There was some good and there was some bad.. He baked beans and beef brisket are amazing fully recommended and absolutely delicious! However pulled chicken is terribly disgusting! Ive never had chicken that tasted like tuna salad... Service was decent.
The ribs were flavored really well from the smoking and seasonings. My pulled pork was awesome also. Thanks City Barbecue, yall do a very good job.
Good BBQ joint! Food is reasonably priced, and plentiful, service is exceptional. Its a fast food style restaurant where you order at the counter, and then pick up. I saw a review saying that it would be better if they had a numbered order system, but I think its part of the ambiance. You better KNOW what the hell you ordered! Lol!Food: Brisket was a little dry, but it was almost closing time so thats to be expected. The ribs were really good. Same as the chicken. The sides we had were bomb! Get the Jack mac-n-cheese! It was really good! Same as the slaw, green beans, baked beans, and collards as well. All really good! The only thing that wasnt so good was the corn bread. It was a little dry. Other than that... EVERYTHING else was great! Thank you Kyle and Sarah for the yummy peach cobbler!
Ive been to multiple locations and the Q is very consistent. Thats what youd expect in a chain and thats what you get. Rib bone Tuesday is a must day to visit. Im a huge fan of their brisket! Most recently, I enjoyed quarter chicken dark and pulled pork with vinegar slaw and collards. It was excellent! I wish City Barbeque was in Tennessee!

We ordered smoked chicken. The wifes half was raw and bloody inside. Call to City BBQ.They fixed the situation so we ordered a new half and now we have chicken for the rest of the week. 🙂Well maintained, good service attitude.Almost forgotten, the chicken was good.
We have ordered take out / curbside pickup a few times from City Barbeque. Each time getting The Motherload and it has never disappointed. Everything tastes fresh, great BBQ flavors. Our last order was during a lot of lockdowns and I feel like they really adapted quickly and greatly in order to make the experience as smooth as possible for all. Keep up the great work!

Outstanding award winning brisket. Ribs are good but not outstanding. Cooked to Louisiana style meaning the meat does not fall off the bone. I prefer the meat fall off. Good atmosphere for kids and families. Service is friendly and efficient. I recommend City BBQ with no reservations. Enjoy!
They were helpful I didnt know what I wanted .Then I took my food home and I was like oh my goodness. But beware of getting it home and get attack by daughter take half your food 🤣

Went here with a group of teens on our way south for a church youth trip. We had a fantastic experience. Our interaction with the staff was terrific. Food was great. I will visit this location again.
Always good food (brisket is a favorite) and quick service today! We got the motherload, which also came with 6 sides and was plenty of food for 4 people. We had a box of leftovers we took home which would feed another person.

I have both dined in and placed carry out orders! I can highly recommend both experiences! The food is wonderful and reasonably priced! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, well able to make helpful recommendations! The management is super friendly and can be seen and available! I have personally been waited on by Danielle (Dani), an assistant manager and another Danielle (tall). They both remembered my order and when I wanted to switch things up made great, delicious recommendations that made my dining experience a delight. You will love this place!

Dont risk your party or event catering from city barbeque. Order food for 8 to 10. Amount they sent wouldnt feed 8 to 10 school kids. Very disappointing value.
I placed a to go order. When I came to pick it up I was told that the order hadnt processed through the system properly and was never made (not an issue with my card, an issue with their system). I was given a discount on the 1/3 items they did have from my original order, but it was not the same quality and previous visits.
Had them to cater our company Christmas party. They were prompt and had some minor problems but had solutions for me to choose from before ever calling me. And were still on time. Highly recommend the delivery service and will use these guys a lot going forward
All most the worst plate of BBQ Ive ever been served more fat than meat which also renders a awful taste in the meat this was my first visit here I hope this is not the norm.
I bought a half of a slab of ribs and they were delicious the service was a little slow but the restaurant was clean the washroom was clean could have been a little cleaner but it was playing we will go back

Danielle is amazing! I only really care about the edges of the peach cobbler, I’m not a fan of middle stuff at all. She always goes over and beyond on helping me be a satisfied customer. Today she could not find one that was already made up that would satisfy me, so she went and got the new pan and served me exactly what I wanted !!!! Unlike the cashier who was snobby about telling me they were already made up. Thank you Danielle ! I wish chipotle had workers like you lol 😂

This restaurant is poorly run. I’ve tried them for curbside twice, and it’s lousy service. I had placed my curbside order on their website. When I pulled into a parking space marked for curbside pickup, the sign said to use the app to let them know I’d arrived. I downloaded the app, and the button the sign said to push isn’t even on the app. Maybe it used to be, but the sign should’ve been changed if it’s no longer current. Then I realized the text they sent me said how let them know I’d arrived and I did so. I waited 5 minutes and no one came to my car. I called, but it’s clear they don’t want to talk to their customers. I was on hold a long time before someone at a central location (not at the restaurant) answered. More than 10 minutes after I let them know I’d arrived, a kid comes out with a sack of cold food and tells me they ran out of slaw. They’d had almost an hour to let me know that and offer a substitute. The rest of the order was tasty even though it was cold, so 2 stars instead of 1. I’m not giving up on the whole franchise, but I’m done with this location.
I have gone to City barbeque for many years. Theyre pulled chicken and pulled pork and the chocolate cake are by far their flagship offerings. They take excellent care of military and law enforcement and I appreciate everything that they have done to honor US veterans over the years. I would recommend City barbeque to anyone for any occasion they are fantastic.

Took awhile for someone to take our order. Then chunks of food got stuck on bottom of my shoes,EWW. 1st time have ate in at this location, although did pick up ham for Easter dinner previously. Not a fan of way the sides are served either. I will be sticking to Centerville location from now on.

If you DD do not pick up there. You will not get your tip for delivering it. They steal them when the tip is meant for the driver.
My In-laws bought a very delicious meal for our family here. I was soooooo impressed with all of it! The pulled pork was absolutely divine and all the sides were also. The cornbread was warm and fresh. I liked it more then my moms.The price for all this was worth it! Not too costly, but worth every penny!! I will go here many more times and refer others as well!!
We went there just for a night out. It was not crowded as we got there about 5:30 p.m. . We ordered the sampler which had pulled pork, smoked turkey, beef brisket, and a smoked sausage. For sides we had the collard greens and the corn pudding. We did upgrade to a larger size for the sides. They were taking precautions for covid-19. Masks were required, and they even supplied another cup if you wanted to get a refill for your soft drink. Overall food was good and came quickly. This is a good place to get a quick bite to eat.
Hands down delicious!!!Outstanding service as always. Mike who helps all the guest with their needs in the dining area goes above and beyond to insure your meal and service is more than what you expect. His willingness to get you things you need, sauces, pickles, utensils, or help you if your order isnt correct is something other food service companies should take notice of. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant is a main reason why I come back each week to enjoy a nice lunch. Thank you and keep up the great work!
It wasnt what Im used too with City Barbeque. the brisket was very dry and seemed it was scraped from the bottom of the pan.. this is my 1st time at this particular location

Called at 430 to have a pick up ready by 6, thatn called back to see if I could pick it earlier. The gentleman said yes that it would be ready at in 15 to 20 minutes, got there at 5:37.When I called, the guy never asked what car or anything said he would be out with my food waited 10 minutes. Four other people pulled up after me, and got there food in less than 2 to 4 minutes after they parked. I called back to talk to someone about this, and they put me on hold for another 7 minutes, when I tried to explain to the women.She acted like she could not hear me, all of sudden, very bad customer service. I am paying you for a service, and demand better treatments of a p8ying customer. See pictures of times I called and how long I waited in hold.
Read was very cold they forgot my sauces could not even eat my fries they were so hard
I had the brisket. It did not have a good smoked flavor on its own. Needed sauce and seasoning. Sides I had (green beans and cole slaw) were good.
This place is too good! The brisket is the best meat they offer. Always very moist with a great smokey taste. The hush puppies and green beans are excellent too. We have tried all of their sauces and love the swine wine. We will definitely keep going back to this spot.
Walked in ordered up some delicious bbq they served it faster than my wife could fill up her drink. Super yummy! Price reasonable. I suggest the hush puppies!! Well be back for shure.

The pulled chicken & corn pudding was delicious...but the brisket was exceptionally dry & tough; when brought to the attention of a team member, she mostly just shrugged and said it all depends on the cow...some are juicy, some not
It wasnt that great. Im used to BBQ from the south tho, so I mean, its wasnt bad, but I wasnt impressed either. The chocolate cake was def not worth it either. The staff was extremely helpful when I I had a problem with the app, and they were extremely nice,too. Just not impressed by the food.
Id you are around it or near it. GO HERE! tgis is the spot!!! Try all of their saus and even take it to go. That just made my day. Will visit again when I am near this spot!!!

Had the pork sandwich. Plenty of meat and ample bbq sauce. Corn bread was good, not overly sweet. Mac & Chees was good as well. We didnt eat there. A little expensive, but not bad for what you get.
Brisket tender, moist and a wonderful bark that tastes even better than it smells. Well worth the trip. Their care 4 spacing and safety of staff and customers alike are refreshing in this day and age of coved. Eating in or carryout you know youre safe and the food is wonderful. While the brisket is great are baked beans are even better original best of all. Im looking for a tasty BBQ without the work. A barbecue with all the fixings insides topped off by peach cobbler City Barbeque cant be beat.
This is the second Friday in a row the collard greens have been disgusting! They were extremely crunchy as if they needed to be cooked longer and they had absolutely no flavor unless you were eating the meat it self. Kind of upset because they’re the main reason I visit City BBQ and they’re not cheap. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.
Order taker/ hostess was short and rude (af). Had a small child so just ignored it. Couldn’t get the order right without triple checking. Wasn’t a complex order.. Food was decent. May return and update but not for a while at least.
Good stuff! Had a 2 meat plate with great brisket and some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever had.We mentioned it was our first time there and the manager was nice enough to give us samples of all their sides. These were similar in quality to the meat and all were excellent, particularly the mac and cheese and baked beans.We’ll be back!
I ordered a DoorDash from here, but they gave it to the wrong person accidentally (mixing up “Sharon” and “Shannon” so I understand). When I called to straighten it out, they were VERY apologetic and remade it. I decided to pick it up myself so as to avoid confusion. When I got there, it turns out they added to my order to make up for it! They DOUBLED the amount of brisket I ordered, added a big container of corn pudding (never tried, now love, will order next time!), a big container of peach cobbler, a slice of cake, and they upgraded my sweet tea to a whole gallon of the delicious stuff! Did I mention they also gave me coupons? 300000x satisfied with my experience! They went several extra miles to make up for the mistake and ensured that I am a loyal customer for life!! ❤️❤️
Food is great and service pretty good I think it was the manager or owner brought us a bottle of the swine wine after the cashier said they were out he stepped up and made it a perfect experience thanks again
The food was decent. However the exhaust system must not have been working properly as the smoke was awful. My clothes smelt so bad ruined my hair and destroyed my coat. If you eat inside please be aware that youll smell like you were in a smoker yourself.
Great bbq meats and decent prices. Got the sampler which included brisket, shredded pork, chicken, sausage and two sides with texas toast. The wife and I shared it and still brought left overs home! Topped it off with a Shiner Bock. Tried four different sauces. All good!
Great smokey brisket! The brisket sandwich is very meaty and full of flavor and worth your money. The sides of baked beans and green beans were also good. The only drawback of the meal was that the brisket was a little too salty by itself but i cut some of the salt by adding sweet barbecue ssuce on the brisket.
Just ordered the judges sampler! SO delicious!!! The food yall make is always great, best bbq Ive had, thank you guys!! Going to have leftovers for tomorrow which is even better.
Pulled pork doesnt taste smoked. Is bland without sauce. Ive tried this place twice,and even though they have a big oven in the back, the place just does not smell like a barbecue place. The ribs were decent, however
We spent over 100 dollars on dinner for 7 people. First the girl came out to report that they were out of cornbread, so we had to replace it with fries. She went back in and took a additional 15 minutes to bring out our food to curbside pick up. We got home and we were missing the meat part of the order, 1 sandwich, and 2 pieces of cake. We tried calling back but no one answered. We decided to go back to the restaurant. When we got there the place was busy, and the young man up front, which was the only one that seemed like they had any customer service skills, was who took care of us. He told the manager what we were missing, and she litterally yelled at him, seeming very angry. This manager should be fired. We finally got our food, after waiting total of over a hour. The manager was not apologetic, and gave us a coupon for what they messed up. I havent had problems here in the past, but this is one of those experiences that will make the next decision to eat elswhere next time.
City BBQ is always on point. All smoked meats are excellent except for the sausage. It lacks flavor really... Seasonal tacos are good. Fries, vinegar slaw and pretty much all sides deliver as expected. Potato Salad needs mustard and pepper... Great sauce selection and Tea/Lemonade. Swine wine is fine. Always a good time.

Great Customer Service. We had the family meal. The Corn Pudding is the best side dish. This meal comes with Ribs , Chicken, Pulled Pork an Pulled Brisket. Also comes with toast an cornbread. The whole meal was very delicious. Thank You.
Staying in the area for a little personal retreat. Was happy to see one of my favorite BBQ chains super close by. Went on a Saturday around 515pm. It was busy but no line when I arrived. By the time I got my food, the line was long. So get there before 530. Brisket had the right amount of marbling to make it tender and flavorful. They have really good sides and a great variety of sauces. I like heat so it was the Brush Fire sauce for my brisket and for my sides the Piedmont sauce which is spicy and vinegar based. The decor inside is cool. Staff wasnt overly friendly but professional. Im here a few more days. Most likely will eat here again.
I usually love City Barbeque but this visit was slightly off. Full disclosure, we went at the height of lunch hour. I ordered the brisket sandwich, sweet potato casserole and creamy coleslaw. The cole slaw was very good as usual. The brisket sandwich was bland/flavorless. The sweet potato casserole was tepid and had little seasoning (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla etc). I will not order the sweet potato casserole again. I would and will order the brisket again as it is usually very good. The service was more efficient than friendly this visit.
City BBQ @ VOA - Whole family (11) went for BBQ. The half rack of ribs were tender and delicious. Several sauces available and I found three that were excellent. The manager was very helpful, he moved several tables to accommodate us and he brought my granddaughter some apple sauce when she got fussy while we were waiting for our food. I recommend you stop and try it for yourself. You wont be disappointed. This was a very enjoyable meal.
Ordered pick up service and the quality of the food was excellent as per usual. I look forward to when the dinning area can be fully opened again until then mask and social distancing consistently with N95 mask covering both your nose and mouth, sneeze in your elbow, wash your hands with soap and water (rinse well with tepid water), etc. The food is all excellent including bbq beef brisket, bbqd pulled pork or bbqd chicken and more. Nice choices of beverages also.
My family had an amazing experience at this City BBQ location the other day. Not only was the staff helpful, and the food delicious, but Mike (the ambassador) was wonderful! Our one year old son was enamored with Mike’s silly Santa hat during our visit. Noticing this, Mike made it a point to engage with our son and bring a smile to his face during our meal. Before we left, Mike gifted our little guy the very hat he couldn’t take his eyes off of. He didn’t need to do this, but his act of kindness made our day and made us City BBQ customers for life!
Really good, their sausage has a really good peppered flavor and their ribs are good when you dont get the really fatty cuts. Last time I went my ribs were nearly all fat ,cut right at the end of the rib bone and I barely had any actually meat to eat. Ive also had that issue with the brisket before as well. Aside from the occasional slab of fat instead of meat, theyre very good.

Consistently good BBQ, always quick and complete. I was there for Veterans day but they honor Vets everyday.
This chain has great food, but this location on this particular Saturday was crazy. It was really busy and they dont have a ticket management system. So, a dozen people are crowding around the counter waiting to hear who got the beef brisket...?. It took over 45 minutes to get our food (which is long for this restaurant), and the sides were cold when we finally did. Staff is mostly nice. We received an eye roll when we asked for a side of ranch sauce though.

This is a chain style BBQ place. You order as you enter and then sit and wait for your order. This was the 1st issue. They just call out what you ordered. If they gave you an order number I believe this process would be greatly improved. My party ordered a variety of things off the menu. The pulled pork was dry and lacked any flavor. The ribs were tasteful and brisket as well. The portions were plentiful for the price. So are the sides. At busy times it can be difficult to find a seat if your party is more than a few. Overall not a bad place. Some hits and misses.

We have been here over 2 years and this is our first time and I must say its so good. The smell when you first walk in is so welcoming. I grew up in GA and m husband free up in NC and it brought back the smells and flavors of home. So good!! Well be back!!!
My wife and I are new to the area. We saw City Barbeque and decided that we would try this. We both ordered the Lolo BBQ sandwich, a basket of fried pickles and a basket of hush puppies. I was told to pick it up in 15 minutes. They claimed to have lost my order, so it took twice as long. We did NOT get the lolo sandwich, we got the plain BBQ sandwich. That said, the flavours were wonderful. I would not order fried pickles to go, as they were quite soggy, and the breading was falling off. Again, they tasted great, just not what we expected.Had my order been right, and on time, I would have gladly given 5 stars. The food tasted great. BUT, they lost my order, but then fixed it up for me when I got there, and I did not have to tell them what I ordered. Hmm... Plus, they charged me for a sandwich that was more expensive, and gave me lesser product, even though the sandwiches had the name of the sandwiches I ordered, written on the wrapper.The food had wonderful flavours. I would recommend NOT ordering ahead, and going in to order onsite, so you can make sure they do not screw it up.

First let me start with the food is amazing. However they can not get the order right ever. Had my wedding catered on the 4th of July asked for pickles 4 times. I spent 160 I just wanted pickles. The order I had before that to go no pickles a 30 order no pickles and they left out a side. So they gave me a $5.00 credit that didn’t help because my daughter will only eat the sides. Then today had a pick up order o called and requested pickles even put it on the online app. This time I couldn’t eat because I had no Barbq sauce and no pickles. This is at the West Chester store. It’s extremely frustrating because there food is so good.
Always a great experience, excellent food, and a fun friendly environment. Stopped in tonight and it was no exception. Nicole was wonderful she always has a smile and is such a pleasure to be around. The helpful older gentleman in the dining area was nice too. He interacted well with my kids and they sure do love him. He is their grandfather afterall!! I may be biased as his daughter but he loves his job and is great with the customers!
Mike McIntyre is fabulous!! He is one of the main reasons we come to city BBQ and this location. He has always been friendly from day 1 and makes sure that we have everything we need for a great experience.
PPE and social distancing were observed. Went in for a side of Mac and cheese with ONE rib. As usual the food was excellent, the atmosphere was pure BBQ joint and everyone was was friendly and helpful. My favorite smokehouse restaurant. Thumbs High. 👍
The pork sandwich was big. Meat was nice and tender. I didnt like how mushy the bottom piece of Texas toast for the sandwich got but thats because the meat was very moist which is what you want so its a hard problem to solve.I didnt like the sauces very much. They all sorta tasted the same. I couldnt tell much different between the sweet and original. The Hot sauce was the best one but it was pretty spicy so beware.

Since moving back a couple of months ago, have been back City Barbeque multiple times. I love the brisket, pulled pork and ribs, but especially the corn pudding side!

Luckily with its close proximity to Carters and having the it be downwind it was easy to convince my wife we need to go have lunch there! The More Cowbell was a pleasant surprise to see. I was not disappointed! This location is always clean and nice and the staff is amazing every time! Hopefully my next visit wont be as long in between as this last one!
Thankfully didnt choke on the bones in my pulled chicken. Sandwich was good besides that, as was the gumbo... but CHEW WITH CAUTION.

Nice staff, but very frustrating experience this evening. I utilized the online app and made payment at around 5:30 PM for a 6:45 PM pickup. Arrived at 6:50 PM to give them a few extra minutes to make sure the order was prepared upon arrival. When I arrived a long line greeted me of customers who allegedly ordered ahead but did not pay. Long story short it took 20 plus minutes to get my food. No real apologies for the wait and no offer of coupons or discount for inconvenience. City BBQ tell me what is the point of ordering ahead and paying when I could have gotten faster service if I just walked in off the street.
My husband and I are City BBQ regulars. All staff members are super nice but as soon as we walk in, the first thing we check for is if Mike the Ambassador is there. He ensures a great experience everytime, makes sure the restaurant is kept super clean, checks in on all of the customers and puts a personal touch to your dining experience! Theres no doubt that city BBQ has the best tasting q in town, but hes the main reason we keep coming back and dont even think about the next bbq place in town. The food was great! We had a very large group because some family came in from out of town and there was plenty of room for all of us and they didnt care how long we stayed and the manager even came out and helped the kids draw. It was absolutely great.

Excellent BBQ! The sausage is from another planet! The pulled pork was very, very good. When I requested burnt ends they GAVE me some beef bark. It was easily the best thing I ate. My wife and I have a strict policy of not eating at national chains when we travel, we were very happy that policy led us here. The young man who greeted us took a lot of time explaining things and have us a couple of samples. TOP NOTCH!!Minor complaint, the restaurant is very smokey from the food smoker, not cigarettes. It is a little overwhelming. But it would not stop me from returning.

I ordered a party pack for my team at work. It went over really well. It was a huge amount of food for the price. Everyone was thoroughly satisfied.City BBQ is one of the best options when you need a lot of food on short notice. I cant forget to mention the awesome service. Not good Pulled pork is fatty..Smoked Sausage didnt have a smoked taste.Sides are extra cost and the fries where to salty.I dont know if he was the owner but he kept walking around looking at his watch.
Seems like the management has changed? Pickles and onions were almost out. Sauce station bottles were sticky and of varying levels of fullness. Silverware was horribly water-stained (which looks dirty) and no matter how much I buffed it with paper towel, it wouldnt clean up. All diners in our party experienced this with the silverware. Perhaps its time to invest in a new inventory? No manager ever stopped by our table. Definitely a different environment and experience from our past visits.
Food was delicious!! Yum yum!! It was worth the wait. People was coming in there like there wasnt no where else to go. Plenty for the money.
5 stars for service and amazing potato salad.Ordered a pick up order. There was some miscommunication on what the sides were supposed to be; the woman at the register just gave me the extra sides (and I never complain about free food) along with my correct sides. Great service.The meat is always delicious. My favorite is Lolo’s Pulled Pork with Extra Bark and a side of potato salad.
Solid barbeque. Everything is consistent which can be rare. One of my favorite places for brisket around the city. All of the sides are great but the mac n cheese is bland and dry. Awesome deal for large parties and catering.
We visited about 2:30pm. It was our first and LAST time! The silverware was dirty and we had a hard time finding any clean enough to eat from. Ribs were tough and difficult to cut like they were left over from lunch. I left over half of the half slab as it was not edible. Presentation was bad. Husbands sandwich was not on a plate; just the tray and paper. No one ever checked with our table to see if everything was satisfactory. Did not get a receipt either. To top it off, the seat was dirty and I stained the pants I was wearing. Overall, a very bad experience!
My slab of rib was like rubber I could not believe that they actually sold it. I ended up putting it in my crock pot w/ water to re- cook it. My very last rib from there. I was shocked!!!!
Had the Sampler Platter...excellent.Also Catfish Dinner.....excellentSides, dessert, atmosphere, service....excellent.But the 1/4 chicken on the platter was taken home and discovered it was way undercooked.I will definitely return, but you MUST get the chicken done...this review was a 5 until that.The 3 of us at the Restaurant were pleased. The teenage boy at home was NOT.
Young lady who took our order was nice. Gave us a banana pudding with our purchase since they had extra. Food was solid to really good. Nice smokey chicken, ribs center pieces were juicy. Judges sampler was well worth it. Warm bbq sauce and fixings bar are a nice touch. Negatives are flies and messy bbq bottles at the table. Minus that wouldve been 5 stars.
Call Center was prompt. They took my order and payment.I got to pick it up and there was no pork, which I had specifically asked while on the phone with the lady taking the call.Shane Kenyon took care of us and quickly remedied the situation. He’s a real pro. Highly recommend his establishment.The call center may require some attention.
I had been to a different location of City BBQ before and really liked it. But this location is not their best. Overall the food was good. We really liked the corn pudding but the meats were dry. I just wish it were as good as the first time.

Absolutely loved this place!! This was the first time my family and I went there and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was beyond this world! My daughter spilt her milk on the floor and as I was cleaning it up the manager stepped in and finished. He also got us anything we may have needed at the table, and was just overall super helpful and kind. On top of all that, it was kids night, so my kids got to eat for free and they had a little pinatã activity for the kids. Such a great atmosphere and the signs on the wall were great!
Mike hands down is the best person at this place! He was super friendly and nice. He made my experience there enjoyable, he would come and make sure the food and service was good. He talked to my daughter gave her high fives. It just gave us the best experience. He will be the only reason I will go back!!! And the food was amazing

Nice place for families to go, the food is very good and the portions are big. You will leave with a full belly. Not a big fan of work while dining. Have to pick up your food tray and bus your own table, fill your own drinks. 12$ was also a bit steep as well for a meal with a cup of water. That said the brisket is outta sight as well as the sides. A Bbq fan would love this place.

I wish we had a City Barbeque in Cleveland! The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and you get plenty to eat. Lots of variety (I love corn pudding and theirs is the best), a variety of meats, and drinks. We go there every time we visit Hamilton. Great place to eat if you love barbeque (even if you dont!)
I love City BBQ and take all of my out of town visitors there. They have all loved the food and have asked to go there on their next visit to the area. My kids love the food there as well. My favorite (by far) is the brisket, followed by the ribs. Their salad is always fresh and the blue cheese dressing actually has blue cheese.
Outstanding service throughout the pandemic and nothing but the best quality food. The dinning room host is very focused on service and a great dining experience.

Best place in the area for BBQ! The brisket is always smoked well, and you cant go wrong with the pulled pork. Mac and cheese and hush puppies are favorites for sides. Tried the turkey on the most recent trip and it was really tasty as well.
The food is always very good but the dine in experience is currently less than stellar, seating is limited due to social distancing and most of the tables that would be available are covered with carryout bags and go orders. Hopefully things get back to normal.
My wife and I go almost every week. Food portions are generous. Food is great and consistently good. Staff is always friendly, and service is quick. When we dine in the restaurant is clean, and has a good family atmosphere.
Cannot say anything for their catering. They keep removing items off of their menu and bringing them back. It is frustrating to eat here if you like their gumbo because who knows if they will even have it. Go on rib day. Its a great deal. I think it is Tuesday but could be Thursday. I cannot be bothered to Google it 😋
The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ready in less then 3 mins. I had the turkey, it was tender and juicy and the sides were amazing. The restaurant was clean and the lively, I will be back.
Nice atmosphere, great food and service. This is a barbecue place where you pick your meat (I got pulled pork) and then you put on the barbecue sauce yourself. This place is family friendly with a kids menu, highchairs, changing station for babies and plenty of seating options (large booths or table and chairs). If you are in the area I recommend City Barbeque!

Ok it stated out with me ordering online for my brothers birthday. We ordered a party pack and a few other things. I guess I should of checked my order before I left but I was in a hurry to get to my brothers party. I get home and just as Im taking my shoes off to relax and my mom is yelling at me because there is no BBQ sauce. So now shoes are back on and heading back to get the sauces. The ladies were very nice and got me my sauces and a few containers of pickles. I get home and slow walked in like a hero with the prize BBQ sauce. My mother is giving me a look that could kill. Why didnt you pick up your phone!!..... Well it seems BBQ city also forgot a pint of slaw and a part and half of collar greens. I told everyone they were going to live without the sides. I later called and spoke to a manager she gave us a refund on the missing items and gave me a coupon for another party pack. Everyone was very nice it was just a very big hassle.
I was on my way to eat at City Barbecue in West Chester Ohio at VOA. When I noticed an older man having trouble standing so I sent my daughter in to get a chair. When she returned one of the employees was with her Diana Moon. This employee is an outstanding lady. She paid for mine and my daughters lunch. Diana Moon also helped us get the older man into his car. We had no idea that she was gonna take care of out order until I tried to pay. The cashier told us that our order was taken care of. Diana Moon is a reason that I will come back and eat here. Not only is she a very good person she showed us what good employees are supposed to do. She really did go above and beyond the expectations.
Amazing food! We tried a bit of nearly everything. We ate brisket (good bark & tender), pulled chicken & pork (fluffy & moist), sausage (perfectly seasoned & good snap as you bite), cukes & onions (that sweet seasoned vinegar is magical), baked beans (best ever!), and buttery texas toast. I prefer their Sweet City Sauce, while my husband greatly enjoyed their Bourbon Sauce & Peach Habanero.
I love to stop and eat here every chance I get. Whats there not to love at a place that serves fresh smoked food. They have a good variety of bbq sauces and you need to try them all. I love the vinegar sauce on my fries kind of spicy and has a little kick to it.Anyhow if your near City BBQ you need to stop and get your bbq fix on.
The weekend cooks are much better than the food during the week. Sometimes the food tastes old but overall great brisket. Peach cobbler is hit or miss. Again you can tell when different cooks prepared the food.

Had trouble placing our online order with a gift card. Called the west Chester city bbq and was on hold over 10 minutes and never talked to a single person. Someone could have picked up and just let me know there would be a wait. But that didn’t happen. We had a pretty big order we were ready to place but they lost our business.
Went out for my birthday and the staff is soo friendly and fast it was crowded but Mike the ambassador greeted me and got to talking about my watch (invita) for 70 years old not only does he look and move like hes younger hes just the perfect fit for a family establishment made me and my wife feel like were family and have known him forever... Will be returning
Good food good price. Normally plenty of seating accepted high traffic times. They have a new item on the menu for a limited time called burnt ends which is really good. Add to that some baked beans and it is really yummy yummy
We ordered over $100 worth of food from here a couple of weekends ago through door dash and the doordash driver disappeared with our food. Didnt try to reach out or anything. Resturant confirmed they picked it up. We were having my husbands birthday dinner and the closest City Barbeque was Voice of America. We were trying to save time by using door dash. After an hour after the dasher picked up our food, he didnt show up and then we get a text message that our order had been canceled. He didnt try to call us or anything so he took off with over $100 worth of food. I called City Barbeque to see what was going on. They said they didnt trust door dash to deliver it again and offered to make this large meal for us again if we came to pick it up. We drove 25 minutes after having waited an hour already. (Door Dashss fault). We get there and the line was out the door. Dillon at the Tylersville location took care of us. He went above and beyond!!! We will be customers for life because of the amazing service they gave us because of a third party screw up. Its rare to find such good service these day but Dillon was awesome!!!
Most bang for your buck when it comes to BBQ. The food is to die for and it wont break your wallet. All meals range from $8- about $14. Tons of different BBQ sauce to choose from. Also, if you have a large gathering, they cater as well!
Visited location in blue ash. Chicken 2 pc was good. Took it to go. Ordered sides potato salad and jack mac n cheese, banana pudding for a picnic on river. Everything was delicious.
Very enjoyable experience with tasting the food options for catering and Hillary was awesome with everything from giving us the catering info to her opinions on what we can do. If we do go with City Barbecue for our wedding we will be asking for her to cater our wedding.

It was good enough for the price! The customer service was good and our food was ready fast. It was fairly clean, which is something I look at walking into any restaurant, as I believe it to be a reflection on how clean or dirty the kitchen is, thus what our food is being prepared in and around. I will go again :) .
Long time city BBQ fan, first time at this location, and no complaints. They were pretty busy, thats mostly from the location though, but very helpful, and nice, and still appeared clean, and the employees all looked smiley and happy to have you come in.
City Barbecue is just about my favorite restaurant. I love the sauces and the sidesI have never tried a different side I did not like.They give you such generous portions. Every time I go to UC Health I take the opportunity to visit City Barbecue.
Clean, fun environment in a great location. This is a quality BBQ restaurant that seems to use great ingredients and high grade meat. The service has always been notably courteous and fast. Its always a treat to come alone for lunch or dinner with a big group.
Nice location, and they seem to hire/train good people, always feel very accommodated. I like the setup of condiments and such here much better than other locations Ive been to, they really take care of you!

Great food! My wife and I shared one of the sampler platters and enjoyed all of the food. It was a nice, clean, peaceful environment with great food. We enjoyed our time and loved the good.

This has been our least favorite location within the Dayton-Cinci area. It was not as clean as other locations and the food was not prepared as well or as promptly (we had sent in an order several hours ahead via their website). Staff was pleasant.
One of our favorite bbq places around. Always greeted with a smile and a friendly face. Beer on ice is always a added plus. From the time you arrive and exit your vehicle the smell of a smoked bbq fills the air. Wether you are thinking pulled pork or brisket you cant go wrong. My favorite is the brisket and the green beans. Grandam would be proud. The various bbq sauce both cold and warm I might add, are not needed but always add that extra kick. What bbq would be complete without a sweet tea? Well they have it covered. Just like mom made! A+ my favorite go to for great bbq!

I usually love this place. I guess I should get in a better habit of checking my food before I leave...THEY MADE MY SANDWICH WRONG....and Im not driving back up there for them to correct..I will try them again...its just frustrating.

This is the best City Barbeque location. We have ate at many other City Barbeques and this one has the best food. The staff is friendly and they even bring the food out and take trash away.
Last night my wife and I came in at 8 for a late dinner. She ordered the chicken sandwich and it was pink like breast cancer awareness pink. I took it up to the desk because I wanted them to replace it and she said its how its cooked and I promise you its cooked. Well it wasnt. My wifes been sick all day from city BBQ. If I could give them 0 stars I would.NEVER eat the chicken or eat there in general because the worker lied to my face.

I travel all across America for work. Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, St louis, Kansas City have met their match. best brisket I have ever tried. the bark was amazing. chicken was a little dissapointing but was still in awe of how good the brisket and the pulled pork was. we will be eating here again the next day. Standing room only most of the time. Get in early and get the app if you may. Bbq is good quality and I probably stand to gain a few pounds when I pile on the sides. Expect some wait times if you dont get the app or carryout orders.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing price. The trifecta of BBQ. Pulled pork is mouthwatering, no bbq sauce needed. If you like bbq sauce and want it hot, try the brushfire sauce. OmGood!!! I have tried everything on the menu and there is nothing less than delicious. Sweet Tea is on point too! Corn pudding, baked beans, hush puppies, potatoe salad, chocolate cake to list a few menu items. They also have seasonal gumbo. You dont wanna miss that! It will be back in January. Try it, you wont be disappointed.
Ordered online, and although I was really late, food was still hot. Portions leave you with plenty of leftovers and food was seasoned well. Only thing I didnt care for was the mac and cheese and cobbler (too bready and thick), but overall good. Will be back....
Well I just ate there on a Sunday afternoon with my family and the meat portions were nice and big and very tasty. However, the moment I walked in I was stared at even while I ordered my food which was very uncomfortable, its as if they just allowed blacks to eat in public resturants. The side orders were large portions as well but need improvement when it comes to seasoning, they were either too sweet, sour, or spicy, but the cornbread corn was good, kinda hard to mess that up since there is no seasoning needed. Oh and I must not forget to mention the nats flying around our food made eating very uncomfortable when you constantly have to swipe around your plate. But if you like that country living with picnic tables that have food left on the seat area that stains your white shorts then this is the place for you. I would suggest getting the food to go, only the meat dishes and make your own sides.
The food was absolutely delicious but the experience was made that much more enjoyable by the friendly, helpful, awesome staff there. You wont be disappointed if you stop in here for a vite to eat.
My favorite ribs place moved so I tried city barbecue. WORST ribs Ive ever had. No flavor and tough, I mean you had to RIP them off the bone like an animal and it was an effort to chew them. After two ribs that was it. I always like to give a place a second chance but with the crappy service and the food it was my first and probably last time going there.
Doesnt stand up Elis pulled pork or Montgomery Inns ribs which I would say are both the best in Cincinnati but Ill still come here for a quick bite when I want BBQ. The BBQ and side selections are good and there are plenty of sauces to try. Good BBQ at a fair price.
Being a Texas native, I am very particular about my bbq & it doesnt get any than better than City Barbeque. As soon as you walk in the door youre greeted by a friendly staff who are eager to offer help & suggestions with the menu. The brisket is always cooked to perfection nice & moist with a wood flavor. I also enjoy the grilled chicken & turkey. I feel back at home with their corn pudding, Big Red, Lone Star & Shiner Bock beer.I personally feel what sets City Barbeque a part from other barbeque joints is Ambassador Mike. Ambassador Mike always stops by your table to say hello & ensures everything is to your satisfaction. Ambassador Mike just makes you feel like your at home.If you havent been to the City Barbeque West Chester location you dont know what youve been missing.XavierM
Worst city bbq I’ve ever had. Beans were old, ribs were tasteless and the brisket was 50 percent fat. I usually love this stuff but on this occasion it was the biggest waste of fifty- eight dollars I’ve ever spent.

Its like eating in an all-American antique restaurant that serves some good barbecue. Its nowhere near top tier, but for the availability, sauce, toast, sides, and pulled pork sandwich, City BBQ is where its at. The ribs, however, have been found to be jerky-tough on more than one occasion.

I never write reviews but my visit today was worth writing one. I decided to go here, one of my favorite restaurants, because I like their pulled pork sandwich. She puts my change on the counter, and puts the receipt IN my cup, which was just with my change before she handed it to me...trying to get me sick?? I ask for another cup, so she says you need 3 cups?? I said yes. She sticks HALF OF HER HAND IN my cup and hands it to me.. I dont want anyones fingers in my cup, especially after handling money. Next, we get our order, 2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 sides, like usual. When we got our food, one sandwich was about half the size of the other. I said something about it and the lady says you got the lunch meal, the sandwich is 1/4lb instead of 1/2lb. Ok, I didnt say lunch meal, I ordered 2 sides separate from the sandwiches. Pretty sure I didnt order something I didnt know you had. So anyways, she turns around to lady who makes the sandwiches and says loudly and impatiently he got the lunch meal and wants a bigger sandwich... No I didnt. To top it all off, she begins talking about us to another employee and start laughing while looking over at us, the employee that she was talking to even looked around the corner to get a look at us? I liked this restaurant and came here often with a few friends and planned on bringing family in to try it out for lunch sometime. Youd think couple women in their 30s should have a little better customer service.. Good food but this experience was so bad it ruined the meal.I would love a response from the owner.
The people at this location are OUTSTANDING!!! They go above and beyond to make sure your food & service is done right! My family greatly appreciates the Wonderful Effort you guys made to make sure we had EVERYTHINGS we needed to serve family after the loss of my grandson!! Food is DELICIOUS! A little over-priced for the portion sizes but the combination of quick, efficient service(without feeling rushed) and friendly atmosphere with minimal wait for how busy they normally are can definitely be overlooked! Absolutely the best BBQ restaurant in the area.

The staff is great, the food is always excellent, and everyone who works here takes pride in what they do. An example is Danielle, who even makes the effort to remember the names of frequent customers like me. 2022-05-24We were attended our Granddaughter High School Graduation in West Chester. Went out for a lunch for new that night was going to be long. All the food top notch, very good quality and eating area very clean! You will enjoy anything from the menu!

2022-03-22My family and I absolutely love this place. I usually get turkey by the pound because it tastes delicious with their sauce. The service is fast and the lady running the order window was extremely nice. I have nothing but good things to say. We will be back soon!

2021-06-08Absolutely excellent barbecue place. Quality of food is very high (many of the items appear to be made in house) and the prices are reasonable.Ive not tried a meat there that I didnt like. One standout to me is always the peach cobbler with whipped creme.

2022-04-30You cannot beat the food quality or the price for it. I am picky too when it comes to pulled pork and this place has never served me a piece of fatty pulled pork....I check...lol. Their pulled pork sandwiches are delicious as is their cornbread and home made style fries. All of this for $11.

2022-04-23Impressive little restaurant tucked away in the strip of stores located next to Voice of America. I got the salad with smoked chicken and it was really good. Very impressed with the amount of chicken they gave in a separate dish to go on the salad.

Whether you prefer pulled pork, brisket, chicken, or turkey, City has it and they know how to make it just right! I’ve had barbecue from Texas to Kansas City, Memphis to the Carolinas, and this place is inspired from all of them. Five signature sauces will sate your tastebuds if that’s your preference, OR you can eat the tender, juicy barbecue without sauce and it’s still top notch! Sides are also well done. I could go on and on, but I’m hungry and gotta get some more!
