I have never been to this shoe repair prior to Saturday,nor will I return. My high expectation of service and quality, based on ratings and demographic location, were severely disappointing. I presented with a brand new pair of leather Nine West sandals and requested to have the ankle strap extended by 1 and quarter inch. I asked if this was possible, I was told, anythings possible, I advised after he inquired if I was attrned a special event, I stated unfortunately I was attending a funeral that afternoon. So the importance was established, I was charged $27.00, which I thought was a high price, but due to the time constraints and the level of expertise, ok I prepaid in full. I returned 3 hours later to a butchered, ruined pair of shoes. I was highly disappointed, my expectation of quality work was just as ruined as my shoes. But the excuse given, floored me..I was told because of the Cheap material made from china, was the reason my shoes were in such poor disrepair. I told him he Ruined, my brand shoes, they are butchered and scuffed.In returned I recieved its the materials and a shoulder shrug . No refund offered and because of the funeral time, I did not have the time to extend the conversation.im out $80.00 because of this.Go at your own risk
I’ve been taking my shoes here for more than 10 years even though there are shoe repair locations far closer to my home. I require a 1/2 inch lift in my right shoe. The quality and the results are the best.

I needed a heel replacement on my goodyear welted boots. He replaced them with the same (Dainite) brand and they look good as new. Quick turnaround and great quality craftsmanship. They also have a great selection of cleaning and conditioning products which I will be buying from in the future exclusively. Highly recommend and will be getting my soles replaced here when the time comes.

I’ve been going to Chagrin Shoe Repair for years. Just when I think my shoes or a purse can’t be repaired, they work their magic and my item is like new! Great service, quick turnaround and fairly priced.
I brought in an authentic World War II bomber coat to be repaired and cleaned and, when I would call to check on the status of the coat they would act like I never brought the coat in (I still had my receipt) it took them over a month to get my coat fixed and when I finally got it back the tear and, holes and, neck fasteners that was supposed to be repaired were just covered up and, after a couple of days the tears resurfaced. They never fixed or cleaned the coat and, if I wouldve kept up with my receipt I wouldve sued these people they charged me almost $400.00 for absolutely nothing.

Beautifully dyed my Christian Dior boots from maroon on top to all black! They look gorgeous. They also dyed a new pair of my fendi boots as well that I wanted all black but they had a sliver a blue on them on the toe. Highly recommend
I recently visited Chagrin Shoe, Leather & Luggage Repair to revitalize the leather uppers of several pairs of shoes. The toes were all scuffed up and it has been a few years since they have had a good polish.The sign over the store simply says, Chagrin Shoe Repair - see picture - they do luggage and leather goods repairs too.The store is located in a long strip mall known as Village Square in Woodmere, Ohio. There is plenty of free off-street parking at Village Square. The strip mall is located on the north side of Chagrin Boulevard. The strip mall is parallel to Chagrin Boulevard except for the eastern end where the Chagrin Shoe, Leather & Luggage Repair shop is located among other stores. The eastern end of Village Square strip mall angles to the northeast parallel to West Brainard Road. NOTE: The stores mailing address is Chagrin Boulevard.When you walk into the store, it has two sections. You enter a small space with a counter. The walls in this space are lined with shoe care products for sale and has two chairs available. Through an open walk thru in the wall, you can view a similar sized working area where various shoe repair equipment are located and cubby holes line one wall for shoes waiting for repair or waiting to be picked up.The store has two employees. An older gentleman who mans the front. The other gentleman is the craft person with several decades experience. They are both fun to chat with. They are very accommodating. One pair of work shoes/boots I brought in needed some TLC treatment. I was not in a hurry for them and they told me they would be ready the next day. They were ready the next day and looked great.The years of experience and knowledge is evident in the craftsmanship work. The quick turnaround of completed work is appreciated. You pay for the quality you get in return. I have not priced other shoe repair stores. I like the quality of work done here. The prices are not cheap but are far less expensive than shelling out money for a new pair of shoes.
Wonderful people and so nice to work with! They have cleaned many pairs of my shoes and have come back looking in new condition. I have also brought in high end designer bags and belts that came back looking fresh! Would highly recommend!
I brought in my mothers bag in to be repaired. Mind you she passed over ten years ago and this bag had been unattended for a long time. The repairmen proposed a price, gave me a ticket and off I went. When I was in entering my car, the owner came out into the parking lot calling my name. My mother had left over sixty dollars in the bag. I had no idea and I thanked them profusely for the finding it and returning it to me. When I picked up the bag a week later, it was like new. This little Pappagallo purse has new lease on life! And it is taking my siblings out to breakfast with the money it held for my mom the past ten years. Honest, fair, and good workmanship. I will whole heartedly endorse this shop.
Great shop for leather and shoe repair. Ive been here several times with all the boots I rescue online and all three heels I somehow destroy, and I always get them back looking like new! Prices are reasonable and turnaround time is good. I would definitely send my friends here.

I just had 3 pairs of shoes done...had the heels lowered and oh my goodness, theyre perfect!! It is like getting 3 brand new pairs of shoes for just $60. Very affordable. I had a pair of kitten heels that I wear to work 8 hours a day, so the heels were very warn down. I decided to choose this place, and the service was exceptional. My shoes look brand new. The repairs on both my shoes were quick and efficient. I was very pleased with my shoes and will certainly return in the near future for any more repairs I may need. Thank you!
Such a great local gem. I had a bag and one shoe that needed repaired and honestly both ended up looking better than when I bought them - Both items I may have just thrown away at one point but luckily I found these guys to fix them! The gentleman that I spoke with both times was so nice and they were both efficient and affordable! I will definitely be returning with any other leather/shoe repairs! Simply the best! Ive used them for shoe shines, shoe repair, even luggage repair, and they handle it all quickly, professionally, brilliantly, and cheaply. In fact, its so cheap that sometimes I feel like Im stealing from them. No reason to look or go anywhere else, as they simply cant be beat.
This is a great place to bring your shoes if you need them cleaned or repaired ! I brought in my air max 270’s and they made them look brand new and these shoes stain very easy and aren’t simple to clean because the colors will strip right off. They did an amazing job.

I am visiting from out of town and while here I needed some quick shoe repair work. I dropped off three pair of Wolverine boots that needed re-stitching and heel replacements. They did an excellent and quick job. Plus the boots were polished. They looked good as new. Highly recommend!

Dropped shoe off on Thursday to have the sole glued. Was told it would be ready on Saturday. Went to pick it up and shoe couldnt be found. Came back an hour later and the shoe had just been repaired. If it wasnt going to be repaired until i showed up why couldnt it have been repaired on Thursday when i dropped it off?
Great staff and excellent craftsmanship! I brought a pair of boots in to re-sole since I did not like the quality of the ones they came with. They put on some fantastic Vibram lug soles on and they look and feel great now! I will definitely be back to get the midsole replaced!

Recently had a pair of Sorel boots repaired here. The heel had come clean off after only two years and the manufacturer warranty is only for a year. After looking at them he said they would be able to repair it, I felt the price was very reasonable and the work was completely timely. I also liked when I picked them up he took the time to explain the materials Sorel used which caused the problem and how he used a different, more durable material to repair it. Overall I was impressed and will definitely return.
I drove from Wadsworth to bring several pairs of shoes to have the soles protected. Why?--because my first pair I took to Chagrin were a well- worn pair of Valentino booties, and they looked superb; they looked better than new. I just love how tightly fitted these guys get all the way to the edge of each and every shoe, whether its a tiny heal or a pointy red doled Louboutin heal. I highly recommend if youre going to purchase designer soft leather shoes to have them protected, and Id definitely take them to see Alex at Chagrin Shoe Repair.
Chagrin shoe repair is by far the best! My husband ruined his brand new shoes by getting them scratched under a door. He was ready to throw them out. Since I have been a long time customer I knew they might be able to help him out. They completely exceeded his expectations!! The shoes look pretty much brand new and you could barely see the rip in the leather. We were blown away by their expertise. On top of their amazing work they are also super friendly and welcoming. They always have your shoes done one time and are a pleasure to deal with. Definitely the best shoe repair in Cleveland!

After my dog had destroyed my wife’s very expensive Gucci shoes. I needed to come up with a solution, I ran across their reviews and decided to give them a try. When I first got there, I spoke with john and showed him what needed done he said I came to the right place, and he sure was right. The price seemed reasonable, and he got them done a few days ahead of schedule. After picking them up I don’t know that I could be happier with his work. My wife is happy, and gets to keep wearing her favorite shoes. And I don’t have to re-home our dog, which I’m sure will mean more business to them in the future!

Pre-Covid, I took a pair of suede loafers with a broken buckle to them and they did a great job fixing them. I have also taken mens dress shoes and boots here for re-soles and new heels which have also held up well thus far.For work boots, I only wear Red Wings and I recently took a pair here for a complete re-sole. Since these boots take a lot of abuse, I was hesitant taking them anywhere other than the manufacturer, but unrelated circumstances did not allow that anymore. Chagrin Shoe Leather & Luggage Repair put on new Vibram soles that were even more rugged than the OEM soles (they also cleaned and treated my boots). Over the past nine months of Covid lockdowns, this shop has remained open and promptly met all of my footwear needs, remaining professional and complying with mask regulations and keeping a clean shop.If you want to shop locally and sustainably, I highly recommend taking your shoes here for repair before throwing them away and buying new. They have done a great job giving new life to my work boots and dress shoes alike.

Simply the best! My dog has virtually destroyed shoes, purses etc and they have always repaired them to look brand new. Today my dog put 2 fairly large holes is a leather dress. All I can say is WOW! I brought a preloaded LV ellipse bag in for repair and cleaning. He took his time to look over it and gave me what I believed was a fair price. Took a little over a week, but I just picked up by bag today and I am very pleased. I will bring my other pieces in to him for cleaning and any repairs I may need in the future.

I brought a pair of Louboutins to Chagrin Shoe that I was told could not be lowered to get a second opinion by them. John took one look and said he was able to lower my heel height in a snap! Took my Louis Vuitton bag in to get repaired, was immediate greeted by a very nice gentleman who was able to tell me he can have my purse fixed in a week! When I arrived to pick it up..not only was it ready but it was definitely fixed to my liking ...thumbs up for fixing my purse...very professional
I took in a small leather carrying case, it belonged to my grandfather. I was getting it restored and patched for my father as a late Fathers Day gift. (Im not much of a planner.) They took genuine interest in the piece and really treated it as their own heirloom. They walked me though what they could see was wrong with the piece, mostly dry rot and it needed some patches. When I picked it up, we again went over what was done and I could see the piece was given new life. They let me know some limitations because of the repairs which was expected and also some good care tips. I was very impressed with the turn around time, around a week. And I was completely unaware of the affordability to repair it. When I presented it to my dad he was blown away. He had no idea it could look like that again. (True Hallmark moment) I cannot recommend these guys enough!

I took 9 pairs of my favorite shoes and boots in for polish and repair. I wasnt certain what to expect from Chagrin Shoe Repair, but my other option was to throw them in the trash and spend a lot of money on new shoes. I had a great pair of suede booties that were very dirty. They look like new. My Clark slouchy boots that I have worn for 3 winters look better than new. Im very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the cost effectiveness of repair over replacement.

I brought in my old, worn out, favorite riding boots that were in horrible condition. At first he didn’t think he could save them, but I explained that these were my favorite and that they don’t make this style anymore. He said he would try. I came back to get them and....they are like NEW!!! He did a FANTASTIC job!!! I’ve taken many shoes, and other things here. This place is THE BEST!!!

They promised my Ferragamo bag in 2 weeks and it was ready in 1 week. It came back looking brand new. I just moved back from Newport Beach California and they had great shoe and bag repairs as well. Chagrin Shoe Repair is better! Their customer service is great and their quality is excellent.
The toe of one of my leather boots was in pretty bad shape. I scrapped really bad and did not think they were repairable, or at least to the level of being unnoticeable. I wish I could remember the owners name. It was first time and he did a fabulous job and the really bad damage was unnoticeable.

True craftsmanship! I took my Fount Hazelnut Belle Tote there to see if it could be salvaged due to bleach spots on it. I walked in sad thinking that there was no hope and my expensive bag was now garbage, but NO! They fixed it and it looks brand new again!! I’m am so happy with the quality, service and craftsmanship! Very professional, friendly. Walked in needing a snap moved further out on a leather holster and they took care of it immediately. They were able to use the same snap and fill in the hole from the original postion. Great price, awsome service.
I had almost lost hope for my LV bag- it needed help. I even tried the Louis Vuitton store… They told me there was not much they could do. The owner took one look at my bag, and said I can fix this. They cleaned the inside and the out and it looks almost new. It’s a 10 year old leather LV. They called me a week before I was expecting it to be ready. Great service all around.

Went here on a whim to fix my favorite pair of Docs that were coming apart. The owner fixed it within 10 minutes of me coming in and they’ve never looked better, and the price was very reasonable. I had them fixed once before somewhere else and they broke, but these are holding up well. Plus, the owner is so friendly and funny. Definitely coming back here in the future if I need more repairs.
I have had multiple experiences with Chagrin Shoe Leather & Luggage Repair. The first was for y beloved cowboy boots, which were built with a leather sole, but needed a rubber sole put on for harsh Cleveland winters. Chagrin put the original rubber sole on those, and replaced them after 5 years of continuous wear.In addition, Ive taken two pairs of dress shoes to be repaired: both needed new heel taps put on, and they also recommended re-soling one of the pairs because of the damage. Its not something I would have though of, and was glad for their recommendation.Im more than happy to keep taking my beloved shoes to Chagrin Shoe Leather & Luggage Repair - they have amazing workmanship and their turnaround time is pretty expedient. I dont think Ive ever been in there that there wasnt an entire wall of shoes, purses and luggage being worked on.I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I needed the heels cut down on two pair of shoes due to knee repair surgery. I will no longer give another pair of shoes away!! My new heels are easy to wear AND the customer service was phenomenal!! Great service at an excellent price!!
Ive brought my shoes here a few times to have Vibram soles added to the red bottoms of my Louboutins. They did amazing work on those...and just recently I had an accident and ruined my light blue over the knee Stuart Weitzman boots. They managed to get them clean!!! They look just like new. I love this place and will continue bringing my high end shoes to them for repairs!

This place is the best! They were able to fix an old big winter jacket zipper for me and it is STRONG! They also have fixed a zipper on my favorite backpack. I would trust them with anything! Highly recommend.
I brought in a pair of boots that needed to be resoled. The owner of the store said he could have them ready in a week. The next day, my friends invited me on a weekend hiking trip, and - unfortunately - my boots would not be ready in time. I returned to the store and asked if it would be possible to have them ready two days earlier than originally agreed upon. To my delight, the owner was more than accommodating, and in two days time I picked up my boots without hassle. It cost me $70, the workmanship was flawless and the customer service exemplary.

Called them on Saturday morning at 9:30 am, October 18, 2014 and the person was very rude - absolutely horrible customer service. Would not give me an estimate of the cost. Wonder how has it got so many positive ratings. I bet more than half of them might be internal ratings.Charles Shoe repair on Lyndhurst is much better, excellent customer service, returned my shoes on the same day and gave me an estimate on the phone.
He repaired two pairs of my girlfriends shoes and her Burberry purse. She’s very happy so I am too. He was personable and professional when we picked them up. Can’t ask for much more.
If you want quality workmanship with a smile, I would highly recommend going to Chagrin Shoe Repair. I have been utilizing their services for 8+ years and I have been more than pleased by all of their work. I take high end products to them - Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga, Kooba - because I would not trust anyone else to complete the repairs. They are reasonably priced and I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I even drive 20+ miles to take my belongings to be repaired . . . I pass many repair shops in my drive to come see them and I would never go anywhere else!
Have been looking for a really good shoe repair shop for ages. I finally one!!! Alex and John are awesome. I keep finding more shoes for them to repair.
I normally don’t do online reviews but I had to this time. Thank u John & Alex 4 the excellent customer service I received 2day. I knew of this place after googling a couple summers ago 2 get a sandal fixed. 2day I took in a pair of leather riding boots 2 b stretched, wasn’t sure if it could b done. John stopped what he was working on 2 help me get into my beautiful boots. He did this while I waited. Even took the time 2 have me try the boots on a couple times 2 b sure they stretched good enough 4 me 2 fit them. Ladies, I have a large calf & it is difficult 2 find a tall wide calf leather boot that fits. John was able 2 stretch my boots. I was sooo happy & very appreciative. What a blessing, I was about 2 give up & something told me 2 give them a call. So glad I did. Ladies if u have this same problem, take ur boots in, I’m sure they can help u! Thanks again John & Alex! I had a new pair of leather shoes that were stained by some peanut oil and I was convinced they were ruined. Chagrin Shoe dyed the shoes and made them look like they were new again. I never would have imaged they would have been able to restore the shoes the way they did...fantastic job, customer for life!
I gave them a large Louis Vuitton tote to clean after my kids melted chocolate in the bottom of the bag. They did a great job and cleaned it so well you never knew it happened. Quick turn around and very professional.
My puppy got hold of my best pair of Loubotins...almost chewed through the entire heel and outside layer of the right shoe. The master cobblers repaired it perfectly! Alex has repaired many things for my family over the years and always does a great job. He most recently re-sold a pair of boots for my grandpa. This brand has not been made in many years and has lots of sentimental value. Keep up the good work!

Brought in a pair of boots that someone else had already tried to repair-- they were difficult (no zipper, heel broken off, etc). It took longer than I had hoped, but now they are functioning perfectly and in fantastic condition. Reasonable pricing, trustworthy staff.
They are miracle workers! The heels of my Christian Louboutin shoes got torn up walking through gravel. They completely restored the heels as well as returning the bright red bottoms to their original state. The shoes look brand new! I HIGHLY recommend you take your favorite shoes here!
They did a great job on an older pair of Allen Edmonds loafers that I had stopped wearing. They did the work quickly and were very reasonably priced. I’ll be returning with additional pairs.

He does everything that me and my wife could ever ask for when it comes to repairs of Shoes, purses, boots... and last week I brought in three pairs of Allen Edmonds top of the line shoes and my wifes Christian Louboutin shoes and they came out flawless! Had luggage wheels replaced. The only reason I gave them a star is because they where fast. Less than a day but the work was terrible. The bolts where to small for the wheels and not long enough for the suitcase wheel opening. The wheels wobbled and slid back and forth along the bolt. I went to lowes and got the right sized bolts and made spacers to keep wheels centered. Last time I ever use them 41 dollars for 2 wheels BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

Warning if you are a strong male figure with coarse hair texture stay as far away from this establishment as possible the big guy in the front greets me with a highly energized everybody wants to be white comment huh,needless to say they mangled my super expensive considering todays times alligator shoes .I had them to dye them from white to black and I mean it looked like a kindergartner did them ,stains galore all inside the shoes ,parts of the outside tongue deep in the crevice where you would have to have the shoes off to see,still white.he the guy that died them didnt even come out and give reference to anything commendable about the job I paid him to do for me considering what he even said hisself when I dropped them off where very nice shoes .he just hid in that back room while this look like eight foot tall retired and went back to work looking supremicist just snatch your credit card from you inconspicuously ,and then lay it down on the counter instead of handing back to you in your hand person out front tried his best to get some drama going so he could in my opinion call the police and get everything to go in his favor when they show up.if I could give zero stars I would but you cant type a opinion without at least pressing one.

2022-04-02Wow! Talk about going above and beyond my expectations! If you dont want to read the novel Im about to write, just know that this team of experts did the impossible on a sentimental pair of shoes that we were sure would be trash. I will return in the future!My husband and I got married in October 2021 and we also adopted kittens at the same time. Due to the lack of in-person religious gatherings, he hasnt worn his dress shoes since our wedding. Instead of letting these shoes sit quietly in the closet, our kittens successfully tore the toes of his shoes to shreds during their teething phase. In preparation to return to in-person fellowship this week, my husband took a look at his shoes last week and sadly announced that they were ruined beyond repair. While he left for work, I scoured the internet for reputable cobblers with at least 10+ years in business and found Chagrin Shoe Repair. I brought them in and was greeted with a friendly smiling face and an immediate promise: I can fix the shoes. He did let me know that they might not be perfect because of the dye of the shoe, but I was guaranteed a fix.I returned to pick up the shoes today and Id be lying if I said I wasnt nervous to see them. The same kind man at the counter greeted me and ushered another gentleman to the back to get the shoes. When he brought them to the counter, I couldnt breathe for a few seconds - the shoes were shined to perfection with not a single bite mark in site. I immediately texted my husband that his shoes were fixed and looked brand new, and he was thrilled, as am I.I was a loyal customer to my past cobbler until he moved and retired, and the same is now true of this incredible team at Chagrin Shoe Repair. I will be back, but hopefully not because my kittens ruined my shoes. :)*** I didnt think to take a before picture, but heres the after, including one of the two culprits!

2022-03-30Been coming here for years and theyre always fantastic. Good quality work, reasonable, and will get stuff done in a hurry for you if necessary. I stopped in today expecting to leave two pairs of shoes for some minor surgery. The owner pulled out his tools and handed me my shoes back a few minutes later. I wasnt paying attention so I dont know how he did it. Amazing; and he wouldnt charge me. Highly recommended!

2022-04-03I am so impressed by the quality of their work. I took a pair of shoes to a different shoe repair shop and was told they were not repairable, which I was very disappointed to hear. I took them to Chagrin Shoe Repair and they were repaired so well and look brand new!!! They also repaired a purse that had stains on it and it also looks brand new. Very highly recommend!

2022-05-09I was visiting from out of town and came in on a Monday morning for help with a faulty wheel on my suitcase. My flight was departing that afternoon and I had minimal time to get a repair. The owner was gracious enough to stop what he was working on and spent 30 minutes working on the repair for me. His fee was more than reasonable and I was grateful he understood the urgency. The owner chatted with me while making the repair and I enjoyed talking with him. Highly recommend this business.

2022-03-23They did an awesome job on the boots I brought to them for my wedding. I was afraid that they wouldnt get finished in time. They told me they would be ready in a week but called me 3 days early to come pick them up. And the price was not as bad as I thought it would be. Ill definitely come back here for anything else I need. They were extremely nice and helpful.

2022-01-22The service provided by this store is very honest in pricing and the quality of work speaks for itself. Also, the gentleman who runs the store is a quality person. When I was there one time I watched as another customer said that he left his wallet in the car and he needed to get it to pay him for the work he did. The customer ended up leaving without paying and I asked him if he would be so trusting of people given what happened. He said that he would not stop trusting people and that he knows that the money he lost would come back to him one day. That is the type of person I want to handling the repairs of my shoes and bags and generally deal with in life and business.

2022-02-01I went into Chagrin Shoe Repair with the hopes of dyeing my ivory wedding shoes black, so I can wear them at future events. I did not expect for them to turn out so stunning!!
