Amazing but super expensive the cost of a sit down restaurant, i like the food but afraid with all the other reasonably priced restaurant they wont last
Absolutely fantastic! I’m a long term customer and fan of Choolaah in Orange. I was so enthralled upon finding out about the opening of this new location that’s only 25 minutes away from me! Naturally, at first, I was deeply skeptical about how the new location in Ohio City would bring the same great experience as the original location because most of the restaurants & bars in Ohio City are quite crammed and small. However, when I walked in on opening day to the new Ohio City location, I was blown away by the aesthetics and vibrant atmosphere! It’s quite open and spacious! It’s new. It’s fresh. It’s exciting! I also had a tremendous sense of familiarity of what the brand represents all throughout the physical space of the restaurant.The outdoor patio is very nice for the summer and fall months. The storefront opens up into outdoor seating as well. The whole thing was such a fun experience. You can feel a positive energy throughout the store at all times. The staff were just as friendly, if not more friendly at this location compared to the original location. Within just two days of visiting this store, I was able to form a wonderful relationship with the staff at the front. The store is well managed. Very very clean.The food at Choolaah is truly amazing. They bring the essence of traditional Indian cooking and put their own spin on it making it truly a delight for the senses. From their mini samosas and apple tamarind chutney to their hot chai and even their tandoori entrees, everything is on par with my expectations of authentic and delicious Indian food.What I value the most about Choolaah is the level of consistency in their products. I’ve never once thought, “Oh they must’ve changed up the chef today because something is off”. This is a common challenge among most Indian restaurants in America. Choolaah has somehow eliminated this challenge and reproduce successful results each and every time that leaves me craving for more.The only terrible thing about choolaah is that there aren’t more locations.
Lively atmosphere with plenty of seating including a covered outdoor patio. The acoustics accompanied by the background music and people talking make it difficult to hear. The temperature of my Pro Bowl could have been hotter. It was lukewarm at best. Overall, I would return because the food is very flavorful.
Best food out here in Ohio City. Highly recommended for anyone. They have taken Indian food to a whole another level!

Good flavors and concept but expensive for what you get. Rice, naan, daal, and a protein for a bowl is very inexpensive to make. I’m struggling to see the value of what I’m paying for without more in the bowl. The small side of hot sauce is also over priced and given in a container that is way too large. I do think they will do well and it’s worth checking out.

The food and atmosphere are always great at Choolah given Ive been to the one at Orange. My tofu bowl was cooked to perfection and was very filling. The only thing Id say wasnt on par was the naan. It was burnt in several spots so I had to break off pieces that were edible.
Lovely restaurant on W 25th. Dining in is a great experience indoors or outdoors. The back patio is fantastic.
Well made food, cooked properly in a way that seems to be difficult for other restaurants.I really enjoyed my Pro bowl with chicken, and the wheat naan was excellent. I never knew that onion seeds were a seasoning (or maybe theres a better word for that)Our order was to go.Parking was dicey, and someone got stuck at the exit when I was leaving so I had to wait an extra few minutes for that to clear.I will be back many times, because weve been waiting for a good place to open.
Surprisingly authentic flavors and the naans were fluffy and done to a turn. Excellent!

My family and I are huge fans of Indian food. we have tried almost all Indian restaurants in cleveland, and Choolah Beachwood has always been one of our favorite despite the long drive.We were excited to see a Choolah branch opening close to us.we decided to try it today, the day following the grand opening day, and we could not be more disappointed. The chicken wrap was small and the chicken portion in it was small. We ordered samosa chat , they gave us 4 small samosas with sauces and told us to mix them together! It did not turn out as expected.The lamb was very greasy and bland , the rice was undercooked and had no flavor. The chicken was ok.I truly did not feel i was eating Indian food and my kids agreed. It is also overpriced. There are many better places around , this one is Not worth your money.

2022-09-07My Tasty Vegan experience! The food here is extremely fresh and well done! Everything tasted amazing and is spotless clean! people behind the counter were so friendly and even gave us a free drink! The manager/owner came out just to talk to me about the vegan options and help me understand the menu.Amazingly so, our food arrived and was cooked within 3.5 minutes. Everything was perfect into the right temperature and the sea zing was so balanced perfectly!They have a large glass window area that views right into the kitchen and you can see the ovens where everything is cooked.This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced! for only a few dollars more you can choose options if you’re not vegan that are extremely exquisite like the lamb or salmon!

2022-08-13I got a choolah bowl with chicken, masala, brown rice, and “Whoa” sauce with a side of vegetable croquettes and samosas. Absolutely delicious. The chicken and curry stole the show. If you’re feeling sick of Chipotle, this is a great alternative to switch it up — just a bit on the pricier side for fast casual. Still… highly recommended.

2022-09-04This is a great spot! My husband and I stopped in yesterday and our food was delicious. The woman at the front desk taking orders walked us through their menu and made great recommendations. She was very knowledgeable and even stopped by our booth after we’d received our food to make sure we were satisfied. We’ll definitely be back and will be ordering on Uber Eats soon!

2022-08-02We experienced Choolah for the first time the week they opened and man.... when I tell you it was an AMAZING experience, I mean exactly that. Our soon-to-be landlord encouraged us to try them out. We were greeted at the door and given the rundown of how the menu worked. The staff who were being trained were amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. And THE FOOD. Holy smokes. Good portions, fresh and delicious. An overall wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

2022-08-30My parents and I are from nj and went to try this restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh, and had a lot of flavor. It is not spicy as typical Indian food and they serve large quantity for an affordable price. The restaurant has very nice and all the workers were friendly as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in Cleveland or enjoys Indian cuisine.(I read the owners story online and it was truly inspiring. Good luck to both of you guys and congratulations on the opening of your restaurant. )

2022-08-02Great flavor and glad to see food diversity on W. 25th. I think it’s slightly overpriced for how much food you get. I also don’t like receiving sauces in plastic/non-reusable materials when dining in. Overall great new addition to the neighborhood!

2022-08-21I recently use their catering service for a birthday party. Not many of my friends had ever had Indian food. All I can say “2 days later they are still texting me where are the restaurants located that’s some good tasting food.”Thanks Laura, for making this experience awesome 👏👏👏👏👏

2022-08-25Stopped in after work and had the most friendliest, knowledgeable staff member explain how to build my meal...what a treat...food was very flavorable and spiced just right...looking forward to going back and creating something else...so glad they have opened...well worth checking out!
