Century Cycles in other cities:
Family and I just experienced the coolest bike ride. We rented our bikes with the best customer service from Mr. Tim. He was super helpful and kind. Mr. Tim shared all that we needed to know and even engaged my kids on things to look for on the trails. When we returned our bikes Mr. Tim was there to greet us with kind eyes behind his mask. Truly invested in our bike ride. Asking “how did it go?” After wife came back from settling out bill, she so pleased by how the owners treated her. We will be back. Thank you for this great experience.Blessings-Harriotts
Fantastic service! We made reservations to rent a couple road bikes while we were visiting family in the area. The shop was very helpful and able to answer all of our questions which made for a wonderful riding experience. Thank you to everyone at the shop, and we hope to rent from you again in the future!
I purchased a bike from the Rocky River shop, best customer service I have received. We drove down 2.5 hours to pick up the bike since they were the closest shop with it in stock, and it was well worth the drive. Thank you again Century Cycles, you rock!!! Oh and did I mention they are super helpful and extremely knowledgeable? Just go visit them, you won’t regret it.
Wow! I am so pleased with the service I received at Century Cycles - Rocky River. Matt and the crew worked on my vintage bike, replacing cables and housings, and checking everything to make it road-worthy, again. It shifts through the gears as smoothly as brand new, which is incredible. They went beyond great service, by locating a very difficult-to-find, tube to fit my tire. I could not be happier with their friendly, knowledgeable service!
Amazing! I stopped by just as they were closing and was going to go home and try another day but they took my bike in and luckily all it needed was air in the tires. They really went above and beyond what they needed to and what I expected and I super appreciate it! They stayed late to help me out when they absolutely did not have to and I just wanted to say thanks again!
Century Cycles is my “go-to” bike shop, because of the knowledgeable, skilled staff and the excellent selection of biking products for all manner of cyclists. As a long-time, avid cyclist with a stable of five bikes, I greatly appreciate having a quality shop that I can count on. That’s why I have a Century Cycles’ sticker proudly displayed on car. Thanks to Scott and everyone on his team.
Great customer service. I know very little about bikes. The staff was extremely helpful. Very willing to help a novice and no pressure to buy that day. Actually decided to rent a bike for a day before making decision to buy. Could not be more pleased with their explanations and patience. Great service!
Friendly helpful service. The professionals really helped in choosing the right bike for my daughter. I bought some accessories for another bike i purchased elsewhere and they installed for no charge. Ever since Schneiders bike shop closed i have been looking for a place and i finally found it.
Placed a deposit to purchase a bike over the phone once the employee told me they offered a 10% military discount, which I thought was very generous and was grateful for. Then I received a call back 20 minutes later for them to apologize and say that they actually do not offer a military discount on bicycles. Seemed a little unprofessional to wait until after I place a deposit to change their mind or find out for sure about the discount.
I love Century Cycles! I had a major time crunch but needed to get my bike checked out before I left for school; they we able to help me with a quick fix, and showed me what to do if it happened again. I will definitely be brining my bike back for a tune up in the winter!!
Previously avid cyclist getting back into the game after a 30 year hiatus. This shop I found after going to 3 other shops where I found horrible attitudes. Amazing incompetent mechanics and really no help. When I found this shop I then have refurbished my 1993 MTB with parts from here, buying new supplies and new Park tools, renting a new road bike and then having some advanced maintenance done to a new carbon bike I bought. This place is great. No snobbery from the employees, prices are reasonable, Mechanic work that I have had done when I didnt know the job has been of excellent quality. I pass 2 other high end stores in Lakewood to get here. I pass another one on my way home from work to go to this Century Cycles location. The Century Cycles shop is my favorite. Krista, Matt and Josh have been great for me. Every time I come in there I feel like I belong and I dont want go anywhere else. I am ramping up for a great 2019 year of cycling and fitness as soon as that temp gets north of 40 degrees. This shop will be a large part of that process.
My bike was hit by a car in Rocky River and I immediately took the bike to the nearest bike shop. Fortunately that bike shop was Century Cycle. Amongst the global bike-parts-shortage, they were able to find the part in their Peninsula store and get my bike fixed in a timely manner. Thank you!
Stopped in to drop an old bike off for a new rear tire. Both people behind the counter jumped in and replaced it and pretty much just tuned my bike up. Ten minutes later I am gone and my bike rides smoother than it has in years. They were pleasant and I will think very hard about buying anything else from another store. Excellent service and the store has a good vibe. Was recommended to Century Cycles by my granddaughter...I see why.
Ive been visiting bike shops since buying my first performance bike in 1974. Simply put, this is by far the best bike shop ive shopped at. The entire crew is comprised of highly skilled cycling technicians who also have very good people skills,.They treat their customers very well. They are always reasonable, always willing to work with me with repair costs and where warranty replacements are in order. I highly recommend Century Cycles. p.s. my home store is Rocky River.
Fair prices given their amazing service. I was in here and was blown away by how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was. If you arent a big biker - Im a complete novice - this is a great place to go to get expert knowledge and wide variety of options. They let me test a few bikes out in the area. Highly recommended!
We went on a Sunday to get our 5 year old son his first bicycle. Our salesman was Matt: the whole buying process was fantastic. Cannot think of a more professional guy, who showed us several options, gave us great advice and, despite being a very busy day at the store, took all the time to make our experience wonderful. Highly recommend them!
Went there with a broken bicycle, unsure of what happened to cause it to break, about 30 minutes before they closed for the night (Tuesday). Not only was it a nice looking store with anything/everything youd need related to cycling (they had unicylces also), but they were able to replace a broken derailleur in a matter of minutes. The entire time he was answering questions, explaining what caused it to break and the process of how to fix it. A+ Customer Service and would highly recommend stopping in to check it out. Taylor was the guy who helped me, much appreciated!
Well, its not bad....but its not good. Just a heads up. Came in there about 10 mos ago looking for a bike. Knew what I kind of wanted, but am a bit on the tall side. Was pretty much told that you couldnt help me...so I went elsewhere, to a place that DID help me. And 3 bikes and about $6000 later? Ive found a great home.Work on that. you guys lost a lot of past and future business. Im on my next build now....another $3000?
Couldn’t get my road bike repaired there (or even addressed in terms of a plan for service) despite 20+ years of patronage, numerous bike purchases, and decades of loyalty. While COVID-19 has made bike retail “crazy” the current customer approach at CC is grossly disappointing. Owner ignored my request to call me — thanking me for my years of patronage via FB messenger. The Campagnolo shifter that I was told would take months to order if it could be located at all due to trade embargoes —I found on eBay and ordered after a few minutes search.
Needed to get my sons tire fixed so he could ride to school the next morning. They were very busy but said theyd start on it right away. It took exactly 20 minutes like they said and then they called to let me know it was ready. And it was only $15-20. These people are ridiculously nice and professional every single time I go in there. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has bike needs.
I am from out of town and a group of us went riding in the metro parks last Saturday morning(Cold). We had a mishap and ended up with a broken spoke on one of the bikes. We wandered into the shop and was immediately greeted and taken care of. They had to modify the spoke for the Carbon wheel as they did not have an exact match. The technician did a fantastic job and we were able to complete our trip. Very nice group of individuals in the facility. Thanks for the help!
Arrived at the store at 5:30. There where maybe 3 customers in the store. After 4 employees made eye contact with me and didn’t even say a simple hello I left. I walked around the store for over ten minutes. Very poor customer service. Apparently saying hello to new faces and helping out an eager guy wanting to buy a bike just isn’t there thing. How this place has good reviews is beyond me.
Probably my favorite location of the three. Awesome people that go out of their way to help, whether that is a new bike purchase, a part, or advice. And this location is close to the Metroparks, so park your car in the park, go for a ride, then pedal up the hill and pay this shop a visit.
This is the finest bicycle shop you could ever hope to go to the people working here are helpful friendly and very knowledgeable in addition whenever Ive had an emergency that needed to be repaired they always always go above and beyond what they need to do to accommodate my needs if I were lucky enough to live a thousand years I could not find enough words to say how wonderful those places and that you should buy a bike there too

2021-11-28Beware. If you purchase a Giant bicycle with a lifetime frame warranty from Century Cycles, you are not getting that at all. Instead, you are getting a store with horrible customer service that will tell you that the customer is not right. You will be getting a product that could fail, and when it does they will not replace it even though there is a lifetime warranty. Instead they will act like they are spending their own money and fight you with reasons that have nothing to do with the actual product failing. So, if you use a bike to commute or even worse, actually ride it and not just have it sitting in your garage as a show piece, don’t go to Century Cycles. Century Cycles, the home of the fraudulent lifetime warranty. The worst part is they will follow up social media posts about the problem with smug and what they think is clever comments to defuse the situation.

2022-07-03My daughter purchased a bike form the Shaker Store and on Friday developed a slippage when pedaling. July 4th was scheduled for a big bike ride. In desperation I called today and they told me to come right over. Shaker was closed so I drove to the Rocky River store. They diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly. Matt was excellent and the bike is in great shape. I am in the market for a bike, possibly two. This is where I will go as the customer service is outstanding!

2022-07-09Ripoff... I came in to find out what size post I would need for my bike. When the guy told me he could order me one and the price I said no thanks (theyre $10-$15 cheaper on Amazon of course). Then I asked what size it was and he hesitated to tell me, and instead said well Ill have to charge u the shop minimum to tell u. I said ok whats the shop minimum and he paused and thought and came up with $5. I said thats fine...he then proceeded to tell me a post size that doesnt exist for any bike 😒 so as if them being overpriced in their products wasnt bad enough, they got paid $5 to tell me a lie, and wasted my time and effort putting my bike into and out of my car. Highly do not recommend!! I went elsewhere and found out the actual size with knowledgeable employees. In response to the owner: looks like your employee just pocketed $5! Even worse... furthering my point of why no one should go there. I didnt think there would be a charge, and I could tell by his response of stuttering and hesitation to come up with the shop minimum that it was a lie, but I paid it hoping to gain the knowledge I came in for but I left without that. He was a scam all together, charging me a fee that didnt exist, telling me a size that doesnt exist.. So I dealt with a lying unintelligent thief coming in to that store and Ill never set foot in it again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

2021-03-21The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable and I didnt feel pressured into purchasing anything. After standing in line due to Covid precautions, I was able to test out several bikes, pick one, get a kickstand put on in it and purchase it in less than an hour during a very busy Sunday. I love my new bike and I highly recommend this place!

2021-08-01I am so happy and satisfied with my experience. I was in the process of rebuilding my road bike and had a couple of areas where i was getting stuck. This bike was bought from century bicycles in 2003. I called and brought the bike in.There was no wait. I was attended to immediately by a very knowledgeable technician. He went above and beyond my initial request and pointed out a couple of other issues (that i was unaware of) and took care of it promptly. The prices were very very reasonable. I would recommend Century bicycles to anyone looking for great service and value and above all a very friendly and pleasant experience. Thank you for taking care of your customers so well, especially as we go through these very tough times.

2021-06-23Honestly could not ask for more in a bike shop. Consistently great customer service every time I walk in the door, high quality work for repairs, parts, etc. Most recently I ripped out the spline on my pedal, they got me the new part for an extremely fair price, tuned up the gears/brakes, and now everything is riding like new despite having 4 hard years on the bike. I wish all businesses were as friendly and effective as Century!
