Took the time to enjoy the High Ropes Course here and enjoyed every minute. I am afraid of heights, but the guides made it extremely inviting. While its $20 for non-county residents, It was still worthwhile! I would highly recommend this to any resident/non-resident for a fun activity to do with friends or family.
This park has a great bike trail that goes on forever, at least 10 miles. There is a rock to climb, a pump bike trail, a nature playground,, a rentable building with rooms,, bathrooms and a fireplace, a nice walking trail that is probably 2 miles or so, and a ropes course by reservation for older kids and adults. The dog and kids enjoy it. You could go fishing in the pond, though we never have so I cant speak to the fishing experience.
A real hidden gem of the Geauga Park District. Its small but down let that stop you. They have a massive event venue. A cute covered picnic area. Then in the back there is an awesome ropes course and a novice boulder. There is even a ground level obstacle course for the little ones.
Excellent facility, if youre into architecture in building they did a lovely job. The fireplace is nice but we had to bring her own wood which is okay. and the park itself with The walking path and bike path is great for the over-active children to run around. Kitchen facilities were excellent as well. our party had about 50 some people and everybody was able to fit in more than comfortably. Ample parking in a nice place to offload.
Beautiful events building and even more gorgeous park!My friends got married here yesterday and though the building is small, it was perfect for an intimate wedding and reception! It was extremely inexpensive to rent and they had the freedom to choose their vendors. (They got a food truck!)The park was so cool and would be perfect for a summertime party!
Absolutely the cutest park ever! And their pavilion is amazing! Hoping to book my sons birthday party in it and a bridal shower next year! Nice trails, rock climbing wall for kids, in air activities ( don’t know what they call it). You can tell it’s being well maintained!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this park. Im so glad I found it.It is tucked away on a nice location. It has a really nice shelter house thats completely closed in with a patio. It has several walking/running/biking path that go like 4 miles long. Theres 2 lakes. There is even a little area where you climb a wall thing and a bike area for tricks/hills/ramps.I really have NOT noticed if there was a play area with swings and slide.
This is a beautiful, clean facility with a full kitchen, plenty of seating and easily accessible parking. I was here to celebrate an 80th birthday...only complaint is that there wasnt a microphone on top of it being a very acoustic room - just something to keep in mind. Did not walk around outside much as it was so cold, but area seemed nice too.
Its got everything. We love rollerblading there. Access to the bike trail, a really cool bike trail of its own with wooden banked curves, ramps and what not, rock climbing boulder, fishing, an awesome building available to rent, pavilions, kids play area. Love it. We go there often.
Great new addition to the geauga park district! So much fun to be had here! A fun (free) rock wall, nature based playground (logs and balance beams no swings or slides), an awesome bike path with ups and downs, and an incredible ropes course (first hour free to geauga county residents, $20 per hour after that and for non residents).
High line rope course is extremely fun. For geauga county residents the course is free. There are weight restrictions. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wife was a bit nervous up there and theycalmed her down and got her across different sections. There are 8 different sections. Also on premises is a mountain bike track and a small climbing wall. You can reach park from Chardon bike path.
The lodge and amenities will open in the summer at the new Claridon Woodlands, 11383 Claridon Troy Road. Till then, come explore all the natural beauty this park has to offer – trails officially open January 2, 2018! Photo: Kathy Hartz & Rocky of Middlefield enjoying the park.

2018-10-17Very adventurous and playful, yet handicapped accessible and cautious for kids. Definitely a family oriented place. Plenty to climb, and still have a sense of serenity. If your into yoga itd be a neat place to have a group. If you have a love for nature this place is it. Lost of obstacles, and fun for everyone.

2019-07-06This place is so fun! My wife and 2 girls had a blast. It is also a lot of work! Make sure you bring your bikes because you will probably have to wait an hour before you go up. They girls who work the course are really friendly and helpful. They do a great job.

2018-08-19This area is still new, however it is in a beautiful location and the landscaping is great. Lots to do, rock climbing, zip lining, fishing, biking trails and walking trails. Hopefully they are going to add more to this beautiful area.

2021-05-01Great hike! Clarion ties into the Maple Highland Trail, which parallels the Buckeye Trail as well. Be sure to check out the ropes course, the climbing rock, and the kids nature area. Bathrooms and water available.
