Now that I received my deposit back I feel safe telling the truth of this place. In short, be careful when renting from Cincy Rents. They are in it to make money, not care about their residents. They will find a million ways to charge you for tasks that should not be on their residents. Like replacing an air filter in the AC unit. Or paying for a steam cleaner to clean the carpet before you leave. And not to mention they are the least attentive people ever dealt with. Little to no consideration when speaking with them, never answering questions directly and ending conversations before concerns were completely addressed. In all, I didnt get a good vibe from these rude people. Something about the way they run their business concerns me when they have the lives of people in their impetuous control.
I would rate this business as a zero star business if I could. I became a new tenant of this rental agency in November 2020. I’ve had issues with the air window units upon my move in here. I made Cincy Rents, Misty Sanders, aware of the issue upon my move in and this past June 2021.Trying to get the issue resolved with the property manager has been a hassle which it SHOULD NOT be. After sending a certified letter in July 2021 to the office in regards to the issue, the problem has finally been resolved.I do not feel valued as an occupant/tenant of Cincy Rents because of how long/tedious the process was. Management comes off as if they only care about money, not the tenant and wants to hold the tenant responsible for everything. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will NOT do business with Cincy Rents in the future.I would highly, highly NOT RECOMMEND renting from this agency.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. As another reviewer stated, now that I have part of my deposit check back, I can hopefully prevent other renters from making the same mistake I did two years ago. My roommate and I had over half of our security deposit deducted for a cleaning fee after my family and I had cleaned the apartment and had the carpets shampooed. Additionally we had a fee deducted for a broken microwave door that was fully functional at the time of move out and never had any issues. They claimed the door didnt line up properly and deducted hundreds of dollars for what was probably a $35 microwave at best. They refused to show me receipts of the prices and companies used to fix these non existent issues. In the two year I lived there, we experienced an issue with the hot water, broken heater, broken dishwasher (which when installing the new one took a chunk out of the side of our wall), and broken air conditioning this past summer. The apartment was on the third floor and got to be over 90 degrees to which I had to go stay with a friend, because it was unbearable. For the two weeks I had to stay elsewhere, I was not compensated in rent reimbursement, and they claimed the window units they installed weeks later were compensation. During all this time without repair, they continued to ask to show my apartment, showed up without warning, and turned my fan on while I wasnt home, adding to my utility bill. After dealing with all of these issues, their rude and inattentive attitudes every phone call, days on end of not being in touch about maintenance, and finally, their false accusations about damage to the apartment, I hope that no one makes the same mistake I did. The respect, integrity, and empathy of this staff are evidently lacking.
This is the most unprofessional establishment Ive ever had to deal with as far as renting apartments out. From false accusations to arguing on the phone and being lied to I mean it was the worst property management Ive ever had to deal with.Oh! and speaking about unprofessional? I was reading other ppls testimonies with this company n noticed that Cincy rents actually replied and put that girls business out there with her application like that...... lol smh unprofessional
Renter Beware!! This company is hard to deal with regarding any matter at all. They have zero respect for the renter and their only purpose is to appease the owner of the property with little regard for the renter. They will find a way to keep your deposit, no matter how hard you try to meet their standards and requirements.

2020-09-03I am new to real estate. That being said, my Father was in property investing for years and suggested I do the same. I had contacted several other property management companies and chose Cincy Rents. I met with Misty and she led me through the entire process. She covered everything from start to finish. Thank you Cincy Rents!

2020-09-03I own 3 multi-family apartment buildings in the Hyde Park area. I travel quite often, and cant always tend to my properties as much as needed. I started working with Cincy Rents and I am so happy with the work they are doing for me. The greatest thing we can be rewarded with is more time. With Cincy Rents in my corner i have just that..more time. They have handled everyting from finding the renters to any maintenance issues that have arose. Misty and Craig are a class act from start to finish. Looking forward to increasing my real estate investments!

2020-03-02These folks are terrific. When I moved from my house in Anderson to an apartment downtown, I decided I wanted to keep the house and rent it out. But I didnt want to hassle with managing it, so I called Cincy Rents. They did a great job taking care of some deferred maintenance that needed to be done before renting the house, found a tenant at a higher rent than I expected, and have kept me informed while handling everything since then. Lora and Misty have been super-responsive answering my questions. Cincy Rents has really earned my trust!

2019-08-29I was super happy with my experience with Cincy Rents as a home owner and potential renter. From the time I contacted Cincy Rents to understand their management process, until we found renters and closed on our house I had a high level of touch and communication from my Cincy Rents contacts. I was extremely pleased with the explanation of the process, as well as getting a clear understanding of things that I needed to do to prepare my house for the market. I was surprised that within the list, the agents shared with me must haves vs. nice to haves vs. you will need to think about this in the future. When I moved out and Cincy Rents took over, I was again impressed at the care and detail they put into helping me get the house in pristine condition. I was always regularly contacted on progress, and shown pictures of work. When it came to screening, I appreciated that I had the ultimate choice on potential renters, but that they provided clear guidance so that we could find the best renters for our home. In short, I really feel like Cincy Rents valued my home the way we value our home. We couldnt have asked for better partners.

2018-06-14Cincy Rents came highly recommended from a couple of friends, and in my first month in one of their properties I have not been disappointed. I had a few initial maintenance requests that were handled promptly, and the service tech they sent over could not have been more personable.Happy with my choice to rent from them, and look forward to sticking around!

2018-08-29They deserve a “0 Star”. Our experience with Cincy Rents was very frustrating. It is really hard to deal with this company. The property manager, Misty Sanders was rude, disrespectful and impolite and the business manager, Lora was not responsible to emails and phone calls!I strongly believe some people in this company must change their attitude! They need to hire well educated, trained and professional people who have better communication skills and can take care of their customers. I am very glad that I have canceled my contract!

2019-02-28Weve been renting for almost a year. Weve had a couple of issues with the rental (typical house maintenance issues, drippy faucet etc). Cincy Rents were extremely responsive after my call (1-2 days, none were true emergencies) and resolved every problem promptly and professionally. Communication has been excellent, emails responded typically within same day. We are very pleased and highly recommend this company. Thank you!

2015-02-08Ive worked with Cincy Rents as a contractor for a couple years and had nothing but positive experiences. Everyone there is very professional and nice people. Ive observed that they really care about their properties as well as keeping their tenants happy. Laura in the office is always very helpful and knowledgeable at what she does. Ted in maintenance is great at what he does as well and works very hard to keep everyone happy and make sure everything works as it should. If I ever found myself in a position I needed to rent in the area or have a property managed for me I would certainly choose Cincy Rents!

2018-05-18I think Cincy Rents is an amazing company. My telephone calls and emails were always answered promptly. The staff has always been professional and courteous. I am shocked to hear the comments of others calling the staff rude, this is unbelievable. I not one to write reviews on companies, but I had to come to their defense.
