The crew was very respectful and took care to protect our garden. We needed numerous boards to be replaced. The team fit the new boards in place as if they were the originals. There was a mistake in deck stain color by Sherwin Williams. Once the error was discovered the crew stepped up and took action to remedy the issue.I would recommend Chagrin Home Improvements team.
Joe and his team were outstanding. I had two decks cleaned, repaired and stained. They were careful with attention to detail, and answered my questions. In addition to staining the decks, they power washed the brick walkways, made some minor repairs, and painted a door frame that had been newly installed. They were particularly careful about the kind of stain applied, explaining that not all stains react the same depending on what had been applied in the past. The product they chose looks terrific and blends nicely with the wood grain. I will definitely use them again.
Joe and his crew scheduled us as soon as he could. They got it done quickly. Powerwashed, primed and stained our deck to make it look oh so much better. Good people to deal with.

Outstanding Service Company. Joe and his team treated our deck and pavers as if they were living there. The crew performed the power washing and cleaning our deck and patio pavers to a very high standard. When it was time to stain the deck the Foreman showed me the colors available and gave me his recommendation based on our deck and his years of experience. They took care to mask windows and non deck areas and we are SO PLEASED with the professional results. We have used Chagrin Home Improvements now for our deck, our roof wood shingles and paver courtyards numerous times.

Im really pleased with CHI and I plan to use them for future projects. This past summer they cleaned and stained my deck, as well as some exterior trim on the front of my house. They also cleaned and treated my teak furniture. Joe Jacobs was very responsive and professional from beginning to end. I was not here (as it turned out, not intentionally) when they performed the work, but my neighbors told me how impressive the crew was in my absence. The work was of really high quality and very neatly done. I continue to receive many compliments on the finished project and I will most certainly use them again.

After getting several estimates, we decided to use Chagrin Home Improvements to power wash and refresh the paint on the trim of our house. Not only was the price reasonable, but the work was meticulous. They put in several full days work making sure everything was done correctly and communicated with us throughout to make sure we were happy. We love the end result! Impressive! This word describes the experience of having a difficult IPE deck stained. The process begins with a thorough power wash of the IPE deck. Then after a couple days of drying, the tedious process of applying penofin oil and wiping off the excess. There is pride in the work and the results. The weather looked like it was going to be sunny, when a a thunder burst rained on the 23 hour deck. After the rain Joe showed up with a blower to blow the rain off the deck. Usually, we have to make a call but that is what is most remarkable. This is real customer service and again so impressive. I have used Joe‘s company a couple of times over the last few years and the work is always fantastic.The members of his crew perform their jobs like surgeons. They are meticulous in their prep, set up, masking, taping, tarping, the performance of the actual task and ultimately the cleanup. They have always left my home in better shape than they found it. They use their pressure washing wands and all the multiple attachments like artists. And their paint work and deck staining is done with the utmost care. Not a drop anywhere. Perfect coverage. Long lasting protection.I would recommend Joe Jacobs and Chagrin Home Improvements emphatically. And if you want the proof all you need to do is drive by my home!

2022-02-10We hired Chagrin Home Improvements to refinish and paint all of the walls on the first floor of our home. It was not an easy job, with the removal of wallpaper, and fixing lots of damage. They were fabulous! Bill, Evan, Wade and Mick were such nice, hardworking men. They worked quickly, cleanly, and did such a great job. Our home feels like a completely new and fresh space! Worth every penny!

2022-06-19A neighbor had used Chagrin Home Improvements for their deck refurbishment and it looked great so we decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed. The first two employees, who’s names I regretfully didn’t write down, did very needed and somewhat difficult carpentry repairs and then power washed our large lower deck. A few days later, a second crew, Albin and Bill, came to tape and then stain the deck, and even made a recommendation to stain one part of the stairway that originally had been painted, and it looked so much better! Everyone was professional and courteous, and Joe was very responsive to my communications with him. We are quite satisfied with the beautiful result! Joe, it has been a pleasure to work with you, and there are two more of our decks awaiting your care in the future. Thanks!

2022-02-07Joe and his team far exceeded my expectations. They were extremely professional, skilled and efficient. Our walls had been used and abused over the years, and they put in meticulous work removing wallpaper, skim coating and sanding to smooth the walls. After they painted the walls and moulding, our home looks new again! I will certainly call them again for further needs!

They painted the shutters on my house and we love the quality work they did. They were meticulous in their prep work thoroughly power washing the shutters and taping everything off - I requested the shutters not to be removed - then two coats of high-quality paint. Couldnt be happier with the finished result!
