The food this time around was not enjoyable. We ordered a Large cheese pizza and they did not tell us that they were out of that size crust. So instead they brought us two kids size cheese pizzas and the crust was different not as good as the large size..when ask why...we were told that the kids size crusts were already pre-made from the manufacturer. Funny we were still charged the large size price. This place has gone down hill, would not recommend
This Italian Restaurant is a hideaway treasure for the folks of Columbus. We had our community dinner there at a recommendation of our neighbors. They accommodated about 22 people from our group and everyone had a wonderful time.Food choices based on the smiles across the table were all great. Staff was attentive to the large group of people we had.Recommend everyone to dress up and call in ahead of time to reserve your table.
Cute place, good Italian food, the staff were friendly. Our waitress was great, they have a menu with common items and then they have some seasonal dishes as well. No Gluten Free options as far I could tell. The dishes are a tad bit pricey for what I am used to, but I could only eat half my dish before getting full. I enjoyed my experience here and would come again.
Came on a busy night, and they were short staffed all throughout the house, to be fair. It took more than a few minutes for the owner to make it to the door to seat us, and then much longer for anyone to greet us. Ok, that’s life these days, and I’ve always liked this restaurant, so I dealt. Looking at the menu, I noticed the price increase. Dramatic. I dine out a lot, these prices were out of line. My friend and I split a large wedge salad, meh. The blue cheese dressing tasted like the cheapest bottled version they could find, almost no tomatoes or bacon. My friend’s ravioli was bland, and the pasta itself also looked premade. I ordered chicken piccata. The side dish of fettuccine Alfredo was delicious. The chicken itself was cooked properly, but the sauce….I can’t call it sauce, and there was WAY too much of it. Pretty sure that sauce was jarred chicken gravy with some lemon juice and capers stirred in. Huge disappointment. Don’t order more bread, that’s now $3, and it’s not remarkable bread by any stretch. We were served by the owner’s wife, who doubled as bartender. She was lovely, competent, and funny. I’m sorry to see one of my favorite restaurants struggling so much. I can only guess it’s Covid related. I’ll wait awhile before I give it another shot. From the goat Stephanie.
Was it the divine white truffle risotto? Maybe. The chicken, capicola, asparagus, and mozzarella combined into delicate springtime roulades? Possibly. The authentic Italian wedding soup, with acini de pepe, shredded chicken, deep greens, and handmade meatballs in light (NOT super salty!) broth? Could be. I know - had to be the tiramisu! Yeah, definitely part of it.Despite the outstanding food, I think the crown jewel of Claudiana is the service. The hostess found a table for us despite several party tables and a separate party room competing for her attention. Our server, Melissa, was the consummate professional, mentioning specials and letting us know that one well-known weekend offering (cioppino) had only a few servings left. She helped us sort through the different risottos, too - which would try the patience of most servers - without a grimace. Our glasses never got below 3/4 full.We left full and happy and eager to return. You should go, too. Well fight you for the fettuccine.
Birthday dinner, party of 4, reservd. a wk in advance, told them 2x guest coming in walker. NOT ADA compliant, no wheelchair or walker can access that front door. Tables not social distance, three inches apart. Carryout took priority over reserv. guests. Took 30 minutes to get salads, additional 30 min for entrees. NY strip ordered medium, came beyond well done and cold . waitress didnt care either. Couple next to us waited 45 minutes for their check. Never going back.
We have now been here twice, in hopes that the second time would be better. In my opinion, the prices are very high for the meal portion, and compared to other high-end Italian restaurants in the area. I didn’t expect to have an “additional charge” on my bill when I asked for more bread, I’ve never been charged for more bread at a restaurant ever. The wait staff is very friendly, but that’s not enough for me to come back.
Ardi and Tasha, the owners, are some of the nicest people in the restaurant business. They are passionate about the food they make and extraordinarily keen to detail when it comes to the ingredients they put in their homemade recipes. The food was excellent. I felt it was very well portioned and very high quality. I enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance of this restaurant.Thank you for a great experience! I’ll be back soon.

We had to sit for about 15 minutes before we had a server which was unfortunate. However, after that, the experience was delightful. My fiancee is not a big drinker, but she found 2 drinks she loved with the guidance of our server. Food was phenomenal, cannot stress this enough. Great place
We had a takeout order from our favorite New Year’s Eve restaurant. Baked Lasagna and Egg plant Parmesan were outstanding. Appreciated their attention for detail for our order and the generous portions. Made our “at home” celebration meaningful that our food was so good. Thank you
Called them at 9:00pm on a Friday night to place a carry-out order. They close at 10:00pm - a full hour later - yet I was told they opted to close the kitchen early on account of it being a slow night. Having worked in food and bev, I totally understand closing early when its slow, but never an hour early on a Friday night. The food might be great, and the staff might be as well but Ill never know since posted business hours are subject to change any given night.
This is the very best restaurant I have ever been to. We had a large party and our service was exceptional, we never wanted for anything. The food was the best I have ever had.... the sauces were excellent and not over done. The homemade pasta was so classic.....Grandmother Claudiana would be so pleased. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcomed and like family. If you want something that will stay in your mind forever go to this place. I am sure it will become one of your favorites as well. Sure wish I could get an order right now.
This place is a gem. While it is a little on the pricey side, you are getting a great, high quality meal for what youre paying. I have been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience or dish. The food is a generous portion and always delicious. They also have a bar and decent wine list. Also this is not a quick service place so dont think youre going to be in and out. This is a place you come to have a relaxing dinner with great friends where you can enjoy the evening.
This is a gem, hidden in plain sight in the strip mall behind City BBQ. The decor is understated elegance, the music just right for sharing conversation during your delicious meal. The portions are quite generous, the prices reasonable, and the food is very, very good. Watch your fingers on their rolls fresh from the oven! Our waitress was excellent -- just the right amount of attention, and very nice. Dont miss it!
The restaurant is dimly lit with a romantic air and mood lighting. Very clean. My waitress Claudia was very nice, polite, and prompt. I had the fettuccine with shrimp and broccoli and the claudiana salad. The food was absolutely amazing! Very delicious and filling. I couldnt even eat everything and I love pasta. Claudia was nice enough to box up my left overs in a snap. Very reasonably priced for such delicious quality.
This is the best Italian in Columbus. The vast majority of their menu is home made, the service is always wonderful, and the price considering the above points is really good as well. The pasta really shines here. It doesnt come out swimming in oil, and has quite a bit of flavor itself without any sauce. Their Friday special is usually a Cioppino (seafood comes in Wednesdays), and it is always loaded. I highly recommend a visit here.
Great service!! This place is my benchmark for all other restaurants, in all aspects. Very clean, very quaint and has a nice vibe about it. Family owned and everythings handmade by their excellent staff in the kitchen. The serving staff is incredible and is never pushy or rude. Ive been going for a year now and can honestly say I have a great experience every time. The owners welcome you as their own family and you feel like you can really relax and enjoy the delicious pastas and wine. An absolute must for anyone who wants the best dining experience!
Ordered takeout from Claudiana at the recommendation from someone on Next Door and were not disappointed. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed every delicious bite, which is a rare phenomenon! The Ravioli Viktoria was exceptional. We will definitely be revisiting, hopefully for dine-in when it reopens.
This was my second time here for lunch. The hostess/waitress was amazing. Very kind, polite, and not pushy. She also remembered what kind of water we wanted from our last visit. The food was excellent and served without much of a wait. I would highly recommend this establishment and I will be going there more often.
Manager was so rude. Gratuity was included on our bill but we left an extra $5. He had the audacity to tell my mom excuse me but you only tipped $5, thats only 5 percent of this bill he was so rude it was incredible. He also stood two feet behind us and argued with his wife for 15 minutes. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give a zero I would. People dont deserve to be treated like that. We had a large group and spent a lot of money and we gave a generous tip plus more. It ruined my moms night she was so upset.
Outstanding Italian food you can tell is homemade and made fresh. I cant validate for sure, but the noodles tasted fresh as if they were never dried or store bought and boiled. Its rare to ever eat pasta that is made that day and Im pretty these were.I most definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for Italian.
The food was amazing! The only problem was the grumpy old lady at the counter when you first walk in. She never spoke or made eye contact with us. My husband wanted to just leave and go somewhere else due to the first impression that this lady made. We ended up staying. Our server was attentive. The food was excellent!!
Food was wonderful but pricey. Great menu. Our first time there and pleasantly surprised with the elegance for a strip-center restaurant. Regular customers were obvious in the way staff greeted and interacted with them but we felt the staff was snobbish toward us from the time we entered.
Its a pity. Because the food was great, but alas alack, the noise level form a table nearby table became intolerable I spoke to the server and she basically said that we would just need to suck it up.I asked for the manager, but he refused to appear. The food was good, but this place is way too rowdy for a quiet dinner.Ill not darken their door again. It appears to be a hangout for Flatland Hillbillies.
Horrible experience as a whole. My brother in law called ahead weeks ago to make a reservation for 11 people, for my sisters birthday. When we arrived, we were told we didnt show up at the right time. Which was absolutely ridiculous, how could my brother in law just randomly make up an incorrect time? We were all talking when he made the phone call, we all knew the time that was reserved, and we were there fifteen minutes ahead of time, not late as we were told. They were able to fit us in (the dining room was nearly empty and I know why, now!) The server actually had the nerve to confront my brother in law AGAIN about the reservation time, to tell him he was wrong, while we were all trying to enjoy. Then we were told it was going to take a very long time because there was a party in another room. Now it started to make sense, why they tried to turn us away. They didnt want us there. Dinner was disappointing, everything was oversalted. My fiances dish did not come as described on the menu. Some in our party were satisfied. My lemocello martini was good. It took 35 minutes to get our checks and leave. Heres the worst part of the whole evening...as we were leaving, this man...I assume the manager? Went off on my Mom about not leaving a tip....the server intervened to tell him that gratuity was included because our party was large. This psycho followed my mom to the parking lot trying to fight with her. Never ever go here.
Delicious food and very accommodating of allergies (in particular mine is Dairy [Milk, butter, cheese, etc] ) and I was able to eat foods I normally wouldn’t be able to eat anywhere else (highly recommend the Chicken Penne)! Excellent experience, plenty of options, and kind staff!
My wife and I brought 4 of our family members here for a Labor Day dinner. We arrived early and there were only two other people in the restaurant. Our waitress was pleasant but the food delivery was very slow. One of their most expensive wine was only so-so and it was served incorrectly. The main courses began arriving more than an hour after we sat down. We have a standard rule in our family that none of us begin eating until all of us are served. Our entrees arrived one at a time with about 1-2 minutes between each. I asked a man, who identified himself as the owner, to please help the waitress bring out all the entrees ASAP. He went in the back and we never saw him again. By the time they all had been served the first ones were cold. The others had cooled down significantly. Otherwise, the food was excellent.
This place is a gem! First off, you walk in to tables covered in white table cloths, candle flickering in the center, theres a wood clad bar in the back with the classic mirror and glass shelves with an array of liquor and wine bottles, turned down lighting, so the atmosphere is so inviting and charming. The staff were friendly, the food was authentic, noodles homemade, sauces homemade, crusty homemade bread, and the food was delicious! Well be going back again!
Service was kind of rocky. Food was fresh and delicious. Just wish the server gave a damn about us. We felt we were ignored for bigger tables and the server was very money driven (based on how friendly server was to the larger table). We felt as soon as we didnt order alcohol, this individuals body language changed. After that, we were not checked on (only when food came). The food saved our experience. Really its excellent.
Wow! That is the first thing I said upon walking in the door. This place is amazing! I love Italian food so my fiancé and I came on Saturday 10/28 right after the game. We were greeted by a really nice girl who also waited on us and she was so sweet, I told her I wanted chicken Alfredo which is all I ever eat but she made sure I enjoyed it and can I just say WOW!! Everything was so fresh, moist and tender. I can not wait to go back! I actually tried going the next day but they are close on Sunday’s so just know this place is “The BEST”!!
I am very disappointed in the service I received. Waitress got my order wrong twice, charged me $6 for 4 shrimp and didnt realize she gave me a childs size and charged me for an adults entree. My fiance said no cheese I do not want.cheese on anything. She even joked that it was odd because she loves cheese. She brought food with cheese on it. When we told her the error she got very upset took the plate and stormed off, came back with a different plate within 2 seconds, after moving the pasta aside... there it was... cheese on the bottom, she literally flipped the food over to hide the cheese on the bottom. After messing up my order and taking the order back multiple times and rolling her eyes, I am out almost $100 on a meal that wasnt what I ordered. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever.
When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation (we did not) so we were given the booth closest to the cold front door with a few not-so-nice looks from an older gentleman that was working. Our server was excellent, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The food was good, but the only reason it was worth $20 a plate was because of the enormous serving sizes. The full size ceaser salad we ordered was bland, just lettuce cheese, egg, and exactly 2 croutons...
Just amazing italian cuisine ever. I was a little hesitant to go to this place, considering it looked small and did not really feel like its a restaurant to begin with. But entering this place, just changed the entire perception for me. It looked like secret restaurant inside with all of a sudden so many people waiting at their table. Anyhow food is really really good. Do try their limoncello, tiramisu and vegetable Gnocchi. I am going back here again ✌🏽🌹
Very nice classic Italian restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. They play classic Italian music which is very nice. The food is excellent and the rolls are to die for. I myself had the lasagna which you can always tell an Italian place by its lasagna. It was fantastic good portions and had just enough zest and cheese to make it wonderful. My lady had fettucini Alfredo and you can tell the alfredo sauce is made in house and as well as the pasta. Try the cannolis they are wonderful. The only reason why I didnt give this place five stars is because the service is a little slow.
Wife and I went to this restaurant to grab dinner. Hostess was extremely rude and unprofessional upon initial entry of restaurant, due to the fact that we didn’t have a reservation. This was a Wednesday evening mind you and this is not a five star or Michelan restaurant. Anyway, the server or cooks jacked up our appetizer order and brought it out 15 minutes past when our entrees arrived. Needless to say, we were not impressed with this restaurant due to the poor attitude and incompetence of the wait/kitchen staff. I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. Happy hunting.
We took our daughter here for lunch last Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail with every dish. Everything was homemade (pasta included)and delicious. We enjoyed the House Salad, Lasagne and decadent Tiramisu. Also, loved the gentleman who waited on us. We will definitely be back !!
Me and my family went in there for dinner. The service and appetizer started off decent but then the empty appetizer plate stood on the table for 45 minutes and once our food came out it was cold and tastes like Chef Boyardee. And when I said something about my food being cold. The owner was very rude About it. But at that point I lost my appetite waiting so long and it being cold.. Her husband came out and apologized for her being so rude. But I will never go back there again..
We were visiting Columbus and was looking for a good restaurant and I was not disappointed. Staff was as friendly as can be. I am a restaurant goer and eat out almost every night and I have to say this place has the best food I have ever had in my lifetime. I will defiantly come here again even as the drive is two hours. I highly recommend this restaurant as it has met and blown past my standards and I am sure you will see the same when you go here. Great food (being that everything is homemade from scratch), great service, and great environment. If you are looking for a restaurant go to claudianas.
Claudiana Italian Restaurant is a nice surprise in this strip mall in the Polaris area. A charming dining room with Italian music makes for a relaxing dining experience. All the sauces and bread are homemade as well as a majority of the pasta. Fresh Fresh Fresh! A bit pricey for us and they did not accept the Entertainment Book coupon but did have a sign on the door clearly stating that. We ate there anyway. If you can enjoy and appreciate a fresh homemade Italian meal, then you will feel at home as you dine at the Claudiana Italian Restaurant.
I tried this place with my boyfriend last night. I was blown away by how amazing it was. The reviews I read before I went were right about this place being a diamond in the rough. When we walked up to the restaurant, my boyfriend was a little skeptical at first, but once you get inside, the restaurant has a very classy look. We were immediately greeted by the owner of the restaurant. He was very nice and seated us right away. I loved how passionate he is about his restaurant and the food he serves. Continuously through out the night, he told us how everything is made from scratch and some stories about why some of the meals are named after his family members. He was so welcoming and told us to take our time to enjoy the entirety of the meal. We felt like we walked in on an Italian family having dinner, it was so authentic.I ordered the Ravioli Alla Viktoria which was absolutely amazing and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan (his absolute favorite food). He was in love with his meal and told me he wanted to come back for dinner the next day haha. I 100% recommend getting the raviolli. It was very delicious. The meal is cooked when ordered so it is made fresh and you know it hasnt been sitting out all day. I am already planning when we can go back. Im so happy to have found this place. If you havent tried it, you need to ASAP.
Absolautely awful experience with the owner. Food took over 45 minutes to arrive and when we tried to address the issue the owner spoke over us, cut us off and made excuses. The situation was incredibly frustrating and nothing was done to remedy. The owner even tried to blame the server who was actually the part of the experience that we enjoyed.
I called Claudiana on a whim because I was looking for a place to surprise my wife on our 1st wedding anniversary. I saw this place on Google and had never heard of it before, but it had great ratings. I called and talked to one of the owners (owned by a husband-wife team), who assured me that we would be very happy with their food and one of the best wine selections in town. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner, seated promptly, and served our wine (Moscato di Asti). Our appetizers (Claudiana Caprese) came before our bread was even on the table (both of which were delicious... and the bread has an herb butter with it thats to-die-for). Our entrees (Eggplant Parmesan and Ravioli alla Viktoria) were phenomenal in all senses. My wife and I agree that its the BEST Italian cuisine weve ever had by a landslide. No exaggeration, its the best. For dessert, which was kindly offered complements of the house on our anniversary, we had their homemade tiramisu. It was, again, delicious. Meanwhile, throughout our meal, we were treated as family by the owners, who were probably the sweetest people weve ever met.In summary, dont waste any more time before you go check this place out. From the outside, it looks small, but the inside is full of charm and romance. Its a great place to take someone special, but it would be an excellent dinner destination for a large group as well. Cant say enough good things about Claudiana Italian Restaurant! Well be back again and again.
Though there were many empty booths/tables, we had to wait 5 minutes to be seated in an area that really doesnt have room for waiting. Other couples were pushing up against us to get into the restaurant.Once we were seated, it was 18 minutes before we were finally visited by our server who wanted to take our order right away. She did come back with fresh bread and soft drinks. Waiting for our food to cook was about another 20 minutes. But when my filet arrived, it looked beautiful. Until it cut it open to eat it and found it was a deep blood red inside, still cool. I ordered medium well. So I asked if she could have them throw it back on the grill for a few minutes, which she did. My husband enjoyed his fettuccini sausage dish, said it was good. My steak returned after about 10 minutes and again, it was not cooked, still very raw looking. By this time, hubby had finished and we had somewhere to be, so I just gave up. $28 wasted. But the worst part was, when the bill arrived, there was a $9.81 SERVICE CHARGE added to it, plus tax. Service charge? For what? And why doesnt it say that on the menu? So, our lovely 16th anniversary dinner out didnt turn out so lovely. I dont think I would eat there again - it seemed too understaffed and my expensive steak was just too raw, even after cooking it twice, so I didnt even get to eat it :( I wouldnt recommend this place at this time.
Came here with a big party which we reserved for and called ahead an when we arrived we received some of the worst service ive ever gotten. They didnt even give us enough seats for all of are guest when we asked for the manager she was extremely rude and did nothing to try to satisfy are request. The food is overpriced and gross will never be back to this establishment.
When you first drive up to the front of Claudianas your going to feel disappointed because it sits in the middle of a strip mall, but dont let that discourage you, the inside is tastefully decorated, white linen tablecloths with candles on the tables. Its quiet, quaint, impeccably clean and a nice place for a date. The service is excellent. As for the food, very flavorful with a wide selection of pasta dishes, lamb chops, veal, and filet mignon. If your looking for great Italian cuisine, Do Not go to your typical chain restaurant, come to Claudianas. You wont be disappointed.
Food was sub-par, especially for the price. I started with the side caesar salad and it could have easily been prepared from a grocery store salad bag kit. For my entree I had the Mediterranean Pescatore - awful. The bay scallops were a little tough (also maybe my fault for assuming would get a couple sea scallops) and the calamari was chewy. The 4-5 mussels in the dish were good, but the dish overall was bland. My husband had the Pollo alla Riveria and it was just OK. The chicken was not very tender. Overall it felt like 2 different meals as the chicken had a creamy cheese sauce and the pasta was red/tomato. We will not be coming back.
It’s good, I can tell the chef knows what they’re doing but each entree would benefit from 3-4 dollars off the price. I’m never disappointed when I go but I’m not really happy with the price I pay for going either. I’ll be back but I’d be back more often if I wasn’t paying NYC prices in Ohio
I work here so I eat here but even on my day off its by far the best Italian food, so I will come here on my day off with the family! I love the limoncello martinis and the baked gnocci. The Filet is to die for, and never leave without getting tiramisu! Best non chain Italian restaurant around!

2022-07-31Second time here and it’s quickly becoming my go to for Italian. The Fettuccine Alla Romana is just fantastic, and all of the food is great. Very well cooked Veal Parmesan. What’s really impressive is how all of the servers and the owners are out there working as a team to check on you and bring out the food. They had a party of 19 and still didn’t skip a beat! I tip my hat to the owners 🤠

2021-12-13Love this restaurant. Ive been coming here for a couple of years. The food is always excellent, the service is great, and it has that classic small Italian restaurant ambience. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain restaurants for this gem. You wont regret it.

2022-05-17The service and food are always dependable. You think fettuccine is just fettuccine until you try this homemade fettuccine - so light it melts in your mouth. Weve been there several times and loved everything we tried. Great generous pours on their cocktails and wonderful wine. Im so glad they are back after covid. Family owned so give this a try instead of the big chain restaurants, youll be glad you did.

2022-08-21My husband and I went here for the first time and we just loved it. I had the chicken parm and my husband had the ravioli. We both loved our meals. The bread was great too with the yummy butter. We loved the atmosphere at the restaurant and the servers were very attentive and good. We can’t wait to go again! Great experience overall!

2021-06-01Really good caesar salad and bread, good drinks, both entrees were fresh and faultless. The cannoli wasnt my favorite but the rest of the meal easily made up for it.

2022-08-07In town for the weekend, had group of 11. 3 other restaurants turned us down! These people were great! Made up a table for us, great service, great food! Thanks to the entire staff for a great dinner!

2022-07-01This used to be our go to for great Italian food. This time it was just ok. Side salads are now $7. So for $20, all you get is your pasta. Waitress brought us 2 rolls and butter with our salads. When we asked for a couple more when our entrees came, they charged us $1.50 for the rolls and $.50 for the butter. Really. 😞

2022-07-18Truly a hidden gem. The Bruschetta was both delicious and beautiful, the lasagna was so flavorful, and the Desserts are a perfect way to round off your meal. Worth every penny for sure, and will definitely be going back.

2021-02-06One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Too bad not centrally located. Menu is diverse & delicious. More than tomatoes. Good service + very good food = great value. Youll want to come back for more.Lunch no longer available. Carry out orders taken beginning at 4pm. Dine in starts at 5pm. COVID guidelines in place.
