Worst food ever !!!! Got chicken chow mein with no chow mein and the owner was arguing with me telling me I’m wrong and it comes with rice. Steamed dumplings are disgusting and fall apart the second you pick them up. DO NOT eat here

I ordered the general tso combo, fried dumplings, and wonton soup. All of the food had next to no flavor. Dumplings were incredly greasy and Ive never had such dry, bland rice in my life. Dont waste your money.
The food is really good! It’s not the customery Americanized greasy Chinese food, it seems a little bit more homemade, if that makes sense. The orange chicken actually had bits of orange peel and some ginger, my Szechuan shrimp was amazing (tons of chopped veggies and fresh tasting shrimp). Really nice service too. I will definitely be ordering again.
ORDER and/or EAT AT YOUR OWN RISKIf I could give a tiny sliver of a star I would. Egg foo, Gen chick, spring/egg rolls, the steamed wontons were all over cooked or burnt to a crisp. When you get fried rice its not just colored yellow or when pork fried rice usual there is pork. Also everything was so bland and had no taste. Now Im not the kinda person who calls to complain let alone post something like this. BUT I have gone back here 3or more times in 10 years and each time its $#!+. I called up to just mention my dissatisfaction politely and not asking for any refund. Right when I said that I had picked up food I got cussed at and hung up on. Thinking that it was an accident I called back they did it twice more. NICEUpdate: Under further investigation and dissection I really doubt that was chicken we ate.Update Again: All 4 of us have since gotten sick. Lucky me I ate the least Ive only yackedone time.
Very disappointing sadly to say.Waste of money, ordered the orange chicken spicy. It was not spicy and I had many just breading pieces.The vegetable fried rice was very good though!
Been going there over 15 years. Sometimes the food is so so other times very good. I will continue to go back purely for the awesome customer service and the lady that runs the show. Very nice, fast and the food is always hot. All the complaints on here about their food, did they go back and complain or ask for a remake?? Or is it better to post a bad review on a family Owned business. Just saying
This is the most horrible disgusting pathetic Chinese food I have ever had! They even managed to ruin the rice!! The general tsao was horrible coated with watery BROWN sauce that tasted like water with black pepper.The meat was unrecognizable same for the spareribs dry hard shoe leather. Nothing was edible except the egg roll and the fortune cookie! Unbelievable. I gave one star only so I write this post.
I literally cannot believe all the bad reviews for here, they are the best, the general tsos and their egg rolls are beyond awesome. Been getting my chinese here for almost a decade and if I try a new place I always come back to here and realize I shouldve known better ! Dont let these stupid bad reviews stray you away !
Just amazing. Great food great service. It may seem a small thing but they drew a heart and a little thank you on every dish. Of course each dish was made perfectly and very enjoyable and that was thanks enough... but there is just something about those little hearts :) thank you china wok
Dont waste your money!!! Worse food ever!! I am a huge fan of fried dumplings and these were not even edible. I took one bite and threw the rest away. They were mussy and fell apart the second I picked one up. The Kung Pao chicken was a very weird orange and was 95% carrots, corn, and whatever fillers. Had to pitch that too. On the bright side.... the egg roll was amazing. Just kinda pissed I spent $16 for an egg roll!
This place is absolutely DISGUSTING! I have never had worse food. The rice was actually hard and the chicken was so bad I took one bite and threw it away. If i could give zero stars I would! Save your money and look else where!
Worst Chinese food ever. Chicken teriyaki sticks were severely burned. Gravy from Egg foo young was light and tan. Egg foo young patties smelled funny. NOT GOOD, especially considering that the fact that Im part Asian myself and I know good egg foo young. Worst place ever. Dont waste your money.
I am in the hospital with my mom that is admitted call the chines please to order, I paid by phone gave her name of person picking up order she said it would be ready in 10 min never did she mention she had to leave to go to hospital. My son in law was on his way to pick up order and the lady called stating she is leaving my order in the convinces store because she has to leave. I tell her no that’s bad service I’m in hospital my son in law is on his way she said she couldn’t wait I told her I would go to wait by the time I was there my son in law was there lady very rude saying she waited almost 20 min. I told her she should have said I have to leave in 10 min and I wouldn’t have ordered there. And to my surprise when we got back to hospital room that looked at order she forgot to put the pork fried rice so I called and lady was still there had not gone to no hospital. She also started she called me cause 10 min had past and the person that was going to pick up was not there and they get stuck with orders that never get picked up and I reminded her that I had paid the order by phone so Someone was picking up order!! Just bad service all!! Well never go there again!!!!
I absolutely believe that they gave my family food from another day. The portions work full. The food tasted horrible. To a 4 of my children got sick immediately half way into the meal.I will never spend my hard earned money in this establishment nor what I recommend anyone else !!
The sweet and sour chicken is the best ever!! Pillowy soft breading surrounding the chicken, so good. The Spicey chicken chow mein is very flavorful. Lo Mein noodles are delicious and the fried rice is very simple but just right. The owner so always so sweet when we see her. We’ve been ordering from China Wok for over 10 years and it’s still my favorite!
You have to spend 20 to get the food deliveree, ok..Ordered food on phone .they said 40 minutes.. an hour later they showed up and the food was cold.The mushu pork didnt take too well, and the pork chop mein tasted exactly the same. The wraps fell apart, and the pork fried rice was hard. The fried rice was made with 2 different kinds of rice(?).Very unimpressed.How can you message up fried rice? I can make make better fried rice than this.
Their food is okay but the staff is great and always really efficient.
Paid $50 to get smaller than lunch portions when we specifically asked for quarts. When we called to complain (and we were very polite about it) they said they only had one size even though we asked for quarts. We verified the size over the phone several times when ordering, too. The woman we spoke to called called us liars, said she wasnt going to do anything, shouted something to us in Chinese and hung up the phone.
WARNING!!! Worst food Ive ever eaten! Found 3 flies in 2 separate dishes. When I called the manager, she yelled something in Chinese with the F word clearly mixed in, then hung up on me. Worst business Ive ever dealt with. Avoid this ghetto dump!!!
Im generally a big fan of inexpensive Chinese food, but this place falls below even my low standards. There are similarly priced places nearby that do a much better job. Its disappointing, because I live so close by.

This place is so dirty I dont know how they are still in business. There is grease and dust covering everything and one of the workers sneezed as I watched them cook. They were extremely rude. Their portions were a joke. I left without picking up my food. You shouldnt even bother going.
Delivery came fast, but ordering was frustrating. Then they show up with no sauce, no fortune cookie, amd NO SILVERWARE. When they knew they were delivering to a gas station! Can I get a fork?
Im kind of stunned to see such poor reviews of a Chinese restaurant that has Puerto Rican cooks. The only let down about this place is that they cater to the elderly crowd, if you like a dish to be spicy you have to let them know; otherwise theyll treat you like a shriveled prune.
Im a huge fan of the service and owner/operator. The food isnt trying to be traditional it is Ch-American like in 90% of the Chinese restaurants in our state. We order chicken and pea pods plus the Szechuan string beans when available. They are excellent and seem to be the last place on the west side of Cleveland still offering them. The rice is white not yellow. The yellow is the fried rice. Good people and willing to call customers like myself when the string beans come in. Love it!I just realized that many of these people are likely referring to the restaurant in Elyria. Dont be put off. The Westlake restaurant is not really a place to eat in. Take out recommended.

Ordered food from this place for years, lady was always rude on phone but it was close to the house so we dealt with it but no more recently they messed up my order and when my wife called back to ask about getting it fixed lady on the phone kept insisting that what we got is what we ordered and ended up getting nast with her and hanging up. After this happened I went up there and she was immediately rude to me cussing and saying I’m a rude person all because I wanted my food fixed or a refund I will never order from there again I always ordered to go this time we ordered there and even if this didn’t happen I’d never order from there again place is disgusting I don’t know how it passes health code eww

I ordered the beef on a sticks, and BBQ spare ribs to go. It was done quickly and the food was good. I will try something else from their menu again this week.

The chicken and broccoli is in a white sauce. Rice is not sticky. Staff not so friendly.

2022-06-14Extremely high prices for tasteless food and small portions. $23 for fried rice (paid for $1 extra pork and egg.) and a chicken strip appetizer. The girl there told me eggs were expensive, so I guess she charged me for them but never put them in because I never found any at all! The pork was cut in minuscule pieces and had less than any other place puts in a regular order. The rice was a weird mushy consistency. The chicken strips were small but okay otherwise. There are no menus out so you have no idea of cost (and neither does the counter gal because she keeps running in back for prices as you order. I thought I’d give them a try as I pass by there from work every day, but it was a huge disappointment. Save your money.

2022-07-04WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had, the fried rice was white rice with yellow coloring. Not stir fried with any veggies. I ordered General TSO and it was bbq sauce, I ordered extra broccoli and received NO broccoli. Small portions. Worst of all I paid $49. Lo Mein was OK and the Crab Ragoon was different. All in all DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

2022-05-17The absolute WORST Chinese food I have eaten! Wonton Soup: Big wontons with no filling, watery, flavorless broth. Hot & Sour Soup: dark brown drek which tasted like a bowl of vinegar. Sweet & Sour Shrimp: Stale shrimp and rancid batter. Shrimp & Chinese Vegetables: Small not very fresh shrimp, overcooked broccoli which was a drab olive green. Crab Rangoon - Rancid! And - the place is a dump! I can’t understand a good review for this place unless you are mixing it up with another Chinese Wok restaurant in Cleveland that gets rave reviews. I wish they had something less than a one-star rating. they dont even deserve one star!

2021-10-08The ladies at the counter was rude, the prices were extremely high for comparison restaurants and they butchered my order. Pepper steak with no peppers. 1 packet of soy sauce for 38$ worth of food. The portions were ridiculously small.

2020-05-02Was desperate during stay at home order and no chinese places in my city. Thought Id try somewhere new. Disappointment would be an understatement. If I could take away stars I would. Practically empty crab rangoon. Burnt, mess of chicken egg foo young that was hard and couldnt be cut with a fork. Didnt even know it was possible to cook egg foo young so bad. Asked for hot mustard and soy sauce- no dice. Wish I would have checked reviews and for pictures. Odd...theres no pictures of the food. Ive included a few with my review.

2021-07-09Horrible food. It was so disgusting I couldn’t even eat it. Also is way over priced. 90 dollars for 3 people? Wasn’t cooked right the chicken was rubbery and the rice was burnt tasting!!! Not to mention the restaurant is dirty. I will never eat here again.
