During the past decade, Ive used California Exodus Moving at residential and business use. They are reliable, trustworthy, and professional. They send a sufficient number of movers to do the job quickly. Using their services, Ive even had them keep some of my belongings for a short period of time. It just took a single day for them to pack up my house and relocate everything into a new one for me. Excellent; they even opened boxes and assembled the furniture.
This was my first time hiring a moving company for a move- the distance and amount of stuff was just too much to handle on my own or with the help of friends. It was hard to choose a company to trust with all my stuff, especially with the horror stories you hear. Joseph Di Carlo was the person who I first spoke to and he was always available throughout the move, answered every time I called. It really felt like he had my best interest in mind from start to finish. The teams they sent at pick up and drop off were efficient and did good work. Everything arrived safe and sound. They are flexible with payment as well. One thing that could’ve went better- I paid for expedited delivery (3-5 days) and they delivered in 7. I’ve been promised some money back and as long as that’s honored I have no issues. I’ll be sure to recommend cali exodus to anyone doing a long distance move.Edit: It’s been 12 days since delivery and no word on the portion of money I was told I’d get back from the delivery not meeting the expedite timeline I paid extra for. I have to take a star away
California Exodus Moving is the one you are looking for. They are efficient, caring and professional. They did my move and they made no mistakes. Everything was very perfectly handled! No damages, no stress and no difficulties at all! I do know that there are many good companies out there, but no one can beat this company’s price. It is very low and very reasonable! Overall they give excellent service and they do not give you a chance to complain. I highly recommend this moving company to all.
I was supervising a long-distance move for a client. Justin and her crew were great. This team showed up on time, packed carefully and thoroughly. Then returned the next day to load. They were very efficient and coordinated in their packing system. Very impressed. Will recommend California Exodus Moving to other clients.
They initially called and texted me everyday for my business which should have been a sign that they were desperate for a sale.I was told I would be called once a week leading up to our move, did not receive my first phone call from scheduling until THE DAY BEFORE the movers were supposed to arrive. Jim Kirran is the most unprofessional person Ive ever spoken with: dogs barking in the background, snide remarks, always says hes busy when you call like hes not the one providing a service. Movers (who are local contractors hired by Cali Exodus) come and do a bogus walkthrough telling us our quote is wrong and its going to be $2000+ on top of the $3450 we were quoted for. We ended up being gauged $5,022 for our total move. For instance, I was told they crate Pelotons and it would be an additional $150 fee. Please see the picture below of what that crate looked like. Looks like a child wrapped my Peloton with construction paper. They also will not refund and have changed their story to mean its a bulk item fee. Jim Kirran and Katie Cook are the main people I spoke to and they lied left and right. Katie Cooks phone always goes to voicemail and she wont call you back until days later or shell TEXT you casually. We have over 10 broken items worth up to $4,000 and they only provide insurance up to $0.60 PER POUND OF EA. ITEM! The broken desktop monitor thats worth $300 weighs 3 lbs, so theyll give us $1.80 for it. I advise you to record all phone calls so you can catch them lying and making excuses. Also please file formal complaints with your bank or your states issuant. The claim form through the moving company is fraud in itself. Please do not be fooled by the bots reviewing this moving company on Facebook and Google Reviews! Cali Exodus Moving is a complete scam and they are aware, but have no remorse for their shoddy work.
The team was terrific. They were happy and business like. They took great care and made a complicated move with three pick-up locations and the movement of a couple of extra items to another floor of our house simple. They were fast and in the end I was charged even a little less than the original quote. I have already recommended California Exodus Moving to friends.
This was our third move with California Exodus Moving, and I really didnt even think of looking for anyone else - they are reliable, experienced, and efficient, and they make a really stressful day much, MUCH easier. Before the move, Harley was always attentive and quick at clarifying any questions we had. During the move, everything happened smoothly, and they were incredibly flexible with us, both when we realized we had more things than originally discussed but also when we had to wait to get the keys - the whole crew was lovely, courteous, and incredibly helpful. 100% recommended!!!!!!
I used California Exodus Moving for my moving in November. I found them to be excellent. They were totally professional and some of the friendliest guys you could meet. I was dreading packing and was so glad the girlfriend insisted they did it. They started moving us at 8 am and we were all loaded and out of the old house by 12 oclock meeting the deadlines for vacating the property. A leisurely trip to our new property and fully settled in by about 4 pm. I never thought you could make this seem so easy. So thanks to all at California Exodus Moving and I will recommend you to any friends or family moving in the near future.

We enlisted the help of California Exodus Moving movers for this task. Before they arrived at our house, they conducted a thorough inventory of all the items that needed to be carried and provided us with an estimate for the work. This company treated us with dignity and courtesy from the moment we contacted them until our last package was delivered. All in all, we were able to save money on our move costs. Its a definite must-have.
Another provider failed at moving across my large sofa but thankfully Robert and his team were up for the challenge on very short notice - this was on a Sunday afternoon. They pulled up the sofa from the balcony and got it into my new living room amazingly quickly. Im so grateful for their help, short notice availability, and their creative thinking. Highly recommended. The move was within AZ.
California Exodus Moving competitively priced but they asked detailed, probing questions to best estimate the number of movers and trucks needed. In addition to being competitively priced the pricing and process were completely transparent. On moving day, Jordan and his crew were real pros. I hope to not go through the nightmare of moving again anytime soon but if I do my first and only call will be to California Exodus Moving!
The moving service was excellent all around. Ive never moved transatlantically before but California Exodus Moving helped make this relocation back to the OH a stress-free experience. I feel very fortunate to have found this moving company for my move to New York from California. I booked my move last November. It was originally scheduled for January, but had to reschedule for a month later. They had no problem with me rescheduling. My move was complicated because I have a lot of antique furniture, many fragile items, and was on the 4th floor of a building with 120 units. Also, my apartment was on the most remote corner from the buildings undersized freight elevator, and the moving truck had to be parked in front of the building at the end of the streets center turning lane, due to the lack of a loading dock.Before the move, there was always someone available by phone with access to my information. I called several times with questions and concerns, and was always provided with excellent responses. Several days before my move date, a scheduler contacted me for final coordination.On the day of the move, I met my assigned personnel: one supervisor and three movers. They were very punctual and communicative. All four were very polite, listened carefully to my requests, and worked equally as hard making sure all my delicate furniture and items were properly packed and well-protected for the long move. It was obvious to me that they were very experienced professionals: they worked quickly, carefully, and wasted no time.I have moved several times in my life: NY to PR, PR to MI, MI to FL, FL to PR, PR to CA, and now, CA to NY...and these guys are the best!
They were recommended by a friend, and I would recommend them to anyone. My crew of three was fantastic. They were on time and very efficient. They actually took less time than what I was prepared to pay for so to me it felt like I saved even more than I would have. They were great, super friendly and careful with everything. The movers were my saviors! Such challenging employees and experts and careful but quick. They wrapped and unwrapped all furnishings and set up any furnishings that had to be reassembled, and I could use them once more in my next move. And I will most simply advise them to anybody with no confusion.
The move was professional from the estimate thru packing,, and then moving in. Everyone involved was polite, courteous, and professional. They went out of their way to place items exactly where we needed them. We never had to touch a box or piece of furniture during the entire process. Daniel and his crew came the day before our relocation and packed our belongings for us. They showed there on time the day of the move, and loaded everything fast and effectively. They were kind and carefully unloaded everything into the specified spots despite the fact that we were significantly late in obtaining the keys to our new home. This company provided us with exceptional service that is well deserved of a four-star rating.

My elderly father recently downsized from a 3-bed house to a flat. The movers and clearance took place on 2 separate days with multiple drops to different locations - complicated to plan but the office staff was great. Both teams arrived early on the day and worked efficiently, helpfully and politely, helping to keep Dads stress levels down. A few bulky items required doors to be removed temporarily - all no problem. Everything ended up in the right place with no breakages. Happy to recommend it wholeheartedly.
Team movers were simply amazing. On arrival at our new property they took time to ask where we wanted everything and worked very fast (but carefully) so that, before we knew it, we were able to sit back and open a bottle of something cold with all everything completed. On top of all this, the price was competitive. All in all, highly recommended.

This review is for Ms. Katie the representative that assisted me in getting my belongings on their way to our home. All communication was via text, but she was willing to assist in any way she was able to. She was able to make a stressful situation less stressful. Thank you again Ms. Katie. *********8/20 I would stay as far away from this company if I were you!!! They dont give you the option to purchase the additional coverage of insurance through them. They only allow you to sign the free one that gives you just $.60 on the pound of damaged items. They under quote on the phone and almost triple the fee when they pick up your belongings. There are many things wrong with our belongings including missing items out of zip tied totes. We could tell that our belongings had been gone through, because I had a leather purse that the inside seam was ripped out and the it was turned inside out. So, please be careful using this company. If we had it to do over again, we would rent a U-Haul and move ourselves. We rated them 1 star, but if we could give 0 stars that would be the honest rating. I hope other individuals dont allow this to happen to themselves.

Outstanding movers and economical price. The combination is a little shocking. But its true in significantly less amount they provide superb service. They came on time, took out all the responsibilities, and packed all the stuff. They were very friendly, polite and peaceful. Highly professional!
Extremely poor communication. We were not notified our belongings had been shipped. Our first notification was that our delivery was imminent.The man notifying us of this was rude and disrespectful.This company outsources the people actually moving your belongings and doesn’t communicate with them along the way.We were told numerous times “it’s not their fault” we were not updated.The truck driver did not feel comfortable backing into our 100 yard driveway so we were called and asked to go to where he had parked and unload our belongings ourselves. We declined. After being told to be home for an imminent delivery just after lunch our belongings were finally unloaded at 2045.This was after numerous calls by us to the company to help arrange actually getting our belongings to our home.When we complained we were told it “wasn’t their fault” and that this wasn’t like “ordering a pizza”.The local movers expressed frustration in the lack of communication with this company as well.The local movers in California and here in Florida were wonderful. The company in general is not worth the headache or hassle.Use someone else to move.We have another home to pack and move out here and definitely will Not be using this company.

They even offered to help offload my personal trailer outside of the billed hours! The truck was loaded well and quickly, and offloaded equally as efficiently. Not a single mark, dent or ding. Is this Rapid Van Lines?? If so and youre reading this Im still missing boxes from almost a year ago! You guys are so shady and rip off so many people!They will show up and automatically state you have more furniture than what you have on the quote! Print that quote out and go over every item with them if you use them. But that wont stop them from talking about cubic square footage and how your furniture is bigger than normal. You will be overcharged! And they do work with 3rd parties, they told me they didnt. So some of my furniture was damaged because they move it from truck to truck.
The team turned up on time, were extremely pleasant and helpful, and packed everything carefully and quickly. They also unpacked which was a great service because it meant that by the end of the day all the packaging had been removed, except for a few boxes whose contents we couldnt decide on a place for! I would definitely use them again.

The move was very smooth and professional. 3 guys came with the truck. They worked from 830am to 630pm without lunch or broke if though I asked many times and offered meals, but they were so professional they did not rest. They handled all the items regardless of heavy or light, furniture, refrigerators, glassware, etc. They wrapped the delicate items professionally in blankets or plastic, and no object was damaged. They made 4 trips for us, and all of them were no hassle to us. I recommend them to anyone and give them 5 STARS. Will hire them again, if required, in the future.

Unfortunate experience that could have been remedied with humility and communication. Cali movers could not find time to give us an itinerary for transporting our goods. They could not find the time between California and Florida to tell us they were on their way or expected arrival. On the day of delivery, my wife was called and told, “the delivery was eminent.” When talking to their rep, he told my wife to be quiet multiple times and “Jesus Christ, be quiet and listen.” I had to leave from work early, lost wages, to be at the house eminently. Because they failed to let the offload crew know the delivery was today, a crew could not complete the move until 7:00 pm. We had to wait over 6 hours because somebody at Cali-movers couldn’t simply inform us of the day they’d show up. Find a company who can follow through with their own promises.
Super nice guys!! These guys were more reasonable than other local movers I called, and they could deliver on a weeknight. Very professional and polite. Hanging on to their contact info the next time I need hand-moving furniture. Do the right thing: pay for pros to help you move and support the local music scene at the same time :)
California Exodus Moving did an excellent job last Friday cleaning out my storage locker and moving it to my new location. It may not sound like much, but it wasnt the average locker. It was probably 4 tons of a massive record and book collection. Granted it was already boxed, but they stacked and strapped it for zero slippage during the transport. It was tied in perfectly. It was done for a great rate. Perfect with no surprises. I am hiring them again to move to my new rental. I will try to keep the review updated. My further adventures will include a furniture pick up and a whole house move. Wish us luck. I am a repeat customer because I totally trust them and they did a great job.

The day of my move from California the packing was great the did a excellent job. However on the delivery of my things in Kansas we’ll that’s another story. The day of my delivery the driver said he was unable to get his truck on to my street due to it snowed the day before and snow and ice. So a smaller truck was use. Things took a while to unload, I was told that my 6 chair heavy marble table was bent?? No it was broken in half since marble can’t bend, and is now worthless, my leather sofa was missing, the leather love seat made it but how do u loose the sofa?? along with my glass top dining table, 2 of my 3 grills are missing, a vacuum cleaner along with a few boxes missing. I also noticed my dryer was damaged really bad with dents and scratches on the top and it is only 5 months old, a stand along floor lamp broken beyond repair,. I also received 2 boxes 3 umbrellas of of various colors and 4 large oak table legs that didn’t belong to me, also I had another sofa an loveseat that’s the 8 legs were removed and have been lost also. My items were delivered on March 7 2022, today is March 30th and still nothing on my missing and damaged items? I have been in contact but no real solutions as of this date , we still don’t have our sofa?? Or a dining table to enjoy our meals… so what are we to do????
It was a pleasure to work with the front desk staff. The system was flawless. You did a fantastic job of communicating your ideas. The employees were very well-behaved on that particular day. Much faster than I expected. Its a good idea to do so.
This was my first time hiring a moving company and based off my experience with this company it will probably be my last. My items were picked up more than a month ago and I was given a timed estimate of 0-6 business days for my items to be delivered for a distance of 0-500 miles ( I moved 300 miles away) but I have still yet to receive them. While attempting to get information on where my items are and how much longer it will take for them to get delivered I receive only a response saying a route hasnt been assigned to your items. Ive sent communications to multiple people that where flat out ignored or were passed on to someone else who previously I had no communication with in regards to my issue. I also have been seeing reviews about this company not only up charging after the delivery but also damaging peoples products. I hope this wont be the case for my items, but if so ill be back with an update. Id highly recommend packing a U-haul yourself and transporting your items before using this company.

I just had two fellas come to my home to move my piano. I had the best experience! They are VERY good at what they do ! They were out of here in no time! Had mats and blankets, nothing was scuffed. These guys were fantastic! They couldnt have done anything better. They came 10 minutes early and immediately began packing and loading their van. They listened to the instructions the first time and got right to work. They worked quickly and efficiently yet taking care to pack everything neatly and properly. They were nice and polite, and they had all of the necessary tools to pack and move furniture. They also talked to my two-year-old kid and kept him engaged while they were fixing my bed. Nothing was impossible for them, and they were eager to accommodate everything that needed to be done. I would highly suggest it and will use it again. These guys were outstanding.

When it came to everything from organizing operations to satisfying a wide range of demands, I received tremendous assistance throughout the outbreak. The movers did an excellent job of packing and delivering our belongings on time and politely.
Genuine fraud. Dont even think about it. I paid less for movers that went directly from my house to my destination (California to Texas).1. Complete lack of responsiveness after a deposit is paid. Phone lines are never open.2. No communication until 12 hours before pick-up. That communication is done by a person named Jim Kirran who is irritable, angry and just an all-around terrible human being. He will scream at you and give you information that is fraudulent as if its standard (paying movers after they leaving California, not after you receive your goods).3. They were a no-show until 5:30PM on the last day of the pick-up window. They showed up in a Uhaul with no packing materials and then went to Home Depot. Had no idea how to pack.4. Failed repeatedly to give full insurance. Insisted and pushed you on $0.60 a pound. A 50 pound TV that is $2k, would only give you $30, which is just ridiculous.5. When they came, they backed into my retaining wall and destroyed it.6. Tried to inflate value by 50% when they arrived, even though there was no change to inventory. They pack really poorly, so they will waste a lot of space in the truck. They dont know what they are doing.7. No firm delivery date and anger at the idea that they should be more specific in guidance. They are the customer, not you, that is honestly how they act and behave.They are scum. Very happy to have kicked them out of the house and gone with movers that actually cost me less than their inflated value when they arrive.RESPONSE: They stole $3,751 in deposit money for which I am suing them. There was no move because they rammed my retaining wall, used a uhaul and had no packing supplies. Saying there was no moving experience is another one of their outright lies.
Planning the relocation with Henry was enjoyable, and I enjoyed how quickly he responded to all of my inquiries and adjustments in the schedule. We used Cali Exodus on our move from California to Tennessee. Prior to having our belongings picked up, the communication was very good. However, once our stuff was packed up, communication was nearly impossible. We tried calling to get estimates of when our stuff would arrive and any time Jim answered the phone, we were met with attitude and literally zero customer service. Keep in mind, this company contracts out everything so there is NO communication. We got a call letting us know that our stuff would arrive in 5-7 days. Then 2 days later, a call saying it would be there the next day. Then on top of that, the driver called saying that there was nobody to help unload the truck and we would have to do it all ourselves. In a desperate rush, I called as many people as I could to come help. Everyone was waiting at my house and the driver was late. Then the driver said that he couldn’t get the 18 wheeler down to the front of the house because he quite literally didn’t know how to drive it. Then a team of movers shockingly DID show up but simply just unloaded the boxes. Jim had told us when we first booked the move that we were getting the “VIP package” and that the movers would reassemble our items such as our bed, shelves, etc. they did none of that. Also while moving one of our couches, they left a huge gash in our wall and didn’t even tell us about it. After having this experience and doing further research, I have discovered that this is a company called Rapid Van Lines that was discredited by the better business bureau and they have been forced to rebrand. They will say in the comment to this review that they have no affiliation with this company but that is a lie. Look at the reviews on the BBB and compare with Cali Exodus. The names and experiences are the same. Also they will comment on this review saying that I was not a customer of this company. My name is Claire keiser and my husbands name is Aaron keiser. We booked the move under his name. I cannot stand people who don’t have any integrity and this company is the epitome of that. STAY FAR AWAY.P.S. the movers who packed up our stuff in California were very professional and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. Also the driver who brought our stuff (who didn’t know how to drive the truck) was very kind and apologetic and said he was new to the job so I’m holding nothing against him either.
My initial contact with California Exodus Moving, through Henry, instilled confidence in me which was reinforced when he visited to assess and quote the work. His style was professional, empathetic, and informative. Never regretting for hiring them.
Horrible experience so far. I was quoted for 450 cu ft which included 20 pcs of furniture/TV and 35 medium sized boxes. On the day of the move, I only had 21 medium boxes, 1 XL box and 16 pcs of furniture. The foreman who came for the move says my stuff is 750 cu ft which makes no sense, especially when I had also emailed them pictures of my furniture before the quote so they cannot respond to this review saying it was oversized or I added something extra. After I stood ground for a long time, the foreman got annoyed and waived off extra charges but I still did not get full worth of my money and he was extremely rude throughout. This seems to be the trend in these reviews.It has been over a week and I am still sitting in an empty apartment and my stuff is still in their storage, which they never mentioned when I got the quote. They make it seem like they have bookings for enough people that they can load the full truck same day and start the move.I am fortunate enough to get legal services through my employer for exactly these kind of things, and I will be utilizing them if my stuff doesnt arrive within the next week and in good condition.
Much work was done, making a move as easy as possible for everyone involved. Mason team saved my life in the end. I think the pricing is fair. Yes, Id gladly re-hire them without hesitation.
We had an awful problem when the firm from which we got our sofa and paid extra to have it transported up to our fifth-floor apartment opted not to bring it all the way, leaving us with our massive two-piece sectional in our buildings lobby. We phoned and asked California Exodus Moving if they could do anything that day because everyone else we contacted couldnt. They did a marvelous job! I can’t blindly rely my move process on them anytime!

Lots of soiling and damage on our items. Flimsy low quality packing, for example all my suits stuffed in a non-garment box. We were literally shouted at by rude and mostly unresponsive customer service. Our experience with Cali Exodus was an absolute catastrophe. They earned some sterling reviews in the past, which is why we chose them, but those days are over. If you are considering moving in 2022 steer the heck away from this company. EDIT: The company s now falsely claiming I am not a customer, but I have the receipts. On Wed June 29 2022, I Eric Barnhill sent a Zelle payment to James Horky for $1302.00 for partial payment for the move, with the rest paid from my wifes accounts. The internal job number was CE4498219. This company should focus on their acute downward slide (see similar review at moving.com) rather than trying to block honest reviews by their customers.
The packers were terrific and very professional. The loaders/drivers, Aiden and Jackson were fabulous. Very hard workers, fun to be around, and could not have done a better job. We would recommended!

The entire process was uncomplicated, from the initial point of contact to the final payment. In all of their interactions, the men were efficient, polite, and forthright. This shocked me because it was completed a week ahead of schedule. There are no hidden fees, and the movers are fantastic.

I would not use Cali Exodus Storage. The price was the only thing I was happy with. We moved from California to Arkansas (2000 miles).I was assured by Greg that they dont use contractors and on the pickup and delivery, various men showed up to move the items and it was obvious that they were not employees. In fact, the gentlemen told me today (the delivery) that he works for a temp agency.When they picked up the furniture, one of the gentlemen scraped the wall and then told me that it was like that when he got there. I told him, no it wasn’t. He mentioned that if he did do it, there would be white chips of paint on the floor. We both looked down at that point, and yep, white paint chips were on the carpet. He didn’t say anything after that. I do admit they did a great job wrapping the furniture.I would get texts occasionally saying they are trying to get our items to us (obviously generic texts), and I would just get generic responses to my inquires via text.When we finally recieved our furniture (it took 32 business days - 6 weeks) there were some damaged and missing items. My recliner that I had custom made was missing, the legs for my dresser and the bolts for my bed and tv (and speaking of my tv, it has a 3 inch crack in the screen now). My dining room table has a huge gouge in it about a foot long. My dresser had two knobs broken off.The man in charge of the delivery had two temps with him. They unwrapped everything and did put it where I asked. When it came time for clean up, they had no bags to put the massive amounts of wrapping materials anywhere. To get it out of the house, they put it in our box truck with the promise to come back later to pick it up. 4 days later, it is still there.I would file a claim but its not worth my time. I just hope that no one else uses this company. I rarely leave reviews, but I thought this should be told.

It was a tough decision moving out of the city I had grown up in. With mixed emotions, I had started to pack, but the work load surpassed my abilities. I called California Exodus Moving and Storage for some packing and delivery service and they sent their crew over the very next day. The were all so much faster together and more efficient too. Do not be fooled by the new name they are operating under . They were previously Rapid Van Lines and they are crooks and scammers. Look up the old company name. They have fake 5 star reviews and will take your money, jack up the price and hold your stuff hostage, then take forever to delivery and most of the stuff is missing or broken. They have no trucks, they hire trucking companies to move your stuff interstate. Check out the old company name on BBB, they lost their interstate accreditation and they have multiple claims that they will never pay on top of ghosting people after they take your money ! On November 18, 2021 you amended your company from Rapid Van Lines to California Exodus Moving and Storage, you may not remember me but I know you and I know Jim and your crew.
At first talking to Chris the sales representative, he was nice, and assured us everything would go smoothly. Oh heck no. The came on April 9, 2022 loaded everything up in a truck, we asked if they were leaving that day, they said no they were going back to Los Angeles, should of been a red flag, they kept our stuff in storage for almost 20 days, they never told us this was going to happen. We also told Chris, and Jim, Jim is the shipping coordinator or something along that line, that our driveway at our new house was not big enough for a semi truck, that there was a drainage ditch on both sides. No problem they said. So when our stuff was finally going to be moved, the contracted movers called me and needed the address, etc. I told them again about our driveway, they said well it will be an extra $1,000 I said for what?, well we have to find a truck when we get there to off load your stuff on to so we can get through your driveway. So I called Chris( sales guy) well his attitude quickly changed to being rude, and I dont do well with rude, I am a very kind understand person, but not to rude. He argued about the stuff being in storage, the time frame of getting our stuff, our stuffbeing put on truck with other stuff, so I am very upset and frustrated telling him he lied to us, he proceeds to tell me that his mother also told him women are not to be understood just loved, and that I had no right talking to a Military Veteran the way that I am. My family goes way back to world War 1, and I still have family in the military, I stand up for our Military Men and Womwn and appreciate them. So I called Jim the shipping coordinator, well Jim says oh it is all good I will make it to were you pay under $500. I thought finally someone is listening, well heck no, office calls me says there is no way $500 or less extra, we can take of $40.00. After going round and round with her I gave up, because we need our stuff. So stuff came contractors are very nice, but they put a hole in my wall by dropping an end to a dresser on the wall, I said it is ok, because it was late, and I knew it was an accident. Well they deliver and leave, well our glass TV stand bottom shelf shattered, husband tool box lock is broke he had to prior it open and ruin it more, and Antique vanity roller was gone. They have called since this review and are making it correct for us. The Manager was very professional, and very sympathetic. I really appreciate how they went out of there way to correct things thank you again California Exodus Moving.
Joe one of your phone estimators or guestimators more like it. He gave me a quote for $10,800 over the phone. Then the day of the move two hours into it a inventory specialist showed up and started his count. Laughingly said “I am going to blow that quote out of the water”. You are looking at $14,000 if not more. Well it ended up being much much more. It was over $20,000. Until the inventory specialist took it upon himself to deduct the packing and a few other things. He was able to get it down to $17,800. The old under bid to get the job knowing the customer has no recourse two days before closing on sale of their house. ANYBODY ELSE!!!

I move from North Hollywood California to McAllen Texas and I did have quite a few big items and they did pack and wrap just as in the videos The Packers did an Outstanding job. When they were loading my pre-boxed items and packages they use good care and everything was received in great condition. The delivery time was a little lengthy but that’s to be expected and it was about a 10 day delivery time overall I am very pleased with the service that I received.

I had a great time working with these individuals. I relocated a two-bedroom penthouse that had a few basic items such as a hefty bed, a couple of fairly large framed pieces of art, and a handful of antiques. They packed the antiques very neatly and worked very quickly.

I came across California Exodus Moving and decided to give them a shot. I was really surprised to see their very friendly customer service and the way they organized the whole move. They provided me with a complete expected plan of the expenses and the whole move was planned from start to finish. I received an email quote right after the move was complete. Fast booking and collection but the hard part came after, it was a very lengthy process to move our belongings to NY due to Covid19. Logan Was always very clear with the information given and understanding of our situation even if sometimes we were not so polite (which I apologized for). I didnt receive the goods personally due to work commitments abroad so my family was present, everything arrived in good condition, even with delicate electronics. Really want to express my thanks and good luck with the business.

After that it all goes down hill. They will give you a low estimate then jack up the price thousands when you get there. Very UNREASONABLY. Jim Horky or Kirran, whatever name he is going by nowadays , is the most RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, MEAN, CARELESS customer service man I have EVER came encountered with. He will yell at you, talk over you & hang up in your face !!! I am honestly surprised they are even legally allowed to operate. It’s a total scam. They take a long time to deliver your things because they put your stuff on a truck with 7 other peoples things and deliver them all at once. I have received other peoples items as well. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also be careful with the insurance. My $400 tv they broke they are only give .60 cents per pound. TOTAL SCAM !!! they put my California king bed mattress on top of my FRAGILE BOX. I was told they only deal with California Exodus. NOT TRUE. They deal with outside contractors as well. They are a bunch of liars and scammers. ALSO PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS THEY PUT UP. IT IS TO COVER UP THE TERRIBLE WORK THEY DO. This company is a scam. Im not sure why my reviews are not posting but I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to move short or long distances. They overcharge, have poor communication, damaged lots of our belongings, and took forever to deliver. They also refused to process our claim so we got nothing back.
There doesnt seem to be any problems. It was a pleasure to work with these gentlemen. They took care of all my belongings and everything went successful, and I am glad I chose them.
Lorenzo and Luis went above and beyond to provide stellar customer service and packing my antiques with such care, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness. WELL DONE and my heartfelt thanks for everything.

This company delayed my pickup 3 times. I contracted them on January 5; my possessions arrived on February 3. There were broken and missing boxes and loose items. At the last minute, I was charged a $500 shuttle fee to cover the cost of renting a smaller truck because, according to the dispatcher, the semi wouldnt be able to unload at my apartment, but the semi did unload and no other trucks were used. I cannot recommend this company.
Every person tells you something different and charges extra for wrapping and sheets, even boxes. Would not refund my $1050 deposit even though I called the next day with concerns that would not work. This was not right.

I had a great experience with California Exodus Moving. They offered the most affordable pricing among a variety of businesses. There were no issues with the inventory walkthrough, and the evaluation was thorough without taking too long to complete. During the transfer, the personnel was quick, efficient, attentive, patient, and helpful.
The owner contacted me, and I had a firm quote, which did not change within a day. No surprises - exactly how moving should be. The moving guys showed up on time the day of the move out on time. From the get-go, they were both friendly and kind. I met them in the TX Area as scheduled, and everything was again unloaded within an hour. Everything made it in one piece, thanks to their excellent hard work. I will happily recommend them to all!
The movers team of California Exodus Moving and Storage was Incredibly responsive, details oriented, dedicated to accomplishing an amazing job. I came back to my new place to find my boxes and furniture exactly where they were supposed to be, all taken care of, all perfectly laid out. Use them again!
They were great, from packing and wrapping all the stuff to loading in the truck and again reloading the furniture in the house.They finished the move in just 3-4 hours from picking up to dropping off at the new place.I have recommended it to all.

While it may be a stressing job to hunt for the best movers, California Exodus Moving and Storage has it all under one roof. They provided us a complete package including packing, transport, loading and unloading. We did not have to call any extra help in their presence.

This was the easiest move Id ever made. The staff took great precautions to keep our items safe. They protected all my pricy items into bubble wraps, and dust coverings. Each item was meticulously packed, transferred, and rearranged just like the former house. I must say that I don’t need to find anything. 5 out of 5 stars!
Grant and the movers did an excellent job. Marcus worked with me to get the survey accurate, and the estimate was correct. No need to make changes.

2022-07-01So far terrible. Our pick up price doubled and we are still waiting for our stuff. And because their contract suits only them my family will most likely wait till next mont for our belongings as we sit in an empty home. Jim is very unprofessional. He will offer no solution, he will just yell about how it’s all in the contract as you sit in your home with nothing. We will be relocating another home in the family next month and not using Cali exodus…it can’t get any worseUpdate 6/25: so I lied, it can get worse!!! Much worse…They arrived with our belongings today and our most expensive possessions were destroyed!!! Our 3k fridge has dents and scratches all over it, they stored it somewhere that somehow got water into the fridge and caused rancid molding, my 75 inch Sony tv that costed nearly 4K absolutely destroyed. My water dispenser destroyed, my $500 dining table bench destroyed, my 2k king bed set destroyed. What is the purpose of this horrible service? Solely rip people off.I spent $8000 for them to move these items and now I will have to spend another eight to $10,000 to replace them never trust them Cali exodus are scam artist. Pics below.. We haven’t even began to unpack our boxes yet and I am afraid of what I’ll find since a good portion of them look crushed on the outside.***ALSO don’t be fooled by the merchants response here. We haven’t agreed to remove anything. Cali exodus is harassing us and basically trying to blackmail us into removing this completely accurate review. I was told by Kate that if we don’t remove this review they will not address any of the issues. Which is coming down to about $4K in damages and loss. We will be filing a separate complaint with department of transportation the better business bureau and any other entity we can find. Until I get a check or deposit reversal for at least 3K I won’t be removing any reviews. My family and I moved across state and are now 4K in the hole. Thanks to Cali exodus… Julia Morreale is not the same person, she is my wife and her review is also 100% honest…Cali Exodus is THE WORST….

2022-06-08Choosing California Exodus Moving was the best thing we did for our move. Communication and service were fantastic. The crew arrived before the scheduled time, eager to get on with the job. Every item was professionally packed, with extra care taken for breakables and electronics. Furniture, where applicable, was dismantled and put back together at the destination. Not a single item was broken or damaged! I highly recommend these movers to anyone in need of a moving company.

Their communication from start to finish has been responsive and efficient, keeping me up to date at all stages in the process. Their service has been both professional and friendly, helping to take much of the stress out of moving. They took apart and reassembled some furniture which was a real help. Everything arrived at my new home in good order and they have even offered to take away the packing boxes! The personal touches and excellent service were much appreciated. I would highly rate and recommend them without hesitation.

2022-08-11I highly recommend using California Exodus Moving. My stuff just got picked up and everything went great! The moving guys were very professional and friendly. They made my move very easy! They handled my boxes with care and made sure everything was secure and boxed up properly. I am moving from PA to MN and I know my boxes are in good hands. The three movers were great guys and did an amazing job! Will for sure work with them again.

2022-05-11We have used them 4 times now, each time the crew has been very hardworking and taken great care of our goods. No item seems to be a problem for them to move. I have never met any other movers that work as amazing as the crew at California Exodus Moving. 1st class guys, gives no-hassle service from the office. Will use them again and again. Very fast to pack and unpack.

2022-03-27They give you an extremely low quote treat you with professionalism and are patient until you sign the contract and make your first payment. After that point their impossible to contact, they send unprofessional kids to pack your items in a used truck...pack it with multiple other ppls items....over charge your estimate by putting stickers on every item...then ghost you again for weeks while you await the arrival of your items. Supposedly their supposed to communicate when your items are repacked and on the way to your new location, never happened. They called one day and said theyd be there at 3pm....no show no call. I call they dismiss me and say theyre completing another job and will be there at 6pm...no call no show. I call and once again we will be there at 8pm....no call no show...they call this time with the excuse they have a flat tire and theyll be stopping at a nearby hotel to rest up and be there at 8am. They finally show up at 830a with another rental truck and again packed with multiple items for other ppl...boxes are damaged weight not evenly distributed. Young kids with no sense of professionalism, dont know the contract or procedure. I asked them about payment the previous day and the gentleman who was supposed to secure our items and the location and time for drop-off finally calls gives me a zelle account that doesnt work and is in his personal name. The guys working the job cant or wont contact him. I finally get him on the phone and he dismiss me because he is sleeping and he will call me back when he wakes up. Never happens. We end having to go to the atm to withdraw cash and the foreman cant count properly. Job is completed and damaged items are photographed and accounted for. They lost our step ladder. No checkup with the company to see if services rendered were acceptable, no feedback and no update on the replacement of damaged items. This company lacks professionalism, transparency, and doesnt care about their clients. They seem to rush jobs to make as much money as possible utilizing these young inexperienced kids who are in it for a quick buck. I wouldnt wish this upon my worst enemy moving accross country is stressful enough compounded by the cost time and other resources used and this company makes it worse. Worse experience ever!!!

Their quote was very competitive and appealing, no other moving company came near so they got the job. The crew was polite, cheerful exemplary, and treated every item with full care. They made my move look simple and easy. I would indeed recommend this company and use it in the future.

2022-06-26This company was very unprofessional from the beginning. Before your move they will treat you great but after they have your stuff is a whole different story. They misquoted us by 3 thousand dollars, they hold your stuff for a long time (they do not mention that, but it’s on the fine print), they damaged our stuff and left a big mess at my house after delivery, they left stuff still wrapped, I could go on and on with how terrible my experience was with this company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

2022-06-22I contacted California Exodus Moving and spoke to Owen. He immediately understood my requirements, which was the moving of my Piano on a specified date. They then quickly responded to me with a very acceptable quote. The Piano was picked up by a professional team and carefully loaded into the moving vehicle. The delivery time was as promised and the Piano was successfully positioned into its new home with no damage. I will recommend them to anyone that is looking for a moving company that does a professional job for a good price.
