Cincinnati Eye Institute in other cities:
Came in earlier this year for a well-overdue exam & some new glasses. Exam was quick and professional, I was in and out after a few minutes with my updated prescription. Picking out glasses took a bit longer (there were so many choices!), but the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, and helped me pick out the right pair - its been a few months, and Im still getting compliments on them. Would definitely recommend Apex... only doctor visit Ive been to in ages that got me in & out in under an hour! 👓👍
Apex Eye Galbraith Rd Kenwood. Dr. K lugo and her staff are the most sweeties people, theyre very professional, polite and helpful when asked question about your visit. Dr. Klugo is amazingly WONDERFUL! Go check her out for your next eye exam. I promise you wont regret your change. She has a wide variety of stylish eyewear one stop shop.
Basically felt these people were more interested in collecting money than anything else. First never had to pay for services before they were rendered. I scheduled an appt with Dr Reid for a specific reason and I had to tell him at the end of the appt because I guess he did not read my file. Just felt very dismissed esp when a Dr whom I have never met walks into the room does not introduce himself and just says hi. Very disappointed and definitely will not be back. Hopefully the prescription I was given will be the right one.......Oh and I was never given a receipt at the end of the appt. And the 2 ladies behind the desk were grumpy.
I hadnt been to the eye doctor in over 15 years and informed both the lady i scheduled my appointment with, the receptionist who checked me in, AND the tech who did my exam ( not sure the actual title) of this. I was not told i would have my eyes dialated or that it may be a good idea to have someone accompany me to drive. As i checked out, the receptionist only said, Do you have sunglasses? If not, youre going to have a massive headache! So after a very blurry, scary and strenuous drive to my home 20 minutes away, I said a prayer to God I made it home!!! Not a pleasant experience by ANY means

2022-02-12Best eye care anywhere in Cincinnati and likely beyond. Fantastic knowledgeable and caring staff and Doctors. My family physician recommended the to me 6 years ago (Apex Eye) and I have never felt more confident in my eye care.

2022-03-06Doctor Klugo is better than the best. Since my surgery for cataracts, I can see things that I missed before. The bad news is that I don’t look like my high school yearbook picture anymore.

2022-04-08Dr Reid is a very caring doctor who will spend the time and answer all of your questions. I’ve had this eye doctor for many years and trust his judgment very much.

2021-11-18Dr. Klugo and her staff were fantastic, I also highly recommend her optician as well. I felt at ease and never doubted that she took my concerns seriously and she has a wonderful bedside manner. A win all the way around.

2021-04-08One big ripoff. My daughter and I had an appointment in late November. I asked when calling if they took my eye insurance Anthem and they said yes. My daughter was on my policy. I came first and was told it would be $60 and an additional $60 if I wanted a prescription for glasses. I told them I had insurance and usually only pay about $10 and dont have to pay extra. They ignored that and told me to pay and I told them I couldnt afford the extra $60. My daughter was 20 minutes later and they told her she owed $80 and she did get a prescription. Just got a bill in early April 2021 for $208 for my daughter thats on top of the $80 paid at the time of service. Total bill of $288 for an appt that said they takes our insurance. Called they told me the Dr doesnt take insurance. Do not go there its a total scam on what they will bill you

2020-12-30I have never left a review about anywhere but I was infuriated by the service here I felt it necessary. I wanted over 2 hours to be seen, once I was seen the doctors spent less than 5 minutes with me. Nothing was done to help my condition and I was told “you are young, just deal with it”. A doctor should care about their patients and that is not the case here. If you are looking for someone who wants to genuinely help you get better and have a better way of life this is not the place to go. I would give this place a -500 out of 10 if I could.

2017-04-28I have come here since Dr Klugo came to the practice, more than 10 or 12 years ago.. She is very knowledgeable, an exceptional physician, who is very interested in her patients. I feel like I have been in very good hands here. The receptionists are very welcoming and friendly as well as efficient.Mark, the optician, has been a rock. He is very good at what he does, and helps when I have any problem with my glasses. The prices are competitive for my very high range lenses, as well as frames. I always get a discount, because I am an in-house patient.

2021-04-08Biggest scam going. I had an appointment in late November 2020. I asked when calling if they took my eye insurance Anthem and they said yes. They told me I owed $80. I told them thats way higher than I usually pay for an eye appt. Just got a bill in early April 2021 for $208 thats on top of the $80 paid at the time of service. Total bill of $288 for an appt that said they takes our insurance. Called they told me the Dr doesnt take insurance. Do not go there its a total scam on what they will bill you. When we went to get our glasses at Target I told them about what I had to pay at the Apex. They said let me run your insurance and Ill tell you what your co pay is. It was $10. We were plain and simply ripped off. I would never go back.
