22I dont enjoy leaving negative reviews. I also very much dislike leaving low tips. However, sometimes when you give what you give, you get what you get.I waited twice for 20 minutes with an empty beer waiting for another. It was 25 minutes or more until I received an order of simple onion rings. This is an hour and five minutes(at least) of my life I will never get backThis would not pass for service anywhere in my home town of Columbus. I was hoping this would be a staple stop when out of town for work, but I very literally do not have time for this wait. This is the third time I have stopped at this place. The experience has been the same each time.Third times charm. Im out.

2022-06-24Not sure what to expect in Ohio.. as Im from California. Already knowing that trying any type of Mexican food or Sushi is a bad idea.. we opted for this grill. Not impressed at all.. I ordered the chicken parm.. wouldve possibly been decent. It was a huge portion.. but it was completely burned. To top it off.. it was their last one. Why bother serving a charcoal black piece of meat. They werent even trying to disguise it.. as I had ordered the sauce on the side... I dont frequent Ohio often.. but when I do.. I absolutely will not return here. The pastrami sandwich my aunt got looked decent.. she said it was good..but any place who clearly serves burnt food.. without an apology.. or explanation.. nah.. Im good. Smh

2022-03-10This use to be an amazing restaurant. Not any more. Restaurant in need of repair. Service very slow. Waitress really didnt seem to care if she waited on us or not. Seemed more concerned with the people in the bar. They were out of food we wanted. Not willing to substitute food. Will not go back

2022-05-16No service. Not bad service, just no service. Not one time did a server come to our table. After waiting at the table for a while I finally went to the bar then after waiting for a while at the bar I finally got to order my drink and food. The cook brought out the food. Not one time did a server come to our table and check on us. Not once. We totally could of left and no one would of noticed for who knows how long. I finally went back to the bar and requested our check. That was the only time a server came to our table.

2020-08-24We came to this grill after biking 15 miles on the bike path. There weren’t many people here and we didn’t know if it was open. The host greeted us and was very friendly. The interior is very welcoming and nicely decorated. The lighting is amazing. The food was very well made and was served fairly quick. The seating was well socially distanced and sanitized.

2022-03-2112 of us showed up 10 minutes before the kitchen closed & we were hungry. The staff could not have been nicer. The food was hot - everything was right. Server was very attentive.

2022-06-28Great food and reasonable prices. As for wing flavors the clay street fusion is the one.The bbq is just like old bullseye bbq and not that good. The Cajun dry rub was rather bland. Teriyaki was ok.I hope you can take this knowledge and make the right decision yourself.
