Clarion Hotel Beachwood-Cleveland in Beachwood
The room was very small. No mattress covers on bed and linen appeared worn and had stains on them . Dresser was busted at the corners and room door looked as if it had been there since the beginning of time , paint chipped and discolored. The was mold in the tub/shower.The manager was very rude and didn’t care about any of my concerns her only concern was the money
Upon arrival, we were taken care of by a pleasant and courteous gentleman. He was helpful and informative. The room was clean and comfortable. Upon leaving the next morning, it had snowed, and the desk clerk let us use a short, handled broom to clean the snow off of our car. It was very much appreciated.
Positive: The location to the event area forme. Negative: The breakfast was advertised as hot breakfast. It was a Jimmy Dean¿s egg and cheese muffin that I had to microwave. The other items were a kids size fruit cup and single serve yogurt. It was very disappointing.
I reserved a room for 3 nights because my mom is in ICU at University Hospital and I drove 8 hrs to be told that I could not see her. Because of this, I did not use the room at all. When I called to convey this to the hotel in hopes of reaching a fair and mutual agreement regarding charges, I was told a supervisor would call me ~ I’ve heard nothing and was charged the full 3 days. I was not expecting to not have to pay something ~ however I felt they could have lessened the charge seeing that I did not use the room period. So much for kindness and understanding for extenuating circumstances.
Overall price and attempted value was there but the cleaning staff is bad at prepping rooms, laundry, and garbage in rooms. When I entered my room, there was cleaning products on the table, left food on the bed, garbage were full from previous nights, and no towels in bathroom. Once these were remedied, the stay was good.
SECOND SHIFT STAFF WAS RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY!!! Wouldnt help with any of our needs or concerns. My husband and I stayed here the night before I had surgery because it was close to the hospital. The upside was the 3rd shift staff and the first shift staff was amazing and super friendly. I would have given a 4 star rating had it not been for the second shift staff.
These days hotels are pretty standard. this one isnt bad. beds were 5 star room had good bathroom and cooling was very good and quiet. Id have to say 3 stars but Ill go 4...... absence of fridge and microwave. the breakfast was not what they show on the site. just observations not terribly important. price point was not budget, not too high
I am a wheelchair user and booked an accessible room with a king-sized bed. When I checked in and asked to verify that it was so, the woman replied “We dont have accessible kings here. We only have accessible queens.” “Why was I allowed to choose that when I made my reservation?” She looks down briefly and says “Oh, I didnt notice that your reservation says KA (or similar two-letter abbreviation). It’s an accessible room.” I replied, “But, I thought you said that you dont have accessible King rooms.” And she said, “I didnt notice that yours is.” I was in my power wheelchair which is notated on the reservation that I need space for in the room. I was checking in after a procedure at the hospital and needed to lay down and didnt have the energy to question it anymore.Riding through the halls and up the elevator to get to the room it is obvious that this place is in need of serious updating. The carpets are a mess all over the public areas. They are beyond salvageable with steam cleaning at this point and need to be replaced. When I opened the door to my room, it was immediately obvious that it was not accessible. The entry space and space around the bed are barely enough to navigate my chair. The bathroom is so small that the door opens right to the toilet with no space for me turn. The door and toilet block the tub. There are no safety rails anywhere and the tub, sink, and toilet are standard height. The bathroom is in disrepair and doesnt have a fan. The bed was so wrinkled it looked like the sheets were from the previous guests, but they did otherwise appear and smell clean. There was damage in several places like the pictured crushed lampshade and stained rug.All of that being said, the location is safe with plenty nearby, the bed is comfortable, and parking is free.
This hotel was clean, quiet, affordable, and had excellent service. The staff was very thoughtful and went out of their way for me and my cousin who were in town for a funeral. The prices for hotels in this area are higher, but that isnt the hotels fault. I felt that I got what I paid for and the breakfast was good.
Positive: White sheets. Appeared clean. Comfortable bed. No bed bugs. Good nights sleep. Negative: Rooms do not have a fridge for storing your drinks or microwave. Breakfast was just ¿okay¿. Not a hot breakfast like they say. A continental would have been better than this bag option.
We stayed 6 days and it was for the most part a good stay. Front desk staff was great but due to lack of staffing due to demand for rooms they are not cleaning rooms daily. If you dont request they dont come found that out later, I thought they would automatically put you on list based off of the number of days we were there. They also had hot water problems but overall it was a clean hotel and the front desk staff made up for the other issues.
We arrived at the same time as about 10 other guests so there was a line to check in. The friendly staff person seemed a bit overwhelmed but did a fantastic job getting us all checked in and taken care of with friendly service and efficiency. Room was very clean, location was nice, and price was right. Would stay here again.
Positive: The room was clean Negative: This is not a three star hotel by any means. The main guest rooms are clean and newer but the bathrooms are dated. The breakfast consists of a to-go bag with one microwaved sandwich and a small fruit cup in juice. There is no pool or hot tub.
Positive: quiet Negative: The hotel was very under staffed. There was only one person working the front desk while the phone was ringing off the hook. The ladys name was Doris and she was very professional and nice. She apologized for the long wait. I waited about 40 minutes.
Positive: There was a battered-looking-but-clean fridge to keep my drinks for the next day cool? Negative: This was allegedly a 3* hotel. Instead it smelled like cigarettes, there was trash on the floor, the towels and sheets had old stains, and Im pretty sure the pillows were throw pillows with reg. pillow cases tucked around them. Bathroom faucet was loose.
Where to begin...the rooms were not ready. Other guests were also waiting for their rooms to be ready. The lady at the front desk said that the cleaning crew was not marking the rooms off the electronic checklist as being clean so she didnt know if they were ready. She said that she went and checked then gave us our key. They room was not ready. The covers were piled on a chair in the corner and the previous guests junk was laying around the room. We were given another room. The carpets are filthy everywhere and in bad need of replacement. The bathtub was dirty. This room was $126 for a $50 room. Go somewhere else.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious enough and most importantly the walls were thick that I didnt hear the neighbors. The morning staff were hospitable; however, the night staff were rude to an extent. None the less, I would be back.
Clean, quiet. We booked an accessible room, but that seem to mean only extra grab bars in the bathroom and a visual doorbell to accommodate hearing impaired guests. We had hoped for a walk-in shower. Bed was perfectly comfortable; that’s about all we used. But it’s quite convenient for Cleveland Clinic visitors coming from the East.
Came to town to visit new in-laws who live nearby. Photos seemed to show better rooms. Bathroom shower had pathetic water pressure and the shower head leaked more water out the side than came out the front. Toilet paper roll holder was found to be broken. Rooms seemed clean. No hot breakfast as advertised. Was told when booking that bagged breakfasts were available. Are not actually offered. Didnt use the TV or the WiFi. Didnt order anything. Nothing was taken from the room. Originally booked the room for 88 dollars final price as shown on the checkout invoice. Found out 2 days later that I was charged 138 dollars with no explanation given. No email, and no call. For that kind of money I could have reserved a much nicer room at a more conveniently located hotel. Would not recommend and will not return.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! First we checked in on Tuesday and left early Sunday. As of Friday night my room was not cleaned, no trash taken out of my room and no clean linen. Second, the carpet in the elevator smelled like dog poop for 3 days until they replace the carpet on Friday. Last, the room at times had the worse odor and you had to keep the a/c on low so you didnt smell the odor. I know that is in Beachwood and we are coming out of the pandemic but this was unacceptable. The pictures are from Friday night after being there 4 days.
Affordable, clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff and good location. The complimentary breakfast was better than average and the shower and bed was great. No bugs or rodents. Modern (not dated) and quaint. Complimentary newspaper and a courtyard. Pet friendly. The only thing that would have made my stay better is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Its a 5 star hotel when you consider the price, but dont expect anything extravagant. Definitely suitable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a room who is looking for quiet comfort, yet affordable.
Area is nice and the staff here if friendly however, I overpaid for my room and the hotel isn’t even that nice. For a 3 star hotel this is definitely a subpar hotel. Breakfast, what breakfast? Went down 2 days in a row all the tables filled and no food left, which I don’t get because they know how guests they have here so they can’t provide enough breakfast food? I stayed here 2 nights and I went out for a little bit and came back to the hotel and realize my room key had been shut off, like they knew I was staying here for 2 nights so why shut it off after the first night? I understand they want to shut off room keys of people who checked out already but I was not checked out and still had my key shut off so I had to go back to the front desk for them to turn my key back on. The rooms here were very basic, similar to what you’d find at a 2 star hotel. Needless to say after this experience, I will not be staying here again whenever I’m in Beachwood again…
Positive: Convenience of location of my vacation trip Negative: The staff when I arrived. Customer service was not good. I stood there why 3 employees talked about something for about 5 mins without any courtesy to say well be right with you. Then the one that helped me rolled her eyes at the other two.Unprofessional
Hotel is near my in-laws and was cost competitive. Should have paid more and driven further... Room was not like photos.Shower was very sad. More of a dribble than a shower. And as much water leaked out of the shower head joint as came out of the head. Dont know why I bothered trying to take a shower. Unlikely to come back. Was vetoed by the wife.
I stayed at the Clarion for 2 nights while I underwent and recovered from a medical procedure. The staff was great. The room was clean in every way possible. The beds were very comfortable. The temp control in the room was on point which is important to me. We never experienced any issues with noise.Breakfast was free and extensive which was surprising! I was able to make my own waffle while everything from sausage and scrambled eggs to hard boiled eggs and bagels, cereals and yogurts and muffins.... I dont know what much else you could expect from a complimentary breakfast.About the only think I can complain about is the lack of selection of TV channels but thats not enough of a deal for me to drop a star on this rating. We will definitely stay here again if we need to stay in the area. Thanks Clarion!
All in all, I had a great experience at this hotel. Great property, great amenities, very courteous & professional front desk staff. The complimentary hot breakfasts were delicious. The last bit of my stay was a slight buzzkill. The housekeeping staff between 9-10 oclock kept asking me when Id be checking out. Checkout was noon. I found this tacky & unprofessional. Otherwise, a great stay
The people were very nice at the front desk. The breakfast was good and the host lady very nice. Location is ok. Shuttle service only one way not great. The room is bare bones but ok. It would be great if they had a little refrigerator. Price was good. But lack of refrigerator is likely why I will not stay again.
This hotel has great staff. Very friendly, helpful. Breakfast here is great too! Good variety of food. Friendly cook/hostess. However, the place needs some deep cleaning and remodeling. Carpet in the hallway is dingy; carpet in elevator was dirty. Our shower curtain had mold on the bottom. Bed was way too high off the ground. I am a tall person and had difficulty getting in the bed! I expected more for the price we paid.
The hotel staff was great. They checked me in promptly and addressed my every need. However the building itself was dated and the carpet in the room as well as the hallway had that funky “old-smoke and dampness” smell. The bathroom in our room was not clean and had pubic hairs on the floor, on the toilet, and in the shower. The shower itself would not drain and backed up to the point where dirty water was coming back up through the drain. I did call the front desk and maintenance came right up and fixed it so that was good. He even cleaned the entire shower which I appreciated. The tv was temperamental and worked off and on with the remote which was frustrating. Overall it was a good experience with the people but a bad one with the room. I don’t think I’ll be going back.
We had a huge group of teenagers during our stay. The staff was accommodating and friendly throughout our time there, even arranging rooms differently when necessary. We had plenty of delicious breakfast options, and they helped facilitate our making of sack lunches. We cannot say enough about our experience. We would absolutely recommend the Clarion and their gracious staff!
Rooms are very clean. You can feel that people take time to clean the rooms. Location is nice for me, that was the number one reason. I had a bit problem with parking as one of the evenings the lot was completely full. The stake house near by is local favorite though very expensive. Apparently there is another lot on the side which was almost empty. Staff is grinding and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, a bit cold. Pork was the only protein for my four day stay. I would come back, may though try breakfast somewhere else.
I stayed at this hotel after going to the Beachwood Shopping Mall. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was in a good location, being right next to Interstate 271, which takes you to I-90 and I-71. The lobby was good, but the hallway ceilings were a bit to short for my liking.
This was my first time staying at a Clarion and I was not disappointed! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but it was usable. I really enjoyed the fact that the room had a mini-fridge. We have a few diet restrictions so that was nice to have. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it high the spot! And it was better then trying to find breakfast or getting fast food! The staff was very friendly as well!
While room quality and cleanliness top my priority list, customer service is typically an added bonus. And what a bonus at this particular hotel. The staff make this hotel!!!Very professional, friendly, and helpful. Make you feel like a part of the family coming home for a visit.
Rooms had been upgraded except for carpet, which was a bit damp feeling due to humidity. The room was comfortable and clean. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful for either shift. The breakfast area could use some work, the person did not exchange the empty coffee urn until asked, plus the tables were not wiped down or items like plates and napkins and coffee cups kept filled.
We needed a place to stay for one night on our way to Texas. We were not impressed when we pulled up and were even more disappointed once we reached our room. We had traveled for 8 hours with a four month old and the last thing we wanted was to walk into a dingy room which is exactly what happened. Our room felt dirty, grungy, and clearly in need of repair. Breakfast was put out late the next morning and we needed to be out early. We choose this hotel because of the fact that they offer breakfast. The selection was extremely limited and they ran out of coffee. There were no employees for 10-15 minutes to take care of this as well as the trash was overflowing. We couldnt wait to get out of there. We stayed at a different hotel chain in Nashville the following night and it was a world of difference! The staff was readily available and welcoming, the breakfast selection was impeccable and plentiful, the room was super clean, inviting and up-to-date. AND it was cheaper then the Clarion!
We needed a last minute room and were very pleased with our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast had many options, though the eggs and potatoes werent great. Fresh waffle maker saved the day though. We would use this hotel again. **Editing to include that about 12 hours after we left my spouse has come down with what seems to be awful food poisoning....the only thing that they ate the rest of us didnt were those eggs at the breakfast buffet... so probably wont be using this location again.
I definitely felt the hotel was nice for the price and clean. The beds were awesome. The staff was not over-the-top helpful, but they were kind and polite and helped us with all of our requests. For the rate, it would be nice if there were mini fridges in the rooms and some fresh fruit items for the breakfast. I was satisfied and will most likely stay here in the future.
Despite booking over the phone with the hotel a month In advance, the Clarion Beechwood was unable to give us the rooms that fit our needs (king and queen adjoining) that were requested, and we were unable to get refrigerators or a crib, both of which were also requested. However, the friendly staff were able to give us other queen adjoining rooms after we waited with two infants and all our luggage in the lobby for 15-20 minutes. The breakfast Sunday morning was better than expected. Overall, the hotel needed some updating, but the rooms were comfortable and our stay was pleasant.
Scammers Beware. When I got there the photos did not match the room and the smell of the room was like warm and musty. I was in the room less than 5 minutes yet it took almost 2 hours for the lady at the front desk Pamala to cancel my reservations. I was assured that I would be fully refunded since I had not done more than check the room out. When I checked my account the next day only $160.45 had been returned. I called again and was reassured that they had refunded me $250 the deposit would be back in my account in a few days. There was no charge, or refund of $250. I tried to call again but they are not answering the phone. May have my number on a no answer list..
We stayed here a night while heading to Tx. We were happy with the stay. The staff was real nice. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. A variety of food like breads, fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, & meat. We would stay here again. We only had a problem with the tub draining water. I was ankle deep in water within minutes of being in the shower.
This is an average hotel. Nothing fancy. The rooms were slightly dated and the sink was cracked (though completely usable). It was decent and clean, but nothing special. Not for someone who is picky, but the location suited us and it worked out well. On the positive side, the breakfast was really good.
I must qualify myself and say that I stay in LOTS of hotels for work... over 1200 nights in the last 6 years... so I am picky about where I stay. This is a very nice, clean hotel, conveniently located near freeways. There are some nice restaurants nearby and Downtown is only 20 minutes away. The room was adequate and clean, although there was some large spots on the wall that either the paint was worn off or they were in the process of priming to paint, I could not tell which. The biggest problem I observed was with the young staff. The girl at check in told not only us, but the couple checking in before us the wrong times for the breakfast, causing us to miss it completely. When I mentioned this to the young man working the front desk in the morning, he didnt seem too overly concerned about it. We also noticed a lot of these young employees, especially at the front desk, who seemed more concerned with their Facetainstasnapping on their phones, or socializing with each other than they were about being attentive to the guests. There are MANY hotel options in this immediate area, and if given the choice between true hospitality and just being rented a room by people who dont seem to care, I think many travelers would opt for service. With some training and disciple for the staff, this could be a memorable hotel experience.
Travelled for first time to Cleveland area in order to visit Case Western Reserve University (which is about 20 minutes away) with my daughter. Hotel was a little hard to find on the night of our arrival because their signage is somewhat small, and the building is set back from the main entrance road. Pluses include: decent complimentary hot breakfast; free wireless internet that worked well; clean and comfortable beds; convenient location; and quiet rooms. Minuses include: slow bathtub drain that left me standing in several inches of water while taking a shower; very limited selection of channels on television (might have been a problem with just the television in my room because the program guide indicated that many channels were available); and carpeting in room that was clean, but also looked like its probably due for replacement. Overall, it was fine for our 2-night stay, and seemed to be a good value for the area.
The hotel has been updated and is comfortable with all the amenities business and personal travelers appreciate. You will be comfortable and well care for by the staff at this Clarion Hotel. The breakfast offering is ample and fresh. The coffee I enjoyed was the dark roast, fresh and hot. The food was appetizing and well presented with a wide selection from which to choose.
Had to put up at this place for a personal work in town. The place is not the best but quite up to the mark. The room was clean and had all the necessities.Well situated, good accessibility as it is not situated in a tall building, rather just couple of floors.Andrea and other staff were quite helpful. The best part: complimentary breakfast and very fast wifi.
I must say that my family and I had a very satisfying, safe, comfortable and pleasant stay at the Clarion in Beachwood, Ohio. We were very pleased with the professionalism of the staff, especially front desk. The chefs for the satisfying breakfasts to get our day started and the hospitality of the environmentalist throughout our stay. The rooms provided us with a feel of home. They were extremely tidy and we slept very well in the comfortable beds. I highly recommend this hotel to others who are traveling and seeking comfort! Keep up the good work. Continue to be a model for others to follow.
The Clarion at Beachwood Ohio used to be a nice hotel but it is going down hill. It is starting to look old and dirty. The staff was excellent and professional and the breakfast was great. The breakfast area was very good. However my room was filthy. All the surfaces were sticky. The carpet looked dirty. Even the plastic on the cups was sticky. They did not service my room between my days or even ask me if I needed anything.
Have stayed at this hotel several times. Clean, comfortable rooms, nice staff, great breakfast! Admire the cooks trying to keep up with the crowd going through the food like locusts - Bravo! Whomever cleaned our room Sunday May 29 did an outstanding job! Did think the front desk could have been covered a bit better - no one around initially upon arrival and also departure...busy times should perhaps have 2 persons on hand???
Hotel staff was very friendly & accommodating. Our reservations were already booked prior to us arriving. An additional family member was with us that did not have reservation. We drove from Birmingham Al to Cleveland to attend a funeral. We arrived earlier than planned. The hotel staff & supervisors were very attentive & accommodating as we requested an early check in. Additionally was able to get another room available for our family member. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was hot and stayed full. Beautiful facility, we will stay here again the next time we are in Cleveland.
The hotel needs a good scrubbing. The front desk are nice, but not always at the desk. The housekeeping staff are loud and clearly missing some areas like mold in the bathroom, dirty carpeting and air vents. The breakfast area is small and runs out of warm foods frequently.
Clarion was a great choice for me and my son when we were driving from PA to Michigan through Ohio. We arrived very late, about 2 a.m. The lady at the front desk, Christina, was extremely compassionate and seeing how tired we were, allowed us to pay in the morning. She offered us two hotel carts to help us to move all our music instruments into the room ( we did not want to leave them in the car overnight ). We felt cared for and it made our stay especially pleasant. The room was very clean and cozy, and the free breakfast was of a good quality. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Staff was businesslike and efficient. Free breakfast had a few extra choices over most like real oatmeal not instant, and both bacon and sausage. Room was large and spacious. Ive state here before, and it has been consistent.
Staff was very friendly and room and bathroom was very clean. Beds were comfy, but since Im short I had a hard time getting up in them. Beds are very high, but very comfortable. Bathroom shower could have used grab bars though. Had a hard time getting the handle to turn on the water. I think it may have been recently replacedand just needed to get a little looser. Breakfast was only supposed to be until 9:00 but I was running late and attendant kept it completely open until I got down there. Food was good and a good selection as well. Attendant was extremely pleasant. Nice place to stay.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very clean, room was nice, and friendly staff. Not to mention, it was inexpensive. Good location, has stuff around it including a gas station connected to its parking lot. Obviously not the best views from the windows, unless you really like gas stations or sides of buildings. But Im not one to judge on the look from a room, I dont sit staring out of the window. Overall nice place.
Clean, comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was good/average. The only problem was a charge on my bill for using the safe. However, the charge was removed when I brought it to the attention of the employee at checkout. I have encountered this before at Choice Hotels and have been told the safe charge automatically is billed to customers. This doesnt seem like good customer service. However, everything else about the visit was nice.
Overall the Clarion Hotel was very accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The Internet service was good. Your housekeeping supervisor can use some customer service training. I travel for business and pleasure many times during the course of the year. It has been my experience that housekeeping check back to insure the room service is being provided. All patrons dont leave the room by 9 or 10 am and will remove the do not disturb sign when they depart for the day. I did not know a patron had to leave the room to accommodate housekeeping.
I stayed 4 nights at the Clarion Beachwood. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, the AC worked well and the room had a working refrigerator. Wish it had a comfortable chair in the corner for reading. The breakfast was fine: scrambled eggs and bacon and some form of potatoes each day, as well as pancakes or waffles. Would have like more fresh fruit.Front desk folks varied from warm and friendly with big smiles, to sullen and business-like. Location right off the interstate and close to good dining. Would stay here again, good value.
Pretty good view overall. The bathroom could use some cleaning or upgrade to at least make it looks like its cleaner. The rest of the room was great overall; AC was quiet; internet was good, sheets look clean; bed and pillows were super comfortable; big TV (in hotel standards); front desk held some Amazon packages for me which was nice. Pretty good value in my opinion.PS. If you are coming back from downtown, Garmin GPS doesnt point you correctly to the hotel entrance, which leads you to the ramp back to the highway.
Not happy. Room small people rude. Have whole attuide. If you ask for something. If I spent this money on rooms I expect. Something good. Or better but not this place. The housekeeping was a joy very friendly and. Respectful, but couldnt get a bigger. Room. But I seen the room my kids stayed in you could get a third bed in there. Was disappointed my card. Was. Trying to get charged for incidentals so the. Lady said. 3 times. The the next day. 3 times. Wth. I dint understand wont stay at this hotel again. And the rooms advertised in the photos are not the rooms. You get. Thats false.
The hotel looks good from outside. the first two nights we stayed in a room that was nice and clean but on the third night our departure was delayed and we checked back in to hotel. The room showed signs of careless housekeeping. Overall breakfast left a lot to be desired with one two toast toaster for am crowd and cold coffee and cold eggs even the ham was as cold as when taken out of refrigerator to be heated up. Beds were comfortable for one of us not the other and staff were helpful and friendly.
The location of the hotel, just minutes off the freeway made finding the hotel great. There were some issues with my original room, which were addressed by the front desk immediately. Rather than make me wait while maintenance addressed a plumbing and housekeeping issue, the upgraded my room within 10min. The bed was extremely comfortable and even though the location is close to the freeway I couldnt hear it! The complimentary breakfast was good and always replenished. I will come back here. The rooms and atmosphere were better than two of the higher priced hotels down the road that Ive stayed in before!
I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year. Both times the staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are kept clean and the furniture is comfortable. The matresses are NOT worn out like at other hotels I have stayed at.The bathrooms are a little small but then again I dont spend a lot of time in there anyway.
This really far surpassed any expectations for a hotel in Cleveland as it was 8 miles from the college we were visiting, and was extremely comfortable and inviting. The room itself was lovely, and quiet. We were able to order dinner through a local restaurant and they delivered, which made things even easier for us. The following morning we were surprised by the delicious breakfast with multiple hot choices, including the apple stuffed pancakes!!! The staff were top notch.
Our room air conditioner barely worked. On a very hot day it spewed out damp cool-ish air, leaving the room feeling like a wet bathroom. The carpeting was filthy and felt like a wet sponge walking on it -ugh! The bathroom hot water faucet was broken. I shouldnt have to complain about these things to get them fixed. They should have been properly maintained. The staff was helpful, after making a mistake on my check-out. The breakfast was well stocked. I was not very comfortable staying here. It is unlikely I will return on my next visit to the area.
This hotel was good. The receptionist (female) that worked our weekend here was FANTASTIC! She didnt hesitate to help us or answer our questions. The only issue I had here was that housekeeping didnt clean our room none of the days we stayed, even after I asked one of them specifically to clean it.
No complaints about the hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. There was a minor issue with a couple of lights being blown out in the bathroom, but the maintenance man replaced them and also tightened the loose faucet.Everyone, from the front desk personnel, to the maintenance man, to the kitchen staff was extremely pleasant, patient (we arrived just as they should have been shutting breakfast down and, not only was there was no grumbling or complaining, the young man made sure the syrup and coffee were replenished, brought out more utensils and was very friendly) and helpful. Everyone deserves high marks!
Very nice experience with this hotel staying there while visiting my new granddaughter in nearby Shaker Heights. It was easily accessible from the highway and had plenty of free parking. The free breakfast in the lobby was very nice with both hot and cold choices. There is an adjacent restaurant open for dinner and a convenient pick up dinner food service as well. Our check in service was outstanding and the gracious young woman at the desk found a freshly cleaned room for us even though we arrived hours before official check in time. This was even though it was an extremely busy time with the NBA finals game in town that night. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to the area. Rooms are basic decor but clean and quiet. This is a very convenient hotel for the suburbs of Cleveland.
Enjoyed stay at hotel, which is centrally located right off Interstate 271 in Beachwood, Ohio. Staff was very friendly and responsive to requests. Breakfast was great with wide range of offerings from waffles and bacon to grits and oatmeal and pastry assortment. Rooms were clean and comfy. Great value for the price.
Great place for a one night stopover. Accommodating staff, clean and comfortable room, and a delicious, fresh breakfast. The breakfast attendant kept items well stocked and hot, and kept the area clean. Plenty of room in the lobby area to sit and enjoy the morning meal. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and will definitely stay again.
I found the hotel reasonably priced. The halls was were dimly lighted, which gave me a creepy first impression! I found the room clean; concerned about finding articles of clothing in my room that were left by a previous guest! Overall, it served the purpose of providing a place to spend the night, reasonably priced, clean, and close to the Community College where my meeting was held.
I had a wonder experience with this hotel! From booking to checking out . It was affordable and was nice and clean, even the vents where dust free! The front desk was friendly and gave us extra toiletries and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and the lady cooking was friendly too! All and all it was a good time. Will stay again and would recommend.
Lets start with the outside, I arrived at Clarion and the outside appearance was very inviting. I felt comfortable immediately. I went inside and felt even more at home. The staff manager was leaving and evening person was starting her shift. She was so nice and inviting, also was the manager who was leaving. I dont actually know if she was the manager or not; but she looked like a person who is in charge. I was quickly, politely taken care of, received my room keys. I went up to the room and I felt even more at home. I slept so comfortably when I Woke up I actually forgot that I was on the road. I wished I could have stayed in bed a while longer. The workout room looked in good shape even though I did not get a chance to use it as planned.I went down for breakfast and breakfast was fantastic. I nice hot breakfast consisting of eggs and potatoes, if you wanted sausage or bacon or cereal or oatmeal you could have it. Everything was laid out nicely and the dining area was clean. You actually used real plates and utensil; which made you feel even more at home. One of the best breakfast I have had on the road in a long time and I have spent more than 20 days in a hotel this year so far. I checked out early and was not finished the project and had to stay over another night, I did not hesitate to go back to this hotel. I went back and the boss lady took care of me, got reasonable rate and even got the same room.
Hotel is clean and quiet. Nice breakfast very helpful accommodating staff. Had to extend an extra night do to husbands hospital stay being extended. After I spent entire night in CICU with husband cleaning staff offered to postpone vacuuming hall until I was able to get a couple hours sleep.
Hotel clean. Breakfast awesome. Heater worked well in room. Had coffee pot in room. Exercise area not used but with the way it was enclosed you might need a fan in there. Very nice employees. Was attached to a restaurant that was neat. Didnt know the pricing and it costs more than our room. Was the best salmon ever had though. It was very hard to find this hotel as not easy to find from road and had to drive around again. Needs better signage. We did pick up a nail in the tire which showed up when departing but was close to Firestone store to get repaired. Would be nice if had lamps beside beds that had plugs for charging phones. Both electrical outlets were used by lamps and radio so had to plugs in across room. Would be nice if tv gave information on the station your were watching to see what the movie was about. Was quiet and no noise to keep us awake. We never sleep well in hotels since mattresses so hard but at least this had a thicker mattress pad which helped.
The staff at the front desk was welcoming and extremely helpful during check-in. They were knowledgeable about the area and provided accurate and helpful directions. The room was extremely clean, modern and fresh. The only thing missing was a refrigerator. We were very happy with our choice and should we need to return to Cleveland we would stay at the Clarion Beachwood again.
We have stayed at the Clarion in Beachwood many times over the past 15 years and this visit, for the first time, I felt the facility was looking a little run down. The carpets in the hallways need cleaning.Breakfast: The breakfast did not have the variety it usually does (no hot cereal), and the scrambled eggs were dripping in fat. Also, with more of your guests being vegetarian or vegan I recommend that you do not have meat and non-meat options in the same chaffing dish, using the same ladle. There are two chaffing dishes, put both meat options in the same dish, and the non-meat options in the other chaffing dish.Plumbing: Our bath did not drain properly.
Room furniture was dated, refridgerator was old, and dryer was old. Bathroom was clean but could use a facelift, shampoo and soap was cheap quality. Recommend bring your own. Only reason I gave 3 out of 5 was that staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was ok. Stayed for 3 nights and it was pretty much same menu. Not bad for price paid, fitness room only had few equipment.
I needed this location near Chagrin Blvd. because I had a very early morning conference. I didnt want to spend a lot, and this Clarion was perfect--great location and excellent price! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, with nearly new cases and sheets! The bath was modern and clean, and I enjoyed the free breakfast! The air conditioner worked well, and was very quiet!
I stayed with my wife and adult daughter in this hotel at the beginning of May 2017 in a double-bed room with roll-in bed. The room was decent and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast almost a dream compared to what some other hotels pull. Here you get the full (breakfast-)package: Bacon, eggs & sausage, bagels, juices, hot tea, coffee, cereal. I dont remember what else. Breakfast certainly wont disappoint.
Even though we did not ask for it, we were put into a disabled-access room all the way at the very end of the hall. There was hardly anyone else staying in any of the other rooms in that hallway. We felt like we were banished to the back end of the hotel. From this, we have now learned to request a first floor room near the lobby. The carpet in the room and hallway was not clean and tacky, Our white socks became gray/black when we walked around the room. The AC cooled the humid room, never taking out any of the humidity in the room air.The ice machine sparingly gave out ice, no matter what time of the day we used it. This is worst hotel in the Choice line we have ever stayed at. Choice hotels have been our preferred choice because of the all the past great experiences we have had. This hotel needs a major makeover. The wifi was also extremely slow. We could only get 1 bar in our room and basic emails sent would error out.
My family really enjoyed the stay at Clarion. We had a slight issue with housekeeping but once I spoke with the head housekeeper everything was improved immediately. The staff was very friendly and professional. I loved the morning breakfast the cook was really nice and friendly and made sure we enjoyed everything. I would definitely come back.
A great experience. Nice room and excellent staff. The room decor was beautiful. The only negative things I have to say are:1) The breakfast items seem like that had been out for too long but were still good.2) The entrance to the hotel was not well marked so we wasted some tim driving around.
This hotel is a bit hard to find in the dark...not much for well lit signs, plus it was drizzlying which didnt help..did find it...was clean..bed was comfortable..internet service said it was not secure so didnt use it much..Staff very friendly and helpful..Checkin guy talked a little fast for this 71yr old guy, but he was very pleasant..Breakfast was delicious..bacon, eggs, american fries, waffles. very good.
The battery on the lock on my door died. I went back and forth to the front desk at least five times before someone came with me to try to open the door. Then they called in the supervisor (which took about 20 minutes). She couldn’t remedy the situation and told me that they couldn’t call the mechanic because he recently got out of the hospital. Then they called in a mechanic from a different hotel chain - that didn’t work. Finally got a mechanic from another clarion to come over. It took your Staff three hours to get my door open ( it was after midnight). I had planned on going to bed early as I had a seven hi our drive in the am.I can’t believe that the front desk isn’t trained on recharging a battery. I can’t believe that a door lock battery would go dead- aren’t they charged on a routine basis?I am horrified by the safety implications of this situation.
This is our go to hotel. staff are friendly and helpful. the free breakfast is varied (even included one day some biscuits and gravy = plenty of bacon daily) rooms clean and well maintained. the facility is easy to get to and convenient to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. easy access to highway - but we did not hear any highway noise.
Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was generally clean and neat, however there were cobwebs in the ceiling corner and the vents on the heater/AC unit were dusty. My husband has multiple medical issues and I was somewhat concerned about the vents so we didnt use the heater.
This was the better than expected experience we were waiting for. The beds were comfortable, the air, internet, and shower all worked well. The room had a clean fresh smell and the free hot breakfast was exceptional for this class of hotel. Keep up the good work Clarion.
This is not an upscale lodging. Building and rooms are in need of upgrades and/or renovation. But the price does reflect that. Positives are that it was very clean and the breakfast is better then what many of their competitors offer. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was wonderful. It was a buffet of hot foods: eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, grits and waffles. There was quite a variety of cold foods: yogurt, breads, danishes, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal and more. All the fixings you could ask for, even cups of shredded cheese and packs of brown sugar. A large variety of teas (herbal and black) and coffees. The beds are comfortable. It was clean and nice. The staff was the best yet. The area is a good area to be in. Its surrounded by other very nice hotels and inns. Large variety of restaurants around, expensive and inexpensive to fit your budget and mood. I highly recommend it, Ill gladly stay there again if I find myself in the area.
What an absolutely fabulous place! This is our second time as guests, and, quite frankly, we enjoyed our stay even more this time around. SO GRATEFUL for the kind and attentive breakfast attendant: I have food allergies, and she not only took the time to make sure I knew the ingredients of various items to avoid any problems, but she had thoughtfully prepared items that were milk and gluten free! What incredible service!! This place is squeaky clean and very comfortable, but the best part was the affordable rate. Seriously, we could not have been any more pleased!! Thank you!
Our room was very clean - looked like it had recently gone through a remodel. Our stay was very quiet - the bed was comfortable - and had plenty of room.Breakfast included bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy - everything you could ask for.We got the last king size room they had for the night, and the price was a little more than we usually like to pay, but would stay there again!!
The TV and internet worked fine. I was glad that there was a mini-fridge in the room. The heating unit in the window was fairly quite and worked well. The bathroom, however, was a problem. Sink and toilet were clean and towels were thick and absorbent. But the tub was dirty--hairs all over the bottom--and the plastic covering over the shower knob was broken half-off. If the bathroom was cleaned prior to our stay, those items should have been quite evident to the housekeeping staff. We did not notice the problems until the morning prior to our departure because the shower curtain was drawn until we used the tub in the morning.
Others guests rated the hotel pretty high. We felt otherwise. Our mornings were noisy with doors slamming. One of the drinking glasses was extremely dirty. How could that get past housekeeping? Wifi was out one evening. The rooftop view was unappealing. We kept the drapes closed. We probably wont return to this hotel.
Hotel is clean, comfortable, and for the price very impressive. The beds are very comfortable along with the pillows. The rooms are quite for being right off a major freeway. The breakfast served daily is just an added bonus. I travel for business and the wifi is always fast! Overall this facility rates great for the cost.
I had stayed at hotel before, when it was located in the back portion of the property, and it was good then. Now since it has relocated to the newly renovated front portion of the property it is even better. The lobby, breakfast area, and room furnishings / bedding are all new and very nice. The attached restaurant serves very high quality items - just wish the hotel could provide its guests with discounted pricing on the meals at the restaurant. Snacks, free breakfast, and room service are available in the hotel.
Rate hotel poorly. Carpet damp in room. Tub did not drain. Mold around tub. Hotel needs upgrades. Must have been problem as a floor drying fan was out in hallways a door down. Will not stay at another clarion hotel, especially this one when I visit family. They need someone to inspect cleanliness of rooms regularly. Also, tolerance seat loose.
My wife and I have stayed at this property several times. It has always been a pleasant experience. Not this time. Smokers in a nearby room stank up the entire wing of the hotel. Breakfast was not as good as in the past. Wallpaper peeling. Computer in business center had outdated browsers, and could I not do some of the work I needed.
The mattress is alright but the pillows felt like uncomfortable. The breakfast was full but everything was cold and didnt taste right. Our room was never cleaned and we had to ask for more clean towels. Parking can be horrible at times because the small parking lot is shared by a very expensive restaurant. But if you love Wendys then thats good. 22 within 11 miles
The hotel was clean and room condition was satisfactory. However, customer service is lacking with few of staff members; male attendant at the breakfast dining room is extremely rude! Breakfast is the same every day and not appetizing! Bed is only made daily; if you a leave a tip. I guess you get what you paid for...cheap price with poor customer service.
Good breakfast.thats about it. Rooms are decent. Housekeeping was horrendous.of the four nights stayed, one day no hee towels and none available at the front desk .another day she skipped over one of our rooms completely.(had three rooms for our crew). No microwave and fridges. Front desk wasnt apologetic at all. Would not stay again.
Id return this hotel. I appreciated the professionalism of the staff and superb cleanliness of the room. My only dislike was that their was no pool and the prices were inflated. No frig or microwave in the room. Call ahead a few times to ensure you get one in the room. Dont get a room on first floor near the laundry area. The sound of the laundry room door opening and closing will drive you nuts all day!
The Clarion Hotel is a great place to stay in the Beachwood area. The location is excellent, and there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Also, it is only a short drive to Chagrin Falls. The beds at this hotel are some of the most comfortable I have ever had during a hotel stay. That alone is enough to make me come back! The full breakfast is also nice. I have to eat gluten free, so I always appreciate when a hotel actually has eggs and bacon and not just cereal and waffles and bagels I cant eat. There is a very nice steakhouse on the property too, but I have yet to try it. Will definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel, clean, and modern. Very friendly hotel staff, and were very accommodating in getting us a fridge for our room because I didnt realize that wasnt a regular amenity. They could have used an extra concierge when we were trying to check in after our long trip though. Also, they need more channels available other than every news channel in the state.
Love staying in Beechwood when visiting the area. Its close to major shopping and eateries. You cannot beat the free hot breakfast. Were talking about scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, juice options, coffee, danish, toast, english muffins, cereal options, you get the idea. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Would definitely recommend this place.
Overall for the price we paid we were very satisfied with the hotel. Being a Choice Privileges Member I try to stay at Choice Hotels whenever possible. That being said I have had great experiences at a Choice Hotel in Plattsburgh NY and use it as the Gold Standard. One of the things I like about that hotel is that they have 2 restaurants adjacent to the property that can be accessed without going outside. The restaurants are comparable in price to the cost of the hotel and have good food. At check-in guests are offered coupons at check-in for both restaurants. The hotel adjacent to the Clarion offers food at prices way out of league with what most people who are staying at the Clarion would pay for a dinner and there are no discounts offered for guest. The restaurant does offer a limited menu of food items that they will deliver to the hotel lobby, but the choices offered are not that enticing. The lack of refrigerators in the room were our biggest complaint. A small complaint which was directed more at Choice Hotels advertising than at this Hotel in particular is that on the Choice Members web page, guests are offered late check-out at no additional fee up to 2:00 PM. This can be misleading if you do not read the small print. I asked for late check-out due to the need for my husband to rest after surgery and was granted it but only till 1:00 PM, in our case that worked out very well for us, but the way it is worded on the web page can be misleading.
Price was reasonable. Morning breakfast was great because of the woman who prepared everything. Morning checkout people were nice. Check in person was knowledgeable, and very helpful, a smile, though, would have made it even better. The room was good for the price range.
One night stay during a rececnt visit. Overall good experience. Location is very convenient. Facility is clean, mattress was very comfortable. Bathroom little small but overall clean.Breakfast was very good and servcie even better. Will definitely stay here again. If you are looking at the travellers pictures on trip advisor, those pictures now belong to a different hotel (may have been part of Clarion at one point)
Hotel was bright and clean, front desk clerk was off watching Wizard of Oz when I arrived. Booked a King Bed Room, was giving a double bed room instead. Tv took a few minutes to turn on and the guide and remote didnt want to cooperate together. There was a delay when changing channels as well. Upon Check out at 11:15 the Front Desk clerk was again off to the side of lobby watching TV. Needed a room for the night but would spend the extra money for a more reliable hotel.
We needed a hotel near Solon where our son lives and chose Clarion for the price and closeness to Solon. Breakfast was nicer than many free breakfasts, had eggs, breakfast meat(s), potatoes each day and sausage gravy w/biscuits as well one morning. Staff was very nice but a little slow with check- in and out. The hotel was clean, did not have a pool or in-room refrigerator which would have been nice.
The room was clean. But the people who work there no Customer Service. They don’t speak when you walk in the Hotel. I don’t understand how the room was clean but when you walk in the Hotel it has a weird smell. Checked in Saturday 9/21 and the carpet needed to be vacuum. But they finally vacuum on Monday. They should vacuum everyday. The woman who work on 2nd shift she was rude too. I trip over the carpet because they obviously didn’t have it spend out evenly. Once I trip she looked at me and I looked at her. She didn’t even say are u ok. Monday morning came my Husband and I decided to get some Breakfast and the kitchen lady was rude too. Everyone that I ran into from Saturday-Monday needs to learn Customer Service. This will be my last time coming there.
We were visiting friends in the Cleveland Heights area and found this hotel, reasonably priced, accommodating and clean. The buffet breakfast was well prepared and offered more choices than most. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet even though I know there were other guests around and above us. The staff was courteous and helpful. Although this is not a new hotel, it appears to be well maintained. The heater was more than sufficient for even the near sub-zero temperatures this time of year in Cleveland, and was quiet as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.
Check in Staff were personable and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfy, towels were soft and fluffy. Restaurant had a variety of meals available. Meal I chose was very delicious. Outside grounds of hotel were well kept and manager acknowledged I am an Elite Diamond Member which made me feel like a VIP. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. I will be returning.
This is our families second visit at this hotel, staff was very friendly and accommodating as our family was arriving at different times. Our room took longer than expected to have the room cleaned due to hotel staffing from what we were told. Staff is extremely friendly. Would return again.
Hotel was easy off of interstate. The room and overall experience was well worth the price. Traveled different routes to and from downtown Cleveland several times during stay. Relatively easy to get around. Hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was friendly, attentive, and easy to talk with.
It is an okay hotel. Staff is very friendly. They do not offer anything extra though. If you think you might know something, like a special rate, ask them! They will not offer it to you unless YOU ask! It is a basic room. 2 beds, a desk, tv and a shower. Nothing more, nothing less. If you want a refrigerator, you need to look elsewhere. If you want a place to just lay your head; it will do.
The hotel is very clean and easy to get to - good breakfast buffet. The rooms are very comfortable, and there is a basic workout room with bike, elliptical, treadmill, and weights. Only downside was that the bathtub drained slow and could use a little attention from the maintenance staff.
The hotel was clean and very accommodating. All staff were very personable. Everyone we encountered greeted us each time. Breakfast was available from 6:30 - 9:30 during the weekdays. We did go down late...it was close to 9:00 and the eggs and hot water for tea was cold. Again we went down late and close to the end but that is the only negative I have about this stay
Beachwood is a nice area. I would have expected most any hotel in the area to be of higher overall quality than I experienced. The breakfast was continually late and the fresh fruit was way beyond its fresh date. The room furniture was falling apart (A few minutes with a wrench by maintenance would have taken care of it). The heating system was noisy and I found it better to be cold than to have the noise wake me up all night. All that aside, the staff was friendly and courteous.
I enjoyed my stay here. It wasnt fancy but was really just a place for me to lay my head. Room had a nice appearance and was clean. Bed was comfortable. One slight drawback is that the AC is against the window and when you draw the blinds, they cover the vents for the AC. I would stay here again...but ask for a room NOT right next to the elevator. People were not noisy, but elevator made an annoying hum every time it was in use.
We stayed at this hotel while in the area for an appointment with Cleveland Clinic. I booked my reservation online. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by Alfonzo at the front desk. At check in, I mentioned that we were in the area for a visit to Cleveland Clinic. He immediately discounted our room and told us if we ever returned to the Cleveland Clinic and needed to stay at the Clarion again to let them know when making reservations and the room would be discounted every time. Alfonzo was very polite and courteous and our check in process was quick and simple. Alfonzo was a wealth of knowledge, able to answer all our questions, providing directions, and good local dining. He is a definite asset to this hotel. All other staff we encountered during our stay were very polite and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet. The location is very nice, easily accessible from 271 and 20 minutes from Cleveland Clinic. The area is quite nice and offers a wide variety of dining and shopping opportunities. If a need arises to be in the Cleveland area again, we would definitely choose this hotel again.
Every year our family stays in Cleveland to attend the Euclid Memorial Soccer Tournament. Over the years we have stayed in some horrible hotels. We no longer need to spend hours online searching for a clean hotel to stay in when we come to Cleveland! We will be staying here every time! The staff was extremely friendly! Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The fan on the air conditioning unit was so quiet that you could hardly tell it was running. The breakfast was amazing, Such a great variety of hot and cold foods and helpful, friendly staff overseeing the breakfast area. Every staff member we ran into said Hi and asked how we were doing! Keep up the Awesome job and thanks for such a great stay!
Stayed here for a wedding and I would rate this hotel 10/10. Price per night is much more affordable than most of the hotels in downtown Cleveland. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and the A/C was ice cold. They even have a little marketplace at the front desk that sells beer, water, iced tea, snacks, candy and ice cream. This hotel is convienient to all major attractions and restaurants. I would definitely consider staying here again.
The Clarion in Beachwood was a great little find. Nothing super fancy but it was clean, comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. The room was a great price surrounded by a number of more expensive looking hotels. There were a number of close locations to eat and fill up the gas tank. It was great for my short business trip and I would definitely stay again if Im in the area.

2022-03-27Small motel (about 50 rooms on each of 2 floors), very quiet, price on a last minute reservation was pretty reasonable. Clean, comfortable bed (great pillows) and room, staff were friendly. Prepackaged microwavable sandwich along with yogurt, juice, and coffee were available in breakfast area by lobby to eat there or to go (paper bags provided). Only downside was that, even though the bathroom had plenty of hot water from the sink faucet, the shower had no hot water... not freezing cold, but not hot. Mentioned this to 2 staff members. Would stay there again... but would test hot water after check-in.

2022-04-14Positive: Excellent location and price. Negative: We stayed for 3 nights and never received maid service even though we were out of the room by 9:30am! Our room key had to be reactivated every day. Also, the room had no refrigerator and the free breakfast was just coffee or juice with cold muffins!

2022-06-15Don’t do it, if you are looking to stay here don’t do it. Currently been told that the clogged toilet in our room won’t get fixed until maintenance gets here on Friday. It’s Wednesday. No housekeeping staff has stepped foot in here. Need fresh towels? Gotta wait till tomorrow. Also, no microwave or mini fridge. I don’t expect luxury staying here but a working toilet would be nice.

2022-07-10First of all, no microwaves or refrigerators in the roomThese are virtually expected and do exist in the other Choice Hotels we have stayedAlso this hotel only has 1 luggage cartWhen we needed to check out the elevator was out and being a disabled Veteran I couldnt do stairs especially with luggage from our 2nd floor room. 2 lovely housekeepers came to our aid and carried down all our bags. They deserve combat pay for their above and beyond service. Im giving this hotel a 2 star rating but only because of these 2 fine ladies and their helpOtherwise it would only be a 1 since the hotel is old dated and apparently needs refrigerators microwaves room updates and luggage carts and working elevators

2022-03-23Positive: The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable. Negative: This hotel is fairly dingy for the price. The carpet is old and needs replaced. The drains in the sink and bathtub were slow so there was a few inches of water in the tub while showering. The breakfast was only one kind of sandwich, one muffin and yogurt.

2022-04-19Positive: One of the front desk staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable Negative: Hotel and room looked a bit old, no fridge or microwave in the room. Hotel looked like a 2 1/2 star hotel, not a 3 star hotel.

2022-03-14The bed was comfortable, that was the ONLY thing good going for this motel. My keycards deactivated every day, multiple trips back downstairs to be able to get into the room. Front desk was never atteneded, had to wait on someone to finally come and help you. No amenities. Breakfast was a frozen biscuit that was thawed out, when microwaved, it did not taste good. Beware, the television only gets about 10 channels, and the HDMI inputs cannot be accessed through the remote or menus (it is locked out). This created a problem for me to hook up my laptop for business purposes and for entertainment. The feel of this hotel is that it is a motel, it is old and outdated, in desperate need of some care and updating/remodeling. I will not be returning when I come back to the area.

2022-04-18Front end staff is very rude.No mini fridge, no microwave, plugs on lamp are unusable, no buffet breakfast (they said they would give us a sandwich in the morning but never did)I stayed a week ago at the Comfort Inn (about 3 miles away) and paid less for ALL of this included and more.Ill never stay at one of these again.

2022-05-06Think twice before booking, the place needs a total makeover. The front desk staff were the best thing about staying there. They didn’t mention the $50 amenities fee, but it was charged to my card, and I was told I will get it back in a few days….still waiting.
