Cincinnati Dental Services - Landen in other cities:
My husband and I have both had appointments scheduled where we got confirmation emails and texts and confirmed the appointment only to have them tell us we don’t have any appointments scheduled. This time we called and they said I had an appointment but my husband doesn’t and they would call us back after talking to their manager. We waited 2 hours then called again and this new receptionist said neither of us had an appointment but she would talk to her manager to get us scheduled then call us back, but never did. We waited another 2 hours and still no call back so we called again to see if they had gotten us our appointments back and they did not. I didn’t bother trying to make a new appointment we are switching dentists because I’m tired of the lack of reliability. One star is more than what they deserve.
This place needs to be removed from the aetna insurance system. The web site for this company lists tooth extraction. I called and asked them if they do tooth extractions. They said yes. Due to insurance i have to elect a dentist. I did this based on the need to have a tooth extracted. I then made an appointment for a tooth extraction. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A TOOTH EXTRACTION.I have a cardiac history and a joint replacement. I have cracked a tooth on a random fast food burger and have already had an infection that caused an er visit and 4k in bills and now my health care is delayed because of this company.Of cource they blame the call center. Really now did somone assign this call center to you? Did you not gave a say in what the call center says? What about the fraud listing on the aetna web site that you do extractions? Call center do that too?
OMG… I’ve never been to the Landen office but boy did they certainly screw me over. I’ve lived in Florida for the last 5 1/2 years. My adult (32 yr old) daughter went to Landen office for a cleaning back in April 2021. Somehow the Landen office decided to bill me in error at my old address in Milford. I used to go to the Milford office for dental services (awesome by the way). I never received any mail, phone call, text, email or any other attempt to actually locate me. The next thing I know, the bill is in collections and my credit score dropped 120 points this morning. When I called the Landen office, the girl didn’t take any responsibility for offices mistakes and instead said “it’s your daughter’s fault because she didn’t update her insurance with us”… mind my daughter has not been on my insurance for 8 years. She works full time as an accountancy and has her own insurance. I haven’t gone to any Cincinnati Dental office in 5 years. Anyway, absolutely terrible and incompetent folks on that office regarding billing and they are apparently clueless as to how to keep this from happening I guess again. I ‘m retired down in Florida minding my own business and my credit score takes a huge hit because they are incompetent.
Excellent dentist with wonderful bedside manner. Staff—very professional. Had very little discomfort. They are there to make this visit as easy as possible. Everyone knew their job and explained what would be done. Discharge instructions were the best I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend this office and glad I found them.
The hygienist and dentist were both very thorough, gentle, kind and knowledgeable. I have some complex medical issues which may cause dental problems. My providers took extra time to discuss my oral health in the context of my medical diagnoses. I don’t dread going to the dentist because I know I’m in good hands.
Their service is really bad!!! I checked in on time for my 3 oclock appointment today. Sat in the waiting room for 40 mins then I was told the doctor didnt know I was here. The front desk people are not doing what they are supposed to do. They even didnt apologize for their mistake. Dont come here.
I called for the appointment, took a couple of weeks to get in. I was in extreme pain and told this to the person taking the appointment. I made it clear I would need an extraction. After getting my x-rays was told there was not enough time to take the tooth out. Why did they not allow enough time to take out the tooth? So I have to wait another week of really bad pain to get it out. The dentist was great, super nice. It just seems they are packing her appointments which leaves her unable to really do her job.
Candice working the front desk was extremely incompetent and rude when it came to discussing my bill with her. She was not taking any responsibility for the offices mistake in not having updated records. I will never be back to this office and will strongly discourage anyone from visiting this office. Also, I do not think Candice should be working the telephones or with patients at all if she can not act professionally.
Zero stars if I could. I went in for pain due to an abscess tooth. I arrived on time, waited for 45 minutes as people who checked in after me were seen ahead of me. I saw the dentist, they took their photo of my tooth and said their was nothing they can do. A simple tooth extraction. So they referred me to an oral surgeon out of my insurances network...made absolutely no sense. Complete waste of time. This place is Terrible
Sadly, I always recommended your office to coworkers, but after today, I am not sure. Rebecca Foust, not my dental hygienist (honestly, I don’t know why we even had an interaction seeing as I wasn’t speaking to her at all and I was not her patient), not only spoke disrespectfully to me, she spoke disrespectfully about me to another customer. I have NEVER been spoken to in this manner, and to try to embarrass me in front of another customer is not only shocking, but also infuriating). As a patient (“not a customer” as Rebecca told me…pretty sure I pay for services, so I am a customer), I would like to think that your staff would treat patients (customers) with respect. The dentist actually came into the waiting room and told her to stop. It was embarrassing for me, but also for your other staff members and customers. There were multiple people in the waiting room, and—again—she spoke about me (while I was sitting there) to another customer. I will be calling your office manager when she returns from vacation. I sincerely hope that Rebecca is reprimanded for her absolute disregard for customer service; honestly, if an employee of mine spoke to a guest like that, I would consider it a fireable offense. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
I had some work done with this office and had issues with my insurance. This office never submitted the paper work to dispute it when they were given everything they needed and my account instead was sent to collection. Their follow up is awful!!! I kept getting “we are working on it” every time I called. I was told to disregard the bill I was getting because they were working on it and now my account is with a collection company. So frustrating! Never going back to this dental office ever again! If you’re looking for good service this is not your place!!!
Excellent care! The office staff, hygienists and dental assistants have all been very kind and knowledgeable. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Anthony Philips for 20 yrs and he’s great!. I’ve had my cleanings, xrays, fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions, and a partial plate. I’ve been completely satisfied with all procedures.
I had a dental emergency and my regular dentist wasnt available, so I called Cincinnati Dental in Landon and the nice gentleman on the phone was very compassionate and was able to get me scheduled for the foowing morning. Everyone from the front office staff was so friendly and compassionate, and efficient. Dr. Cornett was very friendly, and explained everything during the examination. Assistant Jennifer was very sweet, and knowledgeable. Thank you Cincinnati Dental Services.Thank you so much.
I was a first time patient here and am very satisfied. Erin was my hygienist and my dentist was Dr. Philips. I was long overdue for a cleaning and Erin did a wonderful job! I initially came here for a second opinion and am thankful I did! They saved me the $8100 that Aspen quoted me for what turned out to be unnecessary treatments.
The receptionist I spoke with was very nice however after coming in for my dental cleaning appointment, they said that I had to get xrays done in order to get my teeth cleaned, never mind that I thought I might be pregnant and had communicated this on the phone when setting up my new patient appointment. They then asked if I wanted to just double the protection for the xray. They refused to clean my teeth without an xray so I had to leave without getting my teeth cleaned. Unless Im unaware of some Ohio state regulation regarding new patients, this policy feels discriminatory and as though they are trying to find problems aka money, even though I assured them multiple times that my teeth are fine and I have zero pain. They refused to clean my teeth without having me get xrays done so I had to leave without receiving dental care.
Due to Covid I had to wait months for an appointment. I showed up for my appointment and the office was closed. I called and was told that they were upgrading their computer system. No one contacted me prior to my appointment to let me know. Horrible customer service!!
What a great experience at Cincinnati Dental Services! The staff is very professional and handled all my needs in a manner that made me feel like I was their most important customer. The local management, I cant comment on the regional staff (I have seen negative remarks), is incredible. Highly intelligent, professional, empathetic to your personal situation and very easy on the eyes. I would recommend this CDS office to anyone who has teeth.
I have had the best experience with my new dentist. I can’t say enough about him. I had 2 deep fillings with no pain and quickness . I had a back tooth filled in 45 minutes and out the door. I need a dentist who is efficient! They gave me a free food recipe calendar and free chapstick. It’s the little things!
I went to Cincinnati dental to put back an existing crown that had came off. This had been done in the past very efficiently by Dr Cornett. This time however, I had an awful experience. The dental hygienist (no fault on her part, complete lack of training) decided before any check up, that my crown that had came off was of no use. She was very inexperienced. A very bad reflection on Cincinnati Dental Services for letting an untrained employee work on a current patient with big issue of a very fragile tooth. Trying to shove the x-ray device in my mouth with a thin tooth without a crown was most scary and stressful. My tooth was intact that morning before I came for this appointment was now broken, upon examination by Dr Schwatz, They applied a temporary filling, with the help of the same untrained dental hygienist, a very bad call on part of doctor Schwartz. This experience has left me shaken.I wish I had waited for an appointment with Dr Cornett.
The hygienist whom I see, Heather, and my dentist, Dr. Phillips, are both excellent. I have been going to them for years because of the expert care which I receive. I would highly recommend both. The practice as a whole is also run very efficiently and in a friendly manner.
As a new client, I scheduled to have my teeth cleaned. I requested a specific hygienist due to a referral. I also explained that I already had exam and x-rays done, and another dentist insisted that I have a deep cleaning done prior to any work. I called the office, explained everything. Never once was I told that I or my insurance will be charged for the exam and how much. Upon arrival to the appointment I am getting informed that hygienist is not there. I was informed as a matter of fact, like it was not a big deal. People behind the desk were rude about it too. I had to make arrangements at work to leave early, which is a big deal so I was not happy about this. Front desk told me that hygienist and her Doctor had a day off scheduled. Imagine my surprise when I called to dispute the charge and office manager informed me that hygienist had a family emergency. Anyway, I emailed my x-rays that were recently done by another dentist. I get invited to the back by the hygienist who is telling me I need x-rays done. I told her I emailed them. She went and checked. She had x-rays done for free anyway. After examining my mouth for a very long time, she asked for Dentist to come in who also examined and insisted that I needed a deep clean done. After wasting few hours at the office, I go to the front desk. Again, I already told them before scheduling an appointment that my insurance already paid for exam and x-ray done at another dentist office and they wont pay again for another 6 months. Front desk does not tell me that I owe anything for a visit. After some time I get a statement from my insurance denying payment of $95. I called the office and being told not to worry about it. This is a charge to insurance only and my charge is less that that. I told her I think its fraud. Explained the situation again and asked a manager to call me. I get a call few days later (not by a manager) stating that the charge stays and dentist said not to remove it. After getting several bills in the amount of $95, I finally get a letter stating that if I dont pay off the balance it will go to collections. I call the office again and speak to the manager who reduced the charge to $53 and said she couldnt waive $53 since its a contract charge for an exam. I paid because I did not want my bill to go to collections. I am mad because 1) I was never informed that there was a charge for exam & how much 2) I specifically scheduled an appointment with a hygienist and office failed to inform me that that hygienist was off 3) please remember that your clients have jobs and some of us need to ask for unpaid time off which is very unpleasant. Due to failure in communication I respectfully ask for $53 credited to my credit card. Also, as a side note, please train your behind desk employees some customer service & communication skills and manners. I understand that you are in the business of making money but I last money due to wasting time in your office and not working. Also, you need to disclose any prices before any work is done PRIOR to the visit. If any of these were disclosed I would not be writing a negative review.
My first appointment with CDS Landen was great with no friction points in the scheduling process. Emily Grubb was the hygienist that I scheduled with and she did a wonderful job. Not only did she do an outstanding job cleaning my teeth, she was very personable and offered great conversation! I would highly recommend CDS in Landen and scheduling an appointment with Emily!
Cincinnati Dental Services on Columbia Road Landen wanted to charge me $6,100. to replace one tooth with a post/core and crown. This was before seeing a surgeon to take the original tooth out! This was the 3rd dentist I consulted. They were by far about $4,000 higher than anyone else to do the exact same work. Now I have a bill for the consultation. Check around people and dont go with the first quote. Theres quality people out there who wont rake you over the coals.
I have been going to Cincinnati Dental Services in Loveland for a couple of years now. They are courteous and kind. The office staff is kind and helpful; they answer my questions. The dentist does the drill and fills; the dental hygienist does the cleanings. I am happy with the service.
They were such a mess while transitioning to electronic heath records. I mean this is 2017 we are talking about. I filled out new patients forms online but they said they couldnt find them in the system. Then where does my social security number and protected health records go? They had new x-ray machines and they have to retake 5 times to get it right. And for the second machine, the person didnt even know how to turn it on. After the cleaning, they figured out how to turn it on but I noticed that theres teeth mark on the plastic wrap where Im supposed to bite. So I asked if they changed a new one, but they just ignored me and told me to stay still. That wrap smells. Not going back.
I love this practice not only for myself but my children. My middle child was afraid and went through five dentist she bit sadly. When we met with Connie Gawrych DDS. It was the first time my daughter wasn’t scared.Recently I took my 2yr old to my cleaning so she could watch and be introduced to the atmosphere. The hygenist were all so nice about talking to her while doing my cleaning and showin her what they were doing to mommy. She was so comfortable she even wanted to sit in the chair like the big girls when we were done. You won’t find a more caring patient staff. Thank you for all you do.
Going to the dentist for treatment is very scary for me as it is for anyone. Once I explained my situation I was told immediately what was going on with my teeth and received treatment for some relief to my pain. Then the doctor told me what further treatment I would need to correct the problem. I am not so scared now for next appointment.
This is the WORST place I have ever visited. Not only did I make an appointment and wait to be seen just to have a Dr. look in my mouth for 5 seconds and not be able to help me, but every month I receive a bill from them, and every month I have to call them to ask why the same bill from July STILL doesn’t not have my insurance applied. I get certain things free once per year... at this rate I won’t be able to get my annual exam at no cost because they can’t get their information correct. They have a copy of my insurance on file and I give them the information EVRYTIME I call in. Do yourself a favor... DO NOT get anything done through these people!!!

2022-08-03Outdated and no COVID protocols in place from what I saw. Called on a Monday about an emergency tooth extraction appointment. I was told they had availability the following morning. When I got to my appointment I received x-rays and was then told I would have to make a follow up appointment to do the actual extraction which wasnt until the next week. The doctor was gracious enough to be willing to stay after hours to do the extraction in the evening but instead I left and found another dentist that was able to do the tooth extraction same day and for less money. Really hoping they dont send me a bill for the x-rays considering the other dentist didnt need x-rays to know that the tooth needed to be pulled and no real services were rendered.

2022-05-26By far, the best experience going to the dentist! Most friendly staff all around. I went to a dentist office years ago that told me I had all of these cavities. I didn’t believe them so I went to Cincinnati Dental Services for a second opinion and they told me I had none. I trust that they aren’t just trying to make a buck off of me. I highly recommend!!!

2022-04-13I usually don’t provide reviews but since I was asked to review my experience, I am doing this. My family and I have been going to CDS for the last 2 decades. We have always had great experience. But we had a really bad experience recently. My son’s appointment was changed on the day of the appointment and I was not even informed. He was told about his change in appointment time when he arrived at the dental office. He had to miss a very important college class because of the failure on the part of CDS to communicate properly. His experience with the hygienist was great. What was more concerning was that the person I was discussing my concern had no patience, no concern and unapologetic. I hope they do a better job of communicating going forward.

2022-04-28Always prompt, friendly, and helpful every time Ive visited. I used to hate the dentist as a kid, but I cant see myself going anywhere else anymore. I even moved 30 minutes away and still come to this office because the care is unparalleled. Special thanks to Heather, my hygienist for the past 4 years - she always makes it a healthcare visit I actually look forward to.

2022-05-31We have gone to this practice for 18 years now and I have always loved it, but the last few years it has gone downhill. The office staff doesnt follow through. I had to ask multiple times for a referral for our daughter, then asked twice for xrays to be sent to an oral surgeon only to be told they were never sent when our appt came with said surgeon. They have a reputation apparently for not sending xrays out and then when you call and leave a message for a call back, forget it! You wont get one. The dentists and hygienists are on point, but something needs to be done about the rest of it.

2022-03-18I highly do not recommend. My first visit there I walk into a hygienist and the front desk girls acting like they could kill each other . The front desk girls were nice to me but hearing their conversations everytime they hung up off the phone with someone was unprofessional. If you are a receptionist thats your job to handle calls in a professional way . Then when I got to go back and had x-rays before my cleaning the hygienist named bella was flat out rude . She informed me my bobby pins had to come out and stated that we had all the time well by the time I started taking the first few out shes rushing asking if Im almost done . I understand if they had to ask me to take them out but wow I told her sure Ill take them out but that I had several . She tells me its not her fault ... Im guessing it was mine my last dentist never once had me take bobby pins out so how did I know!! I thought maybe since I had a bun hairstyle that she immediately labled me 😂 putting that nicely. Im surprised no one had bit her fingers lol ...my husbands first visit he had was a little more pleasant for him but he said communication skills are horrible and they act like they dont have it together. I read other reviews as well that werent so great for others . I totally see why . Those who left great reviews apparently had the more professional hygienist or just had better experiences . This was my first and last visit there . I told my husband Ill let my teeth fall out before Id ever go back there !!!!!!!!!! 0 stars 🤩

2022-04-06My kids love Dr. Connie. The whole office is great to work with—way more friendly, personable, and compassionate than other dentists we’ve been to. Highly recommend.

2022-04-12I’m extremely grateful that your Landen office accommodated me Monday. I was given prompt, professional and caring service.Having serious pain issues with my upper right teeth, I called my home office in Milford first and they couldn’t see me that the dentist was double booked and told me that I needed to call around. They even recommended an Urgent Care dental office in West Chester. Then my wife calls the Eastgate office, but was told the same thing, but was willing help her with the Landen office. Our suggestion for both the Milford and Eastgate offices are overbooked and need to add another dentist to their offices. I’m forever indebted and Considering moving our business to this office in the near future. Thank you again for the courtesy that I received yesterday.Sincerely,Gary Koester

2022-06-01I left 3 messages with them regarding a broken tooth. They have a new phone system and answering system that answers calls automatically. They are unable to retrieve messages from the answering service. Staff said they get this all the time. Serious communication problems. Ive been a patient for 20 years. They are great, but there new phone system is terrible!

2022-04-19The customer service here is terrible! I went to get my teeth cleaned and had been going here for several years. I was told by the hygienist that she may not be able to have time to clean my teeth. After which I told her that’s the reason I am there she got really rude and started cussing and being very unprofessional. I believe her name is Becca. I will not return and will take my family of 8 somewhere else. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME— CHOOSE ANOTHER DENTIST.
