Complete scam!!! No bar, no restaurant, both pools permanently closed, no workout room , granola bars instead of a hot breakfast as stated. Mold growing on bathtub seals, 4 of my lamps in my room did not work because 2 didnt even have lightbulbs. All this hotel provides is a bed and cable tv on a rather small old television. If you want or expect anything more then that you will be really disapointed. I went by what hotels.com said and was lied to. Thos site claimed the hotel had 2 pools, a bar and restaurant i could visit and a weight room with a hot breakfast. I am highly disapointed and want a partial refund at minimum. This ruined my vacation and I dont think ill ever use this hotel site ever again. I would have been better off to just find a hotel when I got to my destination. The prices were cheaper to rent the rooms in person then to book on here early. Plus I would have seen that this hotel is in a bad spot and just complete trash.
Older building, needs updates/repairs immediately. Water dripped constantly in the bath tub, toilet paper holder and tissue holder were rusting, carpet was dirty and there were cracks in the wall. On the other hand, the bed was clean, towels were soft and the people friendly.
Nope. Don’t do it unless an emergency. Definitely not worth the price, and you don’t get the lower rate unless you book online. $50 more to book at the front desk. Ridiculous. No way this room was worth the online price, let alone the additional fee. Nothing is modern except the lobby. Torn curtains in the room, old furniture, smelly hallways.
Roof over you head if you need a place to stay for the night but also so it under the bridge. Got checked into a handicap accessible room in which I do not need, the bathroom had no shower curtain and 1 towel. When asked if I could get a shower curtain I got one that doesn’t fit the shower and when asked if I could get a towel I was informed they do not keep extras for guests!
I stayed here from May 20 -24, 2019 during a bus tour. The staff at this hotel had some of the sweetest people. Everyone was personable and willing to help us with whatever issue arose. I felt comfortable during my stay. My only complaint was with my room key. It would work initially and then stop. My roommate had the exact same issue. Other than that, my bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. The fresh fruit served at the Continental Breakfast was my favorite.
I enjoyed my stay. Decent facilities -- some need updating thou. Really appreciated having a mini fridge and microwave. Bed was comfy and AC kept up with the summer! The inside pool was a nice surprise. The staff was friendly. Special kudos to Linda. She is really nice, hard working, and went above and beyond her duties to help guests.
Im only giving it 1 star because I have to give it a star. The sheets were stained, carpet was ripped up and I could tell it hadnt been vacuumed. The bathroom didnt look clean and that was my experience in 2 different rooms. It smelled heavily of cigarette smoke even though it was non smoking. Checked out the moment we checked in. They did give us a refund so maybe the ONE STAR is deserved. But we have to wait a few days for it to hit the account. Wont book here again and wouldnt recommend it.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The indoor pool was enjoyable. The lobby area is very nice, and we did not hear any excess noise during our stay. While there are some minor renovations like updated bathrooms and different curtains that could improve the rooms, it was good overall. My only complaint is that the outdoor pool is closed in the middle of summer and it is one of the reasons we chose to stay at this property. But we would stay here again.
It was a overall good hotel but they need to designate where you can smoke. I have asthma and there was at least 12 people right outside the door smoking which made the lobby smell like smoke. Also just like when you need to be quieter because it was 1 in the morning and there was still people running around and slamming doors. Overall a good experience though. And my dog loved it here!
The room was nice and cool but from there the night went bad. When I walked in there were bugs in the lights and hair in the bathroom. The room looked like only the bed was changed. Next, all night there was a couple in the next room fighting for hours and talking about meth until 5 am. We felt very unsafe and we could not get any sleep. Please have a member of management contact me.
The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. When you enter the hotel everything is clean and organized. Once I checked in and went to my room I noticed the rooms weren’t as nice as I thought from viewing pics/reviews. The hotel could use some upgrades and deep cleaning.
I cannot begin to express how dirty this hotel is. Our room smelled like pee. There was hair all over the shower. We had to check for bed bugs just to make sure there weren’t any. It is not worth $20 a night. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Worst hotel I have ever been to I would also like to add how there was moldy turkey under the bed that we found and stains on the towel. Not to mention the blood stains on the bed. This is the most unacceptable room and the staff and manager should be ashamed of how they manage this hotel.
Large older hotel/conference center. Good location with several restaurants nearby and onsite bar/grill. GREAT breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds. Cleanliness could be better: found some cobwebs in corner and hair in bathroom. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay here again.
This one one of the most pleasurable Hotel stays Ive ever had. Staff the friendliest and most helpful Ive ever encountered..they were more like family by the end of my three week stay. The rooms clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable great night sleep every night. Everything you need plus more, like the indoor pool and I think all for a very very reasonable price! Thank you Kennedy, Anthony and Darren!
Good place to stop for the night but extended stays can be tiring.Edit: raised it a star because of the quick response.Only reall issues I experienced were:1) no house keeping/linen exchange. I ran into one of the cleaning crew and tried to get new towels on my 4th day there. I never got clean ones back. Also there was no place to drop off trash except in the beverage dispenser cut out where other would just dump their trash.2) internet was fritzy at best. It kept resetting, or logging the devices off randomly.
Very disappointed in this hotel. There are 2 pools but the outside one is drained and not working. Should put this on your site so people know. Rooms are not clean. Our bathroom flooded, which I know things like this can happen, however we were not offered anything for having to move rooms at almost 11 pm. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast has a very nice selection.
The staff here are lovely and the rooms are very clean. Spacious meeting hall/conference room as well. I love the indoor pool! They do a great job with upkeep. The only thing I would like to mention is that the elevators make a strange noise .. But it didnt break down at all during my 4 day stay.
The place is nice for the price you can get it at. Out first visit back over thanksgiving was great. The room was a king bed and was pretty spacious. The bathroom was fine. You can tell the place needs to be updated but not desperately. Only problem with this visit is, our room is on the first floor so you hear everything which sucks, we struggled finding our room as he didn’t tell us that the hotel is technically on the second floor when you walk in. We got in the elevator and couldn’t find a floor two because lobby is floor two, moving on the room was smaller and more dated. Their are weird stains on the walls in some places, all the nights have a weird delay like the wiring is bad and there was a bug in here. I’m not sure what kind of bug it wasent a roach or a bed bug it looked like a centipede. So I wish i could do 2 and a half stars for the price and over all say but the dated small room , weird stains and lighting followed by the bugs pretty much blew me off. On the great side the bed is big and spacious and the place is near a White Castle and McDonald’s literally walking distance
Im sorry to say that this has been the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. Were stuck here because we are truckers, and waiting for our truck to be repaired. I am appalled at how disgusting this hotel is. The hallways smell awful, and the carpets are horribly stained. The bathrooms are old, and the rooms are not the cleanest. I cleaned my own room before we sat anything down. And then there is the Over/Under restaurant. Its located on the lobby level of the hotel, but I cant review it because it closes at random hours. However, given the poor state of this hotel, thats probably a good thing. Avoid their shuttle, as it is disgusting on the inside. There are renovations currently underway. However, they are long overdue. If the management had true integrity, then they would close this place until they got it together. This is by far the worst experience.
Its a very pleasant stay. Great welcome and simple quick check-in. Hotel staff are delightful. All genuinely friendly and happy to help, specially Riya at the front desk. The rooms were always clean and tidy. The bed are really comfortable. We came for the first time to Cincinnati last week for this wedding and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend staying at Clarion Hotel.
The front desk and housekeeping crew was extremely nice. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. I also would go to this hotel when I come back to Ohio. The Clarion hotel made my stay a pleasant and enjoyable one thank you.
Check in was smooth. Room was decent. Probably could be updated but it wasnt way out of date. We stayed here for two weeks. A few times we had to ask for supplies for the room like coffee cups or shampoo. I dont know if they dont pay as much attention to you if you are staying for an extended period because the items that needed attention were the basics that would need to be in a room for an incoming guest. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is right off the freeway making for easy access. There is some fast food locations nearby. We never tried the hotel restaurant. The bar always had people in it but rarely did we see anyone dining in the restaurant. They provide a hearty buffet breakfast for for their guests. Scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee. Overall a reasonable place to stay.
My wife and I stayed here for one nigh for a short weekend getaway to a comedy club nearby. We felt that even though they were clearly in the remodeling process the hotel felt a little outdated and wasnt very clean. The room felt and looked as if it wasnt thoroughly cleaned, the surfaces werent dusted and the carpet was dirty. The bathroom sink leaked all over when it was turned on and the shower head was rusty. The front desk staff was friendly which is really the only good thing I can say about the hotel. I would not stay at this clarion again next time Im in the area.
The last 3 times I stayed there was great. But I canceled my last reservation. The front desk couldnt keep my rooms straight. They checked in one of my party and canceled the rest. Then wouldnt give me the same rate. I couldnt understand why because everything was booked with choice hotels. But they wouldnt honor it. Not staying here again. In Cincinnati all the time will have to find some place new now.
The hotel lobby was nice, but the rooms was not as expected. We had a room on the third floor and it seems a little run down, hallways smelled bad and the room could of been a little cleaner. The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. Staff was not friendly either and the outside pool was not filled.
Have stayed at this location when it was owned by a different chain. Not much has changed with new owners. Even the green lightbulbs are still there. Its a decent hotel, nothing exciting. Like the tall building as it has some decent views of the area. Parking is a little cramped, but still enough spaces. Would stay here again. Included breakfast was okay. Server was annoying as one refused to believe it was included in my stay.
I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the hotel - everything was updated and clean and it appeared to be an underrated hotel at only 3 stars. However my opinion changed once we got to our room on the 12th floor. Paint chipping off the walls, dents and scratches on all the doors, carpet was dirty, the lamps in our room did not work (the light switch was broken off), every vending machine was empty. The hallways were very, very noisy. It was just not a pleasant experience at all, but I only paid $50 for the room, so I guess you get what you pay for.
After a horrible experience at another hotel by the grace of God we found a room at the clarion (travel ball season and all the hotels in the area are completely booked). From the first seconds there I was very happy. The lobby is very clean and the people behind the desk are extremely helpful. I reserved a room for 1 bed 2 people and after hearing my horror story i was upgraded to a 2 bed room at no cost. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The customer service alone would make me stay here again and the nice room is just a bonus.
Nice hotel, the front desk staff was super accommodating (Sani was great), our room, even thou it wasnt on one of the updated floors, was nice and clean and spacious (carpet was a little stained, but it was clean) We stayed here for over a week while waiting on our new place to get ready, and would highly recommend the clarion to everyone, from the one night traveler, to the families on vacation, and the people relocating. The indoor pool was nice, they had three elevators for their twelve floors, so you never had to wait long for one, and the free hot breakfast buffet in the morning was fine, especially for the affordable rate they were charging for their rooms. All things considered, what you get for 60-100 bucks a night is definitely worth it. The choice hotel reward program is also definitely worth your time to enroll in if your planning on staying long.
Got an express deal on priceline. Excellent value and stay. Everyone was very friendly. Our room was on one of the floors not yet renovated, but our king room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was great as well! The free breakfast wins it all. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuit and gravy, waffle, different cereals, breads, juices, and fruit. Great experience over all! Check out New Krishna near by for some great food!
Beautiful place. Good amounts of spots for truck parking. Main hall is beautiful and very bright. The hall to the rooms makes me feel if the place was renovated. Not sure. Didnt ask. The room itself was pretty clean. Nice size. Pics attached. Customer service was awesome. No attitudes. Only stayed for one night so cant go into detail about all the amenities, but I have no complaints. Pretty cheap too.
The hotel was fine for an overnight stay and they were in the midst of renovation. The indoor pool area looked nice and the restaurant served a decent buffet breakfast that was included in the room price. The outdoor pool was not opened and the first floor was in need of repair. Decent stay at a reasonable rate.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The indoor pool was perfect for little swimmers with a 1 foot section connected to the main pool by a short wall, and the pool itself was nice and warm. Only complaint about pool area would be the pebble deck around the pool had some loose stones.Lots of fast food/drive through options nearby, and a grocery too if you want to stock the mini fridge. The rooms could use some updating and the hotel seemed to be showing its age but overall for the price we got it for on Priceline, I cant complain.
Staff was extremely friendly and respectful and understanding. 24 hour coffee, breakfast was great! Bar and resraurant attached. The rooms were clean and tidy. The bathrooms were being updated but some cracks in the wall and sink didnt bother us. Shower was great and the pool was just enough for some fun.
Decent service but the room was dirty and outdated not to mention delapadated. Pool was ice cold and I found acrylic nails floating around the rest of the pictures speak for themselves. They also gave me a hard time when I decided to leave and the refund still hasnt been posted I would also at this point like to point out that if you go and check any of the responses to poor reviews of their hotel theyre all the same generic response.
Dont be fooled by the star rating of this hotel it needs to be taken down. The bathroom was dirty ,the shower had hairs it, the bathroom floor also had some kind of I dont know what stuck all over it , the towels didnt even smell clean , the carpet was filthy. It did not look like a room had been maintained in a very long time. We were supposed to be in a non-smoking hotel but every time we stepped out of our door we could smell smoke. It was 2 in the morning when we checked in and if we were not so exhausted we would have left and try to look for another hotel room. FYI we were in room 601 or 611. The only thing this hotel room had going for itself where the beds were decently comfortable for a hotel.
Had a room on the 11th floor. Nice view of all the lights 😁 My clean room was larger than expected, with a king size bed, a refrigerator, hair dryer, flat screen rotating TV, an iron and an ironing board, coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and the water got very hot. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar on site, on the other side of the lobby and pool. Interesting that the windowed pool room is directly behind you when standing at the check in desk in the lobby of the hotel. Theres also a small gym with a few exercise machines. The hotel staff were very friendly as were the servers and staff in the restaurant. Theres also a shuttle.
Outside pool closed and a disaster zone. First floor lobby and bar must have been 80 degrees. People were extremely friendly. The hotel is totally run down. Clarion do your employees a favor and renovate that place or you will lose your good employees and get rated 1s.
I seen a comment that said rooms small for the price. Umm I beg to differ. Rooms are very spacious and very clean and updated. Pool is nice. The bar and the staff is great. I checked other hotels and this is by far the best bang for your buck. 2 star roach motels were more expensive than here. I am very satisfied with our choice and we will definitely stay here again.
The first room they put us in was dirty, the second room was better, however, they half cleaned up our rooms everyday (4 day holiday weekend) (HOUSEKEEPING ISSUE), our microwaves (after our 1st and 2nd attempt of getting a new one) kept beeping THROUGHOUT the night, so ultimately we had to unplugg it so we could sleep. And we had to wait 3 hours for clean towels after midnight because they failed to start preparing clean ones through out the day. The front desk staff had GREAT attitudes and the breakfast was good. But thats the only positive thing I really have to say, that n that the location is good because its near alot of fast food restaurants.
Well our stay lasted about 6 minutes we checked in we were given the wrong price for the room .. our room was garbage .. it was my daughters birthday and being after Christmas when she wants to swim for her birthday all you can do is rent a hotel with a pool . Well the pool was not clean oh how I wish I took pictures the pumps to the pool were not working had no smell of chemicals and the water was rust brown 😐 yes brown water Im not sure what kinda illnesses we would have gotten from it . Something kept falling from the ceiling into the water loose gravel all around it to say this area was a safety issue is an understatement. The door lock that requires a card to gain entry didnt work at all so I really hope people keep a eye on your children cause I can imagine how easy it would be for them to get into the water being the door does not lock .. to make this better they charged my card before we even seen the room so to go to another hotel that may have a nice pool is not even a possibility now thanks for that I got to listen to my 4 year old baby girl cry the whole way home on her birthday that she was looking so forward to
One of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a hotel!! We had to stay at the Clarion because it was the hotel that our soccer tournament assigned us to. We booked the hotel 3 months ahead of time only to find out that they overbooked the hotel when we tried to check in at 9-10pm in the evening. The hotel reassigned our room that was a double bed room that I was sharing with another mom and player and gave us a king bed room with a pull out double bed. Then they had to send some of our team to another hotel. When we complained about it, one of the gentleman behind the desk was extremely rude and just said thats just how it is. We had many families from our team that had issues! When we got to our non-smoking room, it smelled like smoke, the mini frig didnt work, the entire bathroom ceiling Had peeling paint, and the room wasnt very clean. I would not recommend this hotel!!
Was overcharged for room. Booked and reserved through Orbitz. Was charged more than room was contracted for. Amenities were nice, but cant give good review when I was charged over double what the room was supposed to be. Ill never stay at any Clarion hotel after this.
Hotel was nice. Checked in at 1am, there was a group of men standing around the front door. I thought they were going to fight, as I walked by to go inside they did not give me any trouble though. Hotel security was on site and made me feel safer. I had no trouble at this hotel. It was in a nice, safe area. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Check in and check out were fast and easy. Will be staying again!
I mean the room was nice. It was overpriced like normal. But I guess theyre going through a remodel or something it was just weird I dont know if people were living out of the first floor?!. The elevators made me nervous. The bar closed at 11 There was no parking, the breakfast was aight just the standard stuff. I would only book here if it was last minute until the renovation is done.
Friendly staff, newly renovated rooms, an indoor heated pool, game room, restaurant on sight and a bar. What more could I have asked for. Came here for my birthday party with a group of my friends. I was a little hesitant to pick this place with the mixed reviews. But Im glad I did. They treated me super well, LOVED the free breakfast, and Patty did such a great job in doing up the banquet hall for my birthday will all my demands and how I wanted it. Definitely recommend if youre looking for comfort and great service at a price that wont put a hole in your pocket!
Will never stay in this hotel again. Stayed there in November 2018 for a woodcarving show. Came home and two days later ended up getting bites from something. Went to my doctor and he said it was bedbugs. Sure enough, my husband has found over 40 bedbugs. We have ended up getting the bed sprayed several times by an exterminator, have bought a new mattress and box springs with sheets with special zippers to repel bugs and we found some more this morning!!!! In all the traveling we have done over the years we have never experienced this before. Will be calling the exterminator again. This has cost us over $2,500 to try to get rid of these pests. I should not have even given this one star - that was a mistake and I cant get rid of it.
The room was nice enough and the stay was restful. The night receptionist could use some training on how to put down his phone and speak to the guests. The pool safety railing is loose and the complimentary breakfast reminded me of what the army served us during field training. All in all, anyone looking for a comfortable sleep will find it here. If you want to take advantage of other amenities, you may want to go elsewhere.
This hotel is not clean and over priced. I started out by cleaning the air filters, which may have never been cleaned. It was like cleaning out laundry lent from a dryer. Well, we could live with that. However, we could not live with bed bugs. At about 11:00 PM we saw and captured a bed bug in our bed. We killed it and took it to the staff and asked for a refund. Which they gladly did. It was traumatizing for myself and my 2 children to have to pay for another uber to another hotel at 12 at night. It was cold outside and many hotels didnt have openings. We finally found one but had to pay a lot because it was short notice and a Friday night. This experience made us pay extra money out of our pockets that we should have never had to pay. Not to mention the fear of knowing you could take bed bugs home. The staff did nothing to help us locate a ride or another place to stay. They refused to help with transportation as well. When you have to leave somewhere because of unclean and unsanitary conditions you expect more courtesy, especially that late at night. Never again will I stay at a clarion hotel. I may never stay at a choice hotel either as their customer service did nothing. I should have known better and stayed at a Marriott. Please do not bring your family to this Clarion hotel you will regret it.
Not great for the price. The room was dingy and smelled like dog pee. There was a leak in the shower so water ended up all over the floor, and a badly water damaged section of wall near the floor that indicated it had been leaking for a long time. The AC unit was loud, had some kind of whitish residue on it, and dripped onto the carpet. Frankly, Ive stayed in better rooms at Red Roof Inn. That said, every staff member I spoke to during my stay was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Anthony at the front desk. I got a Priceline rate on my room using the 3 star hotel deal, and this was nowhere close to a 3 star accommodation - I would be absolutely livid if Id paid the hotels listed rate for my stay. I wouldnt recommend this location and wont be staying there again.
Wish the pool would of been working. Their hot and cold complementary breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices to choose from. Make your own waffle, toast, bagels with cream cheese, biscuits and gravy, sausage links, country fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, doughnuts.....I mean you name it. Would recommend the stay.
As soon as you walk in it looks way below the level of luxury the photos give it on the website. The rooms are very outdated and not as clean as they should be. He sheets are a very cheap quality. We came down to this area a day early TO ONLY USE THE POOL WITH OUR SON that night. The heated pool is FREEZING. So I wasted my money booking this hotel. The pool chairs and tables are all chipped and scratched up also. When I went to use the shower the shower head was pointed directly to the outside of the tub. So it soaked myself and the floor. The head was also put on a jet option so it went everywhere. (who looks at the shower head before getting in to make sure its pointed in the tub?) The faulty amenities should be posted saying they dont work, the non heated pool and the outside pool which has construction tape around it.
Hotel in process of being renovated. Attended with a group and our rate, a little high, was supposed to be in the newly renovated rooms, whereas, most of us were placed in unrenovated rooms. Common areas of the hotel are nice, though, and staff are friendly. Includes a breakfast buffet in the adjoining restaurant.
Disappointing and frustrating experience from beginning to end, and it keeps going. Price gauging for being required to stay at this hotel due to a baseball tourney. What we were charged was outrageous, especially when another team was charged significantly less than our team. Our room, especially the bathroom was filthy, filled with mold and they had masking tape holding together the tile. First morning of breakfast, as the sun was shining in the windows, you could visibly see cobwebs on several of the booths and the food was not very good. Then to top it all off we have been charged twice for our stay. I am now on my second time having to call to get our credit card credited. Making us wait 7-10 business days for a credit is ridiculous, especially when I have waited once already. The second call resulted in being transferred twice and a 40 minute phone call with no solid guarantee that they will credit our card. I now have to wait another 7-10 business days and hope they will actually credit our card. Frustrating and disappointing!
At first, i wasnt sure. I was surprised that for a Clarion, it was actually decent. There was a mini fridge which was nice, the water pressure was great, AC worked, bed was actually comfy, but breakfast was bland. Although, the gravy was really good. Front desk was prompt and nice... please give the guy who checked me in my regards- thank you for making my 1st trip to Cincinnati favorable and suggesting things to do. I traveled alone and had no issues or worries staying here.
This hotel gave me an experience that was very average. The room was dated, yet clean. There was a tolerable, yet noticeable smell coming from the air conditioning unit. The walls are thin and you can hear conversations going on next door. I will add that the hotel seems to be under renovations, however it will take more than minor touch ups to bring it to the 3 Star rating that Priceline gives this hotel. For the price, it was worth it. But if you dont find this one using express deals or less than $60/per night, I would find another place to stay. However, I probably will not stay here again.
The room was nice and large with two king size beds and nice desk. It had a refrigerator and a microwave. The breakfast was very disappointing. It had small round eggs which were cold and rubbery. There were only two choices of cereal. The lever when I first used it was so strong that cereal spilled all over the floor. It was not what I expected for a hotel of that caliber. The people at the desk were friendly.
Stayed at this hotel and was pleasently surpirsed after reading the previous reviews, but I enjoyed my stay. The location was great, situated by many stores for anything you could need. The indoor pool was just lovely. And the bar/ restaurant was delicious and budget friendly. I will be using this hotel again. My only complaint was my room wasnt refreshed with clean towels, but the front desk gave me new ones without a peep.
Pool is damaged, meeting rooms are large enough, but everything has a 1970s feel... you can smell the musty carpet. Even the inside pool was closed from what I could tell the clientele was not to high priced I would say this is a mid level hotel motel and questionable at that not sure what the prices are I was going to a job fair and they served tap water at the job fair yuck the water tasted disgusting.
Not the best by a long shot. Stained carpets everywhere, broken toilet, stuck door, not friendly front desk clerks except black lady in am, was very nice but the black people staying there (none of them said hi when I said hi) just give you dirty looks, and Im not white? Very disrespectful. The location was good and so was breakfast. Your typical Muslim ran or owned hotel who hates Americans
I booked a room with you for June 2, but the website defaulted to July 2. I called customer service immediately and was told that I could get the original cancelled and rebooked for June 2. The expectation was set that the money I paid for July 2 would be used to pay for the June 2 booking. Instead, I was charged for both, but my July booking was cancelled. I have spend hours over the last 2 days calling customer service and keep being told that I’m getting a refund. The lady at the front desk said I should expect it in 24 hours, but I didn’t get it. Then, customer service said that she lied and a refund was never processed. I continue to get he run around and the people at the front desk keep giving me excuses as to why I can’t speak with the GM (they’re not in, but will be within 2 hours and to call back.) I’m not an idiom and I know when I’m being brushed off. I expect that money to be put back in my bank account as it has been promised numerous times.
My truck broke down, and intially had planned on the motel 6 a few miles away. I came here at the recommendation of the peterbilt dealership staff. They have a complimentary shuttle to and from so I dont have to pay an Uber, hot breakfast. In hotel bar and diner. Rooms are nice, well heated or chilled. Thick blankets. Decent TVs, and bathrooms are very clean, the only thing that caught my eye was some rooms have peeled paint the bathroom due to steam Im assuming, and the carpets are getting stained and old. Otherwise a very nice and pleasent stay, great and friendly staff, absolutely worth the price.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a lovely facility that had all the amenities you would want. Also the breakfast they provide is excellent. Only downside is that the bar/ kitchen closes at 10 p.m. other than that I have nothing but nice things to say about this hotel.
This hotel is MAYBE 2 star hotel, if that. The room smelled like a cross between mold and feet. Disgusting! The wall paper in the corner looked like it had been pieced back on, like there were some repairs(maybe water damage?!)behind it. The pillow cases were wrinkled like they hadnt been changed. Bed had a big dip in the middle and you could feel springs . NOT worth the money they charge, not comparable to the kind of hotel it said it was similar to. On a positive note, Lyndsay, the staff at from desk, was very nice!! Would never stay there again though.
I stayed at this place a couple months ago. There was a young man, I believe he was related to the owners maybe. Anyway, I was waiting at the check in line, no one else besides me. There was a young man he was texting or doing something on his cell phone that he completely ignored me. I must have waited 10 minutes before I got any help from him. His service was rude and bad manner. I was thinking to myself, if this knuckle head is working for me I would fired him already. I hope the owner taking this matter seriously, this man will destroy your business.
Great Hotel great employees very very nice will help out with anything that they can Chris at the front desk is awesome the housekeeper I cant remember her name but shes great also I very much recommend if youre in Sharonville and need a hotel this is the only one to go to all the other ones are trashy and low budget!
Everyone is friendly. There was condensation on the walls of the room. Breakfast is sausage, biscuits, eggs, oatmeal, fried potatoes, some fruit, yogurt...it is not great, but edible. The place isnt new, but not disgusting. Love free parking, breakfast, and internet. Even has space for big trucks. No sewing kit available. I did expect a 3 star hotel to be nicer...but it isnt the worst place I have ever stayed.
For the price, it was close to our venue and had everything we needed. It wasnt a great hotel by any stretch, but the beds were comfy and clean and breakfast was included. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. They are in the midst of renovations and the updates are nice where they are finished.
Nice rooms, clean and neat. The receptionists were snotty and slow and showed negative enthusiasm getting us our rooms. I was issued a room that had an older gentleman already in it and caused me to get a gun pulled on me. When I returned the key card and stated the issue, I received a dirty look and was told Id have to wait. The breakfast was undercooked and low on about every item. The wifi was slow and repeatedly had to re-log on. When I called the front desk to ask for assistance I was told it was my device and to deal with it. For what they charged me I could have gotten better service at a homeless shelter.
The cleanliness of the hotel was beyond disappointing as was managements response! We stood here for a week, and to our disgust there were public hairs found in the washcloths!!! I found Pubic hair in multiple washcloths each day for the first three days. Day 1 I called and asked to speak to management was advised he was busy and would contact me, he didnt. Day 2 I found more pubic hair belonging to someone else on what was suppose to be “clean” washcloths. I called again advised them I had the same issue and that I was disappointed management never contacted me. They just apologized again and no manager ever called. Day 3 again I found more public hairs belonging to someone else smh. By this time I accept the fact that no manager cared to do anything about it or apologize personally for the nasty discovery, so I called down Again requesting clean wash cloths. By day 4 we finally had clean washcloths in our room. At least it seemed house keeping was aware so no one else would experience that gross discovery. Also beds aren’t comfortable. The bathroom had terrible leakage both from the sink and shower, floor would get wet everytime you used either. And hotel is older. Would NEVER stay here again and neither should anyone else who cares to have clean washcloths to put on their bodies. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. What manager doesn’t call to apologize after a complaint like that? No one should have to experience what we did, absolutely disgusting!!!!
We were several coaches of travelers. This was our banquet before all going home. Food was good, if a little bland. But choice of chicken, beef or fish, roasted potatoes, mixed veggies, and garden salad and dessert meant everyone was well fed. Entertainment was not that good. Frank Sinatra wannabe, and Marilyn Monroe played as a truly terrible blonde joke. Neither was that good, if not down right bad.Hotel itself was nice and staff and caterers were friendly and extremely efficient.
Nice hotel, great guest service, only thing I didnt like was a group of guess were there and they made the visit uncomfortable for my 8 year old daughter and I. They were loud, the smell of smoke wreaked thru out the hotel. They walked around hotel half naked, etc. I was having a mother and daughter weekend. We were confined to our room when we were there because I didnt want my 8 year old exposed to their behavior. Microwave didnt work. Was brought another microwave but it was dirty. Other than that. Friendly, great hospitality, great guess service.
Part of a group that booked at the same time. We had to all cancel because of a sick kid. Apparently, only my ticket had a no cancellation policy. They let everyone else cancel free of charge but not me. And the hotel is fully booked. So they can resell the room and get paid twice for it. They do business like theives.
Stayed here during the Memorial Day weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, with tv refrigerator, microwave, 2 queen bed , chair and sofa . The toilet was kept clean and tidy with towels and soaps. WiFi was provided during checkin . The best thing about this stay was the complementary continental breakfast with lot of options.
This was a NIGHTMARE!! ... We traveled 4 hours for a soccer tournament, and when we got to the Hotel we were told we didnt have a room! Our reservations were made with our soccer team and we were supposed to have a block of rooms. I CALLED the morning of travel and confirmed our reservation with the CONFIRMATION number I was given a month ago (when I made the reservation) and was told I was good to go. Yet at the time of arrival, we had not even been assigned a room and they had no rooms available. We were further told they were overbooked by 2/3rds and because there were other tournaments, pet shows, conventions going on around Cincinnati ... there were no rooms available within a 20 Mile Radius ... The only reason I did eventually get a room was because the woman ahead of me in line refused hers as it was not yet ready and she went somewhere else. Initially I was told they could not assign me her room, but I refused to leave as I LITERLLY had nowhere else to go, so they did assign the room to me. I was then told by management my stay would be No Charge, I even have the 0.00 balance due receipt, which was slipped under my door the day of checkout ... Yet, three days later, I was charged!I know of people who were checked into rooms that had not yet been cleaned, another family was checked into a room at 11:30 PM, given a key and when they tried to enter the room ... there was another family already in the room! Yet another family was charged 3 TIMES, that is almost $700.00!The only good thing I can say about this place is: The cleaning staff and I believe it was the maintenance manager tried their best to address what they could, which unfortunately wasnt much.I will be doing my very best to get a refund / report the charges on my card as fraudulent. This Clarion Hotel will be reported to the BBB and I will be posting this review on EVERY travel review sight I can find. This disaster could have been handled better / even avoided all together but every person who could have addressed it leading up to 04/21/2017 dropped the ball along the way.
The pictures are decieving. The pool is half the size it looks in the pictures. There is paint chippings on the bottom of the pool and pieces of paint sticking up. The vending machines were out of order. The hallways look like the projects. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable but the room is in need of SERIOUS maintenance. The wall had a fist size dent in it, the phone didnt work, the walls needed paint due to chipping, the bathroom wall by the tub was rotted through, the toilet paper and tissue holders were rusted. The staff was excellent! Very helpful and appilogetic.
Really not 3 star quality. Hotel badly needs an update. Simple things like a coat of paint and new carpets. Bedding covers had stains of I dont know what. Ive stayed here twice in 2 different rooms over the past year so its not a fluke. I hope the new owners will invest some money into it.
Booked this hotel through Priceline. I would definitely classify it as a 2 star hotel. Its dated and has an old odor. Beware that they are also doing construction, which was not listed on the Priceline website. That may deter people from choosing this hotel when there are similar, better quality hotels in the area. There are signs on every floor alerting guests to pardon the dust and noise due to renovations. Also, the hotel failed to provide Priceline with their updated pet policy. They state that they are pet friendly but change $30 for the first day, and recurring charges for additional days. I dont mind paying the pet fee when I know upfront what the charges will be. However, the hotel doesnt indicate that there will be any additional charges. Given the condition of the hotel, the total cost for staying here is not worth the price. There are certainly better options to be considered if visiting Cincinnati.
The original room they put us in was dirty. Hair around the sink and on the surrounding tub walls. The tub was rusty and filthy stained with filth. The room had small bits of paper all over it and the drawers were filthy. The AC unit grate was broken with huge dead bugs in it. Called desk and sent up a housekeeper who said this room should be taken out of commission. They change us rooms then charge us again another 92.43 for incidentals. First their sign says if paying cash will need a credit card for incidentals and on the paper we signed says If such damages is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guests attention but if discovered after guests have departed then we deserve the right to make a change to the guests credit/debit card. Well we didnt leave and nothing was brought to our attention and of course when you call customer service they are closed. Then we have some guy arguing with us who we do not know who the bleep he thinks he is. So they refunded the first charge and we are told that we will have the 92.43 by Monday. If not they said we can dispute the charge and they will not fight us but refused to give us a letter in writing to that effect. We were not the only ones having issues...another group got double charged, keys to several rooms not working. Please help them get their act together.
I stayed at this hotel every Thursday for almost 2 years. You can guarantee that they will tell you one thing and do the complete opposite . They say they will make your reservation for the following week and it doesnt happenOne day you get choice privilege points the next stay you dontFoods either cooked or not (have pictures to prove)If your driving a truck and youve worked 13-14 hours they expect you to walk back out and put a parking pass in the window or be towed , its a long walk and its constantly raining. They could just as easily make a list each day of truck numbers and have the tow company come in and check the list instead of making guests wait around for the front desk to figure out what they are going to write on for a parking pass. The front desk is next to impossible to get ahold over the phoneWhen you leave you can guarantee youll be walking through a cloud of cigerette smoke, not from other guests either its usually the front desk guyJust about every 3rd stay they will give you a room key that doesnt workThey have a guy who will mop right up to your shoes while your at the vending machines and act like you shouldnt of been in that room. The 2 times Ive tried to print something from the office room the printers were out of ink .Id avoid this place at all costs.
I was with a group of 90 people who stayed at this hotel. Lets start with a handicap room are not handicap accessible. House keeping is terrible when we arrived at 6pm on Thursday right outside the door was someones breakfast (Canadian bacon & hash browns) from that morning laying on floor. House keeping was contacted on Thursday twice about the food but no one came up to take care of it. Friday morning at 10am the food was still in the hall outside the door, when called again and the complaint went from nice to vulgar in order to get the food removed. Maintenance is another area with issues, my sister called about the toilet in her room needed repaired, needless to my sister and her friend had to go down to the desk and get vulgar for maintenance not coming to repair the toilet so they moved them to another room. OMG their free breakfast, all Im going to say is TERRIBLE with a capital T you will be better off going hungry and it would taste better than that mess they call themselves preparing. Now I can see why they were closed (9 months ago). I can see why the Cincinnati Department of Health shut them down. They need to go back out and close them again until they either tear that place down and rebuild (recommended) or until all issues rooms and staff included are drastically improved. DO NOT stay at this hotel it is a dump. The group I was with will NEVER go back nor will they ever recommend anyone to stay there not even a dog.. RUN...Run...stay away....Sleep in your car its cleaner...
Great location easy access to things around us.whe we arrived I told the gentleman on the phone id be checking in between 8am and 12pm hebtold menu would not be charged yet when I did check in they tried to charge me. I then had to settle for a double queen when I paid for a. King that is untill Anthony the manager took care of me he also helped my with my service animal wich the guy the night before my check in supposedly noted did not note.Good staff .except the breakfast attendants, food at the breakfast buffet is not bad .thebyogurt howver tasted like. It had been sitting out to long.Over all a good stay
A very nice place. You would think you where in a more expensive hotel, the people are very nice and professional. It has a bar and grill which is where you have breakfast. They have glass plates real silverware. I would definitely stay here again. It is also pet friendly.
Not bad, not great more just clean and ok. TV had a fuzzy picture after pay 20 dollars to watch a payer view moive. The building has been through a lot it has been through two different companies and I watched this happen its on another one now and the building okay but yes this is an old location I understand that but I could use some love. All in all I would stay here again it was only $55 offline so not a bad deal for a room less than $100 bed was comfortable nice pillows and two pools were quite nice and beautiful.
I booked this hotel on Priceline (name your own price) and I accidentally added the wrong city very far from the airport, where I needed to be. I immediately called Priceline to cancel and they agreed if hotel would cancel as well. Called hotel with Priceline manager twice, but they refused even though it was booked minutes ago and therefore would not affect their sales. The hotel doesnt look like a three star hotel. Furniture, tv, microwave, carpet look old and worn out. The bathrooms all seem to be handicapped and grimy. I would not recommend.
Our room had dangerous electrical shorts, extensive water damage on the ceiling (on the 2nd floor out of 12, mold in the coffee maker, a shortage of towels (that the front desk couldnt supply), a broken window latch, and a bad smell. The pools are empty and in disrepair. No breakfast of any kind and the coffee was sludge.
My bathroom wasnt cleaned when I checked in. The towels were changed but floor wasnt swept the counter wasnt wiped and the garbage wasnt taken out. I cleaned it myself. Then the next day my room wasnt cleaned at all. I called the front desk about this at 5pm and just asked that they send up towels. I called back 2 more times before the towels finally arrived at 9pm.
I would like to change my rating on this hotel. They knew I slept duri g the day and was working at night. Why would they put a large group of people on my floor so they can have a very very loud party and do t care that they were intruding on other guest. When I complained I was told they would move me to another floor. I told them I was here first and have been here for 7 days so you should move them. Did no did they tell them to quite it down no just move to another large room down the hall but they kept running up and down the hall yelling etc. If they treat their guest like this, Im asking my company not to send me back here.
Me and my family came into the hotel tonight and was completely shocked. As soon as we walked in to be quite honest we should have went right out the door then and there. Now do here me out we understand that construction is construction, which is completely understandable. But what is completely unacceptable is that it wasn’t just a tiny construction it was construction that should have been to where the building shouldn’t even be open for business. Well we figured it would be alright due to we only having to stay one night. Now here’s what gets me, we check in and then we get our bags and as soon as we get into the elevator we can already notice that there was safety hazards, but we look past it and head to our room. Now guess what it even gets better so we open the door and immediately you can see stuff in the floor, it’s like it hadn’t been vacuumed in about a week. Well then I myself went to the restroom and proceeded to see a spot in the bathroom where the wall had water damage and I barely touched the spot as it was soft, if I had pushed any harder my hand probably would have went through the wall. Then not only but the remote to the TV didn’t work so my mom proceeded to call the front desk, once they brought the remote we showed the guy what we had seen so far and he asked if we would like to see another room. Both of my parents decided to stay in the room and I the young adult decided to at least give the place a chance and decided to look at another room. Once the guy opened the door to the other room it took him at least three times of switching the like switch before the like even came on. Then I inspected the bathroom and basically the same thing as the room we were already in, so we decided to stay in the room we were already in. Well I returned to the room and my dad had the window open and as soon as you walk in you can see the millions handprints all over the window. Next my brother ask what’s in the chair that’s for the desk area, come to find out that it was dry paint. Now let me mind you this is their newly renovated 8th floor. Not only that, but my stepdad noticed that the fire extinguishers we expired. So with all of this said, we decided to ask for a refund and go somewhere else’s to stay which is much nicer and cleaner than this hotel. Now keep in mind once the renovations are done it might be a better experience. But for now keep this in mind before booking this hotel!!!

Was decent.. food was ok. However, I used the vending machine and had no cash.. used my bank card and they charged me $5 for a $2 Coca cola.. I told the manager and she took my room number down and never even contacted me back.. wouldnt even make eye contact when checked out..
Staff is vary friendly, clean facility, love the pool ,the food is amazing and cheep . Staff was vary acomidating with our service cat . The bar was vary clean and reasonable.Anthony : best choice employee I have ever been around. Was polite kind and vary acomidating. Was even acomidating to our service cat. He even helped us get our food and drink for the evening.
Attended seminar hosted at the Clarion. Facilities were clean, grounds seemed to be under construction but not unsafe, restaurant was not taking guests but the bar did. I ordered a Thai chicken salad for $11. Entree salad price but a lunch sized portion. Wait for food was a little long but it tasted ok. Tables in use at the seminar were tiny, like they could tip at any minute. Very annoying. Chairs were average at best. I would go back for other seminars.
The indoor heated pool was ice cold. The breakfast was nasty. The biscuits were hard, the fruit was old, the juice was stale. But it was free.. There was dirt in our bed. At first I thought it was bugs but it just looked like dirt. The outside of this building looks run down. The rooms are small.
Found a bed bug and trapt it and took pictures. Was told by the fromt desk that they would switch our room and comp us for 1 night which they didnt do. The manager tells me they disnt find anything in the room, then tells me it wasnt a bed bug. Then tells me that the whole floor just got sparyed 1 week ago. Their dumpster is full of box springs and matresses that are on top of everything. So check your room over if you decide to stay and if they tell you something get it in writing. Also a heads up on the outdoor pool. It was filthy, and no one cleaned it all weekend. An employee said they wouldnt clean it until late July-August.
I usually stay here once a month for business. The rooms are nice and staff extremely helpful. So why only 1 star? Lets start with the food in the bar. Since February the food has been bad in one way or another, made myself and others in my company sick. I didnt worry to much just started getting salads with no meat. Then last month I stayed one night, Friday, May 19th, (got a quesadilla this time, still got sick) I woke up Saturday and had bug bites, I didnt think too much of it figured they were from a mosquito. That was until the bites kept appearing starting at my elbow up to my shoulder and on my cheek! I went back to the hotel let them know after telling them I found what was causing these bites! Freaking BED BUGS! I was so disgusted and still itching now. You can still see the bites on my arm. DONT STAY HERE! I threw way my civilian clothes and bag that I had there and drenched my car in bed bug spray, you can still smell it. If I could afford it I would have thrown out my uniform as well.
Stayed here while training for work. Clean room big king size bed was very pleased. Dont like the fact you have to smoke out side. But thats about every where now so I give 4 stars. 5 if they had smoking rooms. Very pleased with my stay. And breakfast was ok atleast it was a warm breakfast and not just fruit and muffins lol
This hotel was horrible. The front desk staff were nice enough, but the conditions were awful. We went down to the outdoor pool and floor 1 was pretty much an ally way; nuts and bolts everywhere, mattresses propped up against the wall, a toilet out of its place leaving a hole in the ground. The door was propped open by a bucket of sand that seemed to be being used as an ash tray and there was bottle caps everywhere. The pool itself was murky. The breakfast was bad. Potatoes were cold, juice was served out of an igloo cooler and they used paper plates and plastic silverware. Our rooms seemed clean at first, but when cleaning up a small amount of water that had spilled on the carpet, the white towel came up gross after a few seconds of cleaning (see pic). We found mold in the bathroom (see pic). After coming back from a trip to Kings Island to put our kids down for nap, it smelt like someone had been smoking pot in the bathroom. One of the people in our party found an hair tie in her bed.Our key would take (no joke) around 20 tries each time to work.I realize theres not much you can do about renovations, but the noise from this kept my children from taking a good nap and for the rate we paid ($133/night), this was definitely not up to standard. I wish I would have taken more detailed pictures.
Construction going on. Family reunion breakfasts were not what pleasant, no bacon and the sausage patty were strange looking. One of the elevators would stop working throughout the weekend. My second room smelled bad. It was one thing after another. Wished for a different hotel.
So far so good. Only bad thing is my room had a bright light outside the window all night and barely get any sleep without taking a sleep aid to knock you out. Pool inside is nice. Hot breakfast with biscuot and gravy, eggs, fried potatoes. Also has a bread and cereal tabel. As well as a make your own waffle maker. One more night to go.Picture below is at midnight on may 18th. No way to block the window off to darken room
This is one of the nicest hotels Ive stayed in. The manager at the hotel was an excellent manager he made everything right that went wrong. He is awesome, the staff was awesome. Everything was fresh and clean in my room and in the hotel. I had an awesome stay. Thanks Clarion Hotel
Hotel staff is VERY unprofessional and the concierge clerk working the night I stayed was VERY rude and racially profiled me and my friends for no reason. He started cursing us out from the jump and calling us out of our names. FOR NO REASON! All of this was off of assumption. He called us dirty hookers, prostitutes, strippers and drug addicts. I will be calling to file a complaint. The hotel room was not the cleanest/nicest either.
The gentleman working the desk overnight was VERY helpful and went above and beyond what would be expected......the room was clean, however the pool was in dire need of maintenance and upkeep not to mention the pool area was quite on the cool side, which was a bit of a bummer when you got out of the water and chose to honor the signs the hotel had posted of Please dry off well before leaving pool area. So of you sat there long enough to stop dripping you were shivering. The stay was decent until check out day when I checked the available balance as I needed to stop few doors down to pick up some items....which I could no longer do as someone there decided to run my card TWICE. So since this happened I get to waste site a bit of gas and run out there AGAIN to PU those items when this is corrected. I live over an hour from here and it made sense to place an order to be picked up on my check out day and save $20-$30 in fuel.....NOPE, didnt happenAnd to top it all off.....SOMEHOW someone had a key card to my room and opened the door at 0648am.....and I am THANKFUL Ihad flipped the metal door lock tab over the door catch......I heard the noise of the door slamming into that when it caught the ball at the end to prevent the door from opening.....and at this point REGRETTING I didnt think to take a pic of it....and YES this last part was added after the fact as I thought I included it in the original post....I will NEVER stay at this location or and affiliated chain as this is the second time this year I have tried to give them a chance and this chain has MORE than ruined any hope of getting any business or positive word of mouth from me....
Comfy beds. Air ice cold. Good staff but....Friday night listened to a dog barking from down the hall ALL NIGHT LONG.Saturday night. BLASTING music from Mexico with approximately 30 dancers on one side of building and 20 opposite side of building. Got up Sunday morning and beer bottles and trash all over. Room had heavy mold build up, missing outlet covers, wallpaper with gaps, bathroom ceiling bubbling the entire ceiling.
Very disappointed with the hotel and the management. The hotel looks decent from the outside and the lobby but the rooms are in terrible condition. I had issues with my stay that I brought to the management attention and were promised a call back which never happened. Called again to talk to the GM who refused to help claiming I never complained.
We booked this hotel months in advance with our baseball team for a tournament in the area. We had a group rate. Well, the group rate was way more expensive than booking it on line yourself. The hotel would not honor the on line price. The outdoor pool was out of service, no game room, no a/c in the hotel other than rooms. At night the hotel parking lot turned into party central. People hanging around their vehicles, blasting loud music, drinking alcohol. The same people coming in and out of the hotel. It didnt exactly feel safe. Breakfast was just Ok. I personally will never stay here again. I would have left however all other hotels in the area were booked. Beware!
The night time manager is uninformed of what the website says and extremely rude and condescending. As is the employee with the light up name tag. Your staff needs to communicate with each other so that you are able to inform customers of your policies. But first know what you are offering ppl. Also if youre going to put an apple in water for flavor peel it. Your wifi is a joke.Lastly, one bad apple ruins the bunch so if your staff cant handle not stealing from guests dont go in the room . My husbands hat was stolen but he had such a horrible time with the night manager he didnt even want to complain. What a shame
Pretty good, especially for the price. Plenty of options for food a 5 minute walk away. TRUCKERS NOTE: They allow 18 wheeler parking, but its limited since they dont have dedicated truck spaces. If you bring a full size truck and 53 foot trailer, call and tell them youre bringing an 18 wheeler when you book your room, otherwise you might not be able to park it.
The room was cozy, the breakfast was decent, and there are enough local chains around to satisfy basic needs. My main drawback was that since we booked with a group, we were told a certain price. My fiance called many times (spent a lot in long distance as we are from Canada) with no answers, and finally got it sorted out when we got there. Not a huge deal, but enough that it concerned me.
My experience there was dreadful, therefore I refuse to rate the service, but Im being forced to by Google so 1 star is 3 more stars I wld rate this hotel. I suggest no one use this hotel. While in town on business, I had over $1000 worth of jewelry stolen from my room, out of my personal belongings. I left my room by 7 every morning and was back by 5 every night, Im sure maid service responsible. I didnt realize it was missing till I was home unpacking. To stay in a hotel where staff digs through guests personal belongings wasnt on my checklist when choosing one, with that said, I suggest no one use this hotel. The clarion on hauck rd in Cincinnati. Im going to try and retrieve my belongings the civil way before i lawyer up, but I hope my situation warns others before it can happen to them, but someone is going to b held responsible for this. My stolen, sentimental, personal belongings were stolen from my private belongings!!! Crazy, just avoid urself the headache, avoid this hotel.
This is one of the nicest hotels Ive stayed in this year, friendly, quiet, nice rooms. The restaurant downstairs is good too. Very convient and close to everything... I would like to Thank Saurabh, Kennedy, Anthony(Front Desk). Ms Patty Cox(Hopitality Services) Linda(Housekeeping)for making me feel welcomed on my stay at Clarion-North Hotel. These particular staff members should be recognized for their respect, kindness, and hospitality in their work environment. You guys rock! Thanks again! You helped my stay at Clarion-North Cincinnati -North very pleasant and comfortable.
DO NOT STAY HERE! I signed a contract for a block of rooms 2 months head of time for my 11U baseball team, the team made all the reservations with confirmation numbers and they overbooked us out of the hotel. No call, just showed up and they told us. This was the night before the weekend tournament. We had travel 300 miles and we had to scramble to find rooms. Way to ruin the boys weekend Clarion!DO NOT STAY AT THIS UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT!
Cracked window, leaking air conditioner causing the carpet to be set and smelly, unfriendly staff, and gnats in the room. The beds were stiff and the lights also flickered. This is my second had experience with a Choice brand hotel and infill be avoiding them in the future at all costs.
If I could give less stars I would. First, I work nights trying to sleep during the day is like trying to sleep on O’Hare airport runway. The maintenance crew drilled loudly daily at around 11 am annoying. Then, some reason my lights went out called maintenance to fix it and was accused of smoking in the room when I don’t smoke. That took like 45mins of my sleep time. Also, lastly there is never enough parking at night. Parking lot not small but they have plenty 18 wheelers taking up the majority of it. All around sucky stay.
Just spent a week at the Clarion in Cincinnati. They were under renovation but the staff was extremely helpful. I was there as part of STARDAYS the annual convention of STAR Touring and Riding. Most of us ate at Over Under at least once a day. Our normal waitress Heather was great always had a smile and could remember what we wanted to drink when we walked in. Giving it 5 stars even with them being under renovation everything was in order. The elevators were slow but working.
.started my stay with a misunderstanding regarding billing and became very frustrated. However the guy on second shift made everything right and ended up being one of the NICEST people Ive ever met. I had a very bad day and he just completely turned it around on new years eve of all nights. Thanks man!!!
Zero star got stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes push the call button in the elevator multiple times and was hitting all the buttons for each floor finally the door open to a floor when I got downstairs the front desk guy goes oh youre the one calling not one time he answered the calls acted like it was no big deal that I was stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes not moving could have got a better room at the motel 6 and this hundred dollar room never again

2021-08-10This hotel is a joke. We had been to Kings Island most of the day and were ready to rest, but it took us over 15 minutes to check in when no one was in front of us. We were told there would be cereal, milk, juice, coffee, etc for breakfast, not even close. The coffee was burnt, no coffee cups only plastic clear cups. Individually wrapped donuts which they had wrapped themselves. It stated on the website there would be hot breakfast, nope. Bread for making toast yet we didnt see a toaster. No milk or juice at all. My daughter and nieces room AC didnt work, just blew out warm air. Our room was ok other than the bathroom wasnt cleaned good because there was hair on the floor, in the tub and sink that wasnt ours. Both indoor and outdoor pools were closed/drained. The staff was rude other than the overnight guy in the Alien shirt. This was our first time staying at a Clarion hotel and we wont make that mistake again. Oh, my husband and mines room had a bright light shining in all night and we couldnt close the curtains because there was only sheers up.

2021-06-07Very friendly and welcoming staff!First time here but was treated like an old friend. Room was spacious and VERY CLEAN. Bed was very nice and comfortable, I slept GREAT. Well furnished, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Furnishings a little dated but very clean and everything worked. Look forward to staying here again.

2021-07-26Pools are not open in need of some major repairs. The lobby was really nice but rooms are old fashioned. This hotel will not pass a safety inspection. Electrical wiring coming out of the walls. Hotel smelled like sewage. I wouldn’t let my gold fish sleep here.

2021-10-26Getting run down. The restaurant and bar not reopening, top floors not open. Getting ready to close down, to be a assisted living home. Changed my room bedding was not cleaned no room. Good while it lasted.

2021-07-09Horrible experience! All you get is a bed and tv here. No breakfast, no bar, no restaurant, man in the middle hacker attacks all over their wifi. Plus people hang outside of the door smoking all day long. Looks like the crypts took up residence by the front door. This place even advertised 2 pool and both were empty. I never even seen a weight room as advertised either. If you expect anything but a bed to sleep in then your at the wrong hotel. Theirs even signs on the door saying not to leave anything valuable in the room because it may get stolen while your not around. Just a ghetto hotel that deceives people into staying by offering false amenities they dont really provide.

2021-06-13JUST SAY NO. Whatever the advertised price, its too high for this place. Classic bait and switch: two pools- no water in either - and a few little conference rooms - all closed - make you think youre getting a good deal. Then you walk in. The hotels.com entry shows a breakfast buffet, but the complimentary breakfast is a brown paper bag handed out at the front desk. Fixtures in the rooms are a death trap: I fell out of the tub using the rail in the shower to support myself as I scrubbed my feet; as it turns out, attaching the bar to the wall is too much to ask for. The king room comes with a single wash cloth and the gentleman at the front was too bust to hand out another. Cicadas inside the building, sheets with stains all over them, and aggressively loud neighbors completed the package.

2021-08-22My girlfriend and I made a the cosmic mistake of staying at the Clarion Hotel in Cincinnati for one night. When we arrived we were treated with no smoking and mask required signs littered over the exterior of the building accompanied by droves of patrons smoking and congregating without masks. Inside we saw no difference, not a mask in sight. When we got to our room, we were immediately digusted by the sheer condition of it. All of the wall decorations and lamp shades were crooked beyond logical explanation, like to the point where they would have had to purposefully been turned to be wildly out of place. But whatever right just decorations.Well, due to the lack of covid precautions this place clearly doesnt care to follow through on and seeing a conspicuous white crusty set of droplets on the desk we opted on cleaning the room ourselves to which we were appalled, the room has seemingly not been cleaned for an extenuating period of time, one wipe on the desk table turned the entire wipe black and brown. Our stay at the Clarion Hotel was nothing but an perpetuating series of feeling unsafe, dirty, and violently digusted. At many points we considered either paying for another hotel or just sleeping in our car but we were just too tired. I could not recommend this place any less.Edit: forgot to mention the occasion wiff of unhealthy urine permeating throughout our floor.

2021-08-06Room was disgusting. Leaking air conditioner in the room left half the carpet soaked and was mildewed. Didnt have vacancy so we were stuck. Upon checkout I showed the room to the desk attendant and was told we would receive a refund. That has not happened thus far. I keep calling but theres no answer.

2021-09-05We are elite diamond members with our hotel stays. If it wasnt so late at check in and had we not been exhausted I would of left. These pictures were taken the next morning when we got up. The man at the desk told us they had nothing else because they were remodeling floors 4-12??? Uh who does that? No thank you good bye
