Kim did such an amazing job on my ombre nails! After telling her about my last experience at a different salon she did everything to make my nails look perfect, down to every last detail. I will def be a returning customer!!
Never been to this place before finally went in on April 2nd 2021 service was pretty good and gave a nice size tip! today is April 21st I figured Id go get my fill in done, my color been turning brownish color dont know how that happened but I was told it would last two to three weeks which my paint is chipping off of my nails the color has turned from Blue to Brown and call today to get an appointment you get nasty customer service sounding like she has an attitude or just simply doesnt want to be at work in that case then dont answer the phone and give it to a pleasant person who likes to take appointments this isnt how you run a business, all it takes is one time to turn me off from something and Ill never return Im sure it wont mean much to many but that was 120 bucks taken out of somebody elses pocket because you have a nasty attitude answering the phone no thanks
Great service. Short wait times if you didnt make an appointment. Lots of color options to choose from.They have all the newest magnetic,dip, color change polish, and hologram powders.
Asked for a simple heart design (photo on right) and this is what i received. 75 dollars for this nonsense. will not be returning.
My experience was absolutely horrible . First off my nails are so crooked and uneven it looks like a child did them i also took a picture as an example of what I was going for and they look nothing like the picture instead of simply telling me they are unable to do it she does it does a horrible job but then I pay $124 for something I could have done myself . My first and my last time there.

First time going to this nail salon. I got a pedicure and it was one of the best pedicures I have ever gotten. I will be back!!
I usually have great experiences here. My usual nail stylist Tran is very considerate and spends time making sure my nails are perfect. Today however I started with a different nail tech that decided instead of fixing a chip in my nail or filing my nails to a shape that would work for my nail cut it off short and said it was her technique. She then lied to the owner saying my nail was that short already . After the owner tried to repair the nail so it matched the length of the others. My polish this time ended up spotty and the “fixed” tip broke off the second I got in my car. This is after they had been worked on for two and a half hours. I really loved this nail salon and had great nails for months from them but after this I will not be returning.
Giving three stars because I have had one good experience here, but last time, I got a gel manicure and it barely lasted a week. The polish started ripping and when I went to get one nail fixed, they made me wait over a half hour for a mistake that THEY made. Very frustrating.
Love the place! Staff is so professional and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Tammy is my preferred nail technician ,shes super talented and really nice. I give them a 5 star ⭐
Kent Slays my nails every time I come in. I tell him and show him what I want and he makes it better and adds something even better to add on to the already amazing work he does. He takes his time and doesnt rush which is awesome he pays attention to detail. Thank you
A year ago I was fussed about my manicure/nails from this place. I was very mistaken.It was clean, proper, and polite.The manicure was on point. The nails were a little clunky. But I’m def coming back for the clean up of my hands and nails! I honestly haven’t had a better mani in a year and I got one Saturday at a nearby spot. Never again will I go there. 😑You never know how good you had it until they’re closed on your day off hey.
Best nail service I’ve had to date. The staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. I usually have to wait a little while even when I have an appointment, but I honestly don’t mind—if they’re a little behind because they’re taking the time to do clients’ nails properly, then so be it. This is the only nail salon where I consistently get what I ask for.
Excellent experience getting a manicure and pedicure for both my daughter and myself today! They were very professional and very efficient. We were Expertly taken care of and and finished within an hour! I loved the experience and will be back and bring my sister next time and my husband!
LOVE. BEST NAIL SPOT EVER! Ivery went to many other salons to get stiletto nails, short and pointy. Thats all I wanted and every salon messed up my nails. I went here and Kent did my nails PERFECTLY. He looked at the photo I brought as reference for 10 seconds and I thought oh no, hes going to mess them up. Nope! He did them exactly how I wanted them! No salon has ever did my nails to my satisfaction but city star nails. I definitely reccommend Kent! Beautiful job!
Im sorry but i absolutely could not understand a word the nail tec. Was saying. My nails chipped on the corners my nails later that day. It was Gel polish... Literally 6days later my nails looked so bad. She told me 2-3 weeks...
I love this place tom gets the job done mood change nails he did feb 2, 2017 last for 2 months no broken nail or nothing the other set are the same nails got a fill in b4 I went to Atlanta on my baecation my nails was health and long its time for me to go back and get them done
The surface of my nails not as smooth as I would liked and they were very rushed. Glad they take walk ins but dont accept them if going to be do rushed. I am fairly happy but would have been happier if not so rushed.

They must be better at doing manicures than they are at pedicures. So so job. Sloppy polish and not enough attention to my heels, no oil on my cuticles and bottoms of my feet are ashy. Very basic results for the price. I’ve gotten better at the mall.
I highly recommend this nail salon. City Star Nails had been a stable beauty spot at the Kamms Corner for over over 22+ years or so (I dont exactly how many years this salon had been opened) but for sure with thousands of happy costumers year in and year out.The price is not expensive at all (comparing to other expensive luxury nail salons). The price is great for wonderful beautiful high quality nail services. The staffs are always very nice, friendly and work very hard to make sure people have nice safe services. They always work hard to keep the place clean, sanitized for the well being of the staffs and costumers.Through words of mouth, people from in and out of town love to come and get their nails done at this unassuming nails salon. Many trendy nail salons in Cleveland will come and go, but City Stay Nails salon stood the test of time. Its a great nails shop. The fact that they have been around for so many years with many happy customers that come back over and over again, year after year speak for itself.I highly recommend this salon for nail lovers in Cleveland to come in and get your nails done.Thank you City Star Nails for your wonderful services for so many years!
I called and asked did they do waxing and was told yes. When I arrived I was asked what services I needed and I responded with waxing. After waiting 30 minutes I was told we can not do the waxing today. What a waste of time. First and last time going!
Recieved pedicure and fill in with white tip by nail tech who sits at station #6. I believe she is the owners wife. I had a appointment at 11am they had me sitting in water until 11:45 because they were running behind. I waited patiently, until I saw nail clippings from a previous client inside the foot tub in. which the receptionist got out and apologized. Nail tech #6 clipped my cuticles which are now sore. Once she began to do design on nails which was only a white outline on each nail, it was so sloppy. Paint on my hands nail not completely painted. I had to go to the owner to try to fix the nails. Still was not happy with service. #6 used a nail file after polishing nails and left scuff marks on every nail. Looked horrible will not be returning back
Decided to get a quick eyebrow wax. NOT AN EYEBROW REMOVAL!!! then the nail tech blames me and says I shouldnt get waxed anymore as if it was my first time!!!!!!!!
There is a long wait but it is well worth it they do excellent work

I have gone to City Star Nails on and off for a couple of years. I think that the pandemic has affected a lot of businesses and the way that they are used to doing business...but I was not happy when I left them, today. I used to be able to walk in and get a service, even if I had to wait about a half hour. I went in last month and heard that they are not really able to accommodate walk-ins anymore so I called and made an appt when I needed another pedi. I got to my appt approx 3 minutes late and even called to let them know that I was on my way. I then sat in a chair in the front of the salon for 40minutes awaiting my service. Nobody addressed me to let me know that they were understaffed or finishing up and would get to me. I let them know that I had to leave and I did. Why schedule appointments if you cannot keep them? 15min is usually my threshold but Im pregnant and need help to get to my toes so was being patient...and it did not pay off.
Terrible service. Had me sitting for awhile they put me at a chair and sat some more. I just left and went somewhere else and didnt have to wait at all.
They did an awesome job on my nails! I will definitely go back.
This place has terrible customer service and some of the nail techs have really bad attitudes. I did a walk-in at 1pm I was told to come back at 6pm I waited all day and came back (I could’ve went to another nail salon, there are so many in the area) after arriving at 6pm I waited another 30 mins but that wasn’t the issue when the nail tech finally started on my nails she asked if I wanted gel I told her NO I brought my own polish she immediately got frustrated I guess because I didn’t want there $20 gel, once she started my nails I was watching a video on my phone tired and unbothered because once again it’s 6:30 in the evening, when she finished filing the first hand she THREW! My hand across the manicure table I asked her can she not throw my arm again, instead of her apologizing and continuing she started arguing with me and said do you want me to stop doing your nails? I said I asked you not to throw my arm that is all. The biggest issue is if you do something and it wasn’t on purpose you apologize and you move on. you don’t argue with the person so that makes it obvious that it was done intentionally. Then the manager smh. He is just as bad, has no leadership skills at all, he start to argue as well this is exactly why this place does not get my business terrible attitudes and customer service! BEWARE!And let me add this, you all said I was the only customer that complained about her hand being pulled and pushed I’ve read other reviews and I’m not! I saw other customers complaining about the same thing, no one should be paying their hard earned money to receive a service just to be disrespected and abused. In business good customer service is not an option it’s a requirement!
Kent is really nice and patient and funny. Highly recommend him and this business! I got dip powder nails and acrylic w overlay removed. Very affordable and very nice customer service from everyone I encountered.
The mullet of pedicures. Too much taken off the top and not enough off the back. My toes were rubbed almost raw with a few tiny abrasions and not enough attention given to my heels. Nail Polish looks great but as far as my skin, it looks like I didn’t even have a pedicure.

I’ve been going here for a while and the work is always satisfying. I do prefer to go back to the same person for fills etc so I am currently going to Kent and he is always getting my nails together. I went 6 long weeks without getting a fill and couldn’t believe no broken nails or lifts occurred. Very happy!
I just wanted to say that I started seeing Judy at city star nails a few months back and I have been very pleased with the way my nails have changed for the better I am very happy with her service and the quality of her skills and she is very fast which is also great. I cannot say enough about Judy also city star nails has a wonderful collection of polishes I have been very happy and it is right by my house what more could I want. A+ plus!
I went there today before work, 2 of my co-workers and I went because I wanted my nails done for my birthday (Saturday!). Im not sure who did my nails (my fault, I never asked) but I had a great conversation with her and she did amazing on my nails! I would highly recommend and I will be definitely be coming back.
I recently had a spa deluxe pedicure by Kim. She was good but went extremely hard at scrubbing my feet, when got home I noticed I had some burning and at a closer look she cut my feet up some. If I go back, I would definitely tell them to go softer next time. Other than that she was meticulous at cutting cuticles, nails and filing.

So, after searching for a place to get my nails done after work that can fit my schedule, I found after reviews and reviews of different places this salon. Well, Ive never been there and I decided to try it after getting my nails done the first time with someone that really left me disappointed with my nails. I read reviews of this place and went there and requested KEN and waited for him for a while but I have to say this guy fixed my nails, took his time, fixed it how I wish they were the very first ttime I had them done. Asked me if I was happy with the outcome. I love his work and will keep going back to him!!!! Thank you Ken for your work.
I’ve been going to City Star Nails for a few years now and I absolutely love it. I’ve tried most nail salons in the Cleveland area and this one is the best by far! Ken always does a great job on my nails and they never chip/peel off prematurely. Highly recommend going here for all of your nail needs!
Ken and his team are awesome. Ive been coming here for years, everyone is always very professional and friendly. Good atmosphere and great job on the nails. They last a long time and they have a big assortment of colors for regular and gel polish. Would definitly recommend the place. Its also a plus that they take appointments so you dont have to wait for hours like some other places.
I Loved my experience here! Today is my birthday and I missed my original appointment at another location. So I called City Star Nails and they were the answer to my prayers! They gave me better than what I originally asked for and the price was MORE then affordable! Id recommend City Star Nails to any and everyone looking to get amazing service and a new look at a great price!
Pedicure and manicure were great. Dont let them touch your eyebrows though. Loopsided and uneven. Then wanted to argue even after I walked away. Then proceeded to discuss it with other customers. Who does that? Never again

Just recently got my nails done on 9/6/19 in the evening, since then the gel polish has come off on 4 of them and is chipped on 1. Now it has been a while since anything has been put on my nails at all, but I don’t remember the gel polish being like this!!! It’s literally only been 13 days(the first one peeled off after day 7) I was told that they last for up to 3 weeks with gel!! . I paid 38 dollars and I am very disappointed. Honestly I wouldn’t care but it’s gel! Not regular polish, it shouldn’t of come off that quick also should of lasted much longer. It was later in the evening and they were trying to get out of there so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it. Just upset that they turned out that way :( I got a pedicure as well which I also felt was rushed. So in total I spent 80 dollars for an uncomfortable situation only to then, have my nails come off.
I been going to City Star Nails for over 16 years and let me say how I never had a problem with them. I love how generous and kind they are. Its a very nice and clean salon. The Kent always does a great job and also the other nail tech I have tried 2 other places and they do not do the same great work City Star Nails does. They have great selection of gel colors n regular colors plus let me not forget the moon colors. I recommend this place to everyone! I love it...
Went for our nails for my daughter wedding and they did a beautiful job. Very clean. Nice people. Will definitely be going bk. And I live 30min away its worth it
I had a good experience at the salon, but not afterwards. I got dip done, something I’ve been doing for a year. Kim, the nail tech was very nice and did great shaping and filing!! But I think their dip powder is very cheap and not strong at all. I had 3 nails bend and crack. One nail bent and cracked 4 hours after I left. Two more during the week. My pinky bent so badly that my natural nail cracked halfway down my nail bed. It now needs to grow out. Very painful.I’m sure their other services and nail techs are great, but I won’t be returning.
I got a gel manicure and the lady that did my nails rushed through my nail appointment. Nails are misshapen, the color wasnt put on my nails all the way (patches of nail visible), and when I asked for a second coat she said it looked fine and said I was done. Gave them a second chance (first time wasnt great either). Will never go back.
With having to return to work, I had to get my nails done again. I have always visited this salon and trusted that they would make sure that they were up to the CDC guidelines for safety.I had an appointment, so when I arrived I just called the salons phone number and the receptionist let me know I could come in. When I came in, she met me at the front desk with a no touch thermometer to take my temperature and then I was asked to go wash my hands. After that I had to wait in the waiting area for a few mins but while I was waiting I saw the nail techs spraying and wiping down each table and chair with alcohol. In between the nail tech and I was a large piece of plastic, they also have these at the pedicure chair. While I got my nails done the nail tech wore gloves and washed hands in between.If your looking to get your nails done and be safe I HIGHLY recommend going to City Star Nails.
I’ve gone to city star before and was equally as displeased as I am now. I have gone with my mom the last 2 times and I always go second and finish first. (Not mentioning the disorganization of the place with the LONG wait). My acrylics always pop off with gentle care and haven’t looked good in my last 2 visits there. I always get a coffin shape and i’ve noticed the top of my nails being slanted. The nails rarely have the same shape on each nail. Like I said, i go with my mom and they seem to take much better care of the women than with the teenagers/young adults. probably because they know that the adults will call them out if they do something while the teens will let it slide. I got my nails done a week ago and already the pinkie and middle nail (Left hand) came off and the pinkie nail (Right hand) came off as well. Wouldn’t recommend going here if you’re looking for quality nails at a REASONABLE price.

Ive been here quite often and I like the result, but there are a few drawbacks:1. I have not seen masters disinfect manicure tools before and after a client. Nail files are not disposable. Paper towels that shake off dust are used several times.This point is very important for people who are worried about their health.2. So as masters of work on the speed, fingernails saw very rudely.after the last time I had a very sore fingers and skin around the nails, because the work was done quickly and the nail file cut the skin
Being originally from Chicago my standards for professional manicures is very high. I tried this salon on a whim with a friend who was looking for a quick manicure. HANDS DOWN the best full set I have EVER GOTTEN! The tech took literally 2 hours on my nails, made conversation and was so kind! The techs work really hard at this salon to make their customers feel welcomed. I at no point found them being unprofessional or rude like other posts have stated. I would also like to point out that the techs working at this salon are in fact American citizens who speak English very well.
City Star is my favorite nail salon. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and I still love it. Family owned, very professional and I always get great service. I’ve tried other salons but I always come back here. I recommend them to all my family, friends and clients.
I wont go anywhere else. I tried to and ended up hating the way they did my nails so much that I went to City Star two days later to have them redo my nails. Everyone there is so nice and Im always happy with the way my nails look when I leave. The prices are super reasonable as well. The wait can sometimes get long depending on when you go but it is 100% worth it.
I just wanted to say you guys are great!! The receptionist I think her name is davi was so sweet and got us an appt same Day. I got my first pedicure and I laughed really hard but it felt really good and me feet look great!! I will definitely be back

Went here at 7 with my friend and they stayed open late for us. great experience and beautiful nails! everyone is super nice and went the extra mile to make sure our nails were perfect even though they had to stay late for us :)
I have been getting my nails done in this salon for 15 years and absolutely love the staff. Their prices are very affordable and their service delivery is exceptional. They have an endless number of great color options for regular or gel polish. I would recommend this nail salon without reservation.

I have been going here for sometime. This place is great! I get gel polish and they have a wide selection of colors. I go to 1 person for the most part but everyone is nice and have done my nails to with no issues. The pedicures are nice to! 😊
Love love love this place. Ken and Kim are both amazing. They are patient and passionate about their work. I get pedis, acyrilic nails and Brow waxing. I have been coming here for nearly 2years and I will not go anywhere else. If you are looking for great nails and service -check them out!
Its a bummer to write this review, because City Star came recommended by a friend, and the pedicures were actually quite. The manicures, however, were a different story.I got a dip mani and my friend got a gel mani. First, they filed my friends nails far too short and the wrong shape, even after asking how she liked them. They were not even/slanted, and the polish was completely uneven as well. She was already refiling them by the time we were in the car. To make matters worse, for a gel mani that is supposed to last two weeks, hers chipped within two days. She got a new mani less than a week later (elsewhere, of course).The woman who did my dip mani clearly did not know what she was dong. My biggest issue with that is that I made an appointment over a week ahead of time, so theres no reason someone who didnt know how to do a dip mani was doing my nails. I have had at least 3 nails chip within about 5 days, and one of my nails has a weird crack/bubble in it. The quality is so poor. And on top of that, she did the dip polish, but didnt clean my cuticles, put lotion on my hands... none of the actual mani part. So i got an extremely poor polish change for the price of a mani.Unfortunately, this is not a place I would recommend going. Prices are far too high in general, but especially for lackluster services.
Experienced AWFUL service my most recent visit here. my nails are completely different lengths, the woman who did them was super rough THEN charged me 43 dollars for a poor quality fill in. were also super rude when i expressed my unhappiness with my experience. was there with my friend and man who did hers was also super rude and unprofessional, dogged the university she attends, and proceeded to charge her extra because the polish she initially had chosen was old and leaving bubbles on her nails. wouldnt recommend going here to anybody..
I found City Star Nails on Yelp and decided to give them a try. When I walked in and I was greeted by a friendly face who asked what I wanted done. I responded a fill with shellac, so she showed me all the polishes. The salon is large and very clean with ample seating, stations, and pedicure chairs. I waited 10 minutes before Ken, the owner, told me I could sit at his station. After I sat at his station he noticed my University of Dayton pin and my Ohio State pin on my jacket. He then asked if I went to Ohio State and I responded no I went to the University of Dayton. He then gave me a high-five and told me his son is currently a student at UD. The Flyer in me was super excited and we started to discuss UD and what his son was studying. After a brief conversation about UD he told me that I needed to get a new set because my nails were lifting. I really appreciate his recommendation considering my nails were popping off like popcorn. But, now theyre very strong and durable.Ken is super friendly and very professional. He did an amazing job. Before visiting City Star Nails my nails looked like they went through a paper shredder. Now my my nails are beautiful and I think I could pass for a hand model lol. Cant wait until my next appointment!!If youre in the area stop by City Star Nails. The prices are very reasonable and staff is super friendly.
I was there 4 day ago and got my nails done with the woman that set at both2 she did a bad job on my nails. But I have had my nails done there 2 other time and it was a great job.
Walked in and was welcomed, only waited about 5 minutes before my pedicure. Highly recommend this salon! Ill be back!
Came in 30minutes before my appointment, did not get called back for another almost 2hrs. The lady that did my nails (a fill & polish) sits at the back left table, wasnt very friendly at all. Before she began I told her what I like (coffin shape, thin & to keep my length that Ive been growing out for a year.) Ive been getting my nails done for almost 15yrs & one thing I learned very quickly is to let the nail tech know right away if they are doing something you dont like (atleast giving them the courtesy to fix things before getting all the way done & going back in to fix). The lady told me it was her technique & she knew what she was doing. So I complied & allowed her to do what she said she knew how to do.!!! She filled my nails veryyyy thick. After I asked for thin. They stick up past my cuticle. Very bubbly & uneven. She was also very heavy handed. She cracked my knuckles atleast 3 or 4 fingers thats how hard she was bending my fingers. So this is where it gets interesting.... She went in to file my nails down, immediately took way too much off from my length & I have niks & cuts all over my cuticles on each finger. AND IT HURTS!!!! The shape is ridiculous. Then she piled on 4-5 coats of nail polish in an attempt to layer up on the uneven spots. Most of all & this is the reason why I will never go back... When I expressed I didnt like them, she said they were too busy to fix them. I understood & asked if I could arrange an appt to come back in but quickly seen the sign by the door that reads in bold print that once you leave, they dont fix !!!! I have since gone to 2 different people to fix them, one advised me to let them grow out a bit then soak them off & start new again (I cant soak them off now because of the niks & cuts).... The 2nd lady took a look & soaked my fingers in a solution to fight off infection & told me to go to the ER if they are swollen today. Which they are. I hope nothing worse comes from this experience but its not looking too good.!!!!
So as i was getting my nails done, the lady kept leaving the station into a room for about 5-10 a couple of times. Also i went home and not even four hours in , my thumb nail broke. So i went the next day to get it repaired and they charged $3.24 for that one nail. His excuse was that it was too long and i had to be careful. In the next week I broke three more nails doing everyday tasks . Everyone that sees my nails says theyre too thin. Not worth my $46 dollars at all. Do not go here unless you want to pay extra for thin nails that break in one week. Never going here again. If I could put 0 stars I would.
Been trying to find a new nail place and decided to try this place after reading some good reviews. My nail tech was nice which is unfortunately the only good thing I can say. ☹ Its been 6 days since I had a full set of acrylics put on. Two of them started lifting on day 5. I would get if I had done something traumatic to the nail but all I did was reach into a bag, the nail brushed against a pop can and lifted off, no idea why the other nail is lifting. I only noticed because after the first lifted off I checked all the others. And finally a third nail snapped in half today, something Ive never had happen. All I was doing was opening a box, slide my finger in to open the top and it just snapped. I waited an hour for these 😑
I suffer from extremely dry and cracked feet, its a hereditary issue. This makes getting pedicures a very anxious and self conscious experience for me. When I got my pedicure yesterday, the nail tech who took care of me made my experience embarrassing and uncomfortable. She made 4-5 comments about how bad my feet were. Some of these comments were; theyre very bad, arent they, You feet are very bad, you should come in at least once a month to get them taken care of, Its summer time, you really need to come in and take care of these. Just to give a few examples, and I was only with this lady for 45 minutes.... I am appalled and disappointed that someone could be so rude. When you work in the beauty industry it is your job, in my opinion, to make people feel beautiful. This lady, (who didnt give me her name) made me feel insecure, gross and sad. She did it in front of 5 people, one of which was a friend of mine. She publicly shamed me, and acted as if I didnt know how my feet looked... I came to her, to clean them up, I paid for the services to take care of the dryness I cannot take care of myself... This is not my first pedicure, but it is the first time someone shamed me for something I cannot control, publicly embarrassed and degraded me. I dont appreciate how I left feeling. I will not be going back to this institution, and I think the tech I had should reconsider her career path. I would encourage others to rethink their decision on City Star Nails.
First time at this place and I had a mani and pedi done. The nail tech doing my nails didn’t give me a proper pedi and wasn’t friendly. She rushed through it. It wasn’t until I changed my mind and wanted to do gel on my nails that her attitude changed. Two weeks later every finger on my right hand is cracked!! The left hand is not far behind.
Terrible experience. Ive come here for years. I came in had my nails and toes polished a-month ago. The tech never charged me for my toes. So this time i come in and the owner says you owe us money.. umm not my fault I wasnt charged properly a-month ago. Ok.. then I asked for a chip to be fixed, and polish change. The tech didnt even take off all the old polish. The nail tech was rude from the time he called me to his table. I got up to walk out. I wont come back. They lost a long time, Good paying customer. I drive out of my way to come here. I always get nail art and extras. Their service has changed. Its sad, but I wont recommend them and I wont come back. I will be calling the state to have them review their business practices after charging me a month later for something they should have charged me for the day that I was in. This is the worst service Ive ever had at this place. Its unfortunate theyre going downhill theyre going to lose a lot of customers.
Professional and friendly the service and prices are great. Their pedicure with massage chair can’t be beat. Sophea is my favorite but you’ll find all the folks are stars. Great for yourself, ladies night, or gift certificates. Isn’t it time you treated yourself to great service!
Ive been sitting here for an hour waiting to get a fill on my nails. ..Seriously? An hour? The employees are moving as slow as molasses with no care in the world of how long it should actually take. Granted, they do great work. But come on! ! An hour wait?
I was satisfied with their work but felt rushed the whole time I was getting my fill and pedicure done I feel like if you’re getting charged that much you should be able to enjoy your pedicure not to hurry you up out the chair also 50 dollars for a fill in nothing extra seems a bit extreme other then that they we’re ok.
My nail tech was Judy...she is so sweet and good at what she does. Great service! Clean safe and sterile. My nails poppn!! Definitely going back😁
From out of town, no appt. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces.We recieved excellent service, very friendly personalized, professional service . Very Clean, organized. Ken , your staff was awsome.I wish this salon was in Michigan.
The worst place ever the people here treated me so bad I wanted to get a service but when I saw that he was going to do my toes underneath the nail table I was ABSOLUTELY AGAINST IT I then told them to just soak the gel off he was rough didn’t talk to me at all maybe it was a race thing but I never felt so out of place I always tip but it was just that bad I got my soak off and left! I’ve never had my toes done on the floor of a business so disappointed.

I heard so many good things about this place but I was so disappointed. Im not sure if it was just the luck of the draw in the person I got but I asked the nail tech repair my cracked nail and she did nothing but polish over it. Looked horrible and split the next day. I got a $40 gel mani and she never even filed my nails. I went Christmas eve and i will have to go elsewhere for new years! Did even last a week!Emily

The nail tech knew exactly what I wanted and fixed the shape of my nails from a previous nail tech disaster plus she used a gel polish that lasted 3 weeks. Thats longer than most places that use gel polish.
Horrible experience. The lady who worked on my nails kept burning me with the tools. I had called ahead and asked for a price range and they told me something way less than what I paid. And I got a fill in with gel and within 3 days they were already peeling and chipping off. SO disappointed and will NOT be going back.
I was charged 45$ even though I said no gel just polish and was told it was because of length it should have been 35$dont make sense

I went to this place because the place I previously went to messed up my nails. I’m new to the area and was looking for a good nail place. I waited a little however Tina did such a good job. I recommend this place. I will be returning there soon

Olmsted, Middleburg, parma hgts etc.This salon, seriously, has the friendliest, most accommodating , talented staff Ive found.The owner and his wife really bend over backwards to help. The atmosphere is professional yet friendly, warm.Ive been getting my nails done since 1997 and I found them through my husband. I wont go anywhere else.Check them out!Tia Hart
I usually will tip the manicurist, but I am not happy with the service that I received today. She talked on her phone while working on my nails, and she didnt shape my nails the way that I had asked (a lil shorter and a bit more rounded), and was just impersonal and sloppy. Next time, Ill wait for the one who did my nails 2 weeks ago instead.
Ive been going here for 2 months. Nice work! Im from Fl & we have ALOT more options in nails, color acrylic, ect. No nail shops here seem to be doing what Fl does. I hope they do soon. :) I reccomend City Star here.
I used to go there a few years back and stopped just because I lived too far. I recently moved a few minutes away and its like I never left. Kent is awesome and so is the rest of his staff. I hope they stay the same ALWAYS. 😁

Im not from the Ohio area and I was looking for somewhere for me and my mom to get our nails done before a wedding. I found their website and browsed around, however I couldnt find a single thing that said if they offered GEL nails. so 2 weeks prior to getting them done I went in to ask about getting GEL nails with a deluxe spa mani/pedi package I had seen online. the girl I spoke to assured me that would be no problem and I made our appointment. when we went to have them done and we went to pay afterwards a different women said no I couldnt do that package because that isnt allowed with GEL polish. the manager said he wouldnt make an exception, even though no where on the website does it say cant apply to GEL nails. I WOULD NEVER recommend them to anyone and I will never be going back. the quality of the mani/pedi werent that great either. I left with polish all over my hands, the GEL portions sticking off of the nail itself, and a smudge on my toe she said she fixed but didnt.
Nails came out amazing!! ken you rock 😎 first time coming here and yes its a wait but worth it you cant expect to go into a nail salon and get out in 20 minutes !!! would highly recommend.

First time was a good experience I liked the ambiance of this nail shop this was the best pedi Ive ever gotten she took her time and painted my toe nails very neat this is a place I would go to for pedis and she shaped my coffin nail very good I will be back.

Horrible. I walked in at 7:49 only to be rudely told were closed. I only needed one nail fixed that had just broke. I was going out of town that night and they were the only salon open near me. I begged them to have someone do it because they had more than enough people available. They laughed and said no. They had a party to go to. Most unprofessional place Ive ever been to. Do NOT go here.

All I have to say is HORRIBLE SERVICE!! IF I could give them 0 stars I would!! Ive attempted to come here 3 times and every time they do not communicate with there clients. Every time Im there waiting they take the person after me that just got there after Ive sat and waited 15min. No they did not have an appointment. Worse place in Kamms plaza. Sad to say...My friend went there as well and the Gel chipped the next day.

I have came here a few times and every time I’ve had to wait hours, today I made a appointment I get here to my appointment and they tell me that it’ll be a 45min to hour wait to even start my nails.. how crazy is that? Tonight was my 1st time there. Ive been looking for a new place since my old tech switched professions. I needed a full set and KIM nailed it💯!! Im beyond picky about the shape, width, and thickness. So I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she did just that. Thanks Kim ill be back in 2 weeks💜
Terrible service ever! 😡😡 the nail technicians arguing in front of customers refusing to give service and customer has her legs in the water waiting for almost 30 min, technicians didn’t attend to customer literally, customer got up, wipe her feet and left after waiting 45 min only to get a slot to get my manicure and pedicure was not done

I like the service at this salon but why do they take appointments. Every time I have made an appointment they either call to move it back or when I arrive I still wait 20 to 30 minutes. I make appointments so dont have to wait and I always show up on time. Why??

I went in on a Sunday and by Tuesday, 2 of my nails fell off. The acrylic was not even throughout the nail and were too thin. I wouldn’t recommend.

The lady that did my pedi was rude, spent her time talking to other tech, didnt give me full service, was rough n after telling her 3x to clip nails as short as possible, she barely clipped any off, paint job was shoddy n just felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there!+!!

2022-08-25I have been going to City Star Nails for almost 4 years. They are the only salon I will go to. Kent does amazing on my nails everytime whether its acrylic or dip. I leave so happy each time. They truly take time and pride in their work. Everyone is always very friendly.

2022-06-14Im a regular here for mani & pedicures. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I transitioned from acrylic/gel to natural with dip on my hands. The technicians helped my nails restore strength while making them always look presentable based on my expectations. Pedicures are always on point as well. Picture attached is one of my biweekly manicures, simple and professional. My daughter is a regular as well and always looks forward to her appointment which includes far fancier nails than mine.

2022-08-31Mani-Pedi experience was great! Literally the best my nails have ever looked. Lori took a lot of time with me and was very pleasant and professional. I was so comfortable during the massage part of the pedicure almost fell asleep. 😀 Massage chairs very nice. Would recommend to anyone!

2022-02-17The nail tech was rough, pushing and pulling my hands. The quality of material they use is very cheap. My nails haven’t been done for a full 7 days and within 4 days the gel was chipping. My nails look well over 2 weeks old. Not to mention I paid $55 for a fill- in! Well overpriced for the quality of work. Steer clear!

2022-05-26I went there for a fill and it was my first time going there. I had heard good things so I was excited. My appointment was at 4:15, so I got there at 4 but they didn’t start till 4:35. I understand that it is was not their fault, but still frustrating. I asked for a fill, but she said she couldn’t do it and instead gave me a full set. She proceeded to rip off my nails, which hurt. She then started to take out her tools and I noticed that they were just in her drawer and not sanitized. The file has clearly been used before. I asked for an almond shape with a french tip. Instead, she gave me a stiletto shape and I tried to speak up, but she did not listen. I barely had the chance to look at them before she started to paint them. It was nothing like I wanted so I asked her to fix it, but she barely fixed them. She left polish and acrylic on my cuticles and the polish job was messy. She was trying to get me to pay with cash rather than debit card even after I said I did not have enough cash on me. There were signs saying that there were no refund so I couldn’t even ask them to fix them. Overall, the place was unprofessional, unsanitary, and rude. I will not be returning.

2022-07-18NEVER EVER GO HERE. They will say they can do things just to get you in and take your money but they actually CANT do them. I’ve come 3 times asking for something simple like a coffin shape or a simple design of lines and dots. Was told they could do it only to find out they absolutely CANT. Then they make you pay to fix their lies.I’ve also witnessed someone book an appointment with a particular tech and then being told she could t have that tech after she was already there for her appointment. BUNCH OF LIARS ONLY IN IT TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.

2022-08-05Makes absolutely no sense to make an appointment because theyre never on time!! 1p.m appointment for full set on nails & toes they didnt get started till 1:45 which I ended up getting just toes done & had to come back to get the full set with an appointment made and again waiting 30mins before getting started. Nail-Techs act like you telling them what you want is a problem!! You end up bein overcharged for a job that they rushed thru with an attitude and the nails are sub par.
