I had a very close friend spend his last days at this facility. He was in the veteran wing. The staff was very friendly and caring, and took time to answer questions. I feel that they went above and beyond their duties to assist at times. Fantastic service were provided. I was there during meal times, and the food looked good. The staff cared enough to listen and get medical permission for myself to bring in amenities that possibly helped give some happiness to my friend.

I look forward to seeing my family away from home every single day. The staff show such compassion for those they care for...not just the people who live at Carington Park but the people they work side by side with. So proud to know them all!A perfect example of Carington Park’s community Of co-workers working side by side is the heroic and life saving measures the team exemplified today when one of their own fell ill. This team kicked into action to save a life today and I am so proud of each one of them!!!

I have worked at carington for nearly ten years, both in activities and as a STNA. the administrative staff is wonderful and really encourages growth in our careers, supporting those of us who are attending school while we work. I love what I do and the people I work with, and could never imagine working anywhere else.

Both of my parents spent time rehabilitating here. The staff is warm and friendly. They genuinely care for their residents and treat everyone like family. I have never seen such great teamwork.

Its obvious all of these reviews are from the staff, which is not really accurate, now is it? The place is a dump. They make it look like they care about the patients, but its all a front. The Veterans can BARELY be brought to the VA Hospital because the activities department doesnt make the time. They prefer to bring the SAME patients they routinely bring to go get a pizza or something. The activities department is a joke. The Director is related to one of the head staff, which happens to be the case with many working there, because the place is basically a jobs program. Honestly, they dont do much of any activities. Its a joke because theres no real accountability. The food is a real problem. The food they serve isnt healthy and lacks any real sense of food. I feel sorry for they poor patients. The receptionist at the front desk is rude and not helpful at all. Its an older woman. She cant answer simple questions and it almost seems like she doesnt want to be bothered with anything. Shes also rude to the patients. The place makes a ton of money, as it is a money making business, but you wouldnt notice it when looking at the place. They seem to farm out for the unwanted patients from other facilities that tend to be more problematic and frankly dangerous. They have a lock down side for these patients, but theyre not really locked down at all, and are allowed to go on smoke breaks and such. Theyve had the police called so many times, its scary. There is a heavy weight guy in the back of the building that hangs out by the door smoking his cigarette. Hes probably like 600 pounds, and he is too lazy to walk to the smoking area, which is another 50 feet away. He only goes there when someone important comes around, which tells me hes likely breaking many other rules due to his lack of discipline.

Therapeutic communication is key. I work with an amazing group of people that I love like family. And my residents mean the world to me. Ive worked on the behavioral unit for the last 12 years and i can honestly say I still love my job. 😃❤ Jamie R.

Dont put your family Im this nursing home they are horrible. Its a family Rand nursing home that they dont care about nobody except for the people that works there the administrator is horrible and does not care about no one or nothing there is mold all through the building and they put residents at risk being in that building I would advise anybody not for them to play any of their family members in anything and they will lie to your face and nothing ever gets done the doctors are horrible there and the level of treatment of care is horrible do not send none of your family members or put anybody in that nursing home if you do you will endanger their life

I have been working as an LPN for 6 years at this facility and what keeps me here is my work family! Teamwork is huge especially in this field as you all know. We all care greatly for our patients and their families.

Great place to work!! I was first introduced to this place when my father came here as a resident in 2016. The staff really cares for their patients...and each other. That’s really important to me.
