This place is so deserving of 5 stars but those potholes rattled a star off the wall. My back is so happy we left and thats the only negative thing I have. The campground is nice size, has a nice swimming area, ponds to fish, friends to be had and events are scheduled for all to enjoy. Washer dryer on site. Bath house on site. Golf carts allowed. Full hook-ups, city water plumbing, fire ring on-site and fair rates, plus electric. Ice and propane available.
The campground was good. Jim is the best and cares but Cindy is the biggest reason that people have negative reviews. We was nice to her but she wasnt very nice back and acted like she was better than the people camping there. I think if Jim was in charge the place would be an awesome place to camp.
First weekend here. So far everything is great.
This place has so much potential. Too bad that the new management are money grubbing as... And you better make sure you dont get on their bad side because they will take it out on you and your visitors. I would not recommend staying here because if you do something as innocent as take a pallet off of a burn pile, you will get a whole 3 1/2 hours to vacate the premises and have your home towed out to a junk yard. Its my property, my rules. is what they will say. I dont think that just because it is your property that you are renting to other people gives you the right to do what ever you want. Also it was fourth of July weekend. Where are you supposed to go?

Here for the summer for my husbands work, the staff is amazing! The owner has bent over backwards to make sure his campers are taken care of. Nice, quiet little campground with a nice swimming and fishing pond. Looks like lots of improvements going on too. Only down side is extremely hard water with a lot of iron. If your going to be here for an extended stay invest in some good filters and a water softener. Would definitely recommend 😊
Great campground! This is the first year that we are permanent anywhere, it was a good choice everyone is really nice and family friendly
Nice place, but the gravel roads need paved, fixed the toliets in outhouses and put some better lighting inside. And some signs to use urinals instead of people pissing all over the seats.
Excellent place to stay! Also has a safe place to swim for the whole family! Excellent customer service. Marty and Maggie made it feel like home. Everyone was exceptional. I would definitely come back to camp.
Mens shower had hot water in one stall, womens shower had NO hot water. The water in this area has such a horrible sulfur smell...we had to flush our system out before using it again. Im not sure what the deal is with the parking pads but my class a leveling jacks pushed right down through the gravel about 8 inches and I had a 10x10block underneath. I had to get a shovel out to dig it out of the ground when we left.
Under new management, future plans sound great. We had a nice quiet time on our first visit.I would go back.
No tent camping. Cold showers. No privacy the way its set up. Most folks that are staying here live here. American Wilderness or Findley State Park are much better choices.
Quiet campground. Family member has a seasonal site good neighbors and friendly staff.

2022-06-20Were seasonals that were displaced from another campground that we camped at for 16 years. Coming here we worried about the lack of amenities we had been used to, but there wasnt anything to worry about. The owners are very friendly and work tirelessly from dawn til dark to improve and update the park. The ponds are beautiful and clean. My kids have no trouble swimming in the lake. Im a harder sell, but thats ok because there is a plan for a pool to be added next season! There are plenty of fish in each of the ponds and the kids enjoy catching them. They are working hard to get community building activities going(Friday bingo, monthly potlucks) and the band they had for Memorial weekend was outstanding! The rules and expectations for campers are quite reasonable for that of a family friendly campground. They had no trouble offering ample parking and a simple sign in for guests when we had my husbands 50th birthday party. We also found the golf cart trails this weekend and cant wait to explore those more in the coming weeks! Prices are fair and folks are very friendly. Were happy to have made the move.

2021-09-06Was $30 a night...cash or check only.Manager very helpful. Enjoyed our stay there. Larger swimming lake with several smaller fishing lakes. There were a lot of snail shells around the lake though that you have the walk through to swim.

2022-06-01I would give negative stars if I could all because of Cindy. She is hostile, rude and completely inconsiderate. She barely speaks coherent English and she treats customers however she wants. If she likes you. Great. If not - she will literally tell you that you have to leave regardless of whether you are a paying customer siting “communication issues”. If you like to be treated like you don’t matter and enjoy being spoken to like you aren’t even human then this is the place for you. Otherwise - find somewhere that appreciates you and your money. PS when the vending machines are stocked - don’t think that it’s because you can buy something. It’s probably part of their scheme to take as much from every unfortunate soul that makes their way to this campground. I felt compelled to share this in hopes that it could help even one person understand what they can and will be subjected to by staying here.

2022-05-01There are way better places Ive stayed traveling. I dont understand the attraction to this place the locals see. You pay your power bill separately from your stay. Pay close attention to your meters theyll rip you off. They added about 15 dollars to my bill. If you pay with a credit card get ready for the fees they dont tell you about. Pretty money hungry bunch just saying.

2022-06-30Camped here with my 3 kids. The playground equipment is broken and from the 20s. My daughter got incredibly sick after swimming in their green lake connected to their beach. There were ticks EVERYWHERE. If you camp here check your kids for ticks.

2022-06-01Could be a nice place if Cindy wasnt there. Im assuming shes the reason that their customer communication is so poor. Im not sure who put her in charge but it was a terrible idea. Her behaviour was hostile and their customer service and correspondence is atrocious as a result. Not worth the one star. They will certainly not be receiving another dime of my money.

2022-01-03This was our first summer ever camping. I love the campground everyone was so very friendly and helpful. They are upgrading a lot of things so it will only be better in years to come❤️
