BUSAM should change their name to BU-SCAM.Went in for a recall repair that was supposed to be 30 minutes. I told them just do the recall - no up-sale repairs.** After the 1-1/2 wait they told me that my car needed a complete oil seal replacement - the engine is gushing oil everywhere. I told them that the car is parked on new concrete - NO OIL ANYWHERE ON THE GROUND. When I got home I looked at the engine - NO OIL ON THE ENGINE! SHAME ON YOU!** While I was there a young woman came in for a tire repair. When the tire was done the sales tech tried the old guilt pitch - For the safety of your children you should let us take all the wheels off and pull all of the weights off and rebalance all of your tires - $100 scam.
I had an appointment to just test drive an Outback with Ricco and left with it. I loved it and Ricco was wonderful he is a great salesman not pushy like most. I would deal with him and Busam. When I went to get luxcare done, everyone was so pleasant and Jeff in concierge was very helpful.
I was looking to purchase a used vehicle for my daughter. I called about a vehicle at Busam Subaru in Fairfield on a Friday morning and went to inspect the vehicle by early afternoon. The young sales associate was friendly and eager to address any questions I had about the vehicle. There was an outstanding recall and a couple minor issues that I wanted to be addressed and I was told that there would be no problem taking care of the issues. The used car sales manager came out and we negotiated a price and went over the few outstanding issues, all smiles and a handshake. The sales manager also offed that if the repair of the recall issue would take more than a day, they would give my daughter a loaner vehicle. I told the sales manager that my daughter would have to come by and approve the vehicle and I would send a check with her to purchase the vehicle if she liked it. By now it was late afternoon on Friday and my daughter was unable to look at the vehicle on Friday. I told them it would be Saturday. No problem. The next morning my daughter had a work emergency and was not able to make the trip to look at the vehicle, I was in contact with the sales associate and let him know about the situation and said we would be in right after they opened on Monday. Again, no problem. Had the vehicle sold to another person on Saturday, I would have completely understood, but it did not sell on Saturday. On Monday at 8:30 am I sent a text to the sales associate and said we were on our way there and we would be there approximately 9:15, they open at 9:00. When we arrived at 9:15 there was a person looking at the vehicle. This person took the vehicle out for a test drive while we waited. They then came inside and purchased the vehicle while we and our sales associate sat in disbelief about what had just happened. Obliviously they were willing to pay more than our negotiated price. The sales manager did not come out of his office or even acknowledge that we were there. This was clearly a case of money over character. Not only did he not show us any respect, but he also stripped his sales associate of the commission. The sales associate and I corresponded multiple times after we left the dealership and he apologized repeatedly. I personally have had several bad experiences from sales ploys in the past, as I have purchased many vehicles and I am prepared for this. However, I really felt bad for my daughter but mostly for the sales associate who had tried to be fair and honest with us and had lost out as well. I never write bad reviews and I tried not to this time, but instead I called the General Manager to relay the information. I did not want to get anything from him, just for him to be aware of the situation and possibly do something for the sales associate. I had to leave a message for the General Manager and apparently, he did not feel the need to contact me, hence the review. I have since purchased another vehicle for my daughter and I have relayed this story to all of the dealerships I dealt with after Busam Subaru. They all laughed and thought I had been dealing with a small private dealership but were quite surprised when I told them it was actually a Subaru dealership.
We loved doing business with Busam Subaru. They were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable,. I did not feel any pressure. Kyle made sure to followup with us after our purchase to ensure that we did not have any questions! We will definitely do business with Busam again! We love our Subaru!
Loved buying my dream car at Busam. Jerry was awesome, he’s the man. Super stress-free environment, not pushy at all, and respected every concern and question I had. Jerry was very laid back and I appreciate that more than someone who’s constantly badgering about buying a car right then and there. I didn’t even plan on buying an Outback out of my price range but him and Nick made some accommodations which was super helpful. Jerry knows his stuff, very friendly, and goes along with your pace. Cannot recommend him enough, and even the whole place! I love my Outback, it’s in amazing shape and ride like a dream. For sure come here if you want a Subaru!! Thanks again Jerry and Nick!
I went to Busam to get windshield wipers for my Impreza. It was my first time in the dealership. When I entered the building, I was unsure where to go. But, a few seconds later a person walked over and assisted me with my situation. Wonderful customer service.I will be turning in my lease Impreza in February 2023 and looking for a base Crosstrek. This dealership may be an option depending on certain factors. However, good customer service..
Had less than 20,000 miles & 35 months on tires purchased from Subaru. Got a nail in a tire that could not be plugged and had to buy a new tire. Too bad the Subaru Dealers road hazard isnt longer like tires purchased from just about any other tire dealer. I guess my bad for buying tires from a car dealership.
Worst experience I’ve ever had with any dealer I bought a wrx from them and the motor was burning about 1.5 quarts of oil ever 500 miles it would smoke when started and was in and out of there shop non stop eventually they said they would rebuild the motor due to it being under warranty my guess was it had a cracked ring they gave me receipts of a rebuild witch was never done I know this because I marked bolts and clips with white out myself and when I got the car back everything was in the same not one bolt was broke loose you could tell by the marks and the ones rusted on I argued with them and was denied help or any understanding I had 300 miles till my warranty was up and the motor ended up locking up 30 miles after warranty and I had to pay off over a 18,000 dollar loan on a car I couldn’t even drive do keep from killing my credit I would never send anyone to this place to get work or even buy a vehicle.
I just wanted to take a minute to rate my recent experience at Busam Subaru! This was a very smooth process from beginning to end. More specifically I would like to give a high praise to my salesman JAMES HENDERSON. I didn’t walk into Busam expecting to leave with 2 brand new cars but the more time I spent talking to James about our current situations the more inclined I became. His knowledge and experiences in auto sales was far superior to that of other salesman we’ve encountered at other local dealerships. His approach was quite relaxed and no pressure at all. After doing my homework and shopping around there’s no other place I would go to besides Busam Subaru. I felt trusted and listened too. The final price was exactly what was negotiated (no hidden surprises). The dealership made the whole process quick and painless. James H. went above & beyond — locating a specific vehicle and staying after hours just to make my birthday dreams come true.
I made an appointment over the phone for this morning. I told them on the phone and in person about emergency maintenance we had done while on vacation trying to be helpful with the diagnostics. Then I get told that they will not be able to work on my car AFTER showing up for my appointment. I guess if your car breaks down 4 states away you need to have it shipped to this dealership. If not they’ll turn you away for future repairs.Way to be out for your own best interest and not that of your customers. People trust the Subaru name and I thought since the name was on your building I could trust you to help. I was considering buying from this location as it’s closer to my house. I will not buy from this location and neither should you.
I have a 2011 Forester with almost 200,000 miles on it. I can always count on the service department to be timely, honest, thorough, and talk me through exactly what is happening. Not to mention they are consistently the nicest bunch of people, every one of them. I love my Subaru, and I love Busam Subaru!
The personel were all polite and curteous. They had parts in stock to fix my issues and I was on my way. While fixing my car I waited in their brand new reception area, where I could help myself to coffee or tea. Beautiful and clean. Super company to deal with. This is my first Subaru, and will likely be my last vehicle as I am 70 now and probably wont drive much longer. I LOVE MY SUBARU.
Took my sons car in under his 36 thousand mile warranty. They did not help with the problem. We took it to a shop who said look this is what is causing the issue, I said that is under warranty so we will have it fixed. The mechanic at Subaru couldn’t see or find the issue so they kept the car and didn’t do much to help. Now its a huge bill to fix what would have been covered under warranty. This place was really good now I am not so sure. I no longer recommend going here. And they warranty must run out at 33,200 and not 36 thousand. They were just in a hurry to move ya along.
Just got my Outback back from them after 4-weeks due to waiting on a part that was not needed. I originally went in for a front end shake at highway speeds and also had what felt like a steering wheel bind around 40mph that I admittedly felt defeated on after trying to diagnostic for a year or so now. They diagnosed it to be front control arms, ball joints, and bushings (most of which I already replaced and agreed to it anyway in case one of my parts were a lemon). Went ahead with the repair that cost me a little over $1200 after tax and coupon. Then they called and said the tech was worried about a popping noise and wanted to replace the driver side steering knuckle as the pinch bolt wasnt able to get tight enough. It would bring the new total up to $2,045 before tax.Since I have a trip coming up and I am pretty handy with a wrench. (Was working on a friends Jeep and my dads Taurus at the time so I didnt have room to work on my own) I had to take it from them before the final repairs were made so I could get some fluids changed before the trip. While driving home the loud popping noise sounded nothing like a ball joint issue at all. In fact it was due to both upper sway bar link bolts being loose causing the sway bar to bind and basically pop to release the tension a bit. I tightened both links (4-bolt/nuts total) up to spec, and then took it for a test drive and the noise the tech was worried about is gone! So no $800 in parts/labor needed. Also found out he dang near stripped the grade 8 pinch bolt I had. So I went out and grabbed another one and torqued to spec without issue. Now Im going to have to get all the specs for each component the glorified jiffy lube tech touched and double check his work. Also the issue I originally went in for is still there. For a little icing on the cake. They aligned my car after the lower control arms were replaced (required due to a new major suspension component being replaced) and my steering wheel now sits close to the 1 oclock position regardless of what road I drive on.
From the very first call with this Subaru dealership to the final signing of my new ownership documents, I was impressed with the over-the-top customer service. And I dont mean just regular good customer service, I mean WOW, these guys are AMAZING kind of customer service! They were willing to get me a great deal, they were knowledgeable with their own product plus the other brand car I was considering. Then they even gave up their lunch hour to accommodate me to sign papers during my lunch hour! Plus, they are just fun and genuine fellas. It was like working with my brothers...the ones I like!
Busam Subaru is the most honest, trustworthy and reliable dealership experience I have ever had. This is my first Subaru and I will go to Busam Subaru for all future car purchases. From sales to service they cant be beat. Thank you Busam Subaru for making my car purchase so enjoyable.
I will never make the mistake of going to this dealership for repairs to our car ever again. I do not trust their technicians to be able to accurately diagnose nor fix any issue a vehicle may have. I went for a second opinion after spending thousands on repairs there and to say I am angry is an understatement. But caveat emptor, so it is what it is. I know more now, and I know to avoid them. I recommend others to do the same.
8-5-21: Pleased to work with Busam. From beginning to close of sale, their courteous and professional sales staff took excellent care of me. Their being under construction did not deminish their care. Im pleased to recommend Busam to others and I love my 2022 Subaru Outback!Driving Happy!P
I’ve had two experiences with Busam Subaru. Both were terrible. The first was for a factory recall last winter. Weather was bad on the day of my appointment and I attempted to reschedule. They said the Manager had taken over new appointments and never called me back. The second experience was when we found the car we wanted on the web and went to see it. They wouldn’t let us see the car because we didn’t have an appointment. They can stand around and chat but don’t have time to show a car. In short, they were rude. I’ll never go there again.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience buying my new Forester! I was only in town visiting family for the weekend, but Kyle and Tyler still managed to find me the perfect fit and quickly get me driving home in my new car! I appreciate how informative, patient, and helpful they were, without ever being pushy. Everyone was super friendly, and Kyle took the time to show me how everything worked in my car plus the service dept. I highly recommend Busam Subaru!!
We just purchased a brand new 2021 Crosstrek and this was the easiest purchase weve ever made. The entire process was quick, hassle free and no pressure was felt. Our salesperson Russ Hice was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we not only got the vehicle we wanted but that we actually enjoyed the process. Not only did we leave with a new subaru we also left with smiles on our faces! Go see Russ! It will be a completely different car buying process than youre used to!
I had a punctured wheel that was under warranty and they told me that I needed to replace all four wheels because the one wheel was discontinued. So they held my car for 2 weeks without any form of communication. Basically I had to contact them each and every time to get an answer. So in the end instead of resolving my issue which was under warranty, they told me to go elsewhere and put another tire on my car. I didnt feel that I got any service but I got a lot of flack from them.
Josh Crank was absolutely wonderful in our car shopping/ buying experience. He made it quick and easy to take the cars we were interested in for a drive. He was informative, helpful, personable, and courteous. Josh put absolutely no pressure on us which I truly appreciated. He was able to negotiate a fair price for the vehicle we wanted as well as for ourtrade-in. I would recommend Busam Subaru and Josh to anyone.
Everything started out beautifully. Brought my car in on the morning of 4/15/2021 with a schedule for routine service and to fix some things still covered by warranty, including a slow leak on the back window. Showed the service advisor the streaks on the inside, where water was coming through, they offered a loaner car, so I wouldn’t be waiting. Got a call at about 4:45 that the car was ready that same day but that they couldn’t find the leaks, and maybe I could get a video of it since they couldn’t duplicate it. As I told them, it’s not dripping, water is getting in and then coming down the window left and right of center. I figured actively showing them the streaking where the water was coming in was strong enough evidence. Noticed big long streaks on my window when I went back out later that night, assumed it was on the outside from them running water over the car trying to duplicate the problem... nope.... on the inside. Just because they can’t duplicate the problem, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist or that they were trying to duplicate it in the right way, but more importantly there did get streaking, so I guess they didn’t bother to look. As I said, customer service started out great, but then I got the mansplaining phone call so typical of service departments. It’s a 2019 under warranty so shouldn’t be leaking. My guess is they just didn’t feel like bothering since I’m not paying them. Not sure if I’ll give them a chance to fix it or take it to another dealership and see what scale of mansplaining I get there. As I said, I walked the rep out, showed them exactly the streaking where water was coming in through. Probably the rear break light.... but I’m just a silly woman so what do I know. I did make them a video of the dried streaks, since I usually don’t see them happening.
After speaking with the new car sales manager . I received a email from used car sale about a car that met my criteria. 1 test drive later my son has a good used vehicle low miles one owner no accident that we could afford . From. bunch of nice guys and a friendly sales men .
I have been getting my two older Subarus Serviced here for the last year, a 2008 Outback and a 2009 Impreza. with no issues with the service department at all, they are a little backed up at times, but that can happen anywhere; I think they need a bigger service department for the amount of cars they sell.Well I walked in the other day with my son to bring in the 2009 Impreza (my other vehicle was in the shop at a dealership near Kenwood, and I seen a Crosstrek in orange on the lot that just screamed fun. So I looked at it, took it for a test drive, then took my loaner back to my dealer paid around $1000 to fix a start/stop module that should have been under the extended warranty but wasnt. Drove back here and bought the Crosstrek. 30 mpg, more seating room, not as big a trunk but the rear seats do fold down for about the same trunk space as I had. It is orange with leather interior and fun. This car even rides better than my sport sedan I traded in. And way more tech than mine or even the current model of my old car.I was thinking of the Outback, but I really dont need that much room, it is 13 inch longer than the Crosstrek, but I would only need that space 1 or 2 times a year.Steve Tomassetti my salesman took amazingly good care of me and I am very happy with my purchase. I think I spent more time talking about cars and other fun items that I did making this purchase, very easy and painless.I would highly recommend Busam and Steve for your new car purchasing needs. If I need another new car in the future I will be back to see Steve before I go anywhere else.
Great experience from the very beginning! I had a wonderful salesman named Kyle who answered all of my questions and showed me how everything worked in the new 2020 Outback! I fell in love with the limited series and ended up with a brand new Outback! They introduced me to the service department and walked me through every step! I would give a 10/10 & I’m pretty picky! Go to Busam Subaru and find out for yourself!
I was introduced to Busam Subaru staff in early 2018 when I got some recall work done and Ive never went anywhere else since then. Their team is very professional and knowledgeable and they honor any warranty claims without question, out of the $13,000+ dollars in work Ive had done Ive only had to put out about $1,500 myself, I had bought my car from a certified used car dealership that had left it sit and never serviced it so it ended up having some problems after I purchased it which was the dealerships neglectfulness, no fault of Subaru, but Greg, my service manager at Busam has helped keep my car safe and on the road and treated me very well, and any of the work they do is also backed by a no question 1 year parts warranty so theyve got my full support, I would definitely recommend Busam to anyone.
Went in to look at buying a new Outback, walked in the door and waited for a sales rep. We stood there for quite some time before we were greeted, after explaining that we didn’t know what trim we were looking for the man sent us outside to walk the lot without any guidance on what the different trim packages included. Staff was generally disinterested in selling us a car. We won’t be returning.
I bought two Subaru’s, a 2014 Forester and later traded it in for the 2018 Outback. I’ve been very please with treatment with me on both vehicles. They scheduled service for when I needed. Each time was given a loaner car. And these were always new cars, wow.Presently I’ve follow through with service by Busam. I have been pleased with the way that they have shownpersonal good service with me. Recently I’ve taken my Outback several times and still believe the problem hasn’t been corrected. I’m so disappointed.I’m still wanting to work with them. After all I also paid over $1600 for additional maintenance for 84 month or 75000 miles. I have slightly over 15,000 at this time.
Never had an experience like this buying a car. Coming from shopping places like carmax, this was a totally different level. Everyone here knows a lot, wants to share a lot, and wants you to make the right choice for you. It was great. Plus I got free stuff like a gas card and free stuff is always nice.
Ive got an older Forester that had the second airbag recall from the Takata issue, Ive been to Busum in the past for a timing belt at 105k and for the first airbag recall. So I called the dealer to see about getting this taken care of, I was hoping to get a 330 appointment to avoid taking off work, I work at a hospital so its not easy to get time off at the moment. The lady I talked to said they wont do recall related service after 2:30pm. She also said she would have to check with the service techs to make sure they have the part, they were all busy so she said they would call me back. A couple days later, no call, so I called again with the same response from the person I talked to - she needed to check if they had the part, all the techs were busy, shed have them call me back. Ive still not gotten a call from them now that its been two weeks since my first call. So I called Kings Subaru, they got me in later the same week at the time I wanted, drove 5 min further to get there but they finished the job in 45 minutes. One extra star for Busum because theyve given me decent service in the past but Ill be driving the extra five minutes to Kings when I need to go to a dealer going forward. Admittedly thats rare, Im not a great source of income for any dealer but youd think for something as significant as the Takata airbag recall I could at least expect a callback.
Very happy with the car but the entire buying experience was terrible. To start, the salesman lied to us twice and didnt really know anything about Subarus, the finance guy needlessly caused 5 hard pulls of my credit report, it took an extremely long time to finish the paperwork because none of the management was there, and the car was barely detailed when we picked it up at the end of the deal. Im also not happy that the dealer never called for a follow-up to see how the buying experience was or how much we liked the car.
After driving by i stoped to look at a Jeep Wrangler the salesman was new took a test drive then we went in to talk numbers set down he took my information n I told him 2 times I didn’t want my credit ran till we look at the final number of the Jeep I don’t look at payment I want the final out the door number so he comes back with the out the door number and tells me to sign this paper which I didn’t and I told him again I didn’t want my credit ran he said he didn’t below that paper was my credit report didn’t buy the Jeep couldn’t come to a price and I wouldn’t knowing that they ran my credit with out my permission not happy at all about this I would not recommend this dealership to anyone if they would like a little small amount of honest they don’t treat you like a customer just a number and lie the hole time. Not the place I would buy anything from not recommend you to
Great service, I use them anytime I need service on my car. They are affordable and honest I wont use anyone else. And if my car needs to stay there they are give me a reasonable timeline for how long it will be there.Sales are great too, they will work with their customers on pricing without cheating themselves, I understand they have to make money too. And Subaru is the only car I will drive for the rest of my life, safest car on the road I trust the brand.
I could not be more satisfied and pleased with my experience with Busam Subaru! The level of service, and communication, has been exemplary, and the staff that I have dealt with, have been friendly, informative, and concerned with the customers satisfaction. It is very much like being part of a family! Thanks Busam, and keep up the great work!
If I could give them 0 stars I would! Dont waste your time or money here!! My Husband and I were thinking of a Subaru since my old SUV was tired. I found this dealership lazy, rude, and has a bad inventory! I was refused a test drive, I had to order a car because they didnt have what we wanted, after they repeatedly promised a deal and incentives they blew us off for 30 days and didnt offer us anything but financing in the end. We did the research on our vehicle and were offered no assistance at all. We gave Busam more than one chance to work with us and they just blew it badly. So we ended up shopping elsewhere. We ended up with a beautiful SUV CROSSOVER for $7,000 dollars less with everything Including Tax and Title out the door I would have had on their Subaru XT Touring Turbo. And the MSRP was $41,000 on both vehicles. Moving on!!
Im very proud to be part of the Busam Subaru family. Our AfterCare visit was awesome. Our car was prepped inside & out. All aspects of the interior knobs, buttons & functions were explained fully. We r not techy peeps but was made to feel empowered. Im so comforted in knowledge, every time I enter my vehicle, if for any reason there would be a car accident, with Subarus technology & many airbags, I would survive & go home. The drivers side is also equipped with airbags for the knees. This is utmost of importance for our family, I have knee replacements. The injury my husband received in his truck, after being hit head-on from a careless driver, possibly couldve been avoided if he had airbags for the knees. Needless to say, this is why we finally have our New Subaru. The truck was totaled. I can rest now every time we enter our vehicle, we r as safe as possible.Sincerely,Dave & Julie (Elliott) Sunderhaus
I went in to Busam after extensive thoughts and reviews of my next purchase for a car. I went in to look at one and was shocked with how nice and relaxing the experience was. I was approved to get a car with $0 down, but the payments were a bit more than Id like to spend, so I am going to come back here when I have a little more money to put down, but they worked with me. I can tell these guys are great, I can update this review once I get the car. I know how places and people are so I was ok today not getting to test drive the WRX since myself included would not want to buy one that other people have drove, I want to be the one doing that. However when I come cash in hand next time, I will get to test drive it, since I will be buying it! It was a nice selection and I can say, depending how this car will treat me, that Subaru may be my forever go to from here on out. I would say these guys are great! Again I will update once I have another interaction, but for now, hats off to you all!
I took my car to the body shop for front bumper and fender damage after someone ran a stop sign. Before i even took my 2015 Forester XT to the shop i felt really comfortable. My first impression with speaking with Chris Hartke was great and knew i was in good hands. I could tell that he genuinely cared about fixing my car and fixing it right. I am someone who like most may worry about taking their vehicle to be serviced by a mechanic or a body shop and have someone take advantage of you...not once did i get this impression. Chris and his crew are old school and do things right to ensure you will be satisfied. I hope i dont ever have to see Chris again (because i dont want my car to need body work done again) ,but you bet if someone runs a stop sign and hits me i will not hesitate to make an appointment at the body shop. I can only speak on the Body Shop here and not for the dealership or the Service department. thank you again Chris.
Been taking my car to service side for almost two years working with Jill, and today I worked with Kyle Dirks on the purchase of my new car. I have to be honest and say the teams at this dealership on both sides are awesome and I would recommend them to family, friends, and foes.
I never bought a used car, but I noticed in my search of a low-mileage 2014 Chevy Impala on the lot. I must admit it was nice looking car; it had a few scratches on the back bumper, but overall it was solid. I took the car for a drive and had it checked out down the street. The car was taken care by the previous owner for the most part. The only thing was wrong with the car was the front seat which made a popping noise when making turns. It sound like a bubble package when popped when you pressed it down. It was strange and the guy evaluating the car said the same thing. When I returned the car, I was interested in buying it and let Jerry and Dale (used car reps) know that issue and told they will have it fixed. Jerry called me and told me that it was all set ready to go. I bought the car and as soon as I drove it off the lot, it was worse than before. I complained to Dale (the manager), and he told me to take to the upholstery place where the work was done. The upholstery representative worked on it all day Friday and it was never fixed properly. I will never ever trust and buy a used car from a dealer again. They were unprofessional and distrustful. I am planning to take further action as well.
Low ball on trade-in even with proof of KBB stating it was worth $3,000 to $4,000 more. They tried saying because I had the Costco incentive program, they couldnt give me more for my trade!!!! What!!! Were does incentive mean you can rip me off? Taking my business else where. Bob Rohrman of Fort Wayne, IN.
I stopped into Busam Subaru to check out their SUVs. I wasnt very familiar with their vehicles and had just started my search for a new SUV. I met with sales consultant Steve Tomassetti and we reviewed the features I was interested in a SUV. The Outback appeared to be the best fit for my needs. Steve was very knowledgeable, spent the time necessary to explain all the options, explained the advantages of the Subaru brand and of the Busam dealership. I left the dealership that day without buying a vehicle so I could do some market research. I came back a week later confident that Subaru was my best option. I met with Steve and we picked out the model I wanted which was a Outback Limited XT ( XT has a turbo charged engine). Unfortunately they didnt have the color I wanted in stock but they were able to get one from a dealership in Louisville. When I went in to pick up the vehicle they had a 2020 Forester on the showroom floor that was a demo and they were offering a very good price. I ended up trading in my 2012 Honda Civic and leased that vehicle for my wife. I met a number of Busan Subaru employees during my purchase process from the manager, to the service advisor, concierge, and the lease agent. I can honestly say they all are friendly, caring and want customers to be satisfied. I can say, I wasnt an easy sell, but because of their product and attitude I am satisfied I got two excellent vehicles from a great dealership.
I can in to pick up a part I ordered 3 days ago and everyone was very helpful until the man who is in charge of parts came out and was extremely rude. He’s a bigger white male with glasses. If you can don’t deal with him he’s very rude and just shouldn’t be working there. He’s bringing down his whole team at Subaru.
I went to several different Subaru dealers before ending up purchasing from Busam. What sold me was that they were warm and friendly, not pushing, and let me test drive without a salesman. It was seriously no stress. Since that purchase in 2014, Ive bought 2 more from them. Very satisfied.
Great experience! I took my vehicle to them after a nightmare at a different shop. Chris, the collision center manager met with me, and after telling him what was wrong, he ensured me that they would take care of all the problems. They not only took care of what the previous shop did not finish but also fixed problems the other shop flat out ignored. Chris told me he would make sure to double check all the work the other shop did to make sure everything was perfect. They went above and beyond. They fixed my vehicle quickly, properly and even went so far as to clean it inside and out for me. They were very respectful and showed that they cared about the customer. I could not be happier with my experience, especially after going through such a hard time with a different place. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants the assurance of a job done right.
I found the car I wanted online at the Fairfield location and drove all the way from Lexington, KY to look at the vehicle. The dealership was courteous and made sure that they had everything ready when I arrived and they also moved things along at a punctual pace so I could make it back home at a reasonable hour. The car that I decided to buy was not only in amazing shape but was also cleaned very well by their detailing crew. They has priced the car at a very fair price and were also willing to work with me to bring the price to the perfect point. I had the salesman, Mike Hopper and he was such a joy to work with! He was very knowledgeable and willing to sit down and explain things to me (as it was my first time buying a car on my own.) He had the most amazing attitude and worked tirelessly all day long (even when the credit union I was financing through got difficult) to get me home and in my new car by the end of the day! I also cant say enough about how gracious every other worker was as well. Any time I needed a question answered or anything at all there was always a friendly face who knew, or was willing to find the answers I needed! Busam Subaru, YOU ROCK.
We have appreciated all the advice and help with our new Subaru Forester Touring. Everyone one we have had contact with at the Busam Subaru dealership has worked with us by being very friendly and helpful, both before and after our purchase. Steve, who handled our acquisition along with Jeff in sales have been extremely helpful and very accommodating and generous with the time they have spent with us in learning about the advanced technology features of our first Subaru. As a footnote, having four canines in our family, we really appreciate the dogs being being welcomed with open arms by everyone at Busam.
Not a big fan of car dealers in general but Busam is well ahead of most of them. Definitely recommend them for the buying experience. IIm not 100% positive they will sell me every car that I own from now on, but theres a pretty good chance. Was treated very honestly and fairly there.
The maintenance department is staffed with people who cant even balance new tires. I wouldnt trust them to wash my car without using sandpaper. Years ago I bought my first new car and it shifted out of first gear very harshly with a loud clunk. Took it back to them three times and they couldnt figure it out. Went to Michael Tire and they found that the differential oil was low from the factory. They found the problem right away. Subarus are awesome cars but their mechanics are block heads.
The service has been excellent since day 1, they keep you informed, are very thorough, and honest. They send you reminders and coupons in the mail for any service coming due to help remind you. The waiting lounge is comfortable and accommodating with a coffee/hot chocolate machine and snacks. Our 2019 Impreza is well taken care of by them.
Purchased an Outback and had an enjoyable experience. Seriously...we actually enjoyed buying a car. Staff was knowledgeable, patient, listened, and went the extra step to find what we were looking for. Hope this car lasts a long time, but would certainly go back in a heartbeat for our next Subaru. Check em out - cant recommend enough.
The service guys are top-notch! I am new to the greater Cincinnati area, and at 40 minutes away, its still the closest Subaru dealer to me. I read some of the older negative reviews about the service dept. and was a little worried, but from the moment I called to schedule the appointment I knew these guys were a step above based on the conversation I had. While in the waiting area, I was visited multiple times and given updates. The other customers waiting got similar visits. The negative reviews you may have seen are either disgruntled folks, or perhaps from a time when they were under different management. I will definitely be using them for the duration of time that Im in Ohio. I go back forth between Oxford, OH and Tucson, AZ and they are easily the best Subaru service dept Ive dealt with. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Chose Busam Subaru on the recommendation of another satisfied Subaru owner who purchased her vehicle at Busam. Spent 4.5 hours test driving 4 different vehicles. Our salesman, Lahsen, was happy to help and met our every request. Polite and friendly. Informative, genuine, and never once felt pressured or ignored the entire time we were there. The rest of the staff that we interacted with that day were also friendly and helpful. Drove nearly 40 minutes to get to this particular dealership and it was well worth the drive. I would recommend Busam to anyone looking for Subarus in the Dayton or Cincinnati area
Traded a car in dec. they sent payment in late so it took on extra finance charges. I have been calling for 3 weeks leaving messages etc. none of the managers call back. Finance guy did call twice but it is now Jan 4 and my account for that vehicle is still open. Managers never answer phone or return calls. I have never in my life had such a hard time doing business with a dealer lot. Never again!
We bought both of our Outbacks, new, from Busam, 2008 & 2013. They made each car purchase easy and gave us the best price out of any other dealership in the Greater Cincinnati area. We finally reached 100K miles with our 2008 Subaru Outback. Had to have a couple new struts installed as well as head gasket/water pump/belts/hoses/battery, etc. Jill in the service department took great care of us and made sure that everything was done properly. Since the car was going to be in the shop for a few days she made sure we had a free loaner to drive. She was very thorough and honest and when we came to pick up the car it had been washed too! We will definitely be coming back and continue working with Jill in the future!
Ask for Warren! I just bought my new Crosstrek from him, and it was truly a good experience (What? Buying a car, a good experience? Really? Yes.). He was warm, honest, knowledgeable, and had a sense of humor to boot that made what is typically a rather stressful time into a really pleasant one. I got a fair deal on a car thats been selling like hotcakes all over the city, never felt pushed or antagonized, and left with just what I wanted. Id definitely go back to Warren in the future.
I dont recommend going here. They are very unorganized and will lie about a cars trim level and modifications to help sell it. Only upon having the vehicle for a couple days did I realize it had serious damage and I was told by the salesman its my problem now, no returns, and was given the service department phone number so that I could go and pay them to fix the damaged vehicle they just sold me for top dollar that was a certified used with 2 inspections by them. Obviously once I drove it off the lot they can claim I did the damage so they arent liable. Just dont go there, they are very slimy people.
I was interested in both the Forester Sport and the Outback. I originally looked at another dealership closer to my home and the salesman seemed like I was interuppting his day. Since I purchased my 2015 Outback Premium at Busam, I decided to return to look at both a 2019 Forester Sport and the 2019 Outback Limited.Chad brought out both for me to drive back to back. After driving the Forester, I had some questions about the Sport + mode so he sadi go ahead and take the Outback out to see how the Eyesight performed since I didnt have it on my 2015. Wow, what a difference. When I came back he had the answer to my question and said to go ahead and take it out to the expressway so I could get a true feel for it. I was truly interested in both cars but in the end I chose the 2019 Outback Limited. While the car was being detailed the finance manager handled the paperwork for me. He actually remembered me from 2015 and everything was taken care of within 15 minutes. WOW!!!! 15 minutes!!!! I have since went back for the 1,000 mile courtesy check and my car came back washed and cleaned and it only took 15 - 20 minutes. On top of it all, they gave me an emergency tool case gift to keep with the car.The whole team at Busam Subaru went above and beyond from the second that I walked in the door. I highly recommend Busam Subaru. Instead of feeling like an impersonal car dealership, it feels more like dealing with family.
We purchased a used car for our son. The entire experience was awesome. The sales team made the process simple, pricing was fair and post sale service was fantastic. I cant say enough good things about our purchase. Special thanks to Joe & the team. Im sure we will be back.
Busams service department diagnosed my vehicles issue and got an appointment two weeks out to make the repair when they had the part and availability. Dropped it off and was told it was only a couple hour job but plan to have the car back in no longer than two days. Long story short they had the car nearly three weeks, and after getting it back still had the same exact issue. Tried contacting the service manager several times and left several voicemails telling him the car didnt seem right and was making noises. Fast forward to now, 6 months later after never receiving a call back. I finally crawl under the car to see what is rattling underneath just to find that the tech didnt put my driveshaft back together causing the driveshaft to droop and rest on my exhaust. The center support bearing was finger tight on one side and not even threaded on the other. This could have destroyed nearly my entire drivetrain. After speaking with SOA (corporate) they can not hold them at fault apparently and I have to live with the fact that these guys may have caused detrimental damage to my transmission and other main components internally. Do not take your car to this place.
Honest, genuine, customer-centric focus from all the staff, from sales to service; Busam Subaru rivals luxury-car dealerships in how they treat their customers.I purchased my 1st Subaru, a top-of-the-line, new 18 Outback, in late Dec 17. I did the deal online, communicating with Lahsen, who was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our email exchanges, and who offered a price that was lower even than Edmunds True Market Value price. When it arrived (the color/trim I wanted wasnt yet in stock), and I came in to do the paperwork, there were no surprises: No forceful upselling of add-ons or anything else, none of that nonsense. It was all wonderfully straightforward & honest...and actually quite pleasant.(The only downside was the shockingly low offer for my trade-in, a pristine & extremely-low-mileage 07 Acura TL Type-S. I nearly walked away from the sale bc that offer was frankly insulting ... but Im glad I didnt. Instead, I went ahead with the Outback purchase, but sold my Acura to Carmax for $8,000 [!!!] more than Busam offered. Seems other reviewers have experienced the same thing. Clearly Busams focus is sales, not trade-ins, lol. They should just tell their salespeople to gently advise potential customers to sell their current cars elsewhere, then come back to get the fair price & great service on a new Subaru.)Ive since been back twice for service - oil changes along with a hitch install and then later a minor recall fix - and the service department is as well-run and as customer-centric as is the sales floor. Greg in service, and Branden who managed the loaner/rental, and everyone else Ive interacted with there, whether by phone, email, or in person, have made me feel like a valued customer. The experience that Busam staff provides is every bit as superb as what Ive received at Acura and BMW dealerships over the years.
Purchased a 2019 wrx sti from Busam. Outstanding vehicle and even better staff at the dealership. My salesman Warren was very knowledgeable on the product he is selling and also very personable. The finance guy Ray was the same. They are both very good at what they do and sell Great vehicles, and stand behind them. I will definitely be recommending friends and family to this dealership and will be telling them to make sure they contact Warren.
I recently bought 2 new 2016 Subaru Outbacks from Busam Subaru for me and my daughter. Lahsen was very helpful and professional throughout the entire sales process. When it came time to pick up our cars we were pleasantly surprised that everything was exactly as promised. My daughter took her car to Busam for a tire warranty issue. Greg, the service manager, replaced both rear tires, performed her 1,000 mile checkup, washed her car and she was on her way in under an hour. I had a similar experience with Busams service department for my 1,000 mile check up.We love our new Outbacks and the service and support we get from Busam!
Went to look at Subaru. The place is being remodeled, so the sales area is very small. Not one person inside working was wearing a mask. When someone helped us he did put on a mask, but the people a few feet away did not. This is really scary with the Covid rates in Cincy area. Didnt buy a car and left.
12/2/2018 Final update. After approximately a year Busam finally fixed my front breaks. It took a lot more effort for what a consumer needed to do to get the issue resolved but it is resolved. I hope the owner can invest more money into their service department to better assist the employees and the consumer. I hope I can regain my trust in Busam Subaru, time will tell.11/16/2018 UPDATE I Reached out to Subaru corporate office to inform them of my experience. This was 11/13/2018 at 10:59 am. They informed me they forwarded my email to the Service manager. Corporate stated corporate would reach back out to me no later than 5 pm est Friday (11/16/18) which they did. To inform me they will now reach back out to me no later than 5 pm est on Wednesday since they have been unable to connect with the retailer.Another update 11/12/2018. Had a scheduled appointment at 2pm for the squeaky brake issue. I was hoping this was going to be the end of it but apparently not. Branden Miracle nor Jeff Weiss was in today and they would only visually inspect the breaks AGAIN! Branden was suppose to get with Jeff and the service team to make sure we tackle this the way you want it I do have this in a email which I sent 11/8/2018 at 7:21 am giving them enough time to sort my request of new break pads out. I spent Friday afternoon 11/2/2018 driving my car with Jeff and he also drove it and said he heard something. This experience has been the biggest waste of my time and ridiculous customer service. I should of stayed with Honda. As un update to my 10/27/2018 post I still have not received a call from anyone at Busam Subaru. I received an email a hour or so after my first post from The Owner which is really the Online Operations Manager as the email signature states. I responded to the email asking what he would like to discuss. This response took approximately 7 hours for him to get back to me. I responded to that email and have heard nothing since. I left my phone number in my first email response to The Owner. So I believe I gave enough information in order for them to contact me.When purchasing our 2 new Subarus the experience was good. We even purchased the extended warranties with both vehicles at an extra cost. We were refereed by friends and told they would send them a gift card for their referral which never happened. As we have needed service on our cars my wife and I can both say our experience has been far from stellar. You have clerks who do not return phone calls when they say they will. My wife clearly had a nail in the tire of her crosstrek and was given attitude when attempting to get it plugged. Squeaky brakes have never happened in the clerks 13 years and yet all I have heard for the past year is a metal on metal sound as I brake. They had the car a day to find nothing, supposedly just break dust. I did what the clerk recommended and using heel cleaner and for the past month had little success. When I called back to tell the same clerk he said he would speak to his service manager and call me back, still waiting on that call back from Thursday 10/25/2018 at 8:17 am . Expect the bare minimum
I dont usually give bad reviews, it takes a lot for me to hate something but here it goes!!!!!!!I originally gave this place 5 stars but now I am reducing my rating to 2 stars, it was a pain less experience up front but behind the scenes was another story and so was 2 months after the purchase and now 4 months after.1. When we signed our paperwork they had to ask us to come back because the Sales Person did not communicate about a lease return to the finance guy and they increased our monthly payments to $30.2. Apparently, when we asked them to run the #s to turn in our Toyota Lease in exchange for a Subaru Crosstrek they did not even bother to look at final cost of returning the lease and other things involved with it.So this meant we were still paying car payments on an early return while our Toyota was hanging out at the Subaru Lot for 2 months without us knowing it.3. It took weeks on weeks on weeks to get anything sorted out! Took them so long to return the car to Toyota! And took even longer to give us a refund for the monthly payments we made4. now 4 months later Toyota sent us a bill of $1000 for the return! There are lease return penalties that the Sales Person did not even look into and I would think would be knowledgeable enough to anticipate and inform us! Surprise!!!!5. apparently according to the dealership they did not agree to pay lease return penalties . And the Sales Person did not put anything that we talked about in the document so there is no way for us to prove anythingThe Incompetence is ridiculous and irresponsible!Ive traded in a lease for a financed car and they literally inform you of what it will take and roll all that into financing! Wow!!! Im blown away from all the stuff that is still haunting us! If I had known it was going to be this painful we would have gotten a Toyota!!!No wonder they were so relaxed on the day!----------------------------------------------
Although I understand that they are under construction and very busy, I couldnt help to notice that every other costumer got in-car explanations and assistance, but the man who had helped me to be Frank seemingly blew me off. That said dont judge the company or business based off of one employees actions.
Busam Subaru is not your ordinary car dealership. I purchased a used Subaru Outback from Roy on a busy Saturday afternoon. I appreciated having the freedom to test drive the vehicle on my own and without high pressure sales! The sales staff is very knowledgeable as they answered all my questions. Myron worked with me directly on the price-avoiding all the back and forth haggling! The purchase process was simple and very quick! I already recommended Busam to someone else who is shopping for a new car.I am very happy with my experience and will be back again!
Had to take car in for warranty repair. They had to order a special part. Told me they would call when it came in. Called after a couple weeks to check in and got a snappy We said we would call. Couple weeks later, while getting it serviced at a different dealership, they fixed it on the spot. It was then that I finally got a Final warning from Busam in the mail that they wouldnt continue to hold the part for me. Had never received any communication from them before this.
I drove 5hrs to the dealership to buy the Lexus and have been talking to a salesman. He gave me false information about the car. Website showed navigation System and the salesman said yes too. when I checked the car, It does not have it. I didnt like their service and they showed no sorry for providing me false information just to sell the car. I hate salesman who make false information just want to sell the car. I drove the dang 5hrs to and 5hrs home. Tsk...disappointed..so plz be careful when dealing with this dealership.
I brought my car here for an airbag recall and for them to check out a light that was showing on my dashboard. While on the lot, my car was vandalized and the back window completely smashed out. They offered to fix the window, and it took over 4 days to get the part. After picking my car up, I realized that it had two new issues: the replaced window leaked and there was a large dent above my passenger side wheel. They agreed to check/fix the window but denied responsibility for the dent. I waited over 4 days after dropping it off before calling only to find that they still hadn’t bothered to look at what was wrong. It took over a week and a half for them to eventually fix it. Terrible service — this is the first review I have ever taken the time to write
On Service Dept today for regular maintenance and recall item. Service performed satisfactory and timely. Service personnel great.Have issue with layout of service writing area and pay area. When busy it is impossible to maintain a safe distance during this pandemic. People coming and going through a very congested area. Needs to be reconfigured to address current situation. Not a good experience.
I came in on August 26 and this is my impression of their service since. This seems to be the only place within an hours drive of where I live that still services Suzuki cars. I brought my 2005 Suzuki Forenza here because there is a recall on their headlights. I booked an appointment and within the next week, I was scheduled in. To be fair, the sales department were all very polite and nice, however I havent noticed a difference with my headlights. I dont even know if they changed anything. My headlights are automatic daytime lights and they only turn on sometimes. I know that the problem isnt with the bulbs because they stay on for an hour or two at the most before flickering out. I have to drive with my brights on at night.I came back once I stopped at a gas station to fill up on gas and check on my oil and found out my hood wouldnt pop open. I called them back and told them my issue and on the plus side, they took my car back right away and managed to figure out what was wrong. Then I paid $95 for them to pre-order a hood release cable and probably for a diagnostic check on top of the $40 I put in when asking them to look at another problem on my car. Although annoying, I still would have brought my car back for service at this point. However, I have waited for a month now for my part to arrive and in that time, after the mechanics there managed to keep my cars hood closed, I have had a problem with my throttle body that I had to take my car to a local mechanic to fix.Since I already paid for a cable for my car with Busam Subaru, I decided to forgo having my local mechanic fix my hood right then because I already paid Busam Subaru $95 for parts. I called Busam Subaru to see if I could get my cable sent to me and was told, Im not sure if I can do that. I have to talk to the service department Id spoken to the saleswoman before and she knows I have to drive an hour to get my car to Busam Subaru, not to mention its located off the side of a highway and I pre-paid for the part. I mentioned my safety concern to her, and she said the same thing.I have not been contacted by any representative at Busam Subaru in the past month and have had to call every week since my date of service and ask about the status of my order myself, even when one of parts that was ordered, came in and was wrong.Im utterly appalled at how Ive been treated and will not be recommending this dealership to anyone I know for service of any kind. If my part(s) continues to not be correct, I will be filing a complaint with the city.November 29: Still no call or any status on my parts. Dont get your car serviced here.
I had been to this location couple of time, for two different car purchase. First time I went for my car and second time foe my colleagues car. Everything was good until guy looking like George Clooney started talking to me in almost insulting manner. I found every other sales guy was well behaved, well knowledged about the cars.
Preying upon single moms: the salesman, Warren and his general sales manager, Bill Green were deceptive, unhelpful, and tried to take advantage of me as a seemingly vulnerable single mom.I presented my trade in car with needing an alternator replaced. Warren kept pressuring me for a tow to their dealership and we agreed on an estimate for my trade in value of my car.The next day and one half hour after I have my car towed 30 miles, I get a message from Warren: hold off on your tow. Your car isnt worth the estimate trade in.The general sales manager, Bill Green deceptively went to inspect my car at the mechanic prior to the tow. This was not explained to me or mentioned as a possibility instead of the hassle of having my car towed. I felt this was a trap by the dealership to put me in a vulnerable position to accept whatever low ball offer they would give me.Warren then called me to tell me the car was not as I described and pretty much calling me a liar. I asked what was wrong with my car and he stated it has multiple things wrong with it but would not give me specifics. I became upset and told him I did not appreciate being called dishonest when I had not been. He then proceeded to exclaim, so you throw a fit when you dont get what you want. They offered me 1/2 of the Kelley bluebook value and stated there was hail damage on my hood and roof that myself not any other mechanic or person had ever pointed out to me. He was very rude to me and would not divulge all the problems with my car.At this point, I called the general sales manager Bill Green and explained the issues to try to resolve. He also said the supposed hail damage would take $1500 off the original trade in estimate and that would be the best offer. The next day when I came back to retrieve my payment and keys, the general sales manager tried to show me reports faxed from my mechanic stating brakes were needing replaced steering issues etc. I asked to see what was faxed and pointed out to then the date of the invoice being 5 months ago and that I had the work done by the mechanic (easily verified) since then and no longer needed to be done on my car. I also explained that I didnt appreciate being called dishonest or throwing a fit, when I was upfront about my car only needing an alternator replaced. I also dont appreciate an unnoticeable hail damage never seen before taking $1500 off the value of my car. Took my business elsewhere and got my car towed out of there so it was no longer held hostage. This single mom will not be doing business with an preying establishment like this one.
We were unsure if the drive from Columbus, OH would be worth the visit to Busam Subaru but it was! We called before we left because we wanted to make sure the vehicle we wanted was still there and thankfully it was. We talked to Rico at Busam Subaru and he was great. We honestly couldnt have asked for a better sales man. By far the best car buying experience I have ever had. If you want a car I would totally give this dealership a shot and definitely call Rico!
Recently had my new car in for accessories installed and over all I was happy with the service though I had to wait for service when there was four employees and only one other customers. Also had to move my own car to a different parking spot. So room for improvement but nothing horrible. Just small inconveniences that could be avoided.
I recently had a great experience purchasing my 2015 Outback from Busam. The salesman (Lahsen) went out of his way to make sure I got the car and options I was looking for and their price was as good or better (mostly better) than any of the other 5 area Subaru dealers I researched - no need to haggle. A very professional, courteous and efficient sales staff. Its the first place Ill stop for my next Subaru!
We had an amazing experience yesterday buying our new Subaru SV Crosstrek and trading in our Honda Civic. I emailed Lahsen (internet sales) when I found the car we loved online and he gave me the bottom line price. When we showed up at Busam Subaru we were quickly greeted by all staff we encountered. Lahsen was very busy, being the internet sales, but he quickly recognized my name and remembered which vehicle we were interested in. He asked us if we wanted to test drive it, as he already had it sitting up front after we inquired about it online. After we came back from the test drive we knew we wanted to buy it. Lahsen was very busy with another customer, so Myron (used car manager) offered to assist him with his customers. We had a great experience from the very beginning with all of the sales staff we encountered, the financing department as well as the quick clean up of the Crosstrek. We never felt pressured to buy anything or even trade in our car, which was a first in our life of buying/trading in cars. The entire staffing team was very professional and not pushy at all. By the time we left the dealership they had actually been closed for 30 minutes, but nobody seemed to be rushing us out the door. Lahsen proceeded to show us some features of our new Crosstrek before we left rather than saying he would just do it later when we came back! Our trade in transaction went very well also, with no complaints or negotiating on a price. Overall we had the best experience we have ever had trading in a car and buying a new one. The staff at Busam was amazing!!!
My wife and I, who are in our early and mid thirties, drove about a half hour to this are specifically to test drive vehicles.Last week (July 15th), we bought her a new CX5 and now it is my turn to get a new car.Once we arrived at the dealership, we were greeted by a sales person (Lawson, I believe), and I let him know I was interested in a specific WRX they had online. He asked if I wanted to buy within a month, and I replied that I didnt know. I asked twice to drive the vehicle, to which he finally replied that I couldnt. My wife and I turned around and left. How am I supposed to decide which vehicle I want if they wont allow test drives? We had just left Fairfield VW where I had driven a GTI, and I wanted to drive the vehicles back-to-back. Btw, VW gave me absolutely zero hassle about driving a car. They copied my license, and gave me the key.We have already bought two brand new vehicles this year (the other one is a 2019 Tacoma TRD OffRoad Double Cab which was purchased in March). For a decade or longer, weve had 3-4 vehicles between us, and we could buy a WRX in cash if we wanted to. A WRX is still at the top of my list. If I decide to go that route, it wont be bought from Busam Subaru!
When we purchased our car back in July, we were told that we would get a second key and that it was guaranteed since our car was a certified pre-owned. Now 7 months and unanswered phone calls later, we still do not have a second key. I amHoping that this is not a response to the fact that we cannot find our second key on the car we traded despite having torn our house apart. Will not return.
Do NOT Trust this Service Department! Incompetent, RUDE, Lying about completed work!!! Dont waste your time of money at this service department. They do not complete the work that their documentation mentions. Since my vehicle was still having issues, I took it to a different dealers service department and they informed me that the work was never completed. Do NOT Trust this Service Department!
Dale Bryant did an excellent job making my purchase easy. I got $1500 more for my trade than the dealer down the street and got my daughter a great pre-owned Ford Focus. I was in and out in about 90 minutes without a lot of back and forth negotiation. I will definitely buy from here again.
I would never recommend this dealer to another person. I will not go back, and at this point, will never buy another Subaru. The service department is sub-par. The personnel are disrespectful and inattentive and they have not fixed an ongoing issue with my Forester, after 5 tries. I am severely disappointed not only in the quality of the Subaru I bought, but especially by the quality and responsiveness of this dealership.
My first visit to Busam Subarus Service Department. I was given a tour of the service and parts departments by Josh. He introduced me to Greg. He was great to work with, the service techs did a great job. So glad to connect with this dealer. Very satisfied with this experience, highly recommend their services.
I bought a car from these quacks, and within 22hrs it was in the shop with $2,000 in repairs. When my mother and I inspected the car before buying, the salesman shot down everything we had to say, i.e. the tire tread- well, these are *special* tires and they dont need a lot of tread... granted, we should have got a professional inspection, which the salesman told us *didnt exist*. My single mother and I were severely taken advantage of, I have had this car for 3 years now and it has had $10,000 in repairs since. I will say, the only person worth anything at all in this company is the head mechanic, Justin. Im not sure if he still works here, but the only reason I remember his name was because he was the only want genuinely consoling me after being swindled by the evil salesmen. I swear they put Justin in charge on purpose, because I physically couldnt yell at him!!! And I wanted to!!!! SO ALL IN ALL - do not buy a car from these crooks!!!! But the mechanics are great. They get the singular star of my rating, every one else 0.
My experience with Busam has been completely painless and perfect. The first time I worked with Dzenis he helped me get out of a car that I hated and into a new 2015 WRX. I still dont know what they did to get my pricing so cheap but I couldnt have been happier. Dzenis was delightful throughout the whole process and I truly felt he was doing everything in his power to get me the best deal. I came back a couple years later and picked up my WRX STI. It was a pleasure working with him again. Ask for Dzenis if you want an amazing experience.
I would recommend NOT taking your car to Busam Subaru for any services. I went there for my pre-60,000 service visit, and was told that everything was okay with my car, and that they performed all routine service. The staff was friendly enough, UNTIL I found an issue with my car one week later.Right after my car went over 60,000 and out of warranty, I also had to get the yearly inspection, only 7 days after my visit to Busam. The maintenance staff at another Subaru found a degenerative issue on the oil pan gasket ($500 repair cost, which wouldve been covered under our warranty), something that they say doesnt just happen in 7 days. They were very surprised that Busam services didnt catch it.When the maintenance staff at this other Subaru contacted Busam, they were met with rudeness, as were we. They wouldnt consider the possibility that they didnt perform a thorough inspection.
I bought a subaru legacy 2013 at Busam Subaru in May, which brought me a lot of compliments because of the great price and maintanence plan. The dealer agent dealing with me is Mike Hopper, who is warmhearted and honest person. I recommend strongly of this dealer if you want a Subaru vehicle.
Im a young guy and looking for a fun used car. Went to Busam to check out a few cars I was interested in. I was not taken serious and the salesman was very off putting telling me Im not going to just let you drive all the fun cars if youre not buying anything today. Theyll never get my money.
My husband and I recently bought a hybrid suv from the dealership. The suv wasnt cleaned or detailed, the salesman Rico. He told us the suv was hybrid and used flex fuel as well, which we later found out was untrue. Rico agreed we could bring it back the following week to get the car detailed. After taking a week to get it detailed, we came to pick it up. The detail consisted of vacuuming the carpets. We were not satisfied and they kept it again for 5 more days. Rico offered to fill the gas tank up for our troubles. We picked it up and were satisfied with the detail (however no gas was put in it) drove it off of the lot only to drive down the road and the check engine light came on. We took it back again, the dealership had it again for a few days. We drove it home only to have the check engine light come on the next day. The dealership cant figure out what is wrong with it and we now are taking it elsewhere to be fixed.
After weeks of research, test drives and a plethora of questionable dealers and sales people I found my car at Busam Subara. I was greeted by a very personable, educated and helpful sales agent. Mike was patient, answered all of my questions and worked hard to deliver exactly what I was looking for. Mike clearly enjoys his job helping people find the right car and keeping them content through the whole process, during and after. He is just like us, a real person that will do the little things that differentiate him from the stereotypical. Give Mike Hopper a chance to exceed your needs.
2 months ago i walked into Busam Subaru to work with Chad Lacy to order a new 2015 WRX. It was painless, we negotiated a price on the WRX which was very reasonable especially considering how hard they are to get right now, and they made an offer on my trade which was also very reasonable. I asked where do i sign? So yesterday i get the call and last night i go to pick up my car thinking to myself, it cant be this easy, but it really was! i showed up, did some paperwork, and the next thing you know i am driving my new WRX home. They honored the original agreement to the penny and were not pushy about additional services or options. If i had known that buying a car could be this easy, i would never have gone anywhere else. Go see Chad and see how fun and relaxing buying a car can be. Oh and the new WRX is quite an amazing machine...
Great service center. Didnt buy my car here but got my oil changed and they were upfront about pricing. They offer non-subaru oil and filters for less than subaru brand. I would recommend this since they are rated the same either way and it saves you money. The oil change took an hour, and includes a FREE car wash. The waiting room has free wifi and tv, free drinks, and free snacks.
Went above and beyond my e expectations a lady backed Into my car and i brought it to them with her insurance. A day before i dropped it off i scapred the side of my car on a concrete barrier and thwy biffed the scratches out for free of charge!!! Would defiently recommend the body shop i will be coming back here for sure
I just bought a used Subaru Forester from someone and am having an issue with the key faub, no big deal. So I decided to call the closest Subaru dealer to me (Busam Subaru) and asked if they would fix the issue. The sales representative avoided my question on if they could fix it, and proceeds to ask me aggressively why I didnt buy a used Subaru from their lot, what I paid, and that who I bought the car from didnt know what they were talking about. Obviously Im wondering why this guy is getting blantently rude with me and what his problem was, so I tell him its none of your business and ask him again, can you fix it then says yes and hangs up! All I wanted was a simple question answered, can you fix it and can I get an appointment. Not a lecture on why I didnt buy from your lot. NEVER HAVING ANY SERVICE DONE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!
Ended up buying a non-Subaru (VW) from these guys. Real nice group. Easy and fun to work with...didnt feel pressured to buy. Didnt realize it at the time but my sister also bought from them and had a similar positive experience. Will be looking to purchase from them again in the future.
Not too happy about the service department.Busam Subaru charged me $100 to tell me there is a sound, but we dont know if its coming from the transmission or wheel bearings... But, well remove the transmission to find out, for an additional $500. I said, No thanks! I took it to Danco Transmission, who at no charge ran the car on a dyno and isolated the problem area with a stethoscope. Did I way at no charge?Jeff Schaefer
The Subaru dealer in Fairfield put me on hold and asked if I could wait. And this same dealer off Route 4 continuously send me letters to buy my car, never asking me if it was for sale which it is not for sale. I am retired and plan to drive my 2010 Subaru for a long time to come.
I pulled in the lot on a COLD January day 2017 Roy Cooper came out to meet me all bundled up I gave him a list of what I was looking for . as of 3/13/17//I have a new Subaru Forester Quartz Pearl Blue ,ready to explore new roads. Everyone was very helpful ,,Roy Cooper gets a 5 ***** from me helpful service all the way . Marvin Fields
We were looking at a 2011 outback and brought it to our mechanic. The mechanic thought it might have a salvaged engine (markings on the engine and missing skid plates). Busam denied the claim but really did nothing to prove otherwise so we walked away. The car really didnt drive the best which also made us skeptics. Not say this is their practice, just our experience with this one car.
Avoid this dealership at all costs. The sales guys are okay, however the service department is the worst in town. Rude and unprofessional, theyll try to rip you off with extra service your car does not need. Moreover theyll dismiss any concerns you have with the car.

2022-05-17I chose Busam because they partner with Costco. (There is a closer Subaru dealer.) I met with Russ (Monday afternoon) who was extremely attentive to what I was looking to purchase in a Forrester. There was nothing available to look at or test drive. We discussed the potential to order but I chose to wait and visit other dealerships closer to home. I decided Thursday to order from the local dealership with an anticipated receipt 90-120 days out with potential of price change. Late Saturday afternoon Russ called telling me they had what I was looking for as a trade with an out of state dealership. It would arrive Monday morning at Busam. My Forrester was on their lot less than 6 hours. My search began Monday and ended the following Monday with Fob in hand. Russ was an excellent salesman intent on meeting my wants. As always the paperwork took what seemed like forever but the finance person was likeable, informative, and made the process pleasant.I would recommend Busam as a good dealership to work with and Russ Hice as your salesperson.

2022-04-22Stopped in based on an Internet appt and met with Kyle who helped me find the right car for me. I wanted a more functional car instead of my luxury sport Sedan and the 2022 Outback Touring XT fit the bill. Kyle let me know what was coming In soon and it was perfect. After a shorter wait than expected wait I took delivery and am happy with the car, the deal and the experience. Thanks Kyle.

2022-06-24My wife and I bought our 2022 Outback in May. We are Costco members so we used Costcos Auto Buying program. I was contacted by Josh Crank at Busam. We had a frank discussion about buying a car. Josh made the entire process seem effortless. Ive bought several new cars over the years and this was the most stress-free buying experience that I can remember. Im glad I used my Costco Membership and Im glad I bought the car from Busam.

2022-03-10My daughter was looking to finance herself a new car for the first time. We went to multiple car lots looking for the best deal as well as nicer vehicle for the dollar. After multiple visits to different dealers we ended up at Busam Subaru in Fairfield. She found a car that she absolutely loves almost immediately. Each person that was involved with the process at Busam was very patient & wonderful to work with. We will absolutely be going back there in the future for all vehicle purchases.

2022-06-30Great experience . My sales Rep Russel was great to work with. Extremely professional and very honest will all information presented and ensured that I received all items I paid for as well as satisfied with purchase . Our finance rep , Chan was also very professional , informed and honest , enough that we still keep in touch. Not pressured into “ typical dealer add ons”and made such an impression we have bought two cars from them. We drive by 2 other Subaru dealers ( over 50miles) to do business there. Busam Subaru represents service , and what car buying should be . We will be back in future .

2022-03-30My experience at Busam Subaru was perfect! Lahsen was the perfect sales person from start to finish and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it all worked out. I love my crosstrek! I’m two months in and still so excited to have this amazing and safe vehicle. The finance team and manager at Busam were also super helpful and great to work with. Highly recommend this dealership!

2022-06-27Don’t buy from here. Horrible experience.. Sales consultant Dillion was uninterested in helping and unappreciative of my business. After I made the purchase he handed over the keys and walked back inside. No handshake and no thank you. Tammy in finance messed up the paperwork multiple times throughout the process and couldn’t seem to get us out of her office fast enough. I’ve put maybe 500 miles on the vehicle and the exhaust is now dragging on the ground. The dealership allegedly replaced the catalytic converter which would lead me to believe they also inspected the exhaust system. I was wrong. I would avoid this place at all costs.

2022-03-23I absolutely love my New Legacy. The staff I worked with a Busam Subaru answered any and all questions I had for them right away. They got me a great loan rate and I was able to get all the paperworked signed in a short amount of time to get me on my way enjoying my new car. Definitely recommend going to Busam Subaru for any new or used car.

2022-04-01Was in with a friend who was purchasing a vehicle. The salesman was Steve. He was kind. Was so nice that he took the time to explain & show the many great & some unique features. A different dealership had basically just handed keys for a test drive. Steves manner is what persuaded my friend to purchase from this dealership.

2022-03-10Seems like every time weve come here, the staff gives us the runaround of what they cant do rather than try to help. Theyre very quick to jump out and try to sell you a car (they dont have any new ones on their lot anyway), but when you bring in your Subaru for concerns, they tell you its not that bad and to live with it. We once called just after buying the car to ask if there was a button inside the vehicle to open up the trunk, and the retort was Why would you need that? Youre young; just get out of the car and open it yourself. When we bought the car initially, we didnt mesh with one salesman, so they moved us to another. Then the second stopped replying to our messages when we mentioned we had concerns with the car a couple years later. Avoid the aggravation and go to Kings instead - theyre much nicer and the service department actually listened to us.
