Was beautiful weather was perfect. Its been few years since I last visited. And I had never visited the shops until today. It was a great trip and we also went across the street to little falls on other side they have river with ducks and geese and even a playground which my daughter enjoyed along with her ice cream. Its definitely something worth experiencing.
Very pretty waterfall, and perfect day for a walk around downtown Chagrin Falls. Lunch at 17 River Grille, wonderful. Soft serve Custard at the Popcorn Tin.
The falls are beautiful! Getting to them in the summer, not so much. This quaint town is bustling in the summer, so parking is at a premium and traffic is busy. We managed to find a spot and took the stairs to the viewing platform. Still, worth a quick visit if you can find a parking spot!
Nice little place to visit and check out. Quaint little town and falls. Soothing and relaxing sounds of the falls. If out n about nice lil road trip on the bike or car.
My wife, daughter and a friend went to see the falls and check out some of the shops. We all had a great time. The falls are very nice, the shops are unique and very friendly. Worth the trip.
Never disappointed. Cute town with river walk. Arts and unique shops including the best Toy shop ever.Good selection of food, restaurants with views of river and waterfall.Arts and Crafts Festival was exceptional.

Beautiful town featuring a large natural waterfall and a mill dam. You can walk stone steps to the base of the waterfall for excellent photos, or take pictures from the viewing area above. You will see unique rocks, plants, fishermen and who knows what else around the falls.Very well maintained historic buildings and homes nearby. A large sycamore tree stands near the falls within a park. Benches for sitting.
Southern Chagrin reservation is a beautiful place for family and friends for hiking! Falls are the highlight place to go! Can be viewed on both sides of the river and at different levels. The water falls are beautiful by viewing from top to going down the bottom!
Visited on a rainy weekend and wow not what I expected to see at all. I appreciate that the town has actually turned this natural feature into something you can visit and admire instead of just walk past.
A lovely natural waterfall. I can’t avoid stopping for a few minutes every time I’m passing by.Love this place.Note, — do not confuse the fall with the little dam no the origem side of the bridge :-)
Serene, gorgeous downtown area. There is access to see the man made falls & parking on the bridge. If you want to see the natural larger falls you must go across the street & and down a paved walkway to stairs. They were slick at the bottom. There is a path that is steep down to rocky shoreline to get pictures from below. There are benches at top of walkway & in little park by man made falls.
Its such a historical and amazing place to experience.Shops, cafes, bistros, boutiques and restaurants are available.During summer its a great place to explore and get in the water as well.
Incredible waterfalls. The area was closed off due to ice on the stairs, but the view was still beautiful. The area surrounding the falls has a friendly vibe also. If you have about 20 minutes to kill, go there and enjoy the scenery
Me and my woman went to the Cherry Blossom Festival it was a very nice time and people were friendly the food was good kids riding rides everywhere so if you have a family young kids will love the place all in all with a good time going to do it again next year

Lovely waterfall. You can go down to the bottom of the fall through the stairs. Small town surrounding this fall. Good options around for casual meal, coffee and Ice-cream.
Really feeling the Christmas when I saw the decorations around the site, especially after the snow where stairs and walkways were full blank with beautiful lighting aside. A late night visit turned to a great memory in Cleveland !
A little crowded, but a beautiful place! Love the fact that you can access the bottom of the falls! Also a lot of nice little shops here as well!
This is a big, powerful, Waterfall, nestled in a small town area, filled with shops, and restaurants, some of them have the waterfalls as the scenery of their outdoor dining experience! There are stairs that lead down to the waterfalls edge, with benches along the way. I had my lunch there today. This will take you back in time, its very nostalgic.
Two parts to the falls split by the road. One side is a cascade and the other is the falls. You can get really close to the falls via the steps. Good picture can be taken on either side. Can get crowded, and not much parking.
The Falls area is a safe, fun, family oriented town. Be sure to check out this hidden gem when visiting the northeast Ohio area.

Here is a fine example of a block falls and you barely have to get out of your car. you can get down to the bottom from some shops on the rights side or try to find some parking on the left side of the falls. but be careful where you park. i when in January and there was some ice so they closed down the stair cases. im not sure if they closed it down for the winter but you can see it from the bridge or the left side pretty good. the for pictures would be at the bottom. either way it easy to find a worth seeing. when you done viewing the falls you can go across the street and visit a pretty cool popcorn shop.

They have a beautiful waterfall to enjoy. Nice little town to walk through and shop. Then go get a nice dinner and finish it off with some popcorn from the popcorn store.
What a beautiful spot! The village has done a wonderful job of making views of the waterfall accessible from both sides. Be sure to slide between the Daves Cosmic Subs and Jekyll’s Kitchen to grab a view from the north side; you won’t be as close but it’s beautiful!
Beautiful waterfall. Beautiful at night too with the led lights shining on the water. Great area to be at with that special lady in your life.
Very picturesque. The river that feeds the waterfall runs right under the main street of the town. There is a bridge right over the falls where you can stand and enjoy the view. There is also a multi-level deck and viewing platform built into the bluff just downstream of the falls.
Gods white land in winter, greenland in summer, land of colours in fall...We enjoy the hot chocolate of the popcorn shop, old architecture of the 19th century, the restaurants and the horse riding! Dreamy place...All the time! 😍😇
We came to Chagrin Falls to get Jenis and had to stop by and see the falls.Theres street parking, but we opted to park in the big parking lot by Heinens (and even that was packed).The falls is cool to see. My husband commented on how muddy it is. Its usually crowded by the falls, but people must have been focused on the street market going on because it was empty when we were there.Take some time to walk along the river on the other side of the street. Its really pretty and I like it even better than the falls.Its a neat thing to stop and see when youre in Chagrin Falls.

Relaxing and absolutely beautiful. Nearby park, library, restaurants, and coffee shops definitely invite you to spend the whole day there 😀

Because of the heavy rains we ha just had in the area the water was very dirty and moving very fast, but still pretty.

Hands down, one of the most charming little towns Ive ever seen. This place feels like its ripped out of an early Steven Spielberg movie.

Love the beauty of the Chagrin Falls, I came here with my father on a Sunday drive. We always stopped for ice cream as we did today. I miss my Dad and this brought many thoughts of joy. Was so glad to share this day with my partner! Cold and damp but we did it.

Just a Beautiful ExperienceI took my 3cyear old granddaughter there.We packed up a lunch and got in the car and had our lunch on one of the picnic tables by the falls, then sat on the steps to k watch the ducks And Topped it off with...Ice cream @ the popcorn shop !It was great And everyone was so friendly.Does not get any better than that. 😊

Beautiful, quaint area to walk around, get an ice cream and watch the waterfalls. Theres no hiking right here though, I suggest the nearby South Chagrin Reservation for hiking before or after taking in the falls.
Ive seen this place mentioned in Ohio newsletters, but never had the opportunity to visit. Finally did and worth the stop. The falls are right in downtown with easy to access views. It is in a quaint little shopping district with boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and a nice park. The locals are very fortunate to have a gem like this in their backyard.

Beautiful. And the town surrounding the falls is amazing. Part Andy Griffith, part any upscale city. You wont be disappointed. Just make sure you see the falls over the Popcorn Shoppe (worth a visit for sure). The Falls never gets old. Great restaurants (Yours Truly, M Italian and more)! Fun shopping. Shout out to @mymindfulmarket. Very cool store and dog friendly!
A great place to go. Really peaceful. You can walk the street too and experience the small-town feel. Coffee shops, ice cream and restaurants all within minutes of this place. Parking can be tough depending on what time you go.

My niece and I took a road trip from toledo to chagrin falls. It was worth the two hour drive and we greatly enjoyed our day. We had lunch and walked around the town and saw the falls of course. They are beautiful as is the town. Well be back!

A very beautiful, wonderful and very comfortable place. One of the most important places that I visited. It is like Niagara Falls. I advise you to visit this wonderful place.
Urban park and waterfall. Cute town. Was there on a Friday about 11 am, and parking was problematic. Not sure if worse on weekends. No swimming in the water, but you wouldnt want to. Water is really dirty! Brown foam collects at bottom of falls in the slower moving parts of the river.
The snow made it breathe taking beautiful one could get easily lost in the Falls.
Its very nice to visit, ample parking space, picnic spot, nature at its best.
This was our fist stop for our water falls trip and boy it set the bar fairly high for the ones to follow. The upper falls was cool. But take a walk across the street and down the boardwalk to the falls and we were blown away. Im glad we walked across the street lol. And a beautiful town to visit as well. We will come back

The falls are absolutely beautiful!!! There are wonderful shops and fantastic restaurants all within walking distance! It was a beautiful way to spend a Fall afternoon!!! We will definitely be going back!!! I highly recommend!!!!

I love taking my family to the falls...its something we do every year....multiple times. The falls are awesome, theres a playground for the kids, and The Popcorn shop and Jennis ice cream is worth the trip in itself. If you are thinking about it....dont hesitate...just go!

Very pretty area that is fun to explore. If Im in the area I always make time to stop at the falls and stroll down the river bank. Its great for pictures and its just a fun spot to hang out at with friends or solo. Plus the town itself is very charming with good food options to stop at before or after a food water stroll.

One of the true destination places in Northern Ohio. The town is very quaint and the waterfalls on either side of the main road are beautiful year round. Lots of boutiques and eateries.
Its a nice, relatively short, waterfall. Its great for wadding, but isnt much to look at. The path along the side makes for a pleasant walk.

Beautiful place the reason for only 4 stars is that we stopped there to go to Jennys icecream place and the hours were changed. They were opening at 6 PM instead of noon. Alot of places were closed in town. We came from Pittsburgh heading to Cleveland on a Monday.

My husband and I went to The falls today it was very nice very romantic we enjoyed ourselves and we also saw a hot air balloon it was very nice we enjoyed ourselves

My kids love this place. In the summer l, we walk down and watch the water, then head up for some ice cream. In the winter, the same only we mail our letters to Santa across the street. Then we head up the street to see Santa and watch the toy trains, then we head to Starbucks to get hot chocolate. Cute and quaint neighborhood!

Great place to visit for a date or just for some fun time. The scenery is lovely year round. Lots of old fashioned shops line the streets. Parking near the falls are limited so plan to park some ways away if the giant eagle lot is full.

A beautiful waterfall without a hike. We were a little disappointed to see, what appeared to be, large piles of detergent foam along the shore.

Falls were partially frozen was gorgeous.
Ive always loved nature and I seen baby geese. Tried to help the one because it was injured but before I could return it was to far floating in the water but something is wrong with the one baby. But the view and area are beautiful lots of attractions enjoyed the popcorn shop as well.

Such a great calming place
Visited this waterfall several times and am always struck by its beauty! I tried my best to capture it in a picture but cant even begin to do it justice. I highly recommend that anyone visit this place. There is a parking lot that is right next to the waterfall and there are maybe only 50 stairs to descend to the bottom. Also check out the local stores and restaurants. Lots of great things to do nearby as well!
Beautiful, peaceful, maintained walkways with railing. Stairs..no ramps. Not handicap accessible down to the water.

We used to live in Chagrin. My oldest brother and I have been wishing that we were able to grow up in this town. It was a small but interesting place. We used to help clean the Federated Church with our stepfather. The main sanctuary was amazing, to me. It was the first time that Id ever seen a pipe organ. I have no idea how the little place, that we will always call home, has developed. But, it must really be special for us to relocate to TN in 1980, here we are in 2019 and....we want to come home.

Every time I come to town I visit the Falls. This time I went for the farmers market. After checking out the vendors, we walked around the square and down to the Falls. It was a wonderful and relaxing day.
Wonderful spot for tourists and locals, and friends and family. Very peaceful and relaxing outdoor time. Its also in a great location with a variety of interesting local shops around it to visit and support.
A complete disappointment, not at all what the small town used to be. Maybe because its too close to Cleveland then got Middlefielded. The buildings are still made of brick and wood but they are filled with plastic. I used to go to Ricks Cafe and get the best ribs in the world all you can eat one day a week, now its used to be Ricks with a flower on the sign out front which matches a lot of the free roaming queer people that I saw wandering up and down the streets. No one on the street was there for business but just plastic people doing plastic things in plastic storefronts. And they were mostly all content thinking this was exactly what a small Ohio town really is which is the farthest thing from the truth. I used to buy some very fine swiss cheese there at the wine store but its all gone and the only one I saw was about $8 a sip at the grocery store, which was under constant surveillance from the ground and the air, that chilled my spirits to the point of making a circle right back out the same door we came in. We thought the old hardware store would save face a little bit but it was another grand disappointment that had none of the things that we needed, the old gal at the register would not look up to acknowledge our presents or give friendly smile, or even an unfriendly one for that matter. It was an awful day. A complete waste. I only wish that I would have never gone back and remembered it for what it used to be.

Its such a picturesque spot. You can go there and just hang out above, on either side, or below the falls. Every viewing point is magical. And of course the quaint little town caters to that. Dont miss getting ice cream from the store just above the falls. And ... if youre a cyclist. . Chagrin River Road just a couple miles away is a beyond compare beautiful ride.
This fall is easy to get to since it is right in town. But the fall is not the only thing to see here. Chagrin Falls is a cute little kitschy town. Check out Daves Subs and the popcorn shop downtown. If you have a little time, stop and eat lunch somewhere in Chagrin Falls and walk around a bit.

I have just returned to the Cleveland area and how are North East North Ohio northeast Ohio and I was looking at places Id like to see again. This was one that I really enjoyed 30 40 years ago and now that I am back will hopefully be able to take a visit to the area.

2022-01-20Beautiful waterfalls that flow right through Main Street with a lovely path to view them.Waterfalls are wonderful and when they’re this convenient, you just have to admire them. The lovely downtown area is built up around the falls. As you walk down Main Street, there is a staircase to view the falls right by the popcorn shop.With it being winter, the Chagrin River was mostly frozen including a good amount of the falls. You can’t completely stop this force of nature as water flowed through in multiple areas creating a beautiful scene. Take a few minutes to admire before you enjoy the great shops nearby.

2022-06-13Quaint little falls. The river winds through the city and you can walk down it if you have the agility and a good pair of waterproof boots. Lots of old rocks and fossils and bits of history lining the Chagrin River. Really peaceful to sit beside.

2021-08-08This place was beautiful! Nice little hidden jem! Cute little town. The waterfall has stairs to get down to it. Not very long stairs. But no wheelchair/stroller access to the falls. Although there is a restaurant on the other side you could get an amazing look at as well!!

2022-05-25These falls in quaint little village of Chagrin Falls are so picturesque. Beautiful in the warm months. Foreboding in the winter when they are frozen.

2021-11-07Quiet and small town area of many interesting shops. Beautiful waterfall easily seen. Steps to access river are gone. Erosion. A no swimming sign went up.
