Love this company. They make the ONLY natural deodorant Ive tried that actually works! Also their bar soap (my fave is honey beer) makes my skin feel like butter. I have the products shipped to my home and everything is always packaged with care. Love this company!!!
I have been using Chagrin Valley products for eight years now, starting when I ordered a couple trial size bars. I love their mission and their products. One of my favorite items is the Cafe Moreno shampoo bar. It smells heavenly.
Ive used the soaps and the lotion bars from Chagrin Valley for many years. I love that they have no clinging artificial scents and no artificial ingredients. All the varieties Ive tried, and there are many varieties, are truly different, with differing real ingredients not merely a different color or scent added. Everyone here has a favorite: mine is Java Spice soap, but we regularly use the Chocolate Almond, Olive & Shea, and Citrus Woods Green Tea soaps. Depending upon the variety, the scents are fresh and clean, some are a bit more spicy, floral or citrusy. The Cocoa Butter/Shea Butter solid lotion bar is the only thing Ive found to help my dry skin once the colder weather gets here.
My daughter and I love Chagrin Valleys products. We both have sensitive skin and I have dry curly/wavy hair. These products work wonders. I really only buy things nowadays from companies that care about their impact on and in the world which is another reason to love them . The care is palpable. Thank you everyone at Chagrin!!!
I love the Shea conditioner cream! I also like that you can get good sized sample bars to see what you like best. I wish there were more coconut free shampoo options but I do like the olive oil bar.
Great handmade soap and shampoo bars. The scar healing salve has really helped my surgery scars, worth every penny! Just went backpacking with the bug spray. Everyone said I had a cloud of mosquitos around me but they wouldnt get within a foot of me. Great stuff for backcountry where you cant wash off deet. I was not eating that nasty stuff when cooking. Everyone asked where I made the great find!
Nice soaps...bars are big and they last longer than other organic soaps Ive tried. Their cream deodorant is also really nice. It lasts a long time and really works.
Great bath products, ethically made, with thoughtful environmentally friendly packaging. Their whipped face cream is amazingly moisturizing- perfect for dry desert skin.
Recently purchased their shampoo bar and the shave soap. Love both. The shave soap has been the best one I’ve found yet.
I love the customer service and how they give free samples with the product you buy but i do not love the shampoo bars. I did everything that they told me to do but it just didnt work for my hair.

As a Massage therapist that be lives in organic natural products, I was delighted to find such an honest company making not only great product but products with real health values...you can tell alot of thought and research has gone into this...my only critique is customer service enquiry response I am yet to have a reply in regards to ordering some bulk supply.

2016-07-19I love their products. It took my hair a few washes to get all the chemical residue out from using commercial shampoo but once that happened my hair felt and looked amazing. Their deodorant is mind blowing. It works great and being such a small container and I had it for months before i lost it traveling and it wasnt even half gone yet. You really dont need much. My hair when it was long took about one shampoo bar a month but as amazing as it makes my hair it is well worth it.

2020-08-07Their products smell great and feel amazing on my skin. I bought their bamboo face soap, pomegranate face oil, and mint mist deodorant. My acne-prone face has been clean and mosturized without any breakouts, with my skin adjusting to these products immediately! I must also say I love how helpful their website is in choosing the right products for you. Each one of the employees is a treasure trove of knowledge and advice as well. This is a local business I support not just because its local, but because its products are truly better than any big-name ones Ive used.

2016-07-20I have been using their products for over 7 years. Only thing I use for washing my hair. It is great knowing I helping myself without dangerous ingredients. Love their bars for your body too.I can even read the ingredients too!I first began with their animal products for washing my dogs. It was really nice to know that if they licked themselves while being bathed it would not be toxic. Then I tried their shampoos and deodorants and etc.I hope they will continue making such great products! Really quick orders too. Shopping with them is a pleasure!

2016-07-19I have been using the soaps and shampoos for over a year and am extremely happy that I found this company. I live in southern CA, and have not been able to find anyone locally who makes anything that compares to Chagrin Valley products. Although I have to pay shipping costs, overall, I pay less for my soaps and shampoos than I did when I bought commercial beauty products. The selling point though is that Chagrin Valley products are all natural and have absolutely no chemicals that are harmful to our bodies--unlike most commercial products.I will continue to use these products and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

2016-07-20I love this company and their products. I started with them about a year ago when I wanted to switch to all natural shampoo soaps, because I lived in a hard water area, which required SOO many products to make my hair normal. Not only does Chagrin Valley have an AWESOME selection of hair and body products, Ive tried many, and they are ALL so good. I had to take notes of which I liked best because there are so many that are so good.The prices are fair to me, too, because the soaps last as long as you expect... sometimes it seems longer than my usual commercial body soap bars.Definitely give this company a try, and if you are switching to soap bar shampoo like me, give it about three months (with ACV, as well) to really change your hair.

2016-07-20Really great company and products. I love the goats milk and oat soap for my face, deodorant, and babbassu marshmallow shampoo bar for my natural hair. I like that I can use products for myself and my family that I trust are safe and dont contain all of the chemicals/preservatives that commercially made products do.

2018-08-01Absolutely love the products i purchased. My hair is still getting used to the bar shampoo/conditioner. I am in love with the eye and face whipped face cream. You only need a very little to cover your whole face, therefor the container will last a long time.

2016-07-19So nice to see a small local business successful. The products are amazing and so are the people that make them. They will do everything in their power to solve whatever skin problems you might have. Their everyday products are healthy and made from all natural and organic ingredients. I love the shampoo bars and buy their baby products and pet products as gifts. You cant go wrong with this small company!

2019-09-052nd update- my hair has been washed with only chagrin valley soap bars for over 1.5 years. My hair feels extremely soft and healthy. I barely wash or comb it and get compliments just about monthly. Its just boring straight middle aged hair, but it feels brand new!! I will never buy or use commercial bottled plastic chemical filled liquid shampoo again. I have been using the camp soap for my face and hands, with beautiful results. Save the earth, buy chagrin valley products.Spent a month in the deep woods this summer, and so much rather enjoyed the camp soap over Dr. Bronners for dishes, hands, body, hair, dog, all of it!!Update- just used the dog shampoo and it was as amazing as the experience of all your other products. Dogs fur... And my hair dry soo much faster. The dog seemed to enjoy the bath more than usual too! The smells are nice, again love the no plastic product, and the wider shape. It was the quickest easiest bath Ive ever given. Lathered quickly, washed out easy. Why did society ever go to bottled liquid soap....?!?!?Loyal customer since 2018. Love the no plastic initiative. Love the price. Love the product. Love that its all natural. Love that its local, American made. My hair and skin feel absolutely amazing. I feel and look younger!
