China Wok in other cities:
Ive been eating here for 6 years. Not one single time was my food mushy or too dry. Its actually no different from any other small mom n pop type chinese restaurant, that Ive ate at. Two adults can easily eat there for $10. Funny how in a town thats monopolized by nothing but horrid pizza joints, some of the worst in the nation, Im sure of it, that you find so many food critics. If they only put that much effort into their education...
My wife and I had just moved to Marion and didnt want to leave after unpacking. We called a delivery order that arrived quite promptly to be honest. The food was awful, the rice was really dry and the chicken was hard and incredibly over cooked... We both got sick after eating their food. Wish we wouldve looked at the reviews.
Sadly what started out to be a promising experience ended up in a bitter disappointment. Whereas the food is decently priced the quality is minimal and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Word to the wise when ordering Crab Rangoon wontons if you wish to have the dipping sauce that normally comes with them- you will be charged .75 for it. We were not told that, and because of such -we had a rude awakening when we got our food back to the house. What Chinese food restaurant serves any kind of wontons without a dipping sauce? We asked if there would be a way that they could put it in their delivery schedule and swing by to drop off the sauce – they agree to only after they would charge us $.75 for the sauce and 4.00 for delivery fee. With such a debacle just trying to get the sauce for my wontons it left a bad taste in my mouth with the rest of the food. The beef from the beef and broccoli combination plate had an undesirable consistency, the broccoli tasted charred and their fried rice was mushy and not very fried at all. I will not order from here again nor will I recommend that my friends or family or anyone I know, do so. With the prices being so reasonable its clearly obvious case of you get what you pay for I will pay higher prices if it means I have a better quality of food and service !
Best Chinese food I’ve ever had in many states. I’ve tried many other places but NOTHING compares to Marysville’s China Wok. I live 20 minutes away, but I’d rather drive the 40 minutes total to get their food rather than order from the Chinese restaurant that is local, annnnnd I have to pack up my 3 girls to go get their food... still choose it every time. EVERYTHING on their menu is good to me EVERY SINGLE TIME!!
Prices MUCH HIGHER than advertised online I could have went to red lobster for what I had to pay to order at this shabby place, food portions very small for price, nothing remarkable about food. very dissapointed 1st and last time customer! Online price was 10.00 cost me 23.00 with a different menu with actual prices dont be scammed like me!
The food was decent like a year old candy bar when you really need that sugar fix. We were welcomed with a smile and taken to a clean table. However the general atmosphere of this establishment reminded me of a mix between a motel 8 and a cute alley cat with an eye infection.
Ordered from here for the first time on line prices are incorrect. Ordered the Broccoli and Beef Combination 9.95 and fried Dumplings. 5.75 paid 3.75 for delivery first about the BB combo it was small AF totally not worth the price i should of went with Quart or Pint so dont get the Combos for delivery. My fried Dumplings were cold and crunchy . i had to go out and get something to eat afterwards i wasted that 19.45 better to go with Quart and Pint im going to try them one more time. Just because they Deliver and they are the only asian food delivery in town the food is Ok nothin to go out of your way for i only tried them because of delivery
I hoped this would never happen, but China Wok, which used to be the best Chinese restaurant in town, has fallen. Hard. I left Marion for two years, used to eat China Wok as often as I could, and first time I have gotten to eat there again after the re-open... Its really subpar...
After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical about eating here. The place was empty and seemed kinda sketchy but the staff was kind and we got our food pretty quick. Our food was delicious despite what others had said about it. Id recommend them and would go back in the future.
Order 2 Lemon chicken dinners and fried dumplings to go and after we were home, in the sauce there was a fly. Called and reported to them that there was a fly in the the sause and this ruined our dinner, I was told they would bring more sause. I said your going to bring more sauce to my house I told them to forget it, an threw out the meal. About 2hour later I get a call from a manger that said did you find fly in sause then laughed I asked if though that this was funny to her for me to find a fly in food that I bought from there restaurant and it ruined our meal. She said no and said they would refund my money only if I brought the food I I formed her that she call me 2hour after I called them and expected me to keep the food around but I do have pictures of the fly in the sauce. She said it is policy to return food to get money back and we are sticking to our policy I will never return here and never recommend to anyone to eat here
I am a sucker for General Tsous chicken, Ive eaten it in Chinese restaurants from Chinatown in Seattle to Chinatown in New York City and a plethora of places in between. Itshould neither be right red nor taste and smell if BBQ sauce. Easily worse dinning experience of my fifty years, at least since Navy chow under General Quarters; trust me, cold chicken and hot orange juice is hard to top. Yet, China Work somehow managed.
Worst meal ever! What ever they were calling beef I swear it wasnt beef. The meal was Beef and Brocolli, the fried rice was the pooriest no onion, not carrot, no peas (just brown looking, over cook rice) the brocolli was total mush, the mystery meat leaves me believing it could possibly be CAT MEAT. We will never eat there again! The quality of this food was totally horrible!
First time eating here, and the last time! Beef Lo Mein.. where the beef? You get more meat in a grocery freezer section dinner, and the lo mein noodles are mush and slimy like they have been sitting in water for 2 days!! Blehh General Tsos no exception..Shows you also get broccoli on the menu picture? You dont.. just some tiny fatty pieces of chicken in wayy to much sauce. Hell they couldnt even toss in a couple peppers. I feel like I am just eating some really cheap generic bland frozen dinner that is priced way higher than it should be. Never again!
Ordered garlic chicken and it was super spicy I cant eat spicy food :( so I called and asked if the garlic chicken was supposed to be spicy and they said yes so if u order that just know its spicy other than that fast delivery and cooked well but did not offer to exchange my order for something not spicy or would have Ben 5 star
Ordered food for 5 people, delivery was said to take 1 hour, it took 2 hours and 20 min... ordered again today to give them a second chance, and they took my order and card information then called later to say card machine was down, 15 min before food was supposed to be delivered, and I was short $5 cash because I didnt plan on paying cash, so they would not let us have the food for that

2020-06-13I was feeling lazy today and wanted some Chinese delivered to my house so I decided to give this place a try. I didnt know how their sizing work so I just went for the largest size, just in case. I got the large Shrimp Lo Mein and two Shrimp Egg Rolls. It cost me around $17, a little bit pricey. My order was delivered around 43 minutes, which wasnt too bad. I poured everything out onto plates and was really surprised at how much food I got. Overall, everything tasted really good.

2021-12-13I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken combination platter with Roast Pork Fried Rice and one egg roll. It was so delicious. Sauce came on the side and chicken was super crispy.

2022-03-17It seems to have three restaurants in the area but china wok is not the best. They offer a limited menu and the food is not something to write home about.

2018-12-08After reading some of the bad reviews, I just wanted to make a comment. Normally, people who are unhappy about something that didnt go their way, tend to leave a bad review, saying they will never eat there again. But in reality, after a couple months they forget about what had happened and decide to order again. I seen it happen many times, cause I worked at restaurants before. Not too many people leave reviews when theyre happy. My family been eating at China Wok for many years now. The food is always fresh, never too dry nor too bland. The sizing, quality, and portions are very reasonable for the prices that youre paying for. As I seen from other reviews, people complain that its too expensive or way overprice, but anywhere you go nowadays, one meal is usually around $6-$8. At McDonalds, a Big Mac combo is around $7, and you dont hear people complaining about that.

2019-12-09Decided to give this place a try after reading some of the reviews. I had ordered the General Tsos Chicken combination platter, which comes with fried rice and an egg roll that was $10.50. Also got the Chicken Teriyaki, which was $5.25. Spent a total of $19.50 including the delivery fee. In my mind, I thought it was a bit on the pricey side but when I got my meal, the portion size made it pretty reasonable. Delivery took about 35 minutes and the guy was very friendly. Overall, food was good. Def will order again.

2020-06-13We ordered take out from here tonight for dinner, and got3- sweet and sour chickens2- happy familyShrimp egg rollChicken egg roll2- steamed dumplings1- chicken lo mein4- egg drop soup1- wonton soupThe egg drop soup had a weird taste (almost like soap residue). The wonton soup wasnt bad, but had HUGE clumps of noodles that were difficult to chop up.The sweet and sour sauce tasted almost like a sweet ketchup (it was really gross) the rice tasted like I had walked in the kitchen and made it myself (if you knew my cooking skills, you would know thats a bad thing.. meaning the rice was so-so)The dumplings, I cant put my finger on what was off about them.. but they werent terrible, but not good either. The lo mein when we opened the container the noodles were sticking to the top and were hard and crunchy. The noodles under those were soft but tasted old and greasy. The happy family also had a weird taste to it.The only thing good was the egg rolls, especially the chicken ones.Overall, I wouldnt recommend anyone eating here, and we wont try it again.

2019-12-08Ordered the Moo Goo guy pan Combo and a pt of Egg drop soup. Came to $15 for one. Ill be honest the food wasnt great it didnt have much sauce on it at all. The chicken didnt seem to be done. I didnt call to let them know either. Was more of something quick after spending all day in bed with a hangover lol but the service was quick got to my door within 25 minutes the delivery guy was pleasent as well. Every place is different with the way they make certain dishes.. I wont say i wont try it again... But i will say i wont try that particular dish again. Is a bit pricey though for one person.
