Brandon May was an excellent resource to advise us on our chimney repairs and what was needed to correct the issues. He was professional, thorough and explained everything to me. Our install crew of Kyle and Joe did a very thorough and professional job fixing and correcting all of the identified problems and issues. They were great to work with: on time, explained what they were doing, included me in the process, cleaned up after the work was performed and very professional. Chimney Works recently completed some work on the chimneys of my nearly 150 year old house. Noah, Caleb and Roman did the work and they were professional, knowledgeable, and fast. They explained each step and had pictures to show me of the progress and final product. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for any further work in the future as I found both their work and work ethic fantastic.
Hello all, James took great care to keep my home clean at all times. After his thorough cleaning and inspection inside and outside, he was able to show me exactly what was going on with my fireplace and chimney walls. We are very happy with the work the Chimney Works team did repairing the masonry of our fireplace. Cameron and Isaac were kind, courteous and did a great job! It is comforting to know our chimney will not leak. Cameron and Isaac were very respectful of our property and also cleaned up prior to their departure. They wound up the garden hose and removed all the debris without damaging any of our perennials. Awesome job gentlemen!
I have had three separate appointments with Chimney Works. The first appointment was for a cleaning. The Tech was about an hour late. When the tech got to my home, he realized that our clay was cracked and so we needed a new liner. This didn’t surprise me at all since it was clay from the 90s. He scheduled us for a new stainless steel liner install. I called around and found nobody could beat Chimney Works price (Chimney Works quoted $5k and everyone else was $8k or more) so we stuck with them. The day of the install and the tech was supposed to be at my home between 9 and 10. At 11 and I have yet to see anyone and nobody calls. I call into Chimney Works and am told that the tech overslept and hell be at my home soon. He gets to my home just after noon. No apologizes or anything. He then proceeds to hand me religious cards of which I laugh and walk away. I hired a chimney company.....not god. They finish the work in about 6 hours. On 5/20 my cap that Chimney Works installed blew off. I call them and the lady schedules me an appointment for between 9 and 10 on 5/23. 10 comes around and nobody shows....nobody calls. I call into Chimney Works and get passed around to multiple women. Im told by multiple workers that they arent able to get ahold of the tech. Im then told itll be another 20-30 minutes before my tech gets here (currently 10:15). I ask if I can talk to a manager and am told that we dont have any managers that can talk to you. No managers....Sounds like a winning business model.If youre cool with having inconsistent schedules and guys showing up whenever they feel like it.....call Chimney Works. Otherwise, I recommend hiring someone else. While I have no complaints with the call center women, the technicians are extremely unprofessional. Had the price not be too good to pass up, we would have absolutely gone with another company.
Chimney Works installed a gas insert in an non functioning existing fireplace. They lined the chimney and installed the insert in about 3 hours. Cory, Nick, Roman and Caleb all did a fantastic job. Do to the the rain they had to come back the next day to install the concrete rain shield and will be back to install the cap as soon as it is finished. the crew was friendly and highly professional. Would highly reccomend.
Second time using the company. Had 2 gas fireplaces cleaned and inspected. Technician was very thorough! He took the time to explain how the fireplaces worked and best safety practices as we are new home owners. Very respectful and will use the company again for future service.
Zac and Roman came out and did a repair on the crown flue. They were very professional and kept me up to date all everything they had to do. They were very neat and kept the are clean. They made sure I understood what they were doing. I would recommend them and this company to anyone. Thank you

Cody, Curtis, Joe and Roman were great. This was the best experience I’ve ever had with service in my home. They were punctual, called ahead and arrived ready to work. They were really efficient in setting things up to install my new insert. They were very patient about removing my old 800 pound 40 year insert and actually seemed as though they were having fun. They worked well together as a team— I was impressed with their “esprit de corps.” In addition I was impressed with how patiently they were in listening to my constant prattle.😄😃😁 They were very careful in keeping things clean and not damaging anything in the installation process. Imagine—they even redecorated my mantle before they left. They are the real deal. You can be proud of this team for sure. They are very good at what they do..
From the inspection performed by Chad, to the new stainless steel liner installed by Cameron, Austin, and Roman was nothing more than a perfect experience. Both gentlemen were very polite and professional.Kyle went above & beyond to discuss & listen to our future goals for the fireplace/chimney. In hearing what we wanted, he was truthful and honest about the unnecessary extra work that was in the original quote.Kyle didn’t hesitate to call the office to amend the quote to what really needed done - saving us money on something we didn’t really need or want done in the first place.Not once did Kyle speak poorly of the coworker that gave the original quote. He was simply upfront and honest & this was more than appreciated.

Kyle, Rick, and Issac came to our home to do chimney restoration to our 30 year old chimney. They came when they said they would. They did a professional job. They were considerate of the dirt that fireplace restoration can cause and cleaned up very well. I would highly recommend their service.

The new crown coating looks fantastic, they scraped off moss growth and they chimneys look years younger. I would absolutely recommend this company for any physical repairs.
Kyle W and Rick R did a full day of work to make my wood burning fireplace operation for the first time since living in my home. I needed a full heat shield installation. The were on time, explained the process to me, professional, and did a great job cleaning before they left. They also installed a custom large chimney cap. Fully explained the 48 hour curing process for the heat shield and how to operate the new damper. These guys did a fantastic job!
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with Chimney Works. We bought a house where the chimney was never used. We called Chimney works to inspect it (since they had such great reviews). Long story short, we paid in full and got a heat shield package. We waited a while but they scheduled, They arrived, and did the job. Once the cold weather started to come, we noticed we didn’t have a damper. Us being new homeowners with a chimney for the first time, called chimney works and asked if they had noticed we didn’t have one when they did the work. After many back and forth phone calls between the receptionist, and us remaining very patient, they finally admitted to taking the damper off while doing the job and accidentally taking it with them when they left. They said they would put on a new one with no charge. Time was scheduled and my husband took off work. They never showed up. When my husband called to see what was going on, he was told the technicians last appointment ran late and that they have to reschedule. Conversation got heated when my husband started to use curse words to express his frustration (which we both regret). The manager took the phone and told my husband because of that, they will Not be working with us anymore and hung up. Well, they have a piece of our house without our consent and we have a warranty with them that is signed in the contract. Now, when we call, they say someone will call us back.. but no one does. I have sincerely apologized on my husbands behalf multiple times through phone and email. We wanted to support a small, family owned, local business. However, it now has come to them stealing from our house and not withholding their side of the contract. My attorney is taking it over from here. Most unprofessional company I have ever worked with.

Fantastic Work! Kyle Waggoner and Joe H came out on 11/19/2021 to do a full repair/re-line for our fireplace and chimney which were damaged from a chimney fire last season. Do not use this company! The moment you sign the contract with them, all communication goes out the window. Here’s my timeline of events:Sept 30th: signed the contract to have them fix my chimney. Sales rep (Ben) said that the office would call “in a couple days” to set up the appointment.Oct 14: Still hadn’t heard from the office to schedule appointment, so I call them. They claim I was on their list of customers to call but hadn’t gotten around to me yet. Appointment was made for Oct. 19 between 9am-10amOct 19: No one shows up by 10:30am, so I call the office. I was told (by Carla) that the technician’s truck broke down and they weren’t sure when they would be able to get to me. I asked why I hadn’t been notified since my appointment window was between 9am-10am, and I was told that they don’t notify customers when technicians are running late. I needed to leave for work, so I asked to reschedule for another day, and was told that they were completely booked until next Spring. I then emailed the sales rep (Ben) and asked to cancel my contract because I was not going to wait until the Spring to have the work done. Ben was very unhappy and said that the office rep (Carla) lied to me, and that they have appointments available for the following week. He said that he would reach out to the service manager and either get another service technician to do the job that day or schedule me a future appointment ASAP. I had no further communications with them on that day, but when I got home from work there was an invoice on my door and duct taped plywood around my chimney.Nov 1: After no communications for nearly two weeks I called the office again to see when they would be finishing the job. They claim I am on the schedule for tomorrow.**I have asked multiple times to speak to a manager, but they are always “out of the office and will call me back”, but never do. I have never seen or spoke to the technician that has done the work on my chimney. Communication seems to mean nothing to this company and they will lie right to your face. Planning to copy and paste this review to other sites and the BBB.
Zack and Joe made repairs to our chimney; repairing the mortar joints and sealing the the crown. Our roof is rather steep, and the mortar joints are dye-tinted. The repairs looked great — including matching the color of the tinted mortar. When finished, they cleaned up very nicely. I would recommend Chimney Works to anyone.
Thorough, Knowledgeable, and Professional! Being our first time using Chimney Works, and having had a couple other local companies service our chimney in the past, we will hire them again and would highly recommend to anyone in the greater Cincinnati area. Ben did a fantastic job!
Kyle and Isaac did an excellent job replacing the heat shields and cleaning the smoke chambers on two fireplaces. They kept the area neat and clean and did an excellent job.
Craig came out to inspect and clean our 25 year old chimney. Our first cleaning since moving to this home. He placed a very large floor covering in front of the fireplace before he did his work. He kept the work area very clean. He even tolerated my two dogs the whole time. It turns out we have some substantial issues within our fireplace and chimney which will need to be addressed. Craig gave me lots of great information/brochures and explained it all very well to me. He followed up with a comprehensive email with pictures of his findings and a detailed estimate for several different options. It’s clear how knowledgeable he is about chimney repair. Appreciate everything about my experience.
Aaron Ross cleaned my high efficiency wood stove today. He was right on time for my appointment and was super pleasant to work with. He explained the process for cleaning my wood burning stove and went right to work. He shared several important safety and maintenance items to be aware of with my type of “fireplace”. Aaron was very knowledgeable and seems to have a passion for his job. Chimney Works has an excellent employee and ambassador for your company.
I call several times and they Chimney Work kept telling they will come out and never show up. I found other company and they are doing the work.
Every part of our experience with Chimney Works, from scheduling to cleaning, was excellent. The young lady who took my initial call was apologetic that they were too busy to get to us right away, so she offered a bigger discount than the coupon I had as compensation. We were given a two-hour window that we could expect service. Someone called me to let me know the appointment was coming up, and that we would get a call about what time.This morning, Chad called to let me know he was on his way, and he arrived on the dot of the earliest time of the window. He was cheerful and respectful, and made sure our home stayed as clean as it was when he arrived. He did a great job, in a timely manner, and was a nice as he could be. And the price was very reasonable for the cleaning.I will definitely use this company again, and have already highly recommended it to others.
Some of the review must be fake, which I am displease with Chimney Works. I found another company does show up and do what the said they would do.
We bid out 2 other companies and Chimney Works was the lowest price with the best warranties on their work. We needed a chimney liner installed in our 80+ year old house. They were able to come out a week after the inspection where everyone else was over a month out to schedule. Zack and Dakota were professional and polite. Took great care of our home while inside. answered all the questions I had with a smile. I would recommend them to family and friends, and have already.

Chimney Works Inc. is a truly professional business. Today they cleaned my mothers chimney. Their names were Jeremy and Rollan. They were prompt and professional from beginning to end. They were very courteous, and answered all of our questions. They removed a dead bird, and huge hornets nest. This gives my mother and I a sense of peace. I will rest easy knowing her home is clean and secure while Im at home.
The most expensive chimney company in Cincinnati. Shop around before you buy. Once they get paid, they wont stand behind their work. Called them back for poor workmanship issues and they quoted an $89 service call before even looking at the problem. When you pay top dollar for a product, it should be done right. The owner wont return your call when asked to speak to the person in charge? If you tout yourself as the best, Customer Service should be Paramount dont you think??? Youre definitely the most expensive! Consumers beware!
The owners brother came to give an estimate on a new fireplace. He told me you couldnt afford what it would cost How does he know my personal finances, I gave him no budget. We went with another more respectable company. I called the desk and they just said they werent surprised.
The company is highly responsive and James was very helpful in explaining all of the details of the issues. In addition, he showed us the camera images of the inspection and highlighted the issues associated with the chimney.

James came down and was fast and knowledgeable. We were getting date estimates from other companies for service in February, which is close to winter season being over. We got them in November, so we were very happy with Chimney Works!

Very happy with their work! Craig from Chimney Works came for a sweep and inspection for my home during the home inspection process and was beyond thorough and very knowledgeable. He also discovered some major issues that the home owners did not disclose - which were major safety issues. From there I used their team to repair the issues and they were on time, professional and got the work done as promised with no issues. Very professional team from appointment setting to the actual on-site visit. James did a great job inspecting and cleaning our chimney and wood stove pipe. He also shared with us some areas of concern he noticed on the outside of the chimney where water could be leaking in. The visit was followed up within a few days with pictures of the chimney, wood stove, before and after shots of the chimney pipe as well as an estimate for any suggested repairs needed. Highly recommended!

The inspector/chimney sweep professional, Jeremy, was informative - letting me know exactly what he was going to do; was conscious about keeping things clean; thorough in both the cleaning and inspection; and communicated his assessment well. Ive owned my home for 3 years and never used the chimney. I called Chimney Works to do another inspection and the technician, James, made sure to do a thorough inspection and provide a detailed report of the findings. At the time of sale, my home inspector said they chimney was good to use, but James found a few issues that could potentially result in a chimney fire and required some attention before I could safely use the fireplace.
We had Chimney Works install a stainless steel liner and air tight damper 3 years ago and were very pleased with their work and how clean the process was. When it came time to have the firebox and chimney cleaned for this burning season they were our first call. Jeremy was on time and very clean and careful in his work. He thoroughly inspected the entire system and ensured everything was adequately cleaned and safe for fires. I would recommend Chimney Works and Jeremy in particular to anyone needing similar work completed.

Jeremy was very thorough in his inspection and I appreciated that he showed me pictures and explained everything so that I could understand the situation. We had our chimney outside rebuilt in 2018 by a different company after struggling to find companies that would answer the phone or show up.This year we found Chimney Works when looking for someone to inspect and clean our fireplace and interior so that we could see if it could be used in the future. He found that prior to us buying our home in 2016 a liner was installed improperly and he went out of his way to make sure that the suggestions he provided us were the safest and most affordable options.We will definitely be using Chimney Works in the future and highly recommend them to others.
We have been using Chimney Works to clean our woodstove for several years. They are friendly and do a good job. Especially am pleased with Jeremy Woods who has mainly been doing the cleanings. Jeremy takes his time, does it right, and explains things. Would recommend.
Chad Newton came out for a sweep and inspection of our fireplace. He was very thorough, professional, and cheerful. We also have a venting chimney and he checked it out for me to make sure the cap was on correctly as it had flown off at one point. He went above and beyond with his service. Highly recommend.

Very friendly folks made us feel like family. Their main guy Craig showed us pics inside are chimney and what dangers there was .We was very lucky that we did not get a fire started It could have possibly spread with as many cracks was in the old lining . Lets just say that it could have been pretty bad . Did an excellent job realigning the chimney without no mess. I would highly recommend them for any chimney job.I had a friend that lost his whole house and everything in it a year ago due to not cleaning the chimney or having it inspected.I am going to say 1 thing if u burn alot of wood in your fire place have it cleaned and checked every 2 yrs . It dont cost alot for the safety of ur family and ur house knowing that your possessions are safe.
Chimney Works is fantastic to work with. A breath of fresh air working with a competent and caring group. It is so great to have intelligent people on the job. I love that I can rest easy knowing a proper job has been done. They are a very professional and knowledgeable company, with amazing manners, from the first call I made, throughout the entire process. I wouldnt recommend anyone else.
PSA: Chimney Works in Mt Healthy has questionable technicians. My husband and I used hired Chimney Works & Rocky Mountain Stoves (nearby in Mt Healthy) to do a sweep and inspection on our fireplace for the second year in a row. On Monday, they sent a technician who left a religious token with the ten commandments along with his business card in our mailbox after the service. We know it was him because the mail hadnt yet arrived that day, and because on his way out he said he was going to leave us his card in the mailbox. Thought it was weird, but figured maybe he didnt want to interact physically due to COVID or whatever. Now, Im not sure if this guy is out here doing that to everybody, or if its just because we violate the whole thou shalt not lie with man rule, but its highly inappropriate and offensive (not to mention technically illegal) to leave unwanted religious propaganda in peoples mailboxes.More importantly, it calls into question the validity of his inspection because the technician made comments about how there were some peculiarities with the install (by a different company) and that Chimney Works probably wouldnt want to continue servicing it for us. The report he provided has all kinds of issues that werent mentioned on the one we received last year from the same company, and he claimed they are serious enough we shouldnt be operating anything that vents into our chimneys (including water heater). Granted, the first report has some spelling errors and that guy doesnt seem to be working for them anymore, so maybe he wasnt the best technician, but that opens another can: that Chimney Works potentially failed to inform us of defects in our fireplace and that we operated it for a whole season.Not sure what to think. Either the first guy was totally inept, or this guy is such a homophobe that he is nudging us away from using their business. For sure wont be.
I had a great experience with Chimney Works. They were fast and clean and made sure to carry their equipment in carefully over my carpet. Jeremy and Ben explained the findings to me, including pictures, and gave me the language to use to explain any maintenance concerns to my condo association. They were also running a promotion over the spring and summer that offered significant savings.
We had Craig do an inspection/cleaning. He was very polite and thorough. Although we did have some work to be done, he was very thoughtful and explained what had happened and what our options were (and a fair price if I do say so myself.) Luckily, we were able to get Cody and another guy out a few weeks later to get the liner replaced. Once again, polite, professional, and prompt.We are so happy to be able to use a wood burning fireplace safely in our recently bought house. We will certainly be using Chimney Works for years to come in servicing and maintaining our chimney and fireplace.

Chimney Works was recommended to me by my Dad who said hes been using them for years. They are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We had an inspection done with Jeremy and he did a great job. He walked me though everything he was doing and pointed out what he found. We had some cracks in the tiles and he went through all of our options for repairs and also sent detailed pictures and reports of his work. Jason from Chimney works came out and did an amazing job cleaning our chimney (which was super dirty) and gave us tons of tips on how to best use our fireplace insert, what kind of wood to burn, and the overall state of our chimney. He was incredibly personable, friendly and great to work with! I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Extremely poor experience from the very start. When visiting the showroom they gave me a booklet to read and by the end of 30 min I knew more about the fireplace than they did. They were no help at all. Then, when they came out to inspect our home the inspector and front office had no idea what the other person was supposed to provide in the process. Very unprofessional and disorganized. The installation was not any better. The crew that came out installed the chimney out of square and things were not level. When they came back out they still didnt see the problem and I had to point it out to them even though you could see it from across the room. They used black shingles on our brown roof and never fixed it. Chimney was installed out of level as well. The final issue was that they stripped out the bolt for the louver which left it unable to function at it fell off on day 2. Then they sent out a replacement without all the parts and so the lower louver is still not able to be installed. Still waiting for a replacement part almost 6 months later. Very poor experience and poor business operations. I would not recommend using this company.
Had a fire in my chimney and called Chimney Works to come clean and inspect. They immediately scheduled me in since we had a fire and had the fire department out. The lady for scheduling was extremely helpful and friendly. She did what she could to schedule us in immediately. Jeremy was the expert that showed up to conduct the cleaning and inspection. Jeremy is top notch and was extremely helpful showing me what was damaged and what my options were for moving forward. Very polite and professional and certainly represents Chimney Works in a positive manner. Extremely pleased with the service Chimney Works has provided to me and they will definately be my only go to Chimney company Ill use for service and repairs!!! In the past we had a company not do a great job ( in and out in 20 mins and couldn’t tell if anything was done) and after they went out of business, we were amazed at the difference this company made! If you are interested, they will take the time to teach you about chimney and fireplace care. Don’t bother cleaning- they will vacuum their mess and are super careful to keep the house clean. Ha! Don’t vacuum a week before they come ;). They take before/ after pics as well. Jeremy was great.

Appointment was made about a week out which was a much better time frame than I had been quoted from another company. Jeremy was very kind and knowledgeable. He was very honest about our situation eventhough it wasnt what we wanted to hear. Our house was built in 1911 and our chimney is way out of code, Jeremy did a thorough inspection and offered options of what we could do to so we can use our fireplace again. I was not pressured to get additional work done or to purchase products. Very good experience!

I had not hired a company to have my chimney cleaned and inspected and thought it was time. So, I called Chimney Works. I was lucky enough that they sent Christian for the service call. He called to let me know when he would be here, removed his shoes upon entering my home and left my home as clean as when he arrived. He was professional and very personable and explained how to keep my fireplace in good working order. He made me feel that I was his number one customer! I am very grateful for his superior service. If you call Chimney Works, which I recommend and Im sure all of their technicians are great, but I would request Christian as your service technician....you will be very happy that you did.
Great customer consideration and clear communication arent what I would expect with a chimney sweeping company. Jeremy was here to help us clear our chimney out, and get us back up and going. Glad to see someone who stands for their company and is good at what they do. Our chimney was worse than we thought, but he was able to get us back up and burning. We are now considering a fireplace insert as a future purchase from Chimney Works, and will be visiting the showroom asap!

What a relief to have found Chimney Works! We have cleaned our chimney for years with another vendor but became dissatisfied with poor service. We knew the time had come for a new liner and some general repairs to our 75 year old chimney. Christian Martinez was AMAZING!! We were offered choices for repairs and a clear understanding of what was going to be done and how it would be done. And what the price was going to be for each choice. Christian explained everything so we could understand it and make the choice for us. The work was done cleanly, professionally and very pleasantly. I love my fireplace again!!! They are the BEST!!!
BEWARE!!! We ordered gas logs and screen from a company who did not do sweeping but was told we should have it done before we made the conversion from wood to gas logs. I made the appointment with them because they had availability before another company I had already made an appointment with. The technician come out to clean and inspect 3 chimneys. I was told that we had 3rd degree creosote buildup which could not be cleaned and needed to have a liner installed in our main chimney for thousands of dollars!!! He showed me video footage which I now believe wasnt even my chimney. I felt uneasy and pressured to purchase a liner and gas insert after I told him we already had gas logs ordered from another company. Our home is 12 years old and we just moved in over the summer and had a thorough home inspection beforehand. Something just didnt sit well, so I kept the appointment I had with the other company. The gentleman came out and inspected my chimney telling me that the buildup was minimal and it didnt even need cleaned!!!!! I then told him what I was told previously and he said hes had numerous customers with the same issue with this exact company!! INSANE! Apparently they are fighting some lawsuits regarding this stuff and have since moved locations. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

When we had a problem with one years later, they Immediately came out & repaired it. Last year, we had an insert installed & are extremely happy with it. Had Chimney Works out to inspect a fireplace/flue in a home we just bought. After shining a flashlight up the flue, told me I needed over $6k in repairs due to deteriorating joints. Became more suspicious when they started offering deals based on timing of work especially when they didn’t even look up entire flue with a camera. Got more suspicious when the person told me it was a free estimate when they told me the visit would come with a cost. Called Cincinnati Chimney for a real inspection and found one minor issue saving me $5,500.
Aaron arrived on time, introduced himself and started the inspection which, he said, honestly, didnt need to be cleaned. We discussed possibilities for upgrading - which wasnt feasible. So appreciated his knowledge and honesty. Aaron is a fine representative of Chimney Works.
Our Thanks to Aaron for his thorough cleaning and inspection of our Fireplace and chimney this May. We feel safe to burn all next winter as needed cleaning and repairs were made. (Literally cut our heat bill in half...and it was an extremely high bill since we live in a poorly finished, drafty log home.) And our chimney cleaning was so easy to schedule! Jeremy did a fabulous job cleaning our insert and chimney this morning. He called when he was en route, was very concerned about cleanliness (brought a mat for the hardwood, used a shop vac for the soot, etc.) and was extremely friendly and polite.I would highly recommend Chimney Works!!
I called Chimney Works to get a quote on a firebox re-build or repair. Got suspicious when they got up on our roof without me asking and looked down our chimney flu after inspecting the firebox.. Got REALLY suspicious when they said our chimney flu was defective (no pictures) and they wanted to sell us this Heat Shield at an exorbitant cost. They did a lets make a deal tactic, saying theyd fix the firebox for free if we fell for the Heat Shield sham.Decided to wait for our guy that has been inspecting and sweeping our chimney for many years. Hes certified, etc., but his time is limited to just a handful of side customers. He just performed an inspection of our chimney flu/lining, crown & firebox and indicated that everything is in top shape and up to code. All he needed to do was some minor sweeping, as we only burn good hard wood and our flu normally doesnt need attention in under 2 year intervals.Glad I got a second opinion and didnt fall for the Heat Shield scam.

This review is for the Chimney Works in Harrison, OH.I cannot say enough good things about the service team at this company. A few years ago we had some repairs done (by a different contractor) on our roof, chimney and fireplace after a chimney fire. The next Fall, we had Chimney Works out to clean the chimney. Joe was disturbed by what he found--evidence of water in the Regency unit (that we had installed at the same time the repairs were being done) and shoddy workmanship on the flashing around the chimney, and poor installation of the cap. Joe took pictures for us which we used to file a complaint with the insurance. Long story short, we had Chimney Works help with the repairs the second time around, including dealing with Regency for a new unit. They were amazing, did great work, and were with us all the way, explaining everything that needed to be done and why. We were gun-shy about contractors after our last experience, and they withstood all of our questions and inspections.These guys are the definition of professional. They are knowledgeable, honest, hardworking, and know the meaning of integrity. They may not be the least expensive option--but you get what you pay for. I would not have anyone else, ever, do any work on our fireplace or our chimney, other than these guys.Brandon just left a few minutes ago from our first cleaning of the new unit--and of course everything looks great. Brandon is a super nice and personable guy, and our dogs loved him. :) He obviously knows his stuff and didnt leave even a speck of ash from the cleaning.If you need fireplace or chimney work done--dont hesitate to call these guys. They have my whole-hearted endorsement.

Our chimney hasnt been cleaned in a good while. Jeremy cleaned the interior of the chimney & found some issues thatll require further work if we are to restore our chimney to Fire Code specs (large gaps in the mortar joints & 3rd degree creosote build-up). He took photos, explained the issues in detail, and consulted us on our options moving forward. He was personable & efficient and should we acquire the funds to move forward with the repairs, I look forward to working with him in the future.

Jeremy was very thorough in evaluating the condition of my chimney. He invited me to watch the video cam of the internal inspection of the liner and pointed out various concerns. He also showed me the external concerns and explained those. He presented different options, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each, and answering my questions. I am typically apprehensive about having workers come into my home, but the installation crew that came to set up our new stoves, were phenomenal! I couldnt have asked for a better crew, better service, and care with my home. They were respectful to me, my home, and belongings. They kept the work areas clean, protected everything, and cleaned up once the job the complete. Our experience with Chimney Works and Rocky Mountain Stoves was outstanding! We hired them for a chimney cleaning, and It turned out that we had a previous chimney fire. Jeremy offered exceptianal supprort when our insurance company initially denied our claim for repairs. Fortunately, thanks to his thorough documentation and above and beyond efforts, the claim was approved and our policy covered the cost of the chimney repairs.Secondly, when the work was performed the team that performed the work was timely, very knowledgeable, and professional. Mike and his colleague did an outstanding job relining our fireplace with a stainless steel insert, performed tuckpointing, and mortared a new chimney crown. They fully cleaned up the work area when done, completing the work sooner than projected.In the past 3 months, we have enjoyed many fires since their work was completed, the chimney operates like new and the crown and tuckpointing look great too!I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for honest and reasonably priced chimney professionals. They have earned my business for all of our future fireplace and chimney work!

Jeremy is very experienced, kind, honorable and knowledgeable about his job. He is always very thorough and patient as he answers questions. I want Jeremy to continue to take care of our stove and fireplace but the scheduling needs to be improved. Our only complaint is that they never showed for our first appointment. After calling them, somehow they had us on the schedule for another day that was not discussed. We rescheduled for today, but by the time they showed up it was about 15 min outside the window they offered. We like that Jeremy kept us informed of his arrival time but it is frustrating to be stuck waiting. In the future we hope to get this squared away so we can better plan our days. They were referred to us by a neighbor who heats his home almost exclusively with wood, so we knew theyd be good, and theyve lived up to expectations. We have them sweep and inspect every year and they keep us in tip top shape!
We experienced awesome customer service last year when we had a new insert and chimney liner installed by Chimney Works. The office staff and service technicians were friendly, honest and knowledgeable. This year we had our chimney cleaned and inspected and experienced the same awesome service!
Jeremy woods was my technician. He was polite and courteous. He explained information clearly . He used his tools with a tarp to keep my house clean. It was a pleasant experience to work with him. I will recommend Chimney Works because of Jeremy Woods.

Found a coupon from a local Reach magazine, scheduled an appt. with Jermey and asked for a 30 minute heads up for my 2.5 hour window appt. (this way I could go to work leave in time to be home to meet Jeremy without the sacrifice from work) Jermey contacted me within my slotted appt window and arrived as promised. He began by answering my questions and explaining the work that would be done. He / the company was thorough (even in the snow on the ladder). He explained the work was done inside if i needed to return to work i could lock up and take off. Jeremy planned to email me recommendations and maintenance along with photos that he took throughout the day.The price was hands down less and more competitive than others in the TriState and I was able to make an appt. within 5 days. Eric H came out to my house today for a Video Inspection and Cleaning. Vinny just completed my cleaning and inspection. He is polite, calm, and very pleasant. My dogs weren’t disturbed by him. He found the fireplace in good working order but showed one area that needs replaced outside. But said I could take care of it in the Spring. We will definitely be calling Vinny back when we decide to finish the job

We had Chimney Works back out again this year to install a second stove in our basement. We stopped in the show room and decided to go with a Hearthstone model. We ended up having a liner installed in our existing clay flue as well. We are very happy with the results and the quality of installation. Two logs in the Hearthstone and it will reach 85 degrees in every room in the basement. I can not recommend this company enough, the people are wonderful and honest and they take time to answer questions and concerns. Five stars for Chimney Works!

Great service, very knowledgeable! We have had a few chimney sweeps and a new chimney liner put in and they have been wonderful through everything. They will tell you what you need to do to keep your fires burning safely and they go above what they need to do. They work with you every step of the way. After our experiences here, we wont go anywhere else!
Frank, the chimney technician, was courteous and knowledgeable regarding our chimney and fireplace. He cleaned the chimney and presented us with pictures of the damaged areas. He then explained our options to bring it up to code. Frank left the work area clean and neat. We highly recommend Chimney Works.

As a customer, I want to say Ive not been impressed with Rocky Mountains services and would not recommend them to others. We had to call several times to get the job scheduled because we werent contacted in the timeframe we were initially told. Although the workers who came out have been very professional and done great work, the people in the office cant seem to return a simple phone call. As an example, our project was interrupted due to weather. We were okay with the scaffolding being left on our roof and plastic wrapped around our chimney because we thought it was only going to be a couple days. My wife called after nearly a week had gone by and no one had contacted us to reschedule. The young lady who answered the phone seemed unconcerned and said the person my wife needed to speak to was in a meeting that evidently lasted the entire day because we never got a call back. Then workers just showed up the next day and although we were happy they did, we had no idea they were coming and had to rearrange our day at the last possible minute. In our experience, the people actually doing the work were great, but the people in the office are extremely unprofessional.

We had some extensive masonry work done on our chimney by Chimney Works. Twice, actually. But, some problems occurred again. Chimney Works sent Christian Martinez out to examine the problem. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Knowing that this would be the third repair to the chimney, Christian contacted the office to discuss the issue.Christian and management made the decision to repair the chimney at no cost to us. Fortunately the repair needed was small enough that it could be done in one - long - afternoon. Not only did Christian make the repairs, he also made correction that would decrease the possibility of the problem returning.We commend Christian, and Chimney Words, for being accountable and honest about this problem. We also thank Christian for his diligence and workmanship in repairing the chimney.
Ben worked quickly and cleanly. He cleaned out the inside of the chimney and fireplace. He even informed us of some exterior repairs that are needed when he was on the roof. Very friendly and professional.
We had Ben from chimney works come for a chimney sweep but alerted us of having an incorrect setup essentially saving us from a future house fire.He was extremely helpful and informative. Also made sure he covered any questions or concerns we may have had. I would highly recommend!

Last week I called and scheduled an appointment and was told November 16, 2020 between 8 am and 10 am. When I called to confirm they were still coming, they advised me I wasnt on the schedule for the 16th but was scheduled for 11/23. I explained to them we were out of town and why would I schedule an appointment when I was going to be out of town. Now they dont have any appointments until late December. We are looking to go with a different company at this point. Be careful and confirm your appointments so you do not waste your time.
I was very please with professional way the young man handled himself, he when over everything with me on what he found and what I should be doing to keep my chimney safe. After he was done he even left the area cleaner than when he came. When I have my chimney done again next year I will request for him to come again if possible. And the price was very reasonable. Jeremy was great, he was going to be late and called to let me know. Which was fine with me, he then called when he was on his way. Very informative on installing word burner. Also did a great job cleaning fireplace and cleaning up after he was finished.
Jeremy came out and explained everything with ease to someone who knows nothing about chimneys. Their work was top notch and did so on a tight schedule during the busiest time of the year where other guys wait time was at least twice as long.

2022-07-30Cameron and Isaac were awesome. The organizations customer service was great as a whole. I had to have my fireplace liner replaced. Cameron discovered mold was growing behind the old liner. He showed me the problem, directed me to a remediation service, then sealed the fireplace until the problem could be corrected. Once corrected, Cameron and Isaac returned in a timely manner and installed the new liner. Once complete Cameron showed me how they sealed it inside the fireplace and photos of the sealed chimney cap to ensure water could not re-enter. These guys were great to work with. They were friendly, personable and committed to superior service and installation. Please note: if they have to cut out a portion of the wall to properly install the fireplace, a secondary contractor is required to complete the drywall work. They will provide references if requested.

2022-01-21We recently had a new fireplace insert installed by Chimney Works. Cameron and Austin arrived a few minutes early and installed the fireplace in about 2.5 hours rather than the expected 4 hours. They did an excellent job including cleaning up when they were finished. Both Cameron and Austin were very personable and knew what they were doing. The fireplace looks great and works well.

2022-03-02I am so pleased I chose Chimney Works to do my work. I had asked people on Next Door who they recommended and CW was mentioned most often. What they said is true. They are a good value, professional and curious. From the fella that helped me with the estimate to Curtis, Robert and Joe who did the work, they are a quality company. All spoke highly of their management as peopled-centered and principled on behalf of their employees and customers. You could feel the genuine appreciation for the company owners respect when they spoke. Oh, and the work was done in two weeks from the date of the estimate. The swift service was not necessary but very much appreciated!

2022-02-22First Craig came to my home, cleaned and did a thorough inspection of both my fireplaces and found serious repair needed. He showed me the pics and explained the process. Today the crew of Kyle, Isaac, and Rick came to do the repair. All 4 of these men were respectful and kind. They were careful to put booties on each time the entered the home. What great representatives of their employer. I would highly recommend them and Chimney Works to anyone one in need of their services.

2022-07-22We started out with Ben to have our chimney swept and he found that we had a previous fire in the chimney that was a huge safety issue. Our insurance company did not even falter at paying, based on the pictures and evaluation report provided, which was great! Ben kept us current from beginning to end. When we had the chimney repair, the 3 guys who came out were Nick, Isaac and Mike. First of all, they were really great guys. Super friendly, very conscientious and thorough. They communicated the entire time of what they were doing and any issues they had, we were made aware. They worked really hard and never once complained. They were at our house for almost 12 hours. We will definitely have them back every single year. They did a great job and it was also a very very reasonable fee.

They were very respectful of our gardens and did not leave until everything was cleaned up.
